The Ancient story of Daniel in the Lion's Den, 00:00:01.96\00:00:03.93 Kenya's Tsavo National park and 00:00:03.93\00:00:06.13 the Man-Eaters lions and a long haul truck driver. 00:00:06.13\00:00:09.40 What do they have all in common, 00:00:09.40\00:00:10.70 don't miss this episode. 00:00:10.70\00:00:12.20 The Majestic Lion, king of the beasts, 00:01:00.86\00:01:03.26 strong and fearsome, these are some of the 00:01:03.26\00:01:06.36 words that come to mind when you think of the 00:01:06.36\00:01:08.20 mighty lion wildlife in Africa. 00:01:08.20\00:01:10.30 One African story of lions is that of the 00:01:10.30\00:01:12.86 Tsavo Man-Eaters, in the late 19th Century 00:01:12.86\00:01:16.83 British Engineer Lieutenant Colonel 00:01:16.83\00:01:19.40 John Henry Patterson, was in-charge of constructing 00:01:19.40\00:01:22.00 a Railway Bridge over the Tsavo river, 00:01:22.00\00:01:24.70 during construction lions began attacking 00:01:24.70\00:01:27.73 the workers, even dragging the men out 00:01:27.73\00:01:30.16 of their tents at night. The exact number of 00:01:30.16\00:01:33.06 people killed by the lions is unclear, 00:01:33.06\00:01:35.66 over the course of his life Patterson gave several 00:01:35.66\00:01:38.56 different figures, once claiming that there was 00:01:38.56\00:01:41.13 as many as 135 victims, recent research indicates 00:01:41.13\00:01:45.76 that the number was probably closer to 35 workers, 00:01:45.76\00:01:48.73 but the bottom line is that's a lot of people. 00:01:48.73\00:01:52.13 So you gather medicinal herbs and barks and plants 00:01:54.26\00:01:57.60 to treat people? Yeah, I do. 00:01:57.60\00:01:59.36 Where, is there any around here you see Reuben, 00:02:00.43\00:02:02.83 that we could use? Yeah, we can use this one here. 00:02:02.83\00:02:05.90 And what is this one? This one is a Sodom Apple, 00:02:05.90\00:02:09.40 I'm sorry, it's what? It is a Sodom Apple, 00:02:09.40\00:02:13.90 yeah great, ah! We remember history of Sodom 00:02:13.90\00:02:18.16 when Sodom was burned, the first plant species 00:02:18.16\00:02:22.20 to grow there was Sodom Apple, really? Yeah, 00:02:22.20\00:02:25.30 and what do you do with this? Ah! 00:02:25.30\00:02:27.76 A Sodom Apple, it is a plant you can use the leaves, 00:02:27.76\00:02:32.83 with the leaves you can use to heal some wounds. 00:02:32.83\00:02:38.10 We dry these leaves under shed and then 00:02:38.10\00:02:42.13 we crush them, after crushing them into 00:02:42.13\00:02:44.73 small pieces, we just apply on top of wounds, 00:02:44.73\00:02:47.43 they'll suck all the, fresh wounds, yeah 00:02:47.43\00:02:50.93 fresh wounds, yeah they'll suck all fluids 00:02:50.93\00:02:54.43 and then it will dry up, then a period of one 00:02:54.43\00:02:57.80 week that wound will be healed. 00:02:57.80\00:03:00.40 How long have you been doing this type 00:03:00.40\00:03:02.60 of treatment? I've been doing this for a period 00:03:02.60\00:03:05.73 of six years right now. And out here, 00:03:05.73\00:03:08.73 you know in the plains and in the jungles, 00:03:08.73\00:03:11.26 how many different types of things do you use, 00:03:11.26\00:03:13.86 plants and barks and. Ah! We use different 00:03:13.86\00:03:18.50 kind of plant species, we use leaves, 00:03:18.50\00:03:25.83 we use the bark of the trees and the roots 00:03:25.83\00:03:29.76 and even grass. I want to know more, 00:03:29.76\00:03:33.13 is there anything else you see around here 00:03:33.13\00:03:34.66 that maybe we can find some place, 00:03:34.66\00:03:36.50 I see one plant here. What do you do with that one? 00:03:41.60\00:03:44.16 Ah! This one oh, it's got stickers, 00:03:44.16\00:03:46.86 we use the leaves, we can use the leaves to 00:03:46.86\00:03:52.43 cure Malaria, we crush it and then we boil it 00:03:52.43\00:03:56.93 in water and then you take that, you drink it, 00:03:56.93\00:04:00.73 you' drink it. How many times? 