So stay with us. 00:00:11.80\00:00:14.06 Hello friends and welcome to another program of 00:00:47.50\00:00:49.34 "Lets Cook Together." I am your host Jill Morikone, 00:00:49.37\00:00:52.23 and we have an exciting program planned 00:00:52.26\00:00:54.19 for you today, soup and fixings. 00:00:54.22\00:00:56.42 I think soup is one of my favorite recipes of all. 00:00:56.45\00:00:58.79 So I am excited about today. 00:00:58.82\00:01:00.42 But first I want to introduce you to 00:01:00.45\00:01:02.26 my good friend here. Kyong Weathersby, 00:01:02.29\00:01:04.66 all the way from Mena, Arkansas. Welcome Kyong, 00:01:04.69\00:01:06.59 so glad to have you here with us. 00:01:06.62\00:01:08.34 Yes, thank you for having me. 00:01:08.37\00:01:09.72 Yes, it's always a lot of fun to get to work together. 00:01:10.60\00:01:13.17 Yes, it is. We have a good time. 00:01:13.20\00:01:14.46 Yes, it is. I am looking forward to cooking 00:01:14.49\00:01:15.46 with you every time, yes. That's right. First of 00:01:15.47\00:01:17.72 all tell our friends at home just a little bit 00:01:17.75\00:01:20.01 about your ministry, 'The Taste of Heaven ministry 00:01:20.04\00:01:21.99 ' What does that entail, what do you do? 00:01:22.02\00:01:24.64 Taste of Heaven is actually God inspired me 00:01:24.67\00:01:27.70 about 8 years ago to go out, teach the people 00:01:27.73\00:01:30.46 how to cook healthy, this is what I've been doing. 00:01:30.49\00:01:33.19 Praise God. Now besides going out and going in, 00:01:33.22\00:01:36.14 you know, to churches and schools and other places 00:01:36.17\00:01:39.32 where you share health message, 00:01:39.35\00:01:41.29 and cooking schools and stuff. 00:01:41.32\00:01:42.82 People also come to your home. Tell us about that? 00:01:42.85\00:01:45.29 You know, about a couple of years of ago, 00:01:46.04\00:01:47.96 there is a couple just showing our church and 00:01:47.99\00:01:51.35 they learn about the health message in our church, 00:01:51.38\00:01:54.45 and they want to learn how to cook healthy. 00:01:54.48\00:01:56.15 Now we actually plan about months later, 00:01:56.18\00:01:59.03 we're gonna have a cooking school. Okay. 00:01:59.06\00:02:00.78 But they're just, they don't want to wait until 00:02:00.81\00:02:03.49 two months, so they want to learn right now. 00:02:03.52\00:02:06.32 So I said, why don't you come over my house? 00:02:06.98\00:02:08.70 I will have a cooking school just for you. 00:02:08.73\00:02:10.76 So husband and wife and their mom came over 00:02:11.48\00:02:14.25 and then I had a five recipe. 00:02:14.28\00:02:16.57 I had a cooking school for them. 00:02:16.60\00:02:18.86 Just for the three of them. Yes, yes, you know God, 00:02:18.89\00:02:21.11 Jesus will be out there for just one person. Absolutely. 00:02:21.14\00:02:26.10 So, if there is one person want to learn 00:02:26.13\00:02:28.60 how to cook healthy and I'm more than grateful 00:02:28.63\00:02:30.96 to be there to God's service for them. 00:02:30.99\00:02:33.75 That's right. That's right. It's not about numbers 00:02:33.78\00:02:35.34 I am thinking well I can meet more people this way 00:02:35.37\00:02:37.34 or that way, its just about going out 00:02:37.37\00:02:38.78 and ministering like Jesus. Right, if he just touch 00:02:38.81\00:02:41.40 one person it is worth it. If we can touch millions 00:02:41.43\00:02:45.20 through 3ABN, it's worth it too. 00:02:45.23\00:02:47.29 That's right, praise God. Now you also go to 00:02:47.32\00:02:49.85 people's homes as well if they need extra help. 00:02:49.88\00:02:52.36 Right, teach them as well, if people want to learn 00:02:52.39\00:02:55.18 how to make certain things then I just go 00:02:55.21\00:02:58.37 show them how to make a lot of things, 00:02:58.40\00:03:00.36 and they will be happy, and this is how you be adapt 00:03:00.39\00:03:05.06 to your friendship if they're not Adventist, 00:03:05.09\00:03:07.26 I mean if they're not Christian, right. 