00:02 Yeah. We're gonna be late. 00:04 It's time to share there's a world out there 00:08 Looking for a friend like Jesus 00:12 It's time to share there's a world out there 00:16 Let's tell them that He loves us so 00:20 Let's tell them that He loves us so 00:24 Kids' Time, Kids' Time Kids' Time, Kids' Time 00:31 Hi, boys and girls. 00:32 Did you know the Bible is full of stories about heroes? 00:35 That's right, people who did brave and amazing things. 00:39 Everyone loves heroes. 00:41 The heroes in the Bible all have something in common. 00:44 Do you know what it is? 00:45 It isn't their courage, not their strength 00:47 and not even how smart they were. 00:49 Bible stories were about real people like you and me. 00:53 They didn't have superpowers. 00:54 In fact, they were weak. 00:56 That's right, they were weak. 00:57 And some of them were even scared. 01:00 But they loved and followed God. 01:02 That's what they had in common. 01:04 Boys and girls, even if you feel scared or weak, 01:07 you can do amazing things when you know 01:10 and follow our amazing God. 01:13 Well, right now I want you to get ready for Nature Time. 01:24 Hi, boys and girls. Welcome to Nature Time. 01:27 I'm having a fantastic time here on the Grand Cayman Islands. 01:30 And today we're gonna be talking about 01:32 something that I know is your favorite. 01:34 It's Ranger Dwight's favorite food, fruit. 01:36 And we have Frankie Smith today with us. 01:38 Frankie, you have one of the largest fruit productions 01:42 here on the islands, is that correct? 01:43 Yes. And you grow your own fruit. 01:45 There are so many things I've never even seen before. 01:47 Tell us about them. 01:49 Well, over here we have the genip, it looks like a grape. 01:52 Okay. It grows on big tree. 01:54 All of the fruits here grow on trees 01:56 except for these, the passion. 01:59 They grow on a vine. 02:00 Wow. Now this right here, 02:02 tell us about this right here, this fruit, 02:04 'cause you told me if this wasn't just right, 02:06 it could be dangerous eating it. Yes. 02:08 This is the ackee. It's a local dish from Jamaica. 02:13 Okay. It has to be split like this on the tree. 02:17 Okay, and if it's not is it-- It has a poison to it. 02:21 Oh, it has a poison, so you have to wait till you see that split. 02:23 And this right here, that's a seed is that correct? 02:26 That's a seed. Okay. 02:28 You remove the seed and it's ready for eating. 02:32 Okay. I've never taste anything like this before, kids. 02:36 This is pretty good. 02:37 Okay, now let's talk about something. 02:40 You said you had something you could do 02:41 special when you open something up 02:43 that we can't do in the States. The mango. 02:45 A mango, okay. Now you--mangoes, kids. 02:49 Okay, now what do we do? 02:57 Look at that, kids, isn't that awesome? 02:59 Yeah. Isn't that neat? 03:01 All right, that's cool. Okay, and I know that-- 03:04 I've been told before that when you eat a mango, 03:07 many times you need to be in the bathtub, 03:08 it's so messy. But this is neat, the way this is. 03:11 Well. It is great. 03:15 Okay, now what else have we got? 03:17 We got, we got these bananas, 03:19 but these are not your normal bananas? 03:20 No they're plantains. Plantains, okay. 03:22 Now tell me about these plantains. 03:24 Well, you have to peel them and fry them or boil them. 03:27 So you don't eat them like normal--like a normal banana. 03:29 No, no. Wow, kids, that is so exciting. 03:31 Now this is something I really want you to talk about. 03:35 I want to bring it over here this is called a... 03:37 Breadfruit. A breadfruit. 03:39 Now it doesn't look like any bread I've ever seen. 03:41 So what is a breadfruit? 03:43 Well, it's similar to the potato, Irish potato. 03:46 Okay. Idaho potato-- Like a potato, okay. 03:49 And it's used here in that form 03:52 instead of potato--it's used. We peel them-- 03:54 So now, do they eat this fresh or what you do with this thing? 