August, okay. 00:02:54.24\00:02:55.95 I have to finish my duty in the conference first. 00:02:55.98\00:02:57.65 Yeah, it's a small world when you're traveling. 00:02:57.68\00:02:59.50 We're always running into people we know all over. 00:02:59.53\00:03:01.44 Good to see you. 00:03:01.47\00:03:02.50 Well, we're gonna go up there and sit down 00:03:02.53\00:03:03.60 and we'll see up there. Yes. 00:03:03.63\00:03:05.28 In about a year ago Christian Schrock 00:03:13.07\00:03:15.26 brought a team of young Swiss students 00:03:15.29\00:03:17.39 to hold evangelistic meetings 00:03:17.42\00:03:18.96 in connection with Laymen Ministries 00:03:18.99\00:03:20.63 and to help for several weeks 00:03:20.66\00:03:22.34 with Laymen Ministries academy project. 00:03:22.37\00:03:24.64 After reaching the period Abra De Log 00:03:44.37\00:03:46.70 we then took a bus to Sea Breeze 00:03:46.73\00:03:48.97 which is our mission headquarters near Mamburao. 00:03:49.00\00:03:54.08 Laymen Ministries headquarters in temporary 00:03:54.11\00:03:56.44 present truth academy is located in this building 00:03:56.47\00:03:59.27 just outside of the city of Mamburao. 00:03:59.30\00:04:03.99 I am Edith Ramos. 00:04:04.02\00:04:05.49 I came from Artacho Sison Pangasinan 00:04:05.52\00:04:08.22 in the northern part of the Philippines. 00:04:08.25\00:04:11.10 My name is Diana Baricanosa 00:04:11.13\00:04:13.78 and my friends usually call me Lenlen. 00:04:13.81\00:04:17.04 I'm 36 years old and I came from Calamba City, Laguna. 00:04:17.07\00:04:23.29 I teach Bible subject and I'll be teaching Filipino. 00:04:23.32\00:04:28.72 Sir, Bible subject is also a very big, 00:04:28.75\00:04:32.55 a very important part of the program 00:04:32.58\00:04:34.69 because that is the center 00:04:34.72\00:04:36.65 of every academic program that we have here. 00:04:36.68\00:04:39.71 I'm working here at Sea Breeze in Occidental Mindoro. 00:04:39.74\00:04:44.82 What I'm doing here is a high school teacher 00:04:44.85\00:04:49.61 and also an administrative assistant. 00:04:49.64\00:04:52.61 We have the A Beka program because it does provide 00:04:52.64\00:04:57.60 a consistency of curriculum in education. 00:04:57.63\00:05:00.72 And at the same time our students have a live teacher 00:05:00.75\00:05:07.36 that is with them in the classroom 00:05:07.39\00:05:10.47 assisting them in their education. 00:05:10.50\00:05:13.77 A Beka program they have this video 00:05:13.80\00:05:17.01 and then there's also questions, when they asked question, 00:05:17.04\00:05:21.57 it's the time-- it's the only time I will give the answers. 00:05:21.60\00:05:25.28 I play as a facilitator. 00:05:25.31\00:05:27.46 And most of the time the teachers, 00:05:27.49\00:05:29.75 the video teacher usually do the teaching 00:05:29.78\00:05:34.89 and I only facilitate the students 00:05:34.92\00:05:39.29 or if the student needs some clarifications and also, 00:05:39.32\00:05:45.38 I try to review my students as well if he understood, 00:05:45.41\00:05:53.25 or if they understand the lessons. 00:05:53.28\00:05:57.99 The A Beka program is a Christian program 00:05:58.02\00:06:01.15 and while we may not agree 00:06:01.18\00:06:04.75 with the 100 percent of the things that they do. 00:06:04.78\00:06:07.51 They do have quality teachers and quality materials. 00:06:07.54\00:06:11.83 They have a variety of teachers with different accents too 00:06:11.86\00:06:15.62 and that actually helps our students. 