Welcome to the Liberty Insider. 00:00:26.96\00:00:28.69 This is a program bringing you news, views, 00:00:28.72\00:00:30.93 updates, discussion on religious liberty events 00:00:30.96\00:00:34.13 in the US and around the world. 00:00:34.16\00:00:36.23 My name is Lincoln Steed, editor of Liberty Magazine, 00:00:36.26\00:00:39.87 and my guest on this program is Ed Woods III. 00:00:39.90\00:00:46.17 Good friend. Welcome. 00:00:46.21\00:00:47.58 Thank you, Lincoln. 00:00:47.61\00:00:48.94 Thank you for having me on the show. 00:00:48.98\00:00:50.35 My pleasure. 00:00:50.38\00:00:51.71 Huge proponent of Public Affairs 00:00:51.75\00:00:53.08 and Religious Liberty and appreciate the work 00:00:53.11\00:00:54.65 that you do with Liberty Magazine 00:00:54.68\00:00:56.25 as we were talking earlier. 00:00:56.28\00:00:57.62 We go way back to Lister. Yeah. 00:00:57.65\00:00:58.99 So it's the L-L, and I guess we have to have 00:00:59.02\00:01:00.86 the love between us. 00:01:00.89\00:01:02.22 But I really appreciate what you're doing. 00:01:02.26\00:01:05.19 I'll pay you the retainer later for being rational. 00:01:05.23\00:01:07.93 Oh, that's fine. 00:01:07.96\00:01:09.30 That's fine as long as it's not McDonalds. 00:01:09.33\00:01:12.03 But I should say there's a postscript there 00:01:12.07\00:01:15.67 that should've given your position, 00:01:15.70\00:01:17.04 but your functioning is the Public Affairs 00:01:17.07\00:01:18.84 and Religious Liberty director in the Lake Region 00:01:18.87\00:01:22.04 which is based in Chicago although you live 00:01:22.08\00:01:23.81 in Lansing, Michigan. 00:01:23.85\00:01:25.31 I do but we do get around Lake Region Conference 00:01:25.35\00:01:27.95 and compasses entire State of Michigan, Indiana, 00:01:27.98\00:01:30.82 Illinois, Wisconsin, 00:01:30.85\00:01:32.52 and we have a church in Minneapolis, Minnesota. 00:01:32.55\00:01:34.49 Very good. Now I see you more and more. 00:01:34.52\00:01:37.39 And I know that you're on fire for religious liberty. 00:01:37.43\00:01:40.63 Tell me what your overview as... 00:01:40.66\00:01:43.53 What is religious liberty mean for you? 00:01:43.57\00:01:45.00 Let's start with the basics so I do this now and then, 00:01:45.03\00:01:46.94 but I've even written editorials on religious liberty 00:01:46.97\00:01:49.70 and no one is against it. 00:01:49.74\00:01:51.21 I've never met anybody against religious liberty 00:01:51.24\00:01:53.94 but everybody defines it differently. 00:01:53.98\00:01:56.21 Why is it important and what is it? 00:01:56.24\00:01:58.48 I take the PARL, Public Affairs of Religious Liberty 00:01:58.51\00:02:02.52 literally and intentionally. 00:02:02.55\00:02:04.19 I know we say religious liberty but as you know 00:02:04.22\00:02:07.06 was founded in 1902 and it's really called 00:02:07.09\00:02:08.89 the Department of Public Affairs 00:02:08.92\00:02:10.36 to Religious Liberty, and I see it as a ministry. 00:02:10.39\00:02:14.36 If you look at our 00:02:14.40\00:02:15.73 Public Affairs Religious Liberty ministry, 00:02:15.76\00:02:17.13 they usually call it Religious Liberty Sabbath. 00:02:17.17\00:02:19.37 And it mainly consists supporting Liberty Magazine, 00:02:19.40\00:02:23.20 which I do, faithful contributor, 00:02:23.24\00:02:26.57 and definitely do the subscription supplement 00:02:26.61\00:02:28.64 in Lake Region, 00:02:28.68\00:02:30.21 we talk about Sabbath accommodation later, 00:02:30.25\00:02:33.62 and then we might talk about legislative updates 00:02:33.65\00:02:36.12 or court case as it relates to religious liberty, 00:02:36.15\00:02:39.39 but we really don't work with the public affairs aspect. 00:02:39.42\00:02:43.29 Not during the campaign much. 00:02:43.32\00:02:44.83 Well, not during the campaign but as a ministry. 