00:01 It's almost time for kids' time.
00:03 We're gonna to be late. 00:04 It's time to share there's a world out there, 00:07 Looking for a friend like Jesus. 00:11 It's time to share there's a world out there; 00:16 let's tell them that He loves us so. 00:19 Let's tell them that He loves us so. 00:24 Kids Time, Kids Time, Kids Time. 00:30 Hi boys and girls, do you know the song 00:33 if you happy and you know clap your hands. 00:35 Well that used to be one of my favorite songs, 00:38 and I still love that song. When you're discouraged, 00:41 when you're sad, when things don't turn out 00:44 the way you want, it is the perfect time to sing. 00:47 And in fact, the Bible says in Psalms in 149:5, 00:51 let the saint sing aloud, are you ready for this, 00:54 on their beds. What thought a lot about that verse 00:58 and you probably sing in church or in the shower 01:00 or maybe just singing along with your favorite 01:01 song, but most people don't sing in bed. 01:05 There is a story in the Bible about Paul 01:08 and Silas in prison. They were chained up in a 01:10 dark cold miserable prison, and you would think 01:13 that they have been discouraged 01:14 and with grumble and complain, but they didn't. 01:17 No instead, Paul and Silas found away to be happy 01:22 in prison. Listen carefully to our Bible story today 01:25 and see if you too can discover a great way to be 01:28 happy even in a sad situation, but first, 01:31 Ranger Rod is going to show us 01:33 something special on nature time. 01:42 Hi boys and girls, welcome to Nature Time. 01:45 You know, Ranger Rod is here in beautiful 01:47 West Yellow Stone today with my friend 01:49 and pilot Rick and we are looking at a 01:51 gorgeous helicopter here behind me, 01:54 and I think he is going to take us for a ride 01:55 in just a few minutes, but first I like to ask him 01:57 a couple of questions about wild life 01:59 management. Now Rick, you fly at this Helicopter 02:02 for a host of different reasons, but what about 02:05 wild life management? Is there anything that you 02:06 do here on the borders of Yellow Stone National Park 02:10 or here in this area, where boys and girls might be 02:12 able to see what, a helicopter is being used for? 02:16 Well, we help the park service, manage the buffalo, 02:18 the wolves, the elk, we keep counts on them 02:21 and we move them where they need to be 02:22 moved just to help. Keep them separated from cattle 02:25 when they need to be, and any information that 02:28 would add over we can get for them we could do so. 02:30 How do you usually fly when you do in wild life 02:32 management? Well it depends what kind of work 02:34 we are doing. Sometimes we have to be down close of 02:36 the ground with the buffalo to get them move along 02:38 and then other animals we want to stay up high so, 02:40 they don't even know where they are. 02:41 Well I've never rode a Helicopter before, 02:43 Rick I would love to ride a helicopter would you to 02:46 be willing to take Ranger Rod up and we can take 02:49 a camera, we can show some of these boys and girls, 02:50 some beautiful wild life. That would be great, yeah. 02:53 Since you are ready to go we can go. 02:55 Let's go there, come on. Alright, I will ride in the 02:58 either side away. Unless you wouldn't drive 03:00 you need to get in from the, alright, 03:01 alright here I'm. Wow Rick this is beautiful. 03:05 What do I how do I shut the door, okay? 03:09 Now we can get a shut, okay you can have put to 03:11 seat belt on just like in a car. 03:13 Okay, you got a seatbelts here we have. 03:17 Already, and that I have that hat off Ranger Rod, 03:21 the hat is got to go, yeah. And try for one of these. 03:24 Alright, I shouldn't be nervous I guess taking 03:27 the socks inside your helicopter Cow Boy. 03:32 So we're gonna to be able to talk to each other yep, 03:35 we'll be able to talk. Are you ready to go, 03:38 I'm ready if you ready. Okay, let's go. 03:40 Oh that's start by manual we have to start by. 03:46 Oh, it's exciting. Here it goes. 03:51 What's the winding sound we hear? 03:53 That's a compressor winding up. 03:54 Pushes the air into the engine and helps it up, 03:56 helps a lot there and its surround. 