It's almost time for Kids Time. 00:00:01.98\00:00:03.10 We are going to be late. Its time to share there's 00:00:03.13\00:00:06.09 a world out there looking for a friend like Jesus. 00:00:06.12\00:00:11.62 It's time to share there's a world out there, let's 00:00:12.25\00:00:16.72 tell them that he loves us so. Let's tell them that he 00:00:16.75\00:00:21.82 loves so. Kids time, kids time, kids time. 00:00:21.85\00:00:27.86 kids time, kids time. Hi boys and girls, today 00:00:27.89\00:00:32.48 in our Bible story we will be talking about death. 00:00:32.51\00:00:35.08 When someone dies it's a very sad thing. 00:00:35.46\00:00:37.98 People cry because they will miss that person, 00:00:38.34\00:00:40.51 maybe you've had a pet that died or a grandma, 00:00:41.03\00:00:43.21 grandpa, maybe your friend. Regardless of who dies, 00:00:43.24\00:00:46.19 death is a terrible thing. Aren't you glad that 00:00:46.50\00:00:50.11 Jesus is coming again and there will be no more 00:00:50.14\00:00:52.97 death, instead Jesus is going to raise the people 00:00:53.00\00:00:56.27 who died and he is going to take those who 00:00:56.30\00:00:58.06 loved him to heaven, to live with him forever. 00:00:58.09\00:01:00.22 In heaven, nothing will die, flowers will never 00:01:00.81\00:01:03.42 die, animals will never die and people will never die. 00:01:03.45\00:01:06.38 But while we are still here on earth, we experience 00:01:06.92\00:01:09.71 the results of sin every time someone dies. 00:01:09.74\00:01:12.44 The Bible says that the wages which means 00:01:13.12\00:01:15.11 results of sin is death. But, here is the good news, 00:01:15.14\00:01:19.05 even though Jesus is in heaven he still is able to 00:01:19.08\00:01:23.02 raise people from the dead. Because his disciples 00:01:23.05\00:01:26.11 believe in God's power they were not afraid to 00:01:26.14\00:01:28.95 tell people who are died to wake up, and they did. 00:01:28.98\00:01:32.23 Amazing isn't it. Our Bible story today is about one 00:01:32.56\00:01:36.33 of those times, as you watch remember if 00:01:36.36\00:01:38.94 someone dies its okay to be sad because you'll 00:01:38.97\00:01:42.13 miss them here on earth. But you don't have to be 00:01:42.16\00:01:44.83 sad for long because death is like a dreamless 00:01:44.86\00:01:48.10 sleep, just like Maxwell sleeping right here 00:01:48.13\00:01:50.62 beside me, he doesn't clue of what's going on, 00:01:50.65\00:01:53.89 he is just sleeping away. Well soon Jesus will open 00:01:53.92\00:01:57.60 the graves and the people who love God will be 00:01:57.63\00:02:00.05 alive forever and ever. But, before you hear our 00:02:00.08\00:02:03.73 wonderful story today, it's time for Nature Time. 00:02:03.76\00:02:08.06 Don't you just love a beautiful place like this? 00:02:17.22\00:02:18.96 Hi boys and girls, welcome to Nature Time. You know 00:02:20.20\00:02:22.98 hiking has gotta be one of my favorite outdoor 00:02:23.01\00:02:25.66 activities. Whether I am on a 70 miles trek across 00:02:25.69\00:02:28.48 the Bob Marshall Wilderness carrying a 70 pound pack 00:02:28.51\00:02:31.36 or I am on a Sabbath afternoon hike with 00:02:31.91\00:02:33.80 some primaries or early teens or maybe you 00:02:33.83\00:02:37.29 know some other kids from the church, I love 00:02:37.32\00:02:39.44 every single minute of it. Part of being able to 00:02:39.47\00:02:42.65 enjoy a nature hike or any kind of trip where 00:02:42.68\00:02:46.86 you got to do a lot of walking is being able to 00:02:46.89\00:02:48.82 endure some hardships and some trials. 