Hello, I'm Mike Browning, welcome to Let God Speak. 00:00:01.36\00:00:03.50 Leadership is a challenging role. 00:00:03.53\00:00:05.43 Some people with strong personalities, 00:00:05.47\00:00:07.40 they're natural leaders, 00:00:07.44\00:00:08.87 but most have to learn how to lead. 00:00:08.90\00:00:11.17 Regardless, all leaders have a powerful influence on others. 00:00:11.21\00:00:14.68 From the scriptures today, we'll seek to understand 00:00:14.71\00:00:17.01 the power of spiritual leadership. 00:00:17.05\00:00:18.95 Well, folks, on our panel today, 00:00:44.34\00:00:45.74 we have Gayl Fong and we have Colin Hone, 00:00:45.77\00:00:47.68 and we're glad to have you both. 00:00:47.71\00:00:49.34 Thank you for coming. 00:00:49.38\00:00:50.71 And, Gayl, welcome to the program. 00:00:50.75\00:00:52.31 This is your first time, we appreciate you being here. 00:00:52.35\00:00:55.08 We'd like to invite everyone to join with us 00:00:55.12\00:00:57.15 in prayer today. 00:00:57.19\00:00:59.19 Father in heaven, 00:00:59.22\00:01:00.56 we come to You to ask for Your guidance, 00:01:00.59\00:01:02.86 the guidance of Your Holy Spirit 00:01:02.89\00:01:04.36 as we study the Scripture today. 00:01:04.39\00:01:06.59 Help us to understand its message to us, please. 00:01:06.63\00:01:09.06 In Jesus' name, we pray, amen. 00:01:09.10\00:01:10.77 Amen. Amen. 00:01:10.80\00:01:12.13 All right. 00:01:12.17\00:01:13.50 Now we need to talk about 00:01:13.54\00:01:14.87 what qualities make for a good leader. 00:01:14.90\00:01:16.87 Colin, that's our first step today. 00:01:16.91\00:01:19.67 Well, let's go to 2 Kings 22:3, 00:01:19.71\00:01:24.71 this is with Josiah 00:01:24.75\00:01:27.28 where he restores true worship back to Israel. 00:01:27.32\00:01:29.98 And in verse 3, it says, 00:01:30.02\00:01:32.22 "Then the king stood by a pillar 00:01:32.25\00:01:33.96 and made a covenant before the Lord 00:01:33.99\00:01:36.29 to follow the Lord and to keep his commandments 00:01:36.32\00:01:39.06 and his testimonies and his statutes 00:01:39.09\00:01:41.13 with all his heart and with all his soul." 00:01:41.16\00:01:43.20 So he made a covenant with God 00:01:43.23\00:01:45.00 that he was going to keep God's commandments, 00:01:45.03\00:01:47.87 restore worship, and with all his heart. 00:01:47.90\00:01:51.07 And then he not just spoke about it, 00:01:51.11\00:01:52.84 he then went about in action and doing it. 00:01:52.87\00:01:56.14 You see him, 00:01:56.18\00:01:57.55 you know, shutting down all the idol worship 00:01:57.58\00:01:59.45 around Israel. 00:01:59.48\00:02:00.82 You see him, you know, 00:02:00.85\00:02:02.18 shutting down the offering of sons and daughters 00:02:02.22\00:02:04.25 where they are offering their children 00:02:04.29\00:02:05.99 to the god of Moloch through fire. 00:02:06.02\00:02:08.36 And he shut down that practice, so he put it into action. 00:02:08.39\00:02:11.89 He spoke it, made a deal with God, 00:02:11.93\00:02:14.06 with all his heart to follow Him, 00:02:14.10\00:02:15.43 keep His commandments. 00:02:15.46\00:02:16.80 And then he actually put into action what, 00:02:16.83\00:02:19.20 you know, he was a man of not just words, 00:02:19.23\00:02:21.07 but of action. 00:02:21.10\00:02:22.44 So that was good leadership, wasn't it? 00:02:22.47\00:02:23.81 A good leadership role. 00:02:23.84\00:02:25.54 A lot of people want to lead others. 00:02:25.57\00:02:29.01 But is this really an easy job? 00:02:29.04\00:02:30.68 I mean, that's the question. 00:02:30.71\00:02:32.85 Well, I think leaders have a huge responsibility. 00:02:32.88\00:02:36.32 And this is certainly shown throughout the Bible. 00:02:36.35\00:02:41.46 They can exert a great influence 00:02:41.49\00:02:43.02 for good or evil, 00:02:43.06\00:02:44.39 just as Colin has shared with King Josiah. 00:02:44.43\00:02:48.83 And God is going to actually ask us 00:02:48.86\00:02:50.53 for an account of how we deal with the responsibilities. 00:02:50.57\00:02:54.97 He gives us. 00:02:55.00\00:02:56.34 And it's an illustration of that in Luke 16:1-2. 00:02:56.37\00:03:00.41 I'll just read those verses. 00:03:00.44\00:03:02.91 He said, "He also said to his disciples 00:03:02.94\00:03:06.21 there was a certain rich man who had a steward, 00:03:06.25\00:03:08.82 and an accusation was brought to him 00:03:08.85\00:03:11.12 that this man was wasting his goods. 00:03:11.15\00:03:13.29 So he called him and said to him, 00:03:13.32\00:03:15.49 'What is this I hear about you? 00:03:15.52\00:03:17.66 Give an account of your stewardship, 00:03:17.69\00:03:19.66 for you can no longer be steward.'" 00:03:19.69\00:03:22.33 And it's quite serious 00:03:22.36\00:03:25.23 when you think about the responsibilities 00:03:25.27\00:03:27.20 that God gives to leaders, 00:03:27.24\00:03:28.57 whether we are a leader of a great nation 00:03:28.60\00:03:30.47 or if we are leader in our home as a parent 00:03:30.51\00:03:33.44 or in our community. 00:03:33.48\00:03:34.81 Yeah, okay. Now, thank you Gayl for that. 00:03:34.84\00:03:37.38 That's true. 00:03:37.41\00:03:38.75 I want to look now 00:03:38.78\00:03:40.12 at some of the experiences of the apostles 00:03:40.15\00:03:42.92 in the New Testament. 00:03:42.95\00:03:45.55 And I'd like to talk about it for us, if you could. 