00:01 It's almost time for "Kids' Time."
00:02 We're gonna be late.
00:04 It's time to share, there's a world out there
00:08 Looking for a friend like Jesus
00:11 It's time to share, there's a world out there
00:16 Let's tell them that He loves us so
00:20 Let's tell them that He loves us so
00:24 Kids' time Kids' time Kids' time Kids' time
00:31 Hi, boys and girls.
00:33 Do you like to gather around a big bonfire
00:35 when the weather is cold?
00:37 It feels so good to warm your hands
00:39 and feet by the warm flames, doesn't it?
00:41 But I'm sure you know to be careful
00:43 not to fall into the fire, because you'll get burn.
00:46 I know a story about three young men
00:48 who were thrown into very, very hot fire by an angry king
00:53 and they didn't get burned at all.
00:56 They didn't even smell like smoke.
00:58 In our Bible story today,
01:00 you'll learn that someone made the difference for them.
01:03 I wonder if you can guess who it is.
01:06 Maybe you know him already.
01:08 I sure hope so, but if not I'd be glad to introduce you.
01:12 We'll hear the whole story in just a bit,
01:15 but right now it's time for "Nature Time."
01:25 Hi, boys and girls. Welcome to Nature Time.
01:28 I'm having a fantastic time here at the Grand Cayman Island.
01:31 Right now we're about 2 miles out at this barrier reef.
01:34 It is amazing and I'm gonna go snorkeling under the water
01:38 with my friend Sparrow.
01:39 Sparrow, what am I gonna find down here?
01:41 Colorful fish and really nice coral.
01:43 It's really neat down there.
01:45 Okay, now can I touch this coral?
01:47 Well, no, you can't. I can't.
01:49 I can get close, but I can't touch it.
01:50 We got to judge a distance from it.
01:52 And you can see where you can go from here you can't,
01:54 maybe just swim around the edge of it.
01:57 Kids, we always want to do what's right.
01:58 And then you said they're gonna
02:00 maybe find some real coral shells.
02:01 Right, sure. I can't wait, trust me.
02:04 Are you ready? You bet, we're ready to go.
02:06 You're ready, kids. Let's go, let's go.
03:21 Wow. You know real life coral.
03:26 This is so cool. Kids, I hope you can see this.
03:29 Now Sparrow, tell me about this coral here
03:33 I can see it looks like it's got a flat spot inside it.
03:37 What is that on the-- That's the foot.
03:39 That's the foot. They use to crawl in.
03:43 So they crawl with that.
03:45 Okay, it almost looks like they are digging the sand there.
03:47 Well, you know, they can gird themselves on the sand also.
03:50 But now can they do it pretty quickly?
03:52 Well, it takes some time.
03:53 It takes some time, but they connect to gird themselves.
03:54 Right, especially like a predator is coming,
03:57 the seals gonna get nearer.
03:59 They go comfortably under the sand.
04:00 Under the sand, wow. Now they are so beautiful.
04:05 You know, what makes this so nice like,
04:06 is that just the natural color?
04:08 Well, it is also and it's kind of--it's his house.
04:12 So he's trying to keep it clean inside
04:14 because they live in there, you know.
04:15 That is so neat. Well, I got another question.
04:18 If we drop this thing in the water
04:22 and it drops upside down this is a heavy shell.
04:25 Can it put itself back on top?
04:27 Sure it can, it can take itself sitting back there.
04:29 It can do that? Right.
04:30 Well, I'm gonna do that right now.
04:32 Kids, I want it to go back to its home.
04:33 It's a lot of corals down there. Okay, there you go.
04:37 Okay, now, Sparrow, we was on that barrier reef
04:41 and I saw coral colors I've never seen before.
04:45 I saw purple coral. We saw what?
04:47 Orange coral. Orange, yellow.
04:50 Yellow. Brown.
04:51 Brown, Green, it was beautiful. Very colorful.
04:53 So are they all from the same family
04:55 or are they different types of corals.
04:57 I think they are different types.
04:59 They are many different types.
05:00 Many different types and we saw pretty colorful fish, too.
