00:01 It's almost time for Kids' time.
00:03 We're going to be late. 00:04 It's time to share there is world out there 00:08 Looking for a friend like Jesus 00:12 It's time to share there is a world out there 00:16 Let's tell them there loves us so 00:20 Let's tell them there loves us so 00:24 Kid's time Kid's time 00:26 Kid's time Kid's time Kid's time 00:31 Hi, boys and girls. 00:32 I love family reunions, don't you? 00:35 I have a great big family. 00:37 And since we all live in different places, 00:39 we can't get together very often, 00:41 but it's wonderful when we do. 00:43 We love to play games together and sing around the piano 00:46 and cook our favorite meals we had growing up. 00:48 Of course as kid's we sometimes had disagreements, 00:52 but we learn to forget and let Jesus live in our hearts. 00:55 If we didn't have love in our hearts for each other, 00:58 our big family reunions probably wouldn't be very much fun. 01:02 You know, boys and girls, sometimes we make mistakes. 01:05 And sometimes those mistakes 01:07 hurt the people we love the most. 01:09 And if we don't say, I'm sorry, 01:11 that bad feelings between us can get worse and worse. 01:15 That's what our Bible story is about today. 01:18 It's about a reunion between two brothers, 01:20 who hadn't talked to each other in years. 01:23 If there is someone you weren't, why don't you plan on saying, 01:26 I'm sorry to them today. 01:29 Right now, it's time for "Nature Time." 01:38 Hi, boys and girls, welcome to Nature Time. 01:41 I'm in the beautiful country of Australia. 01:43 And we're at the Wild Sanctuary in Currumbin, Australia. 01:46 And I have an expert on birds, 01:49 but this is a special bird. 01:50 What kind of bird is this, tell me? 01:51 This is a Wedge-tailed Eagle. 01:53 It's Australia's largest aerial predator 01:55 as you can see he is quite large. 01:57 And he's quite heavy kids, I'll tell you, 01:59 he's been hanging around for a little while. Yes. 02:01 Okay. Well, tell me about this. 02:02 How big is-- how heavy is this bird right now? 02:06 Well, what are you looking at right now of Jessie? 02:08 It's Jessie, okay, hi, Jessie. 02:10 He's 4 kilos Australian which is pounds again. 02:13 Probably maybe between eight and ten pounds, but heavy. 02:16 If you're holding it out in your arms, like this. 02:17 Yes, exactly. 02:18 But guess what, the females are much, much bigger. 02:21 They're bigger than the males. Yeah, yeah. 02:22 The couple of kilos bigger than the males. 02:24 So I have to protect their nests. Okay. 02:26 So he is light, the females are much, much heavier. 02:30 What do these eagles eat? 02:33 Well, basically what you're looking at right now 02:35 is a type of bird called the raptor. 02:37 You know, raptor is a bird that uses 02:39 their legs as their weapons of choice. Okay. 02:41 So you can see everyone look at the beak, right. 02:43 And say, wow that is such a big beak. Yeah. 02:45 But really what are you looking at is those feet. 02:48 Now those feet have enough crushing power 02:50 in them to break every hard bone in your hand, 02:52 which is exactly why you're wearing a glove. Yeah. Yeah. 02:56 That's scary. 02:57 Yeah, so reason why raptor would have those talons, 03:00 because that would be going for live food. Okay. 03:02 So any raptor they go, they'll go for other birds. 03:06 They might go for rodents, they might go for rabbits, 03:09 you know, anything like that, 03:11 but the Wedge -tailed Eagle. 03:13 He's actually a quite lazy hunter. 03:15 Is that right? Yeah. 03:17 He feeds on carrion. Okay, dead stuff. 03:20 Yeah. 03:22 So, how big is this-- I mean this Wedge-tailed eagle 03:25 only in Australia? 03:27 The Wedge-tailed Eagle is found only in Australia. Okay. 03:30 How does it-- how does it match up 03:32 with the Bald eagle in America? 03:34 'Cause that's a big eagle, 03:35 but this seems mighty big, you know. 03:36 No, I don't know. 03:38 But I'm planning of traveling over one day 03:40 checking it out, 'cause I heard that 03:42 you guys have amazing eagles over there. 03:44 We do. We do. 03:45 But this is an amazing eagle. 03:48 Now does it on the tails, is it called a wedge tailed, 03:51 because it has a wedge tail? 03:53 Yes, this is one distinctive thing 03:54 about the Wedge- tailed Eagle. 03:55 So when they're soaring around in the sky, 03:58 you can determine the Wedge-tailed Eagle 04:00 because of that wedge tail. Okay. 04:02 And they're-- yeah, quite large. 