03:57 Yes, well, you can eat it when it's ripened also, 04:01 but it's sweet at that stage. Okay. Wow. 04:05 You take it from the tree, you slice it, you peel it, 04:10 you take out the core in the middle of it. 04:12 Okay. And then you fry it-- 04:14 you deep fry it and you use a little salt. 04:16 Is that kind of a favorite on the islands here? 04:18 On the island. Now have you kids ever had that? 04:21 Yeah. You like it, you like it? 04:22 Yeah. It's great, is it? Well, okay. 04:25 Now I want you to take that star fruit 04:27 and cut it for the kids. 04:28 I want to see what that looks like, 04:30 why they call it a star fruit. 04:31 I think that's amazing. You were showing that earlier. 04:35 Now watch this, kids, this is so awesome. 04:39 Look at that. Look at it. 04:40 It looks just like a star 04:42 and it's good tasting too, correct? 04:44 Right, wonderful. All of this looks great. 04:46 Wonderful. And you just cut and slice it. 04:48 And that makes it look it star all the more. 04:50 Wow, I'm gonna give one to you. 04:54 Okay, now they always want me to taste this stuff, 04:58 I get to be the one that taste this great fruit. 05:00 I love fruits. That is awesome stuff. 05:05 Now you also have juices. 05:08 Do you make your own fruit juices? 05:10 Absolutely. And what's this here? 05:12 What does this consist of? 05:13 That's fruit punch. Fruit punch. 05:15 Consist of four different mangoes, 05:17 papaya, passion, star fruits, guava. 05:23 Well, I want to taste some. 05:24 I want to taste some of this stuff. 05:26 I'll be glad to serve. 05:29 Kids, this is so exciting. 05:32 Now this is--tell me again, what is it? 05:35 It's papaya-- Papaya, mango, star fruit. 05:39 Star fruit. Passion, guava. 05:44 Wow, okay, kids, you ready? 05:49 Awesome. Now you kids have any of this stuff before? 05:52 Yeah. Yeah, okay. That is great. 05:55 Now one more thing, I notice 05:57 that's a plum you said. Yes, sir. 05:58 I've never seen a plum like that in the United States. 06:00 What is that? That's our Cayman plum or July plum. 06:03 It's a July plum. Now why is it called-- 06:05 does it come out in July? Come out in July. 06:07 Wow. Okay, July plum or Cayman plum. 06:12 Okay. This is sweet. 06:17 Okay, Frankie, we've got to go, 06:19 but I am so glad that you came today 06:20 and explained about all of these different and unique fruits. 06:23 Kids, remember nature's God's second book. 06:26 Get out there and take a look. 06:28 This is so awesome, isn't it? 06:39 I may never march in the infantry 06:42 Ride in the cavalry Shoot the artillery 06:45 I may never fly o'er the enemy 06:49 But I'm in the Lord's army 06:52 I'm in the Lord's army Yes, sir 06:56 I'm in the Lord's army Yes, sir 06:59 I may never march in the infantry 07:02 Ride in the cavalry Shoot the artillery 07:06 I may never fly o'er the enemy 07:09 But I'm in the Lord's army Yes, sir 07:19 It's Learning Time! 07:21 Hey, thanks for joining us today. 07:23 Hey, we got a little messy experiment today. 07:25 And I've got some people 07:27 that are gonna help me get messy. 07:28 Let's see who they are. Jonathan, do you have any pets? 07:32 Yes, I have some dogs and some cats. 07:34 Hey, it's nice to have pets. And we have Alana. 07:36 Now, Alana, what's your favorite color? 07:38 My favorite color is pink. 07:40 Hey, pink is a good color too, isn't it? 07:42 And we have Noella. 07:44 Noella, what's the favorite thing you'd like to do? 07:47 Play with play doh. Hey, that's fun to do, too. 07:50 Hey, come on up here, because we're gonna 07:51 get a little messy today. 07:53 Come on up here by my table. 07:55 And let's see what we got. 07:56 Now have you ever washed your hands? 07:58 Yes. Has anybody ever told you 08:00 that you probably ought to wash your hands? Yes. 08:03 Yeah, that happens sometimes. 08:04 So I tell you what we're gonna do right here is, 08:06 we're gonna try to wash our hands without soap. 08:08 Is that a good idea? No. 08:10 Well, I think some of you try to do that 08:12 and it really doesn't get much-- clean, hardly at all. 08:16 Isn't that interesting? 