He had an unshakable faith in God. 00:00:01.96\00:00:02.93 Any thought if I build it they will come. 00:00:03.13\00:00:05.90 What did he build, stay tune to find out. 00:00:06.10\00:00:09.00 One of the earliest and most sophisticated 00:00:45.96\00:00:48.20 civilizations lies along the banks of the Nile River 00:00:48.43\00:00:51.80 in Egypt. Climate changes and overgrazing forced 00:00:52.00\00:00:55.00 the ancient Egyptians to move from what is now 00:00:55.23\00:00:57.46 the Sahara desert to the banks of the Nile. 00:00:57.66\00:01:00.23 In 3150 BC, Minze was first to unify the Northern 00:01:00.23\00:01:05.36 and Southern people giving rise to the dynastic system 00:01:05.56\00:01:08.93 that govern Egypt for the next three thousand years. 00:01:09.16\00:01:12.60 The ancient Egyptians were highly developed people. 00:01:12.80\00:01:17.13 Their sophistication can be seen in the construction 00:01:17.36\00:01:19.90 of many temples and pyramids. 00:01:20.10\00:01:22.53 It's hard to imagine being here at the great pyramids 00:01:25.80\00:01:28.30 of Egypt. In the spot of solid city and I see 00:01:28.50\00:01:32.33 the pyramids of Egypt, but look there they are, 00:01:32.53\00:01:34.76 right there, I can't imagine that the pharaohs ever 00:01:34.96\00:01:38.43 in vision such a thing is all of this. 00:01:38.63\00:01:41.56 The pyramid of Giza is the only one of the seven 00:01:45.76\00:01:48.53 ancient wonders of the world still remaining. 00:01:48.76\00:01:51.10 People from around the world 00:01:54.06\00:01:55.26 come to tour these vast structures. 00:01:55.50\00:01:57.93 Thousands of years ago, the pyramids were built 00:02:10.20\00:02:12.70 on the Giza plateau as Necropolis, 00:02:12.90\00:02:15.23 a royal burial ground. The pyramids were built 00:02:15.43\00:02:19.03 to house the bodies of the pharaohs 00:02:19.26\00:02:20.80 as the symbol of their divine power and to ensure 00:02:21.03\00:02:23.80 the eternal after life. The site of them is absolutely 00:02:24.03\00:02:28.33 overwhelming. It makes you wonder how they were built 00:02:28.56\00:02:31.50 without modern day cranes, trucks, or barges. 00:02:31.70\00:02:34.50 How much. 50 Egyptian. 00:02:34.70\00:02:37.56 50 for how long the ride is that? 00:02:37.80\00:02:39.26 Open time. Open time. 00:02:39.46\00:02:41.26 Yeah, you can take a nice photo, nice ride, 00:02:41.50\00:02:42.96 and a nice picture. 50 is lot. 00:02:43.16\00:02:45.06 How much you want? I don't know, 00:02:45.30\00:02:47.76 anyway we don't have time, I don't know, 00:02:47.96\00:02:50.90 how friendly he is. He is very friendly. 00:02:51.10\00:02:52.90 You are not friendly. Oh, this camel is. 00:02:53.13\00:02:55.93 You are not friendly. This camel is mine. 00:02:56.16\00:02:58.33 Oh, he is your camel. Yeah look. Okay. 00:02:58.56\00:03:00.20 Looks like he is very good pet. 00:03:04.13\00:03:06.43 Yeah, because you want a kiss. 00:03:06.66\00:03:07.73 No, I don't, I don't need, I don't need a kiss. 00:03:07.96\00:03:09.80 Travel with me now as I head far south 00:03:11.33\00:03:13.73 of the majestic pyramids to the African island nation 00:03:14.00\00:03:16.66 of Madagascar, where I find a man 00:03:16.90\00:03:18.80 filled with joy and courage, who built something 00:03:19.00\00:03:21.56 far more important than the pyramids of Egypt. 00:03:21.80\00:03:24.13 So, it's over here. Before we actually came over here 00:03:29.90\00:03:35.06 to this hill, you said that you would always been 00:03:35.30\00:03:37.63 a Christian since a little boy. 00:03:37.63\00:03:39.30 My father was a Christian, 00:03:41.20\00:03:42.23 so I have been a Christian since my childhood. 00:03:42.53\00:03:44.90 Is everyone in the village believe the same way 00:03:45.13\00:03:47.60 as far as believe in the creator God of the Universe. 