They were sacrificing the animals to their heathen 00:00:01.96\00:00:03.00 Gods, they were gathering stones, burying them in 00:00:03.00\00:00:05.60 the yard and praying to the dead, but because of 00:00:05.60\00:00:08.96 the love of a son for his father all of that 00:00:08.96\00:00:11.60 has changed, stay tuned to find out how? 00:00:11.60\00:00:13.66 The rains have come here on the Serengeti Plains 00:00:50.36\00:00:52.50 and the grass is absolute lush. Well okay, what's the post in the center, 00:02:58.66\00:03:04.00 just decoration, oh just decoration yeah, 00:03:04.00\00:03:08.36 excellent, I was wondering about that 00:03:08.36\00:03:10.10 okay, okay. How many cows and how many 00:03:10.10\00:03:13.56 goats do you have? Six cows and 18 goats, 00:03:13.56\00:03:18.26 and how much land do you have here? 00:03:18.26\00:03:20.93 3 acres and half, 3 acres and half, yeah, 00:03:20.93\00:03:24.50 good size, yeah, good size. So it goes out 00:03:24.50\00:03:27.66 behind this one here, yeah, yeah, and out 00:03:27.66\00:03:31.23 of there. How many 00:03:39.20\00:03:41.96 children do you have? 18, and you're one 00:03:41.96\00:03:48.83 of those children, yeah, where are you in the 18, 00:03:48.83\00:03:51.83 are you older? Younger? Middle, in the middle 00:03:51.83\00:03:55.13 yeah. You start studying Christianity didn't you? 00:03:55.13\00:03:57.86 Why did you do that? I come to find out 00:03:57.86\00:04:01.90 Christianity is good, because you learn how to 00:04:01.90\00:04:06.86 live with the people peacefully. So there 00:04:06.86\00:04:09.40 wasn't much peace before in your life? 00:04:09.40\00:04:11.53 When I get sick, I blame God. I thought 00:04:11.53\00:04:16.83 he is the one bringing me sickness, but when I 00:04:16.83\00:04:21.40 come to understand God then I knew that 00:04:21.40\00:04:24.53 there is Satan, who can cause me problems. So, 00:04:24.53\00:04:28.16 before you were a Christian, you did blame 00:04:28.16\00:04:31.60 God for your sickness? Yeah, yeah, what God, 00:04:31.60\00:04:34.36 which God, the God who created me. 00:04:34.36\00:04:38.33 So you knew, you always knew there was a God 00:04:38.33\00:04:41.30 who created you? Yeah, but I didn't knew, 00:04:41.30\00:04:45.20 I didn't know him fully. What drove you to 00:04:45.20\00:04:49.10 start that first study or that first search 00:04:49.10\00:04:51.36 to find out more about this God that you really 00:04:51.36\00:04:54.63 didn't know? I came to know that there is a 00:04:54.63\00:04:59.56 church which is teaching the truth of the Bible. 00:04:59.56\00:05:07.00 How did you discover that? I discovered 00:05:07.00\00:05:10.40 through radio and then through listening. 00:05:10.40\00:05:14.46 to AWR. So you began listening to our radio 00:05:14.46\00:05:17.53 program, yes. How did you know where to 00:05:17.53\00:05:20.96 find that, was it by accident? No, no, not 00:05:20.96\00:05:23.73 by accident that is a certain another member 00:05:23.73\00:05:27.96 of Seventh-Day Adventist is the one introduced 00:05:27.96\00:05:31.70 me, then I came to learn many things through AWR, 00:05:31.70\00:05:35.90 and first time you heard it, did it touch 00:05:35.90\00:05:38.76 your heart or you just begin listening? Yeah, 00:05:38.76\00:05:41.46 there is one verse today I listened it touched 00:05:41.46\00:05:45.50 my heart, do you remember what it program 00:05:45.50\00:05:47.83 was, what it was taking