Wow! Isn't it amazing? 00:01:55.34\00:01:57.25 You know, sometimes people think, Well, 00:01:57.28\00:01:59.01 they just have meetings. 00:01:59.05\00:02:00.38 They hear about this speaker, or that person. 00:02:00.42\00:02:02.95 I've never even seen some of that. 00:02:02.98\00:02:05.42 There are so many things going on that there is no way on earth 00:02:05.45\00:02:11.33 anybody could get to all of them. 00:02:11.36\00:02:13.16 Haven't you been amazed? 00:02:13.19\00:02:14.96 The extensive aspect of this camporee is unbelievable. Yeah. 00:02:15.00\00:02:20.17 So many things that are happening; 00:02:20.20\00:02:22.97 many wonderful things. 00:02:23.00\00:02:24.77 And also I'm really amazed at the order. 00:02:24.81\00:02:28.44 You know, you think about the children of Israel, 00:02:28.48\00:02:31.21 maybe a million and half people, two million people 00:02:31.25\00:02:34.55 in the desert, and how they all had their encampments, 00:02:34.58\00:02:37.62 and everything was in order. 00:02:37.65\00:02:38.99 And you go around here; there are approximately, 00:02:39.02\00:02:41.42 well about 47,000 people, 46,000 attending, 00:02:41.46\00:02:45.79 and thousands staying in tents. 00:02:45.83\00:02:48.10 I'm really impressed with the orderliness, even though there 00:02:48.13\00:02:51.33 may be a few problems here and there. 00:02:51.37\00:02:53.13 But God's really blessing. 00:02:53.17\00:02:55.80 Yeah, we don't focus so much on the negative. 00:02:55.84\00:02:58.54 We try to focus on the positive. 00:02:58.57\00:03:00.44 A lot of young people really being influenced, 00:03:00.48\00:03:03.24 and they are influencing. 00:03:03.28\00:03:04.98 They're out passing out literature. 00:03:05.01\00:03:07.12 Tomorrow night we're going to be featuring some of the young 00:03:07.15\00:03:10.89 people that have been going door to door passing out literature, 00:03:10.92\00:03:15.79 and the gentleman that organizes that. 00:03:15.82\00:03:18.09 Well, let me ask you this. 00:03:18.13\00:03:20.06 Last, when we came in, and I've mentioned this before, 00:03:20.10\00:03:22.83 Camille and I were just blown away by the number 00:03:22.86\00:03:26.60 of young people here. 00:03:26.63\00:03:28.07 And I said to her, I believe our church has a great future 00:03:28.10\00:03:33.74 right up till the Lord comes, because of these young people. 00:03:33.78\00:03:36.88 Nearly 50,000 young people here. 00:03:36.91\00:03:39.91 And this is really one of the smaller 00:03:39.95\00:03:44.42 divisions in the world now. 00:03:44.45\00:03:46.05 What does it look like around the world for our youth? 00:03:46.09\00:03:50.23 Truly this is a very impressive setting. 00:03:50.26\00:03:55.73 And, you know, the church was started 00:03:55.76\00:03:58.43 primarily by young people. 00:03:58.47\00:04:00.64 And the work will be finished by young 00:04:00.67\00:04:04.97 people to a great extent. 00:04:05.01\00:04:06.37 And this is only an indication, this kind of a gathering, 00:04:06.41\00:04:09.88 and other gatherings around the world, 00:04:09.91\00:04:11.68 where people get together, young people on fire for the Lord, 00:04:11.71\00:04:16.08 studying God's word. 00:04:16.12\00:04:17.59 The theme for this particular camporee is Forever Faithful, 00:04:17.62\00:04:22.06 focusing on Daniel, on his three friends, 00:04:22.09\00:04:26.59 and upon their faithfulness to God's word, 00:04:26.63\00:04:29.86 and to the principles that were placed in their 00:04:29.90\00:04:33.30 heart by their parents. 00:04:33.34\00:04:34.84 And again, that's such a vital aspect of a young 00:04:34.87\00:04:39.61 person's experience; the instruction and the love, 00:04:39.64\00:04:43.71 the Biblical understanding that starts in the home. 00:04:43.75\00:04:47.55 But all around the world we're seeing a tremendous interest 00:04:47.58\00:04:52.85 on the part of young people, not just in being entertained, 00:04:52.89\00:04:56.93 not just coming to a big meeting where they can just watch, 00:04:56.96\00:05:00.80 but to actually get involved in service, in understanding what 00:05:00.83\00:05:07.70 God has in store for them as a person. 00:05:07.74\00:05:10.24 And we have thousands of young people in so many parts of this 00:05:10.27\00:05:16.04 planet who are on fire for the Lord, giving out literature, 00:05:16.08\00:05:20.52 holding evangelistic meetings, witnessing to their friends, 00:05:20.55\00:05:24.15 enjoying life to the fullest, and allowing 00:05:24.19\00:05:27.32 the Lord to lead them. 00:05:27.36\00:05:28.69 I'm just so proud of our young people who are now focusing 00:05:28.72\00:05:32.69 so heavily on Bible study, on prayer, and on service for God. 00:05:32.73\00:05:37.40 You know, I want to say, too, how much I appreciate leadership 00:05:37.43\00:05:40.07 in the church supporting us. 00:05:40.10\00:05:41.70 I'm not quite Pathfinder age anymore, 00:05:41.74\00:05:43.61 but supporting us as young people in the church. 00:05:43.64\00:05:46.17 I know GYC; you're heavily involved with that, 00:05:46.21\00:05:48.61 of course all of the church activities, 00:05:48.64\00:05:50.38 like Pathfinder Camporee here. 00:05:50.45\00:05:51.91 And I know today, my wife and I were on the sidelines as you 00:05:51.95\00:05:54.88 were involved in a parade. 00:05:54.95\00:05:56.28 You were right there in the midst of the young people. 00:05:56.32\00:05:58.12 And you just came from a special event just before 00:05:58.15\00:06:00.12 you came on Live here. 00:06:00.16\00:06:01.49 Tell us a little bit about that. 00:06:01.52\00:06:02.86 Well, it was a great privilege to baptize two young men: 00:06:02.89\00:06:08.00 Jimuel and Nick, and then to be able to see them completely 00:06:08.03\00:06:13.37 give their lives to the Lord, come up new 00:06:13.40\00:06:15.90 creatures in Jesus Christ. 00:06:15.94\00:06:17.51 And every evening at 6:00 o'clock a baptism takes place. 00:06:17.54\00:06:22.28 They have four pools. 00:06:22.34\00:06:24.15 I think we have a little bit of footage of that. 00:06:24.18\00:06:25.51 While you're talking we'll go and roll that just tonight. 00:06:25.55\00:06:27.48 Four pools, and they baptize at 6:00 o'clock. 00:06:27.52\00:06:30.69 They have it scheduled for different unions from 00:06:30.72\00:06:33.86 North America and international as well. 00:06:33.89\00:06:37.43 There are about, you know, 46,000 attending here. 00:06:37.46\00:06:42.43 I think about 2,000 or more are from outside 00:06:42.46\00:06:46.57 of the North American Division. 00:06:46.60\00:06:47.94 So there is a strong representation, you know, 00:06:47.97\00:06:52.67 so to speak, from world divisions. 00:06:52.71\00:06:55.04 You know, and that's the encouraging thing, isn't it? 00:06:55.08\00:06:57.01 when young people make a stand, and take a 00:06:57.05\00:06:58.85 stand for Jesus Christ. 00:06:58.88\00:07:00.22 Because you think about Daniel. 00:07:00.25\00:07:01.58 He took a tremendous stand, and his friends for Jesus Christ. 00:07:01.62\00:07:04.02 And it doesn't always mean that life will be easy. 00:07:04.05\00:07:06.35 But we know that God is with us, Forever Faithful. 00:07:06.39\00:07:08.62 A great theme, I think, for the Pathfinder Camporee. 00:07:08.66\00:07:10.46 There's a little bit of the footage now, I think, 00:07:10.49\00:07:12.23 of some of the baptism that took place just a few minutes ago 00:07:12.26\00:07:15.20 there right by the main stage. 00:07:15.26\00:07:17.03 Yeah. Oh it was a great opportunity. 00:07:17.07\00:07:19.63 In fact, talking about baptisms, I'd like to also indicate to 00:07:19.70\00:07:25.31 C. A. that we hope that he will be recovering soon, 00:07:25.37\00:07:28.71 because it was a great privilege to baptize right next to C. A. 00:07:28.74\00:07:32.71 in a pool in Manila, Philippines just a few months ago. 00:07:32.75\00:07:38.35 I saw the picture and I told him, I said, You were right 00:07:38.39\00:07:42.42 there next to the president. 00:07:42.46\00:07:43.79 I teased him a little bit about that. 00:07:43.83\00:07:45.23 We had a wonderful time. We praise God. 00:07:45.26\00:07:46.90 But he had a wonderful time there. 00:07:46.93\00:07:50.23 He and Irma, they really loved working with the people there, 00:07:50.27\00:07:55.07 and are looking forward to going back one of these days 00:07:55.10\00:07:57.64 and holding another meeting. 00:07:57.67\00:07:59.01 But baptisms, you know, whether its young people, 00:07:59.04\00:08:01.48 or older people, those are just highlights in our lives. Amen. 00:08:01.51\00:08:06.18 What are some of the plans that you envision for the world field 00:08:06.21\00:08:10.89 for our young people? 