00:03:07.29\00:03:09.38 And I get to share to my faith, right. 00:03:09.41\00:03:11.81 And also share the health ministry. 00:03:11.84\00:03:13.69 That's right, that's right. Because I think if you 00:03:13.72\00:03:15.04 minister to people physically then spiritually 00:03:15.07\00:03:19.06 they're more open to the Gospel. Yes. 00:03:19.09\00:03:20.66 Absolutely. Yes, it is. 00:03:20.69\00:03:22.07 That's right, oh it's a wonderful ministry. Amen. 00:03:22.10\00:03:24.50 Yeah, I think so, that's right. I love people. 00:03:24.53\00:03:28.16 Yeah, that's right. She does, it really shows. 00:03:28.19\00:03:30.37 Now we are doing soups today. I just love soups, 00:03:30.95\00:03:34.14 so I am really excited about this. 00:03:34.17\00:03:35.21 Let's read our first recipe. 00:03:35.24\00:03:36.43 For the Garden Pasta Soup, you need 00:03:37.75\00:03:39.78 1 cup potatoes, cut into cubes. 1 celery stalk. 00:03:39.81\00:03:43.88 ½ of onion. 1 carrot. ½ cup cabbage. 00:03:43.91\00:03:49.05 1 ½ cup water ½ cup whole wheat pasta. 00:03:49.08\00:03:54.01 1 - 8 oz. can of tomato sauce. 00:03:54.95\00:03:57.33 1 tbsp. of unfermented soy sauce. 00:03:57.99\00:04:00.90 1/4 tsp. sea salt. 1 tsp. garlic powder. 00:04:01.61\00:04:06.68 1 tbsp. nutritional yeast flakes. 00:04:07.25\00:04:10.88 Okay, that's nice and easy and you can use 00:04:11.85\00:04:13.70 all the ingredients from the garden. Yeah. 00:04:13.73\00:04:15.57 I like that. You know when I created this recipe 00:04:16.46\00:04:19.57 I said whoa! What am I going to name the recipe. 00:04:19.60\00:04:23.58 Then I said, oh! They're all from the 00:04:23.61\00:04:25.58 garden and pasta, so Garden Pasta Soup. 00:04:25.61\00:04:28.44 That's right. I really like the name. 00:04:28.47\00:04:29.67 Yeah, that's right. I like it too. 00:04:29.70\00:04:30.80 Okay, so first of all what we need to do, 00:04:30.83\00:04:33.06 I already cut potato in the water, 00:04:33.09\00:04:36.50 so this is 1 ½ cup of water here. Okay. I am 00:04:37.08\00:04:38.98 going to boil. Actually, I was looking for smaller 00:04:39.01\00:04:42.66 pot but I couldn't find it, so I am going to 00:04:42.69\00:04:45.49 use the larger one. Okay. 00:04:45.52\00:04:47.04 And I will need a 1 stalk celery, 00:04:47.07\00:04:49.59 so I will show you how to cut it. 00:04:49.62\00:04:51.22 Now you can even double this recipe or 00:04:51.25\00:04:53.69 triple it or something if you want it more. 00:04:53.72\00:04:55.17 Sure, sure. A bigger recipe, okay. 00:04:55.20\00:04:57.00 Yeah, when you have my cook books actually 00:04:57.03\00:05:00.43 this is the health portion for my recipe. 00:05:00.46\00:05:03.11 Okay, so you cut it in half. 00:05:03.14\00:05:05.42 Cut it in this most, this is the celery, 00:05:05.45\00:05:07.66 and the celeries I just found that there when 00:05:09.96\00:05:14.67 you have four sticks of celery a day, 00:05:14.70\00:05:17.57 it may help you lower your blood pressures. 00:05:18.13\00:05:20.15 Oh! That's good, and celery is 00:05:20.18\00:05:21.67 good for you anyway, right. 00:05:21.70\00:05:22.71 And also it's very high in antioxidant. 00:05:22.74\00:05:25.97 Antioxidant is like cancer fighter. Okay. 00:05:26.00\00:05:29.84 That's right, antioxidant, that's right. 00:05:29.87\00:05:31.92 They're good for you. It's very high 00:05:31.95\00:05:34.59 in antioxidant also. That's good. 00:05:34.62\00:05:36.86 These carrots also help you to lower cholesterol. 00:05:36.89\00:05:40.59 Yes. And very high in antioxidants. Oh! 00:05:40.62\00:05:43.94 Yeah. In fight from cancer. It has vitamin A too, right. 00:05:43.97\00:05:46.65 Vitamin A just really good for your eyes. 00:05:46.68\00:05:49.37 It's good. So you just cut it any size. 00:05:49.40\00:05:51.45 This happens to all. Yeah. I lost there, yeah. 00:05:53.84\00:05:56.67 Now this tastes really good, that's right. 