August, okay. 00:02:54.04\00:02:55.84 I have to finish my duty in the conference first. 00:02:55.87\00:02:57.54 Yeah, it's a small world when you're traveling. 00:02:57.57\00:02:59.37 We're always running into people we know all over. 00:02:59.41\00:03:01.34 Good to see you. 00:03:01.38\00:03:02.31 Well, we're gonna go up there and sit down 00:03:02.34\00:03:03.48 and we'll see up there. Yes. 00:03:03.51\00:03:05.25 In about a year ago Christian Schrock 00:03:12.99\00:03:15.16 brought a team of young Swiss students 00:03:15.19\00:03:17.29 to hold evangelistic meetings 00:03:17.33\00:03:18.86 in connection with Laymen Ministries 00:03:18.89\00:03:20.53 and to help for several weeks 00:03:20.56\00:03:22.23 with Laymen Ministries academy project. 00:03:22.26\00:03:24.60 After reaching the period Abra De Log 00:03:44.29\00:03:46.59 we then took a bus to Sea Breeze 00:03:46.62\00:03:48.89 which is our mission headquarters near Mamburao. 00:03:48.92\00:03:54.00 Laymen Ministries headquarters in temporary 00:03:54.00\00:03:56.33 present truth academy is located in this building 00:03:56.36\00:03:59.17 just outside of the city of Mamburao. 00:03:59.20\00:04:03.87 I am Edith Ramos. 00:04:03.91\00:04:05.37 I came from Artacho Sison Pangasinan 00:04:05.41\00:04:08.11 in the northern part of the Philippines. 00:04:08.14\00:04:10.98 My name is Diana Baricanosa 00:04:11.01\00:04:13.68 and my friends usually call me Lenlen. 00:04:13.72\00:04:16.95 I'm 36 years old and I came from Calamba City, Laguna. 00:04:16.99\00:04:23.19 I teach Bible subject and I'll be teaching Filipino. 00:04:23.22\00:04:28.60 Sir, Bible subject is also a very big, 00:04:28.63\00:04:32.43 a very important part of the program 00:04:32.47\00:04:34.57 because that is the center 00:04:34.60\00:04:36.54 of every academic program that we have here. 00:04:36.57\00:04:39.61 I'm working here at Sea Breeze in Occidental Mindoro. 00:04:39.64\00:04:44.71 What I'm doing here is a high school teacher 00:04:44.75\00:04:49.52 and also an administrative assistant. 00:04:49.55\00:04:52.52 We have the A Beka program because it does provide 00:04:52.55\00:04:57.49 a consistency of curriculum in education. 00:04:57.53\00:05:00.63 And at the same time our students have a live teacher 00:05:00.66\00:05:07.24 that is with them in the classroom 00:05:07.27\00:05:10.37 assisting them in their education. 00:05:10.41\00:05:13.68 A Beka program they have this video 00:05:13.71\00:05:16.91 and then there's also questions, when they asked question, 00:05:16.95\00:05:21.48 it's the time-- it's the only time I will give the answers. 00:05:21.52\00:05:25.19 I play as a facilitator. 00:05:25.22\00:05:27.36 And most of the time the teachers, 00:05:27.39\00:05:29.66 the video teacher usually do the teaching 00:05:29.69\00:05:34.76 and I only facilitate the students 00:05:34.83\00:05:39.17 or if the student needs some clarifications and also, 00:05:39.20\00:05:45.27 I try to review my students as well if he understood, 00:05:45.31\00:05:53.15 or if they understand the lessons. 00:05:53.18\00:05:57.89 The A Beka program is a Christian program 00:05:57.92\00:06:01.06 and while we may not agree 00:06:01.09\00:06:04.66 with the 100 percent of the things that they do. 00:06:04.69\00:06:07.40 They do have quality teachers and quality materials. 00:06:07.46\00:06:11.70 They have a variety of teachers with different accents too 00:06:11.73\00:06:15.50 and that actually helps our students. 