00:03 We're gonna be late.
00:04 It's time to share There is world out there
00:08 Looking for a friend like Jesus
00:11 It's time to share There is a world out there
00:16 Let's tell them that He loves us so
00:20 Let's tell them that He loves us so
00:24 Kids' Time, Kids' Time
00:26 Kids' Time, Kids' Time Kids' Time
00:31 Hi, boys and girls.
00:32 Have you noticed, lately of the scary things
00:35 going on in the world?
00:36 Are there times when you wish you could just fix it off?
00:39 I know I do.
00:41 Of course, we can't fix everything, can we?
00:43 That will only happen when Jesus comes again.
00:47 But we can fix some things.
00:49 Did you know that every time you're faithful to God
00:52 you're fixing something?
00:54 That's right.
00:55 When you trust Jesus and show His love to others
00:58 you're helping to make the world a better place.
01:01 Now it's not always easy,
01:02 sometimes it means doing the exact opposite
01:06 of what you feel like doing.
01:07 But it's always worth it in the end.
01:10 When you follow Jesus, you make things better
01:12 for everyone around you.
01:15 I'm praying for you boys and girls,
01:17 to follow Jesus today and everyday.
01:21 All right now, it's time for Nature Time.
01:30 Hey, kids, it's me Rich Aguilera.
01:32 And I'm so happy to see you.
01:34 As usual, I'm taking some pictures of
01:36 some of the amazing things that God has made,
01:39 it's everywhere.
01:42 I'm glad you're with me today
01:44 because today we're gonna explore
01:45 a temperate rainforest, come on.
01:49 You're probably wondering what is a temperate rainforest?
01:52 Fear not, I will show you come on.
02:00 Well, rainforest, I mean listen to the name,
02:02 the name kind of says it all by itself, doesn't it?
02:05 What do you think it means?
02:07 A Rainforest.
02:09 Yeah, it's a forest and it rains a lot
02:12 and I mean a lot.
02:15 And temperate means that the temperature in here
02:18 stays pretty cool.
02:20 It doesn't get very hot in here,
02:22 that would be a tropical rainforest.
02:24 This is a temperate rainforest
02:26 that means it stays cool.
02:29 So what's so special about a temperate rainforest?
02:32 There is a ton of living stuff in here.
02:34 Come on let's go check it out.
02:45 Obviously, in a rainforest there are lots of trees.
03:05 One thing that helps keep things cool and moisture
03:08 is the tree canopy.
03:11 If we look up, we are completely shaded
03:14 this is called a tree canopy.
03:17 What it's called?
03:18 A tree canopy.
03:19 That's right.
03:20 A tree canopy, I'm gonna take a picture.
03:28 You know, it's hard to appreciate,
03:29 the canopy from way down here.
03:32 I've got an idea, come on.
03:36 Now, this is a great way to appreciate the canopy
03:40 from above.
03:42 Look at all those trees down there.
03:48 That was fun.
03:50 Remember, kids,
03:51 nature is there for you to enjoy.
03:53 Go and enjoy it.
03:57 Beside these big old trees, here on the forest floor
04:00 there are also lots of plants.
04:02 Especially ferns and mosses, come on.
04:08 Mosses are pretty cool.
04:09 It's like the entire woods is carpeted.
04:11 Let's take a picture.
04:17 It's a little soft, a little fuzzy,
04:20 and a little squishy.
04:24 You know how trees have roots?
04:26 You can tell that this tree has huge roots.
04:30 Mosses are quite unusual
04:31 because they don't quite have roots.
04:34 They mainly just kind of grab onto things
04:36 like rocks and trees see, ah,
04:40 so if they don't have the roots.
04:41 Where do they get water?
04:43 I don't see any water fountains around here.
04:46 Don't panic, God has a plan because this is a rainforest,
04:50 there is water everywhere.
04:53 They get water from the rain, from the dew
04:56 and from all the wet surfaces in here.
04:59 By living in a wet shady place like this,
05:01 they can get it from pretty much anywhere.
05:04 Not only that,
05:05 they grow just about everywhere look around.
05:08 Look at this tree.
05:27 Do you guys remember the name of these carpets like plants?
05:31 Mosses.
05:32 That's right.
05:33 Mosses, you guys are learning the stuff.
05:35 Good job.
05:38 Ferns are pretty cool too, these are ferns here.
05:41 Aren't they kind of cute?
05:43 What I know, is that ferns are pretty interesting
05:46 because they don't grow from seeds.
05:48 See, no fruits, no flowers, nothing.
