00:01 It's almost time for Kids Time. We're gonna be late.
00:04 It's time to share there's a world out there
00:08 Looking for a friend like Jesus
00:12 It's time to share there's a world out there
00:16 Let's tell them that He loves us so
00:20 Let's tell them that He loves us so
00:24 Kids Time, Kids Time Kids Time, Kids Time
00:31 Hi boys and girls, have you taken the time
00:34 to read the Ten Commandments lately?
00:36 They are found in your Bible in Exodus Chapter 20.
00:39 It's a good idea to read them often,
00:41 so you can remember the things that are most important to God.
00:44 He want us to love him and to love others
00:47 and that's what the Ten Commandments are all about.
00:49 One of the Commandments says, "Thou shalt not steal,"
00:52 that simply means don't take anything
00:55 that doesn't belong to you.
00:56 Now I suppose that could mean toys or cars or other things
01:00 that you can see and touch and feel.
01:02 When you take those things, that's pretty easy
01:04 to give them back and say, I'm sorry, and you should.
01:08 But I think the Commandment means even more than that.
01:11 Do you know that it's possible to steal things
01:13 that you can't see or touch or feel,
01:16 and those things are a lot harder to give back.
01:19 I know it sounds strange, but it's true.
01:22 And our Bible story today is about a man
01:24 who stole a "Thank you."
01:27 That's right, he stole a "Thank you"
01:29 that belonged to God.
01:31 And he tried to keep it for himself,
01:33 and he even lied about it.
01:35 We'll find out in our Bible story today, what happened
01:38 to the man who stole a "Thank you."
01:40 But right now let's get ready for Nature Time.
01:52 Hi kids, welcome to Nature Time.
01:55 We're doing something really fun today.
01:56 And I'm with one of my Kids Time friends, Sara.
01:59 How are you, Sara?
02:00 Good, Looks like you got your hands full.
02:02 What are you flying today?
02:04 A kite, A kind of a kite, it looks like
02:06 there is what is that a Ladybug Kite?
02:08 Yeah, Well, they make all kinds of kites, don't they?
02:10 I tell you, kites are fun to fly,
02:12 and then I'm gonna to ask you couple of questions
02:14 to you kids, and also to Sara, and now Sara.
02:16 This might sound simple but
02:18 how is that kites stay up in the air?
02:21 By the wind, By the wind, right.
02:23 That was pretty easy, wasn't it? Yeah.
02:25 Now kids, I'm gonna ask you what's the difference
02:27 between air and wind?
02:28 Can you tell me that, Sara?
02:31 Air is more soft and wind is harder.
02:34 That's it, I kind of say, it's gonna like bread and toast.
02:37 What's the difference bread and toast?
02:39 Same thing only one's toasted up.
02:41 This is pretty cool, that is a neat kite,
02:44 but you know what, there's a lot of things
02:47 about flying a kite in the wind,
02:49 but what I want to talk to you today about kids is,
02:53 what is wind, how does it work,
02:55 and some facts about wind.
02:56 Pretty exciting to me.
02:58 You know what, in fact I'm gonna ask Sara,
03:00 'cause she has been really good, I've been asking her
03:02 questions, she knows a lot of these,
03:03 and I bet you too, you do too, kids.
03:05 So what is some of the most destructible winds
03:08 that you know of?
03:09 Hurricanes and tornadoes.
03:10 Hurricanes and tornadoes, some of you kids
03:13 might have even seen a tornado,
03:15 I had before, now you know what.
03:17 I was looking up on the Internet, a tornado can have
03:20 such speeds of 300 miles an hour, in fact, they've said,
03:25 they've even, said that it go up to 500 miles an hour.
03:27 And I've seen tornadoes with cars in the trees,
03:30 can you imagine that.
03:32 I bet you've seen some destructive power
03:33 of tornadoes, haven't you.
03:35 And hurricanes will do all sorts of damage.
03:38 But you know something, there is a story that I want
03:40 to share to you with today about wind,
03:42 you know, Jesus was tired.
03:45 And He went out on that lake, that sea of Galilee
03:48 with the disciples, he was tired, he went out
03:50 and he fell asleep, do you remember that story, Sara?
03:52 He fell asleep and guess what happened.
03:54 The winds and the waves came up.