about? Tong, hated his life, always 00:06:58.53\00:07:02.26 on edge. He often found himself angry 00:07:02.26\00:07:04.70 of the actions of others. I lived under 00:07:04.70\00:07:07.10 the controlled of people's words he says. 00:07:07.10\00:07:09.23 The anger and hopelessness led Tong to 00:07:09.23\00:07:12.06 wonder if anyone would miss him if he 00:07:12.06\00:07:14.40 killed himself. The classmates suggested 00:07:14.40\00:07:16.90 Tong tune in to Adventist World Radio, 00:07:16.90\00:07:19.66 listening that night Tong heard for the first 00:07:19.66\00:07:21.80 time of a God, who loved him unconditionally, 00:07:21.80\00:07:25.23 that night I got back my life he says. 00:07:25.23\00:07:28.33 Tong knows there are many others like him 00:07:28.33\00:07:30.70 in China, living in hopelessness, believing 00:07:30.70\00:07:33.56 that no one loves them. I pray they find God 00:07:33.56\00:07:36.90 soon he says. Jesus will help them 00:07:36.90\00:07:39.73 to leave the world of sin. 00:07:39.73\00:07:41.63 Adventist World Radio shares the hope of 00:07:44.26\00:07:47.00 Christ with millions of people everyday. 00:07:47.00\00:07:49.86 For more information visit Awr.org. 00:07:49.86\00:07:54.53 Right here, one of our most impressive natural 00:08:00.43\00:08:02.76 cycles plays itself in out again an again. 00:08:02.76\00:08:05.80 Tens of thousands of hoofed animals driven 00:08:07.40\00:08:09.50 by the need to survive, move constantly in 00:08:09.50\00:08:12.30 search of fresh grasslands. The most 00:08:12.30\00:08:15.16 famous and the most numerous are the 00:08:15.16\00:08:17.23 wildebeest and their annual migration is 00:08:17.23\00:08:19.70 Serengeti's biggest. Wildebeest reach 00:08:19.70\00:08:23.06 almost four feet at the shoulder and weigh 00:08:23.06\00:08:25.13 360 to 630 pounds. During the February 00:08:25.13\00:08:30.16 calving season more than 8000 wildebeest 00:08:30.16\00:08:32.86 calves are born everyday. It's in this 00:08:32.86\00:08:36.33 setting that the animals such as 00:08:36.33\00:08:37.86 cheetahs, lions, hyenas, leopards and crocodiles 00:08:37.86\00:08:41.00 find a virtuous enormous amount 00:08:41.00\00:08:43.76 of food. And wildebeests run 00:08:43.76\00:08:45.13 very high on the list of delicacies. 00:08:45.13\00:08:47.03 But they're not always cooperating when 00:08:58.66\00:09:00.43 chosen as the food of the day. People are 00:09:00.43\00:09:03.16 drawn to the Serengeti National Park and 00:09:03.16\00:09:05.53 in Ngorongoro Conservation Area to 00:09:05.53\00:09:07.60 view the magnificent wildlife. Predators 00:09:07.60\00:09:10.20 and prey in unrivaled numbers. 00:09:10.20\00:09:12.40 While the large animals are wonderful 00:09:12.40\00:09:14.53 to view it's just as amazing to observe 00:09:14.53\00:09:16.66 the smaller ones, which are important 00:09:16.66\00:09:18.43 in making such a balanced ecosystem. 00:09:18.43\00:09:20.36 One tiny resident that has a huge 00:09:20.36\00:09:22.96 impact is the dung beetle. The arrival of 00:09:22.96\00:09:27.23 the wildebeest sends the industrious little 00:09:27.23\00:09:29.36 guys into overdrive. They are seen 00:09:29.36\00:09:31.60 everywhere, rolling fresh dung 00:09:31.60\00:09:33.96 in the balls about 3 or 4 times their size, 00:09:33.96\00:09:36.30 then they push the balls backwards for 00:09:36.30\00:09:39.36 considerable distances, when they've located 00:09:39.36\00:09:41.93 suitable patch or soft soil they rapidly dig 00:09:41.93\00:09:44.43 a hole and bury the dung and themselves. 