00:02:48.85\00:02:51.54 One of those hardships of course comes in the 00:02:52.31\00:02:54.35 way of soar feet, sometimes our feet gets 00:02:54.38\00:02:56.78 soar, sometimes we get a little sweaty or 00:02:56.81\00:02:58.72 hot or even thirsty. There are some things 00:02:58.75\00:03:02.01 that we can do though to minimize those hardships. 00:03:02.04\00:03:04.87 I would like to talk just for a few minutes about 00:03:04.90\00:03:06.80 some of those things. First of all in selection 00:03:06.83\00:03:09.38 of a hiking shoe. Now I know that most young people 00:03:09.41\00:03:13.00 especially your age like to hike in tennis shoes. 00:03:13.03\00:03:17.01 Tennis shoes are great unless you gotta carry a 00:03:17.46\00:03:19.16 heavy pack or you're in some kind of rough 00:03:19.19\00:03:21.46 train or rocky stony ground and tennis shoes 00:03:21.49\00:03:24.38 don't offer quite the support that you need. 00:03:24.41\00:03:26.42 Another kind of shoe that doesn't offer the 00:03:27.01\00:03:29.09 right kind of support is what I consider a mall shoe. 00:03:29.12\00:03:34.19 Now I borrowed these from Miss Brenda, you 00:03:34.22\00:03:36.81 should have seen it boys and girls just cross 00:03:36.84\00:03:38.67 this log on our way down into this filming site along the 00:03:38.70\00:03:41.87 beautiful Madison river. Miss Brenda is ready to 00:03:41.90\00:03:43.87 do a little hiking with Ranger Rod. 00:03:43.90\00:03:45.58 Look out, she's getting exercise, this is a 00:03:45.61\00:03:47.39 stretching exercise, you can hear all way backup 00:03:47.42\00:03:50.11 to where we parked the truck. 00:03:50.14\00:03:51.23 This is a very nice shoe, but not what I would 00:04:00.79\00:04:03.17 recommend for an all day hike. 00:04:03.20\00:04:05.03 Before we talk about hiking shoes it's important 00:04:07.21\00:04:09.66 to have the right kind of socks, to whom I say well 00:04:09.69\00:04:11.59 Ranger Rod, what are you doing holding up a 00:04:11.62\00:04:13.53 pair of socks. These aren't just any pair. 00:04:13.56\00:04:15.87 This is a pair of wool socks, wool socks wick 00:04:15.90\00:04:18.61 away the moisture from your feet, keeping them dry. 00:04:18.64\00:04:20.77 It also adds a little bit of cushion, I use a hiker, 00:04:21.08\00:04:23.71 hiker weight wool sock when I hike, all the time. 00:04:23.74\00:04:26.40 As far as hiking shoes are concerned you want 00:04:28.86\00:04:31.23 to get a shoe that's got good support. 00:04:31.26\00:04:32.79 I like to wear a leather upper on my shoes, 00:04:33.23\00:04:35.32 good support, lots of traction, I even put in 00:04:35.82\00:04:38.91 an expensive insert to keep my foot very 00:04:38.94\00:04:41.64 comfortable, as comfortable as I can get it and so 00:04:41.67\00:04:44.13 I use a boot like this. There is many, many 00:04:44.16\00:04:47.36 varieties of good hiking boots, almost all sporting 00:04:47.39\00:04:50.64 goods stores carry good hikers and you could 00:04:50.67\00:04:52.92 just ask them what size fits best, what kind 00:04:52.95\00:04:55.67 should you get for the kind of hiking you're 00:04:55.70\00:04:57.04 gonna be doing. If it is so important because 00:04:57.07\00:05:00.06 what you don't want to have are blisters, if your 00:05:00.09\00:05:02.50 boots are a little too loose or a little too tight 00:05:02.53\00:05:04.95 either way it makes your foot get too hot. 00:05:04.98\00:05:07.92 And a hot spot creates a blister. 