00:05:57.64\00:05:59.82 And if anybody had ulcer, this is supposed 00:06:00.85\00:06:04.62 to be good for your ulcer. Okay. 00:06:04.65\00:06:06.05 Then I am going to go ahead cut some onion. 00:06:06.08\00:06:09.62 Alright, now this onion you cut in half already here. 00:06:09.65\00:06:12.28 Yes, you will need just a half onion. 00:06:12.31\00:06:14.79 So I just cut it more pieces here, 00:06:15.61\00:06:17.50 just be careful when you work with knife. 00:06:18.33\00:06:20.53 That's right. Okay, I will just go and 00:06:21.22\00:06:24.44 put it all in here. Okay. 00:06:24.47\00:06:26.47 And I just need only half cup cabbage, 00:06:26.50\00:06:30.35 half cup cabbage. I don't think this is more 00:06:30.38\00:06:31.77 than half cup cabbage. Okay. So I just slice it. Okay. 00:06:31.80\00:06:35.92 And the cabbage is also very high in antioxidant. 00:06:36.83\00:06:40.60 Yes, oh! Yes. And also really good for ulcers, 00:06:40.63\00:06:45.02 that's right. Anybody had a stomach problem, 00:06:45.05\00:06:47.18 that's right, you can eat a lot of cabbage. 00:06:47.21\00:06:48.39 I know I have taken cabbage before 00:06:48.42\00:06:49.79 for my stomach itself. The chopping is done. 00:06:49.82\00:06:51.64 Okay, that's good. So I'm going to put some pasta. 00:06:51.67\00:06:54.90 I'm going to use the shell pasta. I like 00:06:54.93\00:06:58.43 that, it's really cute. I like the shell pasta. 00:06:58.63\00:07:00.72 Then I will use one 8oz. tomato sauce, and 00:07:00.75\00:07:07.09 then soy sauce. This is unfermented soy sauce, 00:07:09.37\00:07:13.02 very good, and next one I will need is sea salt, 00:07:13.05\00:07:16.16 yeah, so. And the unfermented soy sauce, 00:07:17.04\00:07:18.97 you just look for any in the store that says 00:07:19.00\00:07:20.70 it's not fermented. Yeah. Right, okay, 00:07:20.73\00:07:22.41 so it's easy to find it in the store. 00:07:22.44\00:07:24.00 So when you fix the soup or anything it's always 00:07:24.03\00:07:26.48 good to share, I mean to mix with the soy sauce, 00:07:26.51\00:07:29.89 and then salt to make taste really good. 00:07:29.92\00:07:31.62 Yeah, that's right. And I'm going to put some 00:07:31.65\00:07:33.89 garlic powder, but if you like to put some 00:07:33.92\00:07:36.16 fresh garlic you can, better. Right, good. And 00:07:36.19\00:07:39.31 nutritional yeast flakes and this is just the B1, 00:07:39.34\00:07:43.55 B2, B6, B12 which is really good for your 00:07:43.58\00:07:46.81 nervous system. Right, it's different than say 00:07:46.84\00:07:49.23 the yeast that's used in rice bread or something. 00:07:49.26\00:07:51.68 Oh! No it's totally different like. 00:07:51.71\00:07:53.21 Then after that go and put it on the stove top, 00:07:53.80\00:07:56.78 and you just cook for about 20 minutes. 00:07:56.81\00:08:00.83 Okay. Then it will be come out really delicious. 00:08:01.51\00:08:06.44 Oh! Very nice. It looks good. 00:08:06.47\00:08:08.12 It looks good, oh yeah I like anything 00:08:08.15\00:08:09.81 with vegetables really. I know that 00:08:09.84\00:08:12.28 you love vegetables. I do vegetables, yeah. 00:08:12.31\00:08:15.34 One thing I want to share with you that potato 00:08:16.01\00:08:18.84 is the stomach's best friend. So if anybody have 00:08:18.87\00:08:22.60 a stomach problems, eat some lots and lots 00:08:22.63\00:08:26.08 of potatoes. Also potato contains no fat whatsoever, 00:08:26.11\00:08:30.75 so if you want to lose weight, eat potato. 00:08:30.78\00:08:33.19 It's a good thing to eat potato. 00:08:33.22\00:08:34.43 And high in potassium, so which is really good 00:08:34.46\00:08:36.30 for regulating your heart beat and the water 00:08:36.33\00:08:40.33 weight in your body, and it's really good for you. 00:08:40.36\00:08:43.38 Yeah, and the vegetables are low in fat too so, 00:08:43.41\00:08:46.17 you know, it's really a low fat. That's 00:08:46.20\00:08:47.89 right, so it's actually it's like a low fat 00:08:47.92\00:08:50.29 dishes and delicious and it's good for you. 00:08:50.32\00:08:53.57 Oh! Yeah, absolutely. I like that very much. 00:08:53.60\00:08:57.17 I can smell it. Now you cook it about 00:08:57.20\00:08:58.17 20 minutes you said. Yeah, 20 minutes. 