Hey, once you come along with us right now 00:00:13.10\00:00:14.70 we're going to into enter the state of Leo Tolstoy. 00:00:14.70\00:00:17.90 Tolstoy, the Russian, you might remember 00:00:17.90\00:00:19.90 who virtually changed history, 00:00:19.90\00:00:23.06 find out how? 00:00:23.06\00:00:24.40 The village right here over my left shoulder 00:00:56.76\00:00:59.06 is the village that was here 00:00:59.06\00:01:00.46 during the time of Leo Tolstoy. 00:01:00.46\00:01:02.63 His whole state apparently surrounded 00:01:02.63\00:01:05.00 this particular area, in this particular village. 00:01:05.00\00:01:07.06 A couple other things 00:01:11.26\00:01:12.26 that are exciting to me here is Tolstoy's tomb. 00:01:12.26\00:01:14.83 Now it may sound funny to you, 00:01:14.83\00:01:16.06 but I like graveyards, 00:01:16.06\00:01:17.10 so we're going to check that out 00:01:17.10\00:01:18.20 in a minute, but first. 00:01:18.20\00:01:19.80 I want to check out the green house. 00:01:19.80\00:01:21.50 So let's go and check out the green house. 00:01:21.50\00:01:25.06 Well, the best laid plants, 00:01:25.06\00:01:27.13 we're locked out of the green house area 00:01:27.13\00:01:28.80 I can't get in, but let's check out over the fence, 00:01:28.80\00:01:31.56 looks like a pretty area. 00:01:31.56\00:01:33.13 I sure wish you could be here, 00:01:56.00\00:01:57.26 I mean, it is wonderful, 00:01:57.26\00:01:59.53 the ground cover is phenomenal, 00:01:59.53\00:02:02.26 the trees, the oaks are huge. 00:02:02.26\00:02:05.46 The birds over here are just absolutely phenomenal, 00:02:05.46\00:02:08.70 I mean this place is gorgeous. 00:02:08.70\00:02:11.26 Maybe a little hard on camera to see, 00:02:22.83\00:02:24.70 but these trees are intertwine, 00:02:24.70\00:02:26.76 they call it the love trees. 00:02:26.76\00:02:29.03 Couples come from all around, 00:02:29.03\00:02:30.73 it's been tradition I guess for a long time 00:02:30.73\00:02:32.46 and they cast money at the base of the tree. 00:02:32.46\00:02:35.00 They make their wish that their lives 00:02:35.00\00:02:36.70 might be intertwine forever. 00:02:36.70\00:02:38.90 Hey, for those of us who can't figured out, 00:03:06.63\00:03:08.46 this is the big pond. 00:03:08.46\00:03:12.93 Yasnaya Polyana meaning "Clear Glade" 00:03:12.93\00:03:15.70 was the home of an own Russian family of nobility. 00:03:15.70\00:03:18.90 On August 28, 1828, 00:03:18.90\00:03:21.13 Leo Tolstoy, was born at the state 00:03:21.13\00:03:23.33 and was destined to change the world. 00:03:23.33\00:03:25.96 The Tolstoy's were connected to the grandest families 00:03:25.96\00:03:28.53 of Russian aristocracy and as such Leo was born 00:03:28.53\00:03:31.73 into a life of privilege. 00:03:31.73\00:03:33.66 In 1844, Tolstoy began to study 00:03:33.66\00:03:36.33 law and oriental languages at Kazan University. 00:03:36.33\00:03:39.90 However his teachers labeled him as both 00:03:39.90\00:03:41.76 unwilling and unable to learn. 00:03:41.76\00:03:44.76 He found no meaning in the studies of the university 00:03:44.76\00:03:47.43 and left in midterm. 00:03:47.43\00:03:49.33 Early in his life, he developed 00:03:49.33\00:03:50.60 insatiable thirst for rational 00:03:50.60\00:03:52.83 and moral justification of life. 00:03:52.83\00:03:55.60 He couldn't understand why there was 00:03:55.60\00:03:57.03 such a difference in the life he lived 00:03:57.03\00:03:59.26 and the life of the peasants 00:03:59.26\00:04:00.43 that surrounded the family state. 