00:02:44.86\00:02:47.43 I mean, I believe, Liberty Magazine 00:02:47.46\00:02:48.93 is some of the thing that we should do, 00:02:48.96\00:02:50.70 but how does that impact the person in the local church 00:02:50.73\00:02:54.20 in terms of the pew? 00:02:54.24\00:02:55.60 You know, we have this great Religious Liberty Sabbath 00:02:55.64\00:02:57.61 as we call it on the 4th January of every year. 00:02:57.64\00:02:59.61 This is within the Seventh-day Adventist Church. 00:02:59.64\00:03:00.98 Within the Seventh-day Adventist Church. 00:03:01.01\00:03:02.74 We do the liberty campaign, you know, 00:03:02.78\00:03:04.45 we turn it in with the Marjorie Mentis. 00:03:04.48\00:03:05.98 Although, I should say something 00:03:06.01\00:03:07.35 especially in North America if any of our viewers 00:03:07.38\00:03:10.62 are interested in promoting religious liberty, 00:03:10.65\00:03:12.39 we will go anywhere, any church, any occasion. 00:03:12.42\00:03:15.56 Absolutely. 00:03:15.59\00:03:16.93 And you did a great job, you're just with us 00:03:16.96\00:03:18.36 a couple of weeks ago in Chicago 00:03:18.39\00:03:19.89 and I appreciate the insights 00:03:19.93\00:03:21.36 and gave a sterling presentation about 00:03:21.40\00:03:23.60 what's happening with liberty conscience 00:03:23.63\00:03:25.10 around the world. 00:03:25.13\00:03:26.47 But when we're looking at Public Affairs 00:03:26.50\00:03:27.84 Religious Liberty, we base it on the golden rule, 00:03:27.87\00:03:30.57 "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." 00:03:30.61\00:03:32.41 Right. 00:03:32.44\00:03:33.78 I respect your right to choose, you respect my right to choose. 00:03:33.81\00:03:36.88 And that's just something I just think 00:03:36.91\00:03:38.38 we have to really understand at a basic level 00:03:38.41\00:03:41.52 because when people hear about religious liberty, 00:03:41.55\00:03:43.39 they go through, "This is what we do." 00:03:43.42\00:03:45.02 But they really don't talk about the ministry, 00:03:45.05\00:03:46.99 they don't talk about the networking, 00:03:47.02\00:03:48.36 the building relationships. 00:03:48.39\00:03:49.72 Let me put a pause on what you said, 00:03:49.76\00:03:51.23 "Respecting someone's right to choose." 00:03:51.26\00:03:52.96 To me, it's the same dynamic 00:03:52.99\00:03:54.80 that the US is troubling through 00:03:54.83\00:03:56.36 at the moment on free speech. 00:03:56.40\00:03:57.73 Okay. 00:03:57.77\00:03:59.83 Everyone is for free speech and yet at the moment 00:03:59.87\00:04:01.94 they're objecting to, you know, some of these nefarious groups 00:04:01.97\00:04:04.97 having a chance to say their piece in the streets. 00:04:05.01\00:04:07.74 Free speech is only really proven to be affect 00:04:07.78\00:04:11.55 when you allow someone to speak freely 00:04:11.58\00:04:13.68 on what you find are apart. 00:04:13.72\00:04:15.58 Well, of course, there is a bias to free speech. 00:04:15.62\00:04:17.59 Right. 00:04:17.62\00:04:18.95 And on religious liberty, we know that the worst aspect 00:04:18.99\00:04:23.39 of religious liberty is toleration. 00:04:23.43\00:04:25.53 In other words, you dislike the other 00:04:25.56\00:04:27.70 or may dislike the other people of faith, 00:04:27.73\00:04:30.13 but you allow them because you believe 00:04:30.17\00:04:31.73 in religious liberty, no. 00:04:31.77\00:04:33.37 True religious liberty believer is the child of God knows that 00:04:33.40\00:04:37.44 everybody has this inherent right 00:04:37.47\00:04:39.64 and you respected to believe whatever they move toward. 00:04:39.67\00:04:42.54 Whether you disagree or not. Right. 00:04:42.58\00:04:44.21 And you don't focus on the disagreement, you know, 00:04:44.25\00:04:46.51 they have as much right to hold that view 00:04:46.55\00:04:48.68 as you do on your faith perspective, 00:04:48.72\00:04:50.69 which of course you and I believe 00:04:50.72\00:04:52.25 what we hold is correct. 