God is love! 00:24 Hi, boys and girls. 00:25 I'm sitting here reading my Bible 00:26 and I just love spending time in God's word. 00:30 But did you know that the Bible is full of songs? 00:34 That's right. 00:35 Now I know you're probably thinking of the 00:37 Book of Psalms and that does contain 00:39 many poems that were ones put to music. 00:41 But those aren't the only songs in the Bible. 00:44 When the Israelites were finally delivered from Egypt, 00:47 Moses sister Miriam wrote a song for 00:49 all the children of Israel to sing into the Lord. 00:52 And you can find that song in Exodus 15. 00:55 Once God told Moses to gather the Israelites at a dry well. 00:59 And when God gave them water from the well, 01:02 the Israelites sing a little song, 01:04 and that song is recorded in Numbers 21. 01:08 Another time God told Moses at the end of his life 01:11 to write a song that foretold that the Israelites 01:14 would turn against God someday, 01:16 and even after they had been safely delivered to the 01:18 promise Land of Canaan. Can you imagine? 01:21 Well, Moses was to teach the song to the Israelites 01:24 to be a future witness against them 01:26 when they experienced the 01:27 consequences of their rebellion. 01:29 That sad song can be found in Deuteronomy 32. 01:34 You know, there are so many 01:35 more songs recorded in the Bible. 01:37 And I wish I can hear how they 01:38 sounded in their original melodies. 01:41 I hope, we'll hear them sung when we get in heaven. 01:43 And I think we will, don't you? 01:44 But for now, we're gonna have to be content to read them 01:47 and imagine what they might have sounded like. 01:51 Well, boys and girls, the song I'm really 01:54 looking for to hearing is the 01:55 one prophesied in Revelation 5:13. 01:58 In fact, I'd like you to get your Bibles 02:00 and turn to Revelations 5:13. 02:03 And it says, we are told that when Jesus returned, 02:06 we'll hear music more wonderful 02:08 than anything we've ever heard before. 02:11 And the angels are gonna sing a song of triumph. 02:14 They are going to sing. 02:15 "To him who sits upon the throne 02:18 and to the Lamb be blessing and honor and glory 02:21 and might forever and ever!" 02:24 Wow!
