Now, you're from a little town 00:01:06.75\00:01:09.05 in Huntsville, near Huntsville Alabama, right. 00:01:09.08\00:01:11.40 It's near Huntsville, okay New Market. New Market, 00:01:11.43\00:01:14.57 okay, very nice and you have a ministry 00:01:14.60\00:01:17.20 called Marvelous Lifestyle. That's right. 00:01:17.23\00:01:20.53 Tell us about that. Well, it's just a 00:01:20.56\00:01:22.51 health ministry, where I educate; 00:01:22.54\00:01:25.22 I teach how to cook. Okay. I also teach 00:01:25.25\00:01:28.72 natural remedies, how to make poultices, 00:01:28.75\00:01:31.46 how to do hydrotherapy, yes just in home activities 00:01:31.49\00:01:36.14 that are exciting but yet they're healing. 00:01:36.17\00:01:39.32 And they make such a difference in our life. 00:01:39.35\00:01:41.06 Oh yes. Oh yeah. And you'd be amazed at the 00:01:41.09\00:01:43.37 simple things that you can do just right 00:01:43.40\00:01:44.81 in your own home. That's wonderful, 00:01:44.84\00:01:47.17 now you go out and teach in seminars 00:01:47.20\00:01:49.12 or in cooking schools. Oh! Yes, I travel, 00:01:49.15\00:01:50.79 I do local teaching there and we have 00:01:50.82\00:01:54.89 a little center behind the school, 00:01:54.92\00:01:57.13 and we do community classes. Yeah oh! 00:01:57.16\00:01:59.89 That's wonderful so the people come in then. 00:01:59.92\00:02:02.21 They come in. And you share with the people 00:02:02.24\00:02:04.04 there, do they come and stay for like 00:02:04.07\00:02:05.83 a short amount of time for lifestyle or. 00:02:05.86\00:02:08.20 Well some do anywhere from three days 00:02:08.23\00:02:11.21 to ten days. Okay. And then some commute. Yes. 00:02:11.24\00:02:14.48 And we also teach our students. 00:02:14.51\00:02:17.10 We have a great school. I was gonna say that 00:02:17.13\00:02:19.19 you're talked about this little building behind 00:02:19.22\00:02:20.53 the school right but this is you have a school, 00:02:20.56\00:02:22.17 what grades do you have in your school. 00:02:22.20\00:02:23.52 Pre-k through 9. Wow. And the children learn 00:02:23.55\00:02:27.79 healthy lifestyle, Amen, Amen that's wonderful 00:02:27.82\00:02:32.02 if you start them early. Yeah. 00:02:32.05\00:02:33.99 Then they can develop better habits 00:02:34.02\00:02:37.01 and they don't have to suffer like I did. 00:02:37.04\00:02:38.73 And you don't have to have you know 00:02:38.76\00:02:40.15 if you develop bad habits and you have to break 00:02:40.18\00:02:42.18 those bad habits. I know. And that's worse. 00:02:42.21\00:02:44.59 It's a struggle. So, if you can start 00:02:44.62\00:02:45.89 while they're young that makes such difference. 00:02:45.92\00:02:47.82 Yes it does. Yes. And they love it. 00:02:47.85\00:02:49.34 Oh! Praise God and so you teach them the poultices 00:02:49.37\00:02:51.84 and the hydrotherapy and all that type of 00:02:51.87\00:02:54.07 thing. Yes, that's wonderful. But they love 00:02:54.10\00:02:57.10 the cooking best. I can imagine 00:02:57.13\00:03:00.21 because then they get to eat it right. Yes. 00:03:00.24\00:03:02.63 Eating is pretty fun too right yeah. 00:03:02.66\00:03:03.63 Now, we're doing brunch recipes today. 00:03:03.64\00:03:06.25 Right. Yeah. And we are going to start 00:03:06.28\00:03:09.12 with something real simple. I like simple, 00:03:09.15\00:03:11.38 simple and easy is good for me. Right. Okay, 00:03:11.41\00:03:14.16 let's read our first recipe for our 00:03:14.19\00:03:16.61 brunch recipe. For that, that's our garlic bread, 00:03:16.64\00:03:20.27 we need for that Whole grain bread 00:03:20.30\00:03:22.79 For the garlic spread: 1 c. chopped green olives 00:03:22.82\00:03:26.87 1 tbsp. minced garlic 2 tsp. 00:03:26.90\00:03:31.09 unfermented soy sauce Boy, this is easy 00:03:31.12\00:03:34.24 MarVella. Simple, simple, simple. 