04:06 So this is actually a Turbine Jet Engine right? 04:08 Yes it is. Right. Wow! The engine says that 04:18 we are running. Now pretty powerful, 04:21 yes it is, sounds like it's already ready. Lift up, 04:23 it will get in the air. Great, oh beautiful, 04:31 this is great, wow I love this, boys and girls 04:36 I wish you could be here with Ranger Rod. 04:37 This is absolutely awesome. I am loving up here, 04:41 beautiful blue skies, green forest below, 04:44 Yellow Stone National Park. 04:46 We are having a great time my friends pilot 04:48 Rick here. He is just doing a great job. 04:51 Isn't it beautiful? Praise the Lord. 04:54 Yeah, Rick we've been enjoying some of these 04:56 beautiful wild life we see in down here. 04:58 And it's been exciting some of that, 05:00 the management techniques and some 05:02 of the ways that helped you work with, 05:04 with managing wild life. Is there any particular 05:07 management course that you've done that is sits 05:11 out in your mind, does make little more exciting 05:13 than the rest. I'll be probably guiding wolves. 05:15 Guiding wolves! Is that a sport or 05:18 some kind of athletic activity? No, it's not 05:20 a sport. It's not sport, how would you guide 05:22 the wolf? Well we have a guy at the back 05:25 with the guiding rifle. We got to get down real 05:27 close on them and then we dart them. 05:28 Isn't that made so you fly this helicopter right down 05:31 and close on the wolf pack? Yeah, you select out 05:33 and how do you know you are supposed to dart. 05:36 Well, which everyone the poor service once, 05:38 is the one we track down and then we get upon 05:40 top of it. Now it's one may dart. 05:42 Now does that actually do any permanent 05:43 damage to the wolfs or just. No absolutely not, 05:46 it just a track of wiser that not come out 05:48 so they can call us to the wolfs. 05:49 And they call them, they call up the track up, 05:52 they way up they have their blood, 05:54 they give a lot of information, if lot of 05:55 information or where they go, 05:57 how they breath. That's amazing, 05:59 and so you can you able to use this 06:00 Helicopter for management purposes, 06:02 if you wouldn't get the do any other way. 06:04 No, yeah I wouldn't want to have to is 06:06 sneak in and endanger a wolf. 06:08 No, I think that's a hard way to do it. 06:09 Absolutely, that is the incredible. 06:12 That's another way, that you can use this 06:15 Helicopter that's great. Oh Rick, I would like 06:18 to thank you for taken us up and show on 06:20 air beautiful wild life given us a lot of 06:22 information about, how you can use the 06:24 helicopter to help manage wildlife to 06:26 help those that are out there trying to 06:28 protect the wildlife and do research on them. 06:31 It's been so exciting. I really enjoyed it. 06:33 Boys and girls, until next time this is 06:36 Ranger Rod saying let's all enjoy God's great outdoor. 07:36 Welcome to Learning Time, 07:37 I 'm glad you are here today and you know 07:39 I've got something special over here behind me 07:41 and we're gonna to find out all about it, 07:43 but I'm gonna have to have some helpers. 07:45 I'm gonna ask them some questions today. 07:47 I've got Melissa over here now Melissa, 07:49 if you could go anywhere in the universe 07:51 where would you like to go? Pluto, Pluto, 07:54 why Pluto? Because it's so farthest planet from 07:57 the earth. Wow, it is sometimes isn't it 08:00 and we call it the dwarf planet Pluto. 08:03 And we have Jessica over here, 08:04 now Jessica have you ever seen a star? 08:08 Yes what star have you what in fact, 08:11 what is the closest star you have ever seen? 08:13 The Sun. It's the sun, wow now I saw the Sun, 08:17 but you know how would you like to go to the Sun? 08:19 I think that there are really cool there would be 08:21 really cool or would it be hot, 08:23 hot yeah that would be cool but I sure be hot 08:27 wouldn't it. I think so, and then Kory 08:30 I've got Kory another helper here now. 08:31 Now Kory, what planet do you think is the 08:35 most beautiful? One of the gas Planets, 08:39 one of the gas planets, so you know. 08:40 Hey have you ever built a rocket? 08:42 Yes , oh really, hey well tell me what happened? 