When I said whole I mean physically, 00:01:23.41\00:01:26.29 mentally as well as spiritually. Amen. 00:01:26.32\00:01:29.36 And so that's what we believe what we do we teach 00:01:29.39\00:01:32.20 people to go out and we teach them how they can 00:01:32.23\00:01:35.44 exercise that faith and by exercising that faith cause 00:01:35.47\00:01:39.42 them or help them to be in a state where they are well 00:01:39.45\00:01:42.30 physically, mentally and spiritually so that it's 00:01:42.33\00:01:44.32 cause that involves doing health seminars and involves 00:01:44.35\00:01:47.96 teaching the gospel and involves building up the 00:01:47.99\00:01:50.99 mind mentally, physically and spiritually. 00:01:51.02\00:01:53.38 You will heal those three components in anyone 00:01:53.41\00:01:55.30 of our seminars mental, physical, spiritual. 00:01:55.33\00:01:57.34 The three actually go hand in hand. 00:01:57.81\00:01:59.82 Now you say seminars, do you preach also? 00:01:59.85\00:02:03.57 Oh! Yes. I preach as well as cook, yes, as well as 00:02:03.60\00:02:08.25 teach. I don't give speeches, but yes, 00:02:08.28\00:02:11.02 we do seminars. Yes, we travel together 00:02:26.07\00:02:27.19 with our Ministry together, yes. That's right, 00:02:27.22\00:02:29.15 that's right. So if anyone out there interested in 00:02:29.18\00:02:32.54 calling Robin just get a hold up us here at 3ABN 00:02:32.57\00:02:36.67 and we will be in contact with Robin. 00:02:36.70\00:02:38.59 Now what we need to do right now is look at 00:02:39.06\00:02:41.44 our first recipe for today. Our first recipe, 00:02:41.47\00:02:45.79 we gonna to make "Salsa" and for the Salsa you need: 00:02:45.82\00:02:49.08 5 medium tomatoes 1/2 cup of finely chopped onions 00:02:49.11\00:02:53.19 1/4 cup of fresh cilantro, finely chopped 00:02:53.22\00:02:56.86 1/2 cup of fresh bell pepper again finely chopped 00:02:56.89\00:03:01.49 1 tsp of garlic powder 4 to 6 cloves of fresh chopped 00:03:01.52\00:03:07.13 finely chopped garlic 1 fresh lime at least 00:03:07.16\00:03:11.06 the juice from 1 fresh lime 00:03:11.09\00:03:12.71 And then 1/2 tsp. of sea salt 00:03:12.74\00:03:16.51 Okay, and this is Salsa, which is gonna be a 00:03:17.23\00:03:20.27 wonderful recipe. We gonna be sharing today. 00:03:20.30\00:03:23.23 Now where do we begin? Let's begin by talking about 00:03:23.97\00:03:26.43 the tomatoes. The tomatoes, oh! Yes, excellent source 00:03:26.46\00:03:29.58 of, well has a high in vitamin C, 00:03:29.61\00:03:32.20 but also has Lycopene. That's right. 00:03:32.23\00:03:34.74 Lycopene is excellent especially for men 00:03:34.77\00:03:37.02 because the Lycopene helps prevent prostate cancer. 00:03:37.05\00:03:40.87 In fact, you can say one tomato a day keep the 00:03:40.90\00:03:43.69 prostate cancer away. So we gonna start with that, 00:03:43.72\00:03:46.88 Okay. And then simply I wanna just add the 00:03:46.91\00:03:48.80 ingredients, so we have the onions here. 00:03:48.83\00:03:50.80 Already chopped Already chopped 00:03:50.83\00:03:53.10 That's right. And interesting to know that 00:03:53.13\00:03:56.31 this Salsa is fresh. We took the tomatoes 00:03:56.34\00:03:59.29 by the way and we ground the tomatoes. 00:03:59.32\00:04:01.78 What? It's not canned? No, it's canned. 00:04:01.81\00:04:04.59 I mean for in a quick fixture you could use a can, 00:04:04.62\00:04:07.37 but we took tomatoes and we took 5 tomatoes 00:04:07.40\00:04:09.53 and we just used degrader. I see. I say ground, 00:04:09.56\00:04:12.16 I meant degrader. So we just use degrader. 00:04:12.19\00:04:14.19 This is the cilantro. You have to have cilantro 00:04:14.43\00:04:19.07 if you need to sauté it. Oh! You have to. 00:04:19.10\00:04:20.32 These are peppers. These are not hot peppers. 00:04:20.73\00:04:22.79 Let me make a note these are sweet peppers and 00:04:22.82\00:04:26.30 they are sweet peppers Yes, and this, 00:04:26.33\00:04:28.33 one of the things that is interestingly good to note 00:04:28.76\00:04:31.11 about this Salsa, it does not have, does not contain 00:04:31.14\00:04:34.63 any hot peppers. We teach to stay away from hot peppers. 