00:05:07.95\00:05:10.34 You want to avoid blisters at all cost. 00:05:10.37\00:05:12.42 We spoke just a movement about tennis shoes, again 00:05:14.17\00:05:16.29 here is a pair that I wear for river crossing of all 00:05:16.32\00:05:19.21 things, its okay if you're gonna be playing in the 00:05:19.24\00:05:21.34 water or if you're gonna be playing on a basket 00:05:21.37\00:05:23.44 ball court, but for a long hike I would 00:05:23.47\00:05:25.97 leave these at home. Just a note on blisters, 00:05:26.00\00:05:29.60 here is a little inside tape. Silver duct tape, it works 00:05:29.63\00:05:33.47 great on hot spots, make sure that you put on some 00:05:33.50\00:05:36.65 tape or put on a little mold skin or some 00:05:36.68\00:05:39.13 blister patch before you get a blister. 00:05:39.16\00:05:41.41 It's important to make sure that as soon as you 00:05:41.71\00:05:43.90 start to feel a hot spot coming on put something on, 00:05:43.93\00:05:46.98 covered up, its miserable to be hiking with soar feet. 00:05:47.01\00:05:49.97 Now I would like to shift over and talk a little bit 00:05:51.50\00:05:52.99 about trekking poles. I know we've mentioned 00:05:53.02\00:05:55.15 trekking poles before on Kids Time. 00:05:55.18\00:05:57.00 But, I wanna show you a couple of different 00:05:57.72\00:05:59.27 varieties that we have and that we use in our family. 00:05:59.30\00:06:01.51 These right here are carbon fiber, they weigh 00:06:02.19\00:06:04.11 almost nothing I mean literally boys and girls 00:06:04.14\00:06:06.65 if you could be here and Ranger Rod handed this 00:06:06.68\00:06:08.39 to you wouldn't think you were carrying anything. 00:06:08.42\00:06:10.41 They're very comfortable for a long day's trek. 00:06:10.96\00:06:13.15 I like to show you another trekking pole that has a 00:06:16.91\00:06:18.80 unique cork handle. Cork handles are very 00:06:18.83\00:06:21.30 popular because they help to keep your hand 00:06:21.33\00:06:23.60 cool and dry and they're very comfortable. 00:06:23.63\00:06:25.89 One of my favorite trekking poles though is, 00:06:27.04\00:06:29.76 one right here that I made for my daughter Alisha 00:06:30.85\00:06:32.59 when she was just a little girl. 00:06:32.62\00:06:34.10 In fact if you look real close there, you can see 00:06:34.13\00:06:36.38 that's got a real comfortable hand grip on it, carved 00:06:36.41\00:06:39.30 custom just for her. You know boys and girls 00:06:39.33\00:06:42.12 even the Bible talks about men using walking sticks, 00:06:42.15\00:06:45.37 shepherds and people who walk long distances 00:06:45.40\00:06:47.95 carry a rod or staff. The Bible even says in 00:06:47.98\00:06:51.73 Psalms 23 that God has a rod and a staff. 00:06:52.49\00:06:56.01 Good hiking, and until next time lets 00:06:56.94\00:06:59.34 all enjoy God's great outdoors. 00:06:59.37\00:07:01.65 David joyfully said to God, I will declare your name 00:07:21.96\00:07:25.31 to my brethren and in the midst of the congregation 00:07:25.34\00:07:27.95 I will praise you. That's found in Psalms 22:22. 00:07:27.98\00:07:32.55 God of great and God of small, God of one and God of all, 00:07:41.09\00:07:48.06 God of weak and God of strong, God to whom all things belong, 00:07:48.31\00:07:55.26 Hallelujah, Hallelujah, praised be thy name. 00:07:55.72\00:08:02.84 God of land and sky and sea, God of life and destiny, 00:08:08.48\00:08:15.49 God of never ending power, yet beside me every hour. 00:08:16.00\00:08:23.01 Hallelujah, Hallelujah, praised be thy name. 00:08:23.37\00:08:30.33 God of silence, God of sound, 00:08:37.10\00:08:41.48 God in whom the lost are found, 00:08:42.06\00:08:46.48 God of day and darkest night, 00:08:47.18\00:08:51.22 God whose love turns wrong to right. 