00:08:10.92\00:08:12.25 We have right now a plan which we're implementing. 00:08:12.29\00:08:16.39 It's called One Year In Mission, where in New York City 00:08:16.42\00:08:20.73 we started this with a representative 00:08:20.76\00:08:22.93 from every division. 00:08:22.96\00:08:24.30 That representative spent six months in New York helping to 00:08:24.33\00:08:28.57 prepare for the great NY 13 evangelist meetings all across 00:08:28.60\00:08:33.07 New York, a metropolitan area. 00:08:33.11\00:08:35.24 And then from there they went to their divisions. 00:08:35.31\00:08:39.11 They are participating, and have participated in phase two, 00:08:39.15\00:08:43.49 where every union, of every division sent individuals to a 00:08:43.55\00:08:48.39 particular place, a big city where they could do large scale 00:08:48.42\00:08:52.89 evangelism, personal witnessing, following Spirit of Prophecy 00:08:52.93\00:08:57.37 counsel, Biblical counsel. 00:08:57.40\00:08:58.90 Now they're going to phase 3, where they're moving to unions, 00:08:58.93\00:09:02.77 to a city, and conferences will send young people. 00:09:02.80\00:09:06.98 We're hoping in a short time that thousands of young people 00:09:07.01\00:09:12.21 will be involved in giving one year of service, 00:09:12.25\00:09:15.42 sponsored by their local church, assisted by the conference, 00:09:15.48\00:09:19.72 Bible studies, going door to door, evangelistic meetings. 00:09:19.75\00:09:23.93 I believe that once young people get involved in service to the 00:09:23.96\00:09:28.36 Lord, just as Daniel did, serving Him faithfully, 00:09:28.43\00:09:32.10 that God just takes a special place into their hearts. 00:09:32.13\00:09:36.60 You know, that is the way to win our youth 00:09:36.64\00:09:39.94 is to put them to work. 00:09:39.97\00:09:41.61 I'm sure that you were put to work, so to speak, 00:09:41.64\00:09:46.05 when you were a young man. 00:09:46.11\00:09:47.88 The same was true with me. 00:09:47.92\00:09:49.65 If somebody hadn't tapped me on the shoulder and said, 00:09:49.68\00:09:51.92 We want you to do this, and we want you to do that, 00:09:51.95\00:09:54.16 I don't know where I'd have been. 00:09:54.19\00:09:55.69 But they did, and it makes a big difference in our life. 00:09:55.72\00:09:59.16 And we're trying to encourage our viewers to do the very same 00:09:59.19\00:10:03.80 thing with your young people. 00:10:03.83\00:10:05.23 Everything, every young people's program, even our program here 00:10:05.27\00:10:10.44 that they're having with the Pathfinders. 00:10:10.47\00:10:12.27 I haven't seen anything that I didn't approve of, 00:10:12.34\00:10:15.24 but there's always something that you don't. 00:10:15.28\00:10:18.35 But you just keep reaching out preaching the truth, 00:10:18.41\00:10:22.05 helping those young people, and helping them 00:10:22.08\00:10:24.45 to know more about Jesus. 00:10:24.49\00:10:25.82 And I really think that if local churches took an even more 00:10:25.85\00:10:30.33 direct interest, and a greater focus upon the young people 00:10:30.36\00:10:34.43 that they have in their church, even if there are only a few, 00:10:34.46\00:10:38.50 get to know their names. 00:10:38.53\00:10:40.30 Call them by name on Sabbath. 00:10:40.34\00:10:42.40 Tell them you're glad that they're here. 00:10:42.47\00:10:44.41 Put them to work. Make them feel a part of the church. 00:10:44.44\00:10:48.88 Young people will warm up to that and then the Lord can 00:10:48.91\00:10:53.31 use them in a very, very direct way. 00:10:53.35\00:10:56.28 But local churches need to make those young people 00:10:56.32\00:11:00.12 feel very much at home. 00:11:00.16\00:11:01.56 And take a risk with young people. 00:11:01.59\00:11:03.79 Give them something to do and let them run with it, 00:11:03.83\00:11:06.26 even if they make a mistake. 00:11:06.29\00:11:07.63 Don't worry, you know, we all make mistakes, and let's just 00:11:07.66\00:11:11.10 redirect them towards the Lord, and towards the 00:11:11.13\00:11:16.14 Lord's soon coming. 00:11:16.17\00:11:17.51 I believe that young people are really gearing up for something 00:11:17.54\00:11:21.78 very unique and special in the worldwide 00:11:21.81\00:11:24.15 Seventh-day Adventist church right now. 00:11:24.18\00:11:26.45 We see it all over the world, and we're so proud 00:11:26.48\00:11:29.62 of these young people focusing on the Bible, 00:11:29.68\00:11:32.05 focusing on prophecy, focusing on understanding who we are as 00:11:32.09\00:11:36.32 Seventh-day Adventists in these very end times. 00:11:36.36\00:11:39.63 I mean we look around, everything seems to be 00:11:39.66\00:11:41.66 crumbling around us. 00:11:41.70\00:11:43.03 And we just recognize that the Lord is coming very soon. 00:11:43.06\00:11:47.27 And young people are catching the fire. 00:11:47.30\00:11:49.20 They really are. Elder Wilson, would you have a prayer 00:11:49.24\00:11:52.64 with us, and with our viewers so that we can know that our 00:11:52.67\00:11:59.91 leader is seeking God in everything that we are doing. 00:11:59.95\00:12:05.09 Would you do that? 00:12:05.12\00:12:06.45 It would be a privilege. 00:12:06.49\00:12:07.92 Our loving Father, we come to You in this interesting 00:12:07.96\00:12:13.70 makeshift studio of 3ABN here on this enormous campus in Oshkosh. 00:12:13.73\00:12:21.14 And, Lord, we ask in a special way that You will guide and 00:12:21.17\00:12:25.51 bless the transmissions of the programming of 3ABN 00:12:25.54\00:12:31.78 as it reaches into the hearts and the homes of literally 00:12:31.81\00:12:36.15 millions of people around the world. 00:12:36.18\00:12:38.19 We pray for the impact on young people. 00:12:38.22\00:12:42.22 We pray for the guidance that each of us needs in knowing how 00:12:42.26\00:12:46.93 best to help the young people in our own local churches. 00:12:46.96\00:12:51.20 And Lord I just pray for the young people of the 00:12:51.23\00:12:53.64 Seventh-day Adventist Church, and all young people; 00:12:53.67\00:12:56.64 young people who are searching for meaning in life 00:12:56.67\00:13:00.28 as they see role models around them who seem to drift into 00:13:00.31\00:13:06.95 challenging and difficult problems; 00:13:06.98\00:13:09.52 problems with drug and alcohol abuse, problems that end with 00:13:09.55\00:13:15.86 suicide and with a demoralizing end. 00:13:15.89\00:13:19.76 Help young people to lift their vision and see that the Lord has 00:13:19.79\00:13:23.97 something extraordinary for them as they head into 00:13:24.00\00:13:28.17 the future, and that they need to look outside of themselves 00:13:28.20\00:13:31.97 and look to the Lord Jesus Christ, and to helping other 00:13:32.01\00:13:36.21 people find Jesus in their lives. 00:13:36.24\00:13:39.55 So Lord bless our young people, and bless our church as we move 00:13:39.58\00:13:44.75 into the very last days of earth's history. 00:13:44.79\00:13:47.36 We long to see Jesus come. 00:13:47.39\00:13:49.82 We ask that it will be in our lifetime by the grace of Jesus. 00:13:49.86\00:13:54.73 So guide each one of us, and bless this program as it 00:13:54.76\00:13:58.37 continues to reach out and touch the hearts of people. 00:13:58.40\00:14:02.64 In the precious and wonderful name of our Lord and Savior, 00:14:02.67\00:14:06.27 our Creator, and our coming King, and our best friend, 00:14:06.31\00:14:10.51 Jesus Christ, Amen. 00:14:10.55\00:14:12.85 We would love to have you stay with us longer, but we know you 00:14:12.88\00:14:16.72 have another appointment. 00:14:16.75\00:14:18.09 I promised Kevin Costello, my good friend, that we would let 00:14:18.12\00:14:23.73 you go in time for you to be over at the other place at 7:30. 00:14:23.76\00:14:27.46 So thanks again. Great privilege. 00:14:27.50\00:14:30.30 We really appreciate your coming. 00:14:30.33\00:14:31.73 And Greg, it's great to be with you. 00:14:31.77\00:14:33.50 And C. A. we hope you'll be soon with the group again. 00:14:33.54\00:14:39.14 And it's been a privilege to be with all of you 00:14:39.17\00:14:41.14 who are listening. God bless. 00:14:41.18\00:14:42.51 Amen! Well, listen, you've got some good footage 00:14:42.54\00:14:45.78 today to share with us. 00:14:45.81\00:14:47.15 Yes, you know earlier today we were talking about, 00:14:47.18\00:14:49.12 just a few minutes ago, about Elder Wilson being 00:14:49.15\00:14:50.99 involved with the parade. 00:14:51.02\00:14:53.89 And, Oh, several hours ago my wife Jill was able to go out 00:14:53.92\00:14:58.33 there and be involved with the parade, and take some; 00:14:58.36\00:15:00.70 well she, not herself, but some crew members and herself, 00:15:00.73\00:15:04.73 were able to go out and get some footage. 