00:03 Praise Him, praise Him All ye little children
00:07 God is love, God is love 00:12 Praise Him, praise Him All ye little children 00:16 God is love, God is love 00:24 Hi, boys and girls, did you know 00:26 that people all over the world celebrate holidays? 00:30 Now they don't all celebrate the same holidays. 00:33 But nearly every country, 00:35 people celebrate the fact that Jesus was born as a baby. 00:38 Just like you and me to grow up and save us from our sins. 00:42 Now, have you ever wondered what that means? 00:45 Why did one special baby 00:47 have to be born to save us from our sins? 00:49 Well, I think about it like this. 00:52 Have you ever done something 00:54 you knew you shouldn't have done 00:55 and you felt really sad and guilty about it afterward. 00:59 But you knew there wasn't anything you could do to fix 01:02 what you had done. 01:03 I know I have. 01:05 And then I found out that Jesus took the punishment 01:07 for all the bad things 01:09 I've ever done in my whole life. 01:12 Now, that's good news. 01:14 I don't have to feel guilty anymore. 01:16 And He was able to do that for me 01:18 because He is the Son of God. 01:21 That's what made Jesus such a special baby. 01:24 And what a great reason to celebrate, don't you think? 01:28 That's what we're going to do today, boys and girls, 01:30 celebrate Jesus and His birth with these very special songs. 01:35 Feel free to sing along as we celebrate together. 03:21 What kind of bed did you sleep in when you were baby? 03:24 Was it a cradle or a crib? 03:26 With a nice soft sheets and cuddly blankets 03:29 to keep you warm. 03:31 Jesus had a bed when He was a baby too. 03:33 But it wasn't a cradle or a crib. 03:36 Our next song tells us what kind of bed Jesus had. 03:39 Listen as Tabitha sings "Away in a Manager". 03:52 Away in a manager 03:56 No crib for a bed 04:01 The little Lord Jesus Lay down his sweet head 04:09 The stars in the bright sky 04:13 Look down where he lay 04:17 The little Lord Jesus Asleep on the hay 04:29 Have you ever had a bad day? 04:30 I know I have. 04:32 In fact, I've days 04:33 where it seemed nothing went right. 04:35 I was even tempted to think 04:37 that life was all out of control, 04:39 but I was forgetting something. 04:41 God is always in control 04:43 and He makes good come from everything 04:45 that happens to us here on earth. 04:47 Best of all, even on bad days 04:49 there is good news to celebrate. 04:52 Jesus was born and He grew up and died to save us. 04:55 And some day we're going to live with Him in heaven 04:57 where there will be no more bad days ever. 05:01 Zachary is going to sing about that good news. 05:04 Listen as he sings 05:05 "Now is born the divine Christ child". 05:15 Now is born the divine Christ child 05:19 Play the musette, play the tuneful oboe 05:23 Now is born the divine Christ child 05:27 Sing we all and rejoice this day 05:32 He was born in a stable bare 05:36 Bed of straw how He sleeps so soundly 05:40 He was born in a stable bare 05:45 Let us worship and to Him bow 05:50 Now is born the divine Christ child 05:53 Play the musette, play the tuneful oboe 05:58 Now is born the divine Christ child 06:02 Sing we all and rejoice this day 06:07 Ages long since are past and gone 06:11 When the wise men foretold His coming 06:15 Ages long since are past and gone 06:20 When the wise men foretold His birth 06:25 Now is born the divine Christ child 06:29 Play the musette, play the tuneful oboe 06:34 Now is born the divine Christ child 06:38 Sing we all 06:40 And rejoice this day 06:46 There is one holiday song 06:48 that used to always make me wonder. 06:50 It was called "It came upon the midnight clear." 06:53 That's kind of strange name for a song, don't you think? 06:56 But now that I'm older, 06:58 I understand that it's talking about something very special 07:00 that happened on a clear night long ago. 07:03 A baby was born, and angel sing and well, you get the picture. 07:08 Mirielle and Millicent are going to share that song 07:11 with us right now. 07:21 It came upon the midnight clear 07:27 That glorious song of old 07:34 From angels bending near the earth 07:41 To touch their harps of gold 07:47 Peace on the earth, goodwill to men 07:54 From heavens all gracious King 08:00 The world is solemn stillness lay 08:07 To hear the angels sing 08:17 Do you remember the story about 08:18 how the disciples try to keep children 08:20 away from Jesus? 08:21 But Jesus told them, "Let them come to me, 08:24 for such is the kingdom of heaven." 08:26 And Jesus always had time for children. 08:28 Not only did He talk to them, 08:30 but He also listened to what they had to say. 08:33 And I imagine some of them even played and sing for Him. 08:37 Listen with me as Elizabeth sings 08:38 about a little boy playing his drum for Jesus. 08:46 Come they told me Pa rum pum pum pum 08:54 A new born King to see 08:57 Pa rum pum pum pum 09:02 Our finest gifts we bring 09:05 Pa rum pum pum pum 09:09 To lay before the King 09:12 Pa rum pum pum pum 09:14 Rum pum pum pum Rum pum pum pum 09:20 So to honor Him Pa rum pum pum pum 09:27 When we come Little Baby 09:35 Pa rum pum pum pum 09:39 I am a poor boy too Pa rum pum pum pum 09:47 I have no gifts to bring Pa rum pum pum pum 09:54 That's fit to give the King Pa rum pum pum pum 10:01 Pa rum pum pum pum 10:04 Shall I play for you Pa rum pum pum pum 10:12 On my drum 10:16 Mary nodded Pa rum pum pum pum 10:24 The ox and lamb kept time Pa rum pum pum pum 10:31 I played my drum for Him Pa rum pum pum pum 10:38 I played my best for Him Pa rum pum pum pum 10:43 Rum pum pum pum Rum pum pum pum 10:49 Then He smiled at me Pa rum pum pum pum 10:56 Me and my drum 11:05 There are some words that just sound like happy words. 