00:03:45.59\00:03:48.22 What do you think of Peter and James 00:03:48.26\00:03:49.99 and their approach to dealing their leadership style, 00:03:50.03\00:03:52.76 if you like, in dealing with a very important issue 00:03:52.79\00:03:55.06 that came up? 00:03:55.10\00:03:56.43 There's a record of the next Chapter 15. 00:03:56.46\00:03:58.63 Yes. Well, 00:03:58.67\00:04:00.00 what, to give you some background, 00:04:00.04\00:04:01.37 what was happening? 00:04:01.40\00:04:02.74 Just like any church, 00:04:02.77\00:04:04.11 they had disputes back in their days. 00:04:04.14\00:04:06.47 Their dispute there was over circumcision, okay? 00:04:06.51\00:04:09.11 That was a long-held practice by. 00:04:09.14\00:04:10.51 And was it to be applied to the non-Jewish people? 00:04:10.55\00:04:13.31 To the gentiles, as they called them. 00:04:13.35\00:04:14.88 And so there was a dispute. 00:04:14.92\00:04:16.25 And so what happened then is Peter and Paul get up 00:04:16.28\00:04:19.52 and they start giving their testimonies 00:04:19.55\00:04:21.16 of how God worked miraculously through gentiles 00:04:21.19\00:04:25.13 and that they also have been saved in the same way by Jesus. 00:04:25.16\00:04:28.06 Yeah. 00:04:28.10\00:04:29.43 And so, and so they preach from the Word of God. 00:04:29.46\00:04:32.23 And then they even quoted scripture 00:04:32.27\00:04:33.77 where Peter quote scripture, where he says in... 00:04:33.80\00:04:38.47 Well, he's quoting scripture and he says in Acts 15:16-17, 00:04:38.51\00:04:43.55 as the prophet said, "After this I will return 00:04:43.58\00:04:45.68 and will rebuild the tabernacle of David, 00:04:45.71\00:04:47.22 which has fallen down, 00:04:47.25\00:04:48.58 I will rebuild its ruins, and I will set it up. 00:04:48.62\00:04:51.45 So the rest of mankind may seek the Lord. 00:04:51.49\00:04:53.86 The rest of mankind, not just..." 00:04:53.89\00:04:55.72 All of gentiles. "The gentiles. 00:04:55.76\00:04:57.09 Even all the gentiles are called by name." 00:04:57.13\00:04:58.93 And so James gets up. 00:04:58.96\00:05:00.70 And after Peter and Paul have given their testimony, 00:05:00.73\00:05:02.60 quoted from the Word of God. 00:05:02.63\00:05:04.73 James gets up and makes the decisions 00:05:04.77\00:05:07.54 that the gentile should not be troubled from turning to God 00:05:07.57\00:05:10.34 and they're accepted into the faith. 00:05:10.37\00:05:12.57 So it's a scripture driven decision 00:05:12.61\00:05:14.74 that he was calling for. 00:05:14.78\00:05:16.11 That's right. 00:05:16.14\00:05:17.48 And I think that's powerful lesson 00:05:17.51\00:05:18.85 when it comes to leadership. 00:05:18.88\00:05:20.22 And going back into the Old Testament now 00:05:20.25\00:05:22.08 and the experience 00:05:22.12\00:05:23.82 that followed the death of Solomon. 00:05:23.85\00:05:25.35 His son Rehoboam took the throne 00:05:25.39\00:05:30.56 and a delegation of people came to Rehoboam and talk to him. 00:05:30.59\00:05:37.00 And it's recorded in 1 Kings 12:4. 00:05:37.03\00:05:43.24 1 Kings 12:4. 00:05:43.27\00:05:44.87 And this is what the delegation of people 00:05:44.91\00:05:47.61 said to Rehoboam the new king. 00:05:47.64\00:05:49.74 "Your father made the yoke heavy. 00:05:49.78\00:05:52.25 Now, therefore, lighten 00:05:52.28\00:05:53.75 the burdens in service of your father 00:05:53.78\00:05:55.72 and his heavy yoke." 00:05:55.75\00:05:57.62 And he wisely said to them in verse 5, 00:05:57.65\00:06:01.22 "Depart for three days, then come back." 00:06:01.26\00:06:04.39 So he needed time to think the answer through. 00:06:04.43\00:06:06.83 That was good. 00:06:06.86\00:06:08.46 And so then verse 6, 00:06:08.50\00:06:09.83 "King Rehoboam consulted the elders 00:06:09.86\00:06:12.07 who stood before his father." 00:06:12.10\00:06:13.44 These are the old wise, experienced men. 00:06:13.47\00:06:17.17 And he says, "How do you advise me to answer these people?" 00:06:17.21\00:06:19.97 In verse 7, they said, 00:06:20.01\00:06:21.91 "If you will be a servant to these people..." 00:06:21.94\00:06:23.68 Now, isn't that an interesting thing? 00:06:23.71\00:06:25.05 Yes, it is. 00:06:25.08\00:06:26.41 We've talked a lot today about certain leadership 00:06:26.45\00:06:27.92 and how powerful it is. 00:06:27.95\00:06:29.42 And this is a long time ago. 00:06:29.45\00:06:30.79 And they're saying, 00:06:30.82\00:06:32.15 "If you will be a servant to the people, 00:06:32.19\00:06:34.22 and serve them and answer them, 00:06:34.26\00:06:35.59 so on speak good words, 00:06:35.62\00:06:37.19 they'll be your servants forever." 00:06:37.23\00:06:39.49 But verse 8, "He rejected the advice 00:06:39.53\00:06:41.86 which the elders had given him and consulted the young man." 00:06:41.90\00:06:46.00 What did they say? 00:06:46.03\00:06:47.37 There is none. He asked them. 00:06:47.40\00:06:49.10 In verse 10, "The young man said, 00:06:49.14\00:06:51.71 'Thus you should speak to this people 00:06:51.74\00:06:53.51 who have spoken to you, 00:06:53.54\00:06:54.88 saying, 'Your father made our yoke too heavy.' 00:06:54.91\00:06:57.68 Say this, 00:06:57.71\00:06:59.05 'My little finger shall be thicker than father's waist.'" 00:06:59.08\00:07:02.38 And they go on giving some very unwise counsel. 00:07:02.42\00:07:06.39 Verse 11, "Whereas my father put a heavy yoke upon you. 00:07:06.42\00:07:09.46 I will add to your yoke. 00:07:09.49\00:07:10.83 My father chastise you with whips, 00:07:10.86\00:07:12.39 I'll chastise you with scorpions." 