00:04:52.29\00:04:54.09 We need to grant other people with same view. 00:04:54.12\00:04:55.79 But we serve a God of choice. Right. 00:04:55.82\00:04:57.66 If we didn't, we wouldn't have a devil. 00:04:57.69\00:05:00.60 Sounds like a whole program here. 00:05:00.63\00:05:02.86 And then we talk about public affairs. 00:05:02.90\00:05:05.23 You know, and the thing is when we talk 00:05:05.27\00:05:06.70 about public affairs, what does that mean? 00:05:06.74\00:05:09.00 A man that has many friends must show himself friendly, 00:05:09.04\00:05:11.57 and we have a friend that treat us 00:05:11.61\00:05:12.94 closer than a brother, we talk about Jesus in Proverbs. 00:05:12.97\00:05:15.41 Public affairs is simply being nice to everybody 00:05:15.44\00:05:19.95 regardless of their orientation, 00:05:19.98\00:05:21.62 regardless of their beliefs. 00:05:21.65\00:05:23.62 "Hello, Lincoln, how are you? 00:05:23.65\00:05:25.25 The only time I'm speaking, greet you as my brother." 00:05:25.29\00:05:27.69 And then in the church, we're missing the whole bowl, 00:05:27.72\00:05:29.86 there's six other days 00:05:29.89\00:05:31.49 where we could actually be nice. 00:05:31.53\00:05:32.86 Yeah, there's no question that the public affairs 00:05:32.89\00:05:35.46 as the Seventh-day Adventist Church runs it. 00:05:35.50\00:05:37.83 To some degree it's public relations 00:05:37.87\00:05:40.04 for the churches and organizations 00:05:40.07\00:05:41.70 and that's not wrong presenting ourself favorably 00:05:41.74\00:05:44.74 as an organizational or a body of believers to others. 00:05:44.77\00:05:48.64 And I'm not against the public relations aspect, 00:05:48.68\00:05:51.41 but I also public affairs there's also be an interest 00:05:51.45\00:05:53.68 in what's going on in your community. 00:05:53.72\00:05:55.05 Of course. 00:05:55.08\00:05:56.42 I mean, what's happening in your community, do you know? 00:05:56.45\00:05:58.29 I mean, the community shouldn't see you 00:05:58.32\00:06:00.26 every six months when you're passing 00:06:00.29\00:06:01.76 evangelistic track. 00:06:01.79\00:06:03.12 Yeah. How about, "How are you? 00:06:03.16\00:06:04.69 Do I know your name?" 00:06:04.73\00:06:06.09 I mean, I tell you, in Lake Region 00:06:06.13\00:06:07.46 we say people shouldn't know us, 00:06:07.50\00:06:09.00 we should know people by their names, 00:06:09.03\00:06:10.53 they should know us by our traffic patterns. 00:06:10.57\00:06:12.73 And so they know we come to church 00:06:12.77\00:06:14.10 on Sabbath to do worship. 00:06:14.14\00:06:15.47 You've done this, I've done this actually not by choice 00:06:15.50\00:06:16.91 but a few times going to appointments 00:06:16.94\00:06:18.67 I've gotten lost, this was years ago, 00:06:18.71\00:06:20.61 GPS maps takes most of that away. 00:06:20.64\00:06:22.54 Although every now and again 00:06:22.58\00:06:23.91 you'll get a false address on GPS 00:06:23.95\00:06:26.18 and you're not really where you think you are. 00:06:26.21\00:06:28.68 And a few times I've been reduced 00:06:28.72\00:06:30.05 to asking door to door, "Where is this church?" 00:06:30.09\00:06:33.39 I remember, well, I can say where it is, 00:06:33.42\00:06:35.22 I won't say what city. 00:06:35.26\00:06:36.59 But in Canada, I went to a particular church 00:06:36.62\00:06:38.86 it was a long street, what it turned out 00:06:38.89\00:06:41.03 was a long street with numbers that went one way, 00:06:41.06\00:06:43.63 and numbers that went the other 00:06:43.67\00:06:45.20 and the church I was looking for 00:06:45.23\00:06:47.44 initially on the wrong side of the break. 