08:17 So I tell you what we're doing here, 08:18 why don't you trade places with Alana 08:20 because I'm gonna need you over here. 08:22 Okay, let's use your hands 'cause I'm gonna 08:24 pour some oil on your hands. 08:26 Okay, just a little bit oil just like that. 08:27 Can you rub that into your hands, you know, like this. 08:29 Just rub it like this. 08:31 Okay, have you ever got oil on your hands? 08:32 Yes. Hard to get off, isn't it? 08:34 Yes. So here, let's try this here, Alana, 08:38 why don't you go ahead and try to wash that off with water. 08:41 Hey, why don't you put your safety glasses on, guys? 08:43 Can I put your safety glasses on you right here? 08:46 There you go, because we're using some water and-- 08:49 oh I don't want to stick it in your ear. 08:50 Cool. All right, now take them out and--are they clean? 08:55 No. Feel them. Are they all oily? 08:56 Yes. Does water take oil off our hands? No. 09:00 Well, sometimes water can't take dirt off our hands. 09:02 So what do we use? Soap. We use some soap. 09:04 Hey, let me squirt a little dab of soap right there. 09:07 Okay, why don't you go ahead and swish that around. 09:09 Okay, there you go. It could be a little messy right here. 09:12 And then you can rinse it off in there. 09:14 Okay, when you think it's ready-- 09:15 and go ahead and rub your hands. 09:17 You know, it's nice when you wash your hands, 09:18 you need to rub because friction is really good for cleaning. 09:21 Okay, all right, feel better? 09:23 And here why don't you go and dry your hands off right here? 09:26 And let me check your hands. Let's check it out. 09:29 Let's see how your hands feel. 09:30 Oh, it feels just like before. How cool is that? 09:32 Hey, let's try this. 09:34 Now what we got right here is we've got little jars. 09:37 And can your pour that water right into there? 09:41 Pour the green right inside. 09:43 Can you pour your green in there? 09:44 That's just water with food coloring 09:46 and it's so we can see a little bit better. 09:48 Then we're gonna have them pour the other little cups inside. 09:51 Go ahead and pour the other cups. 09:52 The other cups is oil. Does oil and water mix? 09:56 No. No, they don't mix very well. 09:59 Look, can you see the separation? Yes. 10:01 I can see some separation, so hey, let's put the lid on. 10:04 Why don't you grab your lid and we're gonna go ahead 10:06 and put the lid on right here. 10:07 A little hard to do. 10:09 And so let me try to get this lid down here-- 10:12 oh there we go. All right, all right. 10:14 Let me turn this around for you. 10:16 Okay, 'cause then it will seal. 10:17 There's a little seal on these little lids right here. 10:20 What we're gonna have them do 10:21 is we're gonna have them pick those up, 10:23 pick those up and just shake them a bit for us. 10:25 And the oil and water-- should the oil and water mix? 10:28 No. Okay, that's good. 10:31 Okay, set them down right here, so we can see them. 10:33 And what do we got right here? 10:35 We have oil in water and oil in water 10:37 and you know what, they are not gonna mix very well. 10:39 We ought to be able to see 10:40 a little bit of separation right here. 10:42 So what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna open this up. 10:44 Now what we did with Alana's hands was-- 10:46 what did we have her put on her hands? 10:48 Soap. We had her put on some soap. 10:50 So I'm gonna squirt a little bit of the soap in here. 10:53 Put the lid back on-- well, the lid falls right off. 10:56 Oh, back over here, just like this, okay? 11:00 And now I'm gonna take that and-- 11:02 can you shake that up real good for us? 11:04 Shake it up just really, really good. Cool. 11:07 Just like that and put it down on the table for us. 11:09 Now can you see some separation over here? Yes. 11:12 I can see the oil and the water separating 11:15 and I can see some foam right there, 11:16 but you know what? 11:18 This is going to stay all mixed up 11:20 for a very long period of time. 11:22 Now that's why we use soap. 11:23 The soap is a long molecule 11:26 and on the end of those molecules it's hydrophilic. 