00:08:58.18\00:09:00.40 Okay, you put the cover on, bring it to a boil, 00:09:00.43\00:09:02.78 and then turn it down type of thing or you move 00:09:02.81\00:09:05.08 the cover off when you cook it. 00:09:05.11\00:09:06.50 I am really afraid that when you put the cover on, 00:09:06.53\00:09:08.47 it might boil over. So once you turn it up 00:09:08.50\00:09:12.44 and watch it then reduce the heat when it start 00:09:12.47\00:09:16.58 to boil and reduce and then put the cover on, 00:09:16.61\00:09:19.71 then simmer for about 20 minutes until 00:09:20.47\00:09:22.72 everything nice and tender. That's right. 00:09:22.75\00:09:24.36 And all the flavor just mix it in together. 00:09:24.39\00:09:28.04 Oh yeah, that's right. It will taste really good. 00:09:28.07\00:09:29.76 Oh! Yeah. Now we will show you how the finished 00:09:29.79\00:09:33.42 product look like at the end of the program. 00:09:33.45\00:09:35.62 When it's all done cooking? Stand by. 00:09:35.65\00:09:37.83 That's right, that's right, that's good. 00:09:37.86\00:09:39.52 Now you could do is I like this because in the summer 00:09:40.16\00:09:41.70 you can just go out to your garden and just 00:09:41.73\00:09:44.17 pluck all those vegetables and put them 00:09:44.20\00:09:45.94 in your soup or in the winter time, 00:09:45.97\00:09:47.74 I love soup in the winter 'cause it's cold and it just 00:09:47.77\00:09:50.57 warms you up inside. That's right, that's right. 00:09:50.60\00:09:53.54 Right now it's actually really good if you have 00:09:53.57\00:09:57.65 garden you love to plant like cabbages, carrots, 00:09:57.68\00:10:01.58 and which is so you can grow organic ways, 00:10:02.53\00:10:04.73 so you don't have to worry about all day. 00:10:04.76\00:10:06.70 That's right. Chemicals they put in. 00:10:06.73\00:10:08.70 That's right, you know exactly what's in your 00:10:08.73\00:10:10.65 food if you grow it. Yeah, that's so true. 00:10:10.68\00:10:13.61 Of course, everybody can't and so that's okay too, 00:10:13.64\00:10:14.81 you know, you can go to the grocery store 00:10:14.84\00:10:16.31 and buy it and that's a good thing too. 00:10:16.34\00:10:17.68 Yeah, if you can't grow because you're living 00:10:17.71\00:10:19.98 in big city, right. Then you know, 00:10:20.01\00:10:22.15 there you can find a lot of good, 00:10:22.18\00:10:23.59 organic vegetables at the grocery, 00:10:23.62\00:10:26.24 I mean the grocery store. That's right, okay. 00:10:26.27\00:10:28.45 We're making something to go with our soup. 00:10:28.48\00:10:30.58 That's right. Its cornbread. That's right, cornbread. 00:10:30.61\00:10:33.24 Good, let's read our recipe for a cornbread. 00:10:33.27\00:10:35.42 For the Deluxe cornbread you need: 00:10:36.91\00:10:38.19 1 cup cornmeal 1 cup unbleached white flour 00:10:38.22\00:10:41.93 2 tbsp. wheat germ 1/4 cup turbinado sugar 00:10:42.93\00:10:47.15 1 tbsp. baking powder 1 tsp. sea salt 00:10:48.23\00:10:52.07 1 tbsp. soy or tapioca flour ½ cup canola oil, and 00:10:53.29\00:10:59.78 1 cup soy milk, I think cornbread goes really 00:10:59.81\00:11:05.16 well with soup. Yes. Soup and cornbread 00:11:05.19\00:11:07.17 just go together. That's right. Yeah, that's right. 00:11:07.20\00:11:09.23 So, when I prepare for this program I say cornbread 00:11:09.26\00:11:12.86 got to go with the soup. That's right, 00:11:12.89\00:11:14.65 I think cornbread goes with soup, yeah. 00:11:14.68\00:11:16.27 So, okay, let me go ahead and start. Yes. 00:11:16.30\00:11:18.88 At first you will need the cornmeal, 00:11:18.91\00:11:20.86 so 1 cup cornmeal. The cornmeal contains, 00:11:21.68\00:11:25.40 they're high in fiber, potassium and iron, 00:11:25.43\00:11:27.70 yes, yes, fiber, and I said a fiber didn't I? 00:11:27.73\00:11:31.04 Yeah, the fiber and I like cornmeal too, 00:11:31.07\00:11:32.55 it just taste really good. Yes, this is unbleached 00:11:32.58\00:11:34.67 white flour, good, that because of the unbleached 00:11:34.70\00:11:37.34 white flour then I'm adding some wheat germs. 