00:15:04.77\00:15:06.63 So we want to go to that video roll right now. 00:15:06.67\00:15:08.44 I'm standing here on the Young Eagles tarmac where the 00:15:10.37\00:15:13.58 excitement has been building to a fever pitch. 00:15:13.61\00:15:16.24 I'm speaking of the daily on-site parade. 00:15:16.28\00:15:19.35 And right now you can see the parade is just 00:15:19.38\00:15:21.32 beginning to start. 00:15:21.35\00:15:22.68 We're privileged today because we have Elder Ted Wilson, 00:15:22.72\00:15:26.32 and his wife Nancy. 00:15:26.35\00:15:27.79 And they are here with us. 00:15:27.82\00:15:29.16 Elder Wilson just addressed the Pathfinders. 00:15:29.19\00:15:31.39 And then we're going to watch them as they go by. 00:15:31.43\00:15:33.50 Each day they have a different union who will be coming 00:15:33.53\00:15:36.73 who will be presenting. 00:15:36.77\00:15:38.90 And today's unions are the North Pacific Union, 00:15:38.93\00:15:41.94 the Pacific Union, and we've had the Mid America Union. 00:15:41.97\00:15:45.64 So we're excited to see the parade and what's going to be 00:15:45.67\00:15:47.88 taking place here today. 00:15:47.91\00:15:49.24 I'm here with a young Pathfinder on the tarmac as the 00:16:13.50\00:16:16.57 parade is marching by. 00:16:16.60\00:16:17.94 And what is your name? 00:16:17.97\00:16:19.31 Timothy. Timothy. And where are you from, Timothy? 00:16:19.34\00:16:21.38 Pennsylvania. Pennsylvania. 00:16:21.41\00:16:23.18 And he has a whole backpack full of pins. 00:16:23.21\00:16:25.78 And we're going to get one of his pins. 00:16:25.81\00:16:27.62 Are you having a good time here at Oshkosh? 00:16:27.65\00:16:29.18 Definitely. Tell me, What is your favorite thing 00:16:29.22\00:16:31.75 about Oshkosh so far? 00:16:31.79\00:16:33.15 Well, you get to meet a lot of new people, and you get to trade 00:16:33.19\00:16:36.46 a lot of these pins, like I said. 00:16:36.49\00:16:38.63 And the best part, I think, about this is to interact 00:16:38.66\00:16:42.40 with one another, getting new friendships 00:16:42.43\00:16:44.10 all around the globe. 00:16:44.13\00:16:45.47 That's great. And I have a new friendship in Timothy; 00:16:45.50\00:16:48.00 a new friend in Timothy. 00:16:48.04\00:16:49.37 It's been an exciting time. 00:16:57.88\00:16:59.41 And we've had the Mid America Union, 00:16:59.45\00:17:00.78 and we've had the Pacific Union, and the North Pacific Union. 00:17:00.82\00:17:03.55 Each day we get to see different Pathfinder unions as they share 00:17:03.59\00:17:07.19 and as they march. 00:17:07.22\00:17:08.56 That was one impressive parade. It was. 00:17:15.73\00:17:19.53 You got a little feel for it, folks. 00:17:19.57\00:17:22.67 But I will tell you when the Mount Rubido went by... 00:17:22.70\00:17:27.24 I could feel the drums in my chest. 00:17:27.28\00:17:28.88 I could! It was so invigorating. 00:17:28.91\00:17:32.11 It was. Very exciting. 00:17:32.15\00:17:33.48 Wonderful church there located near the La Sierra, 00:17:33.52\00:17:36.45 California campus. 00:17:36.48\00:17:38.32 I've been there. Wonderful group of people. 00:17:38.35\00:17:40.59 And what a group of Pathfinders they had. 00:17:40.62\00:17:45.93 I liked that one... I'm sorry, I interrupted you. No! 00:17:45.96\00:17:47.73 That one little young man. 00:17:47.76\00:17:49.10 Didn't you like what he said? 00:17:49.13\00:17:50.47 He liked that he had the ability to connect with 00:17:50.50\00:17:52.00 others around the world. Yeah. 00:17:52.03\00:17:53.44 And that's the neat thing of Pathfinders. 00:17:53.47\00:17:55.07 It's not just North America, but it's worldwide. 00:17:55.10\00:17:57.61 The young man said global interaction. 00:17:57.64\00:18:00.31 And that's neat, isn't it? Yeah. 00:18:00.34\00:18:01.68 That's right. As Elder Wilson said, Over 2,000 that are here 00:18:01.71\00:18:04.81 just from around the world. 00:18:04.85\00:18:06.18 So there's a good mixture, even though the great majority 00:18:06.21\00:18:10.59 are North Americans. 00:18:10.62\00:18:11.95 But, you know, many of our North American's come from 00:18:11.99\00:18:14.62 around the world now. 00:18:14.66\00:18:15.99 So you hear a lot of different accents. 00:18:16.02\00:18:20.23 Well listen, we've got some people that are going to tell us 00:18:20.26\00:18:23.60 about the history of Pathfinders. Excellent. 00:18:23.63\00:18:28.34 Where it got started, how it got started, who started it. 00:18:28.37\00:18:32.67 I think I knew some of those guys. 00:18:32.71\00:18:36.75 They were kind of going off the scene when I was coming on, 00:18:36.78\00:18:39.98 but some interesting people. 00:18:40.02\00:18:42.92 And I'm going to wait and see if you're mentioning the names 00:18:42.95\00:18:45.75 that I think were involved. 00:18:45.79\00:18:47.52 But Terry Dodge, we welcome you. 00:18:47.56\00:18:51.79 And Terry is the President/CEO of Youth Pathfinder 00:18:51.86\00:18:56.73 Discovery Learning Center. 00:18:56.77\00:18:58.50 And we're going to hear some more about that, 00:18:58.53\00:19:01.34 and some plans that they have for the future. 00:19:01.37\00:19:03.87 And then we have Dixie Plata. 00:19:03.91\00:19:07.68 Dixie has really been involved with 00:19:07.71\00:19:10.85 Pathfinders for a long time. 00:19:10.88\00:19:12.81 She's, for a young lady, she's done an awful 00:19:12.85\00:19:15.55 lot with Pathfinders. 00:19:15.58\00:19:16.92 And she knows more about the history of Pathfinders, 00:19:16.95\00:19:20.66 probably, than anyone alive, and has 00:19:20.69\00:19:23.59 gathered more information. 00:19:23.63\00:19:25.03 And then my good friend, Pastor Leo Ranzlin. 00:19:25.06\00:19:29.23 And he's the board chairman of the Youth Pathfinder Discovery 00:19:29.26\00:19:33.70 Learning Center, and at one time vice president of the 00:19:33.74\00:19:38.71 General Conference, retired now, living the life of leisure 00:19:38.74\00:19:43.38 as chairman of the board. 00:19:43.41\00:19:44.75 I'm teasing, but Leo I know you would never, never... 00:19:44.78\00:19:49.18 And we both, we had a very good mutual friend 00:19:49.22\00:19:55.02 in Leonard Westphal. 00:19:55.06\00:19:56.76 Leonard was... I miss him as well. 00:19:56.79\00:20:00.60 So why don't we... Yeah you're going to need to pick up that 00:20:00.63\00:20:05.17 mike though, Leo, if you're... when you're talking. 00:20:05.20\00:20:08.04 Hold it right up to your mouth. 00:20:08.07\00:20:09.64 Because these are very directional, and they won't pick 00:20:09.70\00:20:13.21 you up if we're not doing that. 00:20:13.24\00:20:17.25 Well, Terry, we're going to start with you. 00:20:17.28\00:20:19.45 Give us a little rundown here on this organization, 00:20:19.48\00:20:24.12 and some of the things you're doing. 00:20:24.15\00:20:26.12 And we'll talk a little bit about also the 00:20:26.15\00:20:28.39 booth you have here. 00:20:28.42\00:20:29.76 Well, many years ago, in the late 80's, we began talking 00:20:29.79\00:20:33.76 about having a home where we could display, 00:20:33.80\00:20:36.36 and show the things that would belong to Pathfinders. 00:20:36.43\00:20:39.93 And we kept working on that. 00:20:39.97\00:20:42.54 Dixie became our historian. 00:20:42.57\00:20:45.07 And so as a result of that, we began to see a broader vision, 00:20:45.11\00:20:49.98 more of a youth program, because it was young people who 00:20:50.01\00:20:56.12 started the church. 00:20:56.15\00:20:57.49 And so the whole thing is broadened to where it involves 00:20:57.52\00:21:00.12 the beginning of the church, right down through 00:21:00.16\00:21:01.99 Pathfinders, and on to today. 00:21:02.02\00:21:04.36 And so that's why we're here; here in this place in Oshkosh 00:21:04.39\00:21:08.73 displaying about 27,000 square feet of artifacts, 00:21:08.76\00:21:14.14 and things over the history of our church. 00:21:14.17\00:21:16.74 Wow! That's amazing! Have you been to see this? 00:21:16.77\00:21:22.21 You know, unfortunately, I haven't been able to, 00:21:22.24\00:21:24.98 but I know we have some footage. 00:21:25.01\00:21:26.35 When we go and roll that I'll get it. 00:21:26.38\00:21:27.78 I'll get my first time to actually see that. Okay. 00:21:27.82\00:21:29.65 Let's actually go ahead and roll some of that now, 00:21:29.68\00:21:31.72 and you can tell us what we're looking at here. 00:21:31.75\00:21:33.76 Well, here we're looking at the map that young people can come 00:21:33.79\00:21:36.96 in and put a pin on where they're from; 00:21:36.99\00:21:39.36 either United States, or North America, or the world. 00:21:39.39\00:21:42.90 Dixie this is of Room 1. 