05:52 Ferns grow from spores.
05:54 The underside of the ferns release these tiny spores
05:58 that float in the air, land somewhere
06:01 hence start growing there.
06:03 You know taking pictures is a great way to remember
06:07 all the stuff we have learned.
06:08 You want to see my pictures?
06:10 You can, just go to our website
06:12 at www.KidsTime4Jesus.org and click on Nature Time.
06:17 There is a lot of cool stuff to see there.
06:19 Well, I've had a ton of fun exploring with you, kids.
06:22 Remember God is the creator, nature is His masterpiece.
06:27 See you.
07:25 Hi, kids.
07:27 Welcome to Learning Time.
07:29 I'm glad you joined us today.
07:31 You know today we gonna talk about something
07:33 that really interesting and I think a lot of fun.
07:36 But you know first let me go ahead
07:38 and introduce our-- volunteer.
07:40 Can you tell us what your name is
07:43 and where are you from?
07:44 My name is Alia and I'm from Battle Creek, Michigan.
07:47 Alia, hey, thanks for coming and helping us today
07:50 because you know we need an assistant.
07:52 I didn't mean victim, okay.
07:53 But you know what, I have a nail right here,
07:56 let me ask you a question.
07:57 Have you ever stepped on a nail?
07:58 How many have you ever stepped on a nail?
08:00 Well, how about you?
08:01 Have you have stepped on a nail?
08:02 Yes.
08:04 Well, why did you do that? Why did you step on a nail?
08:06 Because it is an accident.
08:08 Oh, I hope it was accident
08:10 because we don't want to step on a nails
08:12 because nails will destroy us, right?
08:14 Yes.
08:15 Oh, absolutely, I stepped on it before
08:17 and I've been injured before.
08:19 But you know what we have today, Alia.
08:21 We have a very special bunch of nails
08:24 and we're gonna have you lie down on them, okay.
08:27 But I tell you what,
08:28 well are not gonna force you to do this,
08:29 so what I want to do is--
08:31 I want you to look at this demonstration,
08:33 okay, first then you can decide
08:36 and you might want to figure out,
08:38 if there would be a good idea for Alia to do this or not.
08:41 Now I have my good friend over here.
08:43 Now, now Angel Rivera he is a chef
08:46 and he brought from the kitchen an apple.
08:49 You all like Apples?
08:50 Yes. Okay.
08:52 Well, we're gonna demonstrate because we have a bed of nails,
08:55 I'm gonna behind you right here
08:56 and we're gonna get those nails to show up right here.
08:59 Because when we have right here,
09:01 we have 1,500 nails right there.
09:05 Are you ready to see them?
09:06 Yes.
09:07 How about a countdown?
09:08 Three, two, one. Three, two, one.
09:10 Let's see all of them.
09:11 Wow.
09:14 And there are 1,500 nails.
09:16 Okay, so what we want to do is,
09:17 we want to see,
09:18 if they're sharp enough to injure the apple.
09:22 Are you ready, Angel?
09:23 I'm ready.
09:24 All right, lets go and how about a countdown?
09:27 Three, two, one.
09:29 And...
09:30 Wow.
09:32 It went thud. Do you hear thud?
09:34 Yes.
09:35 Oh, and it just impale the apple.
09:38 Oh we better get down off of there
09:40 and you know what,
09:41 if Alia is gonna lie down,
09:43 well it's hard to get off, isn't it?
09:45 Made some holes in the apple,
09:47 yeah, you better clean that off.
09:48 You know when you make a mess, who cleans it off?
09:50 Mom. Mom.
09:52 Now you know if you make a mess,
09:54 you are to clean it.
09:55 So we're gonna clean up after ourselves.
09:57 So are you ready to lie down on this bed of nails?
10:00 Yeah.
10:02 Yeah, oh, well, I don't know.
10:03 Well, I tell you what, what I'm gonna do right here is,
10:06 I'm gonna have you move over just little bit over here.
10:09 We gonna make the nails disappear
10:11 because getting on and off nails
10:13 is not a fun and easy things.
10:15 So we gonna make the nails disappear
10:17 by pushing this up just like that.
10:19 Okay, now you can safely sit down right there
10:22 and your head goes over there in that nice soft pillow.
10:26 There you go,
10:27 stretch yourself out just like this, okay.
10:31 And let's move you down, just a little bit,
10:33 okay right, move back a little bit.
10:35 Watch your head right there, are you ready?
10:36 Yeah.
10:37 You think it's a good idea.