00:11:37.37\00:11:39.95 Oh! That's good. You want to add some nutrition 00:11:39.98\00:11:42.24 back in there. That's right, and probably you want 00:11:42.27\00:11:45.06 to know why don't we use whole wheat flour, yes. 00:11:45.09\00:11:47.61 Then it will come out a little tough, 00:11:47.64\00:11:49.77 so I want a soft cornbread, don't you? 00:11:49.80\00:11:52.62 Oh! Yeah. Okay, now I'm adding a turbinado sugar 00:11:52.65\00:11:56.91 which is like a raw kind of sugar. 00:11:56.94\00:11:59.65 Right, healthier kind of sugar. 00:11:59.68\00:12:01.05 Healthier, and it has some more potassium 00:12:01.08\00:12:03.60 and calcium, iron, magnesium, and nutrient. 00:12:03.63\00:12:08.04 I am adding baking powder, oh, anyway. 00:12:08.80\00:12:11.24 Okay, it's a type of baking powder, 00:12:11.94\00:12:13.29 but if you can't get that baking powder just 00:12:13.32\00:12:14.92 look in your local grocery store, 00:12:14.95\00:12:16.22 and we're looking for baking powder 00:12:16.25\00:12:17.65 that does not have baking soda. Right. 00:12:17.68\00:12:19.52 And that doesn't have aluminum, 00:12:19.55\00:12:21.18 so just check at your grocery store for that, 00:12:21.21\00:12:22.74 and then you know what to get, okay. 00:12:22.77\00:12:24.54 And the sea salt, yeah, and the soy flour, okay. 00:12:24.57\00:12:29.47 Most of, for cornbread you will need to add some, 00:12:30.16\00:12:34.87 I am using a soy flour to bind it. 00:12:34.90\00:12:39.62 Okay, so that's gonna hold it together 00:12:39.65\00:12:41.41 so it doesn't fall apart, right. 00:12:41.44\00:12:42.71 That's a good thing. Yeah, right. 00:12:42.74\00:12:44.14 If you can get soy flour and you can get tapioca, 00:12:44.17\00:12:47.52 tapioca flour works like a binding. 00:12:47.55\00:12:50.11 So that works as well. That's right. 00:12:50.14\00:12:51.11 Kyong, where do we do find soy flour? 00:12:51.12\00:12:52.39 You have to look in the health food store 00:12:52.42\00:12:53.44 or can you get it in your local grocery store? 00:12:53.47\00:12:55.31 You know God is so good and now you can just 00:12:55.34\00:12:58.17 find soy flour and tapioca flour in the grocery store. 00:12:58.20\00:13:02.17 In the local grocery store. 00:13:02.20\00:13:03.23 Yeah, in the local grocery store, it's a good place. 00:13:04.08\00:13:05.05 That is, that's right. Soup is boiling. 00:13:05.06\00:13:08.55 It is. Oh! It smells so good. 00:13:08.58\00:13:10.21 It smells so good. I have to check once in a while. 00:13:10.24\00:13:12.66 It makes me want to eat it now. 00:13:12.69\00:13:13.96 Okay, I am going go ahead and mix these dry 00:13:13.99\00:13:16.35 ingredients first, then I will add some soy milk, 00:13:16.38\00:13:22.55 good, it's from soy bean, yeah. 00:13:22.58\00:13:25.80 And I need a spoon and this is canola oil, yes. 00:13:27.61\00:13:31.07 And if you don't like canola oil, somehow 00:13:31.10\00:13:34.43 you're watching oil contents, 00:13:34.46\00:13:37.07 then you can use like a apple sauce. 00:13:37.10\00:13:41.29 You can use the same amount of apple sauce 00:13:42.27\00:13:44.26 then it will be kind of a heavy cornbread, 00:13:44.29\00:13:48.66 because you know apple sauce kind of heavy. 00:13:48.69\00:13:50.28 It's a little more heavy than the oil. Yeah. 00:13:50.31\00:13:52.00 But it still would work. Right, it will work. 00:13:52.03\00:13:53.60 If our friends can't have the oil for some reason. 00:13:53.63\00:13:55.42 Right, this also is lighter too. 00:13:55.45\00:13:57.51 Yeah, oh! Yeah, that's right. 00:13:57.54\00:13:59.96 This cornbread actually is really delicious. 