00:08:51.73\00:08:57.57 God of heaven and God of world, 00:08:58.24\00:09:01.99 God of death and God of birth, God of now and days before, 00:09:02.02\00:09:09.35 God who reigns forevermore, Hallelujah, Hallelujah, 00:09:09.82\00:09:16.79 praised be thy name, praised be thy name. 00:09:16.82\00:09:28.32 Welcome to learning time. I am glad you join us today 00:09:35.98\00:09:38.71 and by the looks of this table it kinda of looks 00:09:38.74\00:09:40.78 like we're gonna have company for supper. Doesn't it? 00:09:40.81\00:09:43.40 Yes. Yeah and I've got some 00:09:43.43\00:09:46.20 helpers we are not really gonna have 00:09:46.23\00:09:48.27 company at all, but we gonna do a science 00:09:48.30\00:09:50.77 experiment and I have got Hannah. 00:09:50.80\00:09:52.41 Hannah is gonna be one of our helpers today. 00:09:52.44\00:09:53.93 Now Hannah if you could do anything 00:09:54.44\00:09:55.66 around the house what would you like to do. 00:09:55.69\00:09:57.35 I'd probably like to clean things up. 00:10:00.22\00:10:03.07 Clean things up, you like a tidy house. Yeah. 00:10:03.52\00:10:06.45 That's a good thing to have. And then let's see we've got 00:10:06.48\00:10:09.30 Lance over here. Now Lance is gonna 00:10:09.33\00:10:10.66 help us as well. Now Lance, if you 00:10:10.69\00:10:12.03 could go anywhere in the world where would you like to go. 00:10:12.06\00:10:15.22 Mars. Mars, that another 00:10:15.25\00:10:17.44 world isn't it. Now why would you like to go to Mars? 00:10:17.47\00:10:19.93 Because, one of my favorite colors is red. 00:10:20.37\00:10:22.99 Oh! It's called a red planet. Isn't it? Oh and then I have 00:10:23.02\00:10:26.20 Alex over here. Now Alex if you could do anything 00:10:26.23\00:10:29.90 in the summer time or any kind of activity what 00:10:29.93\00:10:32.10 would you choose? To climb trees and build 00:10:32.13\00:10:35.29 the forts outside with my friends. 00:10:35.32\00:10:37.21 Hey that would be exciting to do. 00:10:37.24\00:10:38.80 Wouldn't it? Yeah. Well, hey lets get our 00:10:38.83\00:10:40.86 helpers to come on up here right behind our 00:10:40.89\00:10:42.94 table cloth and all of this table settings. 00:10:42.97\00:10:45.69 And now we have got some things on the table, 00:10:46.31\00:10:49.09 what's this right here. A plate, that's a plate 00:10:49.12\00:10:52.82 and its clean, well its not real clean. 00:10:52.85\00:10:54.79 I wouldn't eat off of this, 'cause we haven't washed 00:10:54.82\00:10:56.70 it but you know its made out of some kind of ceramic 00:10:56.73\00:10:58.78 material and it could break so we're gonna be 00:10:58.81\00:11:00.46 careful, we don't wanna break stuff do we. 00:11:00.49\00:11:02.16 Now hey, have you ever broken anything like plates 00:11:02.19\00:11:04.75 or dishes or glasses. Yeah. 00:11:04.78\00:11:06.61 Yeah. What did you break? A glass. 00:11:06.64\00:11:08.38 A glass. Did you break anything Alex. Uh-huh. 00:11:08.41\00:11:10.54 What? Probably like a glass so. Probably, now 00:11:10.57\00:11:13.52 we kinda forget what we break sometimes. 00:11:13.55\00:11:15.60 You've never broken anything. Have you? 00:11:15.63\00:11:17.57 Yeah. What did you break? 00:11:17.60\00:11:18.81 A plate. A plate. Well we got a 00:11:18.84\00:11:21.05 plate here but I am not sure we're gonna break it. 00:11:21.08\00:11:23.03 Now, I got some beautiful flowers and now and I have 00:11:23.06\00:11:26.09 some water for them but they're artificial 00:11:26.12\00:11:27.85 so it doesn't matter. Anybody have some 00:11:27.88\00:11:29.53 water in there and this is a vase, now the plate 00:11:29.56\00:11:32.30 and the vase they want to stay right there, are 00:11:32.33\00:11:34.75 they moving around. No. Oh no, they are 00:11:34.78\00:11:37.66 just in place. And so are my flowers right here 00:11:37.69\00:11:40.36 because that is what we call a nurture. 