00:01 It's almost time for Kids' Time. We're gonna be late.
00:04 It's time to share, there's a world out there
00:08 Looking for a friend like Jesus
00:11 It's time to share, there's a world out there
00:16 Let's tell them that He loves us so
00:20 Let's tell them that He loves us so
00:24 Kids' time Kids' time
00:26 Kids' time Kids' time
00:28 Kids' time
00:31 Hi, boy and girls.
00:32 Everyone who knows me knows I'm a real planner.
00:36 I specially love producing Kids' Time programs for you.
00:39 But I have noticed something.
00:40 No matter how hard I plan, sometimes God has other plans.
00:45 Kind of like when God called Jonah
00:47 to preach to the people of Nineveh.
00:49 Now those weren't Jonah's plans at all.
00:51 And remember how Saul was persecuting the Jews,
00:54 thinking he was doing the right thing,
00:55 then God confronted him on the road to Damascus,
00:58 blinded him with light,
00:59 changed his name to Paul and said,
01:01 "Stop what you've been doing.
01:03 I have got other plans for you."
01:05 And we all know how God chose a young girl name Mary
01:09 to be the mother of Jesus.
01:11 That changed her plans for sure.
01:14 Boys and girls, God has a special plan for you, too.
01:18 All you need to do is give your heart to Him.
01:22 Well, right now it's time for our Nature Time.
01:32 Hi, boys and girls. Welcome to Nature Time.
01:34 We're here in beautiful Australia,
01:36 this beautiful beach here
01:38 and we're gonna talk to our special guest Gavin.
01:40 Glad to have you here, Gavin. Thank you for having me.
01:42 And we got something very special, kids.
01:44 We're gonna talk about how we catch fish,
01:46 but these are--these fish are already been caught
01:49 and I wouldn't want to eat this.
01:51 What are they for? Well, they've already been eaten.
01:53 These are fish skeletons, Ranger Dwight.
01:55 Okay. And I'm using this for burley.
01:57 Now burley is just an attractant.
01:58 Okay. It'll attract beach worms.
02:01 Now beach worms live in the sand
02:04 and you're gonna see me catch them.
02:06 What I'll do, I get this stinky fish, friends.
02:10 Yeah. And I wipe it in the waves.
02:12 As the waves recede, the little worms stick their heads up.
02:15 Because they must have awful good smell, right?
02:18 They've got a fantastic sense of smell. Okay.
02:21 And I want these worms in order to catch more fish. Okay.
02:23 So these worms are my bait to catch more fish like this.
02:26 Now how bigger these beach worms, I want to see one?
02:29 Okay, they are about 2 meters long.
02:31 I've got some in my hand here.
02:32 These worms aren't 2 meters.
02:35 These are about half grown,
02:37 but they are a good size for bait.
02:39 Wow, kids. So there is one.
02:40 Do you want to hold it? They're a bit slippery.
02:44 Yeah, I'll let you-- friends you have to swivel
02:46 as Gavin hold this thing. Believe or not.
02:48 But you're saying 2 meters,
02:49 that kids that's like 6 feet long a beach worm.
02:52 I didn't even know they had anything like that.
02:54 Now I want to see that, you showed us the head.
02:57 I'm showing to the head.
02:58 And which has the feet on it
02:59 which they really burrow in pretty quick in the sand.
03:02 Now they live all the down in the sand.
03:04 The whole worms in the sand.
03:05 And as you'll see, just the head sticking it.
03:08 Okay. So I wipe the burley like this.
03:10 Okay. And there is one right there I can see.
03:13 I wipe the burley in the waves.
03:16 As the wave retreats, I get my little hand bait.
03:19 Now this is just a piece of fish.
03:20 Okay. Okay.
03:22 And I'll put the piece of fish,
03:23 right in front of the worms face.
03:25 Well, he can't resist the smell.
03:27 Oh, it smells beautiful.
03:29 So he can't resist that and he will grab all of it.
03:32 But I can't pull him it, he will let go with the bite.
03:35 I have got to get my fingers right down
03:37 behind his head, gently, gently, gently into the sand
03:41 so he doesn't sense me coming because they're very shy.
03:45 And I've got to get in behind the head, down here like this.
03:48 And what he'll do is he arches his wig.
03:50 When he arches his wig, I'm gonna grab him
03:52 and yank him up before he pulls back into the sand
03:55 because they really hang on to that sand.