00:21:42.93\00:21:45.90 These are the flags of the North American Division. 00:21:45.93\00:21:49.54 This happens to be a display of camping, and trying to give the 00:21:49.57\00:21:53.71 young people an idea of the things that happened from the 00:21:53.74\00:21:56.38 beginning and onward. 00:21:56.44\00:21:57.81 At Room 2 we have the history of the 00:21:57.85\00:22:02.15 Seventh-day Adventist Church. 00:22:02.18\00:22:03.52 It was started with young people. Yes. 00:22:03.55\00:22:04.89 And we want our young people to know they're 00:22:04.95\00:22:07.66 part of this church. Right. 00:22:07.69\00:22:09.02 Ellen White was seventeen when she had her first vision. Yeah. 00:22:09.06\00:22:12.53 So this is all here at the Pathfinder booth 00:22:12.56\00:22:15.93 to create the history in the museum. 00:22:15.96\00:22:18.30 And so what are we looking at here? 00:22:18.33\00:22:20.60 This is the Junior Missionary Volunteers talking about 00:22:20.64\00:22:24.24 our reading program. 00:22:24.31\00:22:25.64 Here's Desmond Doss who was a great person in typing knots; 00:22:25.67\00:22:30.31 saved all those people during the war. 00:22:30.35\00:22:32.51 That's his uniform. Wow! 00:22:32.58\00:22:34.15 Here's the honors that were developed during those times. 00:22:34.18\00:22:37.99 Dixie, there was what? 27, 28 the first go around? 00:22:38.02\00:22:42.22 Then we have also the summer camps of all 00:22:42.26\00:22:46.93 the conferences displayed. Incredible! 00:22:46.96\00:22:49.63 And then different things, like the honor. 00:22:50.60\00:22:52.53 That's a knot board, not honor. 00:22:52.57\00:22:55.94 And this is the native American display that we have here 00:22:55.97\00:22:59.31 showing where they can learn their Indian lore. 00:22:59.34\00:23:02.11 They had a wonderful leader called Danny Davis, 00:23:02.14\00:23:04.88 who I worked with many times. 00:23:04.91\00:23:06.31 And a wonderful man who passed away, but we were happy to show 00:23:06.38\00:23:09.88 a display of his life ministry to young people. Excellent. 00:23:09.92\00:23:13.42 This is in the world Pathfinder area, Area 7. 00:23:13.46\00:23:18.09 And we have items there from Inter America, South America, 00:23:18.13\00:23:22.56 Australia, South Africa, Finland, South Korea. 00:23:22.63\00:23:27.87 We are collecting all the time. 00:23:27.90\00:23:29.24 We want our young people to know all around the world 00:23:29.27\00:23:32.34 God loves them, and they're part of this program. 00:23:32.37\00:23:35.71 Young people are able to actually build a canoe. 00:23:35.74\00:23:39.05 I saw them chiseling away. 00:23:39.11\00:23:40.98 That's exactly what they were. 00:23:41.02\00:23:42.88 Yeah. And so we just cover the whole entire history of the 00:23:42.92\00:23:47.86 church and our youth ministry and Pathfinders. 00:23:47.89\00:23:51.63 Wow! 27,000 square feet here in the Pathfinder. 00:23:51.66\00:23:55.33 That's what the museum takes up the space here? Correct. 00:23:55.36\00:23:57.40 Yep, wow, that's a large space. 00:23:57.43\00:23:59.67 Now where did Pathfinders actually start? Well, Dixie. 00:23:59.70\00:24:04.21 Pathfinders started in Southeastern California 00:24:04.24\00:24:07.14 Conference, and there's a lot of stories about that. 00:24:07.18\00:24:10.71 Some of them are not true. Right. 00:24:10.75\00:24:12.68 Some of the books that we read that tell us that Pathfinders 00:24:12.71\00:24:16.99 started at a certain time, and it was the first Conference 00:24:17.02\00:24:19.62 sponsored are incorrect. 00:24:19.65\00:24:21.62 But 1927-28, John McKemm with Pastor Guy Mann, 00:24:21.69\00:24:27.90 who was the youth director there decided that they wanted to 00:24:27.93\00:24:31.43 do something for young people. 00:24:31.47\00:24:32.93 John had been a Scout Master, and he knew that that wasn't 00:24:32.97\00:24:39.11 going to work for our Adventist young people. 00:24:39.14\00:24:40.91 We needed something for ourselves. 00:24:40.94\00:24:42.58 And he was a custodian at... 00:24:42.61\00:24:45.21 It's a long story and a great one. 00:24:45.25\00:24:46.58 But he was a custodian in Orange County School District. 00:24:46.61\00:24:49.85 And one of the schools they went to was the Fremont School. 00:24:49.88\00:24:53.09 And he kept reading the plaque about 00:24:53.12\00:24:54.89 John Fremont the Pathfinder. 00:24:54.92\00:24:56.56 And his colleagues teased him and called him Mr. Pathfinder. 00:24:56.59\00:25:00.26 That's where our name actually came from. 00:25:00.30\00:25:02.06 Is that right? Wow! 00:25:02.10\00:25:03.43 Later Arthur Spalding told stories about Fremont, too, 00:25:03.47\00:25:07.34 and that name really stuck. Un huh. 00:25:07.37\00:25:09.54 But that's where it originally began. 00:25:09.57\00:25:11.67 Is that right? Group 10, that one of the rules, you know? 00:25:11.71\00:25:15.68 And I have me a thrill, because this is an awesome program. 00:25:15.71\00:25:18.11 Right. It's been a thrill just to tell a little bit of the 00:25:18.15\00:25:21.12 history of Pathfinders. 00:25:21.15\00:25:22.48 Because don't you know, in 1950, that's when the 00:25:22.52\00:25:24.79 General Conference officially approved the Pathfinder program. 00:25:24.85\00:25:28.36 But, of course, John Hancock, my boss. Yeah. 00:25:28.39\00:25:30.79 You know, famous. You remember him with his accordion. Yeah. 00:25:30.83\00:25:34.46 He was a wonderful man; in music, a teacher, a singer, 00:25:34.53\00:25:38.47 and he designed many of the honors. 00:25:38.50\00:25:40.87 He designed the triangle. 00:25:40.90\00:25:42.24 He was a fantastic man. He was my boss. Right. 00:25:42.27\00:25:44.37 And he had the idea, because the people, you know, they see this 00:25:44.41\00:25:47.64 scouting program, but there was something lacking there. 00:25:47.68\00:25:50.75 The spiritual part. Yeah. That's right. 00:25:50.78\00:25:52.28 And would you believe there's some people who are against 00:25:52.31\00:25:54.35 starting Pathfinder clubs? 00:25:54.38\00:25:55.72 I can believe it. But there's always those, you know? 00:25:55.75\00:25:57.85 But officially filing we started in 1950. 00:25:57.89\00:26:00.89 And you know what it is? 00:26:00.92\00:26:02.26 There's over two million Pathfinders all over the world. 00:26:02.29\00:26:03.66 Okay now. Just amazing. 00:26:03.69\00:26:05.03 Originally started in 1950; John Hancock right? 00:26:05.06\00:26:07.96 Well, the General Conference approved in 1950. 00:26:08.00\00:26:10.90 But John Hancock, '46, '47, he was already involved 00:26:10.93\00:26:13.77 with Lawrence Falson, and Larry Skinner, all these great leaders 00:26:13.80\00:26:18.71 of the past. Okay. Yes. Yep. 00:26:18.74\00:26:21.24 Dixie were you ever part of any of those clubs? 00:26:21.28\00:26:25.31 I was a part of a club in 1950 at Spangle, Washington. 00:26:25.35\00:26:28.75 Were you? Yeah. Is that right? 00:26:28.78\00:26:30.19 And I've been in Pathfinders for more than 00:26:30.22\00:26:32.85 fifty years now as staff. Yeah? 00:26:32.89\00:26:35.36 So, yeah, I've been around awhile. 00:26:35.42\00:26:37.66 You've been around, haven't you? 00:26:37.69\00:26:39.89 I believe in Pathfinders. 00:26:39.93\00:26:41.63 You do, don't you? 00:26:41.66\00:26:43.00 Do you know there were only seven leaders for the Pathfinder 00:26:43.03\00:26:46.03 church? Only seven, you know, for the world church. 00:26:46.07\00:26:49.70 And three of them are here, right now. Really? 00:26:49.74\00:26:52.37 Another one in Australia, but Elder Skinner passed away, 00:26:52.41\00:26:56.34 John Hancock, and also Mike Stevenson. 00:26:56.38\00:26:58.91 But four are still alive, and the program is still growing. 00:26:58.95\00:27:02.28 From the original group? Yes. Is that right? 00:27:02.32\00:27:05.22 And I had the privilege of being number 3. Did you really? 00:27:05.25\00:27:07.76 That's the General Conference leaders. Yeah, right. 00:27:07.79\00:27:11.09 It was my life. I enjoyed that very much. 00:27:11.13\00:27:13.43 That's why I joined this group here, because I'd just have 00:27:13.46\00:27:16.20 to stay behind, you know. 00:27:16.23\00:27:17.57 It's an awesome program that they have. 00:27:17.60\00:27:19.17 It really is. Yes. Well, Terry, when did you really get 00:27:19.23\00:27:22.10 involved with Pathfinders? 00:27:22.14\00:27:23.47 I got involved when I was ten years old, in 1953. 00:27:23.51\00:27:27.94 Alright, so just three years after you started. 00:27:27.98\00:27:30.48 That's right. Exactly. Wow! 00:27:30.51\00:27:31.85 And what conference was that in? 00:27:31.88\00:27:33.42 It was in the Michigan Conference. Uh huh. 00:27:33.45\00:27:35.22 So I had the privilege of being in Pathfinders, and then, 00:27:35.25\00:27:37.89 of course, working into staff as I got a little older. 