00:01 It's almost time for Kids' Time.
00:02 We're going to be late.
00:03 It's time to share There is a world out there
00:08 Looking for a friend like Jesus
00:11 It's time to share There is a world out there
00:16 Let's tell them that He loves us so
00:20 Let's tell them that He loves us so
00:24 Kids' time, Kids' time Kids' time, Kids' time
00:28 Kids' time
00:31 Hi, boys and girls, do you like to read stories?
00:34 I sure do.
00:36 Sometimes the story is so interesting
00:38 that I can't wait to find out what happens.
00:40 So I peek ahead and I read the ending
00:43 just to see if everything turns out okay.
00:46 Well, the Bible is full of stories
00:48 where God told people how their stories would end,
00:51 long before they actually ended.
00:53 But the people didn't always believe Him.
00:55 They didn't trust God
00:56 when He said things would turn out okay.
00:59 Of course, today, we can read those stories
01:01 and we know that things turned out
01:03 just the way God said they would.
01:05 Best of all, the Bible tells us
01:07 how our story is going to end some day.
01:09 And if we give our hearts to Jesus,
01:11 it will be a very happy ending.
01:14 After all, you can always trust God
01:17 to do exactly what He says He'll do.
01:20 I'm really happy about that, aren't you?
01:22 Do you know what else I'm happy about?
01:24 That's right. It's time for Nature Time.
01:37 Oh. Hi, kids, it's me, Rich Aguilera.
01:40 And I'm glad you're here.
01:41 As usual I'm looking around and taking pictures
01:44 of some of the amazing nature out there.
01:47 It's everywhere.
01:48 Anyway, I'm so happy that you're with me here today,
01:51 'cause today we're gonna learn about dunes.
01:55 What are we gonna learn about? Dunes.
01:58 That's right, dunes. Come on.
02:06 So you're probably wondering, what is a dune?
02:10 It's giant pile of sand.
02:13 Well, how did it get there?
02:15 Well, the biggest factor in forming a sand dune is wind.
02:20 What is the biggest factor? Wind.
02:22 That's right. Wind.
02:25 With this much wind,
02:28 anything would get flown around...
02:35 especially something tiny like sand.
02:39 Sand grains come in different sizes.
02:42 The small grain will get carried through the wind,
02:45 but the larger grain
02:46 will actually bounce along the surface.
02:48 Poing, poing, poing.
02:50 Which kind of grain will bounce along the surface?
02:53 Larger ones.
02:55 That's right, the larger ones.
02:57 I'm gonna take a close-up picture of the sand.
03:08 You know, if you want to get
03:09 a really good look at the dunes,
03:11 we got to get out into the middle.
03:15 The best way to do that is on one of these.
03:17 Come on, guys.
03:46 As the sand blows around, the dunes form two slopes.
03:51 As the sand blows this way, it forms the windward face,
03:56 the flatter slope.
03:57 The backside of the dune, the steep side is called
04:00 the leeward side of the dune.
04:03 What's it called? Leeward.
04:06 That's right, the leeward side of the dune.
04:10 Hey, I'm gonna take a picture.
04:12 The windward side and the steep leeward side.
04:19 Maybe I'll run down the leeward side.
04:24 Aah!
04:27 Sand dunes aren't found everywhere.
04:30 But sandy beaches like this
04:31 are very common around the world.
04:34 I'm gonna take another picture.
04:36 Walking on the beach reminds me of a story I once heard.
04:40 I want to tell it to you.
04:43 This person writes, "One night I had a dream
04:47 that I was walking on the beach with God.
04:49 As we walked, we talked about
04:52 the different moments of my life.
04:54 That's when I looked back and noticed
04:57 that there was two sets of footprints, mine and God's.
05:01 I noticed that during the hardest time of my life,
05:04 there was only one set of footprints.
05:07 I got worried about this.
05:08 So I asked God, 'Lord, I thought you said
05:11 that if I follow you, you would be with me always.
05:14 But I noticed that during the hardest times of my life,
05:17 there was only one set of footprints.
05:19 Lord, why would you leave me during the times
05:22 that I needed you the most?