00:03:47.86\00:03:50.90 Yes many people in this village believe in God 00:03:51.13\00:03:55.40 the creator So from 2001 to now 00:03:55.63\00:03:58.93 when you are standing here today, 00:03:59.16\00:04:00.20 you pointed on that hil behind you and said 00:04:00.43\00:04:02.53 there is our church. How did all that happen? 00:04:02.73\00:04:05.30 I am very pleased because I built a house 00:04:07.20\00:04:09.50 to God's people here in this area. 00:04:09.70\00:04:12.06 You built the church. Yes, I built the church. 00:04:12.30\00:04:15.80 Did you do that before there were any members 00:04:16.03\00:04:18.03 or did you start talking with a few people 00:04:18.30\00:04:21.00 and bring some people together and then built a church. 00:04:21.26\00:04:23.33 I built it before there were any members here. 00:04:24.83\00:04:27.20 Before there were any members you build a church 00:04:27.46\00:04:29.30 to God. It's wonderful, but how did you feel 00:04:29.53\00:04:32.40 so impressed to do that. 00:04:32.63\00:04:33.73 I did it because I didn't have to get into worship in. 00:04:35.70\00:04:38.73 And so you built the place to worship. 00:04:39.00\00:04:41.50 I didn't build it for myself. 00:04:42.90\00:04:45.36 I believed other people would come and join me. 00:04:45.60\00:04:48.10 And did anyone come. Yes many people came. 00:04:48.30\00:04:52.26 How many people worship with you now? 00:04:52.50\00:04:54.43 Around 30 people including children. 00:04:54.70\00:04:57.63 As you can see AWR is frontline mission radio. 00:04:59.83\00:05:03.06 Our first priority is to travel where missionaries 00:05:03.30\00:05:06.36 cannot go. Let me tell you about our work 00:06:06.73\00:06:09.43 in North Korea, a nation governed by a powerfully 00:06:09.66\00:06:12.80 repressive communist regime, where any form of 00:06:13.00\00:06:15.56 evangelism is strictly forbidden. 00:06:15.80\00:06:17.73 Adventist World Radio makes daily shortwave broadcast 00:06:17.96\00:06:21.16 to North Korea spreading the hope of Christ 00:06:21.36\00:06:23.60 to a nation utterly devoid of Christianity is extremely 00:06:23.80\00:06:28.10 rare that we make any contact with listeners 00:06:28.33\00:06:31.23 in North Korea. However through communication 00:06:31.43\00:06:33.83 with North Korean refugees, we are encouraged 00:06:34.10\00:06:36.50 to know that people are listening to our programs. 00:06:36.73\00:06:39.60 We pray that our listeners in North Korea will receive 00:06:39.83\00:06:43.20 God's word and find salvation in Christ. 00:06:43.40\00:06:46.63 Adventist World Radio shares the hope of Christ 00:06:48.70\00:06:52.10 with millions of people everyday. 00:06:52.36\00:06:54.56 For more information visit awr.org. 00:06:54.80\00:06:58.93 The ancients thinks guarding the tombs 00:07:01.33\00:07:03.90 of the pharaohs a lion body, the head of a man. 00:07:04.10\00:07:07.16 They had thousands of Gods in Egypt, 00:07:07.40\00:07:09.86 so many Gods that they couldn't even categorize 00:07:10.10\00:07:12.13 every one of them. You notice the nose is missing; 00:07:12.40\00:07:15.43 it's been missing for centuries. 00:07:15.63\00:07:17.00 They say it was Napoleon's army, who shattered off 00:07:17.23\00:07:20.20 and target practice, but it was only a rumor, 00:07:20.43\00:07:22.80 it really isn't true. 00:07:23.00\00:07:24.06 The sphinx, the earliest known monumental sculpture 00:07:27.20\00:07:29.83 of ancient Egypt. The monument is carved from 00:07:30.06\00:07:33.63 an out crop of natural rock. 00:07:33.86\00:07:35.33 It stands 66 feet high with elongated body, 00:07:35.56\00:07:39.66 241 feet long, outstretched paws and a raw head dress 00:07:39.90\00:07:44.83 framing the face of a man, 00:07:45.06\00:07:46.23 possibly the face of the king himself. 