00:01 It's almost time for Kid's Time, we're gonna be late.
00:04 It's time to share there's a world out there, 00:08 Looking for a friend like Jesus. 00:12 It's time to share there's a world out there; 00:15 let's tell them that He loves us so. 00:20 Let's tell them that He loves us so. 00:23 Kids Time, Kids Time, Kids Time. 00:30 Hi, boys and girls, have you ever wondered how 00:33 to tell who your true friends are. I know, 00:35 I have sometimes it's kind a hard to figure out isn't? 00:40 Our true friends always fun to be with doing 00:42 nice things for you like giving you presents. 00:44 I've done lot of thinking about what it means 00:47 to be a true friend and I come a lot of reading 00:50 and praying about it too. Did you know that the 00:52 Bible has plenty to say about friendship? 00:54 In fact you can find out, how tell who your true 00:58 friends are by reading the Bible stories. 01:01 Today's Bible story is about three friends, 01:03 who show their friendship not by giving gifts or 01:06 being funny. But by standing together for what was right, 01:09 even though it's seem like the whole rest of the world 01:12 was against them. Boys and girls I pray for you every 01:15 day and I'm specially praying that each of you will 01:18 be that kind of friend a true friend to others. 01:22 Right now, let's get ready for Nature Time. 01:31 Hi, boys and girls, welcome to Nature Time 01:34 we're up here in Western Montana, in fact we're 01:37 at very high elevation today. We're over 7000 feet 01:40 high above Logan pass and beautiful Glacier 01:43 National Park. Boys and girls I'm standing on a very 01:47 special patch snow, this snow was came down 01:52 here from this mountains up behind me as avalanche 01:57 snow. Avalanche is let's talk just little bit about a 02:00 force of nature, that is extremely powerful. 02:03 Now, some forces of nature are very subtle, 02:07 like the light rain that you might feel at the home 02:09 where you live or a light breeze or the sunshine. 02:14 But in Avalanche is very, very powerful and when 02:16 it breaks lose from high up here in this mountains 02:19 and these crazy rocks. It takes down everything 02:22 with it as it moves toward the meadows or the valley 02:24 below. This snow I'm standing on is probably close 02:27 to 25 feet deep, it's been accumulated here all 02:31 even a long as this snow slides down anytime 02:34 even a long as this snow slides down anytime 02:35 that the angle of the slope. That the snow 02:36 falls on, is over 30 degrees, there is potential 02:39 for a slide. Now, Avalanche slides come in many 02:42 different forms couple of the most common, 02:44 would be powder slide, which results from a lot 02:47 of snow falling that's very light and it just gets 02:51 to heavy for the mountain that it is on. 02:53 And it begins to slide down and begins to slide down. 02:56 Another slide which is more common is a slab 03:00 slide which accumulates over period of time 03:03 anywhere from few inches up to several feet. 03:06 And has time goes by the snow changes underneath 03:09 becomes ice crystals down underneath the first layer 03:13 of snow. As low size crystals form they create 03:16 a little bridge and the snow is actually hanging in 03:19 there on a little ice bridge. When condition arise, 03:22 sometimes it's a noise, sometimes it's a 03:24 vibration, sometimes it's for no apparent reason 03:27 that's slab of snow will that lose. 03:30 And it will begin to slide down the mountain when 03:33 that happens everything in its way is destroyed 03:37 or run over or smashed. like some of the trees 03:40 there we can see, that it bend in the way of 03:42 Avalanche huge trees. I've seen slopes were mammoth 03:46 trees are just flattened. Hundreds of acres of them 03:49 from one slide it just destroys and, 03:52 how many people would say that's too bad. 03:53 All those trees are destroyed that beautiful greenery 03:56 and yet an Avalanche is very, very important for 03:59 the environment high up here in this mountains. 