00:07:12.43\00:07:14.83 I mean, this was really incredible. 00:07:14.86\00:07:17.77 So how did this go? 00:07:17.80\00:07:19.73 Well, it went disastrously 00:07:19.77\00:07:23.04 because he did not follow the wise advice of the elders 00:07:23.07\00:07:28.44 who had learned, 00:07:28.48\00:07:29.81 I'm sure over the years of how to be a leader. 00:07:29.84\00:07:33.21 And they gave him excellent advice, 00:07:33.25\00:07:35.78 but he didn't follow that. 00:07:35.82\00:07:38.15 And from my study that, 00:07:38.19\00:07:40.49 his character had been molded, sadly, in his early years, 00:07:40.52\00:07:44.46 not perhaps by the best example. 00:07:44.49\00:07:46.96 And the first example for us is always our parents, 00:07:47.00\00:07:51.33 our mom or dad or someone who is caring for us. 00:07:51.37\00:07:54.57 And he, 00:07:54.60\00:07:56.81 perhaps he missed out there and his character was very, 00:07:56.84\00:08:00.84 was not strong in doing what was right. 00:08:00.88\00:08:04.08 He obviously was a very proud young man. 00:08:04.11\00:08:07.15 And it says in 1 Kings 00:08:07.18\00:08:10.29 12:16-17, 00:08:10.32\00:08:14.12 it says, now, "When all Israel 00:08:14.16\00:08:16.76 saw that the king did not listen to them. 00:08:16.79\00:08:19.69 The people answered the king saying, 00:08:19.73\00:08:22.13 'What share have we in David? 00:08:22.16\00:08:23.80 We have no inheritance in the son of Jesse. 00:08:23.83\00:08:26.87 To your tents, O Israel. 00:08:26.90\00:08:28.60 Now see to your own house, O David!'" 00:08:28.64\00:08:31.34 So Israel departed to their tents, 00:08:31.37\00:08:33.68 but Rehoboam reigned over the children of Israel 00:08:33.71\00:08:36.11 who dwelt in the cities of Judah. 00:08:36.14\00:08:37.98 So it actually was the beginning 00:08:38.01\00:08:39.71 of the split of the empire. 00:08:39.75\00:08:43.39 Yes. 00:08:43.42\00:08:44.75 And Israel really went downhill from that point, didn't it. 00:08:44.79\00:08:46.42 So he did not lead with humility. 00:08:46.45\00:08:49.66 And he showed his character was a very weak 00:08:49.69\00:08:52.59 and vacillating character. 00:08:52.63\00:08:54.76 We talked about the power of humility a little while ago, 00:08:54.80\00:08:58.87 and it seemed to be seriously lacking 00:08:58.90\00:09:02.10 in the experience of this young man. 00:09:02.14\00:09:04.61 So that was too bad. 00:09:04.64\00:09:07.64 Compare this with the leadership of Josiah 00:09:07.68\00:09:09.91 that we mentioned earlier. 00:09:09.94\00:09:13.75 Then, Colin, sorry, a little bit earlier than that. 00:09:13.78\00:09:18.59 We first of all, before we come to that, 00:09:18.62\00:09:20.56 we're going to talk about 00:09:20.59\00:09:21.92 the experience of Jeroboam and his son Nadab later. 00:09:21.96\00:09:25.49 That's recorded for us in 1 Kings Chapter 15, folks, 00:09:25.53\00:09:29.26 just a couple of pages over. 00:09:29.30\00:09:31.23 So you've got Nadab or Nadab 00:09:31.27\00:09:34.24 or however you want to pronounce it. 00:09:34.27\00:09:35.77 He becomes the king 00:09:35.80\00:09:37.64 and he's a son of Jeroboam and become... 00:09:37.67\00:09:39.91 And in verse, chapter 15:25-26. 00:09:39.94\00:09:43.78 It says, 00:09:43.81\00:09:45.15 "Now Nadab the son of Jeroboam became king over Israel 00:09:45.18\00:09:48.12 in the second year of Asa king of Judah, 00:09:48.15\00:09:50.19 and he reigned over Israel for two years. 00:09:50.22\00:09:52.72 And he did evil in the sight of the Lord, 00:09:52.75\00:09:54.72 and walked in the way of his father, 00:09:54.76\00:09:57.43 and in his sin by which he had made Israel sin." 00:09:57.46\00:10:01.13 So what you found there 00:10:01.16\00:10:02.70 is that the father had influenced his son, 00:10:02.73\00:10:06.23 and he walked in the same ways. 00:10:06.27\00:10:08.00 Which shows us that as parents 00:10:08.04\00:10:10.81 that we can have a great influence 00:10:10.84\00:10:12.37 for good or evil over our children. 00:10:12.41\00:10:15.81 And that's not always the case. 00:10:15.84\00:10:17.48 Children can still make their own decisions, 00:10:17.51\00:10:19.65 but they can influence in a negative way 00:10:19.68\00:10:22.35 or a positive way. 00:10:22.38\00:10:23.72 We pick up our parents' model by osmosis almost, 00:10:23.75\00:10:26.89 don't we, without even thinking about it, 00:10:26.92\00:10:28.49 unless we do deliberately choose otherwise. 00:10:28.52\00:10:31.69 But in this case, 00:10:31.73\00:10:33.06 I noticed at the end of verse 26 00:10:33.09\00:10:34.43 where you read there. 00:10:34.46\00:10:35.80 It says that he made Israel sin. 00:10:35.83\00:10:37.70 So his model not only affected his children, 00:10:37.73\00:10:40.47 but the entire nation. 00:10:40.50\00:10:42.00 That's the incredible thing about it all to me. 00:10:42.04\00:10:44.01 The whole nation was affected. 00:10:44.04\00:10:45.37 That shows that leaders, 00:10:45.41\00:10:46.78 how leaders can actually affect the whole nation. 00:10:46.81\00:10:49.64 They can affect a whole church potentially 00:10:49.68\00:10:52.05 in the way that they're leading. 00:10:52.08\00:10:53.68 Okay. 00:10:53.72\00:10:55.05 The people of God are definitely an influence, 00:10:55.08\00:10:56.42 there's no doubt about it. 00:10:56.45\00:10:57.99 Now we'll come to Josiah. 