00:07:46.23\00:07:48.96 As you can see there are tourists everywhere. 00:08:00.16\00:08:02.26 It is truly an incredible wonder to see the sphinx 00:08:02.53\00:08:05.76 of Egypt. To be here you know I have read about it 00:08:05.96\00:08:08.73 all my life in the history books. But then to be here 00:08:08.96\00:08:11.40 in person, to see it, to experience it, 00:08:11.63\00:08:13.80 what must it had been like when it was brand new, 00:08:14.00\00:08:17.36 right from the hands off 00:08:17.60\00:08:19.00 all those workers pretty phenomenal. 00:08:19.20\00:08:21.73 Adjacent to the sphinx is one of the oldest surviving 00:08:33.73\00:08:37.40 temples in Egypt, the Temple of Khafre, 00:08:37.63\00:08:39.63 this temple served as the gateway to the pyramids 00:08:39.86\00:08:42.56 connected by a long causeway. 00:08:42.80\00:08:44.86 They are called one of the seven ancient wonders 00:08:47.10\00:08:49.30 of the world, perhaps the only wonders that are still 00:08:49.53\00:08:52.50 in existence. The pyramids originally cap with gold. 00:08:52.73\00:08:56.56 They were covered in limestone, so that they would 00:08:56.80\00:08:59.80 reflect the morning sunrays all over Egypt. 00:09:00.06\00:09:02.56 Perhaps this very pyramids Moses himself looked upon, 00:09:02.80\00:09:07.03 the children of Israel looked upon in their mass exodus 00:09:07.26\00:09:10.53 out of this country. It's all inspiring; 00:09:10.76\00:09:14.33 it's thrilling to be here 00:09:14.56\00:09:16.10 to look on such ancient history, 00:09:16.33\00:09:19.40 the mighty pyramids of Egypt. 00:09:19.63\00:09:21.90 One of the greatest mystery surrounding the pyramid 00:09:31.96\00:09:34.13 is how would they construct it. 00:09:34.40\00:09:36.23 Thousands of years ago how did the ancient Egyptian 00:09:37.33\00:09:40.50 core move in place such massive stones 00:09:40.73\00:09:44.00 with such precision? The pyramid of Dahshur 00:09:44.20\00:09:47.96 seems to demonstrate that mistakes were made 00:09:48.20\00:09:50.40 in the earlier construction, different styles were used 00:09:50.63\00:09:53.70 until they perfection it Giza plateau. 00:09:53.90\00:09:55.80 The three great pyramids of Giza 00:09:57.56\00:09:58.93 were built in less than one hundred years. 00:09:58.93\00:10:01.56 Two million three hundred thousand stones, 00:10:03.93\00:10:07.03 it was constructed archeologists says over a 00:10:07.80\00:10:10.00 twenty year period using about a hundred thousand 00:10:10.00\00:10:12.46 men, and you wonder sometimes how could this be. 00:10:12.46\00:10:15.60 Some men have worked out the figures they say 00:10:15.60\00:10:18.06 that's 315 stones a day that needed to be laid over 00:10:18.06\00:10:21.70 a 12-hour period. These stones have to come from 00:10:21.70\00:10:24.80 the coral reef far away put on the River Nile boated 00:10:24.80\00:10:28.30 all the way up here, and brought to this site to be 00:10:28.30\00:10:31.33 constructed, 315 stones every single day, 00:10:31.33\00:10:34.73 how could it happen, how could it be, 00:10:35.66\00:10:36.96 I don't know you even think about the corey, 00:10:37.80\00:10:39.33 how many men did it take the corey stones of that 00:10:39.33\00:10:42.50 size every single day for how long. Perhaps there 00:10:42.50\00:10:47.20 are some people suggest that maybe the ancients 00:10:47.20\00:10:49.70 were lot wiser than we give them credit for today. 00:10:49.70\00:10:52.40 Emmanuel when we were in the village asking directions 00:10:57.46\00:11:00.20 to try and find you, people said it was about 00:11:00.20\00:11:02.73 11 kilometers, what they didn't tell us it was 00:11:02.73\00:11:05.53 straight up, you live on top of the mountains, 00:11:05.53\00:11:08.03 but it's a beautiful place. Were you born and raised 00:11:08.03\00:11:11.43 in this area. Yes. How many members in your family? 