00:03:34.27\00:03:36.51 And we got three ingredients. Right, 00:03:36.54\00:03:38.07 and they're great. Yeah. We have the soy sauce 00:03:38.10\00:03:42.17 with your amino acids. Okay. 00:03:42.20\00:03:43.29 We have a fresh garlic. Yes. And we have the 00:03:43.32\00:03:47.32 delicious olives. Yes. Which gives us olive oil, 00:03:47.35\00:03:50.09 great for your skin and hair. Yeah, 00:03:50.12\00:03:53.18 you're right so we're using that then 00:03:53.21\00:03:55.42 instead of say margarine or butter. Yes, yes. 00:03:55.45\00:03:58.34 Something like that on the bread. Yes, right. 00:03:58.37\00:03:59.34 That you normally do. Or even oil 00:03:59.35\00:04:00.37 when it's heated of course it changes 00:04:00.40\00:04:02.77 the structure of the molecule. 00:04:02.80\00:04:04.55 So, it makes it hard to digest 00:04:04.58\00:04:06.29 and get through your system. Alright. 00:04:06.32\00:04:07.90 So we just use up oil in the olives. 00:04:07.93\00:04:10.70 Yes, that's a good idea, very nice yeah 00:04:10.73\00:04:13.31 now we're using green olives here. Yes. 00:04:13.34\00:04:15.52 Why are we using green? Well, they're ripe. 00:04:15.55\00:04:17.96 That's a good reason. And also you can get 00:04:17.99\00:04:20.51 the ripe black olives. Right. 00:04:20.54\00:04:23.00 Now some black olives do have an additive 00:04:23.03\00:04:25.31 that makes them black that food coloring 00:04:25.34\00:04:27.67 and you wanna avoid that so just make sure 00:04:27.70\00:04:29.51 that they're ripe olives. Yeah, good okay 00:04:29.54\00:04:33.10 so we have our green olives here 00:04:33.13\00:04:34.73 you've already done something with them, 00:04:34.76\00:04:35.93 what have we done here? Yes, we've chopped them 00:04:35.96\00:04:37.82 really fine, lets save it here, let them see. 00:04:37.85\00:04:39.97 And then we have just a little bit of soy sauce 00:04:40.00\00:04:43.02 and then we have our garlic. Okay. 00:04:43.05\00:04:45.36 Now, there is an alternative. Yes. 00:04:45.39\00:04:47.51 To this. Could do it this way. 00:04:47.54\00:04:48.66 You can just dump everything in a blender 00:04:48.69\00:04:50.32 and make it a really smooth spread. 00:04:50.35\00:04:53.12 Okay or you can have a look. So many options. 00:04:53.15\00:04:55.10 Yes, so, we can use it with the chopped olives 00:04:55.13\00:04:58.78 and gives us a bit of crunch and we also get 00:04:58.81\00:05:01.22 a really great flavor of the garlic. Yes, right. 00:05:01.25\00:05:04.76 Okay, well let's mix it here, okay. 00:05:04.79\00:05:06.18 We can make it on the bread. 00:05:06.21\00:05:07.38 We just add our little garlic. Yeah. 00:05:07.41\00:05:11.61 Our garlic is really good for you too. Yes, 00:05:11.64\00:05:14.92 as a matter of fact it's excellent 00:05:14.95\00:05:17.20 for the immune system. Yes, yes. 00:05:17.23\00:05:19.80 And what, you want to be sure is that 00:05:19.83\00:05:22.67 you've blend all your flavors, the soy sauce 00:05:22.70\00:05:27.58 gives it a little tit of saltiness. Yes. 00:05:27.61\00:05:31.01 And the garlic gives it it's kick Yeah, 00:05:31.04\00:05:34.70 a good kick I would think. Absolutely. 00:05:34.73\00:05:37.67 Yeah that's right. Now are these olives salted 00:05:37.70\00:05:40.88 or they. No. No they're not salted, okay. 00:05:40.91\00:05:43.22 Right. Okay. And you can get them with 00:05:43.25\00:05:45.68 or without salt. Right, right. 00:05:45.71\00:05:46.68 Generally when people get them with the salt 00:05:46.69\00:05:47.66 they will generally allow them to sit in water. 00:05:47.67\00:05:51.50 Yeah. So, that some of the salts. 00:05:51.53\00:05:54.30 Right you can rinse salt, so we try to put them 00:05:54.33\00:05:56.66 in right okay, yes, okay. And I have here 00:05:56.69\00:05:58.37 some delicious spread of wheat bread. 