It's time to share 00:00:08.12\00:00:13.82 there's a world out there; let's tell 00:00:13.85\00:00:17.07 them that He loves us so. 00:00:17.10\00:00:19.18 Let's tell them that He loves us so. 00:00:19.21\00:00:22.90 Kids Time, Kids Time, Kids Time 00:00:22.93\00:00:30.38 Hi boys and girls. When my friend Marc 00:00:30.69\00:00:33.28 was a little boy and his mother would 00:00:33.31\00:00:34.84 call him to come to supper or to do his homework, 00:00:34.87\00:00:36.99 he would always answer just a minute Mom. 00:00:37.02\00:00:40.28 Now, I'm sure you've never done 00:00:40.31\00:00:43.55 that right boys and girls, of course, not. 00:00:43.58\00:00:45.42 It's never a good idea to ignore your mom 00:00:45.45\00:00:48.12 or dad when they call you. Now I hate to admit it, 00:00:48.15\00:00:50.94 but even adults sometimes don't want 00:00:50.97\00:00:53.90 to come, when they are called. Now, 00:00:53.93\00:00:55.46 who calls adult you might ask? God calls them, 00:00:55.49\00:00:59.29 and sometimes they act just like Marc 00:00:59.32\00:01:02.00 did as a little boy and say, just a minute 00:01:02.03\00:01:04.81 God I'll come when I'm ready and that's not a 00:01:04.84\00:01:08.59 good idea, because every time God calls 00:01:08.62\00:01:11.52 it's for a very good reason. In our 00:01:11.55\00:01:14.91 story today, you'll hear about how God 00:01:14.94\00:01:16.99 called an entire nation of people to come 00:01:17.02\00:01:20.19 to him and they didn't want to listen either. 00:01:20.22\00:01:22.66 We'll hear all about it in just a few minutes, 00:01:22.69\00:01:25.50 but first let's get ready nature time right Max 00:01:25.53\00:01:30.63 let's go. 00:01:30.66\00:01:31.72 Hi boys and girls. Alright, you can. 00:02:17.67\00:02:20.43 Moms and Dads, boys and girls, you know 00:02:23.32\00:02:26.37 the Bible talks about something that's very, 00:02:26.40\00:02:28.27 very important and we're gonna talk about 00:02:28.30\00:02:30.26 it today a little bit. Creation, God created this 00:02:30.29\00:02:35.51 beautiful World in six days. He is also given 00:02:35.54\00:02:40.78 us the opportunity to create with him after 00:02:40.81\00:02:44.28 creation was finished you might say Ranger 00:02:44.31\00:02:46.67 Rod that's impossible only God can create life, 00:02:46.70\00:02:49.07 only God really creates that's true, but he gives 00:02:49.10\00:02:52.32 us an opportunity to recreate. I mean, 00:02:52.35\00:02:55.40 recreate. Recreation is so important, 00:02:55.43\00:02:58.67 what these boys and girls are doing out here right 00:02:58.70\00:03:00.48 now is recreation. They're recreating vibrant 00:03:00.51\00:03:03.78 life, energy, a good attitude, it is so 00:03:03.81\00:03:07.56 much fun to spend time in out of doors 00:03:07.59\00:03:09.30 that God considers it recreation, recreation 00:03:09.33\00:03:13.92 as it work. Some of the most fun things 00:03:13.95\00:03:17.59 about recreation are canoeing. You saw Ranger 00:03:17.62\00:03:21.20 Jim and Colton as they headed out 00:03:21.23\00:03:23.16 into the lake to do a little canoeing here 00:03:23.19\00:03:25.05 with these beautiful mountains and the 00:03:25.08\00:03:26.91 background. Not every day that you can canoe, 00:03:26.94\00:03:28.87 or that you can play in the water with a 00:03:28.90\00:03:31.15 backdrop so majestic as the swan range 00:03:31.18\00:03:34.15 in the Swan Valley of Montana, what, boys 00:03:34.18\00:03:37.78 and girls you can recreate wherever you are. 00:03:37.81\00:03:39.81 There is many ways we can one of my very 00:03:39.84\00:03:41.52 favorite ways is to go hiking, you might 00:03:41.55\00:03:44.12 say hiking, why