05:04 There was pretty cool fish down there.
05:06 Sparrow, I was just ready to grab some of that coral,
05:09 that pretty coral and you stopped me?
05:11 Why was that? I'd to do that.
05:13 There's a fire call in there, you got to be careful of
05:15 and also if you touch it, you would kill it.
05:17 Oh, I don't want kill it.
05:19 Okay, now, Sparrow,
05:20 there were such beautiful fish just so colorful.
05:23 And they were swimming in that coral,
05:24 it looked like the coral was actually protecting the fish.
05:26 Right, that also and they, you know,
05:28 they like to hide in the coral.
05:30 They like to hide there. Kids, this is just been amazing.
05:33 Sparrow, I want to thank you for going down with me.
05:35 Man, this has been a blast. Thanks a lot.
05:38 Kids, just remember, nature is God's second book.
05:41 You got to get out there and take a look.
05:43 Okay, Sparrow, let's get back to the boat.
05:57 Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound
06:05 That saved a wretch like me
06:18 I once was lost but now am found
06:26 Was blind, but now I see
06:39 Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound
06:49 That saved a wretch like me
07:00 I once was lost but now am found
07:10 Was blind, but now I see
07:21 Was blind, but now I see
07:42 It's Learning Time. It's Learning Time.
07:44 Hey, thanks for joining us today.
07:46 Hey, we got an exciting program
07:48 and I think somebody is gonna get a chance to hold the snake.
07:51 Are you ready for that? No.
07:55 No, but hey, let's go ahead
07:57 and introduce a couple of our helpers.
07:59 I've got Darien over here.
08:00 Now, Darien, I understand you like geography.
08:04 Now what part of geography do you like?
08:06 Maps. About maps.
08:08 That's very interesting. We have Luron over here.
08:10 Now, Luron, what subjects do you like best to learn?
08:15 Tornados and fire.
08:17 Tornados, wow, that's pretty exciting, isn't it?
08:20 And Gabriel, now Gabriel, what animal do you like best,
08:23 what's your favorite? A horse.
08:25 A horse, now that's exciting.
08:27 You know, I don't have a horse, but I think I've got a snake.
08:30 And we've got four other helpers.
08:31 Why don't you come on up here, guys?
08:33 Come on up here all the helpers and the three people
08:35 that I just introduced and let's make a line over here.
08:38 Let's find out what we got going right here, okay.
08:41 I will gonna make a line way over here, guys,
08:44 we're gonna go that way, okay, we gonna go that way.
08:47 Okay, don't leave me though. Okay, here we go.
08:49 I need somebody hanging around here.
08:51 How are we doing? You got it?
08:53 Okay, let's fill on in here, okay, let's fill on in.
08:55 There you go, come in here and help me.
08:57 You can turn it right around. Are you ready to hold a snake?
09:01 Yes. Are you really?
09:03 Well, today I've got a very interesting snake,
09:07 but first of all we're gonna talk about
09:08 this little object that I have here.
09:10 What is that? Golf ball.
09:12 It's a golf ball. That's right, it's a golf ball.
09:14 And this golf ball is going to represent a model.
09:17 It's actually a model sometimes in science we use models.
09:20 Well, so our planet earth is going to be the, what?
09:25 Golf ball, that's what we've got, but you know what?
09:27 I wonder how big our planet earth is
09:30 comparing it to the sun our star.
09:33 Can you show me how big you think the star is our sun,
09:36 show me 'with your hands?
09:38 You can show me too, how big is it?
09:40 Well, that's what we got the snake
09:42 for it's gonna help us to understand
09:44 how big our star, our sun really is.
09:46 Are you getting ready to hold the snake?
09:48 Okay, I'm gonna hand the head of the snake.
09:51 Whoa, whoa, I'm gonna hand the head of the--there it is.
09:53 Pass it down, pass it down.
09:55 We got this big old snake right here.
09:57 Pass him on down. Pass it down.
09:59 It's very, very long.
10:02 We got a snake of golf balls up here.
10:05 Check that out.