00:04:34.66\00:04:38.14 There are some many determents to the hot 00:04:38.17\00:04:42.29 peppers and it causes things like high blood pressure 00:04:42.32\00:04:44.81 and contributes to those type of things, 00:04:44.84\00:04:46.39 but also contributes to things like stomach ulcers, 00:04:46.72\00:04:50.11 which leads to stomach cancer and things of that 00:04:50.14\00:04:51.90 nature. What about temper. 00:04:51.93\00:04:52.90 Temper. Does it help? Does it irritate people 00:04:52.94\00:04:56.29 and they get angry? No, that's way we say, 00:04:56.32\00:04:58.46 I've heard that. And they even feed it to animals, 00:04:58.49\00:04:59.97 believe it or not. They say when you give animals hard 00:05:00.00\00:05:04.29 things like the chilly peppers. This is well lot of 00:05:04.32\00:05:06.25 times how they train it bolts, so I am told so, 00:05:06.28\00:05:09.05 yeah, definitely something you want to. 00:05:10.00\00:05:11.26 It's funny you said that. Well, I mentioned that. 00:05:11.29\00:05:13.64 One of our churches way back and we had an elder 00:05:14.29\00:05:18.04 that came to our board meeting and every time 00:05:18.07\00:05:20.61 he came, not every time, but most of times 00:05:20.64\00:05:23.65 when he was there he was hot tempered and my husband 00:05:23.68\00:05:26.73 asked, did you have any pepper hot peppers? 00:05:26.76\00:05:29.21 He said, I had a lot of hot peppers, 00:05:29.24\00:05:31.10 so you will be careful with that hot pepper. 00:05:31.13\00:05:33.36 Yes, so, this contains none of that, 00:05:33.39\00:05:35.86 but instead we put the garlic. 00:05:35.89\00:05:37.59 The garlic will give it a cake and the peppers 00:05:37.62\00:05:40.04 will give it the flavors, so you have the flavor with 00:05:40.07\00:05:42.88 the cake. We add the lime juice and we add the salt 00:05:42.91\00:05:45.76 Angy that's it. That's it. That's it. We are done. 00:05:46.22\00:05:49.35 It's fresh 100 percent fresh. All the ingredients 00:05:49.38\00:05:52.82 are raw so you have live enzymes going to your body. 00:05:52.85\00:05:56.69 This will make a great addition to any, 00:05:56.72\00:05:59.28 in case you have a gathering, you have people 00:06:00.12\00:06:01.55 come over, yeah, and you gonna see me 00:06:01.58\00:06:03.44 we gonna put this on our final dish for the evening. 00:06:03.47\00:06:06.59 This mix very well and it taste even better 00:06:06.62\00:06:09.55 once it sets for lets say a few hours. 00:06:09.58\00:06:12.20 And this is our chip dip for our Salsa. 00:06:12.23\00:06:14.44 Chip deep, absolutely. For our chip dip 00:06:14.47\00:06:16.53 this is our Salsa for the chip dip. 00:06:16.56\00:06:18.29 Oh! Yes, doesn't it look wonderful? 00:06:18.32\00:06:19.65 Okay, thank you so much and at the end of the program 00:06:19.68\00:06:23.48 you will see the finish product of, 00:06:23.51\00:06:25.94 everything that we've made today. Absolutely. 00:06:25.97\00:06:28.53 We will be making and well, we gonna do is move on 00:06:28.56\00:06:30.68 to our next recipe, which is "Mayonnaise" 00:06:30.71\00:06:33.79 Okay, on Mayonnaise we have: 1 cup of raw cashews 00:06:33.82\00:06:37.51 A 12 oz box of MoriNu Silken Soft tofu 00:06:37.54\00:06:42.94 1 tbsp. of honey 1 tsp. of onion power 00:06:42.97\00:06:46.63 1/4 cup of lemon juice and finally 00:06:46.66\00:06:50.00 1 to 2 tsp. of sea salt 00:06:50.03\00:06:52.71 Okay, Mayonnaise. Let's see how we gonna do this. 00:06:54.60\00:06:58.10 Okay, we gonna start with the tofu. Oh, tofu. 00:06:58.13\00:07:01.78 And let me just mention and read that, 00:07:01.81\00:07:04.40 this mayonnaise so why we want to make a mayonnaise. 00:07:05.34\00:07:08.65 All the mayonnaise you provide. Yeah. 00:07:08.68\00:07:10.32 No oil and no vinegar. Okay. No vinegar. 