However, at this 00:53 particular graveyard everybody from the world 00:56 comes to check it out. What am I referring to 00:58 of course the great Pyramids of Egypt. It's 01:01 actually a massive graveyard, What can I 01:04 say the Pharaohs wanted to do something in a 01:07 mighty way not only did they have their 01:09 remains entombed in this particular area 01:13 and this particular locations but they 01:14 provided of all the wealth that they could 01:17 amass and they took it here to these 01:19 locations and buried it right along side them. 01:21 You see, they wanted to take it with them, 01:23 they thought that they can supply all 01:26 the afterlife with luxury as they were 01:28 accustomed to here on earth. The thing I 01:31 want you to focus on and remember is, all that 01:34 wealth is still there. None of it not a single 01:38 piece of gold went to the afterlife, 01:41 interesting thought. 01:49 Pharaoh meaning Great House, is the 01:51 title used for the ruler who was the religious 01:54 and political leader of United Ancient Egypt. 01:59 Egyptians viewed kingship itself as a 02:01 force of nature. They recognized that the 02:04 Pharaoh was human and subject to human 02:06 frailties. Yet they simultaneously viewed 02:09 him as a God, such was his importance that 02:13 the Egyptian word for King referred only 02:16 to the Pharaoh. A foreign ruler was simply 02:18 called Great Chief, upon his death the Pharaoh 02:23 became fully deified. Moses grew up in 02:27 the house of Pharaoh and was greatly tempted 02:29 by the pride of life and the lust of the flesh, 02:31 but from instructions received from his 02:34 mother's side, he knew gaining the things 02:37 of this life did not compare to losing 02:39 what God had promised, eternal life for those 02:43 who followed him. Moses found true 02:45 eternal life as promised by God not by following 02:49 in the footsteps of the Pharaohs, but by 02:51 becoming a friend of the King of the universe. 03:09 Ragasa as you and I were in your village 03:10 here earlier today, clear up in the 03:12 mountains of Ethiopia. You shared with me 03:15 that you've got a really wild past history of 03:20 idol worship and all kinds of things, tell 03:24 me about that? What I want to share with 03:28 you today is from my past life, I was 03:31 raised by father and mother, who were 03:33 both fortune tellers, because of their 03:35 evil practices, my mother was very sick and 03:39 after a long time of sickness she died, 03:41 because of what they taught me I too was 03:44 sick for more than two years by demon 03:46 possession. Not only I was sick but all my 03:49 cousin had died. Whenever I will ask the fortune 03:53 tellers for answers about my sickness and my 03:56 cousin death, they would always said to 03:58 correct it I must kill more than two or three 04:01 men. Ragasa, you said the fortune teller 04:04 told you to kill people, did I hear 04:06 that correctly? Yes, to kill people, 04:10 some of their practices involve killing people. 04:13 They say you must not leave the kill of 04:15 living grandparent or children. So I went 04:19 to another place to seek answers but when I 04:21 went home I discover my brother had died. 04:23 So nobody would have went, there was no 04:26 fortune telling solution for me. Finally I found 04:30 God, praise to God because through him 04:33 I found the truth. For more than two years 04:36 I've gone to hospital and clinic to cure my 04:38 sickness, but a doctor could not find any 04:41 cure for me. After I came to God's house, 04:45 I was totally cured. I really want to thank God 04:49 because he brought me back from before I 04:51 was suffering in. For so long I could not cut 04:55 my hair or my nails, because the fortune 04:59 tellers, if I had known God I would not have 05:03 wasted my time on following Satan for so many years. 05:05 Just to go back a little bit for myself here, 05:08 you were raised as a fortune teller. Your 05:11 mother, your father everybody. You worship 05:14 the devil basically. So, this is an incredible 05:18 family that worshiped the devil and then you 05:22 found God through all of this. After my 05:28 sickness, and the death of my mother, I decide 05:32 to no longer follow the devil. It was after 05:35 that day that I began listening to Adventist 05:38 World Radio. And it's only been about 25 or 30 08:07 years that they had it out on display 08:09 as a matter of fact they found it, and they 08:12 didn't put it together for years, they just 08:13 let it set until finally someone said let's see 08:17 what we can do. And they found even all 08:19 the instructions and exactly how to put it 08:21 together, and buried with it, and they 08:25 discovered if they let it set and then 08:27 they finally put it together and assemble 08:29 it. I understand it's upstairs I haven't been 08:31 up there to see it yet, but I 08:33 can't wait to go up there. 