11:29 It loves water on the other end 11:31 it's hydrophobic and it doesn't like water. 11:34 So the soap sticks to water and it sticks to our dirt. 11:38 And so when we wash our hands the water 11:41 and the soap mixture will get the dirt off of our hands. 11:44 Isn't that cool? Yes. 11:46 So you got to use soap to clean your hands, don't you? 11:49 Yes. And you know what, you know, 11:50 sometimes our lives are dirty, aren't they? 11:52 You know, the Bible says that we're all sinners, aren't we? 11:55 Yes. Yeah, and you know what, 11:56 who can cleanse us from our sins? Jesus. 12:00 Jesus, Jesus is like the soap, isn't He? 12:02 And He gets our lives all clean 12:04 and that's a wonderful thing. 12:06 How many of you want-- do you want to be clean 12:08 when Jesus looks at you? Yes. 12:10 He can look at us and we can be clean 12:11 because we accept Him 12:13 and He will take our sins away from us. 12:14 And that is so cool. 12:16 Well, you know, when we learn more about science 12:19 we learn more about our creator, God. 12:33 Purah, you look troubled. 12:38 What's bothering you? 12:40 Gideon, may I speak freely? Yes, of course you can. 12:44 I'm concerned about the size of our forces. 12:48 When you initially sent out the call 22,000 men answered. 12:53 But then you sent 12,000 men home 12:56 because they were frightened and afraid. 13:00 That leaves us with 10,000 men. 13:03 Is 10,000 men going to be enough for us 13:05 to defeat the Midianite armies? 13:08 God has told me that even 10,000 men is too many, Purah. 13:12 Too many? How can 10,000 be too many? 13:16 Because God spoke to me in a dream 13:19 and He said that He will win the battle, 13:21 not us, not by our might 13:24 because He deserves the glory not us. 13:27 So how will we know when we have enough men? 13:30 Because God told me to gather the men 13:33 by the water's edge 13:34 and He told me to separate them into two groups. 13:37 The men that leisurely drink the water are the ones 13:40 that I'm gonna send home. Send home more men? 13:43 But the one's that don't get on their knees to drink 13:46 and lap the water like a dog 13:47 and keep a watchful eye out for the enemy 13:49 are the ones that God has chosen for His army. 13:54 Gideon, I've served you long and I trust you, 13:58 but how can you be sure that God is with you? 14:03 Because of this. This fleece? 14:07 This isn't just any fleece, Purah. 14:10 I tested God with this fleece. 14:12 And I said, Lord, if the fleece is wet 14:16 and the ground around it is dry 14:18 then I will know you'll be with us. 14:20 And by morning, I could squeeze 14:22 a whole bowl full of water out of this fleece. 14:25 And the ground was dry. 14:27 And I really had to make to sure, 14:29 so I asked God not to be angry with me 14:32 and I tested Him one more time and I said, Lord, 14:34 if the ground is wet and fleece is dry 14:38 then I will know you'll be with us. 14:40 And not a drop of water was on this fleece. 14:43 And that's why this right here is my miracle fleece. 14:48 Gideon, the men have gathered 14:50 and are waiting by the water as requested. 14:54 Come, Purah. It doesn't matter 14:56 how many are left by the end of this test, 14:59 because the battle is the Lord's. 15:13 You there, soldier, what is your name? 15:16 Jedediah from the tribe of Benjamin. 15:18 You are dismissed. Go home to your wife and family. 15:22 Yes, sir. 15:35 You there, what is your name? 15:38 I am Amos from the tribe of Judah. 15:41 You have been chosen to join the Lord's army. 15:44 Go and report to the rest of Gideon's camp. 15:49 Amos of Judah is the last soldier to be chosen. 15:52 We have no other men left. 16:03 How many is that, Purah? Three hundred. 