These are recipes that you can 00:01:21.12\00:01:23.11 use in other recipes. So, the recipes have 00:01:23.14\00:01:25.77 lots of uses. Umm! Umm! Very 00:01:25.80\00:01:27.73 good, and Angela I understand that you, 00:01:27.76\00:01:30.03 you give seminars, you teach people how 00:01:30.06\00:01:32.35 to cook and you teach them of nutrition. 00:01:32.38\00:01:35.81 Yeah, I do cooking schools. I've done 00:01:35.84\00:01:38.40 cooking schools in Montana, Idaho, 00:01:38.43\00:01:40.87 British Columbia, which is where I'm from. 00:01:40.90\00:01:43.56 Umm! Umm! And I've traveled 00:01:43.59\00:01:44.76 around and doing cooking schools there 00:01:44.79\00:01:46.61 and teaching people about, people about 00:01:46.64\00:01:48.45 nutrition then lecturers in 00:01:48.48\00:01:50.34 Community Centers. Very good, so you're 00:01:50.37\00:01:53.18 very well trained and with a lot of experience. 00:01:53.21\00:01:57.12 And today you're gonna show us our 00:01:57.15\00:01:58.62 first recipe, which is gonna be. 00:01:58.65\00:02:00.91 Dinner Crumbles. Dinner Crumbles. 00:02:00.94\00:02:02.47 Yeah, our first recipe is Dinner Crumbles. 00:02:02.50\00:02:04.12 Yes, it's very good. So, our first recipe we 00:02:04.15\00:02:06.13 can have the ingredients, there we 00:02:06.16\00:02:07.52 go. The first recipe is Dinner Crumbles. ½ a cup 00:02:07.55\00:02:11.10 of raw brown lentils, ground, you 00:02:11.13\00:02:13.62 can use a coffee grinder. 1 can of 00:02:13.65\00:02:15.99 tomatoes, with the juice. 1 ½ cups water. 00:02:16.02\00:02:20.15 ½ teaspoon garlic powder. 1 teaspoon of 00:02:20.18\00:02:25.05 onion powder. 1 large onion, sautéed and 00:02:25.08\00:02:29.48 sautéing is optional. 1 ½ cup of ground 00:02:29.51\00:02:32.74 walnuts or pecans, also optional. 3-4 00:02:32.77\00:02:38.28 cubes or tablespoons of beef bouillon. And 00:02:38.31\00:02:41.96 2 cups of bulgur wheat. Alright. So, very good. 00:02:41.99\00:02:46.99 We have our blender here. We're gonna 00:02:47.02\00:02:48.74 blend some of these ingredients up, 00:02:48.77\00:02:50.36 depending on the size of your blenders how 00:02:50.39\00:02:52.09 many of the ingredients you can 00:02:52.12\00:02:53.09 put in the blender. Umm! Umm! 00:02:53.11\00:02:54.46 So, you can either grind them up ahead 00:02:54.49\00:02:55.73 of time and just put them in the pan, if 00:02:55.76\00:02:57.24 your blender isn't very big, like we have the 00:02:57.27\00:02:59.13 walnuts all chopped or if you got a large 00:02:59.16\00:03:01.24 blender you can do this in steps, you can 00:03:01.27\00:03:03.48 just throw the walnuts in whole, you don't 00:03:03.51\00:03:05.11 need to take the time to grind them first. 00:03:05.14\00:03:06.67 Oh, okay. So, that saves some time too. 00:03:06.70\00:03:08.94 Yeah. Okay. So, our first 00:03:08.97\00:03:10.48 ingredient is our tomatoes. 00:03:10.51\00:03:11.99 And, you can use whole tomatoes, diced 00:03:12.02\00:03:15.87 ones, crushing in a blender, so it doesn't 00:03:15.90\00:03:17.34 matter.Yes. What shape or size 00:03:17.37\00:03:19.09 they are in. Umm! Umm! 00:03:19.12\00:03:20.21 You wanna add our water. Oh, water and I will 00:03:20.24\00:03:22.96 help you with that, all of it. 00:03:22.99\00:03:26.27 Lets just see how much more we got in 00:03:26.30\00:03:27.96 this blender. I think that can. Oh, 00:03:27.99\00:03:29.19 we can get all of that in there. 