God is love! 00:24 Hi, boys and girls. 00:25 I've some interesting books with me today. 00:28 Do you know my friend Dennis Church, 00:29 at the Review and Herald Publishing Association 00:32 was kind enough to share with me 00:33 some very special books, 00:35 that have been written to help kids like you 00:37 to learn to have their own daily devotions. 00:41 And here is a special book 00:42 written just for preschoolers. 00:43 Its' called "My Best Friend Jesus." 00:46 And it was written by Cheryl Lynn Woolsey. 00:48 It has special Bible text and stories 00:51 chosen just for little kids. 00:53 And they can have a grown up to read it, okay. 00:55 Now the other three books are especially 00:57 for you older kids. 00:58 One of them is called "Hiking with Jesus" by Jim Feldbush. 01:02 Oh! That sounds like a good thing, doesn't it? 01:04 And then here is another one 01:06 that's called "God's Big Idea" 01:08 by Rosanne Tetz, and one more "Heroes in Training" 01:12 by Vicki Redden. 01:13 Ooh! That sounds good too. 01:14 All of them have wonderful stories 01:16 that will bring you closer to Jesus. 01:19 And this one is the most important book of all. 01:23 It's the most important worship book, 01:25 because it's the Bible. 01:26 It was written for every age from preschoolers to grandmas 01:30 and grandpas everywhere. 01:31 Now I want to make it clear that worship isn't something 01:34 you do on certain days 01:35 or at certain times of the day. 01:37 Worship is the very focus of your life and energy. 01:41 You know, it's the way you express your deepest desires 01:44 and values, and that comes out in all that you do. 01:48 You can tell when someone worships 01:49 by listening to the things that, 01:51 that person likes to talk about the most. 01:53 But books like these, can direct your focus 01:56 on the things that really matter. 01:58 They can divert your tension from all the distractions 02:01 that the devil likes to put in your way. 02:03 And it's so important 02:04 that we spend our life here on earth, 02:07 preparing for eternal life in heaven. 02:10 Now when you're about to take a long trip, 02:12 you probably spend time planning 02:14 and getting things all together, don't you? 02:16 And that's what we should be doing now. 02:18 Planning for that trip to heaven 02:20 and getting together those things of eternal value 02:24 that we'll need there. 02:25 Things like prayerful loving characters 02:28 and hearts of praise. 02:30 And don't forget, we all want to take our friends 02:32 and our loved ones with us, 02:34 so you need to share Jesus with everyone you meet. 02:37 Boys and girls I hope 02:38 you will make it a habit right now, 02:41 while you will yearn to spend time 02:42 reading about Jesus and praying to Him everyday. 02:47 It's going to help you understand 02:48 how much Jesus really loves you? 02:51 And you will learn to love Him even more. 03:04 O Lord my God! when I in awesome wonder 03:13 Consider all the works Thy hand hath made 03:21 I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder 03:30 Thy power throughout the universe displayed 03:38 Then sings my soul, my Savior God to Thee 03:47 How great Thou arts!