05:24 In my dream, God replied, 'My precious child,
05:29 I would never leave you.
05:31 During those hard times, when you only saw
05:35 one pair of footprints, I was carrying you.'"
05:43 Kids, if you ask God to be number one in your life,
05:48 He will never leave you.
05:51 I hope you remember that story every time you go to the beach.
05:56 There are so many incredible places in the world,
06:01 another reminder of the amazing things
06:03 that God has made.
06:05 And, of course, all the pictures we take
06:07 help us remember all the cool nature we saw.
06:11 Do you want to see all the pictures I took?
06:13 You can.
06:14 Just go to our website KidsTime4Jesus.org
06:18 and click on Nature Time.
06:20 Well, I really had a lot of fun
06:22 checking out these sand dunes with you.
06:24 Remember, God is the creator. Nature is His masterpiece.
06:28 See you.
06:46 I wonder how it felt
06:47 to wake up in the belly of a whale
06:53 I wonder how it felt
06:55 to spend the night with Silas in the jail
07:01 I am just a child, my life is still before me
07:04 I just can't wait to see what God has for me
07:08 But I know I will trust Him
07:10 And I wait to see what life will be for me
07:16 I wonder how it felt to meet big Goliath in the field
07:23 I wonder how it felt
07:25 to know the mouths of lions have been sealed
07:31 I am just a child, my life is still before me
07:35 I just can't wait to see what God has for me
07:39 But I know I will trust Him
07:41 And I wait to see what life will be for me
07:47 I wonder how it felt
07:48 to spend the night with Noah in the zoo
07:54 I wonder how it felt
07:56 to sleep beside a smelly kangaroo
08:02 I am just a child, my life is still before me
08:06 I just can't wait to see what God has for me
08:09 But I know I will trust Him
08:11 And I wait to see what life will be for me
08:17 I am just a child, my life is still before me
08:21 I just can't wait to see what God has for me
08:25 But I know I will trust Him
08:27 And I wait to see what life will for me
08:40 Hi, kids, welcome to Learning Time.
08:42 Welcome to Learning Time.
08:43 Glad you joined us today.
08:44 Hey, we got a great lesson. But you know what?
08:46 I've got some helpers
08:48 and let's find out who they are.
08:49 So tell me your name and where are you from.
08:51 My name is Jovi and I'm from West Frankfort.
08:54 Well, I'm glad you're here to help us, Jovi.
08:56 And you are?
08:57 My name is Kendra and I'm from Nashville, Tennessee.
08:59 Well, I'm glad you're here, too, Kendra.
09:01 And you are?
09:02 My name is Elise and I'm from Battle Creek, Michigan.
09:04 I'm glad you're here, Elise.
09:06 Now today, we've got this lesson and it's a fun lesson.
09:08 It's all about blowing bubbles and it's called bubbleology.
09:12 Isn't that a fun word? Yes.
09:14 Okay, well, you know what?
09:15 We got to put on our safety glasses.
09:17 And I'm going to put my glasses on
09:18 because we don't want to get bubble mix in our eyes.
09:21 Right? Right.
09:22 Kids, you ever had soap in your eyes?
09:24 Yes. No.
09:25 Not a fun thing.
09:26 So, you know, but before we blow bubbles,
09:28 we want-- This is a very special recipe.
09:31 We're gonna show you, it's a secret recipe
09:33 about blowing bubbles.
09:34 First of all, what do we need? Some dish washing what?
09:37 Soap. Soap.
09:38 And you can use any color, any kind.
09:40 And this is the secret ingredient right there.
09:42 What is that called?
09:43 Glycerin. Glycerin.
09:45 Glycerin is the secret ingredient
09:46 because it makes those bubbles last and last and last.
09:49 And that's what we want.
09:50 We want strong bubbles, right?
09:51 Right. All right.
09:53 Okay, so this is what we got, we got bubble mix right here.
09:55 So I want you to pour the bubble mix
09:57 right into your bowl just like that.
09:59 Now what I'm going to do is I'm going to blow one bubble,
10:01 just one bubble.