00:07:16.27\00:07:17.24 We have to watch the vinegar, yes, 00:07:17.25\00:07:18.22 because vinegar is something that it gets into 00:07:18.23\00:07:20.35 the blood and it kind of take you to blood it. 00:07:20.38\00:07:23.17 It actually, it's something that we definitely caution 00:07:23.20\00:07:27.54 all of our, all of our people we council with in 00:07:29.05\00:07:32.63 our seminars definitely one who is watching 00:07:32.66\00:07:34.80 vinegar is not something you want to freely put into 00:07:34.83\00:07:36.95 your body. No. Not good for you. 00:07:36.98\00:07:39.92 No, it's not, in fact, did you note the vinegar is 00:07:39.95\00:07:43.49 what we say the highest form of fermentation. 00:07:43.52\00:07:45.95 Oh! Is it? Yes, we start with the berry 00:07:46.41\00:07:49.08 or the fruits or you can serve with the grain. 00:07:49.11\00:07:51.76 After the fruit comes to juice, from the juice 00:07:52.01\00:07:54.93 if it sits long enough, you get alcohol 00:07:55.45\00:07:57.37 and alcohol continues to firm to become vinegar. 00:07:57.40\00:08:00.57 Oh! Okay. So and then, in fact, some of these vinegars 00:08:00.60\00:08:04.67 that they put, you know you can clean with those vinegars 00:08:04.70\00:08:07.76 and clean products. Oh! People put that in 00:08:07.79\00:08:10.24 their stomachs. Not good at all. 00:08:10.27\00:08:12.36 Not good at all. That was lemon juice 00:08:12.39\00:08:14.58 and this is simply simple recipe. We added the salt. 00:08:14.61\00:08:17.13 We add the lemon juice, finally the honey. 00:08:17.16\00:08:19.36 We're going to blend and be on our way. 00:08:19.39\00:08:23.94 Quick and simple. Sure that's look easy. 00:08:24.42\00:08:27.52 Okay, here we go. Alright. 00:08:28.16\00:08:29.55 And once it becomes creamy you are done. 00:08:49.57\00:08:52.15 Really. So we can blend may be a few more seconds 00:08:52.18\00:08:54.93 if you want to but that's pretty creamy right there. 00:08:54.96\00:08:57.51 This is simple as that. And you just refrigerate it. 00:08:57.54\00:09:00.25 Refrigerate and add to your favorite sandwich 00:09:00.28\00:09:04.44 or as a topping to, it could be a base for many other 00:09:04.47\00:09:08.16 dressings as you will see because we going to go 00:09:08.19\00:09:12.24 from here and make a Thousand Island dressing, 00:09:12.27\00:09:14.59 in fact, we call it the Ten Thousand Island dressing. 00:09:14.62\00:09:17.85 Why do we call it Ten Thousand Island dressing 00:09:18.51\00:09:20.34 because it's 10 times healthier than any of these 00:09:20.66\00:09:23.02 other dressings that you will find in the stores 00:09:23.05\00:09:25.64 with all the ingredients and if I were less modest 00:09:25.67\00:09:30.15 I would say that it's 10 times taste better too. 00:09:30.18\00:09:33.19 It 10 times better. But I won't say that we just say 00:09:33.22\00:09:35.35 it's 10 times healthier, but it's Ten Thousand Island 00:09:35.38\00:09:37.97 dressing. Okay, let's go to that right now. 00:09:38.00\00:09:41.08 The recipe includes: 1 cup of mayonnaise 00:09:41.51\00:09:44.11 1/4 cup of olives, chopped that is 00:09:44.37\00:09:46.76 1/4 cup of pickle relish 2 tbsp. of chives 00:09:46.79\00:09:50.67 1 Jar of pimentos, chopped 2 tbsp. of onions, chopped 00:09:50.70\00:09:56.22 1/4 tsp. of sea salt and 1 to 2 tbsp. of capers, 00:09:56.25\00:10:01.56 minced and soaked in lemon juice which is optional. 00:10:01.97\00:10:05.17 Ten Thousand Island, what is this? 00:10:07.35\00:10:10.68 Ten Thousand Island dressing. 00:10:10.71\00:10:13.57 Well, I've, it's a 1,000 Islands, but, I love that. 00:10:13.60\00:10:16.75 Because it's 10 times healthier. We gonna to 00:10:16.78\00:10:19.66 call it Ten Thousand. 1,000 times 10, 00:10:19.69\00:10:22.84 Ten Thousand, so what we have, we have a lot of 00:10:22.87\00:10:26.02 different ingredients. I wanna mention a few things 00:10:26.05\00:10:28.12 because we talk briefly about the capers. 00:10:28.15\00:10:31.29 Yeah, we wanna know what are capers? 