This was Stalin's birthplace
and where he was raised.

Stalin was at first known

for having
received a good education

and unfortunately later,

he became a dictator
of this whole country,

stories about Stalin.

And history tells us that
he killed a lot of people,

especially those
who believed in God.

This was a form of suppression
and hatred against religion.

One of the stories about Stalin

involves my
very own grandfather.

It happened in the 1930's,

when my grandfather
was in the SARS service

in Kiev, Ukraine in
Cherkasy Oblast territory.

My grandfather was a devout
and faithful servant of God.

He did not own a
car, not even a bicycle.

He often traveled on foot,

walking hundreds of kilometers

in order to visit
different groups of believers.

My grandfather wanted
to teach the Word of God

Sometimes he and his colleagues
held communion service

There was no time to waste.

from place to place,

people as possible.

and when they arrived
there at a specific place,

pronounced against them.

Against all of those who
refused to bear a weapon.

There were Baptists,

Adventists and my grandfather

Seventh-day Adventist pastor.

Sadly, my grandfather
was sentenced to death.

for his refusal

It's curious that Stalin himself

signed my
grandfather's sentence.

So the soldiers could shoot him,

because of his faith,

because of his devotion to God,

These were difficult times,