11:08 And one of those words is the word merry. 11:11 Hearing that word just makes me feel like smiling. 11:14 And I'm hoping this song will make you smile, 11:16 because it's about some merry gentlemen 11:18 finding out the good news of Jesus' birth. 11:21 Listen now as Geoffrey plays "God rest ye Merry Gentlemen" 11:24 on his trumpet. 12:47 The Bible talks a lot about being faithful. 12:50 Have you ever wondered what being faithful is? 12:53 I think, it means being loyal and true. 12:55 In our next song Danielle invites all of those 12:58 who are faithful to come to Bethlehem 13:00 and see baby Jesus, the Messiah. 13:03 Boys and girls, only the faithful ones 13:05 went looking for Jesus to worship and praise Him. 13:08 As Danielle sings 13:09 "I'm praying that you too will stay faithful". 13:19 O come, all ye faithful 13:25 Joyful and triumphant 13:29 O come ye, O come ye 13:35 To Bethlehem 13:41 Come and behold Him 13:46 Born the King of Angels 13:50 O come, let us adore Him 13:56 O come, let us adore Him 14:01 O come, Let us adore Him 14:08 Christ the Lord 14:13 O come, let us adore Him 14:20 Christ the Lord 14:28 I've heard a lot of beautiful choir 14:30 sing in my lifetime. 14:32 And I especially love the way 14:34 that all those harmonies just flow together. 14:37 It reminds me of a story I once heard about a family, 14:39 who is going through some hard times. 14:41 They went outside one day 14:42 and heard a beautiful choir singing in the woods nearby. 14:46 It gave them a lot of comfort and courage. 14:48 To this day, they are sure it was an angel choir. 14:52 Our next song is about an angel choir 14:54 some shepherds heard long ago. 14:56 Here's Javier singing "Hark the Herald Angels Sing" 15:00 and if you listen closely, 15:01 you just might hear the angel singing with him. 15:16 Hark the herald angels sing 15:20 Glory to the newborn King 15:24 Peace on earth, and mercy mild 15:29 God and sinners reconciled 15:33 Joyful all ye nations rise 15:37 Join the triumph of the skies 15:41 With angelic host proclaim 15:45 Christ is born in Bethlehem 15:50 Hark the herald angels sing 15:54 Glory to the newborn King 15:58 Glory to the newborn King 16:08 Have you ever had one of those days 16:10 when you had so many favorite songs 16:12 running through your head 16:13 that you just felt like singing all of them at the same time? 16:16 That happen sometimes, doesn't it? 16:18 And when it does, all you have to do is 16:20 put them all together and sing a medley. 16:22 That's right, a medley. 16:24 Emily is going to play a medley on her violin 16:27 of some of her favorite songs about Jesus' birth. 16:30 See if you can name each song as she plays. 19:50 Have you ever heard of parents 19:51 who just couldn't agree on what to know name their baby? 19:54 Sometime they even waited several days or weeks 19:57 to come up with a name. 19:58 But it wasn't like that with Jesus. 20:01 His name was chosen long before He was born. 20:04 In fact, He was given many wonderful names. 20:06 Some of them hundreds of years before His birth. 20:09 Now that's one special baby. 20:11 Listen with me as the Cadet Sisters sing 20:13 "He shall be Called". 20:26 He shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, 20:33 Almighty God 20:35 He shall be called Everlasting Father, 20:41 Prince of peace 20:47 He shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, 20:54 Almighty God He shall be called Everlasting Father, 21:02 Prince of peace 21:06 His name is Jesus 21:11 For He saves His people from sin 21:16 His name is Emmanuel 21:21 God with man 21:25 His name is Jesus 21:30 For He saves His people from sin 21:35 His name is Emmanuel 21:40 God with man 21:44 His name is Emmanuel 21:51 God with man 21:59 I have a feeling you get pretty excited 22:01 when you have a birthday. 22:03 I know I always did when I was a kid. 22:05 I have to admit though, 22:06 that birthdays aren't quite as exciting as they used be 22:09 because I'm getting older 22:11 and I'm starting to feel my age a little. 22:13 But some day in heaven, 22:15 I'll celebrate an eternity of birthdays 22:17 and I'll never get old, or sick, or weak. 22:20 The most important birthday of all that we'll celebrate 22:23 is the birthday of Jesus our King. 22:26 Let's listen to as Lester plays "Birthday of a King" 22:29 on a saxophone. 24:51 I hope you enjoyed all the beautiful music 24:53 that we heard today as much as I have. 24:56 Each song was a special message 24:58 of love and thankfulness to Jesus. 25:01 Boys and girls, 25:02 I want to encourage you to take time today 25:04 to think about what Jesus has done for you. 25:06 And then tell Him thank you. 25:09 You can talk to Him, or sing to Him, 25:11 or even play for Him. 25:13 You can write a song for Jesus 25:15 and let Him know what's going on in your heart. 25:18 Just let Jesus know today 25:20 that He means as much to you as you do to Him. 25:23 Well, that's all the time we have today. 25:25 Until next time, 25:27 remember it's Kid's Time to Praise Jesus. |