00:04:00.73\00:04:02.46 Three glasses in a day before meals that 00:04:02.46\00:04:06.36 would be appropriate and we'll take it 00:04:06.36\00:04:08.23 for only four days. We can't forget about this 00:04:08.23\00:04:11.66 small one here, when it is dry, it is very hard 00:04:11.66\00:04:15.36 to uproot we use this one to treat people 00:04:15.36\00:04:19.23 who we can say becoming martyr. Okay. 00:04:19.23\00:04:24.63 It's a bit bitter but it's good. You know what's 00:04:24.63\00:04:28.80 interesting to me Reuben is Scientists have 00:04:28.80\00:04:31.76 discovered many years ago that most of our 00:04:31.76\00:04:34.03 Pharmaceutical products come from the jungles 00:04:34.03\00:04:36.50 and come from other places and they continually 00:04:36.50\00:04:39.10 look to folks like you and those that have done 00:04:39.10\00:04:41.13 medicine for you know a little more, 00:04:41.13\00:04:44.20 not saying primitive, but a little more rural 00:04:44.20\00:04:46.63 areas over the years and it's worked and 00:04:46.63\00:04:48.53 they're finding the fantastic medicine, 00:04:48.53\00:04:50.50 But you haven't always done medicine have you, 00:04:50.50\00:04:54.70 there's been other things in 00:04:54.70\00:04:56.70 your life hasn't there yeah. 00:04:56.70\00:04:58.53 Through the radio waves of AWR God is 00:04:58.53\00:05:01.63 reaching people around the world, 00:05:01.63\00:05:03.43 we'd like to offer you an edition of Making Waves. 00:05:05.06\00:05:07.60 It's four of our episodes brought to you from 00:05:07.60\00:05:09.70 around the world. Igor and Svetlana, 00:06:04.40\00:06:07.90 unlike some other Russians have seen 00:06:07.90\00:06:10.16 nothing but hard times since the fall of Communism. 00:06:10.16\00:06:13.60 The Agriculture Industry so vital to their rural 00:06:13.60\00:06:16.80 town has plummeted leaving the area in poverty, 00:06:16.80\00:06:20.60 watching their dejected neighbors fall to alcohol 00:06:20.60\00:06:24.00 abuse they were concerned about the influence 00:06:24.00\00:06:26.63 such a hopeless society would have on their 00:06:26.63\00:06:28.93 five children. So they searched for a positive 00:06:28.93\00:06:32.20 influence for their family they found it in 00:06:32.20\00:06:35.16 Adventist World Radio, you are the Brightest 00:06:35.16\00:06:38.33 Light in our hard life, they wrote to us, 00:06:38.33\00:06:40.90 we're always looking forward to your next program 00:06:40.90\00:06:43.70 Thank you for your message of kindness and hope. 00:06:43.70\00:06:47.30 Adventist World Radio shares the hope of Christ 00:06:49.56\00:06:53.26 with millions of people everyday in their own 00:06:53.26\00:06:56.36 languages, for more information visit AWR.ORG. 00:06:56.36\00:07:01.40 In the 19th Century it was estimated that more 00:07:06.40\00:07:08.90 than 200 Tanzanians were killed each year 00:07:08.90\00:07:12.16 by lions, crocodiles, elephants, hippos and 00:07:12.16\00:07:15.10 snakes, and that the actual number could be 00:07:15.10\00:07:17.33 double that amount, with lions thought to 00:07:17.33\00:07:20.03 have account for at least 70 of those deaths, 00:07:20.03\00:07:22.63 the lion is one of the big four cats in the feline 00:07:24.36\00:07:27.13 family with some males exceeding 550 pounds 00:07:27.13\00:07:30.80 in weight, lions are unusually social compared 00:07:30.80\00:07:34.40 to other cats. A pride of lions consists of 00:07:34.40\00:07:37.13 related females and offspring and a small 00:07:37.13\00:07:39.56 number of adult males, visually the male lion 00:07:39.56\00:07:44.16 is highly distinctive and it's easily recognized 00:07:44.16\00:07:47.10 by its mane, the ruler thumb is the darker 00:07:47.10\00:07:49.76 and fuller the mane, the healthier the lion. 00:07:49.76\00:07:52.33 They spend much of their time resting and 00:07:52.33\00:07:55.03 are inactive for about 20 hours per day, 00:07:55.03\00:07:57.83 intermittent burst of activity follow through 00:07:57.83\00:08:00.36 the night hours until dawn, 00:08:00.36\00:08:02.40 when hunting most often takes place. 