00:11:11.43\00:11:15.50 There are around 40 members in my family. 00:11:17.00\00:11:19.16 We all live together here. Tell what type of work do 00:11:19.90\00:11:24.23 you do here in the village? 00:11:24.23\00:11:25.20 I farm and grow vegetables. 00:11:25.20\00:11:27.90 Do you also do rice, I see some rice fields behind you? 00:11:28.90\00:11:31.16 Yes my family and I live on rice. 00:11:32.80\00:11:35.23 How many crops of rice do you get, just one 00:11:35.96\00:11:37.96 a year or more than one? 00:11:37.96\00:11:38.96 We don't get much water here, so we grow rice once a year, 00:11:40.80\00:11:44.53 but in other places with normal rain they can grow 00:11:44.53\00:11:48.40 three crops a year. I understand in this area 00:11:48.40\00:11:51.10 that you get cyclones, have you ever had a cyclone 00:11:51.10\00:11:53.96 in this area? Yes, cyclones have happened a few times 00:11:53.96\00:11:58.73 here. Tell me about it what was it like to live through 00:11:58.73\00:12:01.86 a cyclone? Cyclones are very frightening because 00:12:04.70\00:12:06.56 you don't know whether or not you will survive to it. 00:12:06.56\00:12:09.33 How about your homes, I mean they look pretty strong, 00:12:10.46\00:12:13.20 but they'll withstand the cyclone too. 00:12:13.20\00:12:15.16 We never had problems with our houses being 00:12:15.40\00:12:18.83 destroyed, but our church has suffered the most 00:12:18.83\00:12:21.40 during cyclones. And what happened to it? 00:12:21.40\00:12:23.80 The wind reaped the roof off. 00:12:25.93\00:12:27.26 Sukari is perhaps one of the richest archaeological 00:12:29.56\00:12:32.30 sites in all of Egypt, spans a timeframe of three 00:12:32.30\00:12:35.00 thousand years. Right behind me here is the 00:12:35.00\00:12:37.76 step pyramid, perhaps one of the oldest of the 00:12:37.76\00:12:40.76 pyramids, kind of a test pyramid if you will. 00:12:40.76\00:12:42.66 This area spans four miles in length, 00:12:44.10\00:12:46.70 they probably don't even know what's underground it, 00:12:47.56\00:12:49.76 they are finding more things all the time. 00:12:49.76\00:12:51.50 There is a lot of dust and pollution in the sky 00:12:51.50\00:12:54.40 today, but I hope you can see over my shoulder 00:12:54.40\00:12:56.26 here far, far you will see three pyramids, 00:12:56.26\00:12:59.13 but then in the distance almost like silhouettes 00:12:59.13\00:13:02.00 of more pyramids, those are the pyramids 00:13:02.00\00:13:03.70 of Giza right at the edge of Cairo. As we come 00:13:03.70\00:13:07.93 across of course you see a proverbial camel tied up. 00:13:07.93\00:13:10.20 More areas of digs and things archeological 00:13:11.96\00:13:14.23 expeditions that are going on right now. 00:13:14.23\00:13:16.30 The step pyramid here and then check this out. 00:13:16.30\00:13:19.56 In the distance there you can see the pyramids 00:13:21.40\00:13:25.06 to the right and then clear in the far distance 00:13:25.06\00:13:27.60 additional pyramids, all built in these high plateau area, 00:13:27.60\00:13:32.13 and then it dips down into the valley, into the areas, 00:13:32.13\00:13:35.36 that are of lush with the Nile river supplying the 00:13:35.36\00:13:38.66 nutrients, flooding every year, 00:13:38.66\00:13:41.06 the Nile floods every year, and used to bring the 00:13:41.06\00:13:44.00 fresh nutrients, and that's why they actually 00:13:44.00\00:13:46.50 worship the Nile because it brought life, 00:13:46.50\00:13:48.63 it brought vibrancy to all the people. 00:13:48.63\00:13:51.30 But this is not a place of vibrancy here this is 00:13:53.10\00:13:55.03 a place of death, this is the necropolis, 00:13:55.03\00:13:57.30 the place of the dead spans from miles and miles. 