03:57 You would think sand
03:58 wasn't too stronger substance to get grip on,
04:01 but they seem to really grip the sand.
04:03 So I've got to use a fair bit of force
04:05 to pull them out of the sand.
04:06 I was watching you're pulling them out
04:08 and they just seem like it
04:09 took for ever to get them out.
04:10 They keep coming, they shrink up a little bit
04:12 when you get them out of the water,
04:13 but they grow really long as we saw.
04:17 How did you-- How did you learn to do this?
04:19 Well, I taught myself and it's-- It's not something
04:23 that you're gonna learn in one afternoon.
04:25 Yeah. It took months and months to get good at it.
04:27 Yeah. Okay.
04:29 Now I can catch these and sell them for bait.
04:31 Gavin, I never knew there was such a beach worm
04:34 that was almost 6 feet long.
04:35 Do you do this for living?
04:37 I do, Ranger Dwight. I fish for a living.
04:40 I'm a commercial fisherman here in the east coast of Australia.
04:43 The beaches, the rivers, and gulf shore and at sea. Wow.
04:46 So I catch these worms for my bait,
04:48 so I can continue fishing.
04:49 Isn't that exciting, kids?
04:51 Well, Gavin, it's been a pleasure
04:52 that you've been with us.
04:54 And I've learned a lot today. And I bet, you kids have, too.
04:56 Never forget, nature's got second,
04:58 but get out there and take a look.
05:00 I want to catch one of those worms.
05:01 Let's go. Let's go, let's go.
05:13 Swing low
05:17 Sweet chariot
05:24 Comin' for to carry me home
05:35 Swing low
05:39 Sweet chariot
05:46 Comin' for to carry me home
05:54 I looked over Jordan And what did I see
06:01 Comin' for to carry me home
06:06 A band of angels comin' after me
06:12 Comin' for to carry me home
06:17 Swing low, sweet chariot
06:23 Comin' for to carry me home
06:28 Swing low, sweet chariot
06:34 Comin' for to carry me home
06:42 Comin' for to carry me home.
06:59 Hi, kids, welcome to Learning Time.
07:02 I'm glad you join us today.
07:03 And it looks to me like,
07:04 we're gonna have an exceptional program, don't you?
07:08 Yes. We're gonna need some helpers.
07:10 We got a bunch of eggs here.
07:11 Let's see who we have over here.
07:13 Now I've got Calvin, he's gonna help us.
07:15 And we've got Cassidy and Sarah and Rashawn.
07:19 Now, have you ever looked at an egg?
07:21 You know, I've got-- We got a bunch of eggs
07:22 right here, but you know,
07:23 eggs are very, very delicate, aren't they?
07:25 Yes. And at the same times, eggs are very, very strong.
07:28 I mean, I can take this egg. These are all raw eggs.
07:30 And I can take the egg and I can crack it.
07:32 Oh, there we go and I can crack it and it's a what?
07:35 It's a raw egg.
07:36 Now if you hit the egg on the side, it's pretty weak.
07:39 If you hit the egg or support the egg with weight
07:41 on both ends, it's pretty strong.
07:43 So what our helpers are going to try to do right here,
07:46 Cassidy and Sarah they're gonna try to walk on the eggs.
07:50 What do you think about that?
07:52 Okay, so we're gonna have the gentleman right here
07:54 help them on top of the eggs to start with
07:57 and then we're gonna try.
07:58 Go ahead, let's go ahead, go ahead,
07:59 try to get Cassidy up and go on.
08:01 All right, she is gonna stand up here.
08:02 Okay, give her some support.
08:04 She is gonna put both feet,
08:05 both feet right there on the eggs
08:07 and let's see what happens.
08:08 One foot and the other foot.
08:10 Whoa, I think I like that.
08:12 Okay, let's help Sarah on here. Sarah is gonna get--
08:15 Do you think they were gonna break?
08:17 Yeah. And look, they're not breaking at all.
08:19 And she's got one foot on there, she's got another foot.
08:22 I wonder how far they could walk on the eggs.
08:24 Shall we find out? Yeah.
08:25 Okay. All right, Cassidy, why don't you go ahead
08:27 and take your first step and then the next step, Cassidy,
08:30 and the next step right over here
08:33 and one more step, one more
08:35 and she's gonna be gone right here
08:37 and all the way off the board, give her a nice hand.
08:40 Okay, Sarah, are you ready?
08:42 All right, Sarah, let's go.
08:43 She's gonna take a step. Let's go.