00:09:44.43\00:09:47.26 The life of every animal depends upon the 00:09:49.30\00:09:51.40 work of these beetles, returning the nutrient 00:09:51.40\00:09:53.90 rich dung back into the soil. God's tiny 00:09:53.90\00:09:57.00 but efficient recycling workers. It is easy to 00:09:57.00\00:10:00.70 imagine how different the plains would look 00:10:00.70\00:10:02.63 without them, the soil quality would suffer 00:10:02.63\00:10:05.43 and disease would spread quickly. 00:10:05.43\00:10:06.86 These humble recyclers maintain the very 00:10:06.86\00:10:10.60 essence of the short grass plains, on which 00:10:10.60\00:10:13.23 the famous migration depends. They roll away 00:10:13.23\00:10:16.46 up to 75 percent of the dung 00:10:16.46\00:10:19.36 drop in all of the Serengeti. 00:10:19.36\00:10:21.43 Tell me about the first time you listened 00:10:32.26\00:10:33.73 to the AWR program, what did you think 00:10:33.73\00:10:36.06 about it? Do you remember 00:10:36.06\00:10:37.33 what that program was, what it was talking about, 00:10:37.33\00:10:39.46 yeah about the dead, talking about the 00:10:39.46\00:10:40.96 dead, yeah. What did your family believe 00:10:40.96\00:10:43.20 about the dead before you were a Christian? 00:10:43.20\00:10:44.86 Yeah, I knew thought when someone died, 00:10:44.86\00:10:50.56 he can come back spiritually and disturb 00:10:50.56\00:10:57.03 the one who are alive. So did the family 00:10:57.03\00:11:01.90 talk with spirits or do the people in the 00:11:01.90\00:11:03.73 village talk with the dead, yeah they used 00:11:03.73\00:11:06.90 to through stones. I think they would 00:11:06.90\00:11:10.06 dugout the stone here, which my father 00:11:10.06\00:11:13.93 planted for worst being. When you say 00:11:13.93\00:11:17.40 planted the stones what does that mean 00:11:17.40\00:11:19.36 exactly? Yeah, he planted, he took that 00:11:19.36\00:11:23.30 stone in a certain area, I think it is here, 00:11:23.30\00:11:26.43 they used it to go out and kneel there 00:11:26.43\00:11:30.43 and pray to God of dark, that are people. 00:11:30.43\00:11:35.43 How big were these stones that you 00:11:35.43\00:11:37.83 planted here? Not so big, did locate 00:11:37.83\00:11:41.43 one too many tablets, yeah, not so big, 00:11:41.43\00:11:51.76 but he said that when I received the word 00:11:51.76\00:11:55.20 of God in my heart, I throw it away. 00:11:55.20\00:11:57.93 Good, yeah, good Amen. Do you just go 00:11:57.93\00:12:02.23 out and find the stone, some or is there a 00:12:02.23\00:12:04.60 special stone. You're not supposed to look 00:12:04.60\00:12:07.90 backward when you're carrying it, you just 00:12:07.90\00:12:10.20 go straight. Go straight forward and 00:12:10.20\00:12:12.66 you don't talk to anybody on the way. 00:12:12.66\00:12:14.93 And then the dead, when you go out 00:12:14.93\00:12:17.60 and talk to the stone, the dead are supposed 00:12:17.60\00:12:19.20 to meet you on that spot. Yeah it is, 00:12:19.20\00:12:20.56 they say that they respond, and your father 00:12:20.56\00:12:23.50 used to do all of that. Yeah, a long time, 00:12:23.50\00:12:25.93 did the spirits of the dead appear to him? 00:12:25.93\00:12:28.83 They never appear, just kind of in 00:12:28.83\00:12:45.16 your mind. Yeah, yeah, okay, okay. 00:12:45.16\00:12:47.43 But now that, you