00:08 God is love, God is love 00:12 Praise Him, praise Him All ye little children 00:16 God is love, God is love 00:23 Hi, boys and girls. 00:25 My friend, Gina, has a daughter named, Michaela. 00:27 In fact, I'd like to show you her picture. 00:29 She is so adorable, isn't she? 00:32 Well recently, Michaela asked her mommy for a treasure box. 00:35 I want a pretty little box 00:36 to put all my treasures in she said. 00:38 So her mommy gave her a nicely decorated box 00:41 and was beautiful. 00:42 And now that little box sits on the nightstand 00:45 by Michaela's bed. 00:46 Inside the box, are a few notes 00:48 that a friend at church wrote to her 00:50 and maybe some pretty hair clips, 00:52 and ribbons, and a few odds in inside that. 00:54 But the funny thing is the treasures 00:56 in the box seem to change every other day 00:58 and Michaela is constantly taking things 01:00 out of the box and putting new things in the box. 01:04 The things she treasured one day are not necessarily 01:07 the things she treasures another day. 01:09 That reminds me of one 01:10 of Uncle Arthur's bedtime stories. 01:13 One rainy day, some children told their mother 01:15 that they were bored and miserable. 01:16 They couldn't play outside because of the rain 01:18 and they'd run out of things to do inside. 01:21 I tell you what said their mother. 01:23 Let's have a treasure hunt, 01:25 and the children got so excited. 01:27 I've buried a treasure somewhere in this house 01:30 and I am going to give you 15 minutes 01:32 to find it their mother continued. 01:34 Now the object I've hidden is not very small 01:37 and it's not very big 01:38 and it's the most valuable thing in our house. 01:42 When the mother started counting 01:44 and away the kids ran to hunt 01:46 for the mysterious treasure. 01:47 They brought her so many things 01:49 including family heirlooms, but time after time 01:53 the mother said, no just keep hunting. 01:56 Finally, one of the kids 01:57 quietly handed mother the family Bible. 02:01 Well done, said mother. You found it. 02:04 This is the most valuable treasure in our house. 02:07 Now the other children were surprised 02:09 and a little bit disappointed. 02:10 How can an old book be the greatest treasure 02:12 in their whole house? 02:14 Mother pointed out to them 02:15 that the bible is a goldmine of truth. 02:18 It tells us how to share someday 02:19 in the endless riches of God's eternal kingdom. 02:23 I wonder, boys and girls, 02:24 if you know what a treasure your Bible is. 02:26 It's full of beautiful stories of Jesus and His love 02:29 and it's the most important book 02:31 you'll ever read. 02:33 And it's the treasure that should not be hidden away 02:35 or stuck up on some dusty shelf. 02:38 Why don't you pick up your Bible today 02:39 and start reading it for yourself. 02:41 It's