00:04:00.43\00:04:04.66 It's exciting to think, 00:04:04.66\00:04:06.06 Tolstoy walked on the bridge just like this. 00:04:06.06\00:04:09.13 Matter of fact, they have redone this bridge 00:04:09.13\00:04:11.30 over and over to keep in its original condition. 00:04:11.30\00:04:14.66 But Tolstoy, the man who changed 00:04:14.66\00:04:16.43 so much of the world who had a huge influence 00:04:16.43\00:04:20.53 on Christianity walked this barge bridge. 00:04:20.53\00:04:25.70 Tolstoy was never satisfied 00:04:25.70\00:04:27.73 and was disillusioned by the materialistic 00:04:27.73\00:04:29.76 and selfish bourgeois class. 00:04:29.76\00:04:32.10 In 1859, he started the school for the peasants. 00:04:32.10\00:04:35.96 Tolstoy felt, he didn't deserve 00:04:35.96\00:04:37.60 the wealth into which he was born. 00:04:37.60\00:04:39.73 He was known to bring vagrants to his state 00:04:39.73\00:04:41.93 that he felt needed a helping hand 00:04:41.93\00:04:44.03 and was very generous to beggars 00:04:44.03\00:04:46.00 handing out large sums of money. 00:04:46.00\00:04:48.36 Tolstoy was a torched man guilty of being 00:04:48.36\00:04:50.96 born in noble while so many were born peasants 00:04:50.96\00:04:54.06 with no hope of education or advancement. 00:04:54.06\00:04:56.43 On the property is a beautiful old school. 00:04:59.43\00:05:02.06 The grounds are gorgeous, the balcony everything. 00:05:02.06\00:05:05.30 This school was provided by Tolstoy for his peasants, 00:05:05.30\00:05:09.56 they take care of all the property. 00:05:09.56\00:05:11.16 Now that was an extremely rare thing, 00:05:11.16\00:05:13.56 because during his time 00:05:13.56\00:05:14.70 you could kill your peasant with no problem, 00:05:14.70\00:05:17.50 wasn't against the law. 00:05:17.50\00:05:18.80 But he provided school for them, 00:05:18.80\00:05:20.96 he provided healthcare, he provided education, 00:05:20.96\00:05:24.83 phenomenal thing for a man of his time. 00:05:24.83\00:05:28.03 At one point Tolstoy began to attract 00:05:28.03\00:05:29.93 disciples in the following. 00:05:29.93\00:05:32.00 People began to refer to them as Tolstoyans. 00:05:32.00\00:05:34.93 Their religious views were based 00:05:34.93\00:05:36.26 on rigorous study of the gospels of Jesus 00:05:36.26\00:05:38.80 particularly the Sermon on the Mount. 00:05:38.80\00:05:41.26 However their view of Jesus Christ was that 00:05:41.26\00:05:43.40 He was spiritually guided human being 00:05:43.40\00:05:45.63 rather than the Son of God. 00:05:45.63\00:05:48.30 In the 1930s the Tolstoyans were routinely rounded up 00:05:48.30\00:05:51.66 by Stalin and sent to labor camps. 00:05:51.66\00:05:54.60 Tolstoy himself was a rationalist. 00:05:54.60\00:05:57.03 He held the view that reason was 00:05:57.03\00:05:58.60 the source of knowledge or justification. 00:05:58.60\00:06:00.90 However by the time he wrote his most famous work 00:06:00.90\00:06:03.53 War and Peace, his philosophy was undergoing to change. 00:06:03.53\00:06:08.03 He confessed that one should live 00:06:08.03\00:06:10.46 so as to have the best for oneself and one family. 00:06:10.46\00:06:13.76 This shift continued until he believed that 00:06:13.76\00:06:15.96 you had little control over your own life 00:06:15.96\00:06:18.23 much less the lives of others. 