00:08:02.40\00:08:04.46 Groups of female lions typically hunt together, 00:08:09.50\00:08:12.36 preying mostly on large grazing animals such 00:08:12.36\00:08:15.06 as wildebeest, lions are opportunistic hunters 00:08:15.06\00:08:18.50 and after a careful stock will take the 00:08:18.50\00:08:21.26 closet animal regardless of it's age, 00:08:21.26\00:08:23.56 sex or condition. If suitable prey is available 00:08:23.56\00:08:27.56 lions eat every three to four days but can 00:08:27.56\00:08:30.83 go without food for more than a week. 00:08:30.83\00:08:33.00 An adult lion will kill about 15 animals per year, 00:08:33.00\00:08:36.86 most hunting takes places under the poor 00:08:36.86\00:08:39.00 light conditions of early evening or dawn 00:08:39.00\00:08:41.80 and during the night, they have little stamina 00:08:41.80\00:08:44.83 and will usually get up close to the prey 00:08:44.83\00:08:47.10 before charging. Lions do not always hunt 00:08:47.10\00:08:50.20 in a group and single lions account for about 00:08:50.20\00:08:53.00 50 percent of all kills, Lions are extremely 00:08:53.00\00:08:56.63 powerful, by using only a grip on its rump, 00:08:56.63\00:08:59.70 they can grab and throw down a fully 00:08:59.70\00:09:01.83 grown Zebra. The Bible says that the devil is 00:09:01.83\00:09:05.40 like a roaring lion stocking everyone he can, 00:09:05.40\00:09:08.30 looking for those who are not covered by 00:09:08.30\00:09:11.13 God's protection. Reuben realized that 00:09:11.13\00:09:13.93 he was no match for the devil and cried out 00:09:13.93\00:09:16.33 to God just in the nick of time, others have cried 00:09:16.33\00:09:20.00 out to God when facing lions, God sent his 00:09:20.00\00:09:22.90 angel to shut the mouth of the lions for his 00:09:22.90\00:09:25.30 friend Daniel and he gave strength to David to 00:09:25.30\00:09:27.96 slain a lion that was threatening his flock, 00:09:27.96\00:09:30.26 only God is powerful enough to protect us. 00:09:30.26\00:09:33.90 Reuben found that out first hand. 00:09:33.90\00:09:36.80 You were raised as a Christian weren't you? 00:09:36.80\00:09:40.20 Yeah, I was raised as a Christian but when 00:09:40.20\00:09:42.60 I became a truck driver, I decided 00:09:42.60\00:09:46.10 to leave the Christianity way and, 00:09:46.10\00:09:50.53 so you just totally went away from God, 00:09:50.53\00:09:53.93 yeah I just went away from God because you know, 00:09:53.93\00:09:56.60 if you walk with bad people always you'll 00:09:56.60\00:10:00.06 just be drawn to what they're doing also there 00:10:00.06\00:10:05.40 was traumatic experience that came into your 00:10:05.40\00:10:07.30 life though, would you share that with me. 00:10:07.30\00:10:09.36 Yeah! One day as we were coming from Mumias, 00:10:09.36\00:10:16.06 we were cutting sugar and we are going to 00:10:16.06\00:10:21.83 Mombasa, we had a break down at 00:10:21.83\00:10:27.06 Tsavo National Park and when we have that 00:10:27.06\00:10:31.03 break down, now if I, Tsavo, that's where 00:10:31.03\00:10:34.03 the Man-eating lions, that's where the animals 00:10:34.03\00:10:37.46 it's a game pack. When we had the mechanical 00:10:37.46\00:10:41.86 problem, we have our radios where we can 00:10:41.86\00:10:44.76 