heard that program 00:12:47.43\00:12:49.96 on the dead and all of a sudden you've started 00:12:49.96\00:12:52.30 comparing the Bible and realizing this was 00:12:52.30\00:12:55.86 not true. Yeah, I found it 00:12:55.86\00:12:58.86 through the Bible, that's not true. 00:12:58.86\00:13:01.43 Elephants are the largest land animals 00:13:10.06\00:13:11.63 now living. They typically live for 00:13:11.63\00:13:14.33 50 to 70 years, but the oldest recorded 00:13:14.33\00:13:17.63 elephant lived for 82 years. Healthy adults 00:13:17.63\00:13:21.23 have no natural predators, although 00:13:21.23\00:13:23.50 lions may take calves or weak individuals. 00:13:23.50\00:13:25.60 They are however increasingly threatened 00:13:25.60\00:13:28.40 by human intrusion and poaching. 00:13:28.40\00:13:30.46 Once numbering in the millions, the African 00:13:30.46\00:13:34.20 Elephant population has dwindled to just over 00:13:34.20\00:13:36.50 500,000 thousand individuals according 00:13:36.50\00:13:38.73 to a March, 2007 estimate. Their brains 00:13:38.73\00:13:42.83 are larger than those of any other 00:13:42.83\00:13:44.40 land animal, and although the largest 00:13:44.40\00:13:46.70 whales have body masses 20 fold 00:13:46.70\00:13:49.10 those of a typical elephant. Whale's brains 00:13:49.10\00:13:51.70 are barely twice the mass. 00:13:51.70\00:13:53.46 They have an exceptional sense of 00:13:53.46\00:13:55.80 hearing and smell. The hearing receptors 00:13:55.80\00:13:58.43 reside not only in the ears, but also in 00:13:58.43\00:14:00.73 their trunks, which were sensitive to vibrations 00:14:00.73\00:14:03.20 and even more amazing they can hear with 00:14:03.20\00:14:05.73 their feet, which have special receptors 00:14:05.73\00:14:08.03 for low frequency sound. They are 00:14:08.03\00:14:11.00 famous for their trumpet calls which 00:14:11.00\00:14:12.60 were made when the animals blows through 00:14:12.60\00:14:14.26 it's nostrils. Elephants also make rumbling 00:14:14.26\00:14:17.23 growls when greeting each other. 00:14:17.23\00:14:18.60 Some of the elephants like the big bulls 00:14:22.53\00:14:24.10 weigh 6.5 tones. They've got monstrous 00:14:24.10\00:14:27.66 tusks, I'm told that the tusk here are 00:14:27.66\00:14:29.70 larger than many other locations. 00:14:29.70\00:14:31.20 That means they need a lot of minerals. 00:14:31.20\00:14:33.46 The road right in front of me here 00:14:33.46\00:14:35.70 closes every night at 6 O'clock, why, 00:14:35.70\00:14:38.50 because it basically becomes an elephant 00:14:38.50\00:14:40.46 walk. What are the elephants doing, 00:14:40.46\00:14:42.50 well they're digging in areas like this. 00:14:42.50\00:14:44.50 I don't know if you can see all of the 00:14:44.50\00:14:46.36 tusk marks. They call them elephant caves, 00:14:46.36\00:14:49.03 they're digging out dirt. They're actually 00:14:49.03\00:14:51.40 eating dirt, moms and dads your children 00:14:51.40\00:14:53.16 are eating dirt, you know why in this 00:14:53.16\00:14:55.00 case because they need minerals, 00:14:55.00\00:14:56.50 they need minerals to provide for those 00:14:56.50\00:14:58.53 massive tusk, those huge bodies. 