00:06:18.23\00:06:20.96 Finally, in 1901, 00:06:20.96\00:06:22.46 the Orthodox Church excommunicated him, 00:06:22.46\00:06:24.90 even though he had been public knowledge 00:06:24.90\00:06:26.60 for many years that his thoughts on life 00:06:26.60\00:06:28.83 and religion had nothing in common with the church. 00:06:28.83\00:06:32.46 Standing here at Tolstoy's home, 00:06:32.46\00:06:35.80 I look around at the grounds and the beauty. 00:06:35.80\00:06:39.06 Russia itself is truly a beautiful country, 00:06:39.06\00:06:41.33 you are in the cities of Moscow 00:06:41.33\00:06:43.53 and Saint Petersburg, congestion, fumes, 00:06:43.53\00:06:47.46 but you get out here in the country 00:06:47.46\00:06:48.86 and it's absolutely spectacular. 00:06:48.86\00:06:50.56 The sound of the birds are beautiful, 00:06:50.56\00:06:52.90 the water, it must have been 00:06:52.90\00:06:55.10 a tremendous inspiration to him 00:06:55.10\00:06:56.63 as he came here to write. 00:06:56.63\00:06:58.03 As a man of privilege, he divided his time 00:07:03.03\00:07:05.03 between Moscow and Yasnaya Polyana. 00:07:05.03\00:07:07.40 He also spent time between 1856, and 1861, 00:07:09.60\00:07:13.43 traveling throughout Europe. 00:07:13.43\00:07:15.16 In September of 1862, he was married for the second time 00:07:18.73\00:07:22.40 to Sophia Andreevna Behrs with whom he had 12 children, 00:07:22.40\00:07:26.93 five of which died in childhood. 00:07:26.93\00:07:28.93 The loss of children and even the mother 00:07:31.50\00:07:33.33 in child birth was not uncommon during that era. 00:07:33.33\00:07:36.43 Tolstoy was in good health for his age, 00:08:04.66\00:08:06.56 but in 1901, he became very ill 00:08:06.56\00:08:09.10 and left his beloved Yasnaya Polyana. 00:08:09.10\00:08:12.33 He was personally oppressed by the dichotomy 00:08:12.33\00:08:14.63 of his preaching of communism and easy life he led. 00:08:14.63\00:08:19.30 His life was one of guilt, because he had so much 00:08:19.30\00:08:22.06 and saw others with so little. 00:08:22.06\00:08:24.30 Finally in his wanderings away from Yasnaya Polyana, 00:08:24.30\00:08:27.10 he stopped at the convent 00:08:27.10\00:08:28.86 where his sister was the mother superior. 00:08:28.86\00:08:31.56 There he died on November 20, 1910. 00:08:31.56\00:08:35.16 He was buried in simple peasant's grave 00:08:35.16\00:08:37.20 in the woods 500 yards from his family home. 00:08:37.20\00:08:40.50 He died in November of 1910. 00:08:40.50\00:08:42.60 He was laid in this beautiful serene place. 00:08:42.60\00:08:45.56 But he was not a man of serenity himself, 00:08:45.56\00:08:48.46 because he created ripples around the world 00:08:48.46\00:08:50.93 by his writing, by his lifestyle 00:08:50.93\00:08:52.80 and everything he did including on his deathbed. 00:08:52.80\00:08:55.93 He spoke directly to the Russian Orthodox Church 00:08:55.93\00:08:58.86 saying these words. 00:08:58.86\00:09:00.73 "Though I walk through the valley 00:09:00.73\00:09:01.93 of the shadow of death" 00:09:01.93\00:09:03.53 two plus two does not equal six. 00:09:03.53\00:09:06.50 He was not a man 00:09:06.50\00:09:07.80 who was in love with the Orthodox Church. 00:09:07.80\00:09:10.23 Tolstoy was looking for peace and happiness. 00:09:46.43\00:09:49.63 He didn't really find it. 00:09:49.63\00:09:51.90 She is dying of cancer, 00:09:51.90\00:09:53.83 but yet threw a myriad of miracles 00:09:53.83\00:09:56.70 she found her peace and happiness. 00:09:56.70\00:09:58.83 Here is another story of hope from Adventist World Radio. 