00:04 Praise Him! Praise Him! All you little children

God is love 00:23 Hi boys and girls, I love stories, don't you? 00:26 Well, recently I heard a great story 00:28 I like to share with you. 00:30 One cold winter night an older couple, 00:32 were waiting for their son and his family 00:34 to come for a visit. Now earlier that evening 00:37 the couple's old donkey had escaped from the barn. 00:40 It had wandered off into the darkness. 00:42 But it was way too cold and stormy to go after him. 00:46 Now a terrible snow storm had now turned 00:49 into a blinding blizzard and the coupe became 00:52 very worried for their son knowing that he was traveling 00:55 in the storm. Now they were hoping against 00:58 hope that their son maybe had decided to stop at a motel 01:02 where him and his family would be safe from the storm. 01:05 And then would come the next day. 01:07 Well they knelt down and they prayed 01:09 and they asked God to protect their family 01:11 and give them traveling mercy. Well unfortunately 01:15 all the motels had been full, and so with nothing else to do 01:19 their son decided to drive on through the storm 01:22 towards his parent's house. Now storm got so bad 01:26 and the snow was coming out full and fast 01:28 that they couldn't even see out of window to drive. 01:31 They didn't know where the road was, 01:33 and the snowdrifts were piling up high everywhere. 01:36 Pretty soon he had to stop. He just couldn't travel 01:40 anymore and be safe. So, now what he was going to do? 01:45 He had no idea where they even were, 01:47 didn't have any idea how far away 01:50 his parents house was, 01:51 and he couldn't see in front of him. 01:54 Well, as he stepped out of his car door, 01:57 he bumped right into, you'll never believe this, 02:01 but something big and warm and fuzzy, 02:04 you know it was? It was his parent's donkey. 02:07 Knowing his family would not be safe 02:09 in the car all night because of the cold, 02:12 he lifted his child onto the donkey 02:15 and he and his wife started following the donkey 02:17 through the storm as it plotted around trees 02:21 and snowdrifts and into that cold black night. 02:26 All they could do is hope that donkey would take them 02:29 to safety because their very lives depended on it. 02:33 Well, meanwhile his parents were still praying 02:36 back in their house. And never so often 02:38 they peered out the window, you know just hoping 02:41 that they could see headlights appearing in the drive way. 02:44 But there were no lights. Time went on 02:47 and they became more and more worried. 02:50 Suddenly they heard a knock at the door. 02:53 They ran at the door and when they opened it, 02:55 there stood their son with his wife and their child, 02:58 all covered with ice and snow. 03:00 And behind them was a familiar furry face. 03:05 You know, their old donkey was the hero of the day. 03:08 Now who would you think sent that donkey 03:10 out in the storm to guide that little family to safety? 03:13 God did of course. God guides us, 03:16 not only to snowstorms and dark nights, 03:19 but also through the storms and challenges of life. 03:22 Let's read some of God's promises in the Bible. 03:24 Get your Bibles up boys and girls 03:26 and turn the Psalms 32:8. God has promised, 03:31 "I will instruct thee and teach thee 03:33 in the way which thou halt go. 03:36 And I will guide thee with mine eye". 03:40 Another promise is found in Romans 8:28 03:43 and just turn right over to me right here in Romans 8:28, 03:47 "All things work together for good to those who love God 03:52 and are called according to His purpose". 03:55 Wow! What wonderful promises, 03:58 just like the old familiar hymn says, 04:01 "All The Way My Savior Leads Me". 04:03 Do you remember that song?