00:05:58.40\00:06:00.14 Oh, very nice. And we can just 00:06:00.17\00:06:02.66 put a little bit of this on the bread. 00:06:02.69\00:06:05.33 Now, do you have a bakery there in school? 00:06:05.36\00:06:06.86 No, but we're planning to get one. 00:06:06.89\00:06:09.77 So, that's in the plans. Yes, pray much. Good. 00:06:09.80\00:06:14.62 But my mother was well in her age, 00:06:14.65\00:06:17.64 started the school years ago. Yeah. 00:06:17.67\00:06:20.30 Over fifty years and she really wanted a bakery, 00:06:20.33\00:06:24.46 that hasn't come to fruition yet 00:06:24.49\00:06:27.86 but hopefully before she goes on, 00:06:27.89\00:06:31.31 that's right, I would like for that to happen. 00:06:31.34\00:06:33.97 That's right. With God all things are possible, 00:06:34.00\00:06:35.29 I believe that so. And this is excellent. 00:06:35.32\00:06:38.56 It's good MarVella. If you put make a sandwich 00:06:38.59\00:06:40.17 you can put that on your bread also it's good 00:06:40.20\00:06:44.04 as an open face. Oh! Yeah. Yeah, 00:06:44.07\00:06:46.67 a little hand sandwich. That's right, very good, 00:06:46.70\00:06:49.26 good very nice well, let's go to our next recipe. 00:06:49.29\00:06:52.59 Okay, that sounds good. And you wanna read that 00:06:52.62\00:06:54.64 recipe for us. This is for the Chick Patties. 00:06:54.67\00:06:57.51 4 c. old fashioned oatmeal 2 c. chickpeas 00:06:57.54\00:07:02.68 2 c. sunflower seeds ½ c. of unfermented soy sauce 00:07:02.71\00:07:08.70 or sea salt to taste 1½ c. water 00:07:08.73\00:07:13.05 4 tbsp. Of nutritional yeast flakes 00:07:13.08\00:07:16.60 1 tbsp. garlic powder 1 tbsp. onion powder 00:07:16.63\00:07:21.88 1/8 tsp. African Bird cayenne pepper 00:07:21.91\00:07:25.79 Okay, this looks good with the chickpeas 00:07:27.55\00:07:30.33 and the oats and all that stuff. Right. 00:07:30.36\00:07:32.06 Yeah, it make a nice brunch. Absolutely. 00:07:32.09\00:07:36.15 Okay. Now the first thing I'm going do is combine 00:07:36.18\00:07:42.44 my sunflower seeds. Okay, you've ground them. 00:07:42.47\00:07:44.78 They are already ground. Yes, alright. 00:07:44.81\00:07:47.51 And I'm going to add them to my oatmeal. Yes. 00:07:47.54\00:07:50.94 And when they're grounded it gives it 00:07:50.97\00:07:53.37 a different flavor. Okay. But yet 00:07:53.40\00:07:56.35 it does have a bit of a crunch still. 00:07:56.38\00:07:58.21 Yeah I can see that because you got 00:07:58.24\00:07:59.56 little many, many pieces absolutely 00:07:59.59\00:08:01.23 so few of them, so now these are your 00:08:01.26\00:08:02.83 old fashioned oats. Old fashioned oatmeal 00:08:02.86\00:08:05.51 and what the old fashioned oatmeal 00:08:05.54\00:08:07.88 does is it maintains it firmness. Yes, 00:08:07.91\00:08:11.43 better than the quick. Yes because yeah okay. 00:08:11.46\00:08:13.85 Alright and what I want you to do is combine 00:08:13.88\00:08:17.09 all the seasonings with the beans in the water. 00:08:17.12\00:08:19.20 In here. In the blender. Okay, I think 00:08:19.23\00:08:21.36 I can do this. Okay, if you put your water 00:08:21.39\00:08:23.61 in there first okay and then put your chickpeas, 00:08:23.64\00:08:28.82 these are garbanzo beans. Yes. 00:08:28.85\00:08:30.74 I like garbanzo beans. And they have a really 00:08:30.77\00:08:32.96 nice mild flavor. They do very much so, 00:08:32.99\00:08:35.54 okay alright. That's our soy sauce, 00:08:35.57\00:08:38.48 good unfermented soy sauce. Garlic powder. 00:08:38.51\00:08:42.15 Good. Onion powder, nutritional yeast flakes, 00:08:42.18\00:08:46.93 good. Now, I wanted to ask you 00:08:46.96\00:08:48.16 about this next one. A bit of cayenne to give it 00:08:48.19\00:08:51.31 just a touch. Now, tell us what is 00:08:51.34\00:08:54.03 African Bird cayenne, how is that 00:08:54.06\00:08:56.17 different from regular cayenne.? 