00:14:58.53\00:15:00.43 It's an interesting diet if you think about it. 00:15:00.43\00:15:03.00 God is so incredible, he gives them enough 00:15:03.00\00:15:05.76 intelligence to search and to dig and find 00:15:05.76\00:15:08.20 the pockets of minerals that they need. 00:15:08.20\00:15:10.23 The social lives of male and female 00:15:14.13\00:15:15.86 elephants are very different. Females spend 00:15:15.86\00:15:18.40 their entire lives entitling of family 00:15:18.40\00:15:20.40 groups, made up of mothers, daughters, 00:15:20.40\00:15:22.33 sisters and aunts. When a group gets too big, 00:15:22.33\00:15:25.36 a few of the older daughters will break off 00:15:25.36\00:15:27.73 and form their own small group. 00:15:27.73\00:15:29.40 The life of the adult male is very different, 00:15:29.40\00:15:33.70 as he gets older he begins to spend more 00:15:33.70\00:15:36.00 time at the edge of the herd, gradually 00:15:36.00\00:15:38.03 going off on his own for hours or days at a 00:15:38.03\00:15:40.80 time. Eventually days become weeks and 00:15:40.80\00:15:44.20 sometime around the age of 14, 00:15:44.20\00:15:46.03 the mature male or bull sets out on 00:15:46.03\00:15:48.70 his own for good. While males live 00:15:48.70\00:15:51.13 primarily solitary lives. They will occasionally 00:15:51.13\00:15:54.03 form loose associations with other males. 00:15:54.03\00:15:56.26 The males spend much more time than the 00:16:10.66\00:16:12.20 females fighting for dominance with 00:16:12.20\00:16:13.76 each other, only the most dominant 00:16:13.76\00:16:16.20 males will be permitted to breed with cycling 00:16:16.20\00:16:18.50 females. The less dominant must wait 00:16:18.50\00:16:21.03 their turn. It is usually the older bulls 00:16:21.03\00:16:23.73 40 to 50-years-old that do most of the breeding. 00:16:23.73\00:16:27.16 The dominance battles between males can 00:16:33.03\00:16:34.73 look very fierce, but typically they inflict 00:16:34.73\00:16:37.90 very little injury. Most of the bouts are in the 00:16:37.90\00:16:42.83 form of aggressive displays and bluffs. 00:16:42.83\00:16:44.70 Ordinarily the smaller, younger and less 00:16:44.70\00:16:47.70 confident animals will back off before any 00:16:47.70\00:16:50.06 real damage can be done. However, during 00:16:50.06\00:16:53.70 the breeding season the battles can get 00:16:53.70\00:16:55.46 extremely aggressive and an elephant is 00:16:55.46\00:16:57.93 occasionally injured. During this season, 00:16:57.93\00:17:03.23 a bull will fight with almost any other male 00:17:03.23\00:17:05.66 it encounters, and it will spent most of 00:17:05.66\00:17:08.43 its time hovering around the female 00:17:08.43\00:17:09.56 herds, trying to find a receptive mate. 00:17:09.56\00:17:12.23 Before I made it here to the Serengeti 00:17:19.16\00:17:21.40 I never thought about it being so beautiful 00:17:21.40\00:17:23.53 and so lush in many places. Makes me 00:17:23.53\00:17:26.46 think of the Garden of Eden, how God 00:17:26.46\00:17:29.13 in the cool of the day walked hand in hand 00:17:29.13\00:17:31.46 with Adam and Eve, and God caused all the 00:17:31.46\00:17:34.66 animal creation to come before Adam, and 00:17:34.66\00:17:37.40 Adam made every single one. Apparently a name 00:17:37.40\00:17:40.93 that would signifying what type of animal, 00:17:40.93\00:17:42.90 what type of characteristics. I can't 00:17:42.90\00:17:45.30 even begin to imagine what that must have 00:17:45.30\00:17:47.33 been like, but Adam perfect from the hand 00:17:47.33\00:17:49.46 of the creator had such intellect, such 00:17:49.46\00:17:52.20 incredible wisdom. As I look around and 00:17:52.20\00:17:55.50 see the beauty