00:06:47.47\00:06:50.04 But eventually I was asking questions 00:06:50.07\00:06:52.14 and I hounding on it. 00:06:52.17\00:06:53.54 And I remember, I think 00:06:53.58\00:06:55.04 two doors down from this church, 00:06:55.08\00:06:58.31 "Do you know of the Seventh-day Adventist Church here?" 00:06:58.35\00:07:00.08 "No, never heard of such a thing." 00:07:00.12\00:07:01.72 "Really?" They're the neighbors. 00:07:01.75\00:07:04.55 And I've done it a number of times 00:07:04.59\00:07:06.19 and amazingly often and perhaps its true 00:07:06.22\00:07:08.69 of most churches not just any of my church. 00:07:08.72\00:07:13.53 The neighbors don't even know they exist, 00:07:13.56\00:07:15.83 let alone what they believe or anything. 00:07:15.86\00:07:18.07 Well, part of it is we don't really engage 00:07:18.10\00:07:19.70 our neighborhood. 00:07:19.73\00:07:21.07 I mean, you got to engage you more than 00:07:21.10\00:07:22.44 just evangelistic season. 00:07:22.47\00:07:23.81 They need to know that one of our churches burned out, 00:07:23.84\00:07:27.44 it would be a serious impact on the community. 00:07:27.48\00:07:29.64 Loss for community, yeah. Because they knew us. 00:07:29.68\00:07:32.35 Whether we hosted to parent teacher association meetings, 00:07:32.38\00:07:35.68 whether we participated in the neighborhood block clubs, 00:07:35.72\00:07:38.49 whether we did health screenings, 00:07:38.52\00:07:40.42 whether we did the ice creams socials, 00:07:40.46\00:07:42.22 our churches should be an integral part 00:07:42.26\00:07:44.46 of the community not for disaster 00:07:44.49\00:07:46.86 when community serves to steps in, 00:07:46.90\00:07:48.56 but simply by being nice and being neighborly 00:07:48.60\00:07:51.60 to the people surrounding our church. 00:07:51.63\00:07:53.64 And the challenge is we have, we're commuters. 00:07:53.67\00:07:56.07 We come in, we come out, we come in, and come out. 00:07:56.10\00:07:58.71 But we don't want our churches to be vandalized or ruined, 00:07:58.74\00:08:01.78 so why can't we support our neighbors around the church 00:08:01.81\00:08:04.01 who also don't want their houses 00:08:04.05\00:08:05.41 to be vandalizing more. 00:08:05.45\00:08:06.78 Now you've been around this work for a while, 00:08:06.82\00:08:09.18 you probably remember the religious line used 00:08:09.22\00:08:11.35 and institutionalize workers at, remember? 00:08:11.39\00:08:13.09 I think Nick had a part of that, 00:08:13.12\00:08:14.56 he talk about that, not too unprofessional. 00:08:14.59\00:08:16.06 And the big reason for the need for that legislation 00:08:16.09\00:08:19.59 was a phenomenon that's ongoing actually 00:08:19.63\00:08:21.76 even though that the law was strengthened 00:08:21.80\00:08:23.50 where communities resent a church coming 00:08:23.53\00:08:26.70 and building in the neighborhood 00:08:26.74\00:08:28.07 because more and more 00:08:28.10\00:08:29.44 the members come from somewhere else. 00:08:29.47\00:08:30.87 That's right. 00:08:30.91\00:08:32.24 And to me it's as much as sociological problem 00:08:32.27\00:08:35.48 as it is a religious liberty issue. 00:08:35.51\00:08:38.11 And as a matter of sociology or sociability, 00:08:38.15\00:08:42.48 what you say is very true. 00:08:42.52\00:08:44.02 Regardless of where the members come from, 00:08:44.05\00:08:45.79 if the church is planted in that neighborhood, 00:08:45.82\00:08:48.22 it needs to take some practical human steps 00:08:48.26\00:08:50.63 to be integrated into that neighborhood. 00:08:50.66\00:08:52.63 And they should know people by name. 00:08:52.66\00:08:54.23 Right. What a novel idea. 00:08:54.26\00:08:56.56 Know people by name so you can talk to people 00:08:56.60\00:08:58.93 and they should feel comfortable 00:08:58.97\00:09:00.30 coming to the church. 00:09:00.34\00:09:01.67 You should have activities for them 00:09:01.70\00:09:03.41 to come to the church that are non-religious in nature 00:09:03.44\00:09:06.34 so that you can actually build a relationship. 