God is love! 00:25 Hi boys and girls, I have heard some great 00:27 sermons in church haven't you? 00:29 My dad and both of my brothers are pastors 00:32 and I just love to hear them preach. 00:34 Sometimes though it maybe difficult to remember 00:36 all the things that I've learned in church, 00:39 so I kind of like to take notes. 00:41 You can do that too, maybe on a little piece 00:43 of paper or even the back of your church bulletin. 00:45 And just kind of put it away in a nice safe place 00:48 that you can find it easily. 00:50 But I've been thinking isn't it amazing that Jesus 00:53 disciples were able to write the sermons down 00:55 almost word for word, years after they had 00:58 heard them. Now the disciples followed Jesus 01:01 around the countryside for quite some time and 01:03 I doubt that they had many chances to take 01:05 notes what they were listening besides most 01:08 of them were not highly educated men. 01:11 And yet they were able to write down what 01:14 Jesus said in great detail more than a decade 01:17 after they had sat at Jesus and listened. 01:20 Well the Bible tells us the answer to that before 01:24 Jesus was crucified; he warned his disciples that 01:27 they would have to defend their belief some day. 01:30 But He told them not to plan ahead what they 01:32 would say; He promised that the Holy Spirit 01:35 would give them the words to say when they 01:38 were in those situations. 01:40 Now Jesus promised the disciples that after 01:42 you return to heaven, the Holy Spirit would 01:45 not only help them recall what they had heard 01:47 but also comfort them in times of trouble and 01:50 continue teaching them about God's truths. 01:53 Now the Bible tells us that the Holy Spirit moved 01:56 men to write the scriptures in much the same 01:59 way that say as strong wind blows a tiny boat 02:03 across the water during a storm. 02:06 And that's why we can trust the Bible; 02:08 we know that God sent His Holy Spirit to direct 02:12 what was written. That explains why the 02:14 disciples were able to remember so vividly what 02:17 they had seen and heard during Jesus Ministry. 02:20 Now the Holy Spirit help them remember and gave 02:23 them the ability to write down what they had 02:26 remembered thoroughly and accurately. 02:30 Boys and girls, the same Holy Spirit who inspired 02:32 men to write the Bible is here with us today. 02:36 We can pray and we can ask God to guide us and 02:39 teach us and through His Holy Spirit in just the 02:42 same way that He guided and taught Jesus disciples. 02:46 Wow! What an awesome promise that is, 02:48 isn't it? Why don't you ask God to fill you with 02:51 His spirit today? God will answer that prayer and 02:54 will fill you with the Holy Spirit so that you can 02:57 think more clearly and you will act 02:59 in ways that will please Jesus. 03:12 I started walking when I was small 03:17 I'm learning new things as I grow 03:22 Some people say I'm getting so tall 03:27 Where did that little kid go? 03:31 Inside and out God is making me new 03:36 You may not see it happening until he is through 03:45 Little by little I'm changing, I'm growing 03:53 Little by little I'm not sure its showing 04:02 I'm not who I'm, I'm not who I'll be 04:07 I'm somewhere in the middle 04:11 But God is changing me, little by little 04:26 Sometimes it feels like I'm so far away 04:30 From all that I know I should be 04:35 But His word says that He'll finish one day 04:40 All that He started in me 04:45 I look at me and I don't understand 04:50 That God has a vision and God has a plan 04:58 Little by little I'm changing, I'm growing 05:07 Little by little I'm not sure its showing 05:15 I'm not who I'm, I'm not who I'll be 05:20 I'm somewhere in the middle 05:25 But God is changing me, little by little. 05:52 Holy, holy, holy!