00:10:58.02\00:11:00.89 Gayl, like we mentioned earlier on. 00:11:00.92\00:11:02.99 Now, just comparing Josiah's positive leadership 00:11:03.02\00:11:06.26 with what we just read about with these men. 00:11:06.29\00:11:09.80 Yes. 00:11:09.83\00:11:11.23 Obviously, Josiah, he say, 00:11:11.27\00:11:13.57 he comes to the throne very young. 00:11:13.60\00:11:15.14 I mean, he's only eight years of age 00:11:15.17\00:11:16.87 when he actually is placed in such a responsible position. 00:11:16.91\00:11:21.51 But we notice that, 00:11:21.54\00:11:23.75 that a number of years later 00:11:23.78\00:11:27.08 when he's in his 20s, as Colin was, 00:11:27.12\00:11:29.62 has read out earlier when we began the study, 00:11:29.65\00:11:32.42 that he has set his whole heart to follow the Lord 00:11:32.45\00:11:36.22 and he wants to bring the nation with him. 00:11:36.26\00:11:38.86 They are just two opposites that we see here. 00:11:38.89\00:11:42.20 He is leading the people upward to God spiritually, 00:11:42.23\00:11:46.10 whereas we found that 00:11:46.13\00:11:50.71 Jeroboam and Rehoboam actually 00:11:50.74\00:11:52.91 led them downward away from blessings. 00:11:52.94\00:11:57.31 Yeah, yeah. 00:11:57.35\00:11:58.68 You see the influence on his life as well. 00:11:58.71\00:12:00.22 There was the influence in his life 00:12:00.25\00:12:01.58 was by a priest who was a man often after God. 00:12:01.62\00:12:04.99 And he didn't have the influence from his parents 00:12:05.02\00:12:06.92 because obviously his father died young 00:12:06.96\00:12:09.32 and his grandma was ruling and she was doing quite evil, 00:12:09.36\00:12:12.53 but he was set aside and trained up 00:12:12.56\00:12:14.36 in the ways of the Lord. 00:12:14.40\00:12:15.83 I thought that was really interesting. 00:12:15.86\00:12:17.20 Yes, it is very interesting indeed. 00:12:17.23\00:12:18.73 And what a powerful influence a man of God can be on a child. 00:12:18.77\00:12:22.37 Yes. 00:12:22.40\00:12:23.74 You know a powerful positive influence. 00:12:23.77\00:12:25.41 Yes. 00:12:25.44\00:12:26.78 Moving on to Nehemiah now, 00:12:26.81\00:12:28.28 we've spent a lot of time in Ezra and Nehemiah 00:12:28.31\00:12:30.18 this last couple of months of study 00:12:30.21\00:12:33.35 which has been so interesting. 00:12:33.38\00:12:35.35 I'd like to go to Nehemiah 1:3-4 00:12:35.38\00:12:40.56 and look at the kind of leadership 00:12:40.59\00:12:41.96 we have here from Nehemiah. 00:12:41.99\00:12:43.59 And this is what it says, Nehemiah 1:3 and 4. 00:12:43.63\00:12:46.76 "They said to me, 00:12:46.80\00:12:48.13 "And the survivors who are left 00:12:48.16\00:12:49.50 from the captivity in the province 00:12:49.53\00:12:51.57 are in great distress and reproach." 00:12:51.60\00:12:54.07 Nehemiah's back in Babylon and he hears this news about 00:12:54.10\00:12:57.91 the people back in Jerusalem. 00:12:57.94\00:13:00.18 And he goes on to say in verse 3, 00:13:00.21\00:13:01.84 "The wall of Jerusalem is broken down, 00:13:01.88\00:13:03.51 its gates are burned with fire." 00:13:03.55\00:13:05.48 Look at the response of Nehemiah. 00:13:05.51\00:13:07.08 Now here's a man who has the capacity to lead. 00:13:07.12\00:13:10.15 "So it was, when I heard these words, 00:13:10.19\00:13:12.02 I sat down and wept 00:13:12.05\00:13:13.89 and mourned for many days." 00:13:13.92\00:13:16.56 He didn't just cry and worn and get sad and everything. 00:13:16.59\00:13:19.39 He didn't wring his hands, only, he says. 00:13:19.43\00:13:21.30 I was fasting and praying before the God of heaven. 00:13:21.33\00:13:23.87 Now there's a good response. 00:13:23.90\00:13:25.77 So compare this 00:13:25.80\00:13:28.74 with what they've just been reading about 00:13:28.77\00:13:30.11 where these men lead people into evil. 00:13:30.14\00:13:31.84 Here's a man. 00:13:31.87\00:13:33.21 What do you think that his approach here? 00:13:33.24\00:13:34.58 Well, there's two things he was upset 00:13:34.61\00:13:37.11 and sad about what was happening. 00:13:37.15\00:13:38.68 It really affected his heart. 00:13:38.71\00:13:40.82 But what he did is, he just said, 00:13:40.85\00:13:42.18 okay, I'm gonna take action now. 00:13:42.22\00:13:43.85 He comes and says, I'm going to go to you, Lord. 00:13:43.89\00:13:46.09 And it was with prayer and fasting that he began, 00:13:46.12\00:13:49.19 which means he was going to God to ask Him, what do I do? 00:13:49.22\00:13:52.33 I want direction from You, not from what I think is right. 00:13:52.36\00:13:55.10 But, you know, what's your will in this situation. 00:13:55.13\00:13:57.47 So prayer and fasting, 00:13:57.50\00:13:58.83 you find that right throughout the Bible, 00:13:58.87\00:14:00.20 the great leaders were men of prayer and fasting, 00:14:00.24\00:14:02.04 and Jesus Himself was always in prayer and fasting. 00:14:02.07\00:14:05.04 Yeah, that's true. That's true. 00:14:05.07\00:14:06.41 And Ezra did the same. Yes. 00:14:06.44\00:14:08.61 He went to prayer and fasting as well, yeah. 00:14:08.64\00:14:11.78 Which means they're relying on God to lead them, 00:14:11.81\00:14:13.92 not on their own selves and their own abilities 00:14:13.95\00:14:15.98 or their own giftedness in themselves. 00:14:16.02\00:14:18.22 They're realizing that that they need God to lead. 00:14:18.25\00:14:21.82 And it's interesting in a crisis 00:14:21.86\00:14:23.99 that they had already set their heart towards God. 00:14:24.03\00:14:27.66 Otherwise, they would not have turned there. 00:14:27.70\00:14:29.50 That's right. 