00:11:40.39\00:11:42.47 Things that are at rest and all those things are 00:11:42.94\00:11:45.22 rest they want to stay right there. 00:11:45.25\00:11:46.92 Don't they? They will stay there 00:11:46.95\00:11:49.77 until another force acts upon them and so this is 00:11:49.80\00:11:52.87 the whole thing about our science experiment. 00:11:52.90\00:11:54.92 Now for this one I want you to put your glasses on, 00:11:55.20\00:11:57.57 put your safety glasses on. Okay you can put those right 00:11:57.60\00:12:00.23 off over your glasses. Okay. And you know 00:12:00.26\00:12:02.47 what Alex is going to be the man for the day over here. 00:12:02.50\00:12:05.32 Okay. So Alex you stay where your at and lets 00:12:05.35\00:12:08.14 come over here, because you are kind of in the 00:12:08.17\00:12:10.76 splash zone there, just right there and you can watch. Okay. 00:12:10.79\00:12:13.89 Alright. Now Alex is going to do something 00:12:13.92\00:12:15.71 really special. In fact Alex is going to take 00:12:15.74\00:12:18.06 this table cloth and he is gonna try to pull it right 00:12:18.09\00:12:21.09 from underneath the plate and the vase. 00:12:21.12\00:12:23.70 Do you think he can do that. Yes, yeah. 00:12:23.73\00:12:27.58 Sounds like a great experiment. 00:12:27.61\00:12:29.32 But, here is how we're gonna have to do this Alex. 00:12:29.35\00:12:31.31 And by the way you can't try this at home. 00:12:32.15\00:12:34.57 You know why yeah. You could break a lots 00:12:34.60\00:12:38.01 of stuff that would be a bad news thing. 00:12:38.04\00:12:40.37 So we're gonna take this table cloth in our hands right here. 00:12:40.40\00:12:42.93 I'm gonna get this all set up for Alex, okay. 00:12:42.96\00:12:45.05 And then Alex, I want you to hold that just like that. 00:12:46.56\00:12:49.71 Alright. Now and then Alex is going to put his hands 00:12:49.74\00:12:52.15 real close to that table and we're gonna have to 00:12:52.18\00:12:54.85 give him a countdown and we're going to go 5 00:12:54.88\00:12:58.00 and 4, but don't do it we're just practicing. 00:12:58.03\00:13:00.35 Okay. We're gonna go 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 and on one 00:13:00.38\00:13:05.18 Alex, you're gonna pull just as fast as you can. 00:13:05.57\00:13:08.25 Kinda back and down and plate and the vase 00:13:08.58\00:13:11.88 are going to do what? What do you think 00:13:11.91\00:13:13.36 they're gonna do? Break. 00:13:13.39\00:13:15.48 Break. Well, how many think are going to break. 00:13:15.51\00:13:17.43 Oh Alex don't break up okay. If Alex pulls really, really 00:13:17.46\00:13:21.82 slow, well they're gonna break? 00:13:21.85\00:13:23.13 But, they want to stay there and so he has to 00:13:23.16\00:13:25.11 jerk the table loth real quick. 00:13:25.14\00:13:26.90 Okay. How about the count down are you 00:13:27.29\00:13:29.07 ready Alex? Are you ready to see this? 00:13:29.10\00:13:31.87 Are you ready to clean up the mess? 00:13:32.58\00:13:33.86 No, there is not gonna be a mess 'cause we're 00:13:34.98\00:13:36.80 gonna do it right. Okay Alex, okay. Let's 00:13:36.83\00:13:38.70 give him a count down, here we go 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. 