00:01 It's almost time for Kids time,
00:03 we are gonna be late. It's time to share
00:06 there is a world out there looking for a
00:09 friend like Jesus. It's time to share there is
00:14 a world out there. Let's tell them that
00:17 He loves us so. Let's tell them that He
00:21 loves us so. Kids time, Kids time, Kids time.
00:30 Hi boys and girls, how are you feeling today?
00:33 Did you get a good night sleep last night?
00:35 We need lots of sleep to stay healthy,
00:37 don't we? Oh, I wish I gotten lot more sleep
00:42 just like Max, Max likes to sleep all the time,
00:45 have you ever felt like that? Sometimes,
00:47 I even wish that I could speed up time,
00:50 like when I am looking forward to seeing
00:51 my grandsons and I just can't wait.
00:54 Maybe you felt that way when you were looking
00:55 forward to your birthday or maybe to your
00:57 favorite holiday. You just want a time to
01:00 move along a little more quickly, but it
01:02 doesn't work that way does it? You can't
01:04 move time, no one can. So, isn't it strange
01:08 that there is a story in history about a day
01:11 when time moved backward, yup that's
01:14 right it really happened? Time moved back
01:17 a whole hour. We are going to here about
01:19 that day in our Bible story. You won't wanna
01:22 miss it and by the way I sure enjoy spending
01:25 time with you. Right now let's
01:28 get ready for our Nature Time.
01:36 Hi boys and girls welcome to Nature Time.
01:39 We are here in beautiful Western Montana
01:41 and I'm with my friend Lacy Deist.
01:43 She is a trainer here at Triple D Game
01:45 Farm and we have a very gorgeous special
01:49 guest today, and could you tell us Lacy
01:53 what's the name of our guest today?
01:54 His name is Lacoda. Lacoda.
01:57 He is a Thunder Wolf. Lacoda is a
01:59 thunder wolf. Now is a Thunder Wolf a type
02:02 of gray wolf or we are talking about
02:03 something entirely different. It's a type
02:05 of gray wolf, yeah. So, he is a subspecies
02:09 of the gray wolf. Where would be the
02:10 Thunder Wolf be found? The wolves that
02:14 we have here at our Game Farm,
02:16 they originate from the Brooks Range, Alaska.
02:19 And he is from the original string and then
02:22 we also you could find them kind in the
02:26 northern regions. Okay now he seems pretty
02:30 docile, pretty friendly. He is a little shy that's
02:33 good, but he seems pretty docile,
02:37 so is he a pet, is he trained. How is that,
02:40 that you can be holding on to him by his
02:42 leash there and not be getting you know
02:44 eat, haven't you ever read the story.
02:45 You know the big bad wolf. He is not a
02:50 big bad wolf. Okay. We bottle-raised him,
02:53 he was actually born at the farm here.
02:55 Okay. And he has been with us ever since
02:59 he could probably remember. How old is he?
03:02 He is two years old. Okay so he is not very old.
03:04 This is pretty big, a pretty big dog,
03:06 pretty big wolf for only two years old.
03:09 How much do you think, is Lacoda?
03:11 Yes. Lacoda, how much do you think
03:12 Lacoda weighs Lacy? Probably close to a
03:16 little or maybe 100 pounds. A 100 pounds,
03:17 is that typical or is he extra fat or is he
03:20 extra skinny is it. He is well fed.
03:23 He is well fed, okay. But, he is a big male
03:27 and he will be a little bit bigger as well so.
03:30 Now if he was living out in the wild with his
03:33 ancestors or his relatives that live there.
03:35 What would he be eating, probably different
03:37 than what he eats here at Triple D
03:38 Game Farm? He will probably be eating quite
03:41 a bit of deer. Okay, deer. Whatever else
03:45 they can get to really, but deer is their main
03:47 source. Now out there in Alaska I
03:50 understand the wolves eat like moose which
03:53 are huge they weigh you know over 1000
03:56 pounds, they can be seven feet high at the
03:57 shoulder. How would a wolf like this take down
04:01 a large mammal like a moose? Well they
04:06 would probably be looking for sick moose.
04:09 Okay. And they hunt together. So, they
04:11 hunt together, so Lacoda wouldn't hunt by
04:14 himself if he were up in Alaska typically he
04:17 would be, what do they call is that a pack?