08:45 As one step and let's count them.
08:49 Two steps and three steps and four steps, and a wow.
08:55 Give them a nice. Can you believe that?
08:59 How many of you thought that an egg would break?
09:02 I mean, really. How many of you thought that?
09:04 You know, isn't that interesting to me?
09:05 I mean, that is interesting, so cool.
09:08 Well, you know what? This is an interesting experiment.
09:11 We know that we just crack the egg.
09:13 You know, a little chick,
09:14 how did they get out of the egg?
09:15 They crack it. Crack.
09:16 Crack it. Right, they crack it.
09:17 They have a little thing that grows on the end of their bill
09:20 just for getting out of the egg
09:22 and they peck here at the side and it breaks open.
09:24 But if you support it from the ends,
09:26 it's really, really strong.
09:27 I think that's very interesting.
09:29 Who made the chicken? God.
09:31 Who made the eggs? God.
09:34 That's right.
09:35 But, you know, that reminds me
09:36 of something very interesting because,
09:38 you know what, there is a lot of things
09:40 that could maybe bother us and bug us,
09:45 you know, little things, little things.
09:46 Little things can peck away at us
09:48 and destroy us and that's not good, is it?
09:50 No. No, but you know what?
09:51 You know, God wants us to have His Holy Spirit,
09:54 His Spirit within our hearts.
09:55 So, you know, when bad things happen
09:57 and we have pressures and things that go wrong
09:59 we can pray to Him, we can pray to Him
10:01 and we can ask Him to give us the strength
10:04 that we need in order to be victorious
10:06 and to be a good example of what a Christian should be like.
10:09 Don't you think that's a good idea? Yes.
10:11 So I want you to think about the egg
10:13 because the egg is very strong
10:15 because God made it and it's like an arch
10:18 and their arches are very strong and round things
10:20 are the strongest things in structures in nature.
10:23 God knew that because He gave a chicken and birds round eggs.
10:28 He absolutely gave us round heads.
10:30 Do you have a round head or a square head?
10:31 Round. A round head.
10:33 And they are very, very strong.
10:34 They have to be strong. And you know what?
10:36 When trials come and things come in to peck away at me
10:40 and destroy me, I want to give my heart
10:43 and I want to give my heart to God.
10:44 I want to pray to Him, I want to meditate to Him
10:47 and that is going to give us the power,
10:49 so that if we are under pressure we won't break.
10:53 Do you want to break under pressure?
10:54 No. No, none of us do.
10:56 And you know when we learn more about science,
10:59 we learn more about our Creator God.
11:11 Hello, Joseph. Don't you ever take a break?
11:15 I see your candle burn day and night.
11:19 They're so much more to do in Nazareth
11:21 other than work all day.
11:24 Speaking of work, I have a stool here
11:26 that needs a little bit of repair.
11:28 You think you can find time to do this.
11:30 I sure can and that's what I need is more work.
11:34 Aha. I know why you're working so hard.
11:39 You're soon to be a married man.
11:43 That is true. And you know what I love about Mary?
11:46 That she loves God with all of her heart
11:49 and she is also waiting for the Messiah to come.
11:53 She certainly is a virtuous woman.
11:55 Yes, she appears to be a virtuous woman.
11:58 And I too am waiting for the Messiah to come.
12:03 The Romans are just taking more and more
12:05 of our freedoms away and taxing us more.
12:08 Yeah. These are dangerous times that we live in.
12:11 If we've ever needed a Messiah to come,
12:14 now is the time.
12:16 Yes, it is. Yes, it is.
12:20 Well, I guess I'll be on my way.
12:24 Take care, Joseph, God bless.
12:26 Thank you, my friend. Take care.
12:31 Mary.
12:33 Hi, Joseph, I brought you some fresh bread and meat today.
12:36 I know that with all the work you have to do,
12:38 you might not take time to eat.
12:40 So please stop, you need a little something.
12:43 That's what I love about you.
12:44 You're always thinking of others.
12:49 This is delicious.
12:51 If you want, I can stop by tomorrow
12:53 and bring you some of my fresh barley cakes.
12:55 Barley cakes? I love barley cakes.
12:58 All right, I'll see you then.
13:00 Thank you, Mary. God be with you.
13:02 God be with you, too.
13:04 Bye. Bye, Joseph.
13:12 Mary. Mary.
13:15 Rejoice highly favored one.
13:17 The Lord is with you.