10:39 Do you think it's a good idea that she should do this?
10:41 Yes. No.
10:43 I think you'll be fine.
10:44 Okay, we have 1,500 nails right here
10:46 and how about three, two, one countdown.
10:48 Lets get them all showed up.
10:49 Three, two, one.
10:51 Oh, hang on, and there we go.
10:52 Wow.
10:54 Did you see that?
10:55 Hey how does that feel?
10:57 Is this comfortable?
10:58 Yeah.
10:59 It's not supposed to be comfortable.
11:01 But are the nails, going through your body
11:03 and sticking you?
11:04 No. No. No.
11:06 I wonder why not?
11:08 You know, I will tell you why not,
11:09 let me show you this nail again.
11:11 You know what, if Alia should have lay down
11:14 on this one nail,
11:15 it would go right into her body and injure her.
11:18 Not a good idea, right?
11:19 Right.
11:21 But how about 1,500 nails, was that safe for her?
11:23 Yes. Yes.
11:25 Well, look if we put her body weight
11:27 pressure on one little tiny point, it can hurt us.
11:30 That reminds us, that reminds me sometimes.
11:33 You know what we come around the trials and problems.
11:36 Do you ever have trials and problems in your life?
11:38 Have you? Have you?
11:39 Yes. Yes.
11:40 You know if we face the trail or problem by ourselves,
11:43 it can hurt us, it might destroy us.
11:45 But you know what God wants us to do, Alia?
11:48 God wants us to tell Him about our problems
11:51 and our trailers and our concerns
11:53 and you know what He does?
11:54 He supports us,
11:56 He sends his spirit to be with us.
11:58 He sends people into our lives,
12:00 so that they can help us.
12:02 So all of those nails
12:04 are helping to support your weight
12:07 and your not injured are you?
12:08 No.
12:10 No, hey when you come up to a problem,
12:11 I want you to trust in God and give Him your cares
12:14 and give Him your problems and He will support us,
12:17 He sends our parents, our teachers,
12:19 or our guardians and our friends
12:21 and the Holy Spirit to help us.
12:23 This is great. Thanks for helping us.
12:25 You know when we learn about science,
12:28 we will learn more about our creator God.
12:38 Scribe, record that I require a full account
12:42 of our tax collections in the Southern region.
12:45 As you wish, Pharaoh.
12:50 Oh great Pharaoh, live forever.
12:53 Moses, come closer.
12:55 I have wonderful news.
12:56 I desired to hear your report.
12:58 Your enemies are no more, your borders are secure.
13:02 Moses, you're a faithful warrior.
13:06 Your replication is unsurpassed in all the land.
13:10 Your character is as pure gold.
13:14 For 40 years, you have been trained
13:16 in the way of this kingdom.
13:18 You have eaten the finest foods,
13:21 you have been thought by the best of educators.
13:26 You have been trained in military supremacy.
13:32 All is not in vain for one day Moses
13:37 you'll sit where I sit.
13:39 You will hold the scepter of power.
13:43 You will wear the crown of the kingdom
13:46 and this shall be your country to rule.
13:50 You honor me.
13:53 But yet I'm perplexed by one thing,
13:58 this is real like slave labor workforce.
14:03 I believe it could be more efficient.
14:07 I believe we could get more work
14:10 from these people to built Egypt
14:12 to an even greater state.
14:14 Great Pharaoh, they, they work hard I hear
14:17 and they're very efficient on what they do.
14:20 Yes, but I believe you Moses,
14:23 can take them to a greater level
14:25 as we built this great kingdom
14:27 and that shall be your task.
14:32 But before you go,
14:34 I have prepared a gift for my sister.
14:38 Guard, bring me the gift.
14:44 Take this to the princess
14:47 as a token of my great appreciation
14:51 for what she has done for you and for me
14:55 and for the great kingdom of Egypt.
14:59 Thank you, great Pharaoh.
15:00 Now go in peace.
15:05 Scribe, record there on this day,
15:11 I have decreed that one day
15:16 Moses shall be the leader of the kingdom of Egypt.
15:23 As you say, Pharaoh.
15:27 Oh, it is hot in here, it's so hot.
15:30 Oh, yes, it's better.
15:33 Mother, mother, mother. What, what?
15:35 Oh.
15:38 What is the meaning of this?
15:40 I have something for you.
15:41 For me?
15:44 Where did you get that?
15:45 My secret.
15:47 Let me see.
15:49 Oh, what, what, did you get this for me?
15:54 Yes.
