We try to help them with that

women are actually doing.

And I think the first place

about is Netherlands.

And, you know, Europe
is a kind of a tough place.

Western Europe,

but what our sisters
are doing in Netherlands

because of the
fact that so many people

don't even think about
God or going to church,

we are focusing on
what do people like?

What do our women
in our community like?

And, you know, Netherlands
is the place of flowers.

Gardening is a big thing
there, as well as crafts.

And so our women
actually use their homes

who keep meticulous gardens,

those kinds of events.

And then I think of
South America Division, Brazil,

this month of October
is Cancer Awareness Month.

Well, you know,
in Brazil last year,

what they're gonna do this year,

but last year, they actually,

1,300 women went out
on the streets on bicycles

in their pink
T-shirts with men on bicycles.

Can you imagine 1,300
bicycles going down the road

with the breast
cancer awareness on it,

and they gave out pamphlets.

And I thought that was
just such an amazing thing

to reach out to
the community at large.

Now I like a
couple of things you said.

One was, you
know, making friends.

You know, one of
the things we talk about

is Christ method of ministry,

the first step is
mingling, you know, and then

talks about this
holistic mission.

And I really like
that, the other thing is that

you said is
people finding things

that were are sort of
in their interest already

within their comfort zone.

I think sometimes people
think this is what I have to do.

thing I want to do,

And you can use your gifts

We wanted to
touch people's lives,

and also help our
sisters realize that outreach

was not just
preaching and Bible study

and having a small group.

What if I'm not
comfortable doing that,

then I don't do anything.

And that's what we found,
most women were doing nothing.

And there's a place for that.

And some people
have that gift. Yes.

And sometimes God does
want us to push ourselves.

And I know when I tried to teach

a Sabbath School
class, I was blessed because

I was really
getting into things.

So people should push

but they should also
start where they're comfortable.

That's right. And then move on.

So what are the
things are happening

Well, I think of
Sao Tome, and Sao Tome

is an island off the
coast of Southern Africa.

International Day of Prayer,

which is the first

I mean, sorry, first

That's the day when
we emphasize prayers.

They pray every day,

but this is our
World International Day

where we send out a sermon
and seminars and it was March,

first Sabbath of March.

The ladies decided not
only were they gonna pray,

but they were going
to include action in that

and so during the weeks

before they
were collecting soaps

and toothpastes and,

you know, little
toilet paper rolls

because in the
hospitals in some countries,

when you come to the hospital,

you aren't
supplied with anything.

You got to bring everything,

including your own
bed sheets sometimes.

And so that Sabbath
afternoon of our day of prayer,

they packed all
these boxes into the cars

and the women went
to the maternity ward

at the hospital
in the city there.

And they gave these out
to the women who were there.

And I thought that was wonderful

because sometimes we
think I'm gonna pray,

but, you know,
prayer is not enough

if there's no action.

I could pray all I want

and ask God to
win all the souls,

willing to get involved,

because action without prayer

One girl stood out to him,

and after the meeting
he introduced himself.

I didn't tell her
about my bad past,

and I started
praying to impress her.

We were married soon after,

but instead of
marriage and a beautiful wife

fixing my
problems, things got worse.

Tisholavo had a criminal record

which caught up to him,

found guilty of murder,

the most wanted list.

Realizing his situation,

These words brought a
glimmer of hope to his heart.

Though the church

My past began to haunt

and pray together.