00:03:29.22\00:03:30.19 Alright, we've some ground lentils. 00:03:30.20\00:03:32.35 So, this are some ground lentils. 00:03:32.38\00:03:33.52 Now, the lentils you to do want to grind 00:03:33.55\00:03:35.04 because if these were whole dry lentils they 00:03:35.07\00:03:38.36 would not grind in that blender very well. 00:03:38.39\00:03:40.33 Umm! Umm! With this liquid. So, 00:03:40.36\00:03:42.09 we want to make sure it's ground. 00:03:42.12\00:03:43.31 Oh, I see. Alright. So, grind them ahead 00:03:43.34\00:03:45.16 of time. Yeah, and we can use 00:03:45.19\00:03:46.22 that coffee grinder to do that. 00:03:46.25\00:03:48.14 Okay. Alright. And, we're going to 00:03:48.17\00:03:50.21 blend before we add the others. 00:03:50.24\00:03:51.84 In this seasoning. I don't know how 00:03:51.87\00:03:53.92 much room before we can start here. 00:03:53.95\00:03:56.48 Okay, alright. And, we'll put up, 00:03:56.51\00:04:00.71 we're using cubes of Bouillon and so I 00:04:00.74\00:04:02.24 think we'll go ahead and put those in, so. 00:04:02.27\00:04:04.34 Put those in also. And, you can use any 00:04:04.37\00:04:08.30 of your, the beef bouillon and that you 00:04:08.33\00:04:11.73 like, whatever is your. And, these ones you 00:04:11.76\00:04:13.32 don't have to decide them ahead of time. 00:04:13.35\00:04:16.44 Because we're gonna blend them there. 00:04:16.47\00:04:17.88 Because we're gonna blend them. That's 00:04:17.91\00:04:19.25 right. So, we're gonna go ahead. 00:04:19.28\00:04:20.69 It's much easier and faster. 00:04:20.72\00:04:21.78 We're going to go ahead and blend this 00:04:21.81\00:04:22.78 up, alright. Alright, that's some 00:04:22.79\00:04:35.93 hard consistency. Okay. We will get our pan on. 00:04:35.96\00:04:40.17 Alright. Maybe I'll mention 00:04:40.20\00:04:44.36 bulgur, there is bulgur and there is cracked 00:04:44.39\00:04:47.96 wheat. And, there is a difference between 00:04:47.99\00:04:50.38 the two. Bulgur has been steamed, so 00:04:50.41\00:04:53.54 already precooked and then they dry it 00:04:53.57\00:04:55.50 and then they package it for us. So, it's 00:04:55.53\00:04:57.95 already been precooked. Umm! Umm! 00:04:57.98\00:04:58.95 You could use cracked wheat 00:04:58.96\00:05:01.14 because this recipe will be cooked for 00:05:01.17\00:05:02.96 about 45 minutes to an hour.Yes. 00:05:02.99\00:05:05.05 So, it would have time to cook you may 00:05:05.08\00:05:06.79 need more liquid. In this case we're using 00:05:06.82\00:05:08.88 bulgur, so it's already been precooked. So, 00:05:08.91\00:05:11.29 we won't need quite as much liquid, but 00:05:11.32\00:05:12.39 this is gonna absorb all of this liquid up. 00:05:12.42\00:05:14.33 Okay. So, I'll go ahead and 00:05:14.36\00:05:16.66 put that, we can put all the ingredients in 00:05:16.69\00:05:18.94 our pan. And in the pan. 00:05:18.97\00:05:20.55 We got our onions. And your nuts. 00:05:20.58\00:05:24.32 And our walnuts. We can go ahead and put 00:05:24.35\00:05:28.42 this right in the pan. Just like that. 00:05:28.45\00:05:33.20 This is very interesting because 00:05:33.23\00:05:34.99 you're doing all of them. I would think 00:05:35.02\00:05:36.79 that you would have blend everything. 