00:14:29.53\00:14:30.87 They were already spiritual men. 00:14:30.90\00:14:32.23 And so they had the confidence then to go to God in prayer. 00:14:32.27\00:14:35.17 And not only that, prayer and fasting, 00:14:35.20\00:14:36.71 which indicated the earnestness 00:14:36.74\00:14:38.27 of how they felt about this whole problem. 00:14:38.31\00:14:41.41 Despite all of that, was everyone influenced 00:14:41.44\00:14:44.15 by the leadership of these great men 00:14:44.18\00:14:46.01 of faith and prayer like Nehemiah? 00:14:46.05\00:14:48.52 Well, sadly, no. Not everyone. 00:14:48.55\00:14:51.12 Although they had a massive influence 00:14:51.15\00:14:53.09 on the nation. 00:14:53.12\00:14:55.06 It would appear throughout their times 00:14:55.09\00:14:57.96 that the tendency for the people themselves 00:14:57.99\00:15:01.93 to remain faithful did not last. 00:15:01.96\00:15:05.90 Okay. And they often struggled. 00:15:05.93\00:15:08.40 Although being a faithful leader 00:15:08.44\00:15:11.01 does not mean that you can always choose the outcome. 00:15:11.04\00:15:15.48 No, that's right. But they, they... 00:15:15.51\00:15:17.71 But then as you pointed out, they had a huge influence 00:15:17.75\00:15:19.88 despite the fact that it didn't always go so well. 00:15:19.91\00:15:22.35 There's always opposition when you step up for God. 00:15:22.38\00:15:24.72 That's okay. 00:15:24.75\00:15:26.09 Of course, that makes sense, doesn't it? 00:15:26.12\00:15:27.46 It makes lot of sense. It does make sense. 00:15:27.49\00:15:28.82 And I guess, they have to be faithful. 00:15:28.86\00:15:31.09 It's the faithfulness. 00:15:31.13\00:15:32.46 But even Jesus, 00:15:32.49\00:15:34.00 He wasn't always followed and accepted 00:15:34.03\00:15:37.37 with what He had to say. 00:15:37.40\00:15:38.73 He didn't even always 00:15:38.77\00:15:40.10 have a positive influence for young people. 00:15:40.14\00:15:41.47 Well, let's be honest, Israel 00:15:41.50\00:15:43.04 in the whole rejected Jesus and crucified Him. 00:15:43.07\00:15:46.64 And you know, you see what Jesus says 00:15:46.68\00:15:48.74 in Matthew 23:37-38. 00:15:48.78\00:15:52.45 His response to that, to Jerusalem. 00:15:52.48\00:15:55.18 You know, He'd come, He spoke with them. 00:15:55.22\00:15:56.72 He healed them. 00:15:56.75\00:15:58.09 He'd done incredible miracles, raise the dead people. 00:15:58.12\00:16:00.99 And yet still they rejected Him. 00:16:01.02\00:16:02.92 And he goes in verse 37, "O, Jerusalem, Jerusalem, 00:16:02.96\00:16:05.56 the one who kills the prophet." 00:16:05.59\00:16:06.93 He says, you've killed all the prophets before. 00:16:06.96\00:16:09.23 "And stone, those who are sent to you," 00:16:09.26\00:16:11.00 you know, sent to her, 00:16:11.03\00:16:12.37 "how often I wanted to gather your children together 00:16:12.40\00:16:14.17 as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings." 00:16:14.20\00:16:16.94 He wants to gather them around and love them and protect them. 00:16:16.97\00:16:19.74 But you were not willing. Usual picture. 00:16:19.77\00:16:21.31 He says, "You weren't willing..." 00:16:21.34\00:16:22.68 And now, because of you weren't willing, 00:16:22.71\00:16:24.65 "See, your house is left to you desolate. 00:16:24.68\00:16:26.95 Wow. 00:16:26.98\00:16:28.32 You know, He said, basically, I've done everything I can. 00:16:28.35\00:16:32.29 I've sent prophets, and you've just rejected them. 00:16:32.32\00:16:35.06 Now I've come Myself. 00:16:35.09\00:16:36.52 You know, I'm God in the flesh. 00:16:36.56\00:16:38.29 I've come down to love and care for you. 00:16:38.33\00:16:41.70 And you're even going to reject Me and crucify Me. 00:16:41.73\00:16:43.87 And now He's saying, "Your time is finished." 00:16:43.90\00:16:46.40 They missed their opportunity, their great opportunity, 00:16:46.43\00:16:48.24 defining moment had come and gone, 00:16:48.27\00:16:49.60 they hadn't even realized. 00:16:49.64\00:16:50.97 That was very true. Very true, indeed. 00:16:51.01\00:16:53.41 Now back to Israel, Nehemiah's time now. 00:16:53.44\00:16:55.84 Again, they had enemies there, didn't they? 00:16:55.88\00:16:58.38 They had a lot of enemies. 00:16:58.41\00:17:00.78 Nehemiah didn't just once again step back 00:17:00.82\00:17:03.22 and bring his hands or even just pray. 00:17:03.25\00:17:04.65 He did some interesting things, didn't he? 00:17:04.69\00:17:06.35 Yes, he did. 00:17:06.39\00:17:07.89 When he was challenged, he always prayed first, 00:17:07.92\00:17:13.66 but then he was a man of action. 00:17:13.70\00:17:15.23 And in Nehemiah 00:17:15.26\00:17:16.60 4:15-16, "It happened, 00:17:16.63\00:17:22.94 when our enemies heard that it was known to us, 00:17:22.97\00:17:26.07 and that God had brought their plot to nothing, 00:17:26.11\00:17:28.81 that all of us returned to the wall, 00:17:28.84\00:17:31.01 everyone to his work." 00:17:31.05\00:17:32.71 But to work they went, but they went armed. 00:17:32.75\00:17:35.75 They did not just expect God to do everything for them. 00:17:35.78\00:17:38.45 They went with their sword on one side 00:17:38.49\00:17:40.92 and they implement to build a wall on the other. 00:17:40.96\00:17:44.16 So they were very prepared, of course. 00:17:44.19\00:17:45.93 This was very intimidating to the enemy. 00:17:45.96\00:17:48.46 Yes, that was fantastic. 