00:08:56.20\00:08:57.32 It's a different type of cayenne. Okay. 00:08:57.35\00:08:59.55 That's it's not irritate it's more medicinal. 00:08:59.58\00:09:01.46 And you can use it externally 00:09:01.49\00:09:03.63 and internally, it has quite a bit 00:09:03.66\00:09:05.37 of fire in it, okay and it's good 00:09:05.40\00:09:08.00 for so many things, high blood pressure, 00:09:08.03\00:09:09.66 poor circulation, excellent. So, 00:09:09.69\00:09:12.96 we've just go through, so it's a good thing then, 00:09:12.99\00:09:14.35 alright, yeah just a tad and all you need is a tad, 00:09:14.38\00:09:16.26 you can get it in different 00:09:16.29\00:09:18.49 thousands of units. That's probably 00:09:18.52\00:09:21.87 a hundred thousand, okay we're gonna put 00:09:21.90\00:09:23.81 this up here, then we're gonna make some noise. 00:09:23.84\00:09:26.41 I'm gonna get the lid on, okay 00:09:29.38\00:09:31.24 that's good, more, is that good, that's great, 00:09:38.43\00:09:42.22 it's pretty easy, I like that. 00:09:42.25\00:09:43.49 Okay when you blend it all the flavors 00:09:43.52\00:09:49.14 come together. Yes. A lot better than stirring 00:09:49.17\00:09:51.80 so much. Yes absolutely, I like that 00:09:51.83\00:09:54.02 let me just move this here okay, 00:09:54.05\00:09:55.48 can I just pour it in here. Just pour it in. 00:09:55.51\00:09:57.15 Oh it smells good I can smell 00:09:57.18\00:09:59.90 the chickpeas especially. Yes. Good 00:09:59.93\00:10:02.82 now we already have our skillet heating. 00:10:02.85\00:10:04.73 Yes, now is this one of the recipes 00:10:04.76\00:10:08.05 that you share with people when you go out 00:10:08.08\00:10:10.20 and give demonstration. Yeah people love quick. 00:10:10.23\00:10:13.55 They love simple and they love tasty. That's right. 00:10:13.58\00:10:18.34 And so. I agree. I try to combine all three. 00:10:18.37\00:10:21.70 Yes. So, that people will get what they really want. 00:10:21.73\00:10:24.72 Quick, simple and tasty. Absolutely. That's right. 00:10:24.75\00:10:27.45 Now, the more you stir this, the more it look, 00:10:27.48\00:10:30.38 the oatmeal will heat to the liquid 00:10:30.41\00:10:33.10 that you put in it. So you want to keep 00:10:33.13\00:10:34.16 stirring them, that's a good thing. 00:10:34.19\00:10:35.16 But not too much because you don't want it gummy. 00:10:35.17\00:10:37.60 Alright, how do you know, how much is too much. 00:10:37.63\00:10:39.75 You can just about tell when it starts getting 00:10:39.78\00:10:41.85 a little bit thick, thick and stiff. Okay, 00:10:41.88\00:10:45.33 so that you can shape it into your patties, 00:10:45.36\00:10:47.87 you see that. Oh yeah. Even if you have 00:10:47.90\00:10:50.71 just a few pieces of garbanzos, they're, 00:10:50.74\00:10:54.08 that's great too. Yeah. Okay. Good. 00:10:54.11\00:10:57.24 Alright that smells really good. 00:10:57.27\00:10:58.82 Now, we have our griddle here. Yes. 00:10:59.68\00:11:01.93 It might be hot. Absolutely, 00:11:01.96\00:11:03.80 now you can shape these with your hands. 00:11:05.81\00:11:08.04 It's very nice oh yeah, she washed her hands. 00:11:08.07\00:11:10.98 This morning, yes. Just before yeah very nice. 00:11:11.01\00:11:16.44 And you hear that sizzle. Yup, 00:11:17.81\00:11:19.38 what that does is fries it on the bottom 00:11:19.41\00:11:22.56 and seals it so that it won't stick. 00:11:22.59\00:11:25.06 Did you notice there is no oil. 00:11:25.09\00:11:27.77 Yeah, that's right. Okay, now can you do this? 00:11:27.80\00:11:30.14 This is kind of like a Teflon pan though right, 00:11:30.17\00:11:31.95 can you do without. It's similar to Teflon 00:11:31.98\00:11:35.06 but it's not Teflon, it's a different quoting. 