08:45 I first of when I took off, but parachute melted. 08:50 Wow, the Parachute melt there . 08:52 Well today we're gonna to talk about rockets 08:53 and now I want my helpers common up here. 08:55 So why don't you common up here 08:56 we're gonna to come by this little tricycle over here 08:59 and there is tricycle where we're gonna to turned 09:01 it into a rocket sled. Have you ever seen a real 09:05 rocket take off? Yeah, I have too and they are 09:08 kind of front we've gonna a need some safety glasses 09:10 over here. Why don't you grab those safety 09:12 glasses because what we're gonna to do is 09:14 we're gonna to turn this little it's just kind of 09:17 have you ever seen those old toys like this. 09:19 Yeah its a little tricycle and we set it up to be 09:22 a Rocket Sled. Now they use rocket sleds in 09:26 order to test and they usually test people 09:29 that are like in the armed services and so forth, 09:31 because the wanted to see how fast they can go. 09:34 Then they want to see how fast they can stop 09:36 without hurting people that are riding in the 09:39 rockets. Is that a good idea? I think so to. 09:43 Now I've got Dave, Dave is gonna to help us here 09:45 to set this up. Now what I'm gonna to do is 09:47 I'm gonna put my helmet on, and so let me 09:51 put my helmet on because I'm gonna ride a rocket 09:53 sled. So well hey, by the way when you ride 09:56 your bicycles you always put a helmet on. 09:57 Yeah, and not a bad idea to always ride with helmet. 10:01 So I'm gonna put my helmet on, now what 10:03 we have right here, we have a tank 10:05 and in fact this tank right here happens to be 10:08 full of Carbon Dioxide gas. And that's going to 10:12 be our engine. And you know happens there is a 10:14 lot of pressure in this tank. And the pressure is 10:17 going this way and that way and it's going all 10:20 different directions, but what I'm gonna to do in 10:22 order to go fast or to go that directions 10:25 that's the directions we want to go right. 10:27 I have to open the valve, when I open valve 10:30 you know what happens? The Carbon Dioxide 10:32 comes out of the valve and the rest of the gas 10:36 pushes forward as this gas comes out it 10:40 pushes this tank forward, but the deal 10:44 is I'm gonna to be riding on this sled 10:46 and so when it pushes forward, where you 10:49 suppose I'm gonna to go. Forward, 10:51 I've gonna to go forward right down there. 10:54 And Dave, Dave is gonna go down there to 10:55 catch me if I can stop, okay. 10:57 Yeah okay but first of all I'm gonna to grab 11:00 this little rocket sled right here. 11:02 Oh here we go I and not I'm gonna to try 11:05 to get myself all situated right here we go 11:09 and then, then we are almost ready for blasted 11:12 off okay and we might need a count oh you know 11:14 what I forgot something what did I forget. 11:17 Safety glasses and I put here safety glasses 11:21 and this is not a bad idea, okay. So here we go 11:24 right. Got it all set up look here Dave. 11:26 Now okay put it right here alright 11:28 and let's what we got to do and we're gonna to 11:31 have a countdown starting with five are 11:34 you ready alright, five, four, three, two, 11:38 one let's open it up, right over here. 11:57 Get up to me. Wow, you see that wow, 12:09 Rocket sled Max we went all away down there. 12:13 Was that pretty exciting? 12:14 Yes, yeah, well, the rocket sled really worked 12:19 and I went that way and all of the gas went 12:21 backwards and it push me forward. 12:23 Well, you know boys and girls, every time we learn 12:27 more about science, we learn 12:30 more about our creator God. 12:45 Hey, oh, oh, put your belt you kid, 12:48 you made me sick, stomach stinking prisoner. 12:51 Speaking to prisoners Paul and Silas, 12:54 you make me sick. You come in to Philippine 12:57 and stir everything up and look where you 12:59 end up, in large jail and there is no way out 13:03 only way out is this key. Our God doesn't 13:07 need a key to set us free. That's right. 13:10 Not even your God can get you out of this jail. 13:12 Oh, by the way, are you men called, 13:16 oh I forgot I'm fresh out of blanket, 13:19 sleep tight now I hope you rest bright. 