communicate with our bosses in Mombasa, 00:10:44.76\00:10:48.30 we tried out best we communicated with them 00:10:48.30\00:10:51.76 so that. If I can interrupt you said we, 00:10:51.76\00:10:54.46 so you had a partner, yeah I had a partner, 00:10:54.46\00:10:57.33 when you're tired another person was 00:10:57.33\00:10:59.16 can drive so when we have that problem 00:10:59.16\00:11:03.63 we communicate with our bosses in Mombasa 00:11:03.63\00:11:07.46 and he promised to bring us, to give us some 00:11:07.46\00:11:11.80 security policemen to at least help us, 00:11:11.80\00:11:14.93 because we had sugar, and sugar is very 00:11:14.93\00:11:17.66 expensive so we just needed security to assist us 00:11:17.66\00:11:20.76 and maybe they could send mechanics to come 00:11:20.76\00:11:24.90 and repair the vehicle. What was the security for? 00:11:24.90\00:11:27.96 For wild animals or bandits or both? No, 00:11:27.96\00:11:30.93 the security was suppose to be for the bandits 00:11:30.93\00:11:34.13 and also the wild animals. So you got multiple 00:11:34.13\00:11:37.53 things to be afraid of, bandits and wild animals, 00:11:37.53\00:11:40.16 lions or, lions and bad bandits, because we had 00:11:40.16\00:11:43.90 sugar and that sugar is expensive, 00:11:43.90\00:11:45.66 if it is stolen I will have ended in jail, 00:11:45.66\00:11:49.13 you would have ended up in jail, yeah. 00:11:49.13\00:11:51.83 How will my employer agree that it was stolen? 00:11:51.83\00:11:57.03 I got you, they may not believe that, 00:11:57.03\00:11:59.36 you could have thought it was a set up, yeah, 00:11:59.36\00:12:02.06 so you're out there broken down, yeah after 00:12:02.06\00:12:05.53 the truck was broken down and we could not 00:12:05.53\00:12:08.83 move any further we communicated with our 00:12:08.83\00:12:11.36 bosses in Mombasa, but they said that the security 00:12:11.36\00:12:16.50 are on the way coming, but we didn't see it. 00:12:16.50\00:12:21.16 Now, you mentioned to me today about the 00:12:23.76\00:12:25.50 cheetahs and their eating habits, ah! Cheetahs, 00:12:25.50\00:12:29.20 are very, very selective to food, they have to 00:12:29.20\00:12:34.33 look for only healthier animals. 00:12:34.33\00:12:37.10 So that's it, healthy only, if they see 00:12:37.10\00:12:39.56 something sick, they won't touch it or. 00:12:39.56\00:12:42.53 They never get close to the sicker animals, 00:12:42.53\00:12:45.53 this is because of genetic study shows 00:12:45.53\00:12:49.66 that all the cheetahs are very closely blood 00:12:49.66\00:12:54.53 related, so probably according to genetics, 00:12:54.53\00:13:00.90 they are very weaker to diseases, 00:13:00.90\00:13:03.03 all of them came off Noah's ark. 00:13:03.03\00:13:05.83 The cheetah is atypical member of 00:13:09.00\00:13:10.96 the Cat family that is unique in its speed, 00:13:10.96\00:13:13.90 it is the fastest land animal, reaching speeds 00:13:13.90\00:13:16.53 between 70 and 75 miles per hour in short 00:13:16.53\00:13:20.53 bursts covering distances up to 1500 feet 00:13:20.53\00:13:23.56 and has the ability to accelerate from zero to 00:13:23.56\00:13:26.56 68 miles an hour in three seconds, faster than 00:13:26.56\00:13:31.53 most super cars. The cheetah is a carnivore, 00:13:31.53\00:13:36.60 eating mostly mammals under 90 pounds, 00:13:36.60\00:13:38.96 including the Thomson gazelle, the impala, 00:13:38.96\00:13:41.70 and the young of larger mammals such as 00:13:41.70\00:13:43.73 wildebeests and zebras are also taken at times, 00:13:43.73\00:13:46.46 it hunts either early in the morning 00:13:46.46\00:13:49.50 or later in the evening when it is not so hot, 00:13:49.50\00:13:52.70 but there is still enough light, prey a stock to 