13:19 You are blessed among women. Don't be afraid, Mary.
13:23 For you have found a favor with God.
13:26 Behold, you shall conceive,
13:29 you give birth to a son
13:31 as you shall call His name Jesus.
13:33 And He will be great
13:35 and He shall be called the Son of the Highest.
13:38 And the Lord God will put Him on the throne of David
13:41 and He shall reign over the house of Jacob forever
13:44 and of His kingdom, there would be no end.
13:47 But how can this be since I'm not married,
13:51 I've never been with a man.
13:53 The Holy Spirit shall come upon you.
13:55 And the power of the highest shall overshadow you.
13:59 This way, the holy one that will be born
14:01 will be called the Son of God.
14:03 Indeed, the cousin Elizabeth
14:05 has already conceived the son in her old age.
14:08 This is the sixth month of a woman
14:11 who before could not have children.
14:14 Mary, with God nothing is impossible.
14:17 With God nothing is impossible.
14:23 Behold, the maid-servant of the Lord.
14:27 Let it be to me according to Your word.
14:31 Oh, one more-- The angel's gone.
14:37 The angel said, "With God nothing is impossible."
14:43 But will anyone believe me?
14:47 I need to talk to someone who will believe me.
14:51 Elizabeth, yes.
14:53 She will believe me for the angel said
14:56 that she is going to bare a son in her old age.
14:59 I must go speak with her.
15:01 Oh, if I can get Joseph's blessing, I'll go immediately.
15:05 Oh, but what will Joseph think?
15:10 Well, I won't tell him what the angel said right now,
15:13 I just hope he understands I must see Elizabeth.
15:24 Mary, what brings you here so early in the morning?
15:28 And your bags. Are you going somewhere?
15:33 I brought you the barley cakes I promised.
15:35 Well, thank you.
15:37 But you didn't come here just to bring me barley cakes.
15:40 You are a wise man, Joseph.
15:42 My cousin Elizabeth is going to have a child in her old age.
15:47 I must go and see her and hear about
15:49 what God has done for her.
15:51 Would you please give me a blessing?
15:53 But, Mary, Judah is so far away from Nazareth.
15:57 And what about us? We'd be married soon.
16:01 Mary, don't be so sad.
16:04 It's not that I don't trust you, it's just--
16:09 If you must go, it's all right.
16:11 You have my blessing. Thank you, Joseph.
16:14 I'll miss you. And I'll miss you, too.
16:17 May God be with you. And with you.
16:21 Mary, don't forget your bag. You'll need this.
16:24 Goodbye. Bye, Mary.
16:32 Dear, Lord, please be with Mary on this long journey.
16:40 Oh, it's been such a long journey,
16:44 but I'm so excited I'm finally here.
16:47 Hello, hello.
16:51 Elizabeth. Ah, Mary.
16:55 At the sound of your voice,
16:56 the baby leapt within me for joy.
16:59 Oh, Mary, how wonderful it is to see you.
17:03 It's been so long and how you've grown.
17:06 I want to praise the Lord.
17:08 I love Him with all my heart.
17:10 He is my God and my Savior.
17:12 He has chosen me the least of all the women
17:15 in Israel to have His Son.
17:19 Oh, Mary, blessed are you among women.
17:22 Honored are you and the baby within your womb.
17:26 What a blessing that-- But who am I?
17:29 That the mother of the long expected
17:31 Messiah should come to visit me.
17:34 Mary, how wonderful that you believed
17:36 what the angel told you.
17:38 Everything that he has told you will come true.
17:41 I myself would have a son soon.
17:45 What a blessing, Mary, that you've come.
17:49 And I want you to stay,
17:51 stay with us until the baby is born.
17:54 Oh, Mary, do stay.
17:55 I promise I will stay, but I just hope and pray
17:59 that whenever I return, Joseph will believe me
18:02 when I tell him of the miracle inside of me.
18:05 God will take care of that, Mary. Trust Him.
18:08 Come, we have so much to talk about.
18:11 Oh, do you want me to pick up the yarn?
18:12 Forget the yarn, let's go visit.
18:18 I can't believe three months have gone by already
18:22 and I've enjoyed every moment
18:23 having here with you and Zacharias.
18:26 You've been such a help, Mary.
18:28 So much has happened. Thank you for coming.
18:33 I'm just a little worried right now
18:35 that whenever I return, Joseph and everyone
18:38 that knows me will not believe the divine origin of this baby.