would I want to hike? Well, 00:03:44.15\00:03:47.20 there's many reasons to hike, one of them 00:03:47.23\00:03:48.59 its you woul like to arrive at a 00:03:48.62\00:03:49.68 certain location, and so you put on 00:03:49.71\00:03:52.16 your tennis shoes or your put on your 00:03:52.19\00:03:53.95 hikers or your flip flops and you head 00:03:53.98\00:03:56.87 out on a walk, that's kind of a hike. 00:03:56.90\00:03:58.74 Then you go on a hike for other reasons too, 00:03:58.77\00:04:01.39 what about observation? We talked on 00:04:01.42\00:04:03.45 about vernacular sometimes, we talk about 00:04:03.48\00:04:06.88 other things on Nature Time about 00:04:06.91\00:04:09.18 observing beautiful animals and 00:04:09.21\00:04:10.90 things and so observation is a reason to hike. 00:04:10.93\00:04:12.84 Another reason to hike, especially for 00:04:12.87\00:04:15.17 for you moms and dads is exercise, 00:04:15.20\00:04:16.89 we need exercise and God knows that, 00:04:16.92\00:04:20.02 that is part of the recreation process 00:04:20.05\00:04:22.35 is to get exercise. We say what if I 00:04:22.38\00:04:24.70 wanted to go for a hike or I wanted 00:04:24.73\00:04:26.26 to go canoe and I wanted to get out 00:04:26.29\00:04:27.90 and do some recreation, well what 00:04:27.93\00:04:29.40 would I need. Well first of all you need 00:04:29.43\00:04:31.40 a place to go, almost everywhere that 00:04:31.43\00:04:33.98 boys and girls live, either right close 00:04:34.01\00:04:36.76 to where they live or not far away. 00:04:36.79\00:04:38.28 There is a place to go and recreate a place 00:04:38.31\00:04:41.29 to go and have fun maybe a place to 00:04:41.32\00:04:42.72 enjoy the lake or a place to go for a 00:04:42.75\00:04:44.98 nice hike and you might ask what else 00:04:45.01\00:04:47.80 is need Ranger Rod that I might take 00:04:47.83\00:04:49.75 along on this hike. Well for sure you want 00:04:49.78\00:04:52.35 to have a comfortable fair pair of shoes 00:04:52.38\00:04:54.30 depending on the terrain where you're gonna 00:04:54.33\00:04:55.72 to be walking maybe they need lot 00:04:55.75\00:04:57.12 of traction if you get to be going up 00:04:57.15\00:04:58.51 and down hills, like the trails that are up 00:04:58.54\00:05:00.51 here in these beautiful mountains 00:05:00.54\00:05:02.26 you want to have shoes that have good 00:05:02.29\00:05:04.11 traction, maybe where you're gonna walk 00:05:04.14\00:05:06.07 or where you're going to hike is along 00:05:06.10\00:05:08.25 a path in a city park that's great you 00:05:08.28\00:05:10.84 wouldn't necessarily need to have hikers. 00:05:10.87\00:05:12.63 Boys and girls something else that you 00:05:12.66\00:05:15.71 need to have is you need to 00:05:15.74\00:05:16.71 have the proper clothes. 00:05:16.72\00:05:17.69 Make sure that you cover your sensitive skin 00:05:17.71\00:05:19.95 with a light shirt or at least wear some 00:05:19.98\00:05:23.09 sunblock so you don't get a sun burn 00:05:23.12\00:05:24.47 if it's in the summer time, another thing 00:05:24.50\00:05:27.02 that's very, very important and I'm gonna 00:05:27.05\00:05:28.29 grab something right here and show you 00:05:28.32\00:05:30.15 depending on the kind of hike that you 00:05:33.10\00:05:34.58 want to go on you might need a pair of 00:05:34.61\00:05:36.43 hiking poles, if you look here these 00:05:36.46\00:05:38.35 are specially designed to be very 00:05:38.38\00:05:39.75 comfortable while you walk along, especially 00:05:39.78\00:05:42.87 Ranger Rod uses these when I go 00:05:42.90\00:05:44.57 backpacking, if I put a very heavy pack 00:05:44.60\00:05:46.84 on my back maybe 60 to 70 pounds, 00:05:46.87\00:05:48.59 these hiking poles can help a lot when 00:05:48.62\00:05:51.47 you're climbing a high mountain trail 00:05:51.50\00:05:53.44 all day long, hiking poles are very important. 