00:14:00.99\00:14:04.88 That looks good. So this I why I call it 00:14:04.91\00:14:06.37 deluxe cornbread. That's right. 00:14:06.40\00:14:08.41 And in our, where I live in Mena, Arkansas, yes, 00:14:09.08\00:14:12.58 and they have a newspaper. 00:14:12.61\00:14:14.05 So once in a while they like to put my recipe 00:14:14.64\00:14:17.29 in the newspaper. Yes, yes, now this is amazing 00:14:17.32\00:14:20.24 to me because this newspaper is a secular 00:14:20.27\00:14:23.00 newspaper. It's not Christian, 00:14:23.03\00:14:24.98 it's just the local newspaper there, right, 00:14:25.01\00:14:26.83 right, and they asked you to write 00:14:26.86\00:14:29.68 like a weekly article, was it? Yeah. 00:14:29.71\00:14:31.58 About the 8 laws of health, yeah, 00:14:31.61\00:14:33.63 that's amazing. This is God thing. 00:14:33.66\00:14:36.12 That's right. Yeah, so like exercise would be 00:14:36.15\00:14:39.56 one and then fresh air or nutrition. 00:14:39.59\00:14:42.64 Nutrition, that's what we're doing here 00:14:42.67\00:14:44.00 with the diet, right. That's right. 00:14:44.03\00:14:45.78 Okay. So you mix this. Mix it all together and 00:14:45.81\00:14:49.50 this is like a 9 inches pie dishes or cake dishes. 00:14:49.53\00:14:54.53 And now we go ahead and just could you help me, 00:14:55.44\00:14:58.28 yes. This is kind of heavy. There we go. 00:14:58.31\00:14:59.87 Just pour in here. Oh! It looks good, 00:15:01.62\00:15:04.01 and what do we bake it for? 00:15:04.04\00:15:05.57 400 degrees, okay, for 25 minutes until nice 00:15:06.36\00:15:10.49 and golden brown. Yes, it's like making cake Kyong, 00:15:10.52\00:15:14.55 where you put a toothpick in the middle 00:15:14.58\00:15:15.66 to see if it comes out clean, yes. 00:15:15.69\00:15:17.09 Same type of thing with the cornbread. 00:15:17.12\00:15:18.78 But when you follow the direction that could 00:15:18.81\00:15:21.43 bake at 400 degrees for 25 minutes, 00:15:21.46\00:15:23.94 it will come out nice and dark. 00:15:23.97\00:15:25.92 Oh! Okay, so it's the perfect time. 00:15:25.95\00:15:28.24 Yeah. And if you would like the crispy cornbread 00:15:28.27\00:15:34.30 then you can bake it a little longer, 00:15:34.33\00:15:35.71 yeah and now always I spend time and the 00:15:35.74\00:15:38.50 finish product. Make sure that this is what 00:15:38.53\00:15:40.63 you're gonna see when it come out from oven, 00:15:40.66\00:15:42.43 yes. So, it will take some time to make 00:15:42.46\00:15:44.76 it nice and neat. Don't just throw it in there. 00:15:44.79\00:15:47.44 Smooth up the top real pretty, right, 00:15:48.80\00:15:50.49 and we have our finished product. 00:15:50.52\00:15:51.98 We've got some finished product that 00:15:52.01\00:15:53.83 we can show it to you. Oh doesn't that look good? 00:15:53.86\00:15:56.06 Yeah, this is really good and delicious 00:15:56.09\00:15:58.78 and high in fiber and iron, yeah. So the 00:15:58.81\00:16:01.92 color is good too. I just love the yellow color. 00:16:02.56\00:16:05.22 Greg, my husband Greg, you know, 00:16:05.25\00:16:07.04 he loves cornbread. Oh! I see. 00:16:07.07\00:16:09.47 I make it in a big 13x9 pan, 00:16:09.50\00:16:11.42 yeah and he eats it like a day, 00:16:11.45\00:16:13.60 a day and half I mean I help him too, 00:16:13.63\00:16:15.75 but he just loves it, he can eat it for breakfast, 00:16:17.12\00:16:18.73 lunch, dinner, he just loves cornbread. 00:16:18.76\00:16:20.54 Yeah, I can see that he love cornbread, 00:16:20.57\00:16:23.65 but Greg I got a message for you, 00:16:23.68\00:16:25.26 you need some temperance. 00:16:25.29\00:16:26.61 You know my husband when I make something 00:16:29.19\00:16:31.19 healthy like ice cream, my husband think oh! 00:16:31.22\00:16:34.34 It's good enough to eat everything in one day 00:16:34.37\00:16:37.22 I said, no honey even though good food, 00:16:37.25\00:16:39.16 you shouldn't eat so much, right. 00:16:39.19\00:16:42.30 You need to put temperance. 