16:06 How can we possibly win this battle with only 300 soldiers? 16:11 We can't, but God can. 16:17 Purah, God has impressed me 16:19 that we spy out the enemy's camp tonight. 16:23 Are you with me? Yes, I'm with you. 16:26 You are a good and faithful servant. 16:30 Come, let us prepare for our mission tonight. 16:43 Purah, we made it past the guards. 16:45 Shh, shh. I think I hear something. 16:48 One of them came out of nowhere 16:51 and rolled upon the ground. 16:52 Listen, listen. I hear something. 16:54 And hit--of right in the tent and the tent just went flat. 16:57 So let me get this right. In your dream 16:59 that you just had, you're looking at-- 17:01 you're standing over there and you looking out at the plain 17:04 and you see this loaf of barley bread? 17:08 And so it rolls into our camp 17:09 and it goes over there and he hits that tent 17:12 and hits the main support beam in the entire tent collapses? 17:20 This can only mean one thing, that the entire Midian host, 17:25 our whole army is gonna be delivered in the hand-- 17:28 into the hand of Gideon's God. 17:33 This could be our last night on earth. 17:36 In a few hours, Gideon could attack our whole army. 17:42 Gideon, you were right, God is with us. 17:46 Yes, God is with us. 17:51 Let's hurry back to camp 17:52 and tell the rest of the soldiers. 18:03 Purah, go gather the men on the east side of the camp. 18:09 Gather around, men, gather around. 18:13 I want my whole army to hear what I have to say. 18:18 Men of Israel, do not fear for God has shown me 18:22 that tonight he would deliver our enemies into our hands 18:27 for the battle is not ours, but the Lord's. 18:31 To God be the glory! To God be the glory! 18:34 To God be the glory! To God be the glory! 18:38 To God be the glory! To God be the glory! 18:53 What a mighty God we serve 18:58 What a mighty God we serve 19:04 Angels bow before Him Heaven and earth adore Him 19:09 What a mighty God we serve 19:14 What a mighty God we serve 19:20 What a mighty God we serve 19:25 Angels bow before Him Heaven and earth adore Him 19:30 What a mighty God we serve 19:36 What a mighty God we serve 19:41 What a mighty God we serve 19:47 Angels bow before Him Heaven and earth adore Him 19:52 What a mighty God we serve 19:58 What a mighty God we serve 20:15 Hi, boys and girls, it's time for Miss Brenda's Book of the-- 20:20 but where is my book? 20:21 Aha, I don't have a single book today 20:25 and that's because we have a very special guest 20:28 who brought lots of books. 20:30 Let me introduce you to someone 20:32 who really doesn't need an introduction, 20:34 because it's our own Ranger Dwight. 20:36 Thank you, Ranger Dwight, for being here. 20:38 It's great to be here, Miss Brenda. 20:40 And I'm excited, because we have 20:41 some neat books that I want to share with the kids today. 20:43 Well, I'm excited too and I think 20:45 we should tell our boys and girls 20:47 though that you are Ranger Dwight 20:48 that they see on Nature Time. That's correct. 20:50 But you also have another job, right? 20:53 Some times I really love Kids Time so much-- 20:55 and Ranger Time, Ranger Dwight. 20:57 I love being out with the animals but, 20:59 yes, I do have to have another job. 21:01 And that's working at The Review and Herald. 21:02 That's right. And what do you do 21:04 for The Review and Herald? 21:05 Well, at The Review and Herald, we print a lot of books 21:07 and we market them and sell them. 21:09 And I'm the vice president, 21:10 one of the vice presidents at Review and Herald. 21:12 And I'm in charge of all the sales 21:14 and the marketing that get these precious books out. 21:16 So kids can enjoy great stories. 21:18 That's right, and Review and Herald 21:20 is an incredible publishing company 21:23 that has been around for a very long time. 21:25 More than 100 years. 21:26 Isn't that amazing? That's a long time. 21:28 And I actually, boys and girls, 21:29 I have been to the Review and Herald 21:31 and I got a tour of their entire facility 21:34 and I met your president Mark Thomas. Yes. 21:37 And we had a wonderful time out there 21:39 and it's a pretty big organization. 