00:05:53.47\00:05:56.91 Another thing that you might want to 00:05:56.94\00:05:58.85 have along would be a small pack 00:05:58.88\00:06:01.46 that you could wear on your back that 00:06:01.49\00:06:02.71 you could carry something's that you 00:06:02.74\00:06:03.83 might need, some of the things 00:06:03.86\00:06:05.08 you might need would be maybe 00:06:05.11\00:06:07.32 a rain jacket, in case the weather change. 00:06:07.35\00:06:09.64 Sometimes that can happen, and you 00:06:09.67\00:06:12.14 can get caught out in the weather, 00:06:12.17\00:06:13.20 so take along a rain jacket, one of the 00:06:13.23\00:06:15.94 most important thing you can take 00:06:15.97\00:06:17.17 along on a hike that's right some water, 00:06:17.20\00:06:20.56 make sure that you stay hydrated. 00:06:20.59\00:06:22.39 You want to drink lots of water, 00:06:22.42\00:06:23.95 when you're hiking. Well you know there 00:09:44.58\00:09:47.35 are some stories in the Bible about King 00:09:47.38\00:09:49.32 and this King went to a fortune teller. 00:09:49.35\00:09:52.36 Do you remember who that King might have 00:09:52.39\00:09:53.92 been? What is the name of that King? King Saul. 00:09:53.95\00:09:57.10 King Saul, that's right you know, did 00:09:57.13\00:09:58.70 God want King Saul or anybody to go to a person 00:09:58.73\00:10:02.50 that could tell their fortune. No. 00:10:02.53\00:10:04.14 No, not at all, but King Saul did and 00:10:04.17\00:10:06.68 that was against what God was saying. 00:10:06.71\00:10:08.45 Hey, let's go ahead and take this little open 00:10:08.48\00:10:10.56 your envelop okay. And pull this thing 00:10:10.59\00:10:13.13 out and it's a little fish, look at that. 00:10:13.16\00:10:15.40 Now just look at the fish just look at it, 00:10:15.43\00:10:17.78 hold it by it's tail, it's a great 00:10:17.81\00:10:18.86 way to hold a fish. Anybody know 00:10:18.89\00:10:20.35 what this is made out of? What kind of 00:10:20.38\00:10:22.00 material do you think this is? Plastic. 00:10:22.03\00:10:24.40 It looks like plastic doesn't it. Yep. 00:10:24.43\00:10:25.86 But you know what it is, it's cellophane 00:10:25.89\00:10:27.39 and cellophane is a wood product, very 00:10:27.42\00:10:29.60 interesting thing. Now, what we're gonna 00:10:29.63\00:10:31.36 to do is I'm gonna to have you 00:10:31.39\00:10:32.36 hold your hand out like this. And I want 00:10:32.37\00:10:34.91 you to put it right in your hand and let's 00:10:34.94\00:10:36.84 observe the little fish, observe it. 00:10:36.87\00:10:39.34 What does it do, what is it. Okay let's go of it, 00:10:39.37\00:10:42.93 here you go and what does our little fish do? 00:10:42.96\00:10:44.81 What is happening to yours? Curls up, 00:10:44.84\00:10:48.05 It's curling up and it's look at that it's 00:10:48.08\00:10:51.35 flopping over and yours just jump right 00:10:51.38\00:10:53.64 out of your hand, look at that. Now what 00:10:53.67\00:10:56.19 causes that little fish to curl up and jump 00:10:56.22\00:10:59.28 out of our hands, what do you think? 