03:57 What happened to that boat?
03:59 It was going back and forth.
04:01 It was going back and forth and the waves
04:03 are come over now, now you wouldn't even
04:04 have waves, kids, without wind.
04:07 And I can feel that wind right now as that kite's
04:09 flying up in the air.
04:10 And that wind kept getting bigger and the waves
04:12 kept getting bigger and they would go
04:13 over that boat, and the disciples were all upset,
04:17 and Jesus was sleeping in that boat.
04:20 I can't even imagine that he was so peaceful,
04:23 even with the wind and the waves coming in that boat.
04:24 And the disciples were trying to bail that water out,
04:28 they were trying to get the water out,
04:29 so they wouldn't sink, finally they yelled at Jesus saying.
04:32 Jesus, save us or we perish. Can you imagine that?
04:36 Here's Jesus sleeping on there, not even worried about it.
04:40 And He gets up, and He stands in that boat.
04:43 With all that wind, that's flying the kite,
04:46 and He says, "peace, be still."
04:49 Kids you know something, even though we have
04:51 a lot of wind and a lot of trials,
04:54 which Revelation 7 talks about, "winds of strive."
04:57 You know what, you too can have peace in the storm
05:02 because sometimes, you, you probably
05:04 never gotten in trouble, have you, Sara?
05:06 I have. You have? Once in a while?
05:09 I used to get in trouble a lot, but you know what.
05:12 If you take everything to Jesus,
05:14 He can give you peace, even though the winds come up.
05:17 Now I want to share one more story
05:18 about wind or the lack of it.
05:22 I read a story when I was probably about your age
05:24 and it was a story about a man
05:26 that flew airplanes in World War I, he was a hero.
05:29 And he crash landed, and he had a raft.
05:33 And he went into the ocean, and he was hoping
05:35 that the wind will take him to shore.
05:39 That looks like that kite's going pretty well.
05:42 That's pretty good.
05:43 I hope you kids fly kites sometimes to see
05:45 the effects of the wind or may be already have.
05:47 But this Eddie Rickenbacker, which is a hard name to say,
05:50 he went into the doldrums.
05:52 Now you know what doldrums are?
05:55 No, It sounds kind of boring, doesn't it?
05:56 Doldrums, It sounds boring, but he went into the doldrums
06:00 which means there was no wind.
06:01 And he had to pray to God, that God would bring a wind,
06:05 so that he could be saved, and God did and He saved him.
06:08 Well kids, the wind does a lot of things
06:10 from destruction to give us breeze,
06:13 even when the wind blows, seeds can blow and get planted.
06:17 Wind does a lot of things, generate electricity.
06:20 Wind is a great thing if used in the right direction,
06:23 just like this kite, you having fun?
06:25 Yeah. Okay Kids, nature is God's second book.
06:29 So get out there and take a look.
06:32 Boy, can I try that, I want to fly that kite,
06:35 man that is so cool.
06:52 I once was lost in sin but Jesus took me in
06:58 Then a little light from heaven filled my soul
07:03 It bathed my heart in love and wrote my name above
07:09 Just a little talk with Jesus makes it right
07:13 Now let us have a little talk with Jesus
07:16 Tell Him all about our troubles
07:19 He will hear our faintest cry
07:22 He will answer by and by
07:24 Feel a little prayer wheel turning
07:27 Just a little fire is burning
07:30 Find a little talk with Jesus makes it right
07:55 Well, I may have doubts and fears,
07:58 my eyes be filled with tears
08:01 But Jesus is a friend who watches day and night
08:06 I go to Him in prayer, He knows my every care
08:12 Just a little talk with Jesus makes it right
08:16 Now let us have a little talk with Jesus
08:20 Tell Him all about our troubles
08:22 He will hear our faintest cry
08:25 He will answer by and by
08:27 You feel a little prayer wheel turning
08:30 You know a little fire is burning
08:33 Find a little talk with Jesus makes it right.
08:38 Find a little talk with Jesus makes it right, is so right.
09:03 Welcome to Learning Time. Glad you join us today.
09:07 Now how many of you like popcorn?
09:10 Yes, Well, today our lesson is all about popcorn
09:13 and it looks like we got a popcorn popper up here.
09:15 So I think, I think that things are gonna be popping.