00:09:06.37\00:09:09.48 I mean, just think you're gonna build a relationship 00:09:09.51\00:09:11.48 by giving them an evangelistic track 00:09:11.51\00:09:13.35 is backwards, you've got to build those relationships. 00:09:13.38\00:09:16.62 And I believe the PARL ministry is a unique ministry 00:09:16.65\00:09:20.22 where it can build these relationships 00:09:20.26\00:09:22.06 in the community. 00:09:22.09\00:09:23.43 And we got to take advantage of that. 00:09:23.46\00:09:24.79 And at the same time we can't expect, you know, 00:09:24.83\00:09:28.03 in terms of, okay, we've been at this, 00:09:28.06\00:09:29.40 in five months we haven't got any baptisms. 00:09:29.43\00:09:31.40 I'm not into those, I believe in baptism, 00:09:31.43\00:09:33.67 I am baptized, let's be clear, but I don't put a timeline 00:09:33.70\00:09:37.07 on the Holy Ghost. 00:09:37.11\00:09:38.44 I mean, there are people who need conversion, 00:09:38.47\00:09:40.08 I get that, but I'm not building relationship 00:09:40.11\00:09:42.98 to get them into the pool, I'm building a relationship 00:09:43.01\00:09:45.88 because I care about them. 00:09:45.91\00:09:47.32 Absolutely. 00:09:47.35\00:09:48.68 And so many times we do these things 00:09:48.72\00:09:50.22 like these what I call felt need. 00:09:50.25\00:09:52.12 You know, we're about to do an evangelistic event 00:09:52.15\00:09:53.99 where we're going into the community, 00:09:54.02\00:09:55.39 getting these addresses and emails, 00:09:55.42\00:09:57.39 and trying to make the felt need 00:09:57.43\00:09:59.39 but after that we're done with them. 00:09:59.43\00:10:01.06 But what you're saying goes back to the best parts 00:10:01.10\00:10:03.37 of early Americana, did you know that? 00:10:03.40\00:10:05.57 You know, one of figures that we speak about often 00:10:05.60\00:10:08.30 in religious liberty is Roger Williams 00:10:08.34\00:10:10.77 and his difference from the colony there at Boston 00:10:10.81\00:10:17.51 and he was sent out into the wilderness, remember? 00:10:17.55\00:10:19.61 And it was the Indians that supported him, 00:10:19.65\00:10:22.02 and then he established Rhode Island. 00:10:22.05\00:10:24.85 But did you know that he didn't baptize any Indians? 00:10:24.89\00:10:27.62 And he had a great burden to preach religion to them, 00:10:27.66\00:10:32.23 but he said it over and over again, 00:10:32.26\00:10:34.13 his business was not baptizing them 00:10:34.16\00:10:36.53 it was relating to them. 00:10:36.56\00:10:37.90 He respected them. 00:10:37.93\00:10:39.27 In fact, I discovered recently, he respected them so much, 00:10:39.30\00:10:41.47 he believed they were the lost tribe of Israel. 00:10:41.50\00:10:44.47 I'm not sure upon that theology. 00:10:44.51\00:10:45.84 Well, I don't know about the either theologically, 00:10:45.87\00:10:47.21 but I do know... 00:10:47.24\00:10:48.58 But he wasn't fixated on in South America, of course, 00:10:48.61\00:10:52.75 the colonial power took a different attack 00:10:52.78\00:10:57.65 but it was dedicated to changing them, 00:10:57.69\00:10:59.69 forcing them into this new mold, he didn't do that, 00:10:59.72\00:11:01.49 he respected them as human beings. 00:11:01.52\00:11:03.66 You know, that's like Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God 00:11:03.69\00:11:05.89 in Jonathan Edwards. 00:11:05.93\00:11:07.26 I mean, that was my original introduction 00:11:07.30\00:11:09.90 to religious liberty. 00:11:09.93\00:11:11.27 And I'm like these scared tactics don't work. 00:11:11.30\00:11:14.60 We have to know that people know that 00:11:14.64\00:11:15.97 they do have a choice and God has given us a choice. 00:11:16.00\00:11:19.11 I agree with you but down the line, 00:11:19.14\00:11:21.38 I'll say facetiously one of my favorite preachers. 