00:13:38.73\00:13:44.14 Wow! Give him a nice hand. Alex, that is so cool. 00:13:44.17\00:13:51.00 Let us now, come back over here guys, 00:13:51.03\00:13:53.08 come back over here. Did you see that? Yeah. 00:13:53.11\00:13:56.40 Remember object at rest want to stay at rest. 00:13:56.55\00:13:59.28 sure am glad otherwise we would have a 00:13:59.31\00:14:01.31 problem, wouldn't we? I did it too. Now, you know 00:14:01.34\00:14:04.17 those are what we call natural laws, you know 00:14:04.20\00:14:06.55 God made lots of natural laws for us and we have 00:14:06.58\00:14:10.27 to obey them and all of these objects, obey the 00:14:10.30\00:14:13.25 laws of God which is really kind and cool. 00:14:13.28\00:14:15.77 You know boys and girls I want to thank my helpers 00:14:16.71\00:14:19.31 could you give him a nice hand. 00:14:19.34\00:14:20.33 Wow, Alex did a great job and remember every 00:14:20.36\00:14:25.42 time we learn about science we're learning 00:14:25.45\00:14:28.74 more about our creator God. 00:14:28.77\00:14:32.46 Since Dorcas has passed away things have been 00:14:40.15\00:14:42.03 in such distress. You know she is so 00:14:42.06\00:14:44.02 close for the people, she helped people with the 00:14:44.05\00:14:46.65 sick, she did so many things for everybody 00:14:46.68\00:14:49.29 and Peter we're just so glad you have come to 00:14:49.32\00:14:51.55 Joppa to bring comfort to the people. 00:14:51.58\00:14:54.14 I am sure that the Lord will comfort these people. 00:14:54.94\00:14:58.02 She made this for grandson. She loved us so much. 00:15:05.43\00:15:11.65 She made me food, she send me food. Oh! Tabitha, 00:15:11.68\00:15:16.34 who did this. Poor girl, may Lord be with you, 00:15:16.37\00:15:19.67 be a good cheer. God bless. The Lord is good, 00:15:19.70\00:15:28.31 he understands, he has given us great 00:15:28.34\00:15:31.73 encouragement that he will care for us and so 00:15:31.76\00:15:34.95 we need to just talk to the lord about it and 00:15:34.98\00:15:37.82 I would like to talk to Lord, so if you don't 00:15:37.85\00:15:41.39 mind I would like to ask you if you would leave 00:15:41.42\00:15:43.96 for a few minutes. Yes, we will. 00:15:44.56\00:15:46.38 All of you would leave. 00:15:46.41\00:15:47.38 God, you are the only one that can give back 00:16:17.11\00:16:20.28 life, its all within your hands, we know that 00:16:20.31\00:16:26.55 through your power you spoke and men and women 00:16:26.58\00:16:30.48 came into existence and so I call upon you in the 00:16:30.51\00:16:34.74 name of your son Jesus Christ that you would 00:16:34.77\00:16:37.70 restore her life. Dorcas arise. 00:16:37.73\00:16:41.93 You are the Apostle Peter. Yes, Dorcas. How did you 00:16:48.24\00:16:53.23 get in my room? 'Cause the last thing that I remember 00:16:53.26\00:16:57.74 was that the widows were here and I was helping 00:16:59.21\00:17:02.23 the children and I, my God I am feeling so dizzy. 00:17:02.26\00:17:08.14 What happened? A couple days ago you died. 00:17:09.35\00:17:13.03 I died. You died. Well, I didn't feel anything. 00:17:13.68\00:17:17.20 I don't remember anything. No, in fact it tells us very 00:17:17.23\00:17:22.29 clear in the scripture that when a person dies they 00:17:22.32\00:17:26.60 don't know anything. That scriptures are true. 00:17:26.63\00:17:29.96 I didn't know anything. It's like when you go to 00:17:29.99\00:17:32.39 sleep you don't dream. That's true. And then 00:17:32.42\00:17:36.61 what has happened is the Lord Jesus Christ has called 00:17:36.64\00:17:41.59 you back to life. Oh! Thank you Jesus. 00:17:41.62\00:17:46.12 Thank you for giving me another chance to 00:17:46.83\00:17:49.12 somebody, oh! Thank you for coming Peter. 