08:38 The Khufu Ship is an intact full size vessel 08:41 from ancient Egypt that was sealed in pit at 08:44 the foot of the great pyramid of Giza around 08:47 3400 B.C. This is pretty amazing when 08:53 you look at this the intricate detail. Every 08:55 piece fashioned exactly appropriately, written 08:59 down apparently, how to put it all back 09:01 together with ropes and pegs. The whole 09:05 boat is assembled just with ropes and pegs. 09:07 And I wish you could appreciate how big 09:10 it is. It is so long, it is so huge. 09:13 And they put it all together for Pharaoh. 09:32 The ship is one of the oldest, largest and 09:34 best preserved vessels from antiquity. 09:36 It measures 143 feet long and 19 ½ feet 09:41 wide. It contains no keel and has been 09:45 re-assembled from 1224 pieces, which had been 09:49 laid in a logical and disassembled order in 09:53 the pit beside the pyramid. The instructions 09:57 that were buried with the boat makes you 09:59 think, who were the instruction for, who was 10:01 suppose to assemble this boat; and then I look 10:04 it all the orders 2, 4, 5, 10 orders for the 10:08 oarsmen, did Pharaoh kill all the oarsmen to 10:11 go with him to the afterlife, probably. 10:20 The history and function of the ship are not 10:21 precisely known. It is of the type known 10:24 as the solar barge, a ritual vessel to 10:27 carry the resurrected King with the Sun 10:29 God Ra across the heavens. However, it 10:33 bears some signs of having been used in 10:35 water, and it is possible that the ship was 10:38 either a funerary barge used to carry the 10:41 King's embalmed body from Memphis to Giza, 10:43 or even that Khufu himself used it as a 10:47 pilgrimage ship to visit holy places and that 10:50 it was then buried for him to use in the afterlife. 10:55 Now I just wonder, when he wakes up in the 10:57 resurrection, the first or the second is he 11:01 gonna wonder where is my boat. 11:06 Ragasa you said that listening to AWR 11:08 strengthened your life. Can you tell me 11:09 a little more how it helped you? 11:11 The radio program taught me about a true God, 11:18 the only Spirit and the Sabbath truth. Whenever 11:22 I cross checked, what has been preached on the 11:24 radio and what the Bible says they match out 11:26 perfectly. Adventist world radio is where 11:30 I have learned many truth of the Bible. 11:32 So you checked your scriptures and looked 11:34 and found what you were listening to. 11:35 Was there everything in the Bible? 11:37 Whenever I listened to the radio, I 11:41 always check the Bible scripture for the 11:44 radio program accuracy. I founded that 11:47 what they preach on the program and 11:49 what the Bible says is always the same. 11:51 Tell me how is AWR? I look at your past life 11:56 and then you listen to AWR, how has it 11:58 changed you now, how do you relate in 12:00 the village to people differently then when 12:02 you worship the devil? After listening to 12:07 Adventist world radio, I realized that I 12:09 had no love from my friends, but now after 12:12 realizing God is love, I have learned how 12:15 to fully love my friends and family. The radio 12:18 program is teaching me who God truly is, 12:21 and it is encouraging me to always do good. 12:24 My wish is the radio program will longer or 12:29 that they could be broadcasted more 12:31 frequently. Before I had many skills 12:34 and I had a lot of money, but I could 12:37 use them because I was worshiping the devil. 12:39 After believing in God, I found a peace of 12:43 mind and I'm constantly helping my brothers 12:46 and sisters even now I'm sharing the 12:49 message of hope with others, preaching so 12:52 that they can, also receive the same 12:54 salvation. My uncle was a follower of the 12:57 devil and no one wanted to share 13:00 food and drink with him. After I began 13:04 to follow God, I invite him into my home to eat 13:07 and drink. And now I'm helping him find 13:09 his way to God. So the main change in 13:12 me is my love for friend and neighbors. 