00:05:36.82\00:05:38.43 Well, you don't want it too smooth, because 00:05:38.46\00:05:40.12 this is gonna mimic ground beef. 00:05:40.15\00:05:42.50 Okay. So, you can use it in 00:05:42.53\00:05:44.31 recipes where you've ground beef. So, it is 00:05:44.34\00:05:49.09 gonna have, stir this up. 00:05:49.12\00:05:50.40 And gonna, how long does this take? 00:05:50.43\00:05:54.16 This takes about 45 minutes and you don't 00:05:54.19\00:05:56.84 have to sit here and stir it all the time, 00:05:56.87\00:05:58.38 we're just gonna get it mixed up. 00:05:58.41\00:05:59.58 Yeah, once, once it's mixed, you can just 00:05:59.61\00:06:01.76 leave it. You can just leave it 00:06:01.79\00:06:02.82 and then you wanna check it every five or 00:06:02.85\00:06:04.43 ten minutes.Yeah. You want to check it 00:06:04.46\00:06:06.33 and stir it. And we'll just get this all mixed 00:06:06.36\00:06:10.29 in, so that the bulgur is all coated. 00:06:10.32\00:06:12.46 Umm! Umm! We don't want any 00:06:12.49\00:06:15.28 dry pieces or else we've a crunchy piece 00:06:15.31\00:06:17.06 in there. Right. And, then you're not 00:06:17.09\00:06:20.81 gonna have a very nice texture. 00:06:20.84\00:06:22.43 Yeah, this is very nice, it goes specially 00:06:22.46\00:06:25.11 with people that are making are a decision 00:06:25.14\00:06:27.97 from regular meat to vegetarian meat. 00:06:28.00\00:06:32.49 Yeah, and the nice thing this. Enjoy these. 00:06:32.52\00:06:35.05 The nice thing about these recipe is that it's 00:06:35.08\00:06:37.99 every inexpensive and bulgurs is available 00:06:38.02\00:06:40.27 all over. Umm! Umm! 00:06:40.30\00:06:41.70 All over the world that you can usually 00:06:41.73\00:06:42.70 find bulgur or cracked wheat. So, it's a very 00:06:42.72\00:06:44.74 easy recipe to do in any part of the 00:06:44.77\00:06:47.61 country or the world because the 00:06:47.64\00:06:50.60 ingredients are available. Umm! Umm! 00:06:50.63\00:06:52.26 Unlike some of the, the transitional meats 00:06:52.29\00:06:54.29 that we often find in the stores, those are 00:06:54.32\00:06:57.21 often expensive and some people can't 00:06:57.24\00:06:58.83 afford those products on a daily basis or 00:06:58.86\00:07:01.29 they can't find them. Yes and they' not 00:07:01.32\00:07:03.76 necessarily healthy too. Right, and these is, and 00:07:03.79\00:07:04.76 they're hard to find. So, it's really nice 00:07:04.77\00:07:06.82 really to have something that they 00:07:06.85\00:07:08.48 can just do and this freezes really well, 00:07:08.51\00:07:10.85 we're not gonna sit here and watch this 00:07:10.88\00:07:12.32 cook. So, I do have the finished some 00:07:12.35\00:07:14.76 crumbles. So, that you can see. 00:07:14.79\00:07:16.98 Very good. See how crumbly it 00:07:17.01\00:07:18.84 goes, it goes very. Delicious like meat, 00:07:18.87\00:07:22.32 ground meat. Yeah, you can use it 00:07:22.35\00:07:23.88 in meat balls or however you would 00:07:23.91\00:07:25.52 use ground beef and you can use it in little 00:07:25.55\00:07:28.91 turnovers you know, make a pastry and put 00:07:28.94\00:07:31.07 that in with some, with some carrots and 00:07:31.10\00:07:33.42 onions and make little turnovers, you could 00:07:33.45\00:07:36.21 put it in muffins, well however you like to 00:07:36.24\00:07:38.16 make little meat muffins. 