04:03 They actually don't need to make one single bake 04:05 for hours when they're out there. 04:07 And that's 'cause of their perfect design. 04:09 God is amazing kids', He always does the perfect design. 04:13 You and I would get it all messed up. 04:15 Well, how long does this eagle live? 04:17 The eagle, just like some parrots of Australia, 04:20 they live 80 human years. 80 years old. 04:23 Now how do you know how old this eagle is? 04:25 He is around 16. 04:27 Sixteen, so he's just a kid. 04:28 He is just a kid. Yeah. 04:30 Now they can fly, do they get thermal 04:32 and stuff like other eagles? They do. 04:34 They can take rising thermals. 04:36 And he does get very excited 04:37 when he has the brace got towards him. 04:39 He feels that you can naturally has to instinctively 04:41 fly up towards the sky. Wow. 04:44 Now I want to-- I want that you said these could be 04:46 kind of affection, not to me they doesn't know me. 04:48 But to you-- I like to pass it off to you. 04:50 Yeah, no wait. 04:51 I'll show you what they do. Let see what happens here. 04:53 Okay watch this, kids. Ready. 04:54 He is going to open up his wings and step up on my glove. 04:57 Look at those wings, kids. 04:58 All right. Wow. 05:00 So you can see those wings, he's using those large talons, 05:02 I think he likes you too much. 05:04 He doesn't want to leave you. 05:05 Check out, the wedge tail. 05:06 Wow. Look at that, kids. 05:08 Large wings there, as you can see every feather is perfect. 05:13 Yeah. Like an athlete of the sky. 05:15 So they make a very good umbrella. 05:17 Yeah. Okay. 05:19 And then when they're in captivity they do bond 05:21 with whoever takes care of them, 05:23 'cause in the world they bond for luck. Okay. 05:25 And so what we do is we can actually-- 05:27 Ah, kids, isn't that so neat? 05:30 I won't try to do that. He is taking my hair with him. 05:34 Oh, this been fantastic having you here. 05:36 You're surely an expert on these Wedge-tailed Eagles. 05:39 Thanks for being here with us today. 05:40 No worries. Thank you. 05:42 Kids, don't forget, nature is God second book. 05:44 Get out there and take a look. 05:46 Oh, man. 05:50 I don't even want to touch that. They are so neat. 08:22 Welcome to "Learning Time." 08:24 I'm glad you joined us today. 08:25 And today, we're in beautiful Collegedale, Tennessee. 08:29 Yeah! 08:32 And I've got a lot of helpers today. 08:34 You know, today, we're going to do an experiment. 08:36 You can do at home, you might need a little help with it. 08:39 But have you ever seen a Tornado? Yes. 08:41 Well, some people might live in the areas 08:43 where there are tornados. 08:44 And every now and then, 08:45 we might even have a tornado here. 08:47 But you can actually make a tornado in a bottle 08:50 by taking two 2 liters bottles. 08:52 Take two caps, glue them together, 08:54 and put a hole in them. 08:55 And if you twist it round like this and it will shake it 08:58 and you can absolutely get a tornado. Wow. 09:01 Do you want to hold that? 09:02 Put it-- hold that like there. 09:04 There's a tornado. It's amazing. 09:05 Now a tornado is a turning force. 09:08 We call it a vortex. 09:10 Today, we're going to make some vortexes in the air. 09:13 And we're going to do that with some trash cans. 09:15 So go ahead and bring your trash can up here. 09:17 Now if you'll notice, look at the way 09:18 we've got a hole in the trash can right here. 09:21 Then we've got a piece of shower 09:23 curtain on the other end to make a drum head. 09:25 Okay, bring it over here, guys. 09:27 And we have our helper. 09:28 And she's going to help us here. 09:29 We're going to put some fog in there, 09:31 go ahead and shoot it for us. 09:32 Go-ahead and press the button. 09:33 Press the button. 09:34 There you go, press the button. 09:36 And we're going to put some fog in here, just like that. 09:39 Okay, good. 09:40 Okay, there you go, all right. 09:41 Okay, stop. Okay. 09:43 And then put this down 09:44 and carry it way back there to the end. 09:45 Okay, we're going to bring our next one up here. 09:47 Okay, put that down. 09:49 Okay, here we go. Come on, over here. 09:50 We're going to shoot some more fog in here 09:52 so we can see-- Okay, press the button. 09:54 We're going to put a lot of fog in here, 09:56 so that the fog will mix with the air molecules. 09:59 So you can see it, just like that. Okay. 10:02 And you can stop right there. 