00:10:31.32\00:10:34.43 Capers actually a bud to a plant that is found in the 00:10:34.46\00:10:38.92 Mediterranean area, Mediterranean region, 00:10:38.95\00:10:42.15 and this bud is actually use lot of Mediterranean food. 00:10:42.65\00:10:46.88 You see it in Italian food, but from the additional 00:10:46.91\00:10:49.58 point of view; high in vitamin C, also has fiber 00:10:49.61\00:10:53.37 and also has something called Rutin, 00:10:53.54\00:10:55.94 and Rutin is something that is use as a, 00:10:55.97\00:10:58.68 it's an anti-inflammatory effect if you will, 00:10:58.71\00:11:03.05 also anti-oxidant as well, so very good and this, 00:11:03.08\00:11:08.48 Where can you get this? You can buy this now, 00:11:09.56\00:11:11.93 I want to mention because very important to mention 00:11:11.96\00:11:14.57 that this particular item here I got from the health 00:11:14.60\00:11:18.21 food store because it's soaked in lemon juice you can find 00:11:18.24\00:11:20.76 capers all, anywhere in any store, but they are soaked 00:11:20.79\00:11:23.70 in vinegar. Remember we're trying to stay away 00:11:23.73\00:11:25.90 from the vinegar. Oh! I see. 00:11:25.93\00:11:27.71 And also by the way, okay, yes, we are. 00:11:27.74\00:11:29.51 As a diuretic or it simulate digestion, 00:11:29.54\00:11:32.06 so just a few more copies of that, 00:11:32.09\00:11:33.88 but speaking of vinegar, also this pickle relish is 00:11:33.91\00:11:37.48 not just any pickle relish either I've mentioned 00:11:37.51\00:11:39.62 before I wanted to have one that soaked in lemon juice, 00:11:39.65\00:11:42.93 so this definitely why I put this as an option 00:11:42.96\00:11:46.32 because if you can't find it soaked in lemon juice, 00:11:46.35\00:11:48.89 I'm glad you just leave it out, and it will still 00:11:48.92\00:11:51.66 be good. Yeah, most of relish are soaked in, 00:11:51.69\00:11:54.24 Vinegar. Yeah. And remember we want to say away from 00:11:54.81\00:11:57.88 the vinegar not something that you wanna put in 00:11:57.91\00:12:00.38 your body, so go and right into it. We gonna 00:12:00.41\00:12:03.20 take this mayonnaise. You remember this? 00:12:03.23\00:12:05.41 Oh! We just made. We just made this. We gonna add 00:12:05.44\00:12:07.57 this. What? It looks just like mayo. 00:12:07.60\00:12:10.21 This is Mayo. Look at that and from here, beautiful, 00:12:10.24\00:12:14.71 these are the olives, the chopped olives. 00:12:14.74\00:12:17.23 Oh! It's chopped, yes, finely chopped. 00:12:17.26\00:12:19.27 Finely chopped olives. Wow! 00:12:19.30\00:12:20.99 Now, what we gonna see this is gonna get very thick, 00:12:21.02\00:12:24.15 always thick, thick, Ten Thousand Island dressing 00:12:24.18\00:12:27.73 here. Interesting, now how did you think of that 00:12:27.76\00:12:32.57 ingredient that, that name I should say. 00:12:32.60\00:12:34.95 Ten Thousand Island. Ten Thousand, well. 00:12:34.98\00:12:36.65 yeah, I like that. I like Ten Thousand Island, 00:12:36.68\00:12:38.53 I've been trying to find one that needs to be healthier 00:12:38.56\00:12:41.49 and I had a problem actually finding 00:12:41.52\00:12:44.14 good ideas and good recipe, so I usually search 00:12:45.01\00:12:47.44 recipes and get ideas and then start to experiment, 00:12:47.47\00:12:51.13 but I said you know, when we find one we gonna make 00:12:51.43\00:12:53.34 sure it's healthier and even 10 times better, 00:12:53.37\00:12:56.42 so Ten Thousand better. That means Ten Thousand. Yes. 00:12:56.45\00:12:59.99 We added the chives and we added also parsley. Okay. 00:13:01.07\00:13:04.02 Now we gonna add the bell peppers. 00:13:05.15\00:13:07.59 This is our vitamins C component to this very, 00:13:07.62\00:13:10.82 very high in vitamin C. Higher than orange juice. 00:13:10.85\00:13:13.58 And by the way we use pimentos you can use 00:13:13.61\00:13:15.81 red bell pepper just chopped it up. 00:13:15.84\00:13:17.54 Oh! Okay. Yes, we took a brief shortcut, 00:13:17.57\00:13:20.32 onions. Let's add the onions. 00:13:20.35\00:13:24.53 Yes, onions are good for us, aren't they? 00:13:24.56\00:13:26.62 Yes, very good as well and along with garlic 00:13:26.65\00:13:29.23 they are very good for people that are hypertensive 00:13:29.26\00:13:32.89 or that have hypertension so I say, also 00:13:32.92\00:13:36.44 sea salt. Sea salt and capers. There is our caper. 