00:07:38.19\00:07:39.36 Very good. I like this recipe, I think that 00:07:39.39\00:07:43.16 many people are going to be happy 00:07:43.19\00:07:44.42 with this because especially what you 00:07:44.45\00:07:47.34 say before that the ingredients you've 00:07:47.37\00:07:49.20 onions everywhere, you've your nuts, you 00:07:49.23\00:07:52.55 can find too and the bulgur is easy to find 00:07:52.58\00:07:55.74 so, tomatoes definitely. Yeah. 00:07:55.77\00:07:58.15 All over the world. So, very good, thank you. 00:07:58.18\00:08:02.19 So, we're going to the next recipe. 00:08:02.22\00:08:04.56 Yes to the next recipe. Alright. It is, yes. 00:09:02.45\00:09:04.20 Wow! Okay, And, we're gonna be 00:09:04.23\00:09:05.20 using, we're gonna be using gluten flour, 00:09:05.21\00:09:07.54 which once again is high in tryptophan. 00:09:07.57\00:09:09.21 Umm! Umm! And protein. So, first 00:09:09.24\00:09:10.96 what we're gonna do is we'll make our 00:09:10.99\00:09:11.96 Broth and just set it aside, so its ready to go. 00:09:11.97\00:09:13.80 So, we put out these ingredients. 00:09:13.83\00:09:15.45 Right, we've a, we've 4 ½ cups of water, 00:09:15.48\00:09:18.38 2 tablespoons of chicken seasoning. 00:09:18.41\00:09:20.94 Chicken seasoning. And then we're gonna 00:09:41.51\00:09:45.10 start with the main nuggets. 00:09:45.13\00:09:47.57 Okay. Alright, we're gonna 00:09:47.60\00:09:51.81 put in our gluten flour. Okay, so we want to 00:09:51.84\00:09:54.62 put in dry ingredients first or. That's right. 00:09:54.65\00:09:57.88 Okay, one more time we could finish with this. 00:09:57.91\00:10:01.18 We're gonna add the whole wheat flour and 00:10:01.21\00:10:05.97 the onion powder and garlic powder and the 00:10:06.00\00:10:08.64 seasonings and some beef seasonings. Irma, if you would 00:10:13.25\00:10:16.26 like to add our 2 ½ cups of lukewarm water. 00:10:16.29\00:10:19.49 Okay. Slowly while you mix. 00:10:19.52\00:10:22.78 Sure, you can add it right in, be good. 00:10:22.81\00:10:26.83 Keep going, right in. Okay. Alright. 00:10:26.86\00:10:32.92 Alright, we'll just mix this up. And, I've 00:10:32.95\00:10:34.52 found that in different altitudes you may 00:10:34.55\00:10:36.81 need more or less water. Oh, oh. 00:10:36.84\00:10:38.99 So, looks like we'll need a little more 00:10:39.02\00:10:41.50 water, so it's a little more water in there. 00:10:41.53\00:10:43.54 And, then continue that. Yeah, 00:10:43.57\00:10:49.92 keep going. 00:10:50.58\00:10:51.55 That looks very great. Thank you. Alright 00:10:51.56\00:10:56.07 now, this is the kind of recipe where you're 00:10:56.10\00:10:57.51 gonna have to get your hands dirty, so 00:10:57.54\00:10:59.34 kids love this recipe. We'll bring my son. 00:10:59.37\00:11:01.87 My son, my son loves this recipe, I've 00:11:01.90\00:11:03.28 actually done cooking schools for children 00:11:03.31\00:11:06.20 and cooking with them for children and 00:11:06.23\00:11:08.64 the children love this recipe, they can get in 00:11:08.67\00:11:11.00 there and make little nuggets because it's 00:11:11.03\00:11:12.42 very simple to make and they quite enjoy 00:11:12.45\00:11:14.61 it, and they'll enjoy. Yes, I can imagine. 