15:56 It's beautiful.
15:59 This is from your brother, Pharaoh
16:02 the ruler of all the world.
16:04 Pharaoh sent me this? Yes.
16:05 And he honors you.
16:06 He honors me?
16:08 And this is more important by honoring you,
16:10 he honors me and he honors you
16:11 because he's preparing to me,
16:14 to be Pharaoh of all of the Egypt.
16:16 To sit on his throne mother, to sit on his throne.
16:21 I knew, that you would be great
16:23 from the time I saw you in those bulrushes
16:27 in that little basket
16:29 and I told my maids to bring that basket to me.
16:32 When I opened the lid you cried louder than any baby
16:35 I ever heard in Egypt.
16:37 And I thought,
16:38 this man is going to be great.
16:44 Oh, Moses, I'm so proud of you.
16:46 We must praise the Gods of Egypt,
16:49 they have done so much for us,
16:50 what would they done, praise be to the God.
16:52 But, wood, stone, gold, silver,
16:53 they can't hear anything.
16:55 The Gods can't--
16:58 No one to guards get hear you,
17:00 now the priest is waiting even now for your training.
17:03 So go at once and today
17:05 I want you to bow the knee to the God's.
17:08 Do you hear me, Moses?
17:09 Today, today.
17:10 Yes mother, I will go, I will go, I will go.
17:13 Yes, Moses, Pharaoh of our Egypt.
17:19 Oh, that is wonderful.
17:22 Didn't I tell you it was hot in here?
17:27 Oh, yes that's better.
17:28 Oh, yes.
17:51 Moses, you should guard your telling lesson,
17:54 the God's of Egyptian people hear your disrespect.
17:57 I'm here for my lesson.
17:59 You've been with us for powers for many many years
18:02 and yet you never been here to worship.
18:05 Perhaps today is the first time
18:07 you will kneel before the Gods of Egyptian people.
18:09 Worship your Gods,
18:11 I worship the one and only true God.
18:13 The God of heaven and the God of earth.
18:16 The true God.
18:18 No God is more powerful than Ra or Anubis
18:23 or the Gods of Egyptian people.
18:25 Your God, you're Gods are wood, they are stone,
18:26 they are gold or silver
18:28 they can't speak, they can't talk,
18:30 they don't think, they are not God.
18:31 How dare you?
18:34 You should be careful, Moses.
18:36 If anyone were hear your lies,
18:39 you might loose all that you love.
18:41 The fees, the richest you've been promise.
18:43 The princess might cast you out,
18:46 the Pharaoh might have your head.
18:48 Pharaoh, what do you know about Pharaoh?
18:50 I know--
18:51 And about Pharaoh business.
18:53 I'm going to turn to some slaves for Pharaoh,
18:56 what do you know about Pharaoh?
18:59 I know where you come from Moses.
19:08 He will kneel before the Egyptian Gods,
19:11 oh, yes, he will.
19:23 It's so hot and I'm so tired.
19:30 Lazy Hebrews, get up, get away,
19:34 you two get away just get away.
19:36 Cinda, Cinda,
19:39 one more is dead
19:40 now you gonna have to work twice as hard.
19:43 Great God at heaven,
19:45 how can they work any harder?
19:47 How can they work any harder?
19:49 I'm here on Pharaoh bidding to make them work harder.
19:51 Work harder--
19:53 I pledge before you, I will set your people free.
20:02 Did I say to stop working?
20:04 Go ahead and move.
20:24 Some thank the Lord for friends and home
20:28 For mercies sure and sweet
20:32 But I would praise Him for His grace
20:36 In prayer I would repeat
20:42 Thank you, Lord, for saving my soul
20:47 Thank you, Lord, for making me whole
20:51 Thank you, Lord, for giving to me
20:58 Thy great salvation
21:02 so rich and free

22:11 Oh, not quite.
22:12 You've been with me on Kids' Time
22:13 for a lot of years
22:14 and I want to thank you for you and your brother both.
22:17 Your brought Samuel have help Miss. Brenda's on awful lot
22:19 since you were really tiny,
22:21 when we started even our older studio,
22:23 are you-- were with me on Kids' Time
22:26 and you have always had a heart for Jesus.
22:28 Your mom and dad have raised you well,
22:31 and they have taught you to have a heart for Jesus.
22:33 In fact what does your mom and dad do?
22:35 My dad is the General Manager of 3ABN Latino
22:38 and my mom is the--
22:40 Administrative assistant.
22:41 I'll help you out here for 3ABN Latino.
