00:06 God is love! God is love! Praise Him! Praise Him! 00:13 All you little children, God is love! God is love! 00:23 Hi boys and girls, did you know that 00:25 people from all over the world love music. 00:29 In fact, there is not a country anywhere 00:32 that doesn't have music, Thailand, China, 00:33 Canada, Switzerland, India, Africa. 00:35 You name it, everyone loves music. 00:38 Music has been called the universal language 00:41 because no matter what language people speak 00:43 they all put their feelings into music 00:46 God created us to love music because He loves music too. 00:50 And we are made in His image. When Jesus was born 00:53 the angel celebrated with the beautiful choir. 00:56 And when Jesus comes again the Bible says 00:59 He will blow a mighty trumpet. 01:01 King David wrote up many songs called Psalms 01:04 and they were praises to God. 01:06 David was called man after God's own heart. 01:10 Today, we will going to listen to classical praise 01:13 the Musicians are going to use musical instruments 01:15 and their won't be any singing but if you listen carefully 01:19 you can hear the universal language of music. 01:22 The composers who wrote this music, 01:24 put their feelings into melodies. 01:26 Now, some songs were peaceful and some were joyful. 01:30 some are thankful, some are just full of love. 01:33 Let's see if you can hear the message in the music 01:35 as Geoffrey plays handles "Thine is the Glory." 01:41 [music] 04:12 Wasn't that beautiful? I can hear that 04:14 awesomeness of God in that song, couldn't you? 04:17 Kind of made me thank for the God 04:18 for all that He has done for me? 04:21 Geoffrey's trumpet reminds me of the one that 04:23 Jesus will blow when He comes again. 04:25 Next we are going to hear a very different instrument, a harp. 04:29 Millicent is now going to play "Angel's Hymm." 04:35 [music] 05:52 Do you ever wonder what Angels sing about? 05:54 I think that they sing about God's love. 05:56 God wants everyone to know how much He loves us 05:59 and that's why He wants us to spread the word. 06:02 Let's listen as Gaga plays "Once To Every Man & Nation." 06:08 [music] 10:06 Music is a wonderful way to spread the love of Jesus. 10:09 The next song will be played on the violin and cello. 10:12 And they are both stringed instruments 10:14 and they require the use of a bow to play them. 10:16 This song is about Jesus love when He died for us. 10:20 Let's listen quietly as Amos and Jessica play 10:23 "When I Survey The Wonderous Cross." 10:28 [music] 11:25 Did you know that piano was considered to be both 11:27 a string and a percussion instrument 11:30 that's because the piano has strings inside of it 11:32 that make the sound of notes. When you press the piano key 11:36 a little hammer hits a string to create the right note. 11:39 Let's listen as Erice plays "How Great Thou Art." 11:46 [music] 14:18 God really is great isn't He? 14:20 And what better way to say it than with music. 14:23 When I feel really happy because I love Jesus, 14:25 I just want to bust into song. 14:28 Melissa and William know about that happiness 14:30 and that's why they are going to play 14:32 "All That Thrills My Soul Is Jesus." 14:38 [music] 17:08 Do you know why knowing Jesus makes us so happy? 17:11 It's because He has given us the hope of heaven 17:13 and that joy of salvation and He meets our every need. 17:17 Let's hear song "Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring" 17:20 written by Bach describes the deep desire 17:23 that is fulfilled when we know Jesus. 17:25 Let's listen and meditate as Lester plays 17:27 this inspiring song on his saxophone. 17:32 [music] 20:44 The next song includes the portion of the Ode to Joy, 20:48 which is the last part of Beethoven's 9th Symphony. 20:50 And when Beethoven conducted this Symphony 20:53 for the first time the audience gave him 20:55 five ovations, royalty only got three. 20:58 Everyone could feel God's love through His music. 21:02 Let's listen as the Chung family plays "Sing Joyful Praise." 21:08 [music] 22:36 Do you know what the word meditation means? 22:38 Well, it means to think deeply 22:40 about something especially in prayer to God. 22:43 Well, Isabel plays our next song "Meditation". 22:46 I want you to think about our 22:47 great creator God as she plays the violin 22:50 and her sister Wen-Ting plays the piano. 22:55 [music] 27:03 [music] 27:15 Music is a gift from God and I am so glad 27:18 that God gave us music, so that we can express 27:20 our joy and our love for Him. 27:23 Some things are best said through music aren't they? 27:25 God loves our music of praise and I think that the angels 27:28 sing along with us when we praise God 27:30 from our hearts. 27:31 Isn't that wonderful thought? 27:33 I hope you have enjoyed our classical praise music today. 27:36 Remember boys and girls, where ever you go, 27:38 what ever you do, its Kids Time to praise Jesus. |