00:10:59.31\00:11:00.87 Steven, heat, well it could be the heat 00:11:00.90\00:11:04.02 of our hand but no, but that's a 00:11:04.05\00:11:05.63 very good guess. You think it you 00:11:05.66\00:11:07.04 know what it might be? Static, right it 00:11:07.07\00:11:10.62 could static electricity, but it's not. 00:11:10.65\00:11:12.53 You know it's okay to be wrong isn't it. 00:11:12.56\00:11:14.04 Yeah we learned lots of things by 00:11:14.07\00:11:16.17 being wrong don't we? That's right, 00:11:16.20\00:11:17.67 but you know what it is? What do you suppose it is? 00:11:17.70\00:11:20.01 What causes that little fish to curl up and 00:11:20.04\00:11:22.85 sometimes just curl right up your hand? 00:11:22.88\00:11:24.78 What do you think it is? It's something that 00:11:24.81\00:11:27.05 everybody has what do we have? 00:11:27.08\00:11:29.44 Air, electricity. We have moisture don't we? 00:11:29.47\00:11:31.88 We've got moisture in our bodies. This, 00:11:31.91\00:11:34.04 this little fish responds to the moisture 00:11:34.07\00:11:37.06 that's in our skin isn't that interesting? Yes. 00:11:37.09\00:11:39.37 And it curls up. Do you think that water is 00:11:39.40\00:11:42.07 really important for us? Yes. That's right, 00:11:42.10\00:11:44.49 every cell of our body has water 00:11:44.52\00:11:46.31 in it did you know that? Every body system 00:11:46.34\00:11:48.97 that we have needs water. So how many 00:11:49.00\00:11:51.37 of you have plenty of water today? 00:11:51.40\00:11:52.80 Oh we got to get plenty of water that's 00:11:52.83\00:11:55.05 right about 98% of the water in our body 00:11:55.08\00:11:58.55 happens in our tissues, every tissue 00:11:58.58\00:12:00.42 needs water and about 24% of that water 00:12:00.45\00:12:03.08 needs to be in between tissues. We need 00:12:03.11\00:12:05.26 water even in between tissues interesting 00:12:05.29\00:12:08.10 isn't it? And then about 8% happens to be 00:12:08.13\00:12:10.63 in our blood, is your blood 00:12:10.66\00:12:12.14 an important thing? Yes. 00:12:12.17\00:12:13.60 Oh yeah. What would happen if we 00:12:13.63\00:12:14.91 didn't have enough water in our blood? 00:12:14.94\00:12:16.31 It would get what, thick you want to 00:12:16.34\00:12:19.89 thick blood? No. I don't need it. 00:12:19.92\00:12:21.40 Well this is an interesting little experiment 00:12:21.43\00:12:23.39 and it responds to the moisture in our skin, 00:12:23.42\00:12:26.17 but you know what I'm always reminded 00:12:26.20\00:12:28.18 that you know no one can tell us the future 00:12:28.21\00:12:30.36 except for God and the Bible can tell our 00:12:30.39\00:12:33.52 future can it? Oh that's right, the Bible 00:12:33.55\00:12:36.11 tells us what our future is and our futures 00:12:36.14\00:12:38.82 are to be in heaven with God and 00:12:38.85\00:12:41.22 live with him forever right. Yes. 00:12:41.25\00:12:43.39 That's really, our future that's interesting, 00:12:43.42\00:12:45.46 and remember boys and girls whenever, 00:12:45.49\00:12:48.07 we learned more about science we 00:12:48.10\00:12:50.15 learned more about our creator, God. 00:12:50.18\00:12:54.29 Hi boys and girls. Welcome to talk time. 00:13:00.17\00:13:02.42 I'm here with our Kids Time pastor, 00:13:02.45\00:13:04.43 pastor Ronalds, hi pastor. 00:13:04.46\00:13:06.31 Hi Miss Brenda, how are you today? 00:13:06.34\00:13:07.32 And of course we are here with Maxwell too. 00:13:07.35\00:13:09.12 He's a very attentive dog isn't he? Yes. 00:13:09.15\00:13:12.76 He is a good boy, oh he is going to 00:13:12.79\00:13:15.76 sleep already. We cannot keep Maxwell awake, 00:13:15.79\00:13:18.93 can we? But anyway, I have a lot of questions 00:13:18.96\00:13:21.83 I want to get started right away, lets 00:13:21.86\00:13:23.77 pull one out of the basket here. Let's do. 00:13:23.80\00:13:26.02 This one is, not, someone did not sign the name, 00:13:26.05\00:13:29.74 if you do not go to church will God let you 00:13:29.77\00:13:32.73 still go to heaven? 00:13:32.76\00:13:33.73 If you do not go to church, you know I guess 00:13:33.74\00:13:37.00 it depends on why you don't go to church. 