00:27:37.95\00:27:40.56 Do you remember who the youth leader was in 00:27:40.59\00:27:42.16 Michigan in those days? 00:27:42.19\00:27:43.53 Well, it was Fred Biven was our leader, 00:27:43.56\00:27:47.50 and was our youth director at that time. 00:27:47.53\00:27:51.43 And Merrill Fleming was involved with Pathfinders. Alright. 00:27:51.47\00:27:54.94 And he was there for 26 years. Okay. 00:27:54.97\00:27:57.97 So then I went back and was asked to take his place, 00:27:58.01\00:28:02.04 and be in the conference. 00:28:02.08\00:28:03.98 So from '90 to 2010 I served the Pathfinder ministry 00:28:04.01\00:28:09.48 in Michigan Conference. 00:28:09.52\00:28:11.05 In Michigan Conference. 00:28:11.09\00:28:12.42 Alright, that was... And Michigan has a great history of 00:28:12.45\00:28:17.59 working with our youth, and especially with Pathfinders, 00:28:17.63\00:28:20.83 as does Southeastern California Conference. 00:28:20.86\00:28:23.06 That's another area that's been really strong. 00:28:23.10\00:28:26.84 But Jim, this thing is not just a museum that we have. No. 00:28:26.87\00:28:30.71 It is a learning center. Okay. 00:28:30.74\00:28:33.07 Youth Pathfinder Discovery Learning Center. 00:28:33.11\00:28:36.11 You know, I talked to some of my friends in Brazil. 00:28:36.14\00:28:38.41 I just came back in January. 00:28:38.45\00:28:39.81 We have 35,000 there. 00:28:39.85\00:28:41.42 We had the leaders, you know. 00:28:41.48\00:28:42.82 We thought we had the largest, but now we've got beaten over 00:28:42.85\00:28:44.85 here, and we're happy for that. 00:28:44.89\00:28:47.56 Well, Brazilians don't like to lose at anything. 00:28:47.59\00:28:49.92 Oh, of course, of course. 00:28:49.96\00:28:51.29 Especially in soccer. 00:28:51.33\00:28:52.66 Not even in soccer, right? Ha, ha, ha. 00:28:52.69\00:28:54.03 But, anyway, this is... many of my friends said that. 00:28:54.06\00:28:56.73 As soon as this thing is done, we want to go over there 00:28:56.77\00:28:59.93 to train some of our leaders. 00:29:00.00\00:29:01.64 They're not just seeing the history of the church, 00:29:01.67\00:29:03.74 but they will be able to learn skills to lead the youth, 00:29:03.81\00:29:07.44 and the Pathfinder program around the world. 00:29:07.48\00:29:09.34 Well, that's great. It really is. 00:29:09.38\00:29:10.98 No, teasing a little bit about... 00:29:11.01\00:29:12.51 I've got so many great Brazilian friends. 00:29:12.55\00:29:15.78 But I think... Leonard Westphal was one. 00:29:15.82\00:29:17.95 Yeah, he really was. 00:29:17.99\00:29:19.69 But I think that... and Moses Primo is another. 00:29:19.75\00:29:22.76 He's with us, you know. Yes, yes, I know. 00:29:22.82\00:29:25.76 But anytime you want to humble a Brazilian now you just say 00:29:25.79\00:29:29.33 7 to 1... Oh my, please don't mention that. Ha, ha, ha, ha! 00:29:29.36\00:29:34.00 That's all you have to say. 00:29:35.17\00:29:36.50 That's okay. Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha! 00:29:36.54\00:29:38.04 Well Terry, what is the dream now of the Pathfinder Museum? 00:29:38.07\00:29:45.71 Well, our dream is to have a facility that we can have year 00:29:45.75\00:29:51.25 round showing the story of God's leading, as seen through 00:29:51.29\00:29:54.96 the eyes of young people. 00:29:54.99\00:29:56.52 It will tell the story. 00:29:56.56\00:29:57.99 Young people started the work, and young people are going to 00:29:58.03\00:30:01.13 continue the work, and finish the work. 00:30:01.16\00:30:03.33 Because when you think about it, it is amazing what God 00:30:03.37\00:30:07.67 has done in this church. Yes it is. 00:30:07.70\00:30:10.01 And so we want to share that story. 00:30:10.04\00:30:12.27 And so we're looking at Battle Creek is where we're 00:30:12.31\00:30:15.51 wanting to establish this. 00:30:15.54\00:30:17.18 And it will be the mother, shall we say? 00:30:17.21\00:30:19.35 And from there we can in turn have satellites going out 00:30:19.41\00:30:23.45 to other countries. 00:30:23.49\00:30:24.82 Already, Dixie, what countries have we already 00:30:24.85\00:30:26.19 started? some places? 00:30:26.22\00:30:27.56 South America, Inner America, and South Korea, 00:30:27.59\00:30:30.46 we've helped start museums. 00:30:30.53\00:30:33.40 Somebody told me they were in South Korea recently 00:30:33.43\00:30:36.03 and there were thousands, and thousands of young people 00:30:36.06\00:30:39.83 that were involved in the Pathfinder affair there. 00:30:39.87\00:30:43.00 The rest of you should know that Terry, and Norm Middag, 00:30:43.04\00:30:46.44 and Dixie, and myself, we approached 00:30:46.47\00:30:48.54 Dan Jackson and Elder Wilson. 00:30:48.58\00:30:50.28 It has been approved officially by the North American Division, 00:30:50.31\00:30:54.08 and by the General Conference. 00:30:54.12\00:30:55.45 So you would be a part of the village there? 00:30:55.48\00:30:57.89 No, we'll be near the village. Near the village. 00:30:57.92\00:31:01.12 The village has a time line that ends in 1905. Okay. 00:31:01.16\00:31:04.69 So we wouldn't fit in there because ours goes early, 00:31:04.86\00:31:08.13 and then goes much later. Right. 00:31:08.16\00:31:09.90 So we're going to go near the village. 00:31:09.93\00:31:11.37 Near the village. So you're looking for property there? 00:31:11.40\00:31:14.50 Property there. We... 00:31:14.54\00:31:15.87 And if somebody wants to help with this project, how do they 00:31:15.90\00:31:18.87 get in touch with you, Terry? 00:31:18.91\00:31:20.24 They can get in touch with us by going on the website: 00:31:20.28\00:31:23.01 ypdiscoverycenter.org. Okay. 00:31:23.04\00:31:27.92 And that will get them right to our website. 00:31:27.95\00:31:29.88 And that will have the addresses, the e-mails, 00:31:29.92\00:31:33.05 the phone numbers. 00:31:33.09\00:31:34.42 All of that information will be right there on the website 00:31:34.46\00:31:36.19 that they can contact me and Dixie, so either one of us, 00:31:36.22\00:31:39.96 and how they can also contribute to help the project financially. 00:31:40.00\00:31:45.60 And that's what we want them to do is help you financially, 00:31:45.63\00:31:49.30 to be able to put this center together. 00:31:49.34\00:31:51.77 So if you didn't get that, it's ypdiscoverycenter. org 00:31:51.81\00:31:59.91 If you don't get that, if you call us at 3ABN, 00:31:59.95\00:32:03.08 we'll have, the operators will have it, 00:32:03.12\00:32:04.99 and they'll get you in touch with these two. 00:32:05.02\00:32:08.26 Because we want you to have an opportunity to support this. 00:32:08.29\00:32:11.76 We believe in what you're doing. 00:32:11.79\00:32:13.56 And, you know, we're told that as we forget how God has led 00:32:13.60\00:32:19.93 in the past, that's when we don't move forward 00:32:19.97\00:32:23.77 properly for the future. 00:32:23.81\00:32:25.14 And I'm restating it intentionally. 00:32:25.17\00:32:28.41 But I do believe that we must see how God has led in the past, 00:32:28.44\00:32:34.78 and keep that before our young people. 00:32:34.82\00:32:36.48 And, you know, this afternoon Elder Jackson and Elder Wilson 00:32:36.52\00:32:40.19 they went through the whole thing 00:32:40.22\00:32:41.96 They were just completely amazed by what they saw. 00:32:41.99\00:32:44.79 Oh yeah. It's just beautiful. 00:32:44.83\00:32:46.33 I think one of the beautiful things too, of having a Museum 00:32:46.36\00:32:48.66 Learning and Discovery Center is that I'm sure you get 00:32:48.70\00:32:51.47 sometimes some very young Pathfinders coming through. 00:32:51.50\00:32:53.90 I'm sure they're quite amazed, aren't they? when they see 00:32:53.94\00:32:56.77 where Pathfinders has come from, what its built into. 00:32:56.81\00:32:59.41 Because some of these, this is all they know, seeing Oshkosh, 00:32:59.44\00:33:02.61 seeing what Pathfinders is today. 00:33:02.64\00:33:04.81 And so it's a great way for them to become familiar, 00:33:04.85\00:33:07.35 and see those who've brought it to where it is now. 00:33:07.38\00:33:09.55 And, of course, Jesus Christ is the One that has brought it 00:33:09.58\00:33:11.85 to where it is now. 00:33:11.89\00:33:13.22 But have you had any experiences with any young people coming 00:33:13.25\00:33:15.62 through totally amazed, shocked at what they're seeing? 00:33:15.66\00:33:18.26 Well, a lot of them are because they've never seen 00:33:18.29\00:33:20.80 anything like this before. Yes, absolutely. 