00:11:35.09\00:11:37.44 Okay, okay. But I also have a stain, 00:11:37.47\00:11:38.77 a steel skillet and you can do 00:11:38.80\00:11:40.36 the exact same thing. And it doesn't stick 00:11:40.39\00:11:41.36 even with stainless steel. Right. Wow 00:11:41.37\00:11:43.16 and I would have thought stainless steel 00:11:43.19\00:11:44.17 would have stuck. No if you heat it first 00:11:44.20\00:11:47.15 So as longs as it's hot enough. And then we're 00:11:47.18\00:11:50.49 going to cover it. Okay. So that the stain 00:11:50.52\00:11:54.47 will help cook the patties. Yes. Okay, 00:11:54.50\00:11:56.98 so I can get your paper towel here for you. 00:11:57.01\00:11:58.25 Thank you. You are welcome. Alright, 00:11:58.28\00:12:00.60 and we'll just cover this. Oh yeah very nice. 00:12:02.09\00:12:05.94 Turn it down just a tad. Okay, 00:12:05.97\00:12:08.58 and how long does it cook for. 00:12:08.61\00:12:09.90 It generally cooks anywhere from 00:12:09.93\00:12:11.73 7 to 10 minutes. On each side. 00:12:11.76\00:12:13.94 On this side then you flip it. 00:12:13.97\00:12:15.69 Then we have to flip it over. 00:12:15.72\00:12:16.69 In about five minutes, and when you flip this 00:12:16.70\00:12:19.43 leave off the led, because if you don't 00:12:19.46\00:12:23.28 then the steam will continue to come up 00:12:23.31\00:12:25.48 and it will make you patties soggy 00:12:25.51\00:12:26.98 and you really want them nice and crunchy, 00:12:27.01\00:12:29.13 well I do. You know soggy paddy 00:12:29.16\00:12:30.41 don't sounds so good. No. Now, what I'm thinking 00:12:30.44\00:12:33.21 MarVella my griddle at home is like one of these 00:12:33.24\00:12:35.67 and it doesn't have a lid, could I cover it 00:12:35.70\00:12:37.47 with aluminum foil or that does everything 00:12:37.50\00:12:40.08 with that, I'm talking about the first time. 00:12:40.11\00:12:41.22 No, it doesn't have because it doesn't. Okay. 00:12:41.25\00:12:43.13 Right it will cook right but you will, 00:12:43.16\00:12:46.04 the heat will escape. Right. 00:12:46.07\00:12:47.96 But you can bake them in a oven. 00:12:47.99\00:12:49.70 Oh okay. If you do them on the grill 00:12:49.73\00:12:52.52 then make them real thin. Okay. 00:12:52.55\00:12:55.66 Because the oatmeal swells when you add water. 00:12:55.69\00:12:59.42 Oh! Yeah. So these patties will fluff off so. 00:12:59.45\00:13:03.10 Okay, yes. Okay yes, because of the steam. 00:13:03.13\00:13:05.60 Oh yeah. This helps it to cook them. 00:13:05.63\00:13:07.30 Absolutely, absolutely, okay, if you did them 00:13:07.33\00:13:08.46 in the oven 350. 350 to 400. Okay. 00:13:08.49\00:13:12.05 Yes because different people's oven. Oh yeah. 00:13:12.08\00:13:14.96 Have certain intensities of heat that vary, 00:13:14.99\00:13:17.62 but generally anywhere from 350 to 400 is good. 00:13:17.65\00:13:21.14 Okay. And once they brown, they're generally 00:13:21.17\00:13:23.03 brown on both sides. So, you wouldn't 00:13:23.06\00:13:25.02 have to flip them there. You wouldn't 00:13:25.05\00:13:26.02 have to flip it because it would already be done, 00:13:26.03\00:13:28.62 since the heat is contained in oven right. 00:13:28.65\00:13:31.25 It's different. Yeah it is. Right, right, okay, 00:13:31.28\00:13:33.11 so you're talking maybe 10, 15 minutes. 00:13:33.14\00:13:35.35 Yes, anywhere from 10 to 15 minutes. Yeah, okay. 00:13:35.38\00:13:37.69 Cool, that sounds like nice and easy, 00:13:37.72\00:13:39.04 I like that. Oh yes. Oh yeah they make 00:13:39.07\00:13:41.38 a good brunch. Absolutely. Yeah these make 00:13:41.41\00:13:43.76 absolutely burgers too. Yes, 00:13:43.79\00:13:45.78 put them in sandwiches, that sounds really good 00:13:45.81\00:13:48.79 yeah. Okay, what are we making next. 00:13:48.82\00:13:50.64 Let's go to our next recipe our Tofu Eggs, 00:13:52.23\00:13:54.63 good lets read that recipe. For that we need. 00:13:54.66\00:13:57.47 1 lb. firm tofu 1/8 c. unfermented soy sauce 00:13:57.50\00:14:02.68 ½ tsp. sea salt (or to taste) 00:14:02.71\00:14:06.07 2 tsp. cut thyme leaf 1 tsp. turmeric powder 00:14:06.10\00:14:12.38 and a pinch African Bird cayenne pepper 00:14:12.41\00:14:15.71 You know MarVella I love anything with Tofu. 00:14:17.33\00:14:19.68 Really? Yeah and some people say 00:14:19.71\00:14:21.88 I don't like tofu, it's not my favorite thing 00:14:21.91\00:14:23.82 but oh! I think tofu is really good, 00:14:23.85\00:14:25.96 especially depends on how you season it 00:14:25.99\00:14:27.54 and stuff that, yeah. Absolutely. 