00:13:37.03\00:13:38.65 God loves us and Salvation is based on 00:13:38.68\00:13:41.51 one thing and one thing only, believe on the 00:13:41.54\00:13:43.23 Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved. 00:13:43.26\00:13:45.59 Acts 16:32, we're not saved by our good 00:13:45.62\00:13:48.91 works or our good deeds we're saved by Jesus' 00:13:48.94\00:13:51.41 righteousness, but you know what, God 00:13:51.44\00:13:53.72 really wants us to go to church. He wants us 00:13:53.75\00:13:55.68 to worship him there right Miss Brenda. 00:13:55.71\00:13:57.30 Yes, he does. He even tells us that 00:13:57.33\00:13:58.45 in the Bible and he tells us together, together. 00:13:58.48\00:14:00.09 He says forsake not the fellow-shipping 00:14:00.12\00:14:02.14 of yourselves together as is the manner 00:14:02.17\00:14:03.81 of some, he says that in the Book of Hebrews. 00:14:03.84\00:14:05.19 He wants us to go to church to worship 00:14:05.22\00:14:07.84 him and to fellowship with other Christians 00:14:07.87\00:14:09.74 so that they can help us to be better 00:14:09.77\00:14:11.31 Christians and stronger. So, I would 00:14:11.34\00:14:13.28 encourage you, you know God may 00:14:13.31\00:14:15.41 not keep you out of heaven because 00:14:15.44\00:14:16.72 you are not going to church it depends on 00:14:16.75\00:14:17.93 why you don't go to church, but I want 00:14:17.96\00:14:19.19 to encourage you to go to church if you can. 00:14:19.22\00:14:21.16 But some people that are you know 00:14:21.19\00:14:22.48 bedridden or sick they not able to get 00:14:22.51\00:14:24.85 up and go to church. That's true. 00:14:24.88\00:14:26.34 And so God knows to each one of them. 00:14:26.37\00:14:28.40 They're home bound, there are some people 00:14:28.43\00:14:29.40 don't have a church where they live. 00:14:29.41\00:14:30.38 Exactly, there is a question I receive today 00:14:30.39\00:14:32.47 from a boy name James, he is eight years old 00:14:32.50\00:14:35.22 and he wants to know his grandfather 00:14:35.25\00:14:37.79 is very sick and about ready to die. 00:14:37.82\00:14:39.55 And he wanted to know, when Jesus comes 00:14:39.58\00:14:43.24 again and we go to heaven. How will he 00:14:43.27\00:14:45.88 recognize his grandpa well his grandpa be 00:14:45.91\00:14:48.26 sick still with all tubes coming out of 00:14:48.29\00:14:50.53 his nose and all of the hospitals equipment. 00:14:50.56\00:14:52.71 Well his grandpa looks really old and withered 00:14:52.74\00:14:55.37 up? How would he recognize his grandpa? 00:14:55.40\00:14:57.43 You know Miss Brenda. In James that sounds like 00:14:57.85\00:14:59.75 a question that comes from the heart doesn't it? Yes. 00:14:59.78\00:15:01.86 But you know the Bible has so much hope to our 00:15:02.42\00:15:04.17 friends. It tells us in First Corinthians chapter 15, 00:15:04.20\00:15:07.10 that when Jesus comes this mortal will put on 00:15:07.81\00:15:10.55 immortality and this corruptible will put on 00:15:10.58\00:15:13.42 incorruption, in other words in the twinkling of 00:15:13.45\00:15:15.53 an eye, he is gonna give us new bodies. 00:15:15.56\00:15:17.86 And we'll be if you were old you will be young again 00:15:18.50\00:15:20.67 and you will be strong and healthy and your grandpa, 00:15:20.70\00:15:22.71 you will recognize him for we will know even as we 00:15:22.74\00:15:25.32 are known you've be able to recognize him and 00:15:25.35\00:15:27.35 by looking at him, but he's not gonna look sick anymore. 