00:13:37.90\00:13:44.07 There they are. Now what we gonna have to, 00:13:44.10\00:13:46.17 this is gonna start to change as we mix 00:13:46.20\00:13:48.89 because the, Excuse me Robin, sure, 00:13:48.92\00:13:51.73 the capers come chopped. No, they normally come to, 00:13:51.76\00:13:54.46 What does it look like? They look like little green balls, 00:13:54.49\00:13:57.30 almost like little green peas that sugared up the 00:13:57.33\00:13:59.55 little balls. The first time I saw this 00:13:59.58\00:14:02.05 Angy I was at a Italian restaurant in Chicago 00:14:02.08\00:14:05.24 and they served me with pasta on the side 00:14:05.62\00:14:07.90 and I went and did research and I said I'm gonna 00:14:07.93\00:14:10.33 learn how to make some dishes with that, I even, 00:14:10.36\00:14:12.95 I used them for the target sauce. 00:14:12.98\00:14:14.76 It gives it a nice tart taste and so, 00:14:14.79\00:14:17.70 you could put it in pasta. You can add on, 00:14:17.73\00:14:20.36 with the pasta on the side or not on the side but 00:14:20.39\00:14:23.66 in a dish. It won't give it a tart taste but again 00:14:23.69\00:14:25.89 the key is you definitely want to have a caper 00:14:26.18\00:14:30.08 that's soaked in lemon juice. 00:14:30.11\00:14:31.43 I cannot stress that enough. Okay, and lemon juice. 00:14:31.46\00:14:34.75 So, they are out there, but you have to look for them. 00:14:34.78\00:14:36.90 Yes. You just what mix it up? We just mix and mix 00:14:36.93\00:14:40.14 and mix and notice the thick. I like thick dressing. 00:14:40.17\00:14:43.36 This is definitely thick, and sometimes 00:14:43.39\00:14:47.22 I would scrape that elastic because you gonna 00:14:47.25\00:14:49.23 notice this gonna turn, it has like a pinkish little 00:14:49.26\00:14:52.47 reddish, yes, you to it, but also has lot of green in there 00:14:52.50\00:14:57.06 too so. That looks so good. And this is it, 00:14:57.09\00:14:59.29 this is it, and so simply serve from here. 00:14:59.32\00:15:01.92 Now can you put this on your salad? You can put, 00:15:01.95\00:15:04.51 definitely put this on a salad it 00:15:04.54\00:15:07.00 will enhance any salad for sure. 00:15:07.03\00:15:09.76 How about a dip? You can, I never used it for dip, 00:15:09.79\00:15:12.41 but I imagine there any application you can use 00:15:12.44\00:15:15.15 for 1,000 Island dressing. This will go well. 00:15:15.18\00:15:18.34 Wow! That's great. Alright, what we need to do is 00:15:19.25\00:15:23.25 move on to our next recipe, which is, 00:15:23.28\00:15:27.33 Our next recipe we called "Momma's Taco Salad" 00:15:27.36\00:15:30.62 and that consist of: 1 head of lettuce, sheredded 00:15:31.16\00:15:34.23 2 cups of pinto beans, cooked 00:15:35.43\00:15:38.02 2 cups of kidney beans, cooked 00:15:38.43\00:15:41.00 3 to 4 cups of any burger substitute of burger 00:15:41.62\00:15:45.66 crumbles substitute 1 medium onion, chopped 00:15:45.69\00:15:48.57 2 cups of tomatoes, chopped 1 cup of olives, sliced 00:15:48.60\00:15:54.45 4 cups of corn chips or broken tortilla chips 00:15:54.48\00:15:58.75 1/2 to 1 cup of salsa 2 cups of 00:15:58.78\00:16:03.13 Ten Thousand Island dressing or you could also use 00:16:03.16\00:16:07.33 1 cup of mayonnaise which is optional. 00:16:07.36\00:16:10.65 Okay, Momma's Taco Salad. Why Momma's Taco Salad? 00:16:12.46\00:16:16.60 Because this is my mother's recipe. Is it? Yes, it is. 00:16:16.63\00:16:20.08 Oh! My! My mother's recipe. This is gonna be a fun 00:16:20.11\00:16:23.63 recipe because what we use in this, all the, 00:16:23.66\00:16:26.93 all the ingredients we would, Yes, these are 00:16:27.66\00:16:29.75 ingredients that I made, of course, mayonnaise, 00:16:29.78\00:16:32.15 mayonnaise was not her and then there is, yeah, 00:16:32.18\00:16:34.39 some but we took what she, I had as a little boy. 00:16:34.42\00:16:37.88 I remember this is a boy, she should make this force 00:16:37.91\00:16:39.71 and so we decided to take it and transform into a 00:16:39.74\00:16:42.92 more healthier salad, yes and everyone loves salad. 