00:06:15.54\00:06:19.64 It helps them to learn faster or listen better, 00:06:19.67\00:06:22.88 plus, the way this program is set up, 00:06:22.91\00:06:25.78 it's like they are sitting in a classroom with a live teacher 00:06:25.81\00:06:30.79 and other students that are interacting. 00:06:30.82\00:06:33.99 So we've been very pleased with the quality of the program. 00:06:34.02\00:06:40.66 And our students have done well 00:06:40.70\00:06:42.86 whether they have studied on their own 00:06:42.90\00:06:45.23 or whether they have studied as a group. 00:06:45.27\00:06:49.67 The book education has given us a real foundation 00:06:49.70\00:06:54.94 for our instruction here. 00:06:54.98\00:06:58.35 And as the book of education points out, 00:06:58.38\00:07:02.58 the Bible really should be our first textbook. 00:07:02.62\00:07:05.35 And we've personally found that, that's absolutely correct. 00:07:05.39\00:07:09.66 When we can raise the level of understanding 00:07:09.69\00:07:12.83 so that our students can read the Bible 00:07:12.86\00:07:14.93 for themselves and understand it. 00:07:14.93\00:07:16.87 They are excited about it. 00:07:16.90\00:07:18.97 Through education these young people 00:07:19.00\00:07:21.00 or these Katutubo could have the self confidence 00:07:21.04\00:07:25.14 that they can prove to the world 00:07:25.17\00:07:27.24 that even though I am a Katutubo I'm part of this tribe, 00:07:27.28\00:07:31.38 I can do what they are doing also, 00:07:31.41\00:07:33.35 that I can also be on top where they are now. 00:07:33.38\00:07:38.25 Yes, some Filipinos or the Tagalogs, they call it. 00:07:38.29\00:07:43.49 They make fun with the Katutubos, 00:07:43.53\00:07:45.96 they call them Mangyans and they said 00:07:45.99\00:07:48.90 the Mangyans have tails, so they make fun of them. 00:07:48.93\00:07:54.87 To really understand where these Katutubo have come from, 00:07:54.90\00:07:58.17 we need to go to these mountains. 00:07:58.21\00:08:00.71 The word Katutubo simply means indigenous. 00:08:00.74\00:08:05.21 In this part of the Philippines they are the erie tribe 00:08:05.25\00:08:08.42 and are considered to be some of the most 00:08:08.45\00:08:10.19 primitive people on the planet. 00:08:10.22\00:08:12.79 They live a semi-nomadic life and are mostly uneducated. 00:08:12.82\00:08:16.99 They are shy, superstitious, animus people 00:08:17.03\00:08:20.60 often laden in filth and affected by disease. 00:08:20.63\00:08:24.47 Over the last 15 years Laymen Ministries 00:08:24.50\00:08:26.77 had brought about a great change 00:08:26.80\00:08:28.27 to many of the young people of this tribe and their villages. 00:08:28.30\00:08:32.17 My name is Angelito Taasan. 00:08:36.51\00:08:39.08 I came from the village of Pinagbayanan. 00:08:39.11\00:08:41.68 I'm 19 years old. 00:08:41.72\00:08:43.82 I'm grade 9 student of Katutubo Excel Academy. 00:08:43.85\00:08:49.46 My name is Meleth Parisan. 00:08:49.49\00:08:52.19 I am 16 years old and I come from the village-- 00:08:52.23\00:08:56.60 from the remote village of Pinagbayanan. 00:08:56.63\00:08:59.37 I'm Benjie Parisan and I am 21 years old. 00:08:59.40\00:09:02.90 I came from a remote village 00:09:02.94\00:09:05.64 Agbalite, Paluan, Occidental Mindoro. 00:09:05.67\00:09:07.91 I'm Bernie Villanueva and I'm now 17 years old 00:09:07.94\00:09:13.01 and I came from the remote village of Agbalite. 00:09:13.05\00:09:16.38 My name is BongBong Parisan Lagnaan 00:09:16.42\00:09:19.59 and I came from the village of Pinagbayanan 00:09:19.62\00:09:23.32 and now I am 19 years old. 00:09:23.36\00:09:27.40 I am Dennis Villanueva 00:09:27.40\00:09:30.10 and I came from the village of Binuangan 00:09:30.13\00:09:33.50 and I am 19 years old. 00:09:33.54\00:09:37.67 My name is Rodel Punlaan. 