00:15:27.38\00:15:29.14 He is gonna to look healthy, he is gonna to look young, 00:15:29.17\00:15:31.46 he is gonna be jumping, he is gonna to be happy 00:15:31.49\00:15:33.08 to see you James on that special day. 00:15:33.11\00:15:35.32 And he won't be hurting at all. 00:15:35.35\00:15:36.32 And there would be no pain you won't be 00:15:36.33\00:15:37.83 hurting again, ever again. 00:15:37.86\00:15:39.19 That's right; okay I think we've time for one more 00:15:39.22\00:15:41.22 question. This one is from Jordan Lord. 00:15:41.25\00:15:44.59 He is six years old, if we can't hear God, 00:15:45.24\00:15:47.58 how can he help us to make the right choices? 00:15:47.61\00:15:50.26 If we can't hear God, you know the first place 00:15:50.90\00:15:52.62 that we can go to, to know what God wants us 00:15:52.65\00:15:56.00 to do is his word. Yes. Right, Miss Brenda. Yes. 00:15:56.03\00:15:59.15 And you read the word and it's very plain. 00:15:59.18\00:16:00.88 We all have an opportunity to open the Bible 00:16:00.91\00:16:03.60 and we could read it and we discover what God 00:16:03.63\00:16:05.44 wants us to do. And we also communicate to God through 00:16:05.47\00:16:08.86 prayer and you know if you listen to very close 00:16:08.89\00:16:11.44 to God has other ways of communicating with us too. 00:16:11.47\00:16:13.89 He can communicate with us through our spiritual leaders, 00:16:13.92\00:16:16.26 through our parents, through our Kids Time program 00:16:16.29\00:16:19.48 and you know there are so many ways that God 00:16:19.51\00:16:21.47 can communicate with us. 00:16:21.50\00:16:22.98 And the Holy Spirit impressing on our hearts. 00:16:23.01\00:16:24.25 And the Holy Spirit, but the first place we want to go to, 00:16:24.28\00:16:26.47 to know what God would like to us to do is the Bible. 00:16:26.50\00:16:29.99 The Bible, that's right. So we can always listen. 00:16:30.02\00:16:32.20 Alright, I didn't think we have one more question 00:16:32.23\00:16:35.70 time for one more question here and this one 00:16:36.26\00:16:38.35 is from Javin Hislop. He is 10 years old, 00:16:38.38\00:16:41.92 why does God allow us to suffer? 00:16:41.95\00:16:43.95 That's a hard question. You know God does not want 00:16:44.82\00:16:47.40 any of us to suffer. I believe that God that 00:16:47.43\00:16:49.77 when he looks down on this earth and he sees 00:16:49.80\00:16:51.22 us suffering, he is sad. Yes. His heart cries. 00:16:51.25\00:16:54.32 He doesn't want us to suffer. Suffering 00:16:54.35\00:16:55.35 is the result of sin and you know sin infected 00:16:55.99\00:16:59.68 this earth when Adam and Eve made a bad choice 00:16:59.71\00:17:02.24 to listen to Satan instead of God and when they 00:17:02.27\00:17:04.26 chose that, they chose sin for the entire Human 00:17:04.29\00:17:06.93 race and we are all infected by sin and we all make 00:17:06.96\00:17:10.49 mistakes and sin that's the reason we suffer not 00:17:10.52\00:17:12.63 because God wants us to suffer, right, 00:17:12.66\00:17:14.32 but because we are in infected by and 00:17:14.35\00:17:15.96 we're struggling with the disease of sin. 00:17:15.99\00:17:17.60 That's right. Well boys and girls if you have a question 00:17:17.63\00:17:20.68 for pastor Ronald, you can mail them to 3ABN or 00:17:20.71\00:17:23.91 email them to me at this address kidstime@3abn.org, 00:17:23.94\00:17:29.09 because your questions are important to us 00:17:29.12\00:17:31.44 and your questions important to Jesus. 00:17:31.47\00:17:34.58 Rabbi, I hear Jerusalem is going to be destroyed. 00:17:40.67\00:17:44.29 Jerusalem will never be destroyed. 00:17:44.32\00:17:45.91 That's the funniest thing I ever heard. 