04:01 Because what it does is, that clears away to trees 04:04 leaving his large Avalanche slopes. In fact you can 04:07 see some of those slopes may be up here 04:09 behind me. Some of those slopes are very important 04:11 because as the trees and large foliage is 04:14 wiped away. The grasses, the little mountain wild 04:17 flowers all of the little things that this small 04:19 animals and even a grizzly bear needs to eat this 04:23 corn cabbage, sometimes the cow parsnip the 04:25 Glacier little yeast all of this plants grow in this 04:29 open sunshine and that allows the food for the elk, 04:34 for the big horn sheep, for the mountain goat, 04:36 for the grizzly bear. Some of the smaller creatures 04:39 that we have seen, hurry mammoth , 04:40 the pica some of these little creatures very, 04:43 very necessary and not only for them. 04:45 But also for some of the predictors species 04:47 that they actually rely on those animals for 04:50 they very live and so up here in the mountains 04:52 this Avalanche are very, very necessary 04:55 and there are also very, very beautiful. 04:57 If you ever have an opportunity to travel 05:00 somewhere where the mountains are really tall, 05:02 where Avalanches can be take that opportunity 05:05 it's very, very beautiful. But be careful if 05:08 you ever out in the Avalanche country and 05:10 there is snow on the ground. This is snow is 05:12 very safe, very pack down but for Skiers for, 05:16 if you wanna go sliding Snowmobilers or outdoor 05:19 recreational as they go out in the winter time 05:21 country sky. Be aware of the conditions that 05:24 you're traveling in make sure that you're not in 05:26 danger. And so when you're out haven fun in 05:29 the snow like we're here today, be careful. 05:32 Until next time this is Ranger Rod saying 05:36 let's all enjoy Gods great outdoors. 05:48 Jesus bids us shine with a clear, pure light, 05:52 Like a little candle burning in the night; 05:56 In this world of darkness, we must shine, 06:00 You in your small corner, and I in mine. 06:05 Jesus bids us shine, as we work for Him, 06:08 Bringing those that wander from the paths of sin; 06:13 He will ever help us if we shine, 06:17 You in your small corner, and I in mine. 06:31 Welcome to Learning Time, thanks for joining us 06:34 today, we've got an exciting science experiment but 06:37 you need to watch it, you can't do this at home, 06:39 you just might get hurt. Hey, speaking of getting hurt, 06:42 I need volunteer, oh! Seth way over there hey Seth 06:47 where are you from? Georgia, Georgia, oh! 06:49 I can use a Georgian come on down here. 06:51 And you know, my helper over here and I have 06:54 got Dave and Dave where are you from? 06:56 Ashfield North Carolina, Ashfield wow so were from 06:59 all different places don't we? Now, Seth I've got a 07:02 bowling ball over here, why don't you come on over 07:03 here and do you bowl? Yes, you know some people 07:07 but it's a large ball and it's very, very heavy isn't it? 07:09 Now, right now this ball has energy, 07:11 it has potential energy. Now, Seth what would 07:14 happened if I just had a cutter and I cut this cable, 07:18 what would the ball do. It will fall on your foot, 07:20 it will fall on my foot. So, it has a potential of hurting 07:23 my foot right, yeah and you know what when 07:25 a bowling ball swings and moves it turns into like 07:28 a pendulum right. And that moving energy is called 07:31 kinetic energy, that's a lot of energy. 07:34 Well, this is where you come in, one should grab a 07:37 hold of this ball and just walk backwards 07:40 and you know my friend Dave over here, 07:42 Dave is gonna you're safety right. 07:43 Because what we want you to, want to you to put 07:45 it right up to your nose okay. Wow, you got 07:47 a great nose and then we want you to let the ball go. 07:51 I don't want you to push it, because we don't 07:53 wanna add energy to the ball we just wanna use 07:55 the potential energy in the ball as it is okay. 07:59 And there is gonna swinging out and it's gonna 08:01 comeback and Dave's here to make sure that 08:04 you don't lean forward, you don't wanna lean 08:06 forward and your hands need to be down, 08:07 are you ready? Okay, and you're gonna give us 08:09 countdown, are you ready for the countdown? 08:11 Yes, you're gonna go 3, 2, 1, are you right 08:13 at your nose okay this is great I would do this but 08:15 it's a much too dangerous okay. Are we ready? 