04:19 A pack, yes. Okay, so wolf pack.
04:21 They would work together, I mean,
04:24 he couldn't take down a single moose himself.
04:26 So probably the alpha male, the alpha
04:29 female and their pups would be in a pack.
04:32 Okay. And they would work together.
04:34 And they would sort of team up on a harness.
04:36 Now I understand that what can happen
04:38 sometimes is that a couple of wolfs or wolfs
04:40 will chase for the pray for sometime until
04:44 he gets little tired and then another one
04:46 will pick up and another one will pick,
04:48 but you mentioned that primarily would
04:50 be maybe a sick animal or an injured animal
04:53 or young animal and they help to create a
04:56 balance in nature. They also would do what
04:59 we might call kind of call out the weak and
05:02 make a better heard actually the moose,
05:05 actually benefits from the presence of the
05:07 wolf. Correct. Now I know that here in
05:09 Northwest Montana, we also have wolfs and
05:12 they have been introduced back into the
05:15 former range in Montana. The Gray Wolf
05:17 is reintroduced into the Former Range.
05:20 In part of that for that reason is to try and
05:24 help keep a balance in nature. They also
05:26 move wild life, they move game species,
05:29 they keep them working back and forth
05:31 between important habitats. So, they don't
05:34 congregate in just one area. Right.
05:36 And so, I see wolf as a very important predator
05:40 if you will. Sure. Is that all that these wolfs,
05:45 they are strictly predators or do they
05:46 eat anything else. They are pretty much
05:49 strictly predators, sometimes if they have
05:52 stomachache or something they eat grass.
05:54 Okay, so he is a large predator on the
05:57 landscape very necessary especially in the
06:00 wilderness setting, especially in the area
06:02 where he is got lots of them. Now how much
06:04 territory would a pack take in. How much
06:06 country would pack sort of call their own?
06:10 I think they could travel quite a bit,
06:13 but they probably stand about the same areas.
06:16 In a relatively smaller area, I have heard it
06:18 estimates up to well over 100 even 200 square
06:21 miles if they have that ability and if game
06:25 is available to them. Sure. And they can move.
06:27 And they will travel long distances,
06:28 they get into a track and wolf can travel
06:30 long distances 30-40 miles in a night even
06:36 and so. They are fast animals.
06:37 That's incredible, boys and girls we
06:39 could talk about a wolf a long time.
06:40 I used to own a wolf in fact they are
06:42 marvelous animal, they are difficult to
06:44 train. Lacy is doing a great job. She has
06:46 kept Lacoda well under control. He is just
06:48 a beautiful, beautiful animal and we have
06:50 appreciate it so much you are being on our
06:53 program today and being willing to show us
06:56 this beautiful creature that God has created.
07:00 wild places, where he lives. Until next time,
07:03 boys and girls, this is Ranger Rod.
07:05 Lets all enjoy God's great outdoors.
09:46 Welcome to Learning Time. Thanks for
09:48 being a part of us today. You know today
09:49 we are gonna do an interesting science
09:51 experiment. Do you like to do science
09:53 experiments at home? Yes. Well this is one
09:56 that you can do at home, but you know,
09:58 we have got somebody is it a body or body
10:01 in here. We've got somebody that's brand
10:04 new to Kids Time. Would you welcome Max,
10:07 right here give Max a nice hand.
10:10 Well Max is a new member of Kids Time and
10:13 we are happy to have him too. I've got
10:16 three helpers and let's introduce those
10:18 three helpers right now. I've got Redman right
10:20 over here, Redman what's one of your most
10:23 favorite foods? I don't really know,
10:25 but I like my mom's cooking. Oh! Cool good
10:28 for moms cooking. How many of you
10:29 like your moms cooking? You better all say
10:31 yes, oh yeah moms cooking. And then I've
10:35 got Trendy over here. Trendy what's one of
10:37 your favorite foods? I like to say spaghetti.
10:41 Spaghetti, how many of you like spaghetti?
10:43 Oh I love spaghetti as well. Then I have
10:46 got Joshua over here. Joshua what's one of
10:51 Celery. Well, how many likes celery?
10:54 I do too; you put stuff on your celery?
10:56 Peanut butter. Peanut butter we put all
10:57 kinds of stuff on celery, me too.