00:16:42.33\00:16:43.47 There we go temperate moderation. 00:16:43.50\00:16:45.09 Yeah moderation, I think that's right. 00:16:45.12\00:16:47.33 Okay, tell us. And we go, okay, sorry. 00:16:47.36\00:16:50.66 Oh! No, go ahead. I am going to go check my soup, 00:16:50.69\00:16:53.16 wow! Yes. 00:16:57.88\00:16:59.20 Okay, I was going to say, tell us before 00:16:59.23\00:17:01.70 we go to our next recipe a little bit about Donna, 00:17:01.73\00:17:05.14 a lady who asked you. Wasn't her name Donna? 00:17:05.87\00:17:07.60 Yeah, her name is Donna, yeah. 00:17:07.63\00:17:08.90 Tell us about Donna? Now what happened, 00:17:08.93\00:17:10.28 she is not Christian and she's a wealthy lady 00:17:10.31\00:17:14.94 living in the mansion. She like to entertain people, 00:17:14.97\00:17:17.86 so she know about my ministry and want 00:17:18.73\00:17:20.60 to know if I would come. And she's gonna have 00:17:20.63\00:17:23.05 ten guests in her house, so I can come and 00:17:23.08\00:17:25.78 teach them how to cook healthy and feed 00:17:25.81\00:17:28.86 the dinner. So my husband and I went there, 00:17:28.89\00:17:32.42 so we went over there, they're all elegant people, 00:17:32.45\00:17:35.21 came sit around and so. Real wealthy. 00:17:35.24\00:17:38.39 Real wealthy companies, they all came over. 00:17:38.42\00:17:41.67 They learned how to cook healthy way. Wow! 00:17:42.27\00:17:44.35 That's amazing. And they actually loved the food. 00:17:44.38\00:17:47.00 Yeah. And that's the goal. They loved the food 00:17:47.03\00:17:49.70 and they took some cook books with them because 00:17:49.73\00:17:53.19 they want to cook healthy. So praise God. 00:17:53.22\00:17:55.24 That's right, that's right. I think it's so neat 00:17:55.27\00:17:56.71 because so many people are interested in 00:17:56.74\00:17:58.13 this way of cooking, yeah. That's why even could 00:17:58.16\00:17:59.85 see how much it helps your mind be clear 00:17:59.88\00:18:01.85 and helps you feel better. Yeah, that's right. 00:18:01.88\00:18:03.39 So it's a good thing. Good thing, amen. 00:18:03.42\00:18:05.26 Let's go, we're making dessert. 00:18:05.29\00:18:07.01 I love dessert. Let's read our recipe for 00:18:07.04\00:18:09.15 our cookies here. For the Walnut Cookies you need: 00:18:09.18\00:18:12.85 2 1/4 cups unbleached white flour. 1/4 cup wheat germ. 00:18:12.88\00:18:17.79 3/4 cup turbinado sugar. ½ cup soy milk powder. 00:18:18.43\00:18:23.20 ½ cup lecithin granules. ½ tsp. sea salt. 00:18:24.33\00:18:28.94 1 tbsp. baking powder. 1 cup chopped walnuts. 00:18:29.67\00:18:33.36 ½ cup soy milk. ½ cup canola oil and 1 tsp. 00:18:34.17\00:18:40.17 Vanilla. I think besides vegetables, 00:18:42.63\00:18:43.84 desserts is one of my favorite things to eat. 00:18:43.87\00:18:45.67 I know. She knows as well. So this is for you. Yeah. 00:18:45.70\00:18:50.08 And this is for you. Okay, let's go and start. 00:18:50.11\00:18:55.20 This is anyway a very delicious cookie. 00:18:55.83\00:18:58.57 My husband and I really like it. 00:19:00.06\00:19:01.35 So I wanna just show the best one for you. 00:19:01.38\00:19:03.54 Okay. Okay. For I am going to put unbleached 00:19:03.57\00:19:06.34 white flour. Okay, and this is we're using 00:19:06.37\00:19:08.62 unbleached flour kind of like we do with 00:19:08.65\00:19:09.93 cornbread because it makes it lighter, right. 00:19:09.96\00:19:11.85 Right, make it lighter. Then I am going to 00:19:11.88\00:19:14.21 add some wheat germ. Give you some nutrition back. 00:19:14.24\00:19:17.24 Right, you will get vitamin E, and B vitamins 00:19:17.27\00:19:20.46 in there, and the turbinado sugar, yes. 00:19:20.49\00:19:23.74 And if you can't get the turbinado sugar 00:19:23.77\00:19:26.01 maybe just put whatever you can. 00:19:26.04\00:19:28.40 Right, okay. Healthy kind of sugar or maybe if 00:19:28.43\00:19:31.20 you did honey per say could you lessen 00:19:31.23\00:19:33.41 the oil or something to counteract. 