00:10:03.03\00:10:07.56 Four years ago, I married a man 00:10:07.56\00:10:09.33 who claimed to be the Prophet of God. 00:10:09.33\00:10:11.76 However he failed to care for the needs of our family 00:10:11.76\00:10:14.83 and eventually left me while I was pregnant. 00:10:14.83\00:10:17.93 A short time later he returned saying 00:10:17.93\00:10:19.76 he had a revelation that I was committing adultery 00:10:19.76\00:10:22.80 and he tried to force me to confess that charges. 00:10:22.80\00:10:25.96 I will do no such thing 00:10:25.96\00:10:27.86 to even cause much trouble in my life. 00:10:27.86\00:10:30.23 The programs of Adventist World Radio 00:10:30.23\00:10:32.36 have helped me to cope with these difficulties. 00:10:32.36\00:10:35.33 I'm writing asking you to pray for myself 00:10:35.33\00:10:37.66 and my two children as we reconcile this problem. 00:10:37.66\00:10:40.93 Adventist World Radio shares the hope of Christ 00:12:25.76\00:12:28.90 For 28 years. 00:12:28.90\00:12:30.80 And you told me you work not far from here. 00:12:30.80\00:12:33.46 I started working for the railroad, 00:12:33.46\00:12:36.16 when I was still a student. 00:12:36.16\00:12:38.26 I worked for the railroad all my life. 00:12:38.26\00:12:40.86 And what did you do at the railroad? 00:12:40.86\00:12:42.70 I finished my education at the university, 00:12:45.86\00:12:48.70 but I started work at the bottom 00:12:48.70\00:12:51.73 and I worked my way up. 00:12:51.73\00:12:55.23 For your life, what were you 00:12:55.23\00:12:58.23 as far as during the time of communism, 00:12:58.23\00:13:00.20 where you an atheist, or an agnostic, 00:13:00.20\00:13:02.30 or where you a Christian? 00:13:02.30\00:13:03.33 I can't say I was atheist, because my parents 00:13:06.06\00:13:09.73 and grandparents were Baptist Christians. 00:13:09.73\00:13:12.86 I wasn't a Baptist, I was living 00:13:12.86\00:13:15.03 during the time of Soviet Union 00:13:15.03\00:13:16.86 by their rules like all other young people. 00:13:16.86\00:13:21.13 So, you really had no belief in your life? 00:13:22.66\00:13:25.50 I wasn't a strong believer, 00:13:25.50\00:13:27.06 but I can't say I was an atheist either. 00:13:27.06\00:13:31.20 At what time in your life 00:13:31.20\00:13:32.70 did you change, what happened? 00:13:32.70\00:13:36.00 Everything changed when my mother died. 00:13:36.00\00:13:39.13 She always said that 00:13:39.13\00:13:40.63 if you are not going to come to God, 00:13:40.63\00:13:43.26 He is going to make you come to Him 00:13:43.26\00:13:46.00 exactly what she said happened through my sickness. 00:13:46.00\00:13:50.16 Now you say through your sickness? 00:13:50.16\00:13:53.53 It was swallowing me, 00:13:53.53\00:13:55.20 it was a very serious sickness 00:13:55.20\00:13:57.70 and this sickness would scare anyone around me. 00:13:57.70\00:14:01.13 If you don't mind, 00:14:11.10\00:14:12.13 would you share with me more about your sickness? 00:14:12.13\00:14:16.36 I didn't feel sick and I continue working, 00:14:16.36\00:14:19.86 but the doctors are watching me closely. 00:14:19.86\00:14:24.80 You actually were diagnosed with cancer, 00:14:24.80\00:14:27.86 how did that diagnosis affect you mentally? 00:14:27.86\00:14:33.76 After my first surgery in 1985, 00:14:33.76\00:14:37.13 I was diagnosed with the cancer, 00:14:37.13\00:14:39.80 but they were not sure, I was scared to death. 