00:13:57.30\00:14:00.80 The great pyramid of Kheops, the fifth in the sequence 00:14:02.66\00:14:05.56 of major stone pyramids contain some 2.3 million 00:14:05.56\00:14:09.43 limestone blocks, weighing on average 2.5 tons each, 00:14:09.43\00:14:13.70 and up to 7.5 tons which were placed in a period 00:14:13.70\00:14:17.86 of about 20 years. This means that the stones 00:14:17.86\00:14:22.53 had to be placed at an average rate of one every 00:14:22.53\00:14:25.90 two minutes during all the daylight hours over 00:14:25.90\00:14:29.13 the construction period. This required not intensive 00:14:29.13\00:14:32.80 labor and brute force, but a hi-tech solution. 00:14:32.80\00:14:35.60 The Greek historian Herodotus travel to Egypt 00:14:39.93\00:14:42.43 around 450 BC and wrote that the Egyptians 00:14:42.43\00:14:45.90 have some sort of gear that was used in lifting 00:14:45.90\00:14:48.50 this large blocks, but scientists have found no proof 00:14:48.50\00:14:51.96 of any such lifting device. Dr. RHG Perry 00:14:51.96\00:14:57.66 suggested they used a cradle like machine that 00:14:57.66\00:15:00.76 had been excavated in various new kingdom temples. 00:15:00.76\00:15:03.36 Four of those objects could be fitted around the 00:15:04.10\00:15:06.20 block, so it could be rolled easily. Experiment showed 00:15:06.20\00:15:10.60 how 80 men could drag the block over a 1-in-4 00:15:10.60\00:15:14.16 incline ramp at a rate of 80 meters per minute. 00:15:14.16\00:15:17.06 Many methods have been proposed for raising the 00:15:19.00\00:15:21.20 stones, but today no conclusive evidence 00:15:21.20\00:15:23.76 has been found to support just one method. 00:15:23.76\00:15:26.13 These theories also do not answer the question 00:15:27.70\00:15:29.90 of how the stones were transported down the Nile 00:15:29.90\00:15:32.40 from as far away as Aswan over 200 miles to the south. 00:15:32.40\00:15:36.60 Out in the middle of what appears to be just rubble 00:15:40.50\00:15:42.73 everywhere, you find huge granite slabs and in 00:15:42.73\00:15:46.56 this slabs some integrate carvings. 00:15:46.56\00:15:49.10 Who were these people that could bring this granite 00:15:50.73\00:15:52.66 from so many miles away and do meticulous 00:15:52.66\00:15:56.83 work like they did here. Now I understand I was told 00:15:56.83\00:16:04.20 in the village at the bottom of the mountain 00:16:04.20\00:16:06.20 that you listen to AWR. When did you start 00:16:06.20\00:16:08.90 listening? I started listening to Adventist World Radio 00:16:08.90\00:16:13.53 in 1998. And how did you start, did you just happened 00:16:13.53\00:16:17.76 to turn or did someone tell you? 00:16:17.76\00:16:19.20 I had never heard of Adventist World Radio, 00:16:20.40\00:16:23.53 but one day I accidentally tune into it. 00:16:24.63\00:16:26.90 So you accidentally found the station, and tell me about 00:16:26.90\00:16:31.16 the first time that you heard it. 00:16:31.16\00:16:32.70 What did you think about it? 00:16:32.70\00:16:33.70 I was very interested in AWR because the message 00:16:35.06\00:16:38.63 was new for me. What was new about it? 00:16:38.63\00:16:40.83 The truth about the Sabbath was new to me. 00:16:42.26\00:16:44.46 And so there is new Bible truth that you begin 00:16:44.46\00:16:47.73 listening to. Did you just accept it right away or tell 00:16:47.73\00:16:52.20 me little of that process? I believed right away, 00:16:52.20\00:16:55.53 but I wanted proof from my fellow Christians. 00:16:55.53\00:16:58.03 What kind of proof? I wanted to know why many 00:16:58.03\00:17:02.53 Christians thought that Sabbath was finished, 00:17:02.73\00:17:04.30 while others do believe in it. 00:17:05.20\00:17:06.70 And where did that lead you in your experience with God? 00:17:06.70\00:17:09.86 From then on I had a desire to know more about the Sabbath. 