00:18:20.33\00:18:24.29 And your friends were just here and I am sure they 00:18:24.53\00:18:27.72 would like to see you. Oh I would loved to 00:18:27.75\00:18:29.71 to see my friends. Oh! I'm alive. All of you 00:18:29.74\00:18:33.54 that were there come back, come back. Oh! When you said, Jesus 00:18:56.33\00:18:59.87 said I am the resurrection of your life and so God has 00:18:59.90\00:19:03.48 given her back her life to her. 00:19:03.51\00:19:05.03 Yes God. Tell them Peter, tell them what, who did this? 00:19:05.06\00:19:14.93 Well, you see this is what Jesus promised us. 00:19:14.96\00:19:17.65 He promised, he said I'm the resurrection of life, 00:19:18.15\00:19:21.02 he that believes in me even though he may die yet he 00:19:21.35\00:19:25.27 shall live and so he has given Dorcas back her life. 00:19:25.30\00:19:28.99 Oh! Thank you Jesus. Praise God. Praise God. 00:19:29.69\00:19:36.46 I was showing everyone the things that you have made. 00:19:39.32\00:19:42.10 Praise God from whom all blessings flow. 00:19:43.52\00:19:46.92 I praise you Jesus for this 00:19:47.15\00:19:49.06 opportunity to live for you again. 00:19:49.09\00:19:52.34 Hi boys and girls, its time for 00:21:32.98\00:21:34.72 Ms. Brenda's book of the day. Hi Rebecca, I am so glad you came into Kids Time 00:22:16.19\00:22:19.45 and I am so glad you're here and tell me what 00:22:19.48\00:22:22.34 do you do to share Jesus. Well, Ms. Brenda, I would like 00:22:22.37\00:22:24.72 to share Jesus with you by giving you this little gift. 00:22:24.75\00:22:27.20 You would! Oh! This is beautiful, this is the nice 00:22:27.23\00:22:30.80 handy bag that Ms. Brenda can use when I am coming 00:22:30.83\00:22:33.44 to in from the set. I can see a place in here for 00:22:33.47\00:22:35.56 my water bottles and is there something inside? Yeah. 00:22:35.59\00:22:38.51 Oh there is okay let me see, I loves surprises. 00:22:38.54\00:22:41.75 Don't you boys and girls. Oh! Look this must be a 00:22:41.78\00:22:46.94 special T-shirt. Can you see that, look at that 00:22:46.97\00:22:51.17 boys and girls and what, can you read it for them? 00:22:51.20\00:22:54.07 It says "be the bridge love, pray, study and witness." 00:22:54.64\00:22:58.79 This is wonderful, tell me about this in your 00:22:58.82\00:23:01.50 I see yeah it's a same thing like you're wearing. 00:23:01.53\00:23:03.53 Only mine is in red and how do you Ms. Brenda 00:23:03.56\00:23:05.93 loves red, I wear red a lot. I love it. So tell me 00:23:05.96\00:23:09.53 what is that about this T-shirt. Well our conference, 00:23:10.43\00:23:13.23 the Great New York Conference in 2009, 00:23:13.26\00:23:15.86 that was our theme for the year. Oh it was. So you are 00:23:15.89\00:23:19.33 from the New York greater conference and that's awesome 00:23:19.36\00:23:22.99 so now you that's a wonderful thing to do 00:23:23.02\00:23:24.93 isn't it to pray, study and witness. 00:23:24.96\00:23:27.02 I think that's wonderful. You have something 00:23:27.05\00:23:29.34 sitting beside you that looks very pretty, what is that? 00:23:29.37\00:23:31.92 Yes, it's an citrus fruit basket. Okay and how 00:23:31.95\00:23:36.00 do you share Jesus with that? Well our Christian school 00:23:36.03\00:23:39.06 usually sells oranges around Christmas time and my family 00:23:39.09\00:23:42.81 buys a lot of those so we can wrap them and put them 00:23:42.84\00:23:45.46 in basket with a little card that has the scripture 00:23:45.49\00:23:47.89 verse on it and then we give it to the neighbors 00:23:47.92\00:23:50.44 on our block and write a Bible verse, so that we 00:23:50.47\00:23:54.05 can share Jesus with them that way. Okay now have you 00:23:54.08\00:23:56.10 had any wonderful experiences doing that. 00:23:56.13\00:23:58.05 Oh, yes there is this elderly man across the 00:23:58.54\00:24:00.86 street and he seemed to not have a lot of visitors. 