10:02 So I'm going to put this little pipette in here.
10:04 And then we're going to blow a bubble.
10:07 There is-- Oh, and there is my bubble
10:09 But you know what? It popped, didn't it?
10:11 But that was just one bubble.
10:12 Now if you want to blow a bunch of bubbles,
10:14 we're talking about hundreds and hundreds of bubbles,
10:17 this is what you do.
10:19 You take a little bottle like this,
10:20 a little plastic bottle.
10:21 Cut the end off of it.
10:23 And then you put a rubber band
10:24 and you rubber band a little piece of cloth
10:26 like a face cloth or a disc cloth.
10:29 And then you dip it. Go ahead and do this.
10:31 We're going to dip it down inside of there,
10:33 just like that.
10:34 Here we go.
10:35 Get it all wet and then blow inside
10:37 and we're going to make
10:38 hundreds and thousands of bubbles.
10:41 And look at how they work.
10:44 Cool. Cool.
10:46 Isn't that cool? Yes.
10:48 Now-- Now why do bubbles do that?
10:51 Bubbles do that because, you know,
10:52 they're made out of water and soap, aren't they?
10:56 I forgot to tell you you're supposed to put water
10:58 in with that dish washing liquid as well.
11:00 So it makes water and bubbles and glycerin.
11:03 And you know what?
11:04 Water-- Look at mine, it's standing up.
11:06 Look at his, it's standing up.
11:08 And they're very strong structures.
11:10 Well, water likes to stick to itself.
11:13 And that's called cohesion.
11:15 And water likes to stick to other things
11:18 and that's like the bottle
11:19 and that's like this piece of cloth.
11:21 But you know what?
11:22 Are those bubbles, are they floating up in the air
11:25 and going up?
11:26 No. No, they are not.
11:28 But, hey, you know what?
11:29 I'm going to make a very special kind of bubble.
11:33 And I'm going to make a bubble or some bubbles that float.
11:35 And they're going to be very light.
11:37 And then we're going to blow them up.
11:38 What do you think?
11:40 I think you better get back
11:41 because this is going to be fun.
11:42 Okay, I'm going to get my friend.
11:44 Let's get Angel up here.
11:45 Angel Rivera, he's going to help me
11:47 with this right here.
11:48 And so I'm going to take and we're going to put
11:50 the secret ingredient.
11:51 We're going to put some hydrogen
11:53 and we're going to make some hydrogen bubbles.
11:55 Now hydrogen is a very, very powerful
11:57 and a very, very light gas.
11:59 And so I'm gonna fill up my balloon right here.
12:01 Ah... whoa!
12:04 Man, there we go.
12:05 We got a big-- a big balloon full of hydrogen gas.
12:09 Now this is cool.
12:10 And Max is just leaving the stage.
12:12 Did you see that?
12:13 Yeah, Max doesn't want to be around
12:16 because we're gonna have
12:17 a water bubble fiery fun right here.
12:20 And these bubbles are going to be extremely light
12:22 and they're gonna float in the air
12:24 and Angel is gonna light them on fire.
12:26 Are you ready, Angel? I'm ready.
12:28 Okay, here we go.
12:29 Let's blow some bubbles
12:30 and see if they're gonna float up in the air.
12:32 Whoa! Whoa.
12:34 And they do, don't they? Isn't that interesting?
12:36 Wow. Wow.
12:37 Did you see that? That's amazing, isn't it?
12:41 You know, those bubble-- And you can come back,
12:43 come on back right here.
12:44 Check this out. These bubbles are interesting.
12:47 You know, one bubble by itself is fun, isn't it?
12:49 Yes.
12:50 We get a hundred and thousands of bubbles together,
12:53 like we have these bubbles right here,
12:54 they're a whole lot more fun, aren't they?
12:56 Yes. I think so.
12:57 But you know what?
12:58 You and I, you know, sometimes
13:00 we feel like we're all alone.
13:01 We're just like that one little bubble.
13:03 But, you know, when we get together with other friends
13:06 and other Christians especially,
13:08 you know what, we can have a tremendous amount of fun.