00:11:14.64\00:11:16.33 So, we'll go ahead and set that aside for. 00:11:16.36\00:11:18.81 They can get their hands dirty too, if 00:11:18.84\00:11:20.49 they like. Yeah, and the 00:11:20.52\00:11:21.87 interesting thing about gluten flour for those 00:11:21.90\00:11:23.23 of who have never used gluten flour 00:11:23.26\00:11:24.71 before, is it looks gluey but it's not 00:11:24.74\00:11:27.09 really sticky. Umm! Umm! Alright, 00:11:27.12\00:11:29.66 it's true. So, it looks like this 00:11:29.69\00:11:32.44 consistency and we will just go ahead and 00:11:32.47\00:11:36.50 spray your pan. You'll use two 9/13 00:11:36.53\00:11:39.75 pans, spread it like non stick spray. Lets 00:11:39.78\00:11:45.30 make some room here so you can see what 00:11:45.33\00:11:48.24 we're doing. Alright, I'll just take a 00:11:48.27\00:11:51.45 chunk in my hand. Okay. And, you just 00:11:51.48\00:11:53.83 make little. I'm just pulling out a part. 00:11:53.86\00:11:56.00 So easy. See how easy. So and 00:11:56.03\00:11:59.15 then it really doesn't even matter what size 00:11:59.18\00:12:00.76 they are because you can always chop them 00:12:00.79\00:12:02.61 to the right size later, they freeze really 00:12:02.64\00:12:05.38 nicely, you can put them in baggies, it 00:12:05.41\00:12:06.87 will absorb all that Broth and you can be 00:12:06.90\00:12:09.85 able to freeze these, you can just. 00:12:09.88\00:12:11.46 Well, I like to get my hand in that. 00:12:11.49\00:12:12.91 Absolutely, easy, help me out. 00:12:12.94\00:12:15.69 It feels a little funny but. 00:12:15.72\00:12:16.85 I think that's why the kids like it, it's like 00:12:16.88\00:12:20.11 playing with play dough or something. 00:12:20.14\00:12:21.48 You know, that's one thing that when we 00:12:21.51\00:12:24.25 used to make hamburgers with real 00:12:24.28\00:12:26.07 with that real meat. I did not like it, 00:12:26.10\00:12:28.11 because I didn't like to touch it. Right. 00:12:28.14\00:12:30.61 So, it's, 'cause it's a funny feeling. It is. 00:12:30.64\00:12:33.42 But this is easy, so you just put them 00:12:33.45\00:12:35.56 right on top of each other. 00:12:35.59\00:12:36.70 Yeah, I want to do that. Will they stick. 00:12:36.73\00:12:38.47 They don't, they we will do about one 00:12:38.50\00:12:41.50 layer, this pan is not quite large to use it. 00:12:41.53\00:12:43.96 This recipe would fit two 9/13 pans. So, 00:12:43.99\00:12:47.66 that's about as well may be a little more. 00:12:47.69\00:12:50.19 Little more, there you go. I like that. Fill in 00:12:50.22\00:12:54.77 all the holes, that's what I tell my son. 00:12:54.80\00:12:56.97 So, it be better if they're stay in one layer. 00:12:57.00\00:12:59.68 About one layer. Umm! Umm! 00:12:59.71\00:13:01.15 Umm! Umm! Okay, nice. 00:13:01.18\00:13:02.71 Alright, that's looks good. So, now 00:13:02.74\00:13:04.39 normally you would have, normally you 00:13:04.42\00:13:06.52 would have two pans here. We only have 00:13:06.55\00:13:08.42 one. So, I wanna just grab that spoon and 00:13:08.45\00:13:10.12 give this a quick stir. Okay. 00:13:10.15\00:13:12.16 So, we'd only put basically I pour half 00:13:12.19\00:13:14.80 the Broth in one pan and half in the. 00:13:14.83\00:13:16.37 other, half in the other one. So, we will just go ahead 00:13:16.40\00:13:24.00 maybe a little more, look, check the measuring. 