08:18 Countdown 3, and 2, and 1 and let it go put your 08:23 hands down and it's coming right back catch up. 08:25 Oh! was that scary thing?, yeah oh! Yeah, 08:30 how did look is it was coming towards you. 08:32 It looks like it was gonna hit me. It will looks 08:34 like it was gonna hit you, but you know what 08:36 there was no danger of the ball hitting you, 08:38 unless you pushed it add energy to it. 08:40 This is something that we called conservation 08:43 of energy and it loses energy as it goes to the air. 08:47 You know, it takes a lot of energy to go through 08:49 to the air. The ball has to push the air out 08:52 of the way, even the cable is real long, it has the 08:54 push the air out of the way too, isn't that 08:57 interesting? Yeah, oh! I do too, gave Seth 08:59 a good hand for being a goods helper. 09:02 Wow, and you know what, these are laws, 09:05 these are actually Laws of nature. 09:08 There are actually natural laws, that's interesting, 09:10 who came up with all this Laws? God, you know, 09:14 you know God did, didn't He? Absolutely and even 09:17 nature has to obey those Laws. Now, 09:20 remember boys and girls, whenever, 09:22 we learned more about science, 09:24 we learned more about our creator God. 09:34 Hi, boys and girls and welcome to Talk Time. 09:36 I'm very excited today because we have so 09:40 many questions that you have written in and guess, 09:43 who is here to answer them for you? 09:44 Our own Kid's Time Pastor Ronald's, thank you 09:47 Pastor for being with us today. Hi, Miss. Brenda, 09:49 it's my pleasure do we have some questions 09:51 today? We sure do we have lots of questions 09:53 and I just gonna do right through because 09:55 there is so many, you know, that's right. 09:56 Let me just, scrutinize around and here and get 09:59 one right here. And boys and girls I wanna 10:02 encourage you, if you have a question too make 10:04 sure you send them here to 3ABN and 10:05 get your question answered okay. 10:07 Alright, this one is from Adrianna and I hope I say 10:11 her name right. She says, how many places 10:13 have you been to and when did you become 10:17 a Christian.? That's a good question Adriana 10:19 thank you very much for sending it in. 10:21 I'm must sure if I can answer the first one straight 10:23 of hand, because I have been to quite a few places 10:25 and now have been to a number of places in the 10:27 Caribbean and many states in North America. 10:29 But I would like to tell you some more Miss. Brenda 10:32 and Adriana but when I become a Christian, 10:35 I met Jesus for the first time when I was twenty 10:37 years old and before that you know I lived in the 10:41 world and I was not a very happy person. 10:43 I had a lot of money and I had a lot of authority 10:47 and power. But it was not until I met Jesus 10:49 for the first time that I really understood what 10:52 happiness and peace that's right. And I have no 10:55 regrets now that I'm Christian and I discovered 10:59 that the greatest pleasure for me in life 11:00 Miss. Brenda and Adrianna is to lead someone else 11:04 to Jesus. That's right, well I just also when 11:07 she was asking how many places have been, 11:09 I know some kids have wanted to know what country 11:12 are you from. Well, I'm originally from Trinidad 11:14 in the Caribbean, in the Caribbean so. 11:16 Okay, that a good question, 11:18 Let's get another one here. That answer there, 11:21 okay this one is said where they didn't sign her name on 11:26 this one. This is Dear Miss. Brenda a lot of my friends 11:29 eat hot dogs, but we don't because my mom says 11:31 they have pork in them is it sin to eat pork?. 11:34 That's a good question, yes it is. 11:36 And this one that's very interesting you know 11:38 as we study scripture we realize that you know 11:41 way back from the time of the flood in Geneses 11:43 Chapter 6 that God outlined that there are some 11:46 that are clean is to be first to them, 11:50 some that are unclean, as He refers to them. 11:52 And then Leviticus chapter 11 He even makes 11:55 it clearer he gives us a list of those animals. 