10:59 Hey today I want my helpers to come up here.
11:02 We are gonna mix up something and this
11:04 might be great for you to try. Come on
11:06 up here, we have got some things up here;
11:08 let's take a look at what this is. We have
11:10 got some whipping cream right here and we
11:12 used that in cooking sometimes don't we?
11:14 Okay now we have a jar, so at home all
11:16 you need to have is a jar, maybe you can
11:18 do this at home. If you need some help
11:20 make sure you get a little bit of help.
11:22 What I am gonna do is we are gonna put that
11:23 jar right here. Let's see Joshua,
11:25 why don't you go ahead, could you pour some
11:27 of that whipping cream in the jar,
11:28 maybe about a half, okay, fill it up half full,
11:32 so find a container could be plastic or glass,
11:35 if its glass be very careful because it could
11:36 break, right. And then you need to have a
11:39 lid, so you got to put the lid really, really tight.
11:42 Okay, great now Trendy why don't you go
11:43 and put the lid on there for us. What do
11:45 you suppose we are gonna make Trendy,
11:46 do you have any idea? You have any idea?
11:50 No. Wow good this is gonna be a surprise.
11:54 How many of ever had butter?
11:55 Anybody have eaten butter? Right well
11:57 you can make your own butter at home
11:59 and it's real simple and I'm gonna teach
12:01 you how. So we have got our container right
12:03 and we put it half full of whipping cream,
12:05 okay and its on real make sure it's on real
12:08 tight otherwise you could have a real mess
12:09 in your hands. You know what we do now.
12:11 What? We just take it and we go like this
12:15 you just shake it, you just keep that cream
12:17 moving, isn't that interesting and pretty soon
12:20 you will have butter. So, why don't you do
12:22 that about 10 times or 20 times and pass
12:24 it to Trendy and then back to Redman.
12:28 And we are just gonna change you now
12:29 because you get tired right up shaking it.
12:32 So, you can give all your friends together or
12:33 your family you can do this before you have
12:35 supper and you can make your own butter
12:37 isn't that cool. Now how in the world this
12:39 had happened? Well we have got this stuff
12:41 right here that's called cream, now this is
12:43 whipping cream and it's a liquid isn't it?
12:45 Oh it's a liquid and I don't think I wanna
12:47 drink straight cream that would be really
12:49 rich. But, you know what happens when we
12:51 shake it? Its starts to we have a physical
12:55 change, you know what physical change is?
12:59 Anybody know what a physical change is?
13:00 What is the physical change?
13:01 When something changes. That's right
13:03 when something changes. I've got a peace
13:05 of paper in my pocket it's like a paper
13:08 towel right. Now if I take that paper towel and
13:11 if I crush it all up like that into a little tinny
13:14 ball that's what we call a physical change.
13:17 Did the paper change into a rock?
13:19 No. No or some kind of chemical? No. No
13:22 we just change the physical appearance of
13:25 it right. So, what happens inside that
13:27 liquid it gets to a physical change actually.
13:31 We are gonna change that liquid into a
13:32 solid which is going to be little butterball.
13:35 Are you ready for doing that? Yeah.
13:38 I think so, so how we are going in there?
13:40 Now this will take you about maybe 10 minutes
13:42 or so. So, what we did was we made
13:44 some of this ahead of time and the inside of
13:46 this little glass jug right here, as you shake
13:48 the cream back and forth, back and forth
13:51 cream is full of fat, right? And of course
13:53 we don't want to eat a lot of fat.
13:55 But, those fat molecules, it's a larger molecule
13:57 and as you shake it back and forth you know
13:59 what happens? The fat molecules they start
14:01 to stick to each other. That's right they
14:03 start to getting sticky that's all I could say
14:05 about it. They start to get stickier, stickier,
14:07 stickier pretty soon you end up with the
14:09 butterball right inside of your container,
14:11 hey lets open this thing up lets check this
14:13 out wow. And you know what we have got
14:16 some, we have some liquid inside of there,
14:18 part of that is a liquid and part of that is a
14:21 big chunk of butter. Can you see a big chunk
14:23 of butter in there? Is just kind of floating
14:26 around in fact what I'm gonna do is this,
14:28 yeah I'm gonna pour some of this out.