00:09:37.71\00:09:40.28 I am 25 years old 00:09:40.31\00:09:43.01 and I came from the village of Pinagbayanan. 00:09:43.04\00:09:46.61 There are many changes in my life 00:09:46.65\00:09:49.35 compared to my life in the village. 00:09:49.38\00:09:53.79 I can see the growth in my life especially spiritually. 00:09:53.82\00:09:59.96 Before, when I was still in the village, 00:10:00.00\00:10:03.40 I didn't read Bible, I hated reading Bible, 00:10:03.43\00:10:07.37 it seems for me that it is very boring but, 00:10:07.40\00:10:12.37 when I came to high school 00:10:12.41\00:10:15.51 I realized that it is very important. 00:10:15.54\00:10:18.48 I stayed with one of the missionary 00:10:18.51\00:10:22.02 and they teach me about the Bible 00:10:22.05\00:10:24.59 and also the superstitious belief that is not really true. 00:10:24.62\00:10:28.86 One of my favorite memory verses is found in 1 John 1:9. 00:10:28.89\00:10:36.90 "If we confess our sins 00:10:39.00\00:10:41.07 He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, 00:10:41.10\00:10:45.21 and to cleanse us from all our unrighteousness." 00:10:45.24\00:10:48.91 In Christmas time we had a short vacation 00:10:48.94\00:10:52.71 and I had done Bible study with my parents 00:10:52.75\00:10:57.99 and every Sabbath I was the one who handled the program. 00:10:58.02\00:11:03.19 The Bible had done to me to changed my life 00:11:03.22\00:11:11.23 because before I didn't know about God 00:11:12.60\00:11:16.20 and now the proof of it is that 00:11:16.24\00:11:18.97 I am sharing His love to my villagers. 00:11:19.01\00:11:26.58 When I get older I would like to go back to my village 00:11:26.61\00:11:30.55 and teach them also about God 00:11:30.59\00:11:33.89 and I would like also to help them and educating them, 00:11:33.92\00:11:39.63 so they will not be also treated by the Tagalogs there. 00:11:39.66\00:11:44.47 I am so much thankful to God that He sent people to help. 00:11:44.50\00:11:50.34 Actually, my favorite subject in school is the Bible. 00:11:50.37\00:11:56.04 Jim is taking us to see our newest grade school 00:12:00.25\00:12:03.02 located near the little village of Sulong Ipil. 00:12:03.05\00:12:06.76 Then, after a short visit at the school, 00:12:06.79\00:12:09.52 we're gonna head up to the mountain 00:12:09.56\00:12:10.96 to see the new campus of Laymen Ministries 00:12:10.99\00:12:13.09 present crew with Katutubo Academy. 00:12:13.13\00:12:15.53 We have just arrived at Laymen Ministries' newest school 00:12:48.73\00:12:52.97 in the village of Sulong Ipil. 00:12:53.00\00:12:55.94 This school has been in operation for three years 00:12:55.97\00:12:59.07 and we think you're gonna be excited 00:12:59.11\00:13:01.11 about our teachers and our students here. 00:13:01.14\00:13:04.21 Good morning, my students. 00:13:04.25\00:13:05.98 Oh. Oh, I get a double hug. 00:13:06.01\00:13:09.65 Thank you, thank you, thank you, a triple hug. 00:13:09.68\00:13:12.42 Oh, how sweet. 00:13:12.45\00:13:14.89 The human touch is very important 00:13:14.92\00:13:18.99 and even the sixth grader that finished last March 00:13:19.03\00:13:25.93 and came here in June. 00:13:25.97\00:13:27.57 When I first touched her she jumped, 00:13:27.60\00:13:31.07 she-- not all the children are the touchy kind. 00:13:31.11\00:13:35.78 So now she reaches out and touches me to 00:13:35.81\00:13:39.31 see if I noticed that somebody touched me 00:13:39.35\00:13:42.28 and so we're making a game out of it. 00:13:42.32\00:13:44.49 Did you do math this morning? 