00:14:39.80\00:14:43.36 I didn't know if I could believe them or not? 00:14:43.36\00:14:46.60 But they said cancer and that was a big shock. 00:14:46.60\00:14:50.53 So the doctors diagnosed you with cancer, 00:14:54.13\00:14:57.00 what did they say about it? 00:14:57.00\00:14:58.00 Did they give you a time? 00:14:58.00\00:15:00.06 I did eight rounds of chemotherapy. 00:15:00.06\00:15:03.40 Where you okay? 00:15:03.40\00:15:06.86 They were checking me 00:15:06.86\00:15:07.83 all the time because after chemo, 00:15:07.83\00:15:10.36 it could either help me or kill me, 00:15:10.36\00:15:13.20 that's why no one waits for a good result. 00:15:13.20\00:15:16.40 In 1991, the cancer returned and I had another surgery. 00:15:16.40\00:15:21.60 Later, I was on a disability for a whole year. 00:15:21.60\00:15:25.43 After one year, they cancel my disability 00:15:25.43\00:15:28.13 like my cancer never exist, 00:15:28.13\00:15:30.83 but my sickness came back every six years. 00:15:30.83\00:15:35.36 So during this time, 00:15:35.36\00:15:36.50 what was your mental condition 00:15:36.50\00:15:38.00 going through all these? 00:15:38.00\00:15:39.53 It was a horrible time, 00:15:43.16\00:15:44.60 because I didn't believe in God 00:15:44.60\00:15:47.00 and was alone and scared. 00:15:47.00\00:15:49.30 At that same time, 00:15:49.30\00:15:50.90 I remember that my mother said, 00:15:50.90\00:15:53.20 everything was horrible mess in my life. 00:15:53.20\00:15:56.36 I got passed this mess and begin to work down 00:16:05.43\00:16:08.53 a new road with the God. 00:16:08.53\00:16:11.10 Now I saw that my soul was empty 00:16:11.10\00:16:14.10 and if I die soon, 00:16:14.10\00:16:15.93 I will stand before God as my judge. 00:16:15.93\00:16:19.53 I understand your condition is terminal. 00:16:19.53\00:16:21.93 I felt pretty healthy and month or two ago, 00:16:26.80\00:16:30.40 I was attending church, I was walking 00:16:30.40\00:16:33.46 and doing all my house work, 00:16:33.46\00:16:35.80 and now I'm sick again. 00:16:35.80\00:16:39.70 There are so many people around the world 00:16:39.70\00:16:43.73 that have cancer, that have great problems, 00:16:43.73\00:16:49.16 but you have one of the greatest really, 00:16:49.16\00:16:53.00 it sounds like doctors haven't 00:16:53.00\00:16:54.40 given you a long time, 00:16:54.40\00:16:55.96 but please share with people, what gives you hope? 00:16:55.96\00:17:00.83 All my strength I get from God, 00:17:05.30\00:17:08.10 it doesn't matter whether you are sick or healthy, 00:17:08.10\00:17:11.93 because we all stand before God 00:17:11.93\00:17:14.30 and all my friends who were healthy have already died, 00:17:14.30\00:17:18.26 but I am sick and still alive. 00:17:18.26\00:17:20.66 That's why any doctor diagnoses 00:17:20.66\00:17:23.23 shouldn't scare anyone. 00:17:23.23\00:17:25.06 Only one thing can scare you 00:17:25.06\00:17:26.86 and that is how you are going to stand before God. 00:17:26.86\00:17:30.86 Here is another story of hope from Adventist World Radio. 00:17:33.53\00:17:37.93 Kaluram was a poor field laborer 00:17:37.93\00:17:40.16 near Gujarat in India, finding his work tedious, 00:17:40.16\00:17:43.60 Kalu purchased a small radio to relieve the boredom. 00:17:43.60\00:17:47.06 One day, he came across a program 00:17:47.06\00:17:48.80 talking about Jesus, it was from Adventist World Radio. 00:17:48.80\00:17:52.60 After listening for a few days, 00:17:52.60\00:17:54.36 Kalu looked for a pastor 00:17:54.36\00:17:55.76 who could tell him more about Christ. 