13:11 And you know what, we can make things better for people
13:14 if we just get together.
13:16 But getting together builds unity
13:18 and it builds strength.
13:20 Don't you want to be strong? Yes.
13:23 And we can be strong when we join together
13:24 and we can do things
13:25 that one person can't do alone by themselves.
13:28 Isn't that cool?
13:29 You know, that's what God wants us to do.
13:31 He wants us to be in unity with others
13:34 and then we can do
13:36 wonderful things together for Him.
13:39 Wow, I like that.
13:40 You know, when we study science,
13:43 we're learning more about our creator, God.
13:54 Aaron? Moses, is that you?
13:59 My brother Aaron.
14:00 Oh, 40 years, it's so good to see you.
14:04 Lifetime.
14:06 How did you don't come?
14:09 God told me, He told me you would be here.
14:13 I couldn't believe it and I came.
14:15 It's so good to see you. Why are you here?
14:18 God revealed Himself to me in a bush.
14:21 Yes?
14:22 It was a bush, a bush that burned,
14:24 but it was not consumed.
14:26 Not consumed?
14:27 Aaron, he's heard of the afflictions,
14:29 He knows of the afflictions of His people.
14:31 He knows. He knows, He's seen.
14:36 And He's called you and I,
14:37 but He will do the delivery from Pharaoh.
14:40 You and I? Yes, Aaron.
14:43 To deliver the people? Yes, He will do this.
14:47 That's what He said to me, but I-I couldn't believe it.
14:49 I called all the elders of the people.
14:52 They're meeting tonight to hear you speak.
14:54 Come quickly. Okay.
14:57 Our sister Miriam? Miriam, how is she?
15:01 She's so excited to see you.
15:07 Elders of Israel. Yes. Yes.
15:10 Remember I told you I had a dream?
15:11 Yes.
15:12 That God would send a deliverer?
15:13 Yes. Yes. A deliverer.
15:16 Today, God sent the deliverer.
15:18 Today? Deliverer?
15:19 I met him the wilderness. It is my brother, Moses.
15:23 Moses? It is as Aaron has said.
15:26 God has spoken, God has spoken.
15:28 My whole life I've waited for this moment.
15:29 Go ahead, tell them. Is this true?
15:31 Praise God. Yes, it is true.
15:34 Now tomorrow, we will stand before Pharaoh.
15:37 Tomorrow?
15:39 And we will demand that he let the Hebrews go.
15:41 Yes. Yes.
15:43 You must go tonight and tell all the children,
15:47 all the Israelites, tell them to pray for us.
15:52 For how can we stand before Pharaoh
15:53 without the power of God?
15:55 Yes, yes.
15:56 Let's pray now. Yes.
15:57 Come. Come.
16:00 Oh, great and might Jehovah, please come upon us.
16:07 May Moses and me,
16:10 may we stand before him in your power.
16:13 Thank you God for giving us a deliverer.
16:17 We praise you and we thank you.
16:20 Amen and amen. Yes, yes.
16:29 Oh, Prime Minister, your report on kingdom production.
16:32 Oh, great Pharaoh,
16:34 the productivity is high all over the kingdom,
16:37 except for those Hebrew slaves.
16:41 They are refusing to work one day a week
16:44 and the productivity, it's plummeting.
16:47 Do you know of this? Yes, Father.
16:49 And we need to do something.
16:50 Do something we shall, we must keep production going.
16:53 Yes, we must.
16:54 We must keep it flowing, work them harder.
16:58 What is it? Speak.
16:59 Oh, great Pharaoh, live forever.
17:01 Ambassadors of the King of Kings to see you.
17:04 Ambassadors?
17:05 I know who you are, who is this King of Kings?
17:08 He is Jehovah, the Most High and He commands you, Pharaoh,
17:13 to let His people go
17:15 and to worship in the wilderness.
17:17 Who is Jehovah that I should listen to His words,
17:21 that I should let His people go?
17:24 They are slaves.
17:26 I, no, not Jehovah, they are mine.
17:32 I will not let His people go.