00:13:44.52\00:13:46.79 Yes or no? I didn't hear. 00:13:46.82\00:13:49.79 Brother. Bible? 00:13:49.82\00:13:52.09 Oh, how exciting. 00:13:52.13\00:13:54.83 Did you have a memory verse this morning? 00:13:54.86\00:13:57.00 Yes, yes. What was the memory verse? 00:13:57.03\00:13:59.77 (1420 indistinct ) 00:13:59.80\00:14:07.84 Oh, how wonderful. Thank you, thank you. 00:14:22.96\00:14:27.03 ( indistinct ) 00:14:27.03\00:14:33.30 Throughout the day. 00:14:33.34\00:14:34.60 Thank you for hearing our prayers and amen. 00:14:34.64\00:14:37.74 Okay, you may go to your classrooms. 00:14:37.77\00:14:40.38 My name is Boying Celestre. 00:14:40.41\00:14:43.45 And my name is Mae Celestre. 00:14:43.48\00:14:45.81 I am Mercy Jose from Mindanao. 00:14:45.85\00:14:49.02 My name is Nora and my family name is Senerser. 00:14:49.05\00:14:53.02 We are working now with Laymen Ministry. 00:14:53.05\00:14:55.39 We've been here for almost four years. 00:14:55.42\00:14:58.09 I've been working nine years now. 00:14:58.13\00:15:00.73 I've been working in Laymen Ministries for five years. 00:15:00.76\00:15:08.70 I work here in the village of Sulong Ipil. 00:15:08.74\00:15:12.04 This is my second year here 00:15:12.07\00:15:14.11 teaching students particularly higher grades. 00:15:14.14\00:15:18.08 I'm teaching grades three and four. 00:15:18.11\00:15:21.58 I'm teaching the kinders. 00:15:21.62\00:15:24.32 When we came to the village 00:15:24.35\00:15:25.95 they were also thinking that we cannot speak Tagalog. 00:15:25.99\00:15:29.09 So they tried to speak to us and entertain us in English. 00:15:29.12\00:15:32.99 And so I was so amazed with 00:15:33.03\00:15:34.83 what the Ministry was doing to them. 00:15:34.86\00:15:37.17 I was not expecting that I would see them clean 00:15:37.20\00:15:40.30 because I was thinking that they will be uncivilized. 00:15:40.34\00:15:44.87 But when we came to the village the students we served 00:15:44.91\00:15:48.01 are clean students and they know how to speak English. 00:15:48.04\00:15:52.88 I found out that education did a great part for them. 00:15:52.91\00:15:56.52 Yeah, and our education is not only teaching them in school 00:15:56.55\00:16:01.62 but how to be clean and they were filthy before, 00:16:01.66\00:16:06.23 but now because of the education or the program of the Ministry-- 00:16:06.26\00:16:11.97 there's a 360 degrees change in their lives. 00:16:12.00\00:16:15.87 The children adapt very nicely to the Bible stories 00:16:15.90\00:16:21.24 that the teachers have worship our classes, 00:16:21.28\00:16:25.35 values classes and have grown spiritually 00:16:25.38\00:16:30.29 because there is so much spiritism in the villages 00:16:30.32\00:16:34.72 that they are afraid of this and they are afraid of that 00:16:34.76\00:16:38.59 and now they know that Jesus loves them 00:16:38.63\00:16:42.60 and so that's something wonderful. 00:16:42.63\00:16:45.97 That's they have never been told that somebody loves them. 00:16:46.00\00:16:49.97 Well, in Katutubo's situation, sir, 00:16:50.01\00:16:54.74 their parents sometimes no attention to their children. 00:16:54.78\00:16:59.28 If their children are running or playing outside, 00:16:59.31\00:17:02.18 even though they're hungry 00:17:02.22\00:17:05.42 because sometimes there is no food, no eating. 00:17:05.45\00:17:09.29 Of course if you're hungry your stomach is aching. 