14:30 Now the liquid is very interesting because
14:32 the liquid is what we could consider buttermilk,
14:35 you wanna taste that? You don't have to if
14:37 you don't want to okay. But, its buttermilk,
14:39 it's very sweet and it's not sour at all.
14:42 You want to taste a little bit of it?
14:43 Do you like that? It's interesting.
14:47 He doesn't like it what it is. You want to taste
14:49 part of it, you don't have to okay just a
14:50 little bit, okay so that's really, that's really
14:53 butter milk, okay. And then you know what
14:55 we have got that big fat glob right inside
14:58 here and that's our butterball and that's
15:00 what we are going to spread on the crackers
15:02 and eat. So, I'm gonna just go ahead and dump
15:04 that out right here, wow you see that.
15:08 That's a big old chunk of butter,
15:09 hey that's interesting, Trendy why don't
15:11 you go ahead and put some of that on a
15:13 cracker and we can all have some butter
15:16 crackers and this is fresh butter. There is no
15:19 preservatives that's cool isn't it? Yes.
15:22 And you can put a little salt in there when
15:24 you start shaking it up and that really
15:26 improves the taste as well. And you can go
15:28 ahead take a bite, tell us what you think and you
15:31 can give one here you go try. Wow how it
15:34 tastes? Good. Does it taste like butter?
15:38 Yes. It's real butter and it's real fresh.
15:41 You know enough we have some left over,
15:44 if we have some left over I'm sure the Max
15:46 would clean the plate wouldn't he? Yes.
15:48 He would love to do that. You know that's very
15:50 interesting and you know what you know
15:52 when we make butter it reminds me of
15:54 something special. Do you know that butter is
15:57 mentioned in the Bible, how many of knew that?
16:00 Oh that's right butter is mentioned in the Bible,
16:03 so they have had butter for a very,
16:05 very long time and you can make it at home
16:08 before your supper and that would be great for
16:11 us to do. Hey remember boys and girls every
16:14 time we learn more about science,
16:16 we are learning more about our creator God.
16:40 Oh my good friend, oh how are you?
16:43 How are doing? It's good to see you shalom.
16:45 How is your family? Family is good.
16:47 How about yours? Excellent, excellent,
16:49 our Lord, he is good. He is good. Always
16:51 good. And have you heard the king is healed?
16:54 We've heard, that the whole town is hearing,
16:56 we are celebrating, we are happy,
16:58 we are pleased. Praise the Lord, praise the Lord,
17:00 of course. Have you heard the story?
17:02 Not in its full detail, no. Do you know anything
17:05 about it? Actually I got to witness the whole
17:08 thing; you know I work for the king, absolutely.
17:10 So, I was there. Can you share anything with us?
17:13 Oh yes, I would love to tell you the story.
17:15 Oh, please, please. You know a couple of weeks
17:17 ago King Hezekiah, he got a boil and always
17:22 when you get a boil it's very uncomfortable
17:23 and it hurts. Absolutely. But, usually it goes away.
17:27 Well Hezekiah just got worst and worst and he
17:30 got weaker and weaker and pretty soon he
17:33 wasn't even able to get out of the bed.
17:35 I was really worried about our king because
17:38 you know he is a God fearing man.
17:40 Absolutely, we know that all of Israel knows
17:42 that. One day the prophet Isaiah came into
17:45 the palace and I can tell by the look on his face,
17:48 he did not have good news. He came up and
17:51 he stood over Hezekiah's bed and he said
17:54 king your majesty, you need to get everything
17:57 in order because God has told me that you will
18:00 not get better, you will die. I was crushed,
18:05 and the king, the tears running down his face
18:08 he turned to wall and I can hear him praying,
18:11 he said oh God please heal me. I want to
18:15 live Father. And I turn and I saw Isaiah
18:19 walking away and I was so sad,
18:22 but soon Isaiah came back and at this time
18:26 he was smiling. Good new I suppose.
18:28 He did he said Hezekiah, the God has talk to me
18:32 and he said you will be healed. Praise the Lord.
18:36 In three days you will be able to go
18:38 to the temple and offer sacrifices.
18:41 Oh, Lord he is good. He is good
18:43 he said not only you be healed, but I will
18:45 give you 50 more years of life.