00:16:42.95\00:16:45.67 They are light, they are quick. 00:16:45.70\00:16:46.90 This is a complete meal all by itself so. 00:16:46.93\00:16:49.37 Yes, the great summer meals, spring meal, you know. 00:16:49.40\00:16:51.95 Absolutely, Anytime meal. Yes, so. Okay, 00:16:51.98\00:16:55.33 where do we start now. We gonna start with just mixing, 00:16:55.36\00:16:57.54 now we've mentioned that the mayonnaise was optional. 00:16:57.57\00:16:59.46 I want to explain that, yes, please. 00:16:59.49\00:17:01.57 Basically if this was a regular 1,000 versus the 00:17:01.60\00:17:05.67 Ten Thousand Island dressing I would just say 00:17:05.70\00:17:08.07 the dressing would be fine because this is so 00:17:08.10\00:17:10.25 thick. I added a Mayo to it to thin it out. 00:17:10.28\00:17:14.47 Most 1,000 Island dressings are not this thick 00:17:14.50\00:17:17.71 and we want it a little thinner. So, the same base 00:17:17.74\00:17:22.33 that we use to make we just gonna add to it 00:17:22.36\00:17:24.28 and so that's like as an optional depending on 00:17:24.31\00:17:27.11 consistency. So we gonna add little bit more. 00:17:27.14\00:17:29.33 Little bit of mayo. Mixing up here. And you're mixing 00:17:30.36\00:17:33.81 the Ten Thousand Island dressing with the Mayo. 00:17:33.84\00:17:36.25 Yes. Okay. And so it just more, 00:17:36.28\00:17:38.59 it's a broader base because remember the Mayo went into, 00:17:38.62\00:17:41.62 that's right, the 1,000 Island dressing. Yes. 00:17:41.65\00:17:43.98 So, from there it's simple. We now go to this salad. 00:17:44.01\00:17:48.79 We gonna do put some lettuce on here and you will 00:17:48.82\00:17:51.53 notice. Let me make another mention a couple things; 00:17:51.56\00:17:54.39 no.1, we mix the beans together. The pinto beans 00:17:54.42\00:17:57.43 and the kidney beans go together as well 00:17:57.46\00:18:01.21 and also we gave the ingredients this would 00:18:01.24\00:18:04.12 feed a family normally but one thing you want to 00:18:04.15\00:18:06.84 mention or you need to know about the Taco salad is 00:18:06.87\00:18:10.80 only mix when you mix the wet ingredients with the dry 00:18:10.83\00:18:13.88 only mix what you going to eat for that day why 00:18:13.91\00:18:17.69 because when you mix it, it mix with the lettuce, 00:18:17.72\00:18:21.60 it gets softer for that day and so we want to only mix 00:18:21.63\00:18:24.79 what we are going to eat and so, for the demonstration 00:18:24.82\00:18:26.97 purposes we just want to mix a little and then you 00:18:27.00\00:18:30.15 and I will get to, I guess fight over 00:18:30.18\00:18:32.75 who is to eat this. Yeah. 00:18:32.78\00:18:34.95 But we gonna go from there, so we gonna go through 00:18:34.98\00:18:37.48 the little salad I mean little lettuce. By the way, 00:18:37.51\00:18:40.35 Now what kind of lettuce do you use? 00:18:40.38\00:18:41.35 I like to use raw and green leaf because they are 00:18:42.18\00:18:45.28 the healthier, however, for this Taco salad, 00:18:45.31\00:18:47.92 iceberg has the texture. It's a harder lettuce and so 00:18:47.95\00:18:51.76 what I did I mix the two together. 00:18:51.79\00:18:53.79 Oh! I still I don't wanna go all iceberg and give up 00:18:53.82\00:18:57.36 the, yes, normal use to have in my salad, but at the 00:18:57.39\00:19:00.36 same time I don't want to miss the texture that this 00:19:00.39\00:19:04.39 Taco salad gives because the crunch it all goes 00:19:04.42\00:19:07.63 in there, so we found the best of both we are so. 00:19:07.66\00:19:11.16 That's gonna go well. We can use corn chips 00:19:11.52\00:19:14.17 or we can also use, remember, it might be a 00:19:14.20\00:19:18.95 little easier. Yes. We said we could also use the 00:19:18.98\00:19:21.96 the broken tortilla chips, but traditionally this seems 00:19:21.99\00:19:25.90 to go over well with the Taco salad. 