that's still here, see the 00:17:55.50\00:17:59.10 animals themselves and think about the mind 00:17:59.10\00:18:01.36 of God watch must the mind of God be 00:18:01.36\00:18:03.53 like to create a giant cat, a wonderful cat, 00:18:03.53\00:18:06.60 so majestic and beautiful. To parrots 00:18:06.60\00:18:10.03 and buffalo and, well the list just goes 00:18:10.03\00:18:13.36 on and on and you've got to think, the mind 00:18:13.36\00:18:16.13 of God has to be absolutely infinite, and 00:18:16.13\00:18:19.86 loving, because he created 00:18:19.86\00:18:21.90 it all for you and for me. 00:18:21.90\00:18:24.66 I can't wait to get to heaven. 00:18:24.66\00:18:27.80 The Bible says the lion will lay down 00:18:27.80\00:18:30.03 with the lamb. Just imagine no more sin, 00:18:30.03\00:18:33.46 which means complete harmony among the 00:18:33.46\00:18:35.76 creation. I'll be able to snuggle with 00:18:35.76\00:18:38.16 the lions, maybe ride a giraffe or run with 00:18:38.16\00:18:40.90 the zebras. When exploring the great 00:18:40.90\00:18:43.30 wilds of Tanzania, it is easy to become 00:18:43.30\00:18:46.16 enthralled with the beauty and glory of the 00:18:46.16\00:18:48.23 creation, but even more exciting is the joy of 00:18:48.23\00:18:51.70 meeting listeners whose lives have been 00:18:51.70\00:18:53.43 dramatically affected by the God of creation. 00:18:53.43\00:18:56.36 It never seizes to amaze me how the Lord 00:18:56.36\00:18:59.53 speaks to each and every person in ways 00:18:59.53\00:19:02.00 that call, draw and eventually 00:19:02.00\00:19:04.33 win them to his comforting side. 00:19:04.33\00:19:06.40 When I was baptized then I used to listen to 00:19:09.40\00:19:12.16 AWR everyday. I was trying to find a way 00:19:12.16\00:19:16.06 how I can convince my father, because I know 00:19:16.06\00:19:19.30 that when my father is convinced, then the 00:19:19.30\00:19:21.40 whole family will be convinced, because the 00:19:21.40\00:19:24.30 father comes everybody yeah, everybody would 00:19:24.30\00:19:26.76 follow. Then because my father is usually 00:19:26.76\00:19:30.50 to sit there during the evening time, 00:19:30.50\00:19:33.53 I just turn to AWR and then come to sit 00:19:33.53\00:19:37.53 and I'll be here like see we're sitting 00:19:37.53\00:19:39.73 now here. You would bring your radio and 00:19:39.73\00:19:41.70 turned up so he had to listen. Yeah, yeah 00:19:41.70\00:19:42.73 so that he can hear. Sometimes when he's or 00:19:42.73\00:19:46.56 has done something, I used to explain 00:19:46.56\00:19:49.13 it to him. So, you liked it when your son 00:19:49.13\00:19:53.33 brought the radio out, so you could 00:19:53.33\00:19:54.80 listen to the radio. He said yes. 00:19:54.80\00:20:03.30 What it did mean to you then as you listen 00:20:03.30\00:20:05.56 to radio programs, how did affect your heart? 00:20:05.56\00:20:08.03 I really enjoy hearing the prayers and 00:20:08.03\00:20:12.40 the word of God when I heard the 00:20:12.40\00:20:14.86 prayers it touched my heart. I'm able to 00:20:14.86\00:20:17.76 read a little bit. So reading the Bible 00:20:17.76\00:20:20.26 also helped me find it through. When I 00:20:20.26\00:20:23.93 heard Adventist world radio I knew 00:20:23.93\00:20:26.83 this were the true people of God. 00:20:26.83\00:20:29.00 Tell me, what changes now, what has changed 00:20:29.00\00:20:32.56 in the whole family now that you've accepted 00:20:32.56\00:20:35.50 Christ, now that your lives are 00:20:35.50\00:20:37.20 changed how are they different? 