00:13:24.03\00:13:27.31 Yeah, I see. Alright, and then we 00:13:27.34\00:13:29.86 would bake that at 350 for about 1 hour, 00:13:29.89\00:13:33.32 and you can switch the pans and you 00:13:33.35\00:13:35.63 wanna switch the pans then one gets 00:13:35.66\00:13:38.35 brown, one doesn't, but I've found in my 00:13:38.38\00:13:40.31 oven, I'm used to using my oven, their 00:13:40.34\00:13:42.93 ovens act a little different. Yes. 00:13:42.96\00:13:44.29 Different places and different ovens act 00:13:44.32\00:13:45.91 differently. Yes. So, you might wanna 00:13:45.94\00:13:46.92 check it the first time you do it, but now 00:13:46.95\00:13:49.15 I've gotten to the place where I can 00:13:49.18\00:13:50.15 pretty much leave this in my oven for one 00:13:50.16\00:13:51.85 hour. I don't have to switch it or stir it or 00:13:51.88\00:13:53.85 anything. Just one hour, you're done. 00:13:53.88\00:13:55.74 In this oven. So, it's really easier, 00:13:55.77\00:13:57.27 something you can prepare really 00:13:57.30\00:13:59.10 quickly, put it in the oven, go sit down, 00:13:59.13\00:14:01.81 relax, read a book, pull it out, let it cool, 00:14:01.84\00:14:04.70 stick it in the freezer. I like that, I think I 00:14:04.73\00:14:07.48 need to give this recipe to my mother, 00:14:07.51\00:14:09.21 because she spends too much time in the 00:14:09.24\00:14:11.12 kitchen, right. She just likes to. 00:14:11.15\00:14:15.00 And for our, and for our viewers that use, 00:14:15.03\00:14:18.71 that kind of have gluten. A substitute 00:14:18.74\00:14:21.29 for this, you can use the same broth, but 00:14:21.32\00:14:23.70 you can use soy curls or soy TVP. Different 00:14:23.73\00:14:27.17 TVPs, TVP means textured vegetable protein. 00:14:27.20\00:14:29.83 Umm! Umm! And, some textured 00:14:29.86\00:14:31.14 vegetable proteins have wheat in them 00:14:31.17\00:14:32.74 and some are all soy, so, if they can't have 00:14:32.77\00:14:35.11 the gluten, they can find a product that's 00:14:35.14\00:14:38.23 just soy. Umm! Umm! 00:14:38.26\00:14:39.23 And, you would, you wouldn't need to mix 00:14:39.24\00:14:40.21 all this, you would just take that soy 00:14:40.22\00:14:41.80 product and go ahead and put in the broth. 00:14:41.83\00:14:44.08 Oh, Wow! So, we just make sure 00:14:44.11\00:14:46.28 that you read the ingredients and. 00:14:46.31\00:14:48.19 And, you probably wouldn't have to bake 00:14:48.22\00:14:49.19 it for an hour. Just bake it until those are 00:14:49.20\00:14:51.22 all absorbed and again stick in the baggies, 00:14:51.25\00:14:52.47 stick in the fridge. And so you can use it 00:14:52.50\00:14:54.92 like you would use chunks of chicken. 00:14:54.95\00:14:56.36 However, however your family recipes 00:14:56.39\00:14:58.68 would, what's your favorite chicken 00:14:58.71\00:15:00.67 recipes, use it on that. Very good, so you 00:15:00.70\00:15:04.54 can even do it like Arroz con pollo. Sure. 00:15:04.57\00:15:08.39 In Spanish. Alright. We do it like Arroz 00:15:08.42\00:15:09.73 con pollo, chicken and rice. 00:15:09.76\00:15:11.46 And I like this. It's really easy. 00:15:11.49\00:15:13.57 Yeah, I like this with barbecue sauce, like 00:15:13.60\00:15:16.24 barbecue chicken nuggets or hot sauce 00:15:16.27\00:15:19.35 or something like that, sweet and sour sauce 00:15:19.38\00:15:21.39 and a stir fry with rice. Great. 