God is love 00:24 Hi, boys and girls. 00:25 You know, I have noticed something about people. 00:28 Some are full of joy and there so happy 00:31 and some are well, some are not so full of joy. 00:35 The fun thing is some of the most joyful 00:37 people in the world have faced 00:39 the greatest trials in their lives. 00:41 And on the other hand, some people who have 00:43 had things pretty easy for them never seem 00:46 to be happy about anything, do they. 00:48 At least they are never happy 00:49 unless every thing is going their way. 00:51 And have you ever wondered why that is? 00:54 Where do the really joyful people get all that joy? 00:58 Oh, I would like to show you a picture 01:00 of very dear lady named, Ona. 01:03 And she has lived by herself 01:04 in the Northern United States 01:06 for a lot of years because 01:07 she just turned 90 years old. 01:11 Her husband been died several years ago 01:13 and she has had to face many hard winters alone 01:16 in the wilderness cabin where she lives. 01:18 And she survived countless troubles and heartaches. 01:22 She suffers from arthritis, she is in constant pain, 01:25 but she is known as one of the most joyful people 01:28 in her whole community and everybody loves Ona. 01:32 You know boys and girls, let me share with you 01:34 some of Ona's secrets of all that joyfulness. 01:37 First, Ona loves God. 01:40 She is quick to Praise God for everything 01:42 in her life, even the trials. 01:44 She speaks of Jesus as friend. 01:46 And she trusts Him and believes Him 01:48 and she knows that God is in control of all things 01:51 even the big things and the little things. 01:54 Second, Ona loves people. 01:57 She accepts them for who they are 01:59 and even though they have witnesses and failures, 02:02 she tells people how they have been 02:04 such a blessing to her and she lets people 02:06 know that she appreciates them. 02:07 And she has a smile and a word of encouragement 02:10 for everybody she needs. 02:12 Thirdly, Ona loves life. 02:16 She figure each day as a special gift 02:18 from God be treasured and lived to it's fullest 02:21 and whatever the circumstances, 02:23 life is so precious to the very end 02:26 and eternal life in heaven would be even better. 02:30 Well, one day Ona overheard two younger men 02:33 that were complaining about the weather 02:34 and how it was affecting their plains 02:36 and there were all bickering about it. 02:38 Ona marched right up to them and asked, 02:41 "Boys, do have your feet on the floor?" 02:44 Well, they looked kind of cheapish 02:45 and they said yes. 02:47 Yes, Ona we do. 02:49 Well, she declared. 02:51 And she said loud for everybody to hear 02:53 then it's a good day. 02:56 And away Ona went leaving the men and everybody else 02:58 that heard really thinking about their attitudes. 03:03 I want to read in Proverbs 17:22. 03:06 It says here, "A merry heart doeth good 03:11 like a medicine but a broken spirit drieth the bones." 03:17 You know in this life, we all suffer the effects 03:19 and consequences of sin, but joyfulness eases 03:22 our suffering, doesn't it? 03:24 And it helps us also ease the suffering of others 03:27 and until that joyful day when Jesus comes 03:29 and all the suffering will end forever. 03:32 I can't wait for that day, can you? 03:42 [Singing in Foreign Language] 05:55 [Singing in Foreign Christ of Calvary 14:15 GO -and tell the story, of the Christ of Calvary 14:22 He forgives their sins and He saved their soul 14:26 He cleansed their heart and He made them whole 14:29 GO -and tell the story, of the Christ of Calvary 14:37 WATCH and be ready 14:40 for the Lord may come one day 14:44 WATCH and be ready 14:47 for the Lord may come one day 14:51 He will come again in the clouds for