00:19:25.93\00:19:28.35 This gives a flavor. We gonna go ahead 00:19:28.38\00:19:31.64 and add our beans. I used one of these here. 00:19:31.67\00:19:35.11 Are beans good for you. Should not we be eaten 00:19:35.14\00:19:37.15 beans today? Oh! Yes, beans are good. 00:19:37.18\00:19:39.50 They are excellent for. They are very high in fiber. 00:19:39.53\00:19:42.66 They also held whole half something or they contain 00:19:42.69\00:19:46.46 something called L-arginine that makes it excellent 00:19:46.49\00:19:50.19 for high blood pressure or hypertension. 00:19:50.22\00:19:52.78 L-arginine what it does? When L-arginine gets into 00:19:53.25\00:19:56.83 the blood it converts to nitric oxide and when nitric 00:19:56.86\00:20:03.22 oxide is present in the blood it helps the arteries. 00:20:03.25\00:20:06.75 It causes the arteries to relax and then when that 00:20:06.78\00:20:09.30 happens the blood pressure comes down. Okay. 00:20:09.33\00:20:12.36 So beans are very high in the arginine, very good 00:20:12.39\00:20:15.83 for high blood pressure, also high in folic acid, 00:20:15.86\00:20:19.24 excellent for pregnant women, so that is something 00:20:19.27\00:20:22.45 as you said we will love to see in the diet everyday 00:20:22.48\00:20:25.91 or at least several 4 or 5 times a weeks if possible 00:20:25.94\00:20:28.73 so. In addition to the beans we gonna go ahead and add, 00:20:28.76\00:20:32.14 this is a very good crumbled that we've made 00:20:32.17\00:20:34.81 and we called this is our very own, 7 seasoning 00:20:34.84\00:20:37.91 Sauces Burger. 7 seasoning Now what do you mean 00:20:37.94\00:20:40.19 it's your very own? One of the recipes that are, 00:20:40.22\00:20:43.12 in the cookbook, yes, that we are coming out 00:20:43.15\00:20:45.66 with very shortly and so this would be there. 00:20:45.69\00:20:48.42 And this is, it's a vegetarian meat texture. 00:20:48.45\00:20:51.60 It's a vegan. Really. We wanna mix these to, 00:20:51.63\00:20:55.21 You just mix it up together. Yeah, mix it up together. 00:20:58.39\00:21:00.29 We gonna add more salad. In fact, let's go ahead 00:21:00.32\00:21:03.01 and add a little bit of everything, little onions 00:21:03.75\00:21:07.28 and depending on who is making it. 00:21:09.43\00:21:11.39 You may like a little more tomatoes 00:21:12.25\00:21:13.84 and I like little more salt to this burger. That's true. 00:21:13.87\00:21:17.21 But while we make like the olives. 00:21:17.92\00:21:19.89 Yeah, I tell you what a meal. You have to watch 00:21:19.92\00:21:22.98 children. Is everything, children like usually 00:21:23.01\00:21:25.33 little more corn chips. Yeah. But and then from here 00:21:25.36\00:21:29.12 what we simple gonna do we can add a little salsa, 00:21:29.91\00:21:32.74 what we made earlier. And which we made earlier 00:21:33.83\00:21:36.11 and then finally this is our dressing, if you will. 00:21:36.14\00:21:41.29 We gonna spread this on and actually what I want to 00:21:41.32\00:21:44.54 do we gonna mix this together. All of this goes 00:21:44.57\00:21:47.67 together. Now it's, let me ask you something 00:21:47.70\00:21:51.57 what about a little avocado or something with that. 00:21:51.60\00:21:55.50 Oh! I love avocado on this side, in fact, 00:21:55.53\00:21:57.66 I usually make this with avocado on the side. 00:21:57.69\00:22:00.56 It was not in the original recipe and since 00:22:00.59\00:22:03.30 I was calling that Mammo's. Brocomoli. 