22:43 She also produces the 3ABN Latino today program.
22:45 Yes.
22:46 She is a very talented woman
22:48 and as well as doing cooking programs.
22:49 Honestly I think your mom can do it all.
22:52 I called her Tida.
22:55 And you were involved with the project.
22:57 You recently went with your whole family
22:59 with your mom, your dad and your brother Samuel.
23:02 And tell me where did you go?
23:04 We went to Guatemala, with the group,
23:07 Broken Chains for Humanity.
23:09 Broken Chains for Humanity.
23:10 Now you brought some pictures
23:11 and I love pictures boys and girls, don't you,
23:13 so I would like you got quite a few pictures,
23:15 let's just go through some of them
23:17 and I think while you are talking about that,
23:18 the kids are gonna see what you are talking about.
23:20 Our very first picture right here
23:22 is what we're looking at?
23:24 This is of the landfill, we gave tickets to families
23:27 so that they can get bags of food.
23:29 So you passed out this is the landfill
23:31 and then they can get bags of food
23:33 and not to eat.
23:35 And this right here is looks like some doctors
23:38 that are seeing patients
23:40 and you were actually not in the picture
23:41 but you're translating them
23:43 for some of the doctors, aren't you?
23:44 Yes, I'm translating for others
23:46 so that they can find over what happened.
23:48 And there's your mom right there
23:49 and she is doing some dental care on a patient,
23:53 your dad is in the background
23:54 and that-- because dental care
23:57 quite a needs there isn't it?
23:58 Yes, yes it is.
23:59 And also there is a picture of your entire family
24:02 with also-- isn't that director?
24:05 Who is that?
24:06 Yes, that is Pastor Ron cook and his wife Marilyn.
24:10 And his wife Marilyn, and they actually founded
24:11 Broken Chains didn't they.
24:13 And that's amazing.
24:14 Oh, look at these kids here, why were they holding up?
24:17 They are holding some match box cars
24:19 that we were given-- giving away there.
24:22 You brought your own match box cars didn't you?
24:23 Yes, I did.
24:24 And you also gave up some of you beanie babies,
24:26 I understand, you took that too?
24:27 I did also.
24:29 And look at this little boy,
24:30 he's holding one of those beanie babies.
24:32 Yes.
24:33 He looks pretty happy. He does.
24:34 He does, he sure does.
24:36 And then who is this?
24:38 This is Doctor Danny Castanaza.
24:42 And they call him Dr. Danny.
24:43 Yes.
24:44 And he is on the board I believes in Broken Chains.
24:46 Yes he is.
24:47 And, let's see this next picture is
24:49 what is this?
24:51 These are the lines of people that were getting toys
24:53 and the tickets for the meals.
24:56 So you only have so many meals
24:57 and so you had to get a meal
24:59 the people had actually have a ticket
25:01 and these people live in that dump
25:03 down that landfill.
25:04 Don't they? They live there.
25:05 And so, this next picture is some of the books
25:09 that you brought from 3ABN Latino.
25:11 That wonderful, that they were excited to get those.
25:13 They were so happy one of they got them
25:15 and here I'm--
25:18 Giving Bible quizzes?
25:19 Yes, I'm giving a Bible quizzes,
25:20 so that we can give away some of the toys
25:22 because we were running short.
25:23 So that way, they say answered a Bible question
25:25 they could get a toy.
25:26 And what are we looking at here oh, it says--
25:30 Here my dad is interviewing one of the people
25:32 that lived at landfill in their house.
25:37 It's not really--
25:38 Not a clean house though.
25:39 It's really sad
25:40 because these people don't have anything and--
25:43 Here we are packing the bags of food
25:45 into the truck,
25:46 so that we can give them to the people.
25:48 Oh, what an incredible mission.
25:51 Look at this little boy.
25:53 This little boy has probably been there all his life.
25:57 And this is where that shows the homes,
25:59 this is where they live,
26:01 anything they can throw together to make a house.
26:02 Yes.
26:03 And to have any type of and-- what it is this?
26:06 There are some more pictures.
26:07 These are all recycled materials
26:09 that they have like cans, cardboards, metals
26:12 anything that they can recycle--
26:13 So they actually work here at this dump
26:14 because whatever they can find
26:16 and from the dump that's what supports them right?
26:20 Oh, this is just amazing.
26:22 Well, I want to thank you so much
26:24 for sharing with us today, Caleb.
26:26 And if you anyone wants to support Broken Chains
26:28 write to Caleb here at 3ABN, wont you?