00:17:48.50\00:17:50.43 Not taking God for granted, and we mustn't do that. 00:17:50.47\00:17:54.07 Colin, how did Nehemiah 00:17:54.10\00:17:56.10 demonstrate his leadership qualities 00:17:56.14\00:17:57.77 while he was dealing with these issues? 00:17:57.81\00:17:59.51 Well, one thing I found about most leaders and even Nehemiah 00:17:59.54\00:18:02.38 is they led by example. 00:18:02.41\00:18:04.25 Yes. And they also empowered others. 00:18:04.28\00:18:06.68 They didn't just say, let's do it all ourselves 00:18:06.72\00:18:08.42 or let's dictate it. 00:18:08.45\00:18:09.78 They actually empowered others 00:18:09.82\00:18:12.09 and surround himself with leaders 00:18:12.12\00:18:14.09 who were even more capable themselves. 00:18:14.12\00:18:15.76 And you read in Nehemiah 3:1-3 where it says when the... 00:18:15.79\00:18:21.36 about the rebuilding of the wall. 00:18:21.40\00:18:23.33 "Then Eliashib 00:18:23.37\00:18:24.87 the high priest rose up with his brethren the priests 00:18:24.90\00:18:27.17 and built the Sheep Gate, 00:18:27.20\00:18:29.77 they consecrated it and hung its doors. 00:18:29.80\00:18:31.21 They built as far as the Tower of the Hundred, 00:18:31.24\00:18:32.64 and consecrated it, 00:18:32.67\00:18:34.01 then as far as the Tower of Hananel." 00:18:34.04\00:18:35.51 So he had cooperation, and he empowered others to go 00:18:35.54\00:18:37.75 and do their parts. 00:18:37.78\00:18:39.25 "And next to Eliashib the men of Jericho built. 00:18:39.28\00:18:41.38 And next to them Zaccur the son of Imri built." 00:18:41.42\00:18:44.95 And he keeps on continuing on that, 00:18:44.99\00:18:46.65 that they all enabled others and empowered them to lead. 00:18:46.69\00:18:51.63 He didn't just dictate, 00:18:51.66\00:18:53.86 you know, he was a very empowering leader. 00:18:53.90\00:18:56.53 Okay, and there was a sign of good leadership 00:18:56.56\00:18:58.60 to bring in other capable people. 00:18:58.63\00:19:00.07 Some leaders, I think, are afraid to do that. 00:19:00.10\00:19:02.50 But that would be a mistake, 00:19:02.54\00:19:04.01 obviously, to go down that track. 00:19:04.04\00:19:07.18 Nehemiah quite showed other 00:19:07.21\00:19:08.81 characteristics of good leadership, too. 00:19:08.84\00:19:10.38 Didn't he, Gayl? 00:19:10.41\00:19:12.18 Yes, he certainly did. 00:19:12.21\00:19:15.38 He was a true servant leader. 00:19:15.42\00:19:17.15 As some Colin has brought out about 00:19:17.19\00:19:19.32 Jesus being an excellent example, 00:19:19.35\00:19:22.12 one of the best example that we could ever have 00:19:22.16\00:19:24.59 of, for a leader, Nehemiah, 00:19:24.63\00:19:27.20 he exemplified servant leadership. 00:19:27.23\00:19:29.66 He was a very humble leader and a very godly man. 00:19:29.70\00:19:33.94 He put his trust in God 00:19:33.97\00:19:35.40 because he was continually being bombarded by the enemy 00:19:35.44\00:19:39.34 on personal attacks against himself 00:19:39.37\00:19:41.98 from within and from without. 00:19:42.01\00:19:44.01 Okay. 00:19:44.05\00:19:45.38 And so, yes, he just didn't, 00:19:45.41\00:19:48.05 he just didn't give instructions. 00:19:48.08\00:19:49.65 He actually was working on the wall with them. 00:19:49.68\00:19:52.92 Everywhere you see, he was there in boots and all. 00:19:52.95\00:19:56.06 Okay, way to go. 00:19:56.09\00:19:57.49 And that's real servant leadership. 00:19:57.53\00:19:59.23 That's good. 00:19:59.26\00:20:00.60 Very good. Thank you. 00:20:00.63\00:20:01.96 there's an interesting statement here 00:20:05.00\00:20:06.33 I'd like to read. 00:20:06.37\00:20:07.70 "Ezra came to Jerusalem in the fifth month." 00:20:07.74\00:20:09.27 That's when he arrived, 7th year of the king. 00:20:09.30\00:20:12.07 "On the first day of the first month, 00:20:12.11\00:20:13.58 he began his journey from Babylon. 00:20:13.61\00:20:15.38 And on the first day of the fifth month, 00:20:15.41\00:20:17.55 he came to Jerusalem, 00:20:17.58\00:20:18.91 according to the good hand of his God upon him." 00:20:18.95\00:20:21.05 It was a spiritual journey for him, for Ezra. 00:20:21.08\00:20:25.19 And this is the reason why God was with him. 00:20:25.22\00:20:27.69 "For Israel had prepared his heart 00:20:27.72\00:20:29.89 to seek the law of the Lord and to do it, 00:20:29.92\00:20:32.89 and to teach statutes and ordinances in Israel," 00:20:32.93\00:20:36.67 which is a really interesting statement. 00:20:36.70\00:20:39.27 Colin, what do you? 00:20:39.30\00:20:40.64 You can see what's driving Ezra here, can't you? 00:20:40.67\00:20:42.37 Again. 00:20:42.40\00:20:43.74 Did you notice that there was a similar pattern 00:20:43.77\00:20:45.11 with other leaders we spoke about earlier, 00:20:45.14\00:20:47.31 where the king, he said with all his heart 00:20:47.34\00:20:48.98 he wanted to make a covenant with God 00:20:49.01\00:20:50.88 and keep His commandments and His statutes. 00:20:50.91\00:20:53.45 And then Ezra went and taught the people the same thing. 00:20:53.48\00:20:56.82 He put it on his own heart to do that. 00:20:56.85\00:20:58.62 And then he taught the people so they could do will, 00:20:58.65\00:21:01.02 God's will. 00:21:01.06\00:21:02.39 And he just did, he led by example. 00:21:02.42\00:21:04.03 So, he says, I'm making a covenant. 00:21:04.06\00:21:05.39 I'm gonna keep the commandments of God and statutes. 