13:15 So God is working through you to 13:17 change lives of other people now. Yes, I 13:21 know God is working through my life. 13:23 My brother was a idol worshiper, and I told him 13:26 I worship idol for several years and that 13:29 idol never once help me. I told him that after I 13:33 came to God's house my life changed. I 13:36 then share with him all the truth of the Bible. 13:38 And now because of that he became a Christian 13:43 and he is in God's house. So you still listen 13:46 to AWR? Recently my radio broke, but before 13:50 that I listen to Adventist world radio all the time. 13:54 I wish I could still listen to the program. 13:57 You are long waves from anywhere but 13:59 the radio waves get to your village. Even though 14:04 the radio is broadcasting far from us, it still 14:07 reaches here and it's helpful in our village, 14:09 because when we see friends and relative we 14:14 share Adventist world radio with them. 14:16 AWR give us an everlasting hope. 14:22 For those of us who may never have an 14:23 opportunity to actually go inside a tomb, 14:25 perhaps we can get a little idea of what, 14:29 what the Pharaohs carried into their tombs 14:32 because you see they thought that they 14:33 could take every thing to the afterlife, and 14:36 that's where the grave robbers came from. 14:38 They saw all this being carried in the tombs, 14:41 they saw all the jewelry, all the gold, 14:43 all the silver the brass and everything and the 14:44 thought, we have a way, we have something 14:47 we're going to do, we're going to sneak 14:49 into the tombs, we're going to steal it to 14:51 ourselves. All Egyptians were buried with at 14:54 least some burial goods, which they thought 14:57 necessary after death. At a minimum these 15:00 consisted of everyday objects such as bowls, 15:03 combs and other trinkets along with food. 15:09 The Pharaohs built huge funerary temples for 15:12 themselves on the west bank of the Nile, and 15:15 were buried in spectacular rock cut 15:17 tombs in the Valley of the Kings, design to 15:20 ensure their eternal afterlife. The amount of 15:24 money and manpower expanded on the pyramids 15:26 to house the mummified remains of the Pharaohs 15:29 is almost beyond calculation. The 15:32 Pharaohs were trying to become like God, 15:34 but it didn't work. Beginning in the new 15:38 Kingdom, books of the dead were included 15:41 in the grave. The Book of the Dead is the 15:44 common name for the ancient Egyptian funerary 15:46 text, it was a description of the 15:49 ancient Egyptian conception of the 15:51 afterlife and a collection of hymns, spells, and 15:55 instructions to allow the deceased to pass through 15:57 obstacles in the afterlife. It was 16:01 commonly written on a papyrus scroll and 16:03 placed in a coffin or burial chamber of the 16:06 deceased. They had a highly developed 16:09 view of the afterlife with elaborate rituals 16:12 for preparing the body and soul for an 16:15 eternal life after death. Beliefs about the soul 16:18 and afterlife focused heavily on preservation 16:21 of the body. This meant that embalming and 16:24 mummification were practiced, in order to 16:26 preserve the individual's identity in the afterlife. 16:29 True mummification began in the forth dynasty 16:35 with the development of artificial embalming 16:37 techniques. The corpse was initially dried 16:40 out with Natron, once dried mummies 16:43 were ritualistically anointed with oils 16:46 and perfumes. The abdomen was opened 16:49 and all organs except for the heart were 16:52 removed and preserve in canopic jars. 17:09 The heart rather than the brain was 17:11 considered the seed of all thought and 17:13 emotion. The brain thought to be useless 17:16 was smashed and pulled out through the nose 17:18 with hooks then discarded. Next, the 17:22 body was stuffed with sacred and protected 17:24 amulets and wrapped in linen bandages. Finally, 17:28 the mummy was laid to rest in his sarcophagus, 17:30 inside a tomb where it was believed that 17:33 the mummy would reset eternally. The best 17:42 mummification technique took a total of 70 days 17:45 to complete. The Biblical record is very clear, 17:50 not only did Jesus break up every funeral he 17:53 ever attended by raising the dead after dying 17:56 upon the cross he rose again the third day. 17:59 This is the victory that all the saints of God 18:02 will experience, to be brought back to life, 18:05 hard to believe. We discovered a 18:08 modern day example of raising the dead 18:10 in the country of Ethiopia. You said that 18:13 you were demon possessed for two years. 