00:13:52.70\00:13:58.60 within 30 to 100 feet and then chased, 00:13:58.60\00:14:01.60 this is usually over in less than a minute 00:14:01.60\00:14:04.06 and if a cheetah fails to make a catch quickly, 00:14:04.06\00:14:06.63 it will give up. When sprinting, 00:14:06.63\00:14:09.23 the cheetah's temperature becomes so high 00:14:09.23\00:14:12.00 it would be deadly to continue, this is why 00:14:12.00\00:14:14.80 they're often seen resting after it is caught 00:14:14.80\00:14:16.90 it's prey. Our guide received a call from 00:14:16.90\00:14:21.50 a fellow guide saying he found a cheetah, 00:14:21.50\00:14:23.60 so we're heading to see if we can find it. 00:14:23.60\00:14:25.66 There, about a 100 yards out, looks like 00:14:32.90\00:14:35.16 a female she's stalking a wildebeests, 00:14:35.16\00:14:37.30 considering the height of the grass 00:14:37.30\00:14:38.93 she's about 28 inches tall at the shoulder, 00:14:38.93\00:14:41.50 I'm surprised the herd is not spooked at all, 00:14:41.50\00:14:44.56 there she goes, wow look at the speed, 00:14:44.56\00:14:46.46 look at the speed. She's got him, 00:14:46.46\00:14:50.46 she's got him, look at that, she's about 00:14:50.46\00:14:53.50 120 pounds, that calf is throwing around 00:14:53.50\00:14:55.96 like she weighs nothing, wow this is quick 00:14:55.96\00:15:01.73 What's this? Look Whoa! Did you see that, 00:15:01.73\00:15:11.26 that Cat doesn't know what hit her, 00:15:11.26\00:15:13.73 it's sure good to know there won't 00:15:16.10\00:15:17.63 be any need for hunting like that in Heaven. 00:15:17.63\00:15:20.26 So for my understanding it was a dry shaft 00:15:21.70\00:15:23.80 and a new joint that went out of the truck yeah, 00:15:23.80\00:15:25.73 you're not going anywhere, I could not go. 00:15:25.73\00:15:29.13 How far away, how far away is the company? 00:15:29.13\00:15:31.00 From Mombasa? Well whoever's got to come 00:15:31.00\00:15:36.03 rescue you now. We just needed the security 00:15:36.03\00:15:39.23 because it was far from Mombasa, 00:15:39.23\00:15:41.36 it's almost 20 kilometers I think from Mombasa, 00:15:41.36\00:15:45.00 but when it reach, around 7 we had a radio after 00:15:45.00\00:15:55.80 the news, there used to be a program, 00:15:55.80\00:15:59.20 there is a preacher who always preach 00:15:59.20\00:16:03.86 in the radios and that caught your attention, 00:16:03.86\00:16:07.20 yeah it caught my attention for some time, 00:16:07.20\00:16:10.76 although I was also smoking, so I didn't 00:16:10.76\00:16:13.50 put my attention to what he was speaking. 00:16:13.50\00:16:17.46 So after he had preached and he made his call, 00:16:17.46\00:16:22.90 I didn't give up my life to Jesus, I just stayed 00:16:22.90\00:16:28.40 where I was, I didn't want to turn back to God 00:16:28.40\00:16:33.40 and repent, but later at around 7:20, 00:16:33.40\00:16:39.53 it was now almost dark, we saw some antelopes 00:16:39.53\00:16:46.63 passing by as if they're grazing in a flock of 00:16:46.63\00:16:50.40 antelopes but the speed at which they were 00:16:50.40\00:16:54.56 moving at, it was a bit on a high speed as 00:16:54.56\00:16:58.63 if there is an enemy, faster than grazing yeah, 00:16:58.63\00:17:01.66 it was faster than grazing, is an enemy behind them. 00:17:01.66\00:17:04.70 They burst out close the roads, 00:17:04.70\00:17:10.26 after I saw a lion, I never seen a lion before. 