00:21:05.43\00:21:07.46 And then he taught the people about God's will. 00:21:07.50\00:21:10.77 And because he knew 00:21:10.80\00:21:12.27 the covenant they'd made with Israel and made with God 00:21:12.30\00:21:14.44 is that when they kept the covenant of God, 00:21:14.47\00:21:16.91 that God would protect them and bless them. 00:21:16.94\00:21:19.41 And when they didn't, God withdrew their protection 00:21:19.44\00:21:22.14 and disaster came upon Israel. 00:21:22.18\00:21:23.58 So he knew it was in the best interest of Israel. 00:21:23.61\00:21:25.75 It was vital 00:21:25.78\00:21:27.12 to the survival of Israel, I think. 00:21:27.15\00:21:28.48 There's something very interesting about 00:21:28.52\00:21:30.79 how they seek the Lord 00:21:30.82\00:21:32.35 because the Holy Spirit is seeking us. 00:21:32.39\00:21:36.32 And that's what draws us to want to know 00:21:36.36\00:21:39.06 God in the first place. 00:21:39.09\00:21:40.50 And he, as it's been read, 00:21:40.53\00:21:42.63 he prepared his heart to seek the Lord, 00:21:42.66\00:21:44.47 so the Holy Spirit has been moving him. 00:21:44.50\00:21:46.70 And so as he gets into the word, 00:21:46.74\00:21:48.67 he is just so blown away by the word, 00:21:48.70\00:21:52.04 he falls in love with Jesus and his spirit filled 00:21:52.07\00:21:55.31 and his passionate drives him. 00:21:55.34\00:21:57.48 Thank you, it's lovely. 00:21:57.51\00:21:58.91 Yeah, I can see that tears is definitely good. 00:21:58.95\00:22:02.18 And there's something else 00:22:02.22\00:22:04.02 that stands out in the life of both Ezra and Nehemiah, 00:22:04.05\00:22:08.46 Gayl, isn't there? 00:22:08.49\00:22:10.36 They were both great. 00:22:10.39\00:22:11.86 They were great leaders, but they also had goals. 00:22:11.89\00:22:15.30 I believe the Holy Spirit 00:22:15.33\00:22:16.67 that God had put goals upon their heart. 00:22:16.70\00:22:19.23 And Ezra certainly, his goal, 00:22:19.27\00:22:21.40 he longed for them 00:22:21.44\00:22:23.07 to not only complete building Jerusalem and the walls, 00:22:23.10\00:22:27.84 but his passion for them to know God 00:22:27.88\00:22:30.95 and to teach them the laws and the statute 00:22:30.98\00:22:33.08 so that they would love God and obey Him and follow Him 00:22:33.11\00:22:36.69 and receive all the blessings. 00:22:36.72\00:22:38.52 And Nehemiah was passionate for Jesus. 00:22:38.55\00:22:41.56 He was. 00:22:41.59\00:22:42.92 Yeah, because he could have gone and say. 00:22:42.96\00:22:44.29 Finished the task. 00:22:44.33\00:22:45.66 For 52 days 00:22:45.69\00:22:47.03 they did under his leadership to finish the wall. 00:22:47.06\00:22:48.40 That was amazing, wasn't it? 00:22:48.43\00:22:49.76 It was amazing. It was amazing. 00:22:49.80\00:22:51.13 Now, specifically, what do you see 00:22:51.17\00:22:52.93 is the main goal that they had? 00:22:52.97\00:22:54.84 Well, there was always to uplift the Word of God. 00:22:54.87\00:22:58.31 It was to restore the temple worship. 00:22:58.34\00:23:00.28 They always wanted the temple worship 00:23:00.31\00:23:01.68 because the temple worship pointed to the Messiah, 00:23:01.71\00:23:05.31 the sacrificing lambs. 00:23:05.35\00:23:06.75 Yeah. 00:23:06.78\00:23:08.12 They wanted to restore the Word of God, 00:23:08.15\00:23:09.48 restore visible worship, true worship to God. 00:23:09.52\00:23:11.99 So God's people write about the Old Testament. 00:23:12.02\00:23:13.96 I believe also in the New Testament, 00:23:13.99\00:23:15.39 the last days were always want to restore 00:23:15.42\00:23:17.96 true worship to God, to His Word. 00:23:17.99\00:23:20.96 And you can see that right through 00:23:21.00\00:23:23.30 the whole Old Testament, New Testament of all leaders. 00:23:23.33\00:23:25.40 Yeah, yeah. 00:23:25.43\00:23:26.77 I think worship is the highest form 00:23:26.80\00:23:28.40 that we can give to God is giving Him our heart, 00:23:28.44\00:23:30.87 our soul, our mind, all that we are. 00:23:30.91\00:23:33.31 And that's true worship, isn't it? 00:23:33.34\00:23:34.68 But to do it God's way. Yeah. 00:23:34.71\00:23:36.04 Not the way we think. No, that's true. 00:23:36.08\00:23:37.91 So it wasn't just a material, 00:23:37.95\00:23:39.68 a material restoration of Israel 00:23:39.71\00:23:42.58 that these men were interested in, was it? 00:23:42.62\00:23:44.95 They had been far beyond that? 00:23:44.99\00:23:46.52 Absolutely. Yeah. 00:23:46.55\00:23:47.89 Worship was at the heart of it, true worship. 00:23:47.92\00:23:49.42 Yes. Yeah. 00:23:49.46\00:23:50.79 Restored relationship with the living God. 00:23:50.83\00:23:52.83 Yeah. 00:23:52.86\00:23:54.20 Now getting back to leadership qualities, 00:23:54.23\00:23:55.56 which is what we're trying to unwrap here today. 00:23:55.60\00:23:58.37 The characteristics of a great leader 00:23:58.40\00:24:03.34 are definitely being uncovered here. 00:24:03.37\00:24:05.07 Colin, and what stands out for you? 00:24:05.11\00:24:07.94 Well, I see a lot of things stand out but one thing I'd say 00:24:07.98\00:24:10.71 is there are men of prayer, fasting, two, they were humble. 00:24:10.75\00:24:16.15 Now how you look like, the most humble person 00:24:16.18\00:24:17.99 in the whole Bible that God speaks about was Moses. 00:24:18.02\00:24:21.22 He was the most humble man. 00:24:21.26\00:24:22.59 And so what, when you're humble, 00:24:22.62\00:24:23.96 you're teachable. 00:24:23.99\00:24:25.33 Yep. 00:24:25.36\00:24:26.70 And when you're not humble, your pride, your leaders, 00:24:26.73\00:24:28.06 I know everything. 