00:02 Praise Him! Praise Him! All you little children
00:06 God is love! God is love!
00:11 Praise Him! Praise Him!
00:13 All you little children, God is love! God is love!
00:24 Hi, boys and girls.
00:25 Have you ever talked on a telephone before?
00:27 Not everyone has a telephone,
00:29 but most people have seen one.
00:31 When a telephone rings you pick up the handset
00:33 and you put it to your ear and you'll say, hello!
00:36 And you when you talk on a telephone,
00:38 you can hear the other person.
00:40 You can ask them questions and they can answer you.
00:43 But do you see the other person?
00:45 No, of course not, but you know that they can hear you,
00:50 talking on the telephone is like prayer.
00:52 We can't see God, but when we talk to Him
00:55 we know that He hears us.
00:57 He been close to listen to our prayers
00:59 and He answers us.
01:01 Even though we can't see God
01:03 the way we can see people around us.
01:05 It doesn't mean that God is not with us.
01:07 In fact God can hear our prayers
01:10 when we whisper them in our hearts
01:11 without even opening our lips.
01:13 We can talk to God anytime of the day.
01:16 In the morning when we first get up,
01:18 or in the middle of the day, or even at night,
01:21 I like to talk to Jesus all day long.
01:24 Let's listen as Sophia sings "Whisper a Prayer."
01:35 Whisper a prayer in the morning
01:42 Whisper a prayer at noon
01:48 Whisper a prayer in the evening
01:53 too keep your heart in tune
02:00 God answers prayer in the morning
02:07 God answers prayer at noon
02:13 God answers prayer in the evening
02:19 To keep your heart in tune
02:26 Jesus may come in the morning
02:32 Jesus may come at noon
02:39 Jesus may come in the evening
02:45 So keep your heart in tune
02:54 The next song has some very beautiful words.
02:57 Let's listen, I pray you'll be our eyes,
03:00 and watch us where we go.
03:02 And help us to be wise in times when we don't know.
03:06 Let this be our prayer, when we lose our way,
03:10 lead us to the place, guide us with your grace,
03:13 to a place where we'll be safe.
03:16 Let's listen together as Isabel plays
03:18 the prayer on her violin with her sister
03:21 Wen-Ting playing on the piano.
03:25 [music]
06:01 When we pray Jesus' been is close to listen.
06:04 We don't have to shout to be heard.
06:06 We don't have to wave our arms to get His attention.
06:09 When we pray we're as close
06:11 to Jesus as we possibly can be.
06:13 And when we open our hearts in prayer,
06:16 we can ask Jesus to fill us with His goodness and love.
06:19 Let's listen as Zana sings "Nothing Between,
06:22 My Soul and My Savior."
06:33 Nothing between my soul and my Savior,
06:39 Naught of this world's delusive dream;
06:46 I have renounced all sinful pleasure;
06:53 Jesus is mine, there's nothing between.
07:00 Nothing between my soul and my Savior,
07:06 So that His blessed face may be seen;
07:13 Nothing preventing the least of His favor;
07:20 Keep the way clear! There's nothing between.
07:27 Nothing between, like worldly pleasure;
07:34 Habits of life, though harmless they seem,
07:41 Must not my heart from Him ever sever;
07:48 He is my all, there's nothing between.
07:55 Nothing between my soul and my Savior,
08:02 So that His blessed face may be seen;
08:09 Nothing preventing the least of His favor;
08:16 Keep the way clear! There's nothing between.
08:29 The time you've spend in prayer
08:30 with Jesus is a special time.
08:32 You'll feel close to Him and even sense His presence.
08:35 The more time you spent with Jesus,
08:37 the more you'll look forward to that time with Him
08:40 and He becomes your best friend.
08:42 When you learn to trust Jesus more,
08:44 you will built a deeper relationship with Him.
08:46 The song Brian will sing "In The Garden,"
08:49 is about that special time with Jesus.
09:01 I come to the garden alone
09:07 While the dew is still on the roses
09:15 And the voice I hear falling on my ear
09:22 The son of God discloses.
09:31 And He walks with me and He talks with me
09:39 And He tells me I am His own
09:46 And the joy we share as we tarry there
09:55 None other has ever known.
10:04 He speaks and the sound of His voice
10:10 Is so sweet that the birds hush their singing
10:19 And the melody that He gave to me
10:26 Within my heart is ringing.
10:35 And He walks with me and He talks with me
10:44 And He tells me I am His own
10:51 And the joy we share as we tarry there
11:01 None other has ever known.
11:14 Sometimes prayers refer to as breaking bread.
11:17 Now breaking bread is an
11:18 old fashion term for having a meal.
11:20 And that's why we say,
11:22 prayer is like breaking bread.
11:24 When you pray Jesus fills you with His spirit
11:27 and He gives you the strength you need to go on.
11:29 It's like a spiritual meal that
11:31 sustains you through the day.
11:33 The song Geoffrey is going to play is called
11:35 "Let us Break Bread Together."
11:46 [music]
13:36 When you pray, you can talk to God.
13:38 What would you like to tell Him?
13:40 I would like to tell Him how much I love Him
13:42 and what better thing to say to Him each day.
13:45 He doesn't need to hear our thank yous
13:46 for the wonderful things He has done for us.
13:48 But it sure does help us to
13:50 remember just how great He is.
13:52 Lets' listen as Ellann sings "Great Are You Lord."