00:17:11.90\00:17:15.23 Did you share this desire with anyone else at the time? 00:17:15.23\00:17:18.43 Yes, I share it with others. 00:17:18.43\00:17:21.10 And what was their response? 00:17:21.10\00:17:23.30 At that time, I was the leader of another church 00:17:23.53\00:17:27.10 and I shared the Adventist truth with my fellow 00:17:27.10\00:17:29.90 members of the church. You are the leader of the 00:17:29.90\00:17:32.76 entire church and you shared this, did you shared 00:17:32.76\00:17:35.33 upfront or just quietly amongst the few people? 00:17:35.33\00:17:37.80 I shared upfront during the church service. 00:17:39.06\00:17:41.50 And what was that reaction when you shared 00:17:41.50\00:17:43.66 it in the church. After I scheduled my church 00:17:43.66\00:17:46.96 members, they reported me to do priest, 00:17:46.96\00:17:48.90 then the priest came and kick me out. 00:17:48.90\00:17:51.10 You are kicked out of your church now. 00:17:51.10\00:17:53.13 You no longer have a church. What did you do next? 00:17:53.13\00:17:55.70 I decided to be baptized as an Adventist. 00:17:55.70\00:17:59.40 So you didn't get discouraged at all, when you no longer 00:18:00.16\00:18:02.86 have a church, you didn't get discouraged, 00:18:02.86\00:18:04.90 tell me why? I was not discouraged because 00:18:04.90\00:18:08.13 I firmly believed in Jesus' baptism. 00:18:08.13\00:18:10.80 You know when your heart is open to the Lord, 00:18:11.70\00:18:13.20 God will always lead you. 00:18:13.20\00:18:14.50 Because we really don't understand how the pyramids 00:18:17.06\00:18:19.30 were constructed, there are so many different ideas, 00:18:19.30\00:18:22.26 people even come up with the wildest things, 00:18:22.26\00:18:24.20 aliens came down and it was aliens who constructed 00:18:24.20\00:18:27.26 them. I like to think perhaps there is another reason. 00:18:27.26\00:18:30.60 One fellow, I know came up with an idea he called 00:18:30.60\00:18:34.46 Ooparts, Out of Place Artefacts. They actually in 00:18:34.46\00:18:38.76 pyramids and told they discovered what appears 00:18:38.76\00:18:41.30 to be a battery powered by citric acid. 00:18:41.30\00:18:44.40 These batteries they postulate could have created 00:18:45.33\00:18:47.66 electricity to light bulbs, I know it sounds funny 00:18:47.66\00:18:51.60 but light bulbs of all things to light the insides of the 00:18:51.60\00:18:54.63 pyramids. Could these ancient people have had 00:18:54.63\00:18:57.70 technology that we don't understand? Well it is a 00:18:57.70\00:19:01.60 possibility if you believe in the Bible you see because 00:19:01.60\00:19:04.76 according to the Bible man was created directly from 00:19:04.76\00:19:07.90 the hand of the creator. He had tremendous insight, 00:19:07.90\00:19:12.00 tremendous knowledge, but after the flood and the 00:19:12.00\00:19:15.10 degeneration of humanity we lost a lot of what 00:19:15.10\00:19:18.66 we originally had. Could it be that this was the 00:19:18.66\00:19:22.90 simple thing for them to construct in their time, 00:19:22.90\00:19:25.70 perhaps. It's sad indeed to realize that perhaps 00:19:26.60\00:19:33.20 millions of people suffered and died in order 00:19:33.20\00:19:36.60 to build the pharaohs dream tombs that only they 00:19:36.60\00:19:39.90 could benefit from, and then think of the vast amounts 00:19:39.90\00:19:43.46 of money they squandered to build these edifices 00:19:43.46\00:19:45.86 in order to prepare themselves for the journey 00:19:45.86\00:19:48.63 to the afterlife. Can you imagine how difficult it would 00:19:48.63\00:19:53.80 be to get stones higher and higher and higher? 00:19:53.80\00:19:56.20 They did it, many people come up with lot of ideas, 00:19:58.83\00:20:01.26 but we may never know. What a site to behold. 