17:36 Oh, Pharaoh, you must let them go.
17:39 God has called them into the wilderness
17:41 to worship for three days.
17:43 Lest He fall upon them
17:44 and you lose all their productivity.
17:46 Who are you, Moses and Aaron,
17:48 to hinder the people from their work?
17:49 Back to your burdens, both of you!
17:52 All that you have cost the kingdom
17:58 Behold, the people of the land, are they not many?
18:01 And you and you,
18:03 you would give them rest from their burdens.
18:07 Well, since they have time to rest,
18:11 let them make their own straw.
18:13 In fact, demand they do more work
18:17 than even humanly possible.
18:18 I am Pharaoh of all of Egypt!
18:23 Not even your God can tell me what to do.
18:26 Guards, remove these Hebrews from my sight!
18:32 Go!
18:34 Move!
18:35 Prime Minister, carry out my orders now.
18:38 Yes, I will immediately.
18:50 Please, please, people, people.
18:53 Shh, quiet, quiet, quiet, quiet.
18:58 Listen to the word of the Lord.
19:00 God has a message for us.
19:02 Moses. There will be plagues.
19:05 On whom? On us?
19:07 No, on Pharaoh and the Egyptians, not on us.
19:10 Aaron and I will go back again to Pharaoh.
19:14 Again we will go.
19:16 And we will demand that he allow us
19:18 to worship in the wilderness.
19:19 If he does not, God's judgment will fall
19:23 on the house of Pharaoh and all the land of Egypt.
19:27 Listen, people, listen, people,
19:28 we don't know how long this will take.
19:31 It could take a week, a month, a year,
19:33 but Pharaoh will eventually listen to the word of the Lord.
19:39 The plagues will convince him.
19:42 Now we have to have faith.
19:43 Will you have faith? Yes, yes.
19:45 We will have faith. Then let's pray.
19:47 Let's pray. Let's pray.
19:50 Oh, God, give us freedom from Pharaoh.
19:54 You promised, oh, God, you promised,
19:57 your deliverance through Moses.
20:01 Keep Moses strong and keep us faithful.
20:06 Yes, yes. Bring your deliverance, amen.
20:19 It's time for Miss Brenda's Book of the Day.

21:38 Well, boys and girls, I'm really excited today.
21:40 I have someone with me
21:41 all the way from Washington State,
21:45 his name is Seth.
21:46 Hi, Seth.
21:47 Thank you for joining me on Kids' Time.
21:49 Do you love Jesus?
21:51 Yes. Yes, you do.
21:53 And recently you were involved in a kind of a big event,
21:57 weren't you, on trying to witness for Jesus.
21:59 What was that? The kid's art maker fair.
22:03 Maker fair?
22:05 Now, boys and girls, you might be wondering
22:06 what is a maker fair.
22:08 And I like-- You're saying maker,
22:11 like Jesus is our maker, right?
22:13 Our creator and our maker. And you had a maker fair.
22:16 And why did you do that?
22:18 Just to bring people--
22:21 to just make friends with people.
22:23 That's right.
22:24 Do you know it's important when we're witnessing,
22:27 boys and girls, that we really love people to Jesus.
22:31 And I know at Seth's church, they wanted to invite
22:34 all the community to church, so they could get to know them.
22:37 And what better way to do it?
22:39 They had a big huge craft fair,
22:41 where everybody can make something
22:43 and bring it to the fair.
22:44 And they invited lots of people to come, didn't they?
22:47 In fact, do you know how many people came?
22:49 About 1,000. About a 1,000 people.
22:52 Even the mayor of your town came, didn't he?
22:55 It was a pretty big event.
22:56 And they had all these different booths around
22:59 and they invited people to come and they could talk to them
23:01 and to get to know them.
23:03 And you were involved in a booth.
23:06 What was the name of the booth that you were involved in?
23:09 Spool racer booth. Spool racers.
23:12 And basically what do you need to make a spool racer?
23:15 And you make these old cars, like that race out of spools.
23:19 And basically what do you need for spool racing?
23:23 Just an empty spool of thread.