14:03 Holy Lord, most holy Lord
14:10 You alone are worthy of my praise
14:17 O holy Lord, most holy Lord
14:24 With all of my heart I sing Great are You Lord
14:38 Worthy of praise Great are You Lord
14:50 Great are You Lord Most holy Lord
15:02 When you pray to God, you're opening your heart to Him
15:05 and that let Him pours love right into your heart.
15:09 The Bible tells us story about lamps.
15:11 When we pray to Jesus and spend time with Him.
15:13 It's like putting oil into our lamps
15:15 to keep them burning.
15:17 And when our lamps are burning brightly,
15:19 that's because God has filled us up with His love.
15:23 Let's listen as Zoei sings "Give Me Oil In My Lamp."
15:31 Give me oil in my lamp, keep me burning
15:36 Give me oil in my lamp, I pray
15:41 Give me oil in my lamp, keep me burning
15:45 Keep me burning 'til the break of day
15:50 Sing Hosannah, sing Hosannah
15:55 Sing Hosannah to the King of Kings
15:59 Sing Hosannah, sing Hosannah
16:04 Sing Hosannah to the King!
16:08 Make me fishers of men, keep me fishing
16:12 Make me fishers of men I pray
16:16 Make me fishers of men, keep me fishing
16:21 Seeking souls till Jesus comes again.
16:26 Sing Hosannah, sing Hosannah
16:30 Sing Hosannah to the King of Kings
16:34 Sing Hosannah, sing Hosannah
16:39 Sing Hosannah to the King!
16:48 When you pray to God,
16:49 it's also important to listen,
16:51 conversations go two ways
16:53 and He wants to talk to you too.
16:55 Don't you want to hear what He is saying to you?
16:58 God whispers into your heart and He often reminds you
17:01 of the things that you read in the Bible.
17:03 The song Bryan will play
17:04 on the steelpan is called "Word of God's Speak,"
17:08 and it's about how God talks to you too.
17:24 [music]
18:44 God's love is the powerful thing.
18:46 It can change you from being an angry
18:48 and cruel person into a kind
18:50 and giving, and loving person.
18:52 It's like a caterpillar changing into a butterfly.
18:55 God meant for you to be kind and loving
18:57 and His love will turn you into the child
19:00 that He want you to be.
19:01 Love can turn the world as we'll hear from the
19:05 "Orangevale Girls Chorus."
19:29 We're as different as night and day
19:32 We're the same in different ways
19:35 And it's true, just look at me and you
19:43 We can change the way we are
19:47 'cause power lives inside our hearts
19:50 We can be what God wants us to be
19:58 If coal can turn to diamonds And sand can turn to pearls
20:05 If a worm can turn into a butterfly
20:09 Then love can turn the world
20:12 Yes, God's love can turn the world, Jesus!
20:18 The God who made you made us all
20:22 Big and little, short and tall
20:25 And that's fine 'cause I can
20:27 tell you that it takes all kinds
20:33 If He had made us all alike It sure would be boring life
20:40 But He knew what a little time could do
20:48 If coal can turn to diamonds And sand can turn to pearls
20:55 If a worm can turn into a butterfly
20:58 Then love can turn the world
21:01 Yes, God's love can turn the world
21:04 If coal can turn to diamonds And sand can turn to pearls
21:11 If a worm can turn into a butterfly
21:14 Then love can turn the world
21:17 Yes, God love can turn the world
21:21 Yes, God love can turn the world
21:33 When we pray to God, we're talking to the
21:35 one and only true God and He is so awesome
21:38 and so amazing that we'll never fully understand Him.
21:42 He is the above all when Jesus died on the cross,
21:45 He was thinking about you
21:47 and He was putting you above Himself.
21:49 He put you above all, because He loves you.
21:53 That's a lot of love isn't?
21:55 Let's listen together as Lester plays "Above All."
22:06 [music]
24:53 You can tell God anything at all.
24:55 He loves you so much that He cares about you,
24:57 and He cares about all the little details in your life.
25:00 He wants you to share your thoughts
25:02 and feelings with Him. Do you ever talk to Him?
25:05 If you haven't, why not start now.
25:07 I know He wants to hear your prayer.
25:09 So listen carefully as Sarah sings
25:12 "Did You Ever Talk to God."
25:25 Did you ever talk to God above?
25:30 Tell Him that you need a friend to love.
25:34 Pray in Jesus' name believing
25:38 that God answers prayer.
25:43 Have you told Him all your cares and woes?
25:47 Every tiny little fear He knows.
25:52 You can know He'll always hear
25:54 And He will answer prayer.
26:00 You can whisper in a crowd to Him.
26:05 You can cry when you're alone to Him.
26:10 You don't have to pray out loud to Him;
26:14 He knows your thoughts.
26:18 On a lofty mountain peak, He's there.
26:23 In a meadow by a stream, He's there.
26:27 Anywhere on earth you go,
26:31 He's been there from the start.
26:36 Find the answer in His Word; it's true.
26:41 You'll be strong because He walks with you.
26:45 By His faithfulness He'll change you, too.
26:50 God answers prayer
26:59 Thank you Sarah, do you ever talk to God?
27:02 I do, I love to talk to Him all day long.
27:05 He's my best friend and I know
27:07 He wants to be your best friend too.
27:09 Why don't you have a little talk with Jesus today?
27:11 He's just waiting to hear from you.
27:13 Well, it looks like that's all the time we have today.
27:16 I want you to remember boys and girls
27:18 to make Jesus your best friend.
27:20 I want you to talk to Him all day long.
27:22 Tell Him all the things that is in your heart
27:25 and He wants to hear from you.
27:27 Remember boys and girls,