00:24:28.10\00:24:29.43 I know what to do. 00:24:29.46\00:24:30.80 But humble people can lead because they can be teachable. 00:24:30.83\00:24:32.70 They're teachable from God Himself. 00:24:32.73\00:24:34.07 Yeah, yeah. 00:24:34.10\00:24:35.44 So that's one of the things I think drives these people. 00:24:35.47\00:24:38.07 And they also, they led by example. 00:24:38.11\00:24:40.28 They got involved themselves. 00:24:40.31\00:24:41.78 They didn't just say it, 00:24:41.81\00:24:43.14 but they actually led by action. 00:24:43.18\00:24:44.51 Okay. 00:24:44.55\00:24:45.88 Now we're going to move on a bit more quickly here. 00:24:45.91\00:24:47.35 Now, I'm going to come back to you, Colin. 00:24:47.38\00:24:49.82 There's another leadership characteristic 00:24:49.85\00:24:53.12 that's outlined here that you do find a good leader, 00:24:53.15\00:24:55.32 we've mentioned some of these characteristics already. 00:24:55.36\00:24:58.33 I'm going to refer in Nehemiah here in Chapter 5, 00:24:58.36\00:25:03.00 and I'm going to read verses 14-15. 00:25:03.03\00:25:06.43 Nehemiah 5:14-15, 00:25:06.47\00:25:08.77 which says, "Moreover, from the time 00:25:08.80\00:25:11.47 that I was appointed to be their governor," 00:25:11.51\00:25:13.21 this is Nehemiah 00:25:13.24\00:25:14.58 speaking or writing for himself, 00:25:14.61\00:25:17.18 "from the 20th year 00:25:17.21\00:25:18.55 to the 32nd year of King Artaxerxes, 00:25:18.58\00:25:20.82 12 years, 00:25:20.85\00:25:22.35 neither I nor my brothers ate the governor's provisions." 00:25:22.38\00:25:25.79 In other words, 00:25:25.82\00:25:27.16 he was the governor and they were allotted 00:25:27.19\00:25:28.89 quite a lot of substantial amount of provisions 00:25:28.92\00:25:32.13 and he didn't use that. 00:25:32.16\00:25:33.50 He used his own. 00:25:33.53\00:25:34.96 Verse 15, he says, 00:25:35.00\00:25:36.33 "The former governors 00:25:36.36\00:25:37.70 who were before me laid burdens on the people. 00:25:37.73\00:25:40.04 Took from them bread and wine besides 40 shekels of silver." 00:25:40.07\00:25:43.41 A lot of money. 00:25:43.44\00:25:44.77 "Yes, even their servants bore rule over the people, 00:25:44.81\00:25:47.08 but I did not do so because of the fear of God," 00:25:47.11\00:25:49.68 which was interesting. 00:25:49.71\00:25:51.45 So basically he didn't. 00:25:51.48\00:25:52.81 He worked for nothing 00:25:52.85\00:25:54.18 because he could see 00:25:54.22\00:25:55.58 that the people were under significant pressure already. 00:25:55.62\00:25:59.49 So, again, you know, there's some 00:25:59.52\00:26:01.76 good characteristic coming in here? 00:26:01.79\00:26:04.26 Well, let's see. 00:26:04.29\00:26:05.63 He didn't want to take advantage 00:26:05.66\00:26:07.26 of the people for financial gain, 00:26:07.30\00:26:08.76 even though he had a right as a governor 00:26:08.80\00:26:10.93 to provisions and he provided the table of food for them. 00:26:10.97\00:26:14.27 He provided everything, 00:26:14.30\00:26:15.64 he didn't take advantage through money. 00:26:15.67\00:26:17.01 So what does that tell you about someone? 00:26:17.04\00:26:18.37 That it was in his heart. 00:26:18.41\00:26:19.74 Amen. Yeah. 00:26:19.77\00:26:21.11 It was in his heart to, to bring worship back to God, 00:26:21.14\00:26:23.28 to build one of the goal that God had given them. 00:26:23.31\00:26:25.85 So once again, the servant leader 00:26:25.88\00:26:27.78 comes to the fore here, 00:26:27.82\00:26:29.18 just as we see in the life of Jesus. 00:26:29.22\00:26:31.19 And Jesus just very briefly, Gayl, 00:26:31.22\00:26:32.79 did raise the issue of servant leadership, 00:26:32.82\00:26:34.59 didn't He there? 00:26:34.62\00:26:35.96 Yes, He did. 00:26:35.99\00:26:37.69 He certainly showed those qualities. 00:26:37.73\00:26:40.66 And in Luke 22:25, 00:26:40.70\00:26:45.73 the Bible says this reading there, 00:26:45.77\00:26:51.87 "And he said to them, 00:26:51.91\00:26:53.78 'The king of the Gentiles exercises 00:26:53.81\00:26:56.58 lordship over them, 00:26:56.61\00:26:57.95 and those who exercise authority 00:26:57.98\00:26:59.35 over them are called benefactors." 00:26:59.38\00:27:01.28 But just skipping down to verse 27, 00:27:01.32\00:27:03.72 "Yet I am among you as one who serves. 00:27:03.75\00:27:06.49 That's what Jesus did. 00:27:06.52\00:27:07.86 And we're going to finish right up there. 00:27:07.89\00:27:09.82 Thank you. That made it very clear. 00:27:09.86\00:27:11.29 Jesus put His own signature 00:27:11.33\00:27:13.60 on the servant leadership model. 00:27:13.63\00:27:15.86 So, folks, the best leadership 00:27:15.90\00:27:17.23 is driven and directed by prayer, as we've seen. 00:27:17.27\00:27:20.84 Enlisting power and direction 00:27:20.87\00:27:22.34 from God makes leaders vital and successful. 00:27:22.37\00:27:25.71 Jesus being the best model for this. 00:27:25.74\00:27:27.94 He was a servant and loved the people. 00:27:27.98\00:27:30.28 They knew He desired their best goods. 00:27:30.31\00:27:32.48 No wonder the humble people followed Him gladly. 00:27:32.51\00:27:35.25 Well, we're glad you're with us on Let God Speak today. 00:27:35.28\00:27:37.75 You can view all our past programs 00:27:37.79\00:27:39.15 on our website. 00:27:39.19\00:27:40.52 Please check it out. 00:27:40.56\00:27:41.89 Teachers notes are there 00:27:41.92\00:27:43.26 and you can e-mail us if you prefer. 00:27:43.29\00:27:44.79 Join us again.
