let me tell you one more story.

of Doralyn Leloyure

In 2002 Doralyn began reading
children stories every Sunday

Vila's main radio station.

Her program became so popular
with the children that they

didn't want to go to Sunday
School. To help the parents,

she moved the
program to the afternoon.

The station gave it a
time slot free for five years.

But in 2007 they decided that
Doralyn must pay for the time.

Not able to find a sponsor,
she ended the broadcast.

But as she tells the story,

would soon be back on the air.

One day when I was driving in
town doing some custom clearance

for some container, a taxi came
by and the radio announced that

stop, so I stopped and he

and he came to the side
and told me to go come back and

I told him I haven't found a

sponsor yet. And he said,
just come back and tell stories

so I did. I said, I'll
come so I went on Sunday and

did the program. After the
program I asked him, How much

said, come back next Sunday.

next Sunday and did another hour

and then I asked him again,

The Seventh Day Adventist church
in Vanuatu operates only 5

schools. But local
churches operate about 45 more.

Now the government of Vanuatu
has been watching Adventist

education on the islands.
Recently they came to the

mission with a proposal,

If you'll take responsibility

for operating your schools
out of the mission office,

will allow you to operate those

Day Adventist and we'll pay your

teachers. But you need to
improve your school buildings.

command three times. For me, it
was simply to remind all of us

one very simple truth. Children
depend on us for support,

insight and encouragement. They
need us to be their teachers.

around schools in my life.

really special about students

shepherds. Students learn best

is known for it's academic

successful alumni. When you get
down to the very bottom line of

you discover it's all about the

Spirit of God in the teachers.
Look closely and you'll end up

your teachers. In fact we like