21:41 It's big, it's a big place. 21:42 It has all those printing presses 21:44 and I got to see how the color process worked 21:46 and it was pretty awesome. 21:48 But one of the things that I really love about 21:51 where you work is that you do not-- 21:53 you don't just prints things for adults. 21:55 That's right. You have a lot of stuff for kids. 21:57 A lot, 'cause we love the kids because kids grow up someday. 22:00 That's right. And they are future leaders of tomorrow. 22:04 That's right. And you have with you-- 22:05 you brought some of the books with you. 22:07 I did. And I'm excited especially about this one. 22:10 Tell us about what you have in your hand? 22:12 Well, I always like to start at the beginning. 22:15 And this is a story about beginnings, 22:17 in the Bible Adam and Eve. 22:18 And, Miss Brenda, I want you to grab this book, 22:20 that's good it's got Adam and Eve, 22:21 and there's Noah and the ark, tremendous book. 22:24 Well, I want to tell you, boys and girls, 22:26 something about this book, too. 22:28 There is actually several of these books out. 22:31 There's one on Adam and Eve, there's one on Abraham, 22:35 there's one on Joseph, and also Jacob 22:38 and there's something really special about these books 22:40 that I just personally want to tell you. 22:42 They were written by somebody very near and dear to my heart, 22:45 a very close friend of mine Ruth Redding Brand. 22:48 I've known her for many years and, in fact, 22:51 when Kids' Time first started, 22:53 Ruth Redding Brand wrote all my opens 22:55 for Miss Brenda for Kids' Time. 22:57 And volunteered all her time, 22:59 she is an incredible author and writer 23:02 and also something about her that you may not know, 23:05 we attended the same church together. 23:07 And I was friends with not only her and her family, 23:10 but her precious mom and so we have-- 23:13 we go way back and I can tell you one thing, 23:15 I helped Ruth when she was writing these, 23:17 I was help-- I helped pray. 23:19 That's how I helped her. 23:21 I was praying for her in the project. 23:22 And one thing about Ruth, 23:23 she really did her homework on these books. Oh, she did. 23:26 She went over to the Holy Land 23:28 and she went over and researched. 23:30 I know that she really, really researched these books. 23:33 So tell me--tell me a little bit about these books, 23:39 'cause these aren't your typical, just stories, 23:41 that you read about Adam and Eve. 23:43 There is a lot of knowledge 23:46 that you get about this Bible story 23:47 and the Bible characters when you buy these books. 23:49 Well, Miss Brenda, what's exciting about these 23:51 that I love and I know the kids will love even more, 23:55 is they actually have facts. 23:56 That's why she went over to the Holy Lands 23:58 not just to write a story, 23:59 but to get some facts to make these Bible stories 24:02 come alive with the Bible. 24:04 The pictures are awesome, aren't they? 24:05 Oh, I was gonna say, 24:07 can you see these pictures, boys and girls? 24:08 They are just amazing. I mean, just amazing. 24:11 Just think, Miss Brenda, heaven's gonna be 24:13 even better than that. I can't wait. 24:15 See all those animals? 24:16 Our human minds can't even comprehend that, can we? 24:18 You know, there is just-- and so there is a-- 24:21 the stories are here, the wonderful stories, 24:22 but then there is also facts about the stories. 24:24 Exactly, there is facts about them and little-- 24:27 just like a single page and then there is stories in here 24:30 that are for even younger children 24:32 and some for older and then there is even stuff for us 24:35 adults that we can read, 24:36 so it's kind of like a real family affair. 