00:17:45.94\00:17:47.99 God has blessed it. It will never fall. 00:17:48.02\00:17:51.09 You realty got think it won't fall. Mother I heard them 00:17:51.68\00:17:53.69 talking over at the market place they say the city 00:17:53.72\00:17:55.86 is going to be destroyed, is it true? 00:17:55.89\00:17:57.49 Oh, no dear it's not true it's just rumor. 00:17:57.52\00:17:59.93 I don't believe it's a rumor? Oh I do. 00:18:01.14\00:18:03.23 I believe the city will be destroyed. 00:18:03.26\00:18:05.59 Oh never, get out of here you foolish old woman. It 00:18:05.62\00:18:08.45 will. And today's book is called Summer 00:21:49.42\00:21:55.01 of the Sharks and it's by Sally Streib and it looks 00:21:55.04\00:21:59.34 like a scary book to me, but our guest today's told me 00:21:59.37\00:22:02.92 that you've read this book haven't you. 00:22:02.95\00:22:04.81 We have Nina and we have Sarah with us today. 00:22:05.50\00:22:08.86 Have you read this book Sarah? No. 00:22:08.89\00:22:11.01 You haven't, so you would highly recommend. 00:22:11.24\00:22:12.81 It's great book. It's a great book. Well, this says, 00:22:12.84\00:22:15.87 when twelve-year-old twins Eric and Susan move 00:22:16.91\00:22:19.25 in with their aunt, they never dreamed that they will 00:22:19.28\00:22:21.37 end up on a remote island paradise in the Bahamas 00:22:21.40\00:22:23.58 for a coral reef restoration project, and it says Susan 00:22:23.61\00:22:27.46 bubbles over with excitement, but 00:22:27.49\00:22:29.12 the thought of cruising around in a large ocean 00:22:29.15\00:22:31.56 of creepy and dangerous fish, Eric's thinking, 00:22:31.59\00:22:35.59 I'm not gonna tell you the story, should we tell them? 00:22:36.32\00:22:37.80 No, let them read the book. Texas. 00:22:54.00\00:22:57.33 From Texas. Miss Brenda love Texas. In fact, 00:22:57.36\00:22:59.44 I took my nurses training in Texas and I love the people 00:22:59.47\00:23:02.82 in Texas and my daddy used to be a pastor there 00:23:02.85\00:23:04.86 for many years. So I love Texas. Tell me, 00:23:04.89\00:23:07.95 can you tell me, what you do there in Texas 00:23:08.98\00:23:10.67 to share Jesus? We go to retirement 00:23:10.70\00:23:13.48 centers on Sabbath and pray with the people. 00:23:13.51\00:23:16.94 You do, well that's nice. Some of the people, 00:23:17.69\00:23:20.44 have you met some people that are really lonely? 00:23:20.47\00:23:22.54 Yes. And you stay and talked to them a little bit. 00:23:23.59\00:23:25.18 Yes. You do and I understand you actually 00:23:25.81\00:23:28.18 take something give them a gift, 00:23:28.21\00:23:29.58 what do you give them? Bibles. 00:23:29.61\00:23:31.00 Now, do they get to keep that, that's their own Bible 00:23:31.76\00:23:33.93 or do they you have to take it back with you? 00:23:33.96\00:23:35.98 They can keep that. They get to keep it. 00:23:36.01\00:23:38.34 So, when you take them a Bible you actually give 00:23:38.37\00:23:40.19 them Bible, Bibles away. Yes. 00:23:40.22\00:23:42.69 Oh that's wonderful, thank you Sarah. 00:23:42.72\00:23:44.87 Nina, what do you do to share Jesus? 00:23:45.45\00:23:47.10 I give my money to ADRA. 00:23:47.13\00:23:49.15 You give your money to ADRA and what is ADRA? 00:23:50.07\00:23:52.20 ADRA is an Adventist Disaster Relief Association. 00:23:52.89\00:23:56.61 Okay and what does ADRA do? 00:23:57.13\00:23:58.33 Well, if you send them money like sometimes 00:23:59.29\00:24:02.18 you get to pick what you want to buy and then they give 00:24:02.21\00:24:05.10 that stuff to a certain person like a goat, 00:24:05.13\00:24:08.92 chickens and to people that need that stuff 00:24:08.95\00:24:11.97 they give it to. Okay, because that helps 00:24:12.00\00:24:13.94 them with food and goats give them milk and let 00:24:13.97\00:24:17.53 me ask you this, why do you have such a love 00:24:17.56\00:24:22.19 for raising money for ADRA? 00:24:22.22\00:24:24.60 Because I know, I know what it feels like to be hungry. 