00:17:09.32\00:17:12.79 Though they're reading sometimes there is no understanding, 00:17:12.83\00:17:16.63 and I think food is one of the factors 00:17:16.67\00:17:20.57 that affects also their learning. 00:17:20.60\00:17:23.00 I think education a big part in what happened to the villages. 00:17:23.04\00:17:27.64 This was a temporary school. 00:17:30.91\00:17:34.42 We're using this now for grade one. 00:17:34.45\00:17:38.25 But we want to tear this down 00:17:38.29\00:17:41.49 and construct the missionary house here 00:17:41.52\00:17:45.09 and then down below we'll enclose the open area 00:17:45.13\00:17:48.46 and make an additional classroom, 00:17:48.50\00:17:50.50 so that we have all the classes there 00:17:50.53\00:17:53.10 and the missionary quarters here. 00:17:53.13\00:17:57.81 Good morning. Good morning. 00:18:30.57\00:18:32.57 Nice to see you. 00:18:32.61\00:18:33.84 Yes, I thought I would get a big hug from this girl, thank you. 00:18:33.88\00:18:39.88 We've taken a different approach here in Sulong Ipil 00:18:39.91\00:18:42.15 than we have in the other villages. 00:18:42.18\00:18:43.85 One reason is because I'm here frequently. 00:18:43.89\00:18:46.82 And I see what goes on, on the day to day basis. 00:18:46.86\00:18:51.63 And I've been able to teach our teachers here 00:18:51.66\00:18:56.40 that affection breaks barriers. 00:18:56.43\00:18:59.57 And as you see I did not ask these children 00:18:59.60\00:19:03.10 to give me a hug this morning. 00:19:03.14\00:19:05.04 Yeah, they just came right out, immediate response. Oh. 00:19:05.07\00:19:07.18 When I-- they hear my truck 'cause it's so old and rattly 00:19:07.21\00:19:10.78 so when I'm driving by and they are on break 00:19:10.81\00:19:14.05 they stand on the road and expect me to stop 00:19:14.08\00:19:18.49 'cause they want to hug. 00:19:18.52\00:19:20.06 And as a result barriers have dropped 00:19:20.09\00:19:23.79 not only with the children but with the parents here. 00:19:23.83\00:19:27.50 And we've not pushed anyone to come to school 00:19:27.56\00:19:31.47 and we've maintained very strict rules. 00:19:31.50\00:19:34.67 It's a privilege to come to our school. 00:19:34.70\00:19:37.27 And as a result our numbers continued to increase 00:19:37.31\00:19:41.41 as our students are the witness in the village. 00:19:41.44\00:19:45.18 My name is Lowell Ramos. 00:19:45.21\00:19:48.15 I'm working here at Sulong Ipil teaching. 00:19:48.18\00:19:53.29 Today I'm teaching grades one and two. 00:19:53.32\00:19:55.99 I've been working here since June last year 2012. 00:19:56.02\00:20:01.53 And as you know our schools are four of the minority. 00:20:01.56\00:20:06.37 So I've to say, sorry I can't do that. 00:20:06.40\00:20:11.14 But it is well known in the community 00:20:11.17\00:20:15.51 and in the department of education 00:20:15.54\00:20:17.91 that our students excelled. 00:20:17.95\00:20:21.18 We're halfway up the mountain called Capowan 00:20:32.69\00:20:36.46 which literally means baldhead and you can see why. 00:20:36.50\00:20:40.34 Years ago the timber was ripped off of it 00:20:40.37\00:20:43.30 and never been replanted and it was burned many times. 00:20:43.34\00:20:46.47 This is the high school property. 00:20:46.51\00:20:48.48 On top you see our wind generator 00:20:48.51\00:20:50.75 and you see the two buildings, 00:20:50.78\00:20:53.58 these are staff housing that one is almost complete, 00:20:53.62\00:20:57.32 99 percent complete, 00:20:57.35\00:20:58.62 the other ones in maybe 70 percent complete. 