13:27 Soldier, you got those prisoners as if your life 13:30 depends on it, because it does, yes sir. 13:39 Paul are you alright? Yes, yes, 13:42 I'll be fine but I need to sit. Are you sure brother, 13:48 you are moving kind of slave. Oh, these 13:51 chains are tight. Quiet in there! 13:53 Well, this is what we get for preaching a 13:57 name of Jesus and Philippine. 13:59 Oh, but don't be discouraged, 14:01 I would rather be bound by chains 14:03 and have the freedom to preach the word 14:06 of God. You know what, you are right Paul 14:09 I forget that sometimes I'm sorry. 14:11 Our God suffered greatly for us, 14:15 I countered joy to be at these chains for my God. 14:20 Did you see the faces of the people 14:22 when they saw that slave girl delivered 14:25 from the demons? That was miraculous; 14:27 she was set free the glow on her face makes 14:32 this all worthwhile, you are so right Paul, 14:35 and the slave owner, he wasn't too happy 14:38 with you. No, no but we must not be discouraged. 14:42 Our God is good, he is faithful to us. 14:45 What can we do to encourage some of the 14:48 prisoners. Then sing a song, 14:50 they don't want us to preach, 14:51 we will sing. We will sing, yes, 14:53 oh rejoice in the Lord always and again 14:57 I says rejoice. Quiet in there! Rejoice 15:00 in the Lord always that the end I says rejoice, 15:04 quite in there. Rejoice, rejoice and again 15:08 I say rejoice. Rejoice, rejoice, 15:12 quiet that singing, and again I say rejoice. 15:15 Silas do you feel that? I think it's an earthquake. 15:19 Look at, the guard is knocked out, 15:25 we can escape. No stay where you are, 15:27 don't move our God will protect us. 15:30 Guard, Guard, they are gone. 15:39 They are gone. Oh, I'm a doomed man. 15:43 My superior will take my life, 15:45 there is no help for me. I will just take 15:49 my life. Jailor stop! Wait, wait! Cause no 15:54 harm to yourself. Who is there? 15:57 It's I Paul and Silas, all of us here. 16:01 We are safe. We are safe. You are not here. 16:04 You thought prisoners have 16:05 escaped. What happened here? 16:08 What happened? There was an earthquake. 16:11 Earthquake! God has set us free, 16:14 our chains, the chains have been broken 16:18 and our God has saved us. Your God open 16:23 the locks of the chains without my key 16:26 what kind of God is He? He is the true God, 16:30 A powerful God! Is he forgiving God? 16:33 I've offended your God my whole life 16:37 and now here I'm, I'm doomed, 16:40 there is hope for me. Oh there is hope, 16:42 there is hope yes. What must I do, 16:49 to be saved can your God save someone 16:52 like me, believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. 16:58 Your God for forgive me. And you shall be saved, 17:01 you and your entire household. 17:04 I want to serve your God. I want to live for 17:08 him praise God, praise God. 17:12 Believe on him also. I do believe in your God. 17:25 Hi boys and girls, it's time for 17:26 Ms. Brenda's Book of the Day. 17:29 And today's book is about Esther, 17:32 it's called Esther a star is born by Bradley 17:34 Booth and this is the story of Queen Esther 17:37 in the Bible. Hi, Hannah. 17:58 Hi. Hannah I'm so glad you with us 18:00 and I want you to tell the boys and girls. 18:02 Something you made a decision to do right here 18:04 on kids time what is it? I'm gonna to get my 18:06 hair cut for 'locks of love'. For locks of love 18:09 and do you know what locks of love is? 18:12 It's where you donate your hair for kids 18:15 that have cancer. The kids who have cancer 18:18 or maybe other disease where they lose their 18:20 hairs, right. What I want to get this right, 20:05 what do I do? That's right; the hair needs to be 20:08 at least 10 inches long or longer. 20:12 We due for so much longer as possible, 20:14 make sure the hair is clean dry and then make sure 20:18 it's then a great of Pony Tail when you cut it off 20:21 that's really important. How many wigs you think you, 20:25 you have children in this organization is just 20:27 for children correct. It's that's right, 20:30 it's just for children and it's for children ages 20:33 21 and under and today we've been able to help 20:37 3000 children.