00:06:15.65\00:06:19.76 It helps them to learn faster or listen better, 00:06:19.79\00:06:23.00 plus, the way this program is set up, 00:06:23.03\00:06:25.87 it's like they are sitting in a classroom with a live teacher 00:06:25.90\00:06:30.89 and other students that are interacting. 00:06:30.92\00:06:34.09 So we've been very pleased with the quality of the program. 00:06:34.12\00:06:40.75 And our students have done well 00:06:40.78\00:06:42.98 whether they have studied on their own 00:06:43.01\00:06:45.34 or whether they have studied as a group. 00:06:45.37\00:06:49.80 The book education has given us a real foundation 00:06:49.83\00:06:55.06 for our instruction here. 00:06:55.09\00:06:58.46 And as the book of education points out, 00:06:58.49\00:07:02.70 the Bible really should be our first textbook. 00:07:02.73\00:07:05.46 And we've personally found that, that's absolutely correct. 00:07:05.49\00:07:09.74 When we can raise the level of understanding 00:07:09.77\00:07:12.92 so that our students can read the Bible 00:07:12.95\00:07:15.01 for themselves and understand it. 00:07:15.04\00:07:16.98 They are excited about it. 00:07:17.01\00:07:19.09 Through education these young people 00:07:19.12\00:07:21.13 or these Katutubo could have the self confidence 00:07:21.16\00:07:25.26 that they can prove to the world 00:07:25.29\00:07:27.36 that even though I am a Katutubo I'm part of this tribe, 00:07:27.39\00:07:31.48 I can do what they are doing also, 00:07:31.51\00:07:33.44 that I can also be on top where they are now. 00:07:33.47\00:07:38.34 Yes, some Filipinos or the Tagalogs, they call it. 00:07:38.37\00:07:43.58 They make fun with the Katutubos, 00:07:43.61\00:07:46.05 they call them Mangyans and they said 00:07:46.08\00:07:49.03 the Mangyans have tails, so they make fun of them. 00:07:49.06\00:07:55.00 To really understand where these Katutubo have come from, 00:07:55.03\00:07:58.27 we need to go to these mountains. 00:07:58.30\00:08:00.81 The word Katutubo simply means indigenous. 00:08:00.84\00:08:05.31 In this part of the Philippines they are the erie tribe 00:08:05.34\00:08:08.51 and are considered to be some of the most 00:08:08.54\00:08:10.27 primitive people on the planet. 00:08:10.30\00:08:12.87 They live a semi-nomadic life and are mostly uneducated. 00:08:12.90\00:08:17.07 They are shy, superstitious, animus people 00:08:17.10\00:08:20.67 often laden in filth and affected by disease. 00:08:20.70\00:08:24.57 Over the last 15 years Laymen Ministries 00:08:24.60\00:08:26.89 had brought about a great change 00:08:26.92\00:08:28.38 to many of the young people of this tribe and their villages. 00:08:28.41\00:08:32.21 My name is Angelito Taasan. 00:08:36.61\00:08:39.18 I came from the village of Pinagbayanan. 00:08:39.21\00:08:41.78 I'm 19 years old. 00:08:41.81\00:08:43.93 I'm grade 9 student of Katutubo Excel Academy. 00:08:43.96\00:08:49.55 My name is Meleth Parisan. 00:08:49.58\00:08:52.28 I am 16 years old and I come from the village-- 00:08:52.31\00:08:56.71 from the remote village of Pinagbayanan. 00:08:56.74\00:08:59.49 I'm Benjie Parisan and I am 21 years old. 00:08:59.52\00:09:03.02 I came from a remote village 00:09:03.05\00:09:05.74 Agbalite, Paluan, Occidental Mindoro. 00:09:05.77\00:09:08.03 I'm Bernie Villanueva and I'm now 17 years old 00:09:08.06\00:09:13.13 and I came from the remote village of Agbalite. 00:09:13.16\00:09:16.49 My name is BongBong Parisan Lagnaan 00:09:16.52\00:09:19.70 and I came from the village of Pinagbayanan 00:09:19.73\00:09:23.43 and now I am 19 years old. 00:09:23.46\00:09:27.50 I am Dennis Villanueva 00:09:27.53\00:09:30.22 and I came from the village of Binuangan 00:09:30.25\00:09:33.63 and I am 19 years old. 00:09:33.66\00:09:37.80 My name is Rodel Punlaan. 