00:14:27.57\00:14:29.50 To me it's a good breakfast brunch thing. 00:14:29.53\00:14:31.36 It is. Yes, yes. most definitely. Absolutely. 00:14:31.39\00:14:34.03 Well, right now we're going to take this tofu. 00:14:34.06\00:14:38.15 You got a big skillet here and I like 00:14:38.18\00:14:42.24 this skillet. Yeah. You can do anything in it. 00:14:42.27\00:14:45.30 Yeah. We've already heated it okay 00:14:45.33\00:14:47.76 so we're gonna put our tofu in. oh yeah. 00:14:47.79\00:14:50.86 It's good and hot, that's for sure. Yes. Okay, 00:14:53.87\00:15:00.55 you know this is just like a water pack pepper tofu 00:15:00.58\00:15:04.12 that you can find. Yes, add our soy sauce. 00:15:04.15\00:15:09.34 Yes, oh! You can smell it, oh yeah very nice. 00:15:16.87\00:15:21.45 Now which ones you want, you can give me 00:15:23.11\00:15:25.30 the thyme. Okay. Now, those are two, 00:15:25.33\00:15:29.94 two leaves, was that our two leaves broken out. 00:15:29.97\00:15:32.43 These are cut. Okay, cut, cut okay yeah. 00:15:32.46\00:15:34.76 And that really gives it a nice aroma. Oh yeah. 00:15:34.79\00:15:38.28 And taste. I can smell it, it's really nice. 00:15:38.31\00:15:41.05 Yes, reminds you of old fashioned scrambled eggs. 00:15:41.08\00:15:44.71 There you go. Now, we're gonna just 00:15:44.74\00:15:47.25 a bit of sea salt. Sea salt, all of it, okay. 00:15:47.28\00:15:52.49 Now, you like the sea salt as opposed 00:15:52.52\00:15:55.57 to the other type of salt. Yes, 00:15:55.60\00:15:57.47 well the sodium chloride. Got you. 00:15:57.50\00:16:00.50 Acts differently in the body as a matter of fact 00:16:00.53\00:16:02.47 you can generally tell your body will retain 00:16:02.50\00:16:05.78 fluid when you eat foods with that 00:16:05.81\00:16:08.59 sodium chloride in it. Yes, yes. 00:16:08.62\00:16:10.48 And then you need less of this. Yeah, 00:16:10.51\00:16:12.71 absolute because it's more potent. Absolutely. 00:16:12.74\00:16:14.88 Okay, good, alright, now the turmeric, 00:16:14.91\00:16:17.74 yes give me the turmeric this adds a bit of color. 00:16:17.77\00:16:20.65 Yes. That's very nice as a matter of fact 00:16:20.68\00:16:23.93 it adds the color when you heat it. 00:16:23.96\00:16:27.45 Oh do you know, I didn't know that. Yes. 00:16:27.48\00:16:30.13 I mean I just add it and I didn't really think 00:16:30.16\00:16:31.54 about yeah. It's make little more like 00:16:31.57\00:16:33.58 scrambled eggs though could they? 00:16:33.61\00:16:34.92 Yellow in there I like that very much. 00:16:34.95\00:16:36.59 Alright and then finally our African Bird cayenne. 00:16:36.62\00:16:39.89 You got so just kick it up. Just a little bit 00:16:39.92\00:16:44.18 of kick there. Now do would you see how quick 00:16:44.21\00:16:48.49 and easy this is. Oh yeah. Well, 00:16:48.52\00:16:50.85 you say tasty, quick and simple, 00:16:50.88\00:16:52.80 isn't that what you like. That's right. 00:16:52.83\00:16:55.84 Wow it's very nice, it looks good. 00:16:55.87\00:16:58.88 Now, do you cover it and let it simmer one or no, 00:16:58.91\00:17:01.30 or you don't. You can simmer this as long as 00:17:01.33\00:17:04.71 you need to on low. Okay. But because this 00:17:04.74\00:17:07.42 electric skillet was hot, it doesn't take long 00:17:07.45\00:17:09.89 because you can eat this, because the beans have 00:17:09.92\00:17:12.29 already been cooked, the soy beans. Right, right. 