11:58 Those that are clean and those that are unclean 12:01 and he says very clearly that ones that are clean 12:04 we are allow to eat, that ones that are unclean 12:08 we're not allowed to eat. And you know we may not 12:11 be able to explain scientifically every reason 12:13 why, every single unclean animal is not good to eat, 12:16 but we have to trust God that he knows what is best 12:19 and if he says he didn't make it for consumption 12:22 for us to eat. We shouldn't eat it, that's right and 12:26 I don't wanna do anything that Jesus doesn't 12:28 wanna me to do. That's right, 12:30 okay let's have another question here. 12:33 Max you like these questions too, don't you? 12:36 Yes, hey Maxwell you're being a good boy isn't 12:40 he a good boy? Yes, he was very peaceful today, 12:43 yes. Alright, Dear Miss. Brenda, this one doesn't 12:45 have name either it says is it okay for my daddy 12:48 to just speed when we're late for Church. 12:50 Oh! My, okay be careful how you answer this one, 12:55 I think very careful because I think you know 12:56 every single one of us you know maybe guilty 12:58 Of some infringement at some point in time, you 13:00 know the Bible is very clear in the book of 13:02 Romans Paul says that we need to respect the laws 13:05 of the land. You know and because you know God 13:08 is the one who sets them up and he push them 13:11 there you know to guide us, to govern us, 13:13 and also for our safety. You know, the speed limits 13:17 are set there in place of that we, you know when 13:19 we drive or driving at a speed that we're able 13:21 to control our car. And we're safe and the other 13:25 drivers are safe also. So, you know really we should 13:28 try to leave early enough so that we can get to Church 13:31 on time so we can avoid breaking the speed limit 13:34 on a way it says. Well, unfortunately that's about 13:38 all the time we have today. Oh! I love our time together 13:41 Pastor Ronald's, boys and girls if you have a question 13:44 for Pastor Ronald's you can mail them to 3ABN or email 13:47 them to me at this address kidstime@3abn.org because 13:53 your questions are important to us and 13:55 your questions are important to Jesus. 14:03 Shameer I'm so impressed you know, 14:06 do you remember what happened to other day 14:08 with the Hebrews? Yes, the Hebrew God is, 14:10 right they farness, that's farness it wasn't so hard? 14:17 Even the shoulders has took, your impress but 14:19 remember we have our own God as well. Right, 14:22 but the soldiers could brought the Hebrews, 14:25 I know that the king has made decree. 14:26 But, Hey you talking about the Shadrech, yeah, 14:29 he can answer some of the questions about the 14:32 Hebrew God, Hebrew tell us, can you tell us. 14:36 Oh! I would love to tell you the story about my God 14:38 People listen out, we have Shadrech come on 14:40 to us He's gonna tell us about the Hebrew God, 14:42 Hebrew religion gather on please hurry up. 14:46 Okay, please tell us, tell us. Well the story starts 14:51 a long time ago right when I was little boy living 14:54 at home in Jerusalem. Now this is before the Babylon 14:57 were able to capture me and my friends and take us 15:00 here to Babylon. Well, probably when I was right 15:03 about your age my mom and dad taught me about 15:07 the one true God of Israel and they taught me to 15:10 always do the right thing. Well, when we came here 15:14 to Babylon there were many opportunities to do 15:17 something wrong, maybe to eat the wrong stuff 15:20 or do something wrong but I had some really good 15:22 friends. Daniel, Abidmigo, they were good friends 15:27 with me and they always were strong and stood up 15:30 to do the right thing. Sometimes I would be worried 15:33 you know when the time comes will I be able to be strong, 15:36 well I be able to do the right thing. Well, 15:40 not too long ago as you know the king built this 15:43 magnificent idol. It was 90 feet tall and 9 feet wide 15:48 and completely covered in Gold, where he called 15:52 all of the rulers and subjects from all across the world 15:56 to come and they came and they sealed up the whole 16:00 plane and as the sun was coming up the great idol 16:03 was there and the sun was shining off of it and