10:03 Okay, all right. 10:04 And keep it down low. 10:05 Keep it down low, just like that. 10:07 And let's see what we've got. 10:09 Okay, but move back a little bit. 10:10 Move over here, because we got to have some room. 10:13 Okay, they're going to aim at-- Go ahead, 10:14 aim it up in the air. 10:15 And they're going to hit the shower curtain 10:18 and we're going to see some vortexes coming out. 10:20 Okay, go ahead. Are you going to hit it? 10:21 Wow. 10:24 Wow! 10:26 And look at that. 10:28 Now how cool is that. 10:29 Isn't that interesting? 10:30 Okay. 10:32 Okay, now stop. 10:33 All right, I think most of our fog is out. 10:36 Okay, now we're goon put one in here. 10:38 Now all right, let's go ahead and shoot some in there. 10:41 Press the button for us, just like that. 10:44 Okay, and stop. 10:47 Okay. 10:48 Now what I want you to look at is what that ring does. 10:51 It's traveling in the air, just like that. 10:56 Now the air molecules that are in front, 10:59 they get out of the way and they let that ring go by. 11:03 I think that's interesting. 11:05 Now answer this question for me. 11:07 What's the shape of the hole? 11:09 A Circle. All right. 11:10 The shape of the hole is a circle. 11:13 What do you think what happened, 11:15 if we take another trash can 11:18 and we put a-- what shape hole in it? 11:22 A square hole. 11:24 How many of you think that will get a square ring? 11:28 Well, let's try it. 11:29 Go ahead, help me hold that. 11:30 Go ahead and let's put some stuff in there. 11:32 Push the button. 11:33 We're going to fill this up just like this. 11:37 Okay, and stop. 11:38 Okay, let's move it over here 11:40 and hit it one time for us. Wow. 11:43 What was the shape? A circle. 11:46 It's a circle shape, instead of a square shape. 11:51 Now that is interesting, isn't it? 11:54 Now let me ask you a question. 11:56 Why do you suppose that it comes out round 12:01 coming out of a square hole? Yes. 12:07 Okay, well you know what happened? 12:09 The smoke or the fog wants to come out square 12:12 that's coming out of a square hole. 12:14 But it can't stay square. 12:16 It can't stay square, because 12:19 square is not a strong structure in nature. 12:23 Have you ever seen a square tree trunk? 12:25 No. No. 12:26 Have you ever seen a square egg? No. 12:29 Oh, no that would be a very weak tree 12:32 or that would be a very weak egg and it would crack. 12:36 Have you ever seen a square head on somebody? 12:38 No. Oh, no. 12:40 that wouldn't be very strong. 12:42 Because God make things round that needs to be strong. 12:46 And even that smoke or that fog that comes out, 12:49 it has to go to the strongest shape in nature. 12:52 Because God make those natural rules, 12:56 we call them laws of nature. 12:58 Even nature, they have to obey God, 13:01 because God created all of nature didn't He? 13:04 Yes. Oh, yeah. 13:06 And you know, every time we learn more about science, 13:09 we learn more about our creator, God. 13:20 I just saw Jacob outside. 13:21 I just saw the shepherd's out with the flux. 13:23 We need to hurry, because we need to put as much time 13:26 and space between us and Laban. 13:29 It's so strange to think about weeping here. 13:31 I've litter my entire life. 13:35 And it still makes me so angry, 13:37 how my own father tricked Jacob into marrying my sister, Leah. 13:40 No, you still got to marry him after the week. 13:44 But he still had to work another seven years. 13:46 That's true. 13:48 But you'd have to remember that 13:50 you're still Jacob's favorite wife. 13:53 Anyway, we don't know when Laban is going to come back 13:56 with his men from that trip he went on. 13:58 We need to hurry, because when he finds out 14:00 that we're gone, he's going to be so angry. 14:03 But that's not all he's going to be angry about. 14:06 What did you say? 14:07 Um, can you grab that blanket? 14:09 Sure. Make sure we bring that. 14:11 Of course. 14:13 Here you go. 14:14 Thank you. 14:23 Rachel, Rachel, Laban's here. 14:25 What-- in the camp? 14:26 Yes, your father is in the camp. 14:27 Oh, I was hoping. 14:28 He forget us, it's been a week and half. 14:30 Well, he's brought all his men and he's really angry, 14:34 because Jacob told you, all his wives 14:36 and then his children and his sheep and his cattle. 14:39 That's Jacob worked hard for this. 14:41 Why would he be angry? 