00:17:12.32\00:17:14.21 So, I even make dishes with the tofu co, 00:17:14.24\00:17:17.91 so we just heated long enough 00:17:17.94\00:17:21.28 for the flavors to blend. Yes. 00:17:21.31\00:17:22.96 And for you to get your color. Right. 00:17:22.99\00:17:25.03 And we are all finished. Oh that's neat. 00:17:25.06\00:17:28.23 Turn off our heat. Yeah now do the kids 00:17:28.26\00:17:31.85 in your school, do they go in the kitchen 00:17:31.88\00:17:33.49 to work too or not really. Yes, they do. 00:17:33.52\00:17:35.80 Oh they do, okay. They love it, 00:17:35.83\00:17:37.21 as matter of fact I have a student 00:17:37.24\00:17:39.53 who is not a member of our church 00:17:39.56\00:17:41.74 and he was first introduced to tofu 00:17:41.77\00:17:45.68 this year, and that's all he tells his grandmother 00:17:45.71\00:17:49.34 about is tofu, tofu, tofu. I prepared 00:17:49.37\00:17:53.01 maybe once a week. That's very cute yeah. 00:17:53.04\00:17:55.04 Or once every other week, we don't eat it a lot, 00:17:55.07\00:17:58.05 it is a concentrated protein. Okay. 00:18:42.64\00:18:45.69 And then the hydrotherapy, we always conclude 00:18:45.72\00:18:48.39 with a cooking program. Oh! yes. 00:18:48.42\00:18:50.32 Because even though that's something that 00:18:50.35\00:18:52.69 we all struggle with it's keeping that diet in line. 00:18:52.72\00:18:55.39 Absolutely. It's also a great 00:20:59.71\00:21:02.09 alternative for children who were really striving 00:21:02.12\00:21:05.70 to come off the sugar. Yeah, absolutely. 00:21:05.73\00:21:08.92 And they tell me about the abundance of sugar. 00:21:08.95\00:21:12.09 Yes. That they used to eat. Yes. 00:21:12.12\00:21:14.02 And this is an excellent alternative. Yes, 00:21:14.05\00:21:17.59 because you know I was thinking Marvella 00:21:17.62\00:21:18.64 you know Jesus doesn't just take stuff away 00:21:18.67\00:21:20.74 from us and say you can't eat anything else. 00:21:20.77\00:21:23.03 You know, he says you know this isn't the best, 00:21:23.06\00:21:26.00 but this will be here you can eat 00:21:26.03\00:21:27.15 and you can enjoy a bit of way. That's right, 00:21:27.18\00:21:29.35 praise God you can take that away 00:21:29.38\00:21:30.68 and you can offer smoothies. Yeah, yeah 00:21:30.71\00:21:33.44 what I like to do here. Well you can put 00:21:33.47\00:21:36.82 in our milk. Okay. And you can use soy milk 00:21:36.85\00:21:40.19 or coconut milk. Coconut milks makes 00:21:40.22\00:21:42.57 a excellent creamy smoothie. 00:21:42.60\00:21:46.03 I bet its really good oh! Yeah, it's very nice. 00:21:46.06\00:21:49.27 Now these bananas were frozen. Okay. 00:21:49.30\00:21:51.76 So I just broke it up okay. 00:21:51.79\00:21:53.24 And your carob powder. Yes. That's what gives it 00:21:57.60\00:22:00.30 dip chocolate yes flavor that's right 00:22:00.33\00:22:03.12 and your maple. Very nice and the banana is ripe, 00:22:03.15\00:22:07.74 so it's sweet. Absolutely, the riper the sweeter. 00:22:07.77\00:22:10.71 And then it's a little vanilla. Oh very nice. 00:22:10.74\00:22:14.61 Just a tad. Yeah and that's it. That's it. 00:22:14.64\00:22:18.18 That's how difficult is that. 00:22:18.21\00:22:20.35 I don't know if think it's very easy yeah. 00:22:20.38\00:22:23.43 Anybody can do that right. Now instead of the milk 00:22:23.46\00:22:26.74 when you do your fruits smoothies. Yeah. 00:22:26.77\00:22:28.76 You can use juice, whole juice. Okay. 00:22:28.79\00:22:31.30 Grape juice is excellent with blueberries 00:22:31.33\00:22:34.26 and your frozen banana. Very nice. 00:22:34.29\00:22:37.09 Apple juice is good with your strawberries. 