00:20:37.20\00:20:38.33 Our entire family is changed. We are no 00:20:38.33\00:20:44.93 longer serving the spirit and now we are 00:20:44.93\00:20:48.46 all at peace. We used to sacrifice sheep for 00:20:48.46\00:20:51.86 the God whenever we thought we need 00:20:51.86\00:20:53.93 to satisfy his spirit but no longer. 00:20:53.93\00:20:56.20 So you sacrifice goat. Yes, yes, yes. 00:20:56.20\00:20:59.06 Sacrifice. And who did you sacrifice to, 00:20:59.06\00:21:02.40 what to the Gods or what were the sacrifices for? 00:21:02.40\00:21:08.70 They were two kind of sacrifices, one to the 00:21:08.70\00:21:15.96 spirit, the other to the red God. We will 00:21:15.96\00:21:19.63 slaughter the animal, eat some of the meat 00:21:19.63\00:21:22.66 and then take the rest of the meat to our 00:21:22.66\00:21:25.33 dead family members grave. So, the family 00:21:25.33\00:21:28.76 all the way from the fathers or maybe 00:21:28.76\00:21:30.73 generations here used to sacrifice put 00:21:30.73\00:21:34.30 in the stones in the ground and talk to the 00:21:34.30\00:21:36.16 dead, but now Jesus Christ has completely 00:21:36.16\00:21:39.43 changed your lives. Now, you said you had 00:21:39.43\00:21:42.26 a radio, I don't see any power lines or anyway 00:21:42.26\00:21:45.50 to what do you do for radio, what 00:21:45.50\00:21:47.20 your radio look like? We used batteries, 00:21:47.20\00:21:50.33 batteries, do you a radio that I might 00:21:50.33\00:21:53.06 see if your radio here handy, the one 00:21:53.06\00:21:55.90 I was using, yeah I have it. 00:21:55.90\00:21:58.26 Can I bring it, yeah it sounds good? 00:21:58.26\00:22:01.20 As you can see AWR is frontline 00:22:03.23\00:22:05.50 mission radio. Yes, AWR is your 00:22:43.30\00:22:46.73 mission radio. No walls and no borders 00:22:46.73\00:22:49.63 for AWR that means changed lives and 00:22:49.63\00:22:51.96 changed hearts around the world because 00:22:51.96\00:22:53.86 God is using the airways of 00:22:53.86\00:22:56.50 AWR to reach people everywhere. 00:22:56.50\00:22:58.70 Here is another story of hope from Adventist 00:23:03.30\00:23:06.10 World Radio. In the summer of 2003, 00:23:06.10\00:23:09.46 50 volunteers set out on bicycles across 00:23:09.46\00:23:12.40 the Karnataka, Goa region of India. 00:23:12.40\00:23:14.83 Their mission was to invite town's people 00:23:14.83\00:23:17.33 from around the region to one of 50 00:23:17.33\00:23:19.63 different locations where they could 00:23:19.63\00:23:21.50 listen to Adventist world radio. Many people 00:23:21.50\00:23:24.43 in the Karnataka, Goa region do not 00:23:24.43\00:23:26.93 own radios and those that do often 00:23:26.93\00:23:29.73 have never heard of Adventist world radio. 00:23:29.73\00:23:32.30 The goal of the project was to established 00:23:32.30\00:23:34.60 listener clubs that would meet them 00:23:34.60\00:23:36.30 regularly to listen to the programs hopefully 00:23:36.30\00:23:39.06 leading the people to Christ. To date over 00:23:39.06\00:23:42.33 2500 people have been baptized 00:23:42.33\00:23:45.63 through the listeners clubs. 