14:43 You know how is your father is? 14:45 You know how he gets. Why would he be here? 14:47 That's not all. 14:49 He's angry, because somebody has taken his idols, 14:52 he found them missing in his house. 14:53 Oh, no. 14:55 No. It's okay. 14:56 They're not even in the camp. 14:57 We don't worship gods. No. No. 14:58 I took the idols. I have them. 15:01 You did what? I have them here. 15:05 Oh, Rachel. What he's going to do? 15:08 You have to help me hide them. 15:10 I'm going to take the children. 15:11 I'm going to take the children and you hide them. 15:13 Come on, kids. Let's go. 15:14 Let's go. We're going to go and play. 15:15 Let's get play. Where can I put them? 15:16 Just go and hide them quick, he's coming. 15:20 Jacob, I still can't believe that this is happening to me. 15:23 Why would you take my children 15:25 and everything away from me and especially my idols? 15:27 Why would you do that? 15:28 Laban, I didn't take the idols. 15:30 We'd search the whole camp and we haven't found them. 15:33 We're down to the last tent. 15:34 Your own daughter Rachel's tent. 15:37 You're going to search here too? 15:38 Yes, every tent, every square of inch. 15:41 Ezra, you get in there and search that tent right now. 15:43 Fine, we've got all day, 15:45 have a seat and let's take a look. 15:47 You're not going to find any idols in here. 15:50 Did you find anything yet? I didn't think so. 15:54 Laban, why are you treating me like a common thief? 15:57 I worked for you 20 long years. 16:01 I haven't took anything. 16:02 Why would I take idols? 16:04 I worship the living God. 16:06 We all serve the living God. 16:09 Keep looking. 16:11 Search every inch, don't miss a thing. 16:14 Are you finding anything? 16:16 Check the corner, over here. 16:20 See, there are no idols. 16:21 Are you finding idols back there? 16:23 We didn't take the idols. 16:26 Don't worry, you're going to look under Rachel now. 16:28 Get on up. Rachel, get up. 16:32 He needs to look underneath you 16:33 and he needs to look every where. 16:34 Father, dearest father, 16:36 I'm so tired, can I stay here, please. 16:40 I'm conducting the search, not you, you stay seated. 16:44 Ezra, keep looking, did you find anything? 16:50 See, no idols, Laban. 16:51 You need to get pass this. 16:53 Maybe I have been hasty. 16:55 Maybe I've misjudged you, Jacob. 16:56 So why don't we just build an order here, right now. 17:00 And let's having covenant of peace between us. 17:05 And then I'll go back to Haran. 17:06 And you can take your family and go on to Canaan. 17:11 Thank you, Laban. 17:18 We've been wrestling all night. 17:21 It's almost daybreak. 17:24 I will not let you kill me family? 17:28 Who are you? You one of Esau's men. 17:31 Esau need to bring 400 men to kill my family? 17:37 I won't let you go kill my family. 17:42 Lord, help me. 17:47 I won't let you go. 17:50 Let me go because it will soon be daybreak. 17:56 I won't let you go till you bless me. 17:58 What is your name? Jacob. 18:03 I'm changing your name. 18:05 You'll longer be called Jacob, but Israel, 18:10 because you have wrestled with me 18:12 and I will give you the assurance of forgiveness 18:15 and blessings for which you have struggled. 18:19 What is your name? 18:21 You know who I am, may you be blessed. 18:27 I've seen the Lord face to face, and yet I live. 18:32 Praise me to God. 18:35 I have the assurance of forgiveness. 18:38 Where did you go? Where did you go? 18:43 He was the Lord. 18:47 I've seen the Lord face to face, and yet I live. 18:53 Praise me to God, I'm forgiven. 18:59 Thanks for being with me. 19:01 Since I made peace with Laban and made it to Canaan. 19:06 Praise me to God, I'm forgiven. 19:08 I can now face Esau and his four hundred men. 19:12 Praise me to God. I'm no longer afraid. 19:20 Esau. Yes. 19:22 I scouted a head and saw a man coming this way. 19:25 Do you think its Jacob, my brother? 19:28 I'm almost certain. 19:29 Are you sure? Yes. 19:30 Pull back with the other men. 19:31 I must be alone with my brother. 19:36 Oh, Jacob. Esau. 19:39 I'm so happy to see you. 19:41 Esau, I have sinned against you. 19:45 Can you forgive me? 19:46 Jacob, I have already forgiven you. 19:49 Forgive, my brother. 19:51 For 20 long years, I have wanted your forgiveness. 19:55 Thank you my brother. 19:57 Did you get those gifts that I sent you? 19:59 I did. I don't need them. 20:01 No. Please, if I have found favor in your eyes. 20:03 Please accept it. 20:05 As you wish.