00:33:20.83\00:33:23.37 The other thing, Jim, I'd like to just mention is that we see 00:33:23.40\00:33:27.30 this as an evangelistic outreach of the church 00:33:27.34\00:33:31.07 for several reasons. 00:33:31.11\00:33:32.51 We know that there are people who come to the village now, 00:33:32.54\00:33:35.64 at the Heritage Village in Battle Creek, who have children. 00:33:35.68\00:33:39.95 They come through. I've had people come to events in they 00:33:39.98\00:33:43.42 ask, How can my children become a part of Pathfinders, 00:33:43.45\00:33:47.09 or Adventures, or something? 00:33:47.12\00:33:49.16 Or how can we organize a club? 00:33:49.19\00:33:50.93 That's right. So our purpose is going to be to get the name 00:33:50.96\00:33:55.20 of that individual, their address, phone number, 00:33:55.23\00:33:58.23 and call the area they came from and ask to let them know 00:33:58.27\00:34:02.10 they can be contacted that they want to be a part of the club. 00:34:02.14\00:34:04.91 Also we know that there are a lot of people who have been 00:34:04.94\00:34:09.18 in Pathfinders over the years. 00:34:09.21\00:34:11.28 Maybe something happened in their life. 00:34:11.31\00:34:12.65 They left the Lord, and they left the church. 00:34:12.68\00:34:14.75 They won't go to a church, but they'll come to the 00:34:14.78\00:34:18.42 Discovery Learning Center. 00:34:18.45\00:34:19.79 They come there; something kindles in their heart. 00:34:19.82\00:34:23.36 They remember stories... I could tell you stories of 00:34:23.39\00:34:26.33 baptisms as a result of things like this. 00:34:26.36\00:34:28.50 People will be reclaimed. Yes. 00:34:28.53\00:34:31.10 So we're seeing this as a total outreach 00:34:31.13\00:34:33.54 ministry evangelistically. Wow! 00:34:33.57\00:34:36.34 Amen. Now I know we have some graphics, some pictures that 00:34:36.37\00:34:39.67 we'd like to show right now. 00:34:39.81\00:34:41.14 And you can explain a little bit about what we're looking at 00:34:41.18\00:34:42.51 here on the screen. 00:34:42.54\00:34:44.41 Here's our first Youth Instructor in 1852, 00:34:44.45\00:34:47.65 right? 1852, yes. That was before I was born. 00:34:47.68\00:34:52.05 I was just thinking, I was trying to remember if it was. 00:34:52.09\00:34:54.26 Now Luther Warren and Harry Finner were 14 and 17 when they 00:34:54.29\00:34:58.79 began the first youth program in 1879 in Hazelton, Michigan. 00:34:58.83\00:35:03.73 Wow! Okay! M. E. Kern was our first General Conference 00:35:03.77\00:35:09.34 youth leader, 1907. Alright. 00:35:09.37\00:35:12.47 1907! What are we looking at here? 00:35:12.51\00:35:14.88 Well, this is interesting because a lot of young people 00:35:14.91\00:35:17.05 have been involved in Ingathering over the years. 00:35:17.08\00:35:19.25 Oh yes, I was, too! 00:35:19.28\00:35:20.88 And that was started by Jasper Wayne, and the year was? 00:35:20.92\00:35:24.69 Oh, you can't ask me that right now. Okay. 00:35:24.72\00:35:27.56 I've had a long day. 00:35:27.59\00:35:28.92 And, of course, this is our pledge and our law. 00:35:28.96\00:35:33.66 That was in 1921, I believe. 00:35:33.70\00:35:36.16 1919. 1919, okay. Wow! 00:35:36.20\00:35:39.90 So this was written, and this is what we follow today; 00:35:39.93\00:35:42.34 the same thing we use today. 00:35:42.37\00:35:44.81 What a wonderful pledge. 00:35:44.84\00:35:46.17 Absolutely, absolutely. 00:35:46.21\00:35:47.54 It's meaningful. Oh yes, very much so. 00:35:47.58\00:35:50.15 What do you think about this Pathfinder Camporee 00:35:50.18\00:35:53.88 that we're attending right now? 00:35:53.92\00:35:55.48 What are some of your impressions of the camporee? 00:35:55.52\00:35:58.15 Camporees, I've been a part of them since Cape Hale in 1985, 00:35:58.19\00:36:03.22 and I believe in them. 00:36:03.26\00:36:04.59 I think it's a great thing that our young people can get 00:36:04.63\00:36:07.03 together from around the world, and across the division, 00:36:07.06\00:36:10.23 and meet friends, and see the things that they are seeing, 00:36:10.27\00:36:14.10 participate in the things that they are participating in, 00:36:14.14\00:36:16.24 and to learn how to become more like Jesus. 00:36:16.27\00:36:21.41 In the stories that are shared every evening, 00:36:21.44\00:36:24.55 what a message they get. 00:36:24.58\00:36:26.21 What a theme: Forever Faithful. Amen, yeah, absolutely. 00:36:26.25\00:36:31.02 And when you look at the life of Daniel and his friends. Right. 00:36:31.05\00:36:35.76 Wow! you do see faithfulness. 00:36:35.79\00:36:37.93 You really do, in every aspect of their life. 00:36:37.96\00:36:41.30 One of the interesting things, you know, you remember the World 00:36:41.33\00:36:43.57 Youth Conference in Zurich? Yes. 00:36:43.60\00:36:45.50 I remember the people that came from Ireland. 00:36:45.53\00:36:47.84 They were just such a small group, and they saw the 00:36:47.87\00:36:49.90 enormous congress with all those young people. 00:36:49.97\00:36:52.37 And those that come from overseas, or even the smaller 00:36:52.41\00:36:55.04 areas, and they are just amazed to be a part of a great 00:36:55.08\00:36:58.08 movement, you know. 00:36:58.11\00:36:59.45 Because this is an agency that has saved a lot of souls, 00:36:59.48\00:37:01.72 12 years old 13, and we baptize more young people in our church. 00:37:01.75\00:37:05.55 That's when they make their commitments for Christ. 00:37:05.59\00:37:07.99 When they come over here, they'll never 00:37:08.02\00:37:09.66 forget this experience. 00:37:09.69\00:37:11.03 You know it's true, Leo. 00:37:11.06\00:37:12.39 And some of these young people come from maybe a little church 00:37:12.43\00:37:15.73 in Illinois, or a little church in Kansas, or in Texas, 00:37:15.76\00:37:19.63 and all they see is a little church. 00:37:19.67\00:37:22.70 We're not that small, are we? Right. 00:37:22.74\00:37:24.11 And then they come here and Wow! 00:37:24.14\00:37:26.71 There's that many kids in our... 00:37:26.74\00:37:28.94 Overwhelming, it's overwhelming. 00:37:28.98\00:37:31.11 It is! Well, it just makes them feel like, you know something? 00:37:31.15\00:37:35.18 And I remember growing up in a town in Tyler, Texas. 00:37:35.22\00:37:39.65 We had 27 members in our church, and just 3 or 4 young people. 00:37:39.69\00:37:44.53 And I just remember feeling how small we were until I saw 00:37:44.56\00:37:50.33 the numbers of our worldwide church, 00:37:50.37\00:37:52.83 which at time was only 300,000. 00:37:52.87\00:37:55.17 You'll never forget that. 00:37:55.20\00:37:56.54 Right, but I kept thinking, Wow, we're part of a larger thing. 00:37:56.57\00:38:00.44 We're not just 27 people, you know. 00:38:00.48\00:38:03.08 So this, I think, helps our young people to realize this is 00:38:03.14\00:38:07.02 a gigantic work around the world. Amen. 00:38:07.05\00:38:09.95 And its growing leaps and bounds. 00:38:09.98\00:38:12.09 It took from the time 1863, when they organized the church, 00:38:12.12\00:38:17.36 till 1963; it took 100 years to get to the first 00:38:17.39\00:38:22.63 million mark worldwide. 00:38:22.66\00:38:24.00 Isn't that something? 00:38:24.03\00:38:25.37 Isn't that amazing? Yeah. 00:38:25.40\00:38:26.74 And now here we are 51 years later knocking on the 00:38:26.77\00:38:32.27 door of twenty million. 00:38:32.31\00:38:33.64 I mean we're 18, 19 million, somewhere in that range. 00:38:33.68\00:38:36.61 That is amazing! In just 50 years to do 18 times what was 00:38:36.64\00:38:41.68 done in a hundred years. 00:38:41.72\00:38:43.05 Was like me when I started my ministry only. 00:38:43.08\00:38:45.42 And look what we have now. 00:38:45.45\00:38:46.86 Yeah, exactly! It was you Leo. Yes! Ha, ha, ha. 00:38:46.89\00:38:50.46 Before you came on the scene we only had a few thousand members. 00:38:50.49\00:38:54.96 That's right! Yeah. Well, I tell you, 00:38:55.00\00:38:57.80 the work has grown all over. 00:38:57.83\00:39:00.44 And other divisions even more than here. Yes. 00:39:00.47\00:39:04.21 It was like I mentioned to Pastor Wilson, we're one of the 00:39:04.24\00:39:09.01 smallest divisions now here, and look at the number of young 00:39:09.04\00:39:13.82 people that God has blessed us with. 00:39:13.85\00:39:16.38 And you can imagine the numbers in these divisions that 00:39:16.42\00:39:20.59 have 2 million members. 00:39:20.62\00:39:22.12 I mean they have just an awful lot of young people. 00:39:22.16\00:39:26.76 Well, it's exciting. Yes. 00:46:19.81\00:46:22.48 You know, you say, Oh, what's Kids Time? when you're 00:46:22.51\00:46:24.18 wearing that shirt. 