24:37 Yes, it is. Exciting books, I love them. 24:39 I really do, too. And I can tell you, 24:41 I know first hand the work that Ruth 24:43 put into these and tremendous amount of research 24:46 and prayer that went into every one to these books. 24:48 Yes. I love them. 24:50 I wish there was one on every single story. 24:52 I think one of my favorites is Joseph. 24:54 I really love Joseph. But then-- 24:55 I say that, but then I start looking to the other-- 24:58 well, maybe this one's my favorite. 24:59 Well, maybe that one's my favorite. 25:01 I think I just have to admit that I love them all. 25:04 You got to get them all, Miss Brenda. 25:05 That's right, I just love them all. 25:07 Now you brought something else 25:08 with you, too, some other books. 25:09 I did. This is called "Fish Don't Need Snorkels." 25:13 Now that's kind of funny. But anyways I know that you-- 25:16 I think know the author of that book also. 25:18 I do, I absolutely do. 25:19 This author, this is "Fish Don't Need Snorkels" 25:22 written by Karen Collum. 25:24 She is an Australian author. She lives in Australia. 25:26 And I absolutely love this author. 25:29 She has written books for my own book series 25:32 "Miss Brenda's bed time stories." 25:34 And she is one of my favorite contributors. 25:36 She is given me stories for the books. 25:39 And she writes so beautifully. She brings the story alive. 25:42 This particular book is geared for tiny tots. 25:44 So it's younger-- more for the younger audience 25:47 than I usually share. 25:48 But she is such an incredible author 25:49 and I want to thank Review and Herald 25:51 for thinking about our little ones. 25:53 And you also have an-- 25:54 Another one that I know that you'll like 25:56 and the kids will like especially. 25:57 Yes, "Looking After God's World" by Karen Holford 26:01 and, boys and girls, guess what, 26:02 Karen Holford is another friend 26:04 of Miss Brenda's that has written for 26:06 "Miss Brenda's bed time stories." 26:07 So she's got stories contributed 26:09 and she has her own book. 26:10 And this again is written for the younger audience. 26:12 And "Looking After God's World" by Karen Holford. 26:16 You're gonna love it. You really, truly are. 26:18 Now, Miss Brenda, I've read this book personally myself. 26:21 This is about the great controversy which-- 26:23 the great controversies between Christ and Satan, 26:26 You know, we're kind of the tiebreakers. 26:28 Yes. Because, you know, 26:29 you get that little voice that says, 26:31 "Don't do that, it's best to do this." 26:32 And you got the other voice said, 26:33 "Oh, it doesn't matter anyway." 26:35 Right. Well, that's the great controversy-- 26:36 It's always the fight between good and evil. 26:38 Good and evil absolutely, and that's what this book is about. 26:40 It's just absolutely tremendous and I love it. 26:43 It's got about history, about Martin Luther 26:45 way back in the-- about 500 years ago. 26:48 But it's so easy that even I can, 26:50 even Ranger Dwight can understand that. 26:52 So "War of the Invisible." That's right. It's great. 26:54 That's a pretty cool title, isn't it? It is. 26:56 And one more, I think we have time 26:58 real quick to show what you brought. 26:59 This is the "Guide's Greatest Rescue Stories," 27:02 you know, the junior guide 27:03 that the Review and Herald publishes. 27:04 These are the greatest stories on rescue. 27:07 It's amazing. I love it. 27:08 And this is written by Lori Peckham 27:09 who, boys and girls, is another friend of Miss Brenda's. 27:12 You know them all. I didn't even know 27:14 that when I brought these books here. 27:15 I love Lori and you're gonna love her exciting stories. 27:17 Well, Ranger Dwight, thank you so much 27:19 for coming and being with us today. 27:21 And thank you, Review and Herald, 27:23 I think for what you do. Yes, I'll do that. 27:24 Boys and girls, I want you to remember 27:26 that wherever you go, whatever you do, 27:28 it's "Kids' Time" to share Jesus. 27:54 Kids' Time 28:16 Kids' Time, Kids' Time Kids' Time, Kids' Time 28:24 Kids' Time |