09:19 Now let's see what we have got here,
09:20 I've got three helpers, and so let's find out who they are.
09:22 Now Tim, what's your very favorite thing to do.
09:26 Play on a playground, play on a playground.
09:28 That's cool, isn't it? And I have Mateo.
09:31 Now Mateo, do you have a favorite pet?
09:33 Yeah, a horse, A horse. And what's your horse's name?
09:38 Whitenet. Wow, that's cool, a horse.
09:41 And then we have Cassidy.
09:42 Now, Cassidy, what would you like to do?
09:46 I would like to be a veterinarian when I grow up.
09:49 Be a veterinarian when you grow up.
09:50 Maybe you could work on Mateo's horse?
09:52 That'd be cool, wouldn't it?
09:53 Hey, let's get our three helpers up here
09:55 and see what we have come up with,
09:57 and we have some safety glasses up here today.
09:59 You think they should wear them?
10:00 Yeah, Yeah, So here we go,
10:03 why don't you go ahead and pickup a pair,
10:04 there is a pair for you.
10:06 Go ahead, Mateo, okay, here we go.
10:07 We've gotta put our safety glasses on,
10:09 because today we have a popcorn popper,
10:10 but what's missing? The popcorn.
10:14 Well, yeah, popcorn.
10:15 But there is supposed to be one on top, you guys.
10:18 Oh, the top, what when?
10:20 A top, a top, that's right.
10:21 We don't have the top on here because we want
10:23 you to see the popcorn actually popping
10:26 and so here's what we got right here.
10:28 I actually have some, some oil, 'cause you know
10:31 you kind of need oil for the popcorn, did you know that?
10:34 Yeah, yeah, because what it does is it actually coats
10:37 the little kernel of corn and it gets it hot,
10:41 a lot hotter and faster, if we don't do this.
10:43 I'm gonna pour some oil right in here, okay now.
10:47 You can't do this at home without a cover on it,
10:50 because you get hurt right?
10:52 Yeah, right? yeah.
10:53 Yeah, and the popcorn is gonna fly all over the place,
10:56 but we got our safety glasses on.
10:57 And I'm gonna take a little popcorn,
10:59 this is our popcorn that we're gonna use right here.
11:01 Cassidy, why don't you grab a hold of that,
11:02 and just pour that right in here in for us.
11:05 And our popcorn popper is a, is all hot right now,
11:09 and so we're just gonna see
11:10 what's gonna to happen to it, it's gonna be heating up.
11:13 Now I have some other corn right here,
11:15 now once you grab some with that corn
11:16 just, you know, just with your fingers.
11:18 Why don't you pick out a couple of ears,
11:20 they are not ears, they're what?
11:21 They're kernels, aren't they?
11:22 Yeah. Can you pick out some?
11:23 well, I tell you, why don't you put your hand out
11:25 and I'll pour some in your hand.
11:27 Cassidy, can I pour some in your hand.
11:28 Okay there you go, there was a couple of kernels
11:30 for you and you can share some with Tim.
11:32 Okay, is that hard?
11:34 Are little kernels of corn hard?
11:36 Yeah, Man, they're really hard.
11:38 Now have you ever bitten into a, some popcorn
11:40 and you came up with a kernel that hadn't popped yet,
11:43 have you ever had that happen?
11:44 Yeah, yeah, I mean,
11:46 you can ruin your teeth, can't you?
11:48 Yeah, Yeah, and we don't want
11:49 to do that, so we're popping this corn.
11:51 Now inside those little hard kernels,
11:53 look at your kernels, guys,
11:54 can you pick up your kernel and check it out.
11:56 Inside that kernel, I'm gonna pick one off
11:58 of the floor here, I won't eat this one.
12:00 But you know inside there, there is a lot of starch.
12:03 How many of you like starch, you like starch? Yeah, Yeah,
12:05 Yeah, we have starchy food, there's starch inside
12:08 and that starch is gonna get hotter and hotter
12:10 and hotter, and the pressure inside of that kernel.
12:13 Wow! What's happening there?
12:14 Popping, what's going on here?
12:18 It's popping, what, hey, you know, whoa! man.
12:20 Whoa! and if we're lucky.
12:23 Well, if we're lucky.