00:09:37.83\00:09:40.40 I am 25 years old 00:09:40.43\00:09:43.13 and I came from the village of Pinagbayanan. 00:09:43.16\00:09:46.71 There are many changes in my life 00:09:46.74\00:09:49.45 compared to my life in the village. 00:09:49.48\00:09:53.87 I can see the growth in my life especially spiritually. 00:09:53.90\00:10:00.06 Before, when I was still in the village, 00:10:00.09\00:10:03.51 I didn't read Bible, I hated reading Bible, 00:10:03.54\00:10:07.47 it seems for me that it is very boring but, 00:10:07.50\00:10:12.47 when I came to high school 00:10:12.50\00:10:15.63 I realized that it is very important. 00:10:15.66\00:10:18.59 I stayed with one of the missionary 00:10:18.62\00:10:22.12 and they teach me about the Bible 00:10:22.15\00:10:24.69 and also the superstitious belief that is not really true. 00:10:24.72\00:10:28.96 One of my favorite memory verses is found in 1 John 1:9. 00:10:28.99\00:10:36.96 "If we confess our sins 00:10:39.13\00:10:41.18 He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, 00:10:41.21\00:10:45.32 and to cleanse us from all our unrighteousness." 00:10:45.35\00:10:49.01 In Christmas time we had a short vacation 00:10:49.04\00:10:52.82 and I had done Bible study with my parents 00:10:52.85\00:10:58.07 and every Sabbath I was the one who handled the program. 00:10:58.10\00:11:03.29 The Bible had done to me to changed my life 00:11:03.32\00:11:11.29 because before I didn't know about God 00:11:12.70\00:11:16.31 and now the proof of it is that 00:11:16.34\00:11:19.07 I am sharing His love to my villagers. 00:11:19.10\00:11:26.69 When I get older I would like to go back to my village 00:11:26.72\00:11:30.64 and teach them also about God 00:11:30.67\00:11:33.99 and I would like also to help them and educating them, 00:11:34.02\00:11:39.71 so they will not be also treated by the Tagalogs there. 00:11:39.74\00:11:44.58 I am so much thankful to God that He sent people to help. 00:11:44.61\00:11:50.46 Actually, my favorite subject in school is the Bible. 00:11:50.49\00:11:56.08 Jim is taking us to see our newest grade school 00:12:00.34\00:12:03.12 located near the little village of Sulong Ipil. 00:12:03.15\00:12:06.86 Then, after a short visit at the school, 00:12:06.89\00:12:09.61 we're gonna head up to the mountain 00:12:09.64\00:12:11.04 to see the new campus of Laymen Ministries 00:12:11.07\00:12:13.20 present crew with Katutubo Academy. 00:12:13.23\00:12:15.59 We have just arrived at Laymen Ministries' newest school 00:12:48.84\00:12:53.07 in the village of Sulong Ipil. 00:12:53.10\00:12:56.04 This school has been in operation for three years 00:12:56.07\00:12:59.19 and we think you're gonna be excited 00:12:59.22\00:13:01.22 about our teachers and our students here. 00:13:01.25\00:13:04.31 Good morning, my students. 00:13:04.34\00:13:06.07 Oh. Oh, I get a double hug. 00:13:06.10\00:13:09.76 Thank you, thank you, thank you, a triple hug. 00:13:09.79\00:13:12.53 Oh, how sweet. 00:13:12.56\00:13:14.97 The human touch is very important 00:13:15.00\00:13:19.07 and even the sixth grader that finished last March 00:13:19.10\00:13:26.04 and came here in June. 00:13:26.07\00:13:27.69 When I first touched her she jumped, 00:13:27.72\00:13:31.18 she-- not all the children are the touchy kind. 00:13:31.21\00:13:35.87 So now she reaches out and touches me to 00:13:35.90\00:13:39.43 see if I noticed that somebody touched me 00:13:39.46\00:13:42.40 and so we're making a game out of it. 00:13:42.43\00:13:44.57 Did you do math this morning? 