When I was a little girl, 00:26 I used to love singing a song in Sabbath school; 00:29 A boat called Sailing to a mission land. 00:31 Have you heard that song? You know, 00:33 there is something so exciting about the thought of mission 00:35 boats and they are sailing to distant lands 00:37 and carrying the missionaries 00:39 and the Bible and the doctors and the teachers. 00:41 You know I just love hearing stories 00:43 about children in other countries? 00:45 I often dreamed that being a missionary when I grew up. 00:48 Well, little that I know that my dream would come true. 00:51 Now I have never sailed on a boat 00:53 as a missionary to far-off lands. 00:55 Although I have visited many countries by airplane, 00:58 but my picture and my voice sail all over the world 01:01 through the airways everyday, 01:03 reminding you that Jesus is coming soon 01:05 and that He want you to be ready and waiting for Him. 01:08 Also my offerings at church in Sabbath school, 01:11 they helped to send missionaries 01:13 and Bibles and doctors and teachers. 01:15 You know, wherever they needed, 01:16 even right here in my own country. 01:18 So boys and girls Jesus called every one of His followers 01:22 to be a missionary and that includes you. 01:25 He has given each one of us a very special mission 01:27 and that is to share Jesus love 01:29 and the news of His soon coming with others every day. 01:34 Now hundreds of years ago, a young boy He stood on a beach 01:36 and he gazed out at the ocean. 01:38 He was day dreaming as he was watching ships that sailed by. 01:42 Now he dreamed of sailing a ship far away to China 01:46 because he wanted to bring back spices 01:47 and gold and silver to this country, 01:49 to his own country. Well, that boy was a dreamer 01:53 and his dreams prepared him to become one of the most 01:55 famous Ocean explores in actually the world. 01:59 His name was Christopher Columbus. 02:02 And he did sail to distant lands when he grew up. 02:05 Distant lands that no one in his country even knew existed. 02:09 He accomplished things that were much more important 02:12 than bringing back treasures from China 02:14 and he discovered a new land 02:16 and that land became a refuge for people 02:19 who needed a safe place to worship 02:20 God according to the Bible. Just like Christopher Columbus 02:24 you are childhood dreams are even now preparing 02:26 you for the specific mission that Jesus had for you someday. 02:31 And it's good to dream and plan and pray about things 02:33 right now while you are still young. 02:36 And when you are older you are going to be able look back 02:38 and see how God used those dreams to help make you 02:42 the person that God wants you to be 02:44 and to fulfill His mission for your life. 02:47 I would like to encourage you to be a missionary 02:49 and share Jesus every day. 03:18 Everything I am Everything I'll be 03:29 I give it to you, Lord And do it thankfully 03:38 Every song I sing Every praise I bring 03:44 Everything I do is a gift to You 04:04 Everything I have All You've given me 04:15 I give it to You Lord And do it thankfully 04:25 Every song I sing.