18:44 This baby is of God, Mary.
18:47 You have to have faith and trust in Him.
18:50 He'll take care of Joseph and the others you'll see.
18:54 We know, don't we, Zacharias?
18:56 We know how God can take care of things.
18:59 Yes, Elizabeth, my dear.
19:01 Just look what He did for us.
19:03 Our precious baby John, we love him so much.
19:06 Oh, yes, we certainly do
19:08 and God will take care of you also.
19:10 Oh, thank you so much.
19:16 Remember, Mary, what's inside of you is from God.
19:20 Have faith, trust in Him, may He give you peace.
19:24 And remember, He'll be with you now and forever more.
19:30 We love you, Mary. I love you, both.
19:34 Goodbye now. Bye.
19:36 God be with you, Mary.
19:40 Isn't he wonderful, Zacharias?
19:42 Yes, he certainly is wonderful. Our little miracle.
19:46 Our little baby John such a miracle.
19:56 [Music]
21:54 It's time for Miss Brenda's Book of the Day.
21:58 And today's book is called "Song of the Trail"
22:01 by Mabel Earp Cason.
22:03 And it's a book that talks about the sadness and laughter
22:06 and frustration of the sheep trail,
22:08 taught David to be responsible for his obligation
22:11 and always to put his trust in Jesus, the good shepherd.
22:15 Lots of cowboys stories in this, "Song of the Trail."
22:21 Well, today I have a special guest.
22:23 Do you wanna meet? Maxwell, our Kids' Time dog.
22:27 And, Maxwell, your eyes are open. Yes, buddy.
22:30 Let's read the letters to the boys and girls.
22:31 You want to do that? I think he does.
22:34 Well, let's read a letter.
22:35 Let's see where our first letter is from.
22:37 I love getting all your letters, boys and girls.
22:39 Well, I encourage you to keep writing me
22:41 and telling me about all the things
22:43 you do to share Jesus.
22:45 This letter is from Germany.
22:47 And let's see--Oh, I have a wonderful picture here.
22:51 And look at this. Isn't that pretty?
22:53 And it says, "Dear, Miss Brenda,
22:56 my name is Jenna and my little sister Nana, is six years old.
23:01 We live in Germany and we watch Kids' Time
23:04 and Tiny Tots on DVDs.
23:06 My favorite is Story Time
23:08 and my sister's love cooking with Katie.
23:10 We share Jesus by saving our money for missions
23:14 and by also by singing in our church."
23:16 It said, "My mom is writing this for us
23:19 because we can't write in English yet.
23:22 And sometimes we just love to watch Kids' Time
23:26 over and over and over again.
23:29 Thank you Jenna and Nana." Well, thank you so much.
23:32 And I'm so glad that you'll enjoy the program
23:35 and getting a blessing out of it.
23:36 Encourage your friends to watch too,
23:38 that's a good way to share Jesus.
23:40 Let's see over here we've got another letter.
23:42 Let's see. Hey, Maxwell, what about this one?
23:44 Did you like that letter?
23:46 Yeah, well, we've got another one right here.
23:49 This letter is from Brownsboro Texas.
23:52 "Dear, Miss Brenda, my name is Marika,
23:54 but Mori for short.
23:56 That might be easier for you to say."
23:58 I think you're right.
23:59 It says, "I'm 14 years old and I love watching Kids' Time.
24:02 My favorite is the Leaning Time with Mr. Ben Roy.
24:05 I watch it every chance I get."
24:07 And it said, "I would really like to be on the show
24:09 and also I'd like to be on Kids' Time Praise.
24:11 I play the piano and sing.
24:13 Well, I share Jesus by helping people at church
24:16 and also all those around me.
24:18 And I tell all my friends about Jesus every chance I get.
24:22 And I tell them to signup for Bible studies.
24:24 I like to read and I'd like a Kids' Time bookmark, please."
24:27 And it said, "Thank you for Kids' Time. Love Mori."
24:31 And it says, "I also help my mom with health seminars.
24:34 PS, how can I be on Kids' Time Praise?"
24:37 Well, you can be on Kids' Time Praise
24:39 by sending me a DVD of your singing
24:41 or playing your musical instrument
24:43 and you can just send it to me here at 3ABN.
24:46 Okay, that's how you do that.
24:48 And then it gets submitted to our music committee.
24:51 And also she drew a beautiful picture of a rose
24:54 with a Bible verse.
24:55 Isn't that wonderful, boys and girls?