10:06 Here, why don't you move down this way a little bit.
10:07 Shift down a little bit here.
10:09 Look at that, wow, can you move down a little more.
10:12 We're gonna stretch the snake out just like that.
10:15 Wow, well, if our planet earth
10:17 happens to be the size of a golf ball,
10:21 then our star happens to be this long.
10:25 In fact we could take all of these golf balls
10:28 and it would be like
10:30 the whole diameter of our sun, isn't that cool?
10:33 So we could take a 109, there is a 109 of these golf balls
10:37 all tied together to make our snake of the sun,
10:41 isn't that interesting?
10:43 We could line up a 109 of these
10:45 all the way across the diameter of our sun.
10:49 Now do you think our sun is big?
10:51 Yes. Yeah.
10:52 It's that big, it's that much bigger
10:55 than our little golf ball by itself.
10:57 And God made the sun very, very large,
10:59 because it has to give us a lot of what?
11:01 What does the sun give us by the way?
11:03 Light and heat. Light and heat, that's right.
11:07 And it is about 90 to 93 million miles away
11:11 and we can still feel that heat.
11:13 God put it in a very, very special place.
11:15 Can you move the snake above your head?
11:17 Can you hold it above your heads, so everybody can see?
11:20 Look at how big that snake is.
11:23 You know, we could take this little golf ball
11:25 model of our planet earth
11:27 and we could put about 900,000 of these
11:31 right inside of our big sun, isn't that interesting?
11:34 Yes. That's right.
11:35 Or if we took the planet earth
11:37 and we melted it down into a liquid.
11:40 Then we could pour over a million
11:42 of them right inside of our star.
11:45 And God made it that big to keep us warm.
11:48 You know, God thought of everything, didn't He?
11:52 He made a star, a sun that big
11:55 compared to our little tiny earth planet,
11:58 so it keeps us warm and it gives us light
12:01 just what we need, so that we can have warmth
12:04 and we can grow plants without our star,
12:07 without our sun, without the heat and the light.
12:09 Can plants grow without heat and light?
12:12 No. No.
12:13 And God put us in a very special place.
12:16 He created planet earth just for us, isn't that neat?
12:20 Yeah. That is really cool.
12:23 And, you know, when we study about science
12:26 we learn more about our Creator God.
12:42 In times like these, you need a Savior
12:48 In times like these, you need an anchor
12:53 Be very sure, be very sure
12:58 Your anchor holds and grips the Solid Rock
13:05 This Rock is Jesus, Yes, He's the one
13:10 This Rock is Jesus, the only One
13:15 Be very sure, be very sure
13:20 Your anchor holds and grips the Solid Rock
13:27 In times like these you need the Bible
13:32 In times like these o be not idle
13:38 Be very sure, be very sure
13:43 Your anchor holds and grips the Solid Rock
13:50 When we choose to make Jesus our only Savior and friend,
13:54 we can sing these words.
13:57 In times like these, I have a Savior
14:02 In times like these, I have an anchor
14:07 I'm very sure, I'm very sure
14:13 My anchor holds and grips the Solid Rock
14:19 This Rock is Jesus, Yes, He's the one
14:24 This Rock is Jesus, the only One
14:30 I'm very sure, I'm very sure
14:35 My anchor holds and grips the Solid Rock
14:42 I'm very sure, I'm very sure
14:47 My anchor holds and grips the Solid Rock
15:07 In the year 585 BC, King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon
15:11 made an image of gold whose height was 60 cubits.
15:15 He summoned all of his officials in the kingdom
15:17 and ordered them to bow down and worship the image.
15:21 When the music began giving the signal,
15:25 all the officials bowed except
15:28 for Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego.
15:41 Come on. Get out of the way.
15:48 Oh, great king Nebuchadnezzar may you reign forever.
15:52 You, made a decree, oh, king, that when the music plays
15:56 then all the people should bow down
15:58 and worship the image that you have set up.
16:01 But these three Jews that you set up
16:04 over the providences of Babylon have chosen not to worship.
16:08 They refuse to bow down.