12:25 If we're lucky, we might be able to,
12:26 whoa, whoa! I caught one, I caught one.
12:29 If you can catch one, and if it goes on the table,
12:31 you can eat it.
12:32 Well, it's pretty good, isn't it?
12:34 Whoa! whoa! I caught another one.
12:36 You got one, Tim, there's one over there, Tim.
12:39 Right, whoa! popping all over the place, whoa! whoa!
12:43 I got another one. It's pretty good.
12:46 Well, we're gonna turn this thing off.
12:48 We're gonna turn this like a--
12:51 Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Okay.
12:53 Well, hey, you know what,
12:55 that's pretty good stuff, isn't it?
12:56 Yeah, but you know inside that starch it gets so hot.
13:00 It gets so hot and just before
13:02 it pops it turns into jelly. Did you know that?
13:06 The starch inside the popcorn,
13:08 well, that's really good.
13:10 The starch inside the popcorn turns into a jelly,
13:13 and all of that when it pops the jelly absolutely
13:17 instantaneously at the same moment it turns into
13:20 that fluffy nice corn that we like to crunch on.
13:24 Isn't that cool? Yeah.
13:26 And that's the science of popcorn but you know,
13:28 this little hard kernel reminds me of people sometimes.
13:31 Do you wanna be a hard shelled person
13:33 that's just hard and goes through life
13:36 just kind of miserable?
13:37 No, I want to be all fluffed up,
13:41 I want to be something that people might enjoy.
13:44 Do you want people enjoy your life?
13:46 Yeah, Because God has put us here on planet Earth.
13:50 So that we can be a blessing to people and they'll want
13:53 to be around us and that's really cool.
13:56 Well, you know, when we learn more about science,
13:59 we learn more about our Creator, God.
14:12 This is the fifth jar that I'm gonna fill today.
14:14 Well, thank you, servant Gehazi.
14:17 Cool water will taste good on a hot day like this.
14:21 Prophet Elisha, I'm Captain Naaman,
14:24 just come from the River Jordan, Yes, Captain.
14:27 Oh! I'm so grateful to you and your God.
14:29 I've bathed seven times in the river of Jordan
14:32 as you've asked.
14:33 And you can see that I'm healed.
14:35 "Give glory to God, give glory to God."
14:37 Praise the God of Israel.
14:39 Now I know that there is only one true God,
14:42 "The God of Israel," "The God of Heaven."
14:45 Yes, The Gods of Syria,
14:48 they're made of wood and stone.
14:50 They cannot hear or see.
14:52 They do not answer. Yes, but your God.
14:55 The God of Israel sees and can heal.
14:59 Please accept these gifts with my gratitude.
15:04 Oh! Captain Naaman, I stand before the God of Heaven,
15:08 Creator of Heaven and Earth, the God of Israel.
15:13 He only receives rewards, I cannot take these rewards.
15:17 Please go in peace, have a safe journey home.
15:26 Gehazi, God rewards, God rewards.
15:40 Captain Naaman, Captain Naaman, wait, wait.
15:42 Yes, The Prophet Elisha said, yeah,
15:47 he said that there was two sons coming
15:50 from the hills of Ephraim and that they need some clothes.
15:55 Yeah, and a talon of silver, just a bit.
15:59 Well, here, yes, you can have it.
16:02 Oh, thank you, Is it enough.
16:03 Oh they've children they'll really
16:05 appreciate this, thank you, is that enough?
16:08 Just a little more is good, then--
16:09 Is that good? That should be enough.
16:11 I'm happy to do it.
16:12 No, that's fine, that's, thank you.
16:14 Is that plenty? Thank you, just a bit, just a bit more.
16:16 That should be good, sure, certainly, Thank you,
16:18 that should hold him over, I'm glad to do this, Thank you,
16:20 I appreciate it, thank you so much, Thank you.
16:23 All right, Come on, guys, we got to
16:25 get home to lady Naaman.
16:31 Gehazi, where have you been?
16:34 Sir, I've, I've been doing nothing at all.
16:38 Gehazi, my heart went out after you as I saw you follow
16:43 Captain Naaman and watched you take gold and clothing.
16:49 Now the leprosy that was on Captain Naaman will be on you.
16:55 No, not leprosy, please, no, oh.