00:24:00.89\00:24:04.68 So when we brought him the oranges one 00:24:04.71\00:24:06.40 time he was very happy and said that a lot of 00:24:06.43\00:24:09.05 people don't have citrus fruits around 00:24:09.08\00:24:10.57 this time of year. So and he said he was 00:24:10.60\00:24:13.49 happy that someone cared and brought him oranges. 00:24:13.52\00:24:17.08 Have you found that there is any chance to 00:24:17.11\00:24:18.78 even talk about Jesus when you give it? 00:24:18.81\00:24:20.97 Yes, there was a neighbor down the street and she was a 00:24:21.59\00:24:25.57 Christian but not a Seventh Day Adventist, 00:24:25.60\00:24:27.68 so we were talking about how Jesus came 00:24:27.71\00:24:30.36 to save the world and how he gave his only begotten 00:24:30.39\00:24:34.12 son and how much he loved us. And was she 00:24:34.15\00:24:36.83 receptive or she was the have you had someone says, 00:24:36.86\00:24:38.84 I don't wanna hear about Jesus, I mean 00:24:38.87\00:24:40.31 have you had anybody be mean to you when 00:24:40.34\00:24:41.81 you're, its kind of hard to be mean when you're 00:24:41.84\00:24:43.13 giving them something nice isn't it? Yeah. 00:24:43.16\00:24:44.61 There, no one was really mean, they were just listening 00:24:45.53\00:24:48.58 and saying that's very nice. So you could tell that they 00:24:48.61\00:24:51.93 were receptive and you know when we do something 00:24:51.96\00:24:54.57 wonderful for them too, even Jesus when he ministered 00:24:54.60\00:24:57.57 to people he took care of the physical needs first. 00:24:57.60\00:24:59.52 Didn't he? He healed the sick, he fed them, he you know 00:24:59.55\00:25:02.30 comforted them and so I think that he set a very 00:25:03.99\00:25:07.07 good example for each of us that we are suppose 00:25:07.10\00:25:09.09 to go out and help our fellowman. Aren't we? Yeah. 00:25:09.12\00:25:12.37 That's awesome and so would you 00:25:12.56\00:25:13.55 encourage other boys and girls to do this? 00:25:13.58\00:25:15.32 Yes. It's been a positive experience for you. Yes. 00:25:15.35\00:25:18.59 Oh that's wonderful. What do you want to do 00:25:18.62\00:25:20.18 when you grow up? I want to become 00:25:20.21\00:25:22.04 a veterinarian. A veterinarian. 00:25:22.07\00:25:24.19 And so you must love animals. Let me tell you have you 00:25:24.60\00:25:27.42 ever seen a dog as sleepy as Maxwell. 00:25:27.45\00:25:29.20 Look at Maxwell, just sleeping down there. 00:25:29.23\00:25:31.71 And what would you do for a sleepy dog like that, huh? 00:25:31.74\00:25:35.69 Give him staying awake pill. I don't know I think God 00:25:36.68\00:25:40.97 allowed us to have this wonderful peaceful dog. 00:25:41.00\00:25:43.16 'Cause if he was yapping and barking we wouldn't 00:25:43.19\00:25:45.11 be able to take this program would we? 00:25:45.14\00:25:46.54 No. So I think God gave us Maxwell, don't you. 00:25:46.57\00:25:49.11 Yes. Well I would like to read a couple of letters, 00:25:49.14\00:25:51.64 would you like to help me. I might even, I think 00:25:51.67\00:25:54.27 I might even have a picture in some of them that you 00:25:54.30\00:25:57.06 can help hold up if we do. Let's see this one has a 00:25:57.09\00:25:59.96 couple, oh! This has got some money in it and a picture. 00:25:59.99\00:26:02.82 You wanna hold this one up for me and let's 00:26:02.85\00:26:05.08 see boys and girls this says its from Queensland, 00:26:05.11\00:26:08.47 Australia.