00:22:03.33\00:22:05.09 Yeah, when we were young we didn't know much about 00:22:05.12\00:22:06.84 avocado being from the Midwest, but when we make 00:22:06.87\00:22:10.49 it at our house it always avocado find just way right 00:22:10.52\00:22:14.55 into the scene here and so, yeah. You just stir it up. 00:22:14.58\00:22:19.40 You just mix it up here. We got a little bit on the 00:22:19.43\00:22:21.45 side, but that's okay. Oh! That. 00:22:21.48\00:22:25.24 And it is a complete meal. Yes, it is in one? 00:22:25.27\00:22:28.11 Now you wouldn't need to eat anything else 00:22:29.51\00:22:31.79 as you said? You really don't. There is raw food 00:22:31.82\00:22:34.79 here. There is fiber here. There is protein here 00:22:34.82\00:22:37.35 and after you eat this you don't feel sluggish, 00:22:37.38\00:22:41.17 you don't feel way down which typically happens 00:22:41.20\00:22:43.49 when you eat, you know, food Angy supposed to 00:22:43.52\00:22:45.82 build you up. Right. And often times we eat 00:22:45.85\00:22:48.69 and we feel sluggish and we feel worse then we did 00:22:48.72\00:22:51.32 before we even came to the dinner table. 00:22:51.35\00:22:53.33 So, this is definitely not something that's going to 00:22:53.36\00:22:55.95 happen with this particular meal. So, there is so much 00:22:55.98\00:22:59.37 going on here and I will probably need a bigger bowl 00:22:59.40\00:23:01.08 but you get the idea. It is all here, a meal in one. 00:23:01.11\00:23:06.63 And it's everything that we've made it's more 00:23:06.66\00:23:08.81 of a building meal. It's a building meal, 00:23:08.84\00:23:10.77 yes and so again excellent, I guarantee you no one 00:23:10.80\00:23:16.24 of the family will be disappointed when you 00:23:16.27\00:23:17.82 make this. We've never had a complained about this 00:23:17.85\00:23:20.52 Taco salad. Wow it makes in most Churches 00:23:20.55\00:23:23.43 we have fellowship lunch. Now let's take a look 00:26:00.62\00:26:02.61 at our finished recipes with Robin. 00:26:02.64\00:26:04.63 Okay, Robin, what don't you share with us 00:26:15.32\00:26:17.16 what we just made today. Sure, we started with 00:26:17.19\00:26:19.88 a Salsa. All fresh ingredients, 00:26:19.91\00:26:22.48 nothing was cooked and so this is definitely a 00:26:22.51\00:26:24.85 health alternative to the regular sauces with vinegar 00:26:24.88\00:26:28.40 and the hot peppers and things of that nature. 00:26:28.43\00:26:30.48 We been went to the Mayonnaise with simple 00:26:30.51\00:26:34.58 ingredients, but a delicate beautiful flavor. 00:26:34.61\00:26:37.41 Then we took the mayonnaise and from there we made a 00:26:37.44\00:26:40.31 1,000 Island dressing which we called the 00:26:40.34\00:26:42.64 Ten Thousand Island dressing and from there 00:26:42.67\00:26:45.58 we took all these ingredients and combined them 00:26:45.61\00:26:47.92 to make a Taco Salsa which not only with this 00:26:47.95\00:26:51.68 we have a complete meal in one with the sausage 00:26:51.71\00:26:54.94 burger crumbles with the beans, the chips, 00:26:54.97\00:26:57.99 and whole Mayonnaise. That's right. 00:26:58.02\00:26:59.77 I tell you this is just wonderful. 00:26:59.80\00:27:02.91 It's a healthy and nutritious of course. 00:27:02.94\00:27:05.18 Very, very healthy you have everything you need to 00:27:05.21\00:27:08.47 especially the Taco Salad. I mentioned to you about 00:27:08.50\00:27:11.00 the beans. I can't over-emphasize 00:27:11.03\00:27:13.38 that enough about the idea of the beans and L-arginine. 00:27:13.41\00:27:18.28 Anything, any food with L-arginine in it, 00:27:18.31\00:27:20.73 it's gonna be excellent for high blood pressure. 00:27:20.76\00:27:23.17 Also note it's actually worth mentioning the pumpkins 00:27:23.20\00:27:28.13 seeds also very high in L-arginine 00:27:28.16\00:27:31.39 and again remember L-arginine it goes into 00:27:31.42\00:27:33.99 the blood and when it gets into the blood it causes 00:27:34.02\00:27:36.84 production of nitric oxide, nitric oxide 00:27:36.87\00:27:39.40 when it's present causes the pressure, 00:27:39.43\00:27:41.56 the blood vessels to relax, pressure comes down, 00:27:41.59\00:27:44.71 so definitely something you want to consider 00:27:44.74\00:27:47.32 when you putting your menus in diet together, 00:27:47.35\00:27:50.05 so we do have that and the beans in the Taco Salad. 00:27:50.08\00:27:55.18 Alright, Wow! We wanna you thank you for coming here 00:27:55.65\00:27:58.24 and sharing your time with us 00:27:58.27\00:27:59.50 and your wonderful recipes.