00:24:25.17\00:24:27.89 You do, you've been hungry before? 00:24:28.49\00:24:29.84 And you lived in a home where there wasn't a lot 00:24:30.79\00:24:33.93 of food was there? And, but now you've been adopted 00:24:33.96\00:24:37.79 and you live in a wonderful Christian home and you 00:24:38.58\00:24:41.23 get to have all kinds of food now don't you. 00:24:41.26\00:24:44.41 Have you've been hungry now? Not hungry anymore. 00:24:44.44\00:24:46.84 So we want to love each other and give food to those 00:24:47.35\00:24:49.15 who don't have it don't we. And, what did you 00:24:49.18\00:24:51.84 bring with you today? I brought some money. 00:24:51.87\00:24:54.57 You brought some money. And I'll tell you the story. 00:24:55.17\00:24:58.08 Okay. I was coming out of Tigo with my mom, 00:24:58.11\00:25:01.47 we were shopping and I was my I was looking 00:25:01.50\00:25:05.10 at my feet and I saw a 20 dollar bill in the dirt. 00:25:05.13\00:25:08.22 Wow. And I said mommy come over here 00:25:08.72\00:25:10.17 and look at this and she came over and she said well, 00:25:10.20\00:25:13.05 okay, you can have it and she said but you know 00:25:13.08\00:25:17.12 it's not yours to keep you can give it away and she 00:25:17.15\00:25:19.92 said because you have money now so, I just 00:25:19.95\00:25:21.90 I kept on thinking what am I got give it to I'm not 00:25:22.46\00:25:25.20 gonna to give it to ADRA and all of the sudden 00:25:25.23\00:25:27.59 I said I want to give it to Kids Time. 00:25:27.62\00:25:29.14 Oh Nina thank you so much. You know one of the 00:25:29.82\00:25:34.20 reason that you seem to always find money don't you, 00:25:34.23\00:25:36.30 and why is that? Well, I, before I used to look 00:25:36.33\00:25:43.05 for money a lot. I used to look for it because 00:25:43.08\00:25:45.45 I think I used to think that I needed money. 00:25:45.48\00:25:47.46 So, but now I don't need money anymore. 00:25:48.23\00:25:50.36 So I don't look for it. As sometimes God just brings 00:25:50.39\00:25:53.13 it to me and I give it to the people that need it. 00:25:53.16\00:25:56.15 Because you, before you adopted you lived in a 00:25:56.18\00:25:58.58 home you know you really weren't taking care of. 00:25:58.61\00:26:01.27 So you were always scavenging around looking 00:26:01.30\00:26:03.31 for money, 'cause you knew that you was trying 00:26:03.34\00:26:05.58 to buy food and stuff even you know as a young 00:26:05.61\00:26:08.03 little girl. So, I'm and you've been adopted now 00:26:08.06\00:26:12.01 what for a year? Three years, I think. 00:26:12.04\00:26:15.92 Three years. Almost four. 00:26:15.95\00:26:16.92 Almost four years. So God's been really good to you and, 00:26:16.93\00:26:19.86 and what's the best thing about being adopted? 00:26:19.89\00:26:21.78 Is that I have Christian parents and I like 00:26:21.81\00:26:24.34 to watch Kids Time. Well praise the Lord; 00:26:24.37\00:26:27.26 I'm so glad for that. Well I want to thank you so much 00:26:27.29\00:26:30.04 Sarah and for Nina for sharing Jesus and how you 00:26:30.07\00:26:33.21 witness today I really appreciate that. 00:26:33.24\00:26:34.89 Boys and girls I want to encourage you to, 00:26:34.92\00:26:37.08 be an example for Jesus that you are going out there, 00:26:37.11\00:26:40.20 witness every chance you get, 00:26:40.23\00:26:41.36 its Kids Time to share Jesus. 00:26:41.39\00:26:44.37