00:17:55.76\00:17:58.13 Soon convinced of the Christian truth, 00:17:58.13\00:18:00.36 Kalu was baptized and became an outreach leader 00:18:00.36\00:18:03.50 in his hometown and the surrounding area. 00:18:03.50\00:18:06.36 Witnessing in predominantly 00:18:06.36\00:18:07.80 Hindu towns is not always safe 00:18:07.80\00:18:10.00 and Kalu was once attacked 00:18:10.00\00:18:11.66 when approaching a town to preach. 00:18:11.66\00:18:13.96 However, through the efforts of Kalu 00:18:13.96\00:18:16.06 and the volunteers he has trained 00:18:16.06\00:18:18.03 nearly 1,000 people have accepted Christ. 00:18:18.03\00:18:22.36 Adventist World Radio shares the hope of Christ 00:18:22.36\00:18:26.06 with millions of people everyday. 00:18:26.06\00:18:28.80 For more information, visit awr.org. 00:18:28.80\00:18:32.76 Through the radio wave of AWR, 00:19:27.36\00:19:32.83 Tell me more about this, 00:20:22.93\00:20:23.90 what happened in your life spiritually? 00:20:23.90\00:20:25.90 My mother and I used to attend Baptist house churches 00:20:29.60\00:20:33.03 while she was alive. 00:20:33.03\00:20:34.83 She used to read the Bible to me 00:20:34.83\00:20:37.00 and talk about Saturdays 00:20:37.00\00:20:38.96 and it did not say anything about Sunday. 00:20:38.96\00:20:42.56 My mother was uneducated, 00:20:42.56\00:20:44.66 she could read, but couldn't write. 00:20:44.66\00:20:47.53 She said I can understand 00:20:47.53\00:20:50.13 why we celebrate Sunday instead of Saturday 00:20:50.13\00:20:53.60 and those words stay in my mind. 00:20:53.60\00:20:57.63 So at a point now if I understand 00:20:57.63\00:20:59.70 this correctly, you lost your mother, 00:20:59.70\00:21:03.86 you've got a terrible disease 00:21:03.86\00:21:06.46 that apparently is incurable. 00:21:06.46\00:21:10.46 But yet God uses all this to bring you to Him. 00:21:10.46\00:21:13.33 I think that is right. 00:21:18.13\00:21:20.13 She's not a young person, 00:21:20.13\00:21:22.10 but she is a little bit younger than me. 00:21:22.10\00:21:24.50 She live in Athabasca village were there Adventist Church. 00:21:24.50\00:21:28.50 I didn't know about this church. 00:21:28.50\00:21:30.20 She came to visit her mother and we start talking, 00:21:42.86\00:21:46.40 she explained me about Saturday 00:21:46.40\00:21:48.96 and the Sabbath and invite me to her church. 00:21:48.96\00:21:52.83 She invite me to church in special day 00:21:52.83\00:21:55.50 when there are going to be visitors from America. 00:21:55.50\00:21:58.43 That is were I learned everything about the Sabbath. 00:22:05.60\00:22:09.80 It was really important, 00:22:09.80\00:22:11.50 because I had never learned about the Sabbath. 00:22:11.50\00:22:14.80 I knew God existed, but I knew nothing about him, 00:22:14.80\00:22:19.06 that's why I was so thirsty to learn 00:22:19.06\00:22:21.86 and I begin to correspondence school. 00:22:21.86\00:22:24.73 Now, I attend church every week. 00:22:24.73\00:22:27.60 Bless you. Yes, God bless you. 00:23:16.13\00:23:19.03 and we wish you all the very best for you 00:23:19.03\00:23:20.70 and we will remember you forever. 