00:17:10.26\00:17:15.73 In all your life, I never saw, that was my first 00:17:15.73\00:17:20.00 time to sit closer to me, it saw the truck 00:17:20.00\00:17:24.70 it came and stood in front of the truck, 00:17:24.70\00:17:29.80 came around the truck and I could remember 00:17:29.80\00:17:36.16 one of windows could not reach where 00:17:36.16\00:17:41.40 it's supposed to reach, it was stuck, 00:17:41.40\00:17:43.50 you couldn't roll it up all the way, 00:17:43.50\00:17:45.10 the animal came and stood, looked up in 00:17:45.10\00:17:49.56 the window, yeah looked up at the window, 00:17:49.56\00:17:51.10 it went down I was, now this was a male 00:17:51.10\00:17:55.16 or a female, it was a male, big male, 00:17:55.16\00:17:57.53 it's a big male with hair, so it fill the 00:17:57.53\00:18:01.20 whole window, that's when I started remembering 00:18:01.20\00:18:05.00 about a call, the preacher who made, 00:18:05.00\00:18:09.90 the preacher made for us to surrender our lives. 00:18:09.90\00:18:13.83 So you were very scared at that moment, 00:18:13.83\00:18:15.86 I was scared, my body was full of sweat, 00:18:15.86\00:18:20.80 I was very frightened, now what's your 00:18:20.80\00:18:25.16 partner doing? I tried to advice him, 00:18:25.16\00:18:28.20 because we used to be given some lectures 00:18:28.20\00:18:32.03 and they used to, they gave us some rare 00:18:32.03\00:18:37.10 reflective coats, well that's what this is for. 00:18:37.10\00:18:40.96 And I told my colleague to put this on 00:18:40.96\00:18:45.53 because some lion, these wild animals 00:18:45.53\00:18:51.53 at night they don't like this red colors, 00:18:51.53\00:18:54.63 so I told my friend to put it on but he said 00:18:54.63\00:18:58.66 what will a coat do if you're going die then 00:18:58.66\00:19:05.26 all of us we're going to die. So he denied, 00:19:05.26\00:19:09.66 but you put yours on, yes I took mine 00:19:09.66\00:19:11.96 and just put it on like that 00:19:11.96\00:19:14.73 and that's the way it was. 00:19:14.73\00:19:20.76 As you can see AWR is frontline mission radio. 00:19:22.53\00:19:25.86 Our first priority is to travel where missionaries 00:19:25.86\00:19:29.30 cannot go. Their mission was 00:20:32.90\00:20:35.53 to invite town's people from around the region 00:20:35.53\00:20:37.90 to one of fifty different locations where they 00:20:37.90\00:20:40.83 could listen to Adventist World Radio. 00:20:40.83\00:20:43.00 Many people in the Karnataka, 00:20:43.00\00:20:44.83 Goa region do not own radios and those that 00:20:44.83\00:20:48.40 do often have never heard of 00:20:48.40\00:20:50.33 Adventist World Radio. The goal of the project 00:20:50.33\00:20:53.33 was to established listener clubs that would meet 00:20:53.33\00:20:55.60 regularly to listen to the programs, 00:20:55.60\00:20:57.76 hopefully leading the people to Christ. 00:20:57.76\00:21:00.43 To date over 2500 people have been 00:21:00.43\00:21:04.40 baptized through the listeners clubs. 00:21:04.40\00:21:06.56 Adventist World Radio, shares the hope of Christ 00:21:09.56\00:21:13.26 with millions of people everyday in their own 00:21:13.26\00:21:16.30 languages, for more information visit AWR.ORG. 00:21:16.30\00:21:21.13 Let me show you how it was. See the lion 00:21:26.60\00:21:31.80 came from this side and then first came 00:21:31.80\00:21:35.80 it left the antelopes, where it saw that the 00:21:35.80\00:21:41.86 truck it became interested to see what was in the 00:21:41.86\00:21:47.10 truck, and so we were inside the truck, 00:21:47.10\00:21:51.10 I and my colleague. So it came and stood here, 00:21:51.10\00:21:55.90 stand at us look at us, it was not satisfied, 00:21:55.90\00:22:00.93 it was came to this side that's when I remembered 00:22:00.93\00:22:09.00 that we had these red jackets and I told 00:22:09.00\00:22:13.06 my colleague now it's time we should put 00:22:13.06\00:22:15.96 on our red jackets because we really 00:22:15.96\00:22:18.96 need it now, my colleague said no, 00:22:18.96\00:22:22.10 what's you need, the red jacket cannot help me, 00:22:22.10\00:22:27.43 we're gonna to be eaten. So I said okay 00:22:27.43\00:22:31.60 but let me just put on mine, so I took mine 00:22:31.60\00:22:35.10 and worn it after a short while the lion 00:22:35.10\00:22:40.60 came back and stood again, stare at us 00:22:40.60\00:22:45.40 and looked at my colleague. So he didn't 00:22:45.40\00:22:48.33 look at you, he looked at your colleague. 