17:00 Someone, please, I want--
17:02 If only Gehazi had continued to love and serve God, no.
17:15 Would you like me to get you some food?
17:18 No, would you like me to get you a drink of water?
17:21 No, don't worry, lady Naaman,
17:27 I'm sure that God will heal Captain Naaman.
17:33 Oh, I hope so.
17:36 Lady Naaman, lady Naaman, lady Naaman look.
17:39 I've been healed.
17:41 The spots, yes, they're gone.
17:44 It's true, it's gone, Yes, they're gone.
17:46 It's true, yes, praise the God, God of Israel, praise God.
17:51 Captain Naaman, yes, let us thank my God.
17:55 Oh, let us thank our God, yes, yes.
18:01 Dear God in Heaven, we thank you so much
18:06 for healing Captain Naaman and we thank you because now
18:11 they know that you are the one and only true God, amen.
18:30 Matthew 5:3-12, "Blessed are the poor in spirits
18:34 for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
18:37 Blessed are they that mourn for they shall be comforted.
18:40 Blessed are the meek for they shall inherit the earth.
18:44 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst
18:46 after righteousness for they shall be filled.
18:49 Blessed are the merciful for they shall obtain mercy.
18:53 Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God.
18:56 Blessed are the peacemakers for they shall
18:59 be called the children of God.
19:01 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness'
19:04 sake for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
19:07 Blessed are you when men shall revile
19:09 you and persecute you, and shall say all manner of
19:12 evil against you falsely, for my sake."
19:15 Rejoice and be exceeding glad,
19:18 for great is your reward in heaven, for so persecuted
19:21 they the prophets which were before you.
19:25 Obedience is the very best way,
19:29 to show that you believe.
19:33 Doing exactly what the Lord commands, doing it happily.
19:40 Action is the key - do it immediately,
19:43 joy you wil receive.
19:46 Obedience is the very best way to show that you believe.
19:54 O-B-E-D-I E-N-C-E Obedience is the very best way
20:04 to show that you believe.
20:19 Hi, boys and girls, it's time for
20:21 Miss. Brenda's Book of the Day.
20:24 And today's book is called
20:26 "Superstar Problems" by Heather Grovet.
20:29 Oh, this is an exciting book, because Kendra,
20:32 she notices there's a fire at her neighbor's farm
20:34 and there is three ponies in the crowd.
20:36 Oh no, one of them is Star, Star,
20:39 for a moment Kendra had forgotten.
20:40 Oh Dear Kendra wait, Mrs. Rowling called.
20:43 But Kendra was out the door and rushing down
20:45 the front steps towards the neighbors.
20:46 She was almost to the crowd when a burst of light
20:49 and a sudden kaboom!
20:52 Oh, but I'm not gonna to tell you anymore.
20:53 You're gonna to have read this exciting book
20:55 "Superstar Problems" by Heather Grovet.
20:59 Well, boys and girls, today I'm excited,
21:02 I've two beautiful guests to introduce to you.
21:04 I've Madison and Kennedy, hi, Madison and Kennedy?
21:08 Hi, hi, Thank you so much for joining us today
21:10 and why are we here on this program?
21:13 What is that Miss. Brenda
21:14 always says this program is about?
21:16 Sharing Jesus, Sharing Jesus that's right
21:18 and I can tell by the smiles on your faces
21:21 you really love Jesus, don't you?
21:23 Yeah, Madison, what do you and your sister
21:25 do to share Jesus?
21:26 We mail study, Bible study guides.
21:28 Okay, to people who are interested
21:31 so they can learn about Jesus. That's a wonderful idea.
21:34 Now how do you go about doing that?
21:36 How do you find people that want
21:38 to take the Bible studies?
21:39 We advertise on Facebook and we send
21:42 out Bible study offer cards. We mass mail them out on time.
21:46 You did? We use those.
21:48 Well, now I know on Facebook that it's not for children,
21:51 that isn't it, so you're really targeting giving
21:54 these lessons to adults, correct?
21:56 So, and which is a good thing to do.
21:58 But I'd also know that Facebook
22:00 goes all around the world, so do you get responses
22:03 from other countries? Yeah.
22:05 Which countries could you know above hand,
22:07 and can you think of that you've send Bible studies to?