00:19:33.44\00:19:34.99 However you have to put the less water or 00:19:35.02\00:19:37.03 soy milk. Okay. You just see it, okay. 00:19:37.06\00:19:38.89 This one going to be really thick batter 00:19:38.92\00:19:41.10 it's not going to be watery batter. 00:19:41.13\00:19:42.49 Okay, you want it thick. Yeah, good, okay this is 00:19:42.52\00:19:44.51 lecithin granule from the soy bean product. Okay. 00:19:44.54\00:19:48.66 So I just use whatever I can use here Yes. Okay. 00:19:48.69\00:19:53.84 That's good. Then, now when it cooks, 00:19:53.87\00:19:56.39 for our friends who aren't familiar with lecithin 00:19:57.22\00:19:58.68 when it cooks the granules would cook up. 00:19:58.71\00:20:01.65 It will melt it, yeah it will melt and you 00:20:01.68\00:20:03.61 won't be able to have these granules in it but 00:20:03.64\00:20:06.00 you will taste it like a butter flavor, okay. 00:20:06.03\00:20:08.53 And you know the lecithin granules actuallyl give you 00:20:08.56\00:20:11.29 good flavor in this cookie. Yeah, that's right, good. 00:20:11.32\00:20:14.21 Okay, I am going to add some walnuts 00:20:14.24\00:20:15.57 and the walnut is very high omega-3, 00:20:15.60\00:20:19.46 and they actually, I'm going to 00:20:19.49\00:20:22.23 just clean my fingers, high in fibers, and iron, 00:20:22.26\00:20:25.33 and calcium, that's good for you, that's good. 00:20:25.36\00:20:28.23 Soy milk powder, yes, it's the soy bean product 00:20:28.26\00:20:31.32 and sea salt, good, and I'm using baking powder 00:20:32.52\00:20:37.05 without baking soda in it and there is no aluminum. 00:20:37.08\00:20:40.05 Okay. No backing soda, no aluminum. Right. 00:20:40.08\00:20:42.43 We can look for that, okay. So this is a healthiest one 00:20:42.46\00:20:44.28 maybe you can find in the market, okay, 00:20:44.31\00:20:46.09 good, and I'm gonna go ahead and mix 00:20:46.12\00:20:47.89 in the dry ingredients first and. 00:20:47.92\00:20:50.83 Yes, it looks good already. And it's not, 00:20:50.86\00:20:54.05 now when it looks good you will see what kind 00:20:54.08\00:20:57.19 of health benefit you will get from eating 00:20:57.22\00:20:59.67 these cookie, that's right. Why because it's the 00:20:59.70\00:21:02.51 high contents of sugar even though it's a healthy 00:21:02.54\00:21:05.83 kind of sugar, I will ask you to be moderate, 00:21:05.86\00:21:09.05 in moderation. That's right. 00:21:09.08\00:21:10.82 Eat one or two cookies. That's right. 00:21:10.85\00:21:12.78 Okay, I'm gonna go and add soy milk 00:21:12.81\00:21:15.80 and canola oil and also you can put apple 00:21:18.68\00:21:22.55 sauce instead of the canola oil. 00:21:22.58\00:21:25.16 You can do the same thing with it. 00:21:25.19\00:21:26.39 It's not going to be crispy cookie, okay, 00:21:26.42\00:21:28.76 and sugar, turbinado sugar and canola oil give you 00:21:28.79\00:21:33.34 the crispy, the crispiness, yes, alright, okay. 00:21:33.37\00:21:36.51 So do you need this canola too. 00:21:37.37\00:21:38.34 Yes, I'm gonna go and add it. 00:21:38.35\00:21:39.32 Now? Please. Then I am going to go and mix 00:21:39.33\00:21:42.07 with the hand. This one I told you like if we 00:21:42.10\00:21:44.93 use a spoon you got to have a lot of muscles. 00:21:44.96\00:21:49.16 Because it's so thick you said, 00:21:49.19\00:21:51.05 the batter is real thick. Really thick. Yes, right. 00:21:51.08\00:21:54.60 So I'm gonna go and mix it the hand. 00:21:54.63\00:21:56.12 Yeah, that's fun. And I like you can get your kids 00:21:57.44\00:21:59.09 working with you. You know just get them 00:21:59.12\00:22:00.40 in the kitchen. Oh! Yeah, that's right. 00:22:12.72\00:22:14.96 And the cookie that didn't come out very pretty 00:22:14.99\00:22:17.56 shape but at least they recognize 00:22:17.59\00:22:20.10 oh I have made that. And I had such a good time in the kitchen. 00:22:42.72\00:22:44.65 Your grandma was wise lady. 00:22:44.68\00:22:46.24 Yes, she was.