00:22:37.12\00:22:39.56 Yes I am sure. And pineapple juice 00:22:39.59\00:22:42.43 is another one. Yeah. And what it does, 00:22:42.46\00:22:44.23 it give you variety without doing the 00:22:44.26\00:22:46.87 same, same, same type all the time. Right and then 00:22:46.90\00:22:48.69 you kind of get tired of the same thing 00:22:48.72\00:22:49.77 all the time. I bet your coconut 00:22:49.80\00:22:51.26 would be really good with a mango. 00:22:51.29\00:22:52.26 Absolutely yeah, oh! That sounds good okay. 00:22:52.27\00:22:55.61 Let's blend this. Yes. 00:22:55.64\00:22:58.44 Is that enough. That's enough. That's enough. 00:23:08.84\00:23:11.11 Okay. I think it's ready to be devoured. Oops, 00:23:11.14\00:23:15.39 there we go. Oh! Yeah, it's nice and frosty too. 00:23:15.42\00:23:22.79 It looks like shake. Yeah, it looks very much 00:23:22.82\00:23:25.26 I don't know how much we have but let me 00:23:25.29\00:23:26.27 put some in this one too. Yes refreshing 00:23:26.30\00:23:29.90 oh yeah oops there is a banana chunk. 00:23:29.93\00:23:32.90 That's okay. At home you might wanna blend it 00:23:32.93\00:23:36.43 a little bit longer. But I like the 00:23:36.46\00:23:38.59 banana flavor too yes. That's it look great, 00:23:38.62\00:23:40.93 oh yes. That's a nice way to top off a brunch 00:23:40.96\00:23:44.99 when you say. Oh yeah a perfect way. 00:23:45.02\00:23:47.28 You know, you can invite you, 00:23:47.31\00:23:48.74 I mean your family is already there 00:23:48.77\00:23:50.11 but you can invite your friend over 00:23:50.14\00:23:51.56 or extended family. Right and it's also 00:23:51.59\00:23:54.27 an excellent way to introduce healthy eating 00:23:54.30\00:23:57.61 to people who are not accustomed to it 00:23:57.64\00:23:59.78 or who maybe predigest because they just 00:23:59.81\00:24:01.95 don't know about it. Right that's a good idea. 00:24:01.98\00:24:04.34 So, you just have a brunch, don't tell them 00:24:04.37\00:24:06.57 what you are serving, I like that 00:24:06.60\00:24:08.84 and just lay out the spread. Yeah, 00:24:08.87\00:24:11.14 they will be so surprised. That's good, 00:24:11.17\00:24:15.00 invite your family you know or your neighbors. 00:24:15.03\00:24:17.35 Invite your neighbors they come out over to my house 00:24:17.38\00:24:19.37 we're gonna have brunch. I like that yeah 00:24:19.40\00:24:22.05 that's a real good idea. I had a brother-in-law 00:24:22.08\00:24:24.46 that came and I introduced him to this lifestyle. 00:24:24.49\00:24:27.84 Yeah. And right now he is off his 00:24:27.87\00:24:29.88 high blood pressure medication, 00:24:29.91\00:24:31.54 his high cholesterol medication 00:24:31.57\00:24:34.00 and his cholesterol medication. 00:24:34.03\00:24:36.51 And he knows that diet, exercise 00:24:37.42\00:24:40.88 and trust in God works. Yeah, yeah 00:24:40.91\00:24:42.78 that's right absolutely. And I think 00:24:42.81\00:24:44.70 it's a combination of them it's not just eat 00:24:44.73\00:24:46.74 this way, but we have to have the trust in God 00:24:46.77\00:24:48.48 for the stress. You must. You got have the exercise. 00:24:48.51\00:24:50.93 You've got to. Yes, yes. It's A combination 00:24:50.96\00:24:55.18 in lifestyle. Yeah, that's right, that's right 00:24:55.21\00:24:57.89 that's why you try to share and teach 00:24:57.92\00:24:58.98 with your ministry there. That's wonderful it is, 00:24:59.01\00:25:01.05 yeah, it's exciting yeah. And I've seen the Lord 00:25:01.08\00:25:03.53 bless so many people and he certainly 00:25:03.56\00:25:06.34 has blessed me. Yeah praise the God, 00:25:06.37\00:25:08.42 you know that's neat because your own testimony 00:25:08.45\00:25:10.65 is the biggest witness I think. 00:25:10.68\00:25:12.36 You know it's saying, it's helped me, 00:25:12.39\00:25:13.81 it's blessed me, and that make such a difference. 00:25:13.84\00:25:15.41 Absolutely.
