00:08 God is love, God is love 00:12 Praise Him, praise Him, all ye little children 00:17 God is love, God is love. 00:23 Hi, boys and girls, have you ever seen one of these? 00:26 When I was young, these smiley faces 00:29 were really, really popular. 00:31 And you could buy all sorts of things 00:32 with smiley faces all over them, 00:35 buttons, and stickers, and t-shirts, 00:37 and 100s of other items, even pajamas. 00:41 For a while, it seemed like 00:42 smiley faces were just everywhere. 00:45 But you know what I've noticed 00:46 is that smiley faces are kind of making a comeback. 00:49 And I started to see smiley face 00:51 buttons and stickers in stores again. 00:53 Why, the other day, I even saw a pair of pajamas. 00:56 And some of you have even emailed me some smiley faces. 01:01 You know, boys and girls, why do you think 01:03 smiley faces are so popular. 01:05 Have you ever wondered that? I have. 01:08 I think maybe it's because the people in this world, 01:11 people like you and me, were hungry for something 01:15 and that something is happiness. 01:17 Sometimes seeing a smiley face 01:19 makes you grin even when you don't feel like smiling. 01:23 And just for a moment you can pretend that 01:25 all is well with the world. 01:27 And finding happiness is as easiest 01:30 putting on a sticker that's-- or maybe wearing a shirt 01:33 that has a smiley face on it. 01:35 But sometimes our smiles hide pain 01:37 and sadness that is deep within our hearts, doesn't it? 01:40 And many of you have shared your heartaches 01:42 and your struggles with me in your letters and your emails, 01:45 and I have to tell you sometimes those letters 01:48 just bring tears to my eyes. 01:50 I understand how you feel. 01:51 And I've -- I've had my own share of pain 01:53 and heartache and challenges in life. 01:56 So where do you find that kind of happiness 01:58 that we're all looking for. 02:01 Is it as easy as wearing 02:02 a smiley face sticker on your shirt? 02:05 Some people seem to think so, don't they? 02:08 But I've noticed something. 02:10 I've noticed that happy and the unhappy people 02:13 all seem to have the same kind of struggles in life. 02:16 So why then-- why are some people 02:20 happy while others aren't? 02:23 Because everyone has troubles in life, don't we? 02:26 I think the secret is found in the Bible. 02:28 I want you to get your Bibles. 02:30 Whenever you see Kids Time or Kids Time Praise, 02:32 I want you to bring your Bibles. 02:33 Now turn to Psalms 144:50.