00:46:24.21\00:46:25.55 So it's a wonderful way to witness as well. 00:46:25.58\00:46:27.42 Well, it really is. 00:46:27.45\00:46:28.78 Well, another great day here. 00:46:28.82\00:46:31.29 Another great day. Okay. 00:46:43.13\00:46:44.87 Um, that we could... 00:46:44.90\00:46:46.23 Part of what we actually just rolled, actually just now. 00:46:46.27\00:46:49.17 Oh, so we'll show the rest tomorrow then. Okay? 00:46:49.20\00:46:52.57 Well, we have some really fun times. 00:46:52.61\00:46:55.38 We had a lot of kids come from different countries here today. 00:46:55.41\00:46:58.71 We had from different parts of the country. 00:46:58.75\00:47:01.05 We had somebody from Columbia, from Panama, from Barbados, 00:47:01.08\00:47:04.52 and I think there were kids here from New Mexico, Virginias; 00:47:04.55\00:47:11.79 I mean all over, so they really have a mix of kids. 00:47:11.83\00:47:14.66 And then I had a chance to go back into the booth 00:47:14.70\00:47:18.17 this afternoon and greet and meet a whole lot more, 00:47:18.20\00:47:20.87 and stir up a lot of interest to get kids to come tomorrow. 00:47:20.90\00:47:24.21 Because we can't tape without the kids. No, that's true. 00:47:24.24\00:47:26.98 So really kids are excited about coming. 00:47:27.01\00:47:30.21 One little girl came up to me and she says, I've wanted to be 00:47:30.25\00:47:33.25 on TV my whole life. Ha, ha, ha. 00:47:33.28\00:47:36.55 I think she was nine, you know. Bless her heart! 00:47:36.58\00:47:39.55 Well, she does want to be on. 00:47:39.59\00:47:41.92 She wants to be on, and they're going to be able. 00:47:41.96\00:47:43.53 Well, I said, Well you can be. 00:47:43.56\00:47:44.89 Could we get some footage of her we could show? 00:47:44.93\00:47:46.43 Because that would be great to show her. 00:47:46.46\00:47:48.46 It would be awesome. 00:47:48.50\00:47:49.83 Well, if she shows up tomorrow night we'll make sure that we... 00:47:49.86\00:47:51.20 I'll get a little side interview that we can show for 00:47:51.23\00:47:53.54 tomorrow night's program. 00:47:53.57\00:47:55.24 Alright, we'll put her on. 00:47:55.27\00:47:56.60 And also tomorrow night we have Rich Agulara, 00:47:56.64\00:47:59.54 our new nature, ranger guy on Kids Time. 00:47:59.57\00:48:04.15 So he's really amazing. 00:48:04.18\00:48:06.31 He travels all over the world, and people are really going to 00:48:06.35\00:48:08.98 be interested in hearing about him. 00:48:09.02\00:48:11.29 But I wanted to give an update, if I could. 00:48:11.32\00:48:13.69 For those of you that saw us say hello to Nori last night on the 00:48:13.72\00:48:19.79 program, I got a text from Nori, and she said that she was 00:48:19.83\00:48:23.80 able to see us talking about her. 00:48:23.83\00:48:25.53 And when you started to pray for her, Pastor Gilley, 00:48:25.57\00:48:28.30 she said her nurse was in the room. 00:48:28.34\00:48:30.61 And they were all crying, even her nurse. 00:48:30.67\00:48:32.97 That touched her nurse's heart so much that you prayed for her. 00:48:33.01\00:48:36.04 Wow! So I was really, I thought that the viewers would like to 00:48:36.08\00:48:39.71 know that Nori did get to hear your message, and the prayer. 00:48:39.75\00:48:42.92 Well, I did request the prayer, but actually 00:48:42.95\00:48:45.09 Greg did the praying. 00:48:45.12\00:48:46.45 That's right, that's right! 00:48:46.49\00:48:48.12 But we're all praying for Nori's recovery. 00:48:48.16\00:48:50.59 We're all praying. We really are. We're all praying. 00:48:50.63\00:48:53.16 And we believe that the Lord's going to heal her, 00:48:53.19\00:48:56.67 and that she's going to be restored to health. 00:48:56.70\00:49:00.24 You know, the Lord uses a lot of different things. 00:49:00.27\00:49:02.54 Yes He does. And I think that if she follows the regimen the 00:49:02.57\00:49:07.34 physicians have outlined, and then with the healing power 00:49:07.38\00:49:10.55 of the Lord, I believe that she's going to be 00:49:10.58\00:49:13.58 right back in there. 00:49:13.62\00:49:14.98 She's one special girl alright. Oh, yeah, she is. 00:49:15.02\00:49:16.99 Also last night's program was a result of, so many people heard 00:49:17.02\00:49:20.39 us talking about our Kids Network, and they have sent 00:49:20.42\00:49:23.83 some donations in. So I said, Praise the Lord! 00:49:23.86\00:49:26.86 And don't stop! No, no! 00:49:26.90\00:49:28.96 Because we still need a lot to finish this network. 00:49:29.00\00:49:32.10 We need to finish our Kids Time Network. 00:49:32.13\00:49:34.14 I mean our Kids Network. 00:49:34.17\00:49:35.50 I'm so used to Kids Time, but its 3ABN Kids Network. 00:49:35.54\00:49:38.41 We need to get this going now. 00:49:38.44\00:49:40.01 We don't need to wait five years from now. 00:49:40.04\00:49:41.74 Jesus is coming soon. 00:49:41.78\00:49:43.21 We need to do something for our children right now. 00:49:43.24\00:49:45.61 And really that's... 00:49:45.65\00:49:46.98 Well, we actually... 00:49:47.02\00:49:48.35 We could be moved in a year if we could get 00:49:48.38\00:49:50.89 building right away. 00:49:50.92\00:49:52.25 And we do actually have the Kids Network going. Yes. 00:49:52.29\00:49:55.42 Please don't think it's not. 00:49:55.46\00:49:56.96 It is going. It's doing... but we want a new studio. 00:49:56.99\00:49:59.16 The Kids Network. We need our new studios. 00:49:59.23\00:50:01.70 Yeah, that's right. That's right. 00:50:01.73\00:50:03.30 And we're not going to quit taping. 00:50:03.33\00:50:04.90 We're taping here even. 00:50:04.93\00:50:06.27 And we'll keep taping, but it will go so much better, 00:50:06.30\00:50:09.67 so much faster, and so much more efficient when we have 00:50:09.70\00:50:13.14 the studio down in the Collegedale area. 00:50:13.17\00:50:16.34 Especially because we need so many programs. 00:50:16.38\00:50:19.11 We need over a thousand programs every month just to provide 00:50:19.15\00:50:24.15 really quality twenty-four seven programming. 00:50:24.19\00:50:26.02 That's what I was just going to say, because most people don't 00:50:26.05\00:50:27.46 realize what it takes to do a twenty-four seven network. 00:50:27.49\00:50:31.13 Exactly. That's a lot of programming. 00:50:31.16\00:50:32.59 and that will be the beautiful thing of having that studio, 00:50:32.63\00:50:35.03 because all the programming out of there will be for kids. 00:50:35.06\00:50:37.60 That's right. And that will be the beautiful thing 00:50:37.63\00:50:39.43 of having that studio. 00:50:39.47\00:50:40.80 And I love getting your ideas for programs. 00:50:40.84\00:50:43.37 I've gotten some really wonderful ideas to produce 00:50:43.41\00:50:48.34 programs that people would like to see. 00:50:48.38\00:50:49.78 I like to hear from the parents as well, and the school teachers 00:50:49.81\00:50:53.21 that say, Wow! I wish we could have a program on this, 00:50:53.25\00:50:55.48 and this, and this. 00:50:55.52\00:50:56.85 And this is the time to give me those ideas, because we're in 00:50:56.89\00:50:59.05 program development right now. 00:50:59.09\00:51:00.82 So I'm really excited about that. 00:51:00.86\00:51:02.92 We've got a program I'm working on of having children have 00:51:02.96\00:51:06.96 little sermonettes. 00:51:07.00\00:51:08.33 And I think that's going to be awesome. 00:51:08.36\00:51:09.70 Oh, I do too. I think there are a lot of kids that will respond 00:51:09.73\00:51:13.70 to that, and I think you're going to be amazed at 00:51:13.74\00:51:16.04 some of their messages. Yes. I really do. 00:51:16.07\00:51:18.34 Cause kids love to... 00:51:18.37\00:51:19.71 I had guys come by the booth today that told me, 00:51:20.41\00:51:22.58 they said, We're preachers. Yeah! 00:51:22.61\00:51:24.58 And I said, Have you preached anywhere? Well, Yes, Ma'am! 00:51:24.61\00:51:27.15 And they said they've preached in their church, 00:51:27.18\00:51:29.28 and they said, Well, I preach at school. 00:51:29.32\00:51:31.92 That's right. That's right. Wow! 00:51:31.95\00:51:34.22 Well, they're there. 00:51:34.26\00:51:35.59 And people love to hear, and are blessed by those messages. 00:51:35.62\00:51:39.76 They really are. They are. 00:51:39.79\00:51:41.13 We also want to have some programs for parents. Yeah. 00:51:41.16\00:51:43.70 Because our parents need parenting tips. 00:51:43.77\00:51:47.20 Let's face it, it's getting harder and harder to raise 00:51:47.24\00:51:50.54 kids in today's world, because the Devil's really, really 00:51:50.57\00:51:55.31 fighting hard to steal the hearts and 00:51:55.34\00:51:56.88 minds of our children. 00:51:56.91\00:51:58.25 So it's getting more and more difficult for parents to know 00:51:58.28\00:52:01.82 how to even raise their children. 