00:11:21.41\00:11:24.15 You know, he had another sermon 00:11:24.18\00:11:25.81 that I quote many times and I'm doing this for a reason 00:11:25.85\00:11:28.02 because I love the other sermon. 00:11:28.05\00:11:29.65 The title of it was The Expulsive Power 00:11:29.68\00:11:33.19 of a New Affection. 00:11:33.22\00:11:35.06 Okay. You think that's true? 00:11:35.09\00:11:36.52 I think that it's still not our turn of phrase 00:11:36.56\00:11:39.26 for the day, but it explains very well the dynamic 00:11:39.29\00:11:42.43 of the new birth when you come to God. 00:11:42.46\00:11:44.57 When you have a new love, the old things fade away. 00:11:44.60\00:11:47.74 It's the expulsive power of a new affection, I have a... 00:11:47.77\00:11:49.74 Any man be in Christ Jesus is a new creature, 00:11:49.77\00:11:51.54 old things have passed away, behold all things are new. 00:11:51.57\00:11:53.84 I have a teenage son... But it's a choice. 00:11:53.88\00:11:55.21 And I see this worked out often when his girlfriends... 00:11:55.24\00:11:58.21 Well, look, I mean, we have to understand that 00:11:58.25\00:12:00.25 people have a choice and for some reason or another, 00:12:00.28\00:12:03.85 you know, we wanna make... 00:12:03.89\00:12:05.22 We wanna quantify that choice into baptisms. 00:12:05.25\00:12:07.89 And I just think we have missed the boat 00:12:07.92\00:12:09.79 because we have not been genuinely interested 00:12:09.82\00:12:12.09 to public affairs aspect 00:12:12.13\00:12:13.73 about what's happening that are impacting 00:12:13.76\00:12:15.66 the community surrounding the church. 00:12:15.70\00:12:18.23 And that's not just community services. 00:12:18.27\00:12:21.07 You know, what's happening? What's crime? 00:12:21.10\00:12:23.24 Why are we not walking with the neighborhood crime 00:12:23.27\00:12:25.67 watch around our church? 00:12:25.71\00:12:27.21 I don't care where you live commuter, 00:12:27.24\00:12:28.94 why aren't we participating in that? 00:12:28.98\00:12:30.81 Granted, it might not be an Adventist school 00:12:30.85\00:12:32.45 but it's a public school, why are we not helping? 00:12:32.48\00:12:34.68 Don't we wanna these students... 00:12:34.72\00:12:36.12 I want social security, maybe yours is okay, 00:12:36.15\00:12:38.22 mine is in doubt. 00:12:38.25\00:12:40.92 But why are we investing in terms of helping making sure 00:12:40.96\00:12:43.79 the kids have the resources and the needs 00:12:43.83\00:12:45.99 that they may in the future. 00:12:46.03\00:12:47.60 These are things that can, how could we say, stand apart. 00:12:47.63\00:12:50.87 You know, love is just more than just preaching the Bible, 00:12:50.90\00:12:55.37 love is also a behavior when you interact 00:12:55.40\00:12:58.11 and show compassion with one to another. 00:12:58.14\00:12:59.47 Well, it's putting into action. 00:12:59.51\00:13:00.91 And so I think that's some of the things 00:13:00.94\00:13:03.31 that the local ministry in terms of making it something 00:13:03.35\00:13:06.38 that we get the people in the seats as members to do 00:13:06.41\00:13:09.35 to have a paradigm shift in seeing Public Affairs 00:13:09.38\00:13:12.42 and Religious Liberty as a ministry 00:13:12.45\00:13:14.46 versus the service. 00:13:14.49\00:13:15.82 Yeah. And I really like the... 00:13:15.86\00:13:17.76 It's not a twist because it's really a rediscovery 00:13:17.79\00:13:20.30 of what's implicit in public affairs. 00:13:20.33\00:13:24.13 And so, you know, you're on the right track. 00:13:24.17\00:13:26.40 And we need to talk about this a little further 00:13:26.43\00:13:28.30 so we'll take a short break, then we'll be back 00:13:28.34\00:13:31.27 with Ed Woods III, 00:13:31.31\00:13:35.48 to further this discussion of public affairs 00:13:35.51\00:13:38.05 and its wider implications. 00:13:38.08\00:13:40.38 We'll be back. 00:13:40.42\00:13:41.75