23:26 Like a thread, a spool of thread
23:28 and when the thread comes off,
23:29 you have a wooden spool and then you have what--
23:31 what else?
23:33 And a rubber band and a pencil.
23:35 A rubber band and pencil
23:36 and that's just all you need for a spool racing.
23:38 And they can race pretty good, can't they?
23:40 I understand that you had a lot of fun
23:42 helping the different people that came to your booth,
23:44 learning how to make their own, right?
23:46 Yeah.
23:47 Well, Seth, I'm so glad that you came and joined us today
23:49 and I think I'm going to have you stay and help me read
23:51 just a few more letters, will you?
23:53 And I want to encourage is that they keep on sharing Jesus.
23:56 Boys and girls, there's so many things that you can do.
23:59 And I think what Seth and his church did,
24:02 to open it up to the community, invite them into the church,
24:04 that is called friendship evangelism.
24:07 And it's one of the best ways that you can witness for Jesus
24:10 because we want to love people to Jesus.
24:12 We don't want to preach them, you know, and hammer them
24:16 with a hammer and tell them all the things they're doing wrong.
24:18 That's not the way to love people to Jesus, is it?
24:21 And so I think what your church did was wonderful.
24:24 Can you hold this picture up for me?
24:26 This letter is all the way from Tanzania in Africa.
24:30 And let's see who it's from here.
24:33 The letter says, "Dear Miss Brenda,
24:35 my name is Modesta and I'm from Tanzania.
24:38 I'm 14 years old and I enjoy your programs very much.
24:41 My favorite is Praise Time. And I enjoy that so much.
24:45 I share Jesus by telling my friends not to fight
24:48 and how much Jesus loves them.
24:51 I completed my grade seven this year.
24:53 Would you please pray for me that I will pass my exams?
24:56 And I'd love to join kids' club.
24:58 Don't forget to write back. From Modesta."
25:01 Well, Modesta, we will get those kids' club lessons
25:04 to you right away.
25:05 And I'm glad that you are witnessing to your friends
25:07 by encouraging them not to fight with each other.
25:10 Seth, it's never good to fight with each other, is it?
25:12 No.
25:13 And so we want to-- It's all about loving people to Jesus.
25:15 Thank you for holding that up for me.
25:17 We have a email here.
25:19 I love your emails, keep writing, boys and girls,
25:21 I love your emails, I love your letters
25:23 and also those pictures you send.
25:25 This says, "Dear Miss Brenda, my name is Daniel
25:27 and I'm 11 years old.
25:29 I pray for my friend's mom who isn't a Christian.
25:32 My other friend's dad has cows and one cow got eye cancer,
25:35 which is incurable.
25:37 We all prayed for a couple weeks
25:38 and now the cow is healed,
25:40 which is a miracle because eye cancer is incurable.
25:43 Isn't God good?
25:45 Good-bye from Canada, God bless."
25:47 And it says, "Love, Daniel." Daniel, that is a miracle.
25:50 And don't forget to thank Jesus.
25:52 When we pray and God answers our prayers,
25:54 He always wants us to say thank you and to praise Him.
25:57 Isn't that right, Seth?
25:58 I think we have time for just one more letter.
26:01 This one-- Ooh, I love it, it's got a picture.
26:04 Will you hold this for me, Seth, please?
26:05 I love your pictures, boys and girls.
26:07 This one is from Casper.
26:10 It says, "Dear Miss Brenda, my name is Casper
26:12 and I'm 12 years old.
26:13 I play the violin and I love watching Kids' Time
26:16 with my little sister.
26:18 She loves singing.
26:19 It said you visited our church in New Zealand,
26:22 in Hamilton church and that's where I met you.
26:25 I'm glad I got to meet you.
26:26 I love Kids' Time. From Casper."
26:29 Well, thank you so much, Casper.
26:31 Keep watching.
26:32 And I want to thank you, Seth, for joining us today.
26:34 Remember, kids, it's kids' time to share Jesus.
27:16 Kids' time Kids' time, Kids' time Kids' time,
27:20 Kids' time Kids' time, Kids' time.