00:13:44.60\00:13:46.89 Yes or no? I didn't hear. 00:13:46.92\00:13:49.88 Brother. Bible? 00:13:49.91\00:13:52.20 Oh, how exciting. 00:13:52.23\00:13:54.96 Did you have a memory verse this morning? 00:13:54.99\00:13:57.11 Yes, yes. What was the memory verse? 00:13:57.14\00:13:59.89 (1420 indistinct ) 00:13:59.92\00:14:07.89 Oh, how wonderful. Thank you, thank you. 00:14:23.06\00:14:27.11 ( indistinct ) 00:14:27.14\00:14:33.43 Throughout the day. 00:14:33.46\00:14:34.72 Thank you for hearing our prayers and amen. 00:14:34.75\00:14:37.86 Okay, you may go to your classrooms. 00:14:37.89\00:14:40.49 My name is Boying Celestre. 00:14:40.52\00:14:43.56 And my name is Mae Celestre. 00:14:43.59\00:14:45.91 I am Mercy Jose from Mindanao. 00:14:45.94\00:14:49.12 My name is Nora and my family name is Senerser. 00:14:49.15\00:14:53.11 We are working now with Laymen Ministry. 00:14:53.14\00:14:55.48 We've been here for almost four years. 00:14:55.51\00:14:58.19 I've been working nine years now. 00:14:58.22\00:15:00.83 I've been working in Laymen Ministries for five years. 00:15:00.86\00:15:08.83 I work here in the village of Sulong Ipil. 00:15:08.86\00:15:12.14 This is my second year here 00:15:12.17\00:15:14.23 teaching students particularly higher grades. 00:15:14.26\00:15:18.20 I'm teaching grades three and four. 00:15:18.23\00:15:21.68 I'm teaching the kinders. 00:15:21.71\00:15:24.41 When we came to the village 00:15:24.44\00:15:26.05 they were also thinking that we cannot speak Tagalog. 00:15:26.08\00:15:29.18 So they tried to speak to us and entertain us in English. 00:15:29.21\00:15:33.08 And so I was so amazed with 00:15:33.11\00:15:34.96 what the Ministry was doing to them. 00:15:34.99\00:15:37.28 I was not expecting that I would see them clean 00:15:37.31\00:15:40.41 because I was thinking that they will be uncivilized. 00:15:40.44\00:15:44.97 But when we came to the village the students we served 00:15:45.00\00:15:48.13 are clean students and they know how to speak English. 00:15:48.16\00:15:52.99 I found out that education did a great part for them. 00:15:53.02\00:15:56.62 Yeah, and our education is not only teaching them in school 00:15:56.65\00:16:01.72 but how to be clean and they were filthy before, 00:16:01.75\00:16:06.32 but now because of the education or the program of the Ministry-- 00:16:06.35\00:16:12.07 there's a 360 degrees change in their lives. 00:16:12.10\00:16:15.99 The children adapt very nicely to the Bible stories 00:16:16.02\00:16:21.34 that the teachers have worship our classes, 00:16:21.37\00:16:25.46 values classes and have grown spiritually 00:16:25.49\00:16:30.39 because there is so much spiritism in the villages 00:16:30.42\00:16:34.82 that they are afraid of this and they are afraid of that 00:16:34.85\00:16:38.70 and now they know that Jesus loves them 00:16:38.73\00:16:42.73 and so that's something wonderful. 00:16:42.76\00:16:46.09 That's they have never been told that somebody loves them. 00:16:46.12\00:16:50.08 Well, in Katutubo's situation, sir, 00:16:50.11\00:16:54.86 their parents sometimes no attention to their children. 00:16:54.89\00:16:59.39 If their children are running or playing outside, 00:16:59.42\00:17:02.29 even though they're hungry 00:17:02.32\00:17:05.51 because sometimes there is no food, no eating. 00:17:05.54\00:17:09.39 Of course if you're hungry your stomach is aching. 