18:15 Tell me a little more about that? This was, 18:18 for my sickness was in my stomach and 18:21 after coming to God, I placed my hand on 18:24 my stomach and prayed for three days. 18:26 At end of the third day, I became well. 18:30 Once I was cured, I ask my wife to go to 18:32 church with me, but she and my children 18:35 refused to go with me, because she followed 18:39 the fortune tellers and I followed the true God. 18:41 She will not live with me as husband and wife. 18:44 After I became a Christian, she refused 18:47 to come with me to church. I also had 18:50 support from my mother and brother, because 18:53 they both were telling her to believe in God, 18:55 but my wife continued to refuse even if it 18:59 meant her death. Now your wife 19:02 was a fortune teller, is that correct? 19:04 She was also a follower of the fortune tellers 19:07 and she also was sick. Before I came to 19:11 God I had sacrifice 12 sheep for her. 19:13 I like to ask you said that, you sacrificed 19:18 12 sheep, who did you sacrifice them to. 19:21 I had sacrificed the sheep to the devil no 19:26 one else. If the sheep was too small I was 19:29 asked to sacrificed an ox or cow. I will 19:34 prepare my house and then sacrifice the 19:36 sheep, then I will press the body on the gate 19:39 of my house and burn it. When I gave my 19:46 life to God I tried to get my wife and my 19:49 father to follow God. So many people were 19:52 asking them to believe in God, but I finally 19:55 just asked my relative to stop asking and 19:58 begin praying for them to become Christians. 20:01 Just when my wife was about to decide to raise 20:04 her hand, and surrender to God, the devil 20:08 made her fall on the ground and she was 20:10 dead for three days and night. On the third 20:15 day the church elders and the church members 20:18 came and prayed for her. Praise the Lord 20:22 because on the third day after the church 20:24 prayed, she sits up and became well. 20:27 Did I understand you correctly that you said 20:30 your wife was raised from the dead. Yes, I 20:35 really believe that, after the day my entire 20:38 family understood that God is able to cure all 20:41 sickness and that He can do anything. Even my 20:45 father who was a fortune teller for more 20:48 than 45 years recognized God's 20:50 power and became a Christian. 20:52 Now most people that view this program 20:56 could never believe that, why are there so 20:58 many people here in this village who believe that? 21:01 When my wife was raised from the dead, 21:04 five people my friend and neighbors were 21:07 witnesses to it. Yes, yes, yes. 23:39 It's so hard to believe, I understand there 23:42 were witnesses, are the witnesses here too? 23:58 And so someone tell me what happened? One of 24:01 you tell me what happened? 24:02 Ragasa believe in God, and his wife refused 24:07 to follow him at first, but when she was going 24:10 to change her decision, the devil made her 24:12 fall down and close her mouth. She was dead 24:16 for three days and three nights. She could not 24:21 move or speak, she was perfectly still and 24:25 she was dead. We were all feeling 24:27 very sad because she passed before she 24:29 could accept Jesus as her savior. 24:31 So every one of you, you all agree with this 24:35 testimony? She was dead. We all began 24:38 to pray for her and three days later while 24:41 we were praying she began to hear 24:43 what we were saying, her eyes open and we 24:47 ask her to believe in God if she could hear 24:49 us, because she couldn't speak, she show us 24:52 through hand signal. She was accepting 24:55 what we were saying. See there is a lot of 24:57 times where people that have hard time 24:59 believing that she would be raised from the 25:01 dead but we so serve the God of miracle, 25:03 the same God from the book of Acts, does 25:06 the same kind of miracles for His people 25:08 who believe. We believe that God does 25:11 miracle things and still working. Well thank you 25:15 everyone and I am so glad that you are a 25:17 child of the Kingdom. Thank you so much 25:26 everyone.
