of us onto the mission field.

the mission field

and that means
working cross-culturally.

The Lord says, "Come

And so the Lord is calling you
to go on the field and reason,

reason with the people,

reason on the mission

But then as we do
that, there are challenges,

there are barriers that we
meet because every people group,

every society have
their own peculiar ways

of doing things of thinking.

They have their own
ways of looking at things,

manners and customs as well.

And so when we go
from where we come from,

we also have our own culture.

We also have our own
way of how we do things,

our own behaviors,

and there is
likely to be a clash,

the clash of
cultures, a clash of values,

even a clash of worldviews,

and so then what do we do?

That is why we as the
institute are here for you.

Now take for example,

thing like greetings,

cultures have
different way that they greet.

people stretch hands and shake.

In other cultures,

people don't

People may do like
that in other cultures,

things that we need to be aware

actually cause challenges

go on to the mission field.

So how do we then
reason missiologically

that we work amongst

so that then we can
be able to bring to them

the good news of Jesus Christ?

Even as we do
these, even as we think

of cross-cultural witnessing,
even as we think of culture,

privilege the Word of God.

The Word of God
is above culture,

but humans
operate within specific

and given cultures

and barriers that we need

Worldview is
like a set of glasses

through which we see everything.

their own set of glasses,

see, they view the world.

They think through that.

when we meet with such,

then what do we have? We
have a clash of worldviews.

to go across these cultures,

different customs and manners.

need an ethnographic mindset.