00:17:09.42\00:17:12.88 Though they're reading sometimes there is no understanding, 00:17:12.91\00:17:16.75 and I think food is one of the factors 00:17:16.78\00:17:20.67 that affects also their learning. 00:17:20.70\00:17:23.11 I think education a big part in what happened to the villages. 00:17:23.14\00:17:27.69 This was a temporary school. 00:17:31.01\00:17:34.52 We're using this now for grade one. 00:17:34.55\00:17:38.34 But we want to tear this down 00:17:38.37\00:17:41.58 and construct the missionary house here 00:17:41.61\00:17:45.18 and then down below we'll enclose the open area 00:17:45.21\00:17:48.57 and make an additional classroom, 00:17:48.60\00:17:50.62 so that we have all the classes there 00:17:50.65\00:17:53.22 and the missionary quarters here. 00:17:53.25\00:17:57.85 Good morning. Good morning. 00:18:30.68\00:18:32.67 Nice to see you. 00:18:32.70\00:18:33.89 Yes, I thought I would get a big hug from this girl, thank you. 00:18:33.92\00:18:40.00 We've taken a different approach here in Sulong Ipil 00:18:40.03\00:18:42.26 than we have in the other villages. 00:18:42.29\00:18:43.95 One reason is because I'm here frequently. 00:18:43.98\00:18:46.93 And I see what goes on, on the day to day basis. 00:18:46.96\00:18:51.71 And I've been able to teach our teachers here 00:18:51.74\00:18:56.52 that affection breaks barriers. 00:18:56.55\00:18:59.70 And as you see I did not ask these children 00:18:59.73\00:19:03.23 to give me a hug this morning. 00:19:03.26\00:19:05.16 Yeah, they just came right out, immediate response. Oh. 00:19:05.19\00:19:07.28 When I-- they hear my truck 'cause it's so old and rattly 00:19:07.31\00:19:10.90 so when I'm driving by and they are on break 00:19:10.93\00:19:14.16 they stand on the road and expect me to stop 00:19:14.19\00:19:18.57 'cause they want to hug. 00:19:18.60\00:19:20.15 And as a result barriers have dropped 00:19:20.18\00:19:23.90 not only with the children but with the parents here. 00:19:23.93\00:19:27.63 And we've not pushed anyone to come to school 00:19:27.66\00:19:31.58 and we've maintained very strict rules. 00:19:31.61\00:19:34.80 It's a privilege to come to our school. 00:19:34.83\00:19:37.40 And as a result our numbers continued to increase 00:19:37.43\00:19:41.51 as our students are the witness in the village. 00:19:41.54\00:19:45.27 My name is Lowell Ramos. 00:19:45.30\00:19:48.26 I'm working here at Sulong Ipil teaching. 00:19:48.29\00:19:53.38 Today I'm teaching grades one and two. 00:19:53.41\00:19:56.07 I've been working here since June last year 2012. 00:19:56.10\00:20:01.66 And as you know our schools are four of the minority. 00:20:01.69\00:20:06.49 So I've to say, sorry I can't do that. 00:20:06.52\00:20:11.26 But it is well known in the community 00:20:11.29\00:20:15.61 and in the department of education 00:20:15.64\00:20:18.03 that our students excelled. 00:20:18.06\00:20:21.21 We're halfway up the mountain called Capowan 00:20:32.78\00:20:36.60 which literally means baldhead and you can see why. 00:20:36.63\00:20:40.45 Years ago the timber was ripped off of it 00:20:40.48\00:20:43.41 and never been replanted and it was burned many times. 00:20:43.44\00:20:46.60 This is the high school property. 00:20:46.63\00:20:48.60 On top you see our wind generator 00:20:48.63\00:20:50.84 and you see the two buildings, 00:20:50.87\00:20:53.69 these are staff housing that one is almost complete, 00:20:53.72\00:20:57.41 99 percent complete, 00:20:57.44\00:20:58.72 the other ones in maybe 70 percent complete. 