00:23:45.63\00:23:46.90 Adventist world radio shares the hope of 00:23:50.20\00:23:53.10 Christ with millions of people everyday 00:23:53.10\00:23:55.76 in their own languages, for 00:23:55.76\00:23:58.10 more information visit AWR.org. 00:23:58.10\00:24:01.46 This is your radio, this is my radio. Wow, 00:24:05.43\00:24:07.60 it's a big radio. Yeah it is big. 00:24:07.60\00:24:09.43 How many batteries does that take, 00:24:09.43\00:24:11.43 four, four, four big batteries yeah. 00:24:11.43\00:24:13.50 Where is, where is AWR on the dial and 00:24:13.50\00:24:16.96 you got it already set there. Yeah. 00:24:16.96\00:24:18.83 I do like this, but sometimes it's around 00:24:18.83\00:24:28.00 here and here, but now it's not there, 00:24:28.00\00:24:31.90 it's middle of the day, yeah, we don't 00:24:31.90\00:24:34.03 broadcast in the middle of the day. 00:24:34.03\00:24:35.33 Everybody is out farming and taking care 00:24:35.33\00:24:38.66 of their animals. Alright, well thank you 00:24:38.66\00:24:41.63 for showing me that. If you had never 00:24:41.63\00:24:44.16 heard AWR what would your life be like now, 00:24:44.16\00:24:48.10 if your father had never heard AWR, 00:24:48.10\00:24:50.66 if you haven't been able to sit our here 00:24:50.66\00:24:51.80 and play the radio and hear those radio waves, 00:24:51.80\00:24:54.83 what would your life be like? I would go on 00:24:54.83\00:24:58.36 doing ungodly things. So there are others 00:24:58.36\00:25:02.23 listening AWR and the group is growing 00:25:02.23\00:25:04.26 and getting larger, more people 00:25:04.26\00:25:05.96 believing, my mother also listen the 00:25:05.96\00:25:09.30 and my sister now they're all baptized. 00:25:09.30\00:25:12.90 So with just a family it's a whole church, 00:25:12.90\00:25:15.53 there's enough people for a church, yeah. 00:25:15.53\00:25:18.00 So you're starting to make waves, 00:25:18.00\00:25:19.66 you heard the radio waves and now 00:25:19.66\00:25:21.23 you're making waves of the Holy Spirit 00:25:21.23\00:25:22.90 into other lives, yeah, yeah, yeah, alright. 00:25:22.90\00:25:25.00 Thank you very much, thanks you too, 00:25:25.00\00:25:27.36 thank you, thanks to you. You've got 00:25:27.36\00:25:30.70 a good son Paul here, he's a good son. 00:25:30.70\00:25:32.76 he says, he can, but his eyes got problem, 00:25:32.76\00:25:42.36 but maybe you can find glasses for me 00:25:42.36\00:25:46.46 so that I can read well, that's his problem, 00:25:46.46\00:25:50.26 he can't read his Bible, yeah. The scripture 00:25:50.26\00:25:57.06 says therefore if anyone is in Christ, 00:25:57.06\00:26:00.80 he is a new creation, the old has gone, 00:26:00.80\00:26:04.96 the new has come. Today we saw the 00:26:04.96\00:26:08.76 story of two individuals who are a brand new 00:26:08.76\00:26:11.20 creation in Jesus Christ. They have new 00:26:11.20\00:26:14.76 life, no more sacrifices to the dead, no more 00:26:14.76\00:26:19.20 stones buried so they can talk to the 00:26:19.20\00:26:21.53 spirits but instead happiness and joy 00:26:21.53\00:26:24.56 and peace of mind, because 00:26:24.56\00:26:27.33 they have found Jesus Christ. 00:26:27.33\00:26:29.33 We have a wonderful example of a father 00:26:29.33\00:26:32.90 and son relationship in this story. 00:26:32.90\00:26:35.33 In this case the son became a follower of 00:26:35.33\00:26:39.26 Jesus first and then made it possible for 00:26:39.26\00:26:42.70 his father to hear the radio broadcast and 00:26:42.70\00:26:46.30 that attracted him to become a follower 00:26:46.30\00:26:48.83 of Jesus Christ as he put it, the word of 00:26:48.83\00:26:51.56 God to come into his heart.