16:12 Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego,
16:13 after all I've done for you,
16:16 this is how you repay me
16:18 by refusing to worship the golden image that I set up.
16:23 Nevertheless, I'm a fair king.
16:25 Perhaps, you did not fully understand my command,
16:29 so I'll give you one more chance to obey me.
16:32 The next time the music plays when you hear it,
16:36 you will bow to it and you'll worship.
16:39 Do this and all would be made well,
16:42 but should you refuse
16:45 I will have you sent to the fiery furnace.
16:48 And we'll see how your God can deliver you from my hand.
16:54 Oh, Nebuchadnezzar, we need not to defend ourselves
16:56 before you in this matter.
16:58 If we are thrown into the fiery furnace
17:01 our God is able to save us.
17:04 He will rescue us from your hands, O king.
17:08 You think your God can save you from my fire?
17:12 Yes, our God is all powerful.
17:14 We will not blaspheme our God,
17:17 but even if He does not save us.
17:22 We will never serve your gods
17:24 or worship this image that you have set up.
17:27 But treachery, you, ungrateful swine.
17:32 Arak? Yes, my king.
17:34 Heat up the furnace seven times hotter
17:35 than what it normally is.
17:37 Bind these men and get the strongest men you can find
17:41 and throw them into the fire.
17:43 Soldiers, to the furnace.
17:47 We'll see what their blasphemies fail them against our gods.
18:10 Arak? Yes, my king.
18:13 Did we not throw three men into the burning furnace?
18:16 Yes, your majesty, only three.
18:18 Look, look. I see four men walking around.
18:22 The fourth man, the fourth man
18:27 looks like the Son of God.
18:31 Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego,
18:33 servants of the most high God,
18:35 come out, come out.
18:38 It's a miracle. It's a miracle...
18:41 Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego,
18:43 He truly is a powerful God.
18:46 There's nothing burned on you.
18:48 Only the ropes that bound your hands have been singed off.
18:51 Oh, He truly is a most high God.
18:56 He has delivered you.
18:58 You disobeyed your king,
19:01 you refused to worship other gods
19:05 and for that I decree should any other nation
19:10 or language say anything about the God
19:12 of Shadrach Meshach and Abednego,
19:15 they shall be cut to pieces.
19:18 And their houses will be made into rubble,
19:21 for He is the one true God.
19:42 All to Jesus I surrender
19:47 All to Him I freely give
19:53 I will ever love and trust Him
19:58 In His presence daily live
20:03 I surrender all I surrender all
20:14 All to Thee, my blessed Savior
20:19 I surrender all
20:25 All to Jesus I surrender
20:30 Make me, Savior, wholly Thine
20:35 Let me feel thy Holy Spirit
20:41 Truly know that Thou art mine
20:46 I surrender all I surrender all
20:56 All to Thee, my blessed Savior
21:02 I surrender all
21:07 All to Jesus I surrender
21:13 Now I feel the sacred flame
21:18 Oh, the joy of full salvation
21:23 Glory, glory, to His Name
21:29 I surrender all I surrender all
21:39 All to Thee, my blessed Savior
21:44 I surrender all
21:58 Hi, boys and girls.
22:00 It's time for Miss Brenda's book of the day.
22:02 And today's book is an exciting book
22:05 by Bradley Booth "Miracles of the Mantle.'
22:09 Nathan's adventures with the prophet Elijah
22:11 would take him places and show him things
22:13 that he never expected.
22:15 Floating axe heads, oil that never ran out,
22:18 bitter water turned sweet, even wild bears.
22:23 You are not gonna want to miss this book
22:25 "Miracles of the Mantle."
22:28 Something else that you won't want to miss is the letters
22:30 that I have to share with you today.
22:32 Boys and girls, I love getting all the letters
22:35 that you send me and I especially love it
22:37 when you write and tell me what you do to share Jesus.
22:40 So if you have never written to Miss Brenda before,
22:43 why don't you take time today and sit down
22:45 and think about all the things that you've done to share Jesus
22:48 and write and tell me about it.