00:52:01.88\00:52:03.45 And I've had parents say to me, Should I remove the electronics 00:52:03.49\00:52:07.12 from the home? or is it better to train them how to 00:52:07.16\00:52:10.49 make the best choices? 00:52:10.53\00:52:11.86 Yeah, and that's the best way to go. 00:52:11.89\00:52:13.50 Electronics are not the problem, it's the choices we make. 00:52:13.53\00:52:16.36 You know, Camille and I, the Lord let us raise four. 00:52:16.40\00:52:20.04 And one of the things we found, we had a what we called an 00:52:20.07\00:52:24.41 in-line key switch. 00:52:24.44\00:52:25.77 It was a switch that I could switch off, and therefore the 00:52:25.81\00:52:30.85 power was cut to the television. 00:52:30.88\00:52:33.31 That's great! And then we got one of the early recorders. 00:52:33.35\00:52:38.45 So the kids would come home and they'd say, Listen, this is 00:52:38.49\00:52:40.56 going to be on, and every kid in school's going to see it, 00:52:40.59\00:52:43.86 and we haven't seen it. 00:52:43.89\00:52:45.49 And I said, Okay, we'll record it. 00:52:45.53\00:52:47.60 And then Saturday night if this is a worthwhile program, 00:52:47.63\00:52:50.90 we will get some popcorn, and we'll sit down and we'll 00:52:50.93\00:52:54.17 watch it Saturday night. 00:52:54.20\00:52:55.54 But we'll record it tonight. 00:52:55.57\00:52:56.91 Because you're going to study tonight. 00:52:56.94\00:52:58.47 You're doing your studies. 00:52:58.51\00:52:59.84 And you know, the amazing thing? 00:52:59.87\00:53:01.74 I don't know how many times that by the time Saturday night 00:53:01.78\00:53:05.18 came around they'd say, Awe, we don't want to see that. 00:53:05.21\00:53:06.82 We heard all about it, and it wasn't any good anyway. 00:53:06.85\00:53:09.08 But this avoided a battle, I'd say, because they knew 00:53:09.12\00:53:16.29 that it would be taped. 00:53:16.32\00:53:17.96 They weren't going to miss something. 00:53:17.99\00:53:19.36 I think that was an awesome idea. Yeah. 00:53:19.39\00:53:20.73 And so it was worth getting one of the early 00:53:20.76\00:53:24.97 video tape recorders. 00:53:25.03\00:53:26.43 In fact the old reel to reel to start with my kids. 00:53:26.47\00:53:29.64 Then we went to VHS, and then on to Bata and the whole bit. 00:53:29.67\00:53:34.48 But folks, work with your kids. That's right. 00:53:34.51\00:53:38.15 I'm not going to tell you how to raise kids, but my kids knew the 00:53:38.18\00:53:42.25 answer was yes, whatever they wanted to do, 00:53:42.28\00:53:45.55 unless there was a good reason. 00:53:45.59\00:53:47.46 And if I had a good reason, and I said no, 00:53:47.49\00:53:51.39 they did honestly question the reason. 00:53:51.43\00:53:53.29 I wouldn't... I'd say, I'm not going to give you an answer. 00:53:53.33\00:53:55.23 I'm just telling you no right now. 00:53:55.26\00:53:56.90 Sometimes I'd tell them the reason. 00:53:56.93\00:53:58.50 But I don't feel obligated as a parent to always 00:53:58.53\00:54:02.07 give them a reason. 00:54:02.10\00:54:03.44 But if they trust you, and they know, that you know, 00:54:03.47\00:54:06.88 when Dad says no, it must be a pretty good reason, 00:54:06.91\00:54:09.74 because he usually always says yes. 00:54:09.78\00:54:11.71 Then I think that we avoid a battle with our kids. 00:54:11.75\00:54:17.59 If you can avoid, if you can discipline and love them, 00:54:17.62\00:54:20.76 and lead them without battling them, you're going to. 00:54:20.79\00:54:25.33 And sometimes you just have to put your arm around them... 00:54:25.36\00:54:28.80 And say no! Right, and if they give you a rough time you have 00:54:28.83\00:54:32.23 to wrestle them a little bit, you know, but in love. 00:54:32.27\00:54:34.87 In our home, if it wasn't going to bring us closer to Jesus, 00:54:34.90\00:54:37.31 it wasn't going to happen. 00:54:37.34\00:54:38.87 So that was the criteria. 00:54:38.91\00:54:40.38 Is this going to bring you closer to Jesus? 00:54:40.41\00:54:42.08 If we wanted to do anything, was this going to bring 00:54:42.11\00:54:44.21 you closer to Jesus? 00:54:44.25\00:54:45.58 And if we couldn't... 00:54:45.61\00:54:46.95 But I tell you, I got pretty creative about how things 00:54:46.98\00:54:48.32 were going to be getting me closer to Jesus. 00:54:48.35\00:54:50.22 Yeah, me too! That yogurt's going make me closer, right? 00:54:50.25\00:54:54.69 Right, yeah. But listen, Pastor, I was wondering if I could ask 00:54:54.72\00:54:57.69 our viewers; we're getting ready to tape our Bible Stories 00:54:57.73\00:55:00.76 in October, and I have some real needs. 00:55:00.80\00:55:02.63 And I would like to take a moment just to ask if there's 00:55:02.66\00:55:06.23 anybody out there that has any acting ability at all, 00:55:06.30\00:55:09.17 that is interested in acting in our Bible Stories; 00:55:09.20\00:55:12.04 we're taping them in October, three weeks in October. 00:55:12.07\00:55:14.84 Go to my website: brendawalsh. com 00:55:14.91\00:55:17.31 You can click on my schedule. 00:55:17.35\00:55:18.78 You'll see all the exact dates that we're taping. 00:55:18.81\00:55:20.88 And if you can, my contact information is there as well, 00:55:20.92\00:55:24.35 contact me and let me know that you're willing to help me. 00:55:24.39\00:55:27.76 We are in desperate need of some key parts, 00:55:27.79\00:55:30.36 and some supporting roles. 00:55:30.39\00:55:31.73 So I really need some help with Story Time. 00:55:31.76\00:55:35.66 So I'd appreciate it. 00:55:35.70\00:55:37.03 It's a blessing, isn't it, Miss Brenda, to work with young 00:55:37.07\00:55:39.33 people? Amen! For young people to know Jesus. 00:55:39.40\00:55:41.97 That's the key. Amen! 00:55:42.00\00:55:43.34 And you know, and this is a special time in the 00:55:43.37\00:55:44.71 evening here at Oshkosh. 00:55:44.74\00:55:46.07 At this time of night there are thousands of people, 00:55:46.11\00:55:48.64 and I want to ask the crew quickly, we have just 00:55:48.68\00:55:51.31 basically a minute left. 00:55:51.38\00:55:52.71 Just a few seconds of what's happening. 00:55:52.75\00:55:54.08 And this is some shots of last night going into the crowd. 00:55:54.12\00:55:56.75 It absolutely amazes me, because we had about 50,000 young people 00:55:56.79\00:56:01.59 that were showing up for the main evening meeting 00:56:01.62\00:56:04.53 session at Oshkosh. 00:56:04.56\00:56:05.89 And so some of the footage, we may not be quite able to 00:56:05.93\00:56:08.26 share it with you right now, but we will tomorrow night. 00:56:08.30\00:56:10.67 There's some right now. 00:56:10.70\00:56:12.03 This was of last night. 00:56:12.07\00:56:13.40 All of the young people streaming in, and this is a 00:56:13.44\00:56:14.90 very special time in the evening, because this is when 00:56:14.94\00:56:17.04 they all get together, and they're learning again about 00:56:17.07\00:56:19.11 the story of Daniel. 00:56:19.14\00:56:20.48 Look at all those young people out there. 00:56:20.51\00:56:21.84 And we're praying for... 00:56:21.88\00:56:23.21 Look at that! Amazing shots of those young people coming 00:56:23.24\00:56:25.61 in for the evening meeting. 00:56:25.65\00:56:26.98 And that's what's happening about right now there at the 00:56:27.02\00:56:30.49 main stage there at Oshkosh. 00:56:30.52\00:56:32.19 Is that Daniel or the lion? 00:56:32.22\00:56:33.56 I don't know. But, anyway I want to say, Thank you so much 00:56:33.59\00:56:36.73 Miss Brenda, so much for your work with the young people. 00:56:36.76\00:56:39.63 Many of these have seen Kids Time, and I know have been 00:56:39.66\00:56:43.43 blessed because of your love of Jesus, and wanted to share 00:56:43.47\00:56:46.90 that with others. Praise the Lord! Amen! 00:56:46.94\00:56:49.14 And tonight as we go on and leave you, we leave you with 00:56:49.17\00:56:53.98 these scenes, and we just, keep praying for 3ABN. 00:56:54.01\00:56:58.78 Keep praying for our ministry. 00:56:58.81\00:57:01.58 It is your prayers and your financial support 00:57:01.62\00:57:04.45 that keeps us on the air. 00:57:04.52\00:57:07.06 Boy, that's for sure. 00:57:07.09\00:57:08.42 And we want to keep witnessing for our Lord. 00:57:08.46\00:57:10.26 And we want you to hold on to Jesus. 00:57:10.29\00:57:12.93 These are terrible times in so many ways; 00:57:12.96\00:57:15.53 wonderful times as well. 00:57:15.56\00:57:17.83 But the Devil would like to discourage every single one 00:57:17.87\00:57:21.54 of you to give up, so determine that you're going to keep on 00:57:21.57\00:57:25.14 keeping on with Jesus. 00:57:25.17\00:57:26.84 He's our Lord, He's our God, He's our Savior, 00:57:26.88\00:57:29.78 and He loves you. 00:57:29.81\00:57:31.15