00:20:58.65\00:21:02.22 We're close enough to the city for convenience sake 00:21:02.26\00:21:07.60 but we're far enough away to avoid the pollution 00:21:07.66\00:21:11.87 and the distractions for our students. 00:21:11.90\00:21:15.20 So this is going to be as you will see in a minute 00:21:15.24\00:21:20.01 the high school site, the high school academy site. 00:21:20.04\00:21:23.48 We're standing beside the academy 00:21:32.09\00:21:34.89 that we're constructing here on top of this ridgeline 00:21:34.92\00:21:38.13 for our Katutubo students 00:21:38.16\00:21:40.86 who graduate from our elementary schools. 00:21:40.90\00:21:43.60 We've designed the building to be an octagon. 00:21:43.63\00:21:46.84 To take advantage of the wind from any direction for cooling, 00:21:46.87\00:21:52.14 for circulation because we're in the tropics, 00:21:52.17\00:21:54.18 it does get hot. 00:21:54.21\00:21:55.64 But we get the wonderful sea breeze 00:21:55.68\00:21:58.51 usually starting about noon 00:21:58.55\00:22:00.58 and up here because we're also on a ridgeline 00:22:00.62\00:22:03.95 we get the advantage of the uplift of any air 00:22:03.99\00:22:07.49 that stirring as you can see 00:22:07.52\00:22:09.36 from our wind generator behind us. 00:22:09.39\00:22:11.59 Now the octagon is a 25 meter diameter 00:22:11.63\00:22:19.20 and it will contain classrooms and administrative rooms 00:22:19.23\00:22:24.61 and then the next and I hope the last building 00:22:24.64\00:22:28.28 that we built will be here adjacent to us 00:22:28.31\00:22:30.91 and that will be the dormitory and the cafeteria. 00:22:30.95\00:22:34.58 So our goal is that 00:22:34.62\00:22:36.99 next year this time we will have moved everything 00:22:37.02\00:22:41.06 from our present location in the town 00:22:41.09\00:22:43.76 up here to the mountain to have our academy here. 00:22:43.79\00:22:48.20 On top of the container which houses the battery 00:22:48.23\00:22:51.83 and the invertors for our whole electrical system. 00:22:51.87\00:22:55.20 We also have six solar panels, 280 watts each. 00:22:55.24\00:23:01.48 This is our battery bank which stores our electricity 00:23:01.51\00:23:04.78 from the wind generator and the solar panels. 00:23:04.81\00:23:08.85 And then comes in here 00:23:08.88\00:23:10.35 and right now we're producing 53.9 volts 00:23:10.39\00:23:15.46 so that's our storage capacity now. 00:23:15.49\00:23:18.06 These are our invertors 00:23:18.09\00:23:20.00 and then from here we take the power, 00:23:20.03\00:23:22.63 either as 220 or 110 00:23:22.66\00:23:26.27 depending on what we're using. 00:23:26.30\00:23:28.30 Since this one is presently being worked on. 00:23:40.65\00:23:43.39 Why don't we go to one that's almost finished. 00:23:43.42\00:23:46.29 We don't have cabinets yet, 00:23:46.32\00:23:48.42 but lighting, flooring, 00:23:48.46\00:23:51.56 plumbing is all complete. 00:23:51.59\00:23:55.33 This being the cooking food preparation area. 00:23:55.36\00:23:59.17 This is our dinning tables, 00:23:59.20\00:24:01.34 so we can have seats around here. 00:24:01.37\00:24:06.07 We're in an efficiency apartment 00:24:06.11\00:24:08.38 and we only have about 350 square feet. 00:24:08.41\00:24:11.75 And then here a small bedroom 00:24:11.78\00:24:14.02 and then this will be a master bedroom 00:24:14.05\00:24:19.32 because it has its own bathroom. 00:24:19.35\00:24:22.46 God has provided us here with a beautiful location. 00:24:22.49\00:24:26.86 We're sitting on a ridgeline. 