00:20:58.75\00:21:02.31 We're close enough to the city for convenience sake 00:21:02.34\00:21:07.71 but we're far enough away to avoid the pollution 00:21:07.74\00:21:11.99 and the distractions for our students. 00:21:12.02\00:21:15.32 So this is going to be as you will see in a minute 00:21:15.35\00:21:20.11 the high school site, the high school academy site. 00:21:20.14\00:21:23.51 We're standing beside the academy 00:21:32.17\00:21:34.99 that we're constructing here on top of this ridgeline 00:21:35.02\00:21:38.23 for our Katutubo students 00:21:38.26\00:21:40.94 who graduate from our elementary schools. 00:21:40.97\00:21:43.73 We've designed the building to be an octagon. 00:21:43.76\00:21:46.94 To take advantage of the wind from any direction for cooling, 00:21:46.97\00:21:52.26 for circulation because we're in the tropics, 00:21:52.29\00:21:54.29 it does get hot. 00:21:54.32\00:21:55.75 But we get the wonderful sea breeze 00:21:55.78\00:21:58.63 usually starting about noon 00:21:58.66\00:22:00.68 and up here because we're also on a ridgeline 00:22:00.71\00:22:04.06 we get the advantage of the uplift of any air 00:22:04.09\00:22:07.58 that stirring as you can see 00:22:07.61\00:22:09.46 from our wind generator behind us. 00:22:09.49\00:22:11.68 Now the octagon is a 25 meter diameter 00:22:11.71\00:22:19.32 and it will contain classrooms and administrative rooms 00:22:19.35\00:22:24.71 and then the next and I hope the last building 00:22:24.74\00:22:28.39 that we built will be here adjacent to us 00:22:28.42\00:22:31.02 and that will be the dormitory and the cafeteria. 00:22:31.05\00:22:34.69 So our goal is that 00:22:34.72\00:22:37.07 next year this time we will have moved everything 00:22:37.10\00:22:41.15 from our present location in the town 00:22:41.18\00:22:43.84 up here to the mountain to have our academy here. 00:22:43.87\00:22:48.33 On top of the container which houses the battery 00:22:48.36\00:22:51.96 and the invertors for our whole electrical system. 00:22:51.99\00:22:55.32 We also have six solar panels, 280 watts each. 00:22:55.35\00:23:01.58 This is our battery bank which stores our electricity 00:23:01.61\00:23:04.90 from the wind generator and the solar panels. 00:23:04.93\00:23:08.96 And then comes in here 00:23:08.99\00:23:10.45 and right now we're producing 53.9 volts 00:23:10.48\00:23:15.54 so that's our storage capacity now. 00:23:15.57\00:23:18.14 These are our invertors 00:23:18.17\00:23:20.07 and then from here we take the power, 00:23:20.10\00:23:22.74 either as 220 or 110 00:23:22.77\00:23:26.37 depending on what we're using. 00:23:26.40\00:23:28.34 Since this one is presently being worked on. 00:23:40.74\00:23:43.50 Why don't we go to one that's almost finished. 00:23:43.53\00:23:46.40 We don't have cabinets yet, 00:23:46.43\00:23:48.52 but lighting, flooring, 00:23:48.55\00:23:51.64 plumbing is all complete. 00:23:51.67\00:23:55.46 This being the cooking food preparation area. 00:23:55.49\00:23:59.27 This is our dinning tables, 00:23:59.30\00:24:01.45 so we can have seats around here. 00:24:01.48\00:24:06.17 We're in an efficiency apartment 00:24:06.20\00:24:08.50 and we only have about 350 square feet. 00:24:08.53\00:24:11.86 And then here a small bedroom 00:24:11.89\00:24:14.12 and then this will be a master bedroom 00:24:14.15\00:24:19.41 because it has its own bathroom. 00:24:19.44\00:24:22.56 God has provided us here with a beautiful location. 00:24:22.59\00:24:26.96 We're sitting on a ridgeline. 