00:23:20.70\00:23:23.06 What would you like to say to all those people 00:23:37.26\00:23:39.20 who maybe watching today 00:23:39.20\00:23:41.00 and they don't know Jesus Christ like you do? 00:23:41.00\00:23:43.56 What would you like to tell them? 00:23:43.56\00:23:45.16 My advice is to come to Jesus, 00:23:50.26\00:23:53.06 He's given me strength and health 00:23:53.06\00:23:55.10 and He is the only one that can give you a long life, 00:23:55.10\00:23:59.33 everything in His hands, just believe in Him, 00:23:59.33\00:24:02.83 because in your own strength you can do nothing. 00:24:02.83\00:24:06.96 Doesn't matter what your sickness is, 00:24:06.96\00:24:09.73 small or serious, you cannot live without God. 00:24:09.73\00:24:14.80 Zoya, you're a courageous woman 00:24:14.80\00:24:17.46 and I know that it took a lot of strength 00:24:17.46\00:24:19.30 to even be here with us today. 00:24:19.30\00:24:21.26 I understand the doctors actually gave you a diagnosis 00:24:21.26\00:24:24.33 that you would be dead already. 00:24:24.33\00:24:26.10 Yes, the doctors told my relatives 00:24:28.83\00:24:31.33 to get ready for my funeral, because I was going to die. 00:24:31.33\00:24:36.03 Every single test they did show that I was dying, 00:24:36.03\00:24:40.33 only a miracle can save me. 00:24:40.33\00:24:42.43 I have a brother living in Moscow. 00:24:42.43\00:24:44.96 He is a Christian, 00:24:44.96\00:24:46.33 and he asked his church to pray for me 00:24:46.33\00:24:49.33 for 35 days I was in intensive care, 00:24:49.33\00:24:52.90 but God saved me 00:24:52.90\00:24:54.50 and put me on my feet again. 00:24:54.50\00:24:56.73 In our show today, we had two individuals 00:24:59.36\00:25:02.80 each of them seeking something better in life 00:25:02.80\00:25:06.06 than what they already had. 00:25:06.06\00:25:08.00 Tolstoy on the one hand 00:25:08.00\00:25:09.63 was seeking better community life, 00:25:09.63\00:25:13.30 a better way of life, more justice. 00:25:13.30\00:25:16.93 On the other hand, Zoya, was looking for God 00:25:16.93\00:25:20.40 and especially when she got sick, 00:25:20.40\00:25:23.00 she wanted to know God and bring God into her life, 00:25:23.00\00:25:27.93 so she could have peace of mind. 00:25:27.93\00:25:29.93 Both of them were hoping for something better. 00:25:29.93\00:25:33.10 And that's what Adventist World Radio 00:25:33.10\00:25:34.73 really is all about, is to bring hope to people's lives. 00:25:34.73\00:25:39.70 In the Psalms it says, 00:25:39.70\00:25:41.76 "He who trust and hopes in God will never be ashamed." 00:25:41.76\00:25:46.70 And that certainly the case, 00:25:46.70\00:25:48.40 because Adventist World Radio is seeking to bring hope 00:25:48.40\00:25:51.40 from person to person, from village to village, 00:25:51.40\00:25:54.20 from country to country. 00:25:54.20\00:25:56.03 Wouldn't you like to join us 00:25:56.03\00:25:57.96 in our work of sharing hope with people around the world? 00:25:57.96\00:26:01.73 If you like to know more 00:26:01.73\00:26:02.73 about the mission of Adventist World Radio, 00:26:02.73\00:26:04.80 give us a call, the number is 866-503-3531. 00:26:04.80\00:26:09.76 If you would like to write us 00:26:09.76\00:26:11.06 do so at 12501 Old Columbia Pike, 00:26:11.06\00:26:14.40 Silver Spring, Maryland, 20904 00:26:14.40\00:26:17.86 or if you like to check a site on the web, 00:26:17.86\00:26:19.50 you can do that at www.awr.org. 00:26:19.50\00:26:24.53 And thank you for watching, 00:26:24.53\00:26:26.10 please join us again 00:26:26.10\00:26:27.10 for another exciting gospel adventure, 00:26:27.10\00:26:29.06 because around the world AWR is making waves. 00:26:29.06\00:26:33.43
