00:01 What is a Constitution when it's all said and done?
00:05 On our health, we know that the Constitution 00:07 is sort of the inner strength 00:10 that upholds our daily activities. 00:13 And if we have a strong Constitution, 00:15 we will walk and talk and function adequately, 00:18 perhaps a long time. 00:20 US has a well thought out Constitution 00:23 that owes a lot 00:24 to those that went before, 00:25 it owes a lot to the British system, 00:27 that even though they separated by a war of independence, 00:31 there was a continuum there. 00:32 It's a well thought out Constitution 00:34 that above all, 00:36 holds up high 00:37 the rights of the individual, the power of the people, 00:40 empowering a government for their own good. 00:43 It holds up 00:44 the principle of a separation of church and state, 00:46 respect for religion, 00:48 but it is not Holy Writ, 00:51 and many religionists working with the Constitution 00:54 get a little confused between the two. 00:56 It is not infallible. 00:58 It is well intentioned 00:59 and well-functioning at its best, at its best, 01:02 but ultimately our loyalties to God 01:05 and the best Constitution upholds 01:08 and corresponds with the law of God. 01:11 For Liberty Insider, this is Lincoln Steed. |