00:22:48.33\00:22:49.60 And he looked at my colleague and then 00:22:49.60\00:22:51.66 just came down, took some steps behind as 00:22:51.66\00:22:56.60 if it was preparing to come over, it came 00:22:56.60\00:23:02.40 and then broke the window and got my 00:23:02.40\00:23:05.96 colleague and pulled him outside. 00:23:05.96\00:23:09.80 So he yanks him out of the truck yeah 00:23:09.80\00:23:11.93 just brings him out, put him down here, 00:23:11.93\00:23:15.30 my friend was screaming but that's the way 00:23:15.30\00:23:19.06 he passed away. After some time it took 00:23:19.06\00:23:25.30 some steps back again that's when 00:23:25.30\00:23:29.33 I remembered how to pray after a long time, 00:23:29.33\00:23:32.26 I had forgot how to pray that when I asked 00:23:32.26\00:23:37.90 God to forgive me 'cause I was a sinner 00:23:37.90\00:23:40.76 and if he could grant me a second chance, 00:23:40.76\00:23:45.30 I could change my life that way. 00:23:45.30\00:23:47.43 And what next, the lion just came back, 00:23:47.43\00:23:50.96 and now looked at me, it just stood there 00:23:50.96\00:23:55.96 for some time and took back some steps 00:23:55.96\00:23:58.93 behind it come running again grabbed the 00:23:58.93\00:24:03.43 dash board and went up on top of the vehicle. 00:24:03.43\00:24:07.06 So if I understand this correctly he actually 00:24:07.06\00:24:09.36 had to use his paws perhaps to set his paw 00:24:09.36\00:24:12.33 inside the dash of your vehicle to jump on up, 00:24:12.33\00:24:15.70 yeah it grabbed the dash board and then 00:24:15.70\00:24:18.80 it went up and that is where it stayed until 00:24:18.80\00:24:24.20 morning, sat there all night then, yeah it's 00:24:24.20\00:24:31.50 even hard for you to think about it now, 00:24:31.50\00:24:33.66 you know some time when I think about 00:24:33.66\00:24:36.33 I always shed tears because it was terrible. 00:24:36.33\00:24:42.20 What was going through your mind that night? 00:24:42.20\00:24:44.56 Sitting in that truck all night along waiting 00:24:44.56\00:24:46.30 for rescue, I couldn't do anything I guess 00:24:46.30\00:24:49.83 I had to stay there and wait to see what ever, 00:24:49.83\00:24:52.56 what was going to happen in the morning the 00:24:52.56\00:24:57.73 game came and they shot on the air these animals 00:24:57.73\00:25:04.00 ran way, that's when that women came out 00:25:04.00\00:25:07.43 of his vehicle, it came straight to where I was 00:25:07.43\00:25:11.60 and asked me whether I was a Christian, 00:25:11.60\00:25:15.40 really? That's what she told me, are you a 00:25:15.40\00:25:19.40 Christian, so that lady knew that the only way 00:25:19.40\00:25:22.40 you could have survived this whole situation is 00:25:22.40\00:25:24.40 if God had protected you that night yeah, 00:25:24.40\00:25:26.90 so the God used a Radio to touch your heart 00:25:26.90\00:25:30.26 and then used a lady you had no idea who she was, 00:25:30.26\00:25:33.70 to lead you on the pathways or nudge 00:25:33.70\00:25:36.33 you on the pathway, that's what happened. 00:25:36.33\00:25:39.26 You must thank him everyday, yeah, 00:25:39.26\00:25:41.60 I do thank him everyday, every moment for 00:25:41.60\00:25:46.36 what he did for me, you know the bottom line 00:25:46.36\00:25:51.13 is you are happier now then you were then 00:25:51.13\00:25:54.93 before you were a Christian.