00:20:01.26\00:20:10.16 Imagine the glittering gold and the polish limestone 00:20:10.16\00:20:13.80 reflecting the brilliant rays of the very sun they 00:20:13.80\00:20:16.70 worshipped. To realize that the pyramids were 00:20:16.70\00:20:34.93 at one time covered with polish white limestone and 00:20:34.93\00:20:38.16 capped with gold is almost hard to conceive, 00:20:38.16\00:20:40.90 but most of those stone have fallen off or were 00:20:41.70\00:20:44.00 removed and used in the building of many 00:20:44.00\00:20:46.16 Cairo's mosques. We are at radio wave at AWR; 00:20:46.16\00:20:59.50 God is reaching people around the world. 00:20:59.50\00:21:01.70 We would like to offer you an edition of Making Wave. 00:21:03.80\00:21:05.80 It's four of our episodes brought to you from around 00:21:06.43\00:21:08.63 the world. God speaking to hearts, the hearts of the 00:21:08.63\00:21:12.16 listeners of AWR exciting stories. We hope that you 00:21:12.16\00:21:15.33 would share those with friends and neighbors, 00:21:15.33\00:21:16.80 acquaintances, any one you come in contact with. 00:21:16.80\00:21:19.46 Join us to make wave, it's completely free. 00:21:19.46\00:21:22.20 Right now the information is on your screen. 00:21:23.33\00:21:24.73 For your free no obligation DVD write to Adventist 00:21:26.60\00:21:30.26 World Radio, 12501, Old Columbia Pike Silver Spring, 00:21:30.26\00:21:34.86 Maryland 20904 or call 1-866-503-3531 00:21:34.86\00:21:42.30 or log on to www.awr.org/MWDVD. 00:21:42.30\00:21:49.46 Be sure to request offer #10 that number again 00:21:50.20\00:21:53.26 is 1-866-503-3531. Here is another story of 00:21:53.26\00:22:00.63 hope from Adventist World Radio. Kaluram was a 00:22:00.63\00:22:04.66 poor field labor near Gujarat in India finding 00:22:04.66\00:22:07.93 his work tedious, Kalu purchased a small radio 00:22:07.93\00:22:10.93 to relieve the boredom. One day, he came across 00:22:10.93\00:22:13.90 the program talking about Jesus. It was from 00:22:13.90\00:22:16.56 Adventist World Radio. After listening for few days, 00:22:16.56\00:22:19.46 Kalu looked for a pastor who could tell him more 00:22:19.46\00:22:22.50 about Christ. Soon convinced of the Christian 00:22:22.50\00:22:25.26 truth Kalu was baptized and became an outreach 00:22:25.26\00:22:28.70 leader in his hometown and the surrounding area 00:22:28.70\00:22:31.36 witnessing in predominantly Hindu towns is not 00:22:31.36\00:22:34.60 always safe, and Kalu was once attacked when 00:22:34.60\00:22:37.43 approaching a town to preach. However through 00:22:37.43\00:22:40.56 the efforts of Kalu and the volunteers he has trained 00:22:40.56\00:22:43.56 nearly one thousand people have accepted Christ. 00:22:43.56\00:22:46.93 Adventist World Radio shares the hope of Christ 00:22:48.20\00:22:51.30 with millions of people everyday. 00:22:51.30\00:22:53.70 For more information visit awr.org. 00:22:53.70\00:22:58.16 It's really strange, really interesting to hear a 00:23:03.66\00:23:07.40 story like this because one moment you are the 00:23:07.40\00:23:09.86 leader of the church, now you are kicked out, 00:23:09.86\00:23:11.80 but you don't get discouraged, instead you go get 00:23:11.80\00:23:15.10 baptized. It just seems like you know what's God 00:23:15.10\00:23:18.43 doing in your heart. I couldn't feel discouraged 00:23:18.43\00:23:21.66 because I knew God was working in my life. 00:23:21.66\00:23:24.56 What led you to baptism, did you also hear that on 00:23:25.26\00:23:28.33 the radio, and was that part of your studies? 00:23:28.33\00:23:31.20 Yes, I have heard about baptism on the radio. 00:23:32.06\00:23:35.30 In what year were you baptized? 00:23:36.40\00:23:37.56 I was baptized on 22nd of December 2001. 