22:49 And that way boys and girls around the world
22:52 can have ideas of how they can witness for Jesus, too.
22:56 And if I don't read your letter on Kids' Time,
22:59 I will put it on our Kids' Time website.
23:01 And if you put a picture with it we can put the picture on, too.
23:05 And you have a wonderful way to share Jesus just doing that.
23:08 Well, let's look and see what some of the letters
23:10 I have today to share with you.
23:13 There is one right here from Saint Lucia
23:15 and I love it when you send the pictures,
23:17 'cause I like to see what you look like.
23:19 And we have one right here. Let me read this letter.
23:23 And I'll put your picture up here.
23:26 She is holding some kind of a certificate it looks like.
23:28 "Dear Miss Brenda my name is Shantelle and I'm 13 years old.
23:33 And I love watching Kids' Time because I learn so much
23:36 about Jesus and it teaches me your songs too."
23:39 It said "I would like to join your Bible study club.
23:42 I share Jesus at school, home, even in my church.
23:47 My best times are Praise Time,
23:48 cooking and the science with Ben Roy.
23:51 And I would like to have an activity book
23:53 for my brother and also one for myself
23:55 and we want the Bible lessons.
23:57 Please pray that we will be able to share Jesus with the world.
24:02 Your's truly." And then it has Crystal.
24:05 So I don't know why its signed Crystal
24:08 and it looked like Shantelle earlier,
24:09 but Crystal, I'm so glad you wrote to me
24:14 and I want to encourage you to keep sharing Jesus
24:16 and we will give the Bible lessons out to you, okay.
24:19 Let's see this one is from the Dominican.
24:22 And Miss Brenda is actually been to your country
24:24 and you have a beautiful country.
24:27 Miss Brenda was a missionary nurse there for about a month
24:30 and had a wonderful time there.
24:33 Oh, we have another picture and this is a little picture.
24:36 Let's see if I can hold that up for you where can see it.
24:40 Says "Dear Miss Brenda how are you, I hope you are fine.
24:43 My name is Norma and I'm 10 years old.
24:46 And I will be 11 in October.
24:49 I live in the Commonwealth of Dominica.
24:51 I shared Jesus by helping my family and the elderly
24:55 and by praying everyday for people.
24:58 I love watching your shows
25:00 and then thing I like best is Story Time
25:03 with all the Bible stories.
25:05 Please sign me up for Kids Club, from Norma."
25:08 Well, Norma, thank you for your letter.
25:10 We'll sign you up for Kids Club lesson,
25:12 so that you can start getting them right away.
25:14 And keep watching Kids' Time.
25:16 And one way that you can share Jesus in your country
25:18 is encourage your friends to watch Kids' Time too
25:21 and that way they will get to learn about Jesus.
25:23 Isn't that a good idea? I think we have one more here.
25:27 Let's--time, it's from Stoughton, Wisconsin
25:31 and it looks like it's from Ellie
25:33 and let's see what Ellie says.
25:35 And oh, look at Ellie drew a picture right here.
25:38 It says dad, mom, me and I don't know what that says
25:44 right there, but Abby.
25:46 And she did a little picture right here.
25:48 Says "Dear Miss Brenda my name is Ellie"
25:51 it says "I'm a Christian and I love to draw."
25:54 I can see that, very nice job, too.
25:56 "I go to church every week, I always listen to my teachers
26:00 and I try to obey.
26:01 One of my favorite teachers is Miss Shelley.
26:04 Says "And by the way I would like to join Kids Club.
26:08 I saw you at my camp meeting each summer and I love watching
26:13 Kids' Time, I've really enjoyed it a lot."
26:17 It said "see my picture, my family.
26:19 Love, Ellie."
26:20 Well, Ellie thank you for that.
26:23 And I'm glad I got a chance to meet you in person.
26:26 Boys and girls, I want to encourage you to do
26:28 something for Jesus every single day.
26:30 Let somebody know that Jesus loves them, okay.
26:33 Well, until next time remember its Kids Time to share Jesus.
26:54 Kids' time
27:16 Kids' time Kids' time Kids' time Kids' time