00:15:21.42\00:15:24.19 Yeah. Great. 00:15:24.22\00:15:25.19 Very, very, in fact we're gonna show our 00:15:25.20\00:15:27.22 viewers how to use it in vegetable pot pie. 00:15:27.25\00:15:30.03 So, our next recipe is Veggie Pot Pie. 00:15:30.06\00:15:32.43 Oh, excellent, how about reading it. Alright. 00:15:32.46\00:15:34.76 Veggie Pot Pie, the ingredients you will 00:15:34.79\00:15:38.76 need for this recipe. 1½-2 cups of Golden 00:15:38.79\00:15:42.75 Nuggets like we've just made. 3-5 cups of 00:15:42.78\00:15:47.14 diced potatoes. 1 cup of diced carrots. One 00:15:47.17\00:15:51.29 14 ounce can of corn, drained. ½ cup of 00:15:51.32\00:15:56.80 diced onions. ½ of peas, optional. 2 00:15:56.83\00:16:01.68 tablespoons of whole wheat flour or corn 00:16:01.71\00:16:04.24 flour for those of you who are wheat 00:16:04.27\00:16:05.69 intolerant. Two- three tablespoons of 00:16:05.72\00:16:10.23 chicken seasoning. Two- four tablespoons of 00:16:10.26\00:16:13.64 nutritional yeast flakes, optional. Two 00:16:13.67\00:16:16.27 cups of soy milk and pastry, your favorite 00:16:16.30\00:16:19.85 pastry recipe or a low fat cornbread recipe. 00:16:19.88\00:16:23.14 Okay, let's get start and show it. 00:16:23.17\00:16:28.00 Yeah, let's do it. Alright, so we're 00:16:28.03\00:16:29.29 gonna make our veggie pot pie using 00:16:29.32\00:16:30.78 the Golden Nuggets that we made earlier. 00:16:30.81\00:16:33.15 Umm! Umm! So, we'll put in our 00:16:33.18\00:16:35.09 Golden Nuggets, and then put in the 00:16:35.12\00:16:37.08 potatoes and these are just washed. 00:16:37.11\00:16:40.73 You just mix right. Yeah, we just wash 00:16:40.76\00:16:46.18 these potatoes and you can use any kind 00:16:46.21\00:16:49.79 of potato, it doesn't have to be red 00:16:49.82\00:16:51.41 potatoes, we used red potatoes because it's 00:16:51.44\00:16:53.20 nice and fast and easy. Yeah. 00:16:53.23\00:16:54.74 And you will have peel them. Yeah. 00:16:54.77\00:16:58.32 Alright. Very good. Carrots. Onions. Onions. 00:16:58.35\00:17:01.74 Right, yeah. I like red onions, 00:17:01.77\00:17:06.68 cause we finally get a little color. 00:17:06.71\00:17:08.36 I do too, I think it's actually lot of 00:17:08.39\00:17:10.80 different flavor too. Yeah, a little bit of 00:17:10.83\00:17:12.71 flavor and little more nutrition actually, it's 00:17:12.74\00:17:14.93 actually trace amounts of B12 in red onions. 00:17:14.96\00:17:17.98 That's why I use beats. Okay. 00:17:18.01\00:17:19.93 Mix it and flour which will help it to 00:17:19.96\00:17:23.93 thicken. Okay. 00:17:23.96\00:17:25.13 So, lets get that all mixed up, so flour 00:17:25.16\00:17:26.79 coats. Umm! Umm! 00:17:26.82\00:17:28.79 Coats everything else. And, we do that 00:17:28.82\00:17:31.57 before we put the. Before we put the milk. 00:17:31.60\00:17:34.25 The milk. Yeah, alright so that 00:17:34.28\00:17:38.70 looks good. You could probably add 00:17:38.73\00:17:39.71 