00:23:38.90\00:23:42.60 You were the first one to listen to AWR in this village. 00:23:43.73\00:23:46.43 Are there any other people now who listen 00:23:46.43\00:23:47.90 to the programs? Some people here have 00:23:47.90\00:23:51.36 radios and they listen to Adventist World Radio. 00:23:51.36\00:23:55.06 What programs do they like the best on AWR? 00:23:55.70\00:23:57.90 The health, education, farming, and preaching 00:23:59.06\00:24:02.33 programs are all very popular. 00:24:02.33\00:24:04.43 How would your life be different today if you never 00:24:05.23\00:24:07.83 accidentally as we say found the first program? 00:24:07.83\00:24:11.00 I would still be committed to God even if I had not 00:24:13.46\00:24:16.76 listened to AWR. So I have the same desire for God, 00:24:16.76\00:24:21.10 but Adventist World Radio has given me a direction. 00:24:21.10\00:24:24.33 So in another words it gave you a new direction in life. 00:24:24.33\00:24:27.76 That's correct AWR gave me a new life. 00:24:29.16\00:24:32.53 What would you tell other people about may be they 00:24:33.66\00:24:37.13 don't believe in God as much as you, maybe they 00:24:37.13\00:24:39.96 haven't experience that fire that I think you have, 00:24:39.96\00:24:42.70 what would you want to share with people, 00:24:43.76\00:24:45.56 what do you share with people about telling them 00:24:45.56\00:24:48.13 to believe in God. There is still hope even 00:24:48.13\00:24:53.20 for those like me who are being kicked out of a church. 00:24:53.40\00:24:56.03 I am still standing believing, praising, and sharing, 00:24:56.86\00:25:00.73 I know God is working in our lives. 00:25:01.66\00:25:03.60 Brother I want to thank you so much for your 00:25:05.16\00:25:07.76 love of God, and your faith in him, and your steady 00:25:07.76\00:25:11.30 perseverance. Emmanuel of course, 00:25:11.30\00:25:21.26 who built the church was just telling me that three 00:25:21.26\00:25:23.56 times a year I guess they get to see a pastor 00:25:23.56\00:25:25.86 that's it. A shepherd only comes in and unfortunately 00:25:25.86\00:25:29.10 right now his radio is broken, so he doesn't even 00:25:29.10\00:25:30.90 get to the sermons for AWR at the moment. 00:25:30.90\00:25:33.33 But his son Isaiah wants to be a pastor. 00:25:34.00\00:25:36.40 I think it's all fantastic that we want to write now, 00:25:37.40\00:25:40.00 we are going to have a prayer for this young man, 00:25:40.00\00:25:42.03 for the people of this village that God can bless them, 00:25:42.03\00:25:44.73 hopefully bring them another radio, 00:25:44.73\00:25:46.33 and get a pastor here a little more often. 00:25:46.33\00:25:48.73 Why don't we have a prayer right now, shall we. 00:25:49.90\00:25:51.63 He spend his own money, used his own time 00:25:55.30\00:25:57.60 and labor to build not a tomb, but a house of worship 00:25:57.60\00:26:00.96 designed to unselfishly guide many souls to the true 00:26:00.96\00:26:04.50 eternal afterlife. He understood the words 00:26:04.50\00:26:07.90 of Jesus found in Luke 12:34 "For where your 00:26:07.90\00:26:11.33 treasure is, there will your heart be also." 00:26:11.33\00:26:14.03 On the last day of creation God rested, 00:26:16.50\00:26:18.76 he called it the Sabbath. Jesus kept the Sabbath also. 00:26:18.76\00:26:23.26 In fact he called himself the Lord of the Sabbath. 00:26:23.26\00:26:27.16 Emmanuel the man in our story today discovered 00:26:28.23\00:26:30.90 the wonderful, beautiful truth of the Sabbath 00:26:31.73\00:26:33.80 through listening to AWR programs, and in this 00:26:33.80\00:26:37.10 world of busyness and stress, the Sabbath is a 00:26:37.10\00:26:40.43 wonderful gift to give us a break, and enable us to 00:26:40.43\00:26:44.10 commune with our God.