00:24:26.99\00:24:29.14 We have the beautiful ocean, 00:24:29.17\00:24:30.90 unobstructed view of the ocean in one direction 00:24:30.93\00:24:33.22 and an unobstructed view of mountains 00:24:33.25\00:24:35.18 in all the other directions. 00:24:35.21\00:24:37.61 Meaning, we get really nice breeze without pollution. 00:24:37.64\00:24:43.41 So we've tried to design the houses 00:24:43.44\00:24:46.06 so that they will take advantage of the breeze 00:24:46.09\00:24:49.14 because it does get hot here. 00:24:49.17\00:24:51.04 And also to inspire both students 00:24:51.07\00:24:55.06 and teachers in God's nature. 00:24:55.09\00:24:57.92 Laymen Ministries is special for us. 00:24:57.95\00:25:01.37 As a team Jim and I have grown spiritually 00:25:01.40\00:25:06.03 as well as having helped other people to come to Christ. 00:25:06.06\00:25:11.06 If you are willing to learn and to grow come 00:25:11.09\00:25:15.04 and visit this young people at Laymen Ministries. 00:25:15.07\00:25:19.65 Thank you for giving and helping us 00:25:19.68\00:25:23.21 to know more about Jesus. 00:25:23.24\00:25:24.73 I'm so happy that I have a privilege to have an education 00:25:24.76\00:25:28.08 that I can learn spiritual and academic things. 00:25:28.11\00:25:32.22 God still gives us strength 00:25:32.25\00:25:34.01 but we desperately need people with a burning desire 00:25:34.04\00:25:40.71 to help these children continue 00:25:40.74\00:25:44.40 and to carry some of the load that we're carrying today. 00:25:44.43\00:25:47.86 I know that there will be a lot of challenges 00:25:47.89\00:25:50.89 that will come in your life. 00:25:50.92\00:25:53.89 When you come here but, if you are really willing 00:25:53.92\00:25:59.20 God is ready to help as long as it is God's plan. 00:25:59.23\00:26:04.95 I would like to encourage the studied missionaries 00:26:04.98\00:26:08.19 that are from the other counties to come 00:26:08.22\00:26:11.41 and see what our fellow Katutubos 00:26:11.44\00:26:17.89 and help us to educate more and learn especially about God. 00:26:17.92\00:26:24.12 If I could speak to you personally I would say, 00:26:24.15\00:26:28.58 one, make sure of your position 00:26:28.61\00:26:33.25 in your relationship with Jesus Christ. 00:26:33.28\00:26:36.97 And if you do that I am absolutely positive 00:26:37.00\00:26:40.94 if you're listening to His voice, 00:26:40.97\00:26:43.47 He will take you where He wants you to be. 00:26:43.50\00:26:47.60 And I can tell you that's the only place 00:26:47.63\00:26:50.31 you're gonna find joy. 00:26:50.34\00:26:52.53 That may be a place like Occidental Mindoro, Philippines, 00:26:52.56\00:26:57.43 but it could also be right where you're living now, 00:26:57.46\00:26:59.99 your own family, your own community, 00:27:00.02\00:27:01.97 your own church. 00:27:02.00\00:27:03.52 So I can't tell you what is best for you 00:27:03.55\00:27:09.25 but I know who knows what is best for you and for me. 00:27:09.28\00:27:14.19 Breaking through this superstitions 00:27:21.17\00:27:22.84 and backwards way of life 00:27:22.87\00:27:24.28 of the indigenous Aria tribe is a challenge. 00:27:24.31\00:27:27.73 But through Christ centered education 00:27:33.62\00:27:35.70 progress is being made. 00:27:35.73\00:27:37.52 There is hope for the future as the Aria's students get trained 00:27:41.02\00:27:45.14 and go back as missionaries to their own people. 00:27:45.17\00:27:48.54 Laymen Ministries appreciate your prayers and support. 00:27:50.69\00:27:55.25 Together we can make a difference. 00:27:55.28\00:27:59.19