even more potatoes you know, these is a 00:17:39.74\00:17:41.19 dish that you can just make and decide how, 00:17:41.22\00:17:45.21 what you would like in it. You might put 00:17:45.24\00:17:46.86 some peas in there, and a cup of peas and 00:17:46.89\00:17:49.26 their are still, a friend of mine was still 00:17:49.29\00:17:50.92 getting garden peas out of her garden 00:17:50.95\00:17:52.31 about two weeks ago. Oh. 00:17:52.34\00:17:53.94 So, fresh peas in there. Can, little less 00:17:53.97\00:17:57.26 corn more, more, more carrots, more 00:17:57.29\00:17:59.18 onions whatever you like, whatever. 00:17:59.21\00:18:00.36 So, you can be creative and make 00:18:00.39\00:18:01.89 your own. That's right. 00:18:01.92\00:18:03.15 Things that you like. Right, and again if. 00:18:03.18\00:18:05.30 And change it. And, again if your 00:18:05.33\00:18:07.18 family has allergies, food allergies and you 00:18:07.21\00:18:09.69 can't have the gluten, you can use soy curls 00:18:09.72\00:18:12.19 or soy TVP or something like that. 00:18:12.22\00:18:14.25 Okay. And you can probably 00:18:14.28\00:18:15.25 you can even, you can even 00:18:15.26\00:18:16.23 leave it right out, because the milk will 00:18:16.24\00:18:18.18 fill in the protein, so it's still be a complete 00:18:18.21\00:18:20.58 meal because you have your protein 00:18:20.61\00:18:21.94 from milk. And, if you don't have soy 00:18:21.97\00:18:24.05 then you could use almond milk or rice 00:18:24.08\00:18:27.63 milk or one of those other milks. 00:18:27.66\00:18:29.48 Umm! Umm! Very good. Okay, so let's 00:18:29.51\00:18:32.22 put the milk in. Okay, and I like to 00:18:32.25\00:18:37.12 judge it by how full it looks and you might, 00:18:37.15\00:18:39.57 some people might want it more creamy 00:18:39.60\00:18:41.37 than others. So, you want it real creamy 00:18:41.40\00:18:43.16 and might add another cup of milk to that. 00:18:43.19\00:18:47.05 Just add. Yep. So, why don't we 00:18:47.08\00:18:49.89 spray our pan, give the spray over there. 00:18:49.92\00:18:53.06 Oh, spray this. Alright. Doesn't have to be too 00:18:53.09\00:18:59.24 much right, just enough. Just a little. 00:18:59.27\00:19:01.12 Go ahead, put that in. This looks very good. 00:19:01.15\00:19:08.00 I want to make sure that it, that the milk 00:19:08.03\00:19:11.70 and the sauce is not too high, I've found 00:19:11.73\00:19:14.68 this bubble over in a pan, especially if you 00:19:14.71\00:19:16.59 cook it too hot. And one other thing you 00:19:16.62\00:19:19.69 can do to keep your pan, your oven from 00:19:19.72\00:19:21.74 getting all dirty. Is to put a cookie sheet 00:19:21.77\00:19:23.81 underneath the pan. Yes. 00:19:23.84\00:19:25.47 So that it boils over. Yes. 00:19:25.50\00:19:27.37 Boils around the cookie sheet. 00:19:27.40\00:19:28.39 I've found that out with the apple pie. 00:19:28.42\00:19:30.54 Apple Pie, that's another. You know, I 00:19:30.57\00:19:32.69 used for, when I use for pies, is I use pizza. 00:19:32.72\00:19:36.70 Pizza comes around. Yes. Why don't we just set 00:19:36.73\00:19:40.59 that bowl over there. Okay, let's put this. 00:19:40.62\00:19:42.11 And, we're gonna go ahead and roll our 00:19:42.14\00:19:43.11 pastry out for the topping.