18:49 This was so amazing almost couldn't
18:51 believe it and Isaiah said and to help you
18:54 believe this will come true.
18:56 God will give you a sign. Do you see
18:59 the sundial right here; he said
19:01 I can make the shadow move forward
19:04 or backward 10 steps.
19:06 Tell me about that we have heard about that,
19:07 but it's confusing. He said Hezekiah you
19:10 get to chose, so Hezekiah looked and he said
19:12 well it's an easy thing for the sun to move forward.
19:15 We know that, yeah. I want the shadow
19:17 to move back. That's impossible,
19:19 that's impossible. Nothing is impossible
19:22 with our God my friend. Well, well true but
19:24 that's still impossible. Well Isaiah said
19:26 that it will happen and we stop and we looked at
19:30 the sundial and the shadow stop.
19:32 And then it moved backwards ten paces.
19:37 You were there. I saw it moved back.
19:39 Praise Lord. And that's not the end of the story.
19:43 Three days later guess who was walking
19:45 around in the temple? The king.
19:47 Praise Lord, you saw he was the king. He is healed.
19:49 Thank you Lord, thank you Lord.
19:52 Our God is amazing. We were praying for the king,
19:55 but of course it's our Lord he
19:57 is the one that heals of course.
19:58 Sometimes when I pray, I feel like maybe God
20:02 is not listening to me. How do you feel
20:04 when you go to the temple? Exactly the same,
20:05 you know, I don't think he is there but it
20:07 just doesn't feel like he is gonna respond to my prayers.
20:10 But after hearing this story it's changed.
20:13 I'm faithful, I believe, I believe.
20:16 Praise the Lord, I know the God hears our prayers.
20:19 He is the mighty God. Who can not only move
20:21 that sun, but he can heal us and he listens to us.
20:25 Oh, I'm gonna share this story with my family.
20:27 They need to give the story. They do. Praise the Lord.
20:30 Well I need to go. So do I, see you my friend,
20:32 shalom, shalom, shalom.
20:50 I have a Friend so precious, So very dear to me,
20:56 He loves me with a tender love He loves me faithfully;
21:02 I could not live apart from Him, I love to feel Him nigh;
21:09 And so we dwell together, My Lord and I.
21:16 I tell Him all my sorrows, I tell Him all my joys,
21:23 I tell Him all that pleases me, I tell Him what annoys;
21:29 He tells me what I ought to do, He tells me how to try;
21:36 And so we dwell together, My Lord and I.
21:56 Hi boys and girls, it's time for
21:58 Miss Brenda's Book of the Day.
22:00 And today's book is Guide's Greatest Angel Stories
22:05 and it's by Helen Lee Robinson and it's full
22:07 of miraculous stories about angels.
22:10 You won't want to miss a single one.
22:12 Well, I wanna introduce our guests today.
22:14 We have with us Caleb and Matthew.
22:17 Thank you Caleb and Matthew, where are you from?
22:19 From Ohio. From Ohio
22:21 and how old are you Caleb? 10, you are 10
22:23 and Matthew? 13. 10 and 13.
22:25 And I understand you have a really
22:28 special ministry what is it?
22:29 Well for birthdays, we raise money
22:34 and instead of getting birthday gifts.
22:37 Now how do you have a birthday and raise money.
22:39 Can you tell me about that Matthew?
22:41 Yes, we ask our relatives instead of
22:44 getting gifts to give some money and
22:47 we collect that money and we collect
22:48 and we send into projects
22:50 and ministries like that.
22:52 And so was that hard now, whose idea
22:55 was to come up with this to not have
22:58 birthday presents? Mommy and daddy.
23:00 It was so when they came to you and said
23:01 how do you feel about his or do they say it
23:03 has to be this way. They said
23:05 if you wanted to be this way. They gave you a choice
23:10 And what did you think about that?
23:12 I thought it was good idea. You did what did you think?
23:15 I thought it was good idea too. You did so;
23:17 you are all four now I don't know how many kids
23:18 will do that. What is the biggest reason that
23:21 you would be all four something like that?
23:22 Because we love Jesus so much that
23:25 we want to do something for him
23:28 since he does so much for us.

23:34 when you really out there you know doing
23:37 some for Jesus what's the benefit?
23:39 You are happy. That's right and