00:24:26.90\00:24:29.03 We have the beautiful ocean, 00:24:29.06\00:24:30.77 unobstructed view of the ocean in one direction 00:24:30.80\00:24:33.10 and an unobstructed view of mountains 00:24:33.13\00:24:35.07 in all the other directions. 00:24:35.10\00:24:37.51 Meaning, we get really nice breeze without pollution. 00:24:37.54\00:24:43.31 So we've tried to design the houses 00:24:43.35\00:24:45.95 so that they will take advantage of the breeze 00:24:45.98\00:24:49.05 because it does get hot here. 00:24:49.08\00:24:50.95 And also to inspire both students 00:24:50.99\00:24:54.96 and teachers in God's nature. 00:24:54.99\00:24:57.83 Laymen Ministries is special for us. 00:24:57.86\00:25:01.26 As a team Jim and I have grown spiritually 00:25:01.30\00:25:05.90 as well as having helped other people to come to Christ. 00:25:05.93\00:25:10.94 If you are willing to learn and to grow come 00:25:10.97\00:25:14.94 and visit this young people at Laymen Ministries. 00:25:14.98\00:25:19.55 Thank you for giving and helping us 00:25:19.58\00:25:23.12 to know more about Jesus. 00:25:23.15\00:25:24.62 I'm so happy that I have a privilege to have an education 00:25:24.65\00:25:27.99 that I can learn spiritual and academic things. 00:25:28.02\00:25:32.13 God still gives us strength 00:25:32.16\00:25:33.93 but we desperately need people with a burning desire 00:25:33.96\00:25:40.60 to help these children continue 00:25:40.64\00:25:44.27 and to carry some of the load that we're carrying today. 00:25:44.31\00:25:47.74 I know that there will be a lot of challenges 00:25:47.78\00:25:50.78 that will come in your life. 00:25:50.81\00:25:53.78 When you come here but, if you are really willing 00:25:53.82\00:25:59.09 God is ready to help as long as it is God's plan. 00:25:59.12\00:26:04.86 I would like to encourage the studied missionaries 00:26:04.89\00:26:08.06 that are from the other counties to come 00:26:08.10\00:26:11.30 and see what our fellow Katutubos 00:26:11.33\00:26:17.77 and help us to educate more and learn especially about God. 00:26:17.81\00:26:24.01 If I could speak to you personally I would say, 00:26:24.05\00:26:28.48 one, make sure of your position 00:26:28.52\00:26:33.15 in your relationship with Jesus Christ. 00:26:33.19\00:26:36.89 And if you do that I am absolutely positive 00:26:36.93\00:26:40.86 if you're listening to His voice, 00:26:40.90\00:26:43.37 He will take you where He wants you to be. 00:26:43.40\00:26:47.47 And I can tell you that's the only place 00:26:47.50\00:26:50.21 you're gonna find joy. 00:26:50.24\00:26:52.41 That may be a place like Occidental Mindoro, Philippines, 00:26:52.44\00:26:57.31 but it could also be right where you're living now, 00:26:57.35\00:26:59.88 your own family, your own community, 00:26:59.91\00:27:01.88 your own church. 00:27:01.92\00:27:03.42 So I can't tell you what is best for you 00:27:03.45\00:27:09.16 but I know who knows what is best for you and for me. 00:27:09.19\00:27:14.13 Breaking through this superstitions 00:27:21.07\00:27:22.74 and backwards way of life 00:27:22.77\00:27:24.17 of the indigenous Aria tribe is a challenge. 00:27:24.21\00:27:27.68 But through Christ centered education 00:27:33.52\00:27:35.58 progress is being made. 00:27:35.62\00:27:37.49 There is hope for the future as the Aria's students get trained 00:27:40.92\00:27:45.06 and go back as missionaries to their own people. 00:27:45.09\00:27:48.50 Laymen Ministries appreciate your prayers and support. 00:27:50.57\00:27:55.14 Together we can make a difference. 00:27:55.17\00:27:59.14