all 16:06 the people were there and the King said 16:08 when the music plays everyone bow down and 16:13 worship my idol. Oh that's bad. That's well, That's 16:20 how our God, well my king deserves my elegance 16:25 but my God is always comes before my, 16:28 always comes before my king. And I knew that I couldn't 16:31 bow down to this idol because it would be the 16:33 wrong thing to do and I looked around for my friends 16:35 but I didn't see any of them because I was standing 16:37 all the myself in the crowd and the music 16:40 started to play and I close my eyes and I said 16:43 God please give me strength to do the right thing. 16:47 And I just stood there and I opened my eyes 16:51 and all around me people from everywhere were 16:54 bowing down. But I wouldn't do it and pretty soon 16:58 out of the corner of my eye I saw someone else 17:00 standing and another person standing and I realize 17:02 that they were my friends from home. Well, 17:05 pretty soon the king heard about us not standing 17:08 and he drag me and my two friends and he brought 17:11 us in front of us and he said I have given you nothing. 17:15 But kindness and mercy and look how you treat me, 17:20 but because I'm a nice guy, I'm gonna give you 17:21 one more chance we will play the music 17:24 and I let you have another chance to bow down. 17:28 Well, I stood up and I said oh! King live for ever 17:30 we will not bow down, even if you give us 17:34 another chance. Because our God is the one 17:39 true God and He is so powerful, Amen. 17:43 He can save us and this made Nebuchadnezzar very angry 17:47 and he said if you don't bow down, 17:49 I will throw you into that fiery furnace. 17:53 And we looked over there and I looked up at the king. 17:56 And I had a strange peace, I wasn't afraid 18:00 and I said king our God is so strong that he would 18:03 be able to save us, if he chose us. 18:07 But even if he doesn't chose to save us from 18:09 you and your fiery furnace. We will not bow down, 18:13 Amen, Amen. Well, this made the king so angry, 18:18 he ordered the furnace heat seven times hotter 18:22 and he tied us up and he got his soldiers and they 18:25 came and they picked us up and they took us 18:27 to the fire. And they throw us inside the fiery furnace. 18:32 I remember flying to the air and crashing on to the 18:35 ground and as rolled on the ground I realize 18:38 that the ropes that were tied me up burned off. 18:41 But there was no pain, I didn't feel any thing, 18:45 I stood up and my two friends are right there 18:48 beside me. And then all the sudden somebody 18:50 else was in the fiery furnace with us. 18:54 And I just knew that it was the son of the God. 18:59 And He looked at me and my friends and he said 19:02 well done my faithful servants. Well, 19:07 pretty soon I heard Nebakanezer calling out 19:10 Shadrech, Missach, Abidmigo, come out of there. 19:13 And I looked at, I looked at the son of God 19:15 and he said you better obey. So, we turned 19:17 and we came out and Nebakanezer was totally 19:22 different. He said you're God is the one true God, 19:26 Amen , yes Amen. I'm so glad that God was able 19:32 to give us strength to stand and do the right thing. 19:35 Because it is opened the door and the king has asked 19:38 me to come to the palace right now. Because, 19:39 he wants to learn more about this God, 19:42 so I would loved to stand and talk you guys more 19:44 but I have to go thank you bye, bye. 19:51 I think he smiling. This man have reminding you, 19:54 I'm gonna said and pick up. I'm gonna worship 19:56 the God, not because the king says so because 19:59 I believe that is the true God. 21:05 Hi, boys and girls it's time for Miss. Brenda's Book 21:07 of the day. And today's book is Guide's Greatest 21:12 Escape from Crime Stories it's by Helen Lee 21:15 and a book full of exciting stories boys and girls. 21:18 You won't want to miss one single word. 21:21 Well, right now I would like to introduce you to our 21:23 guest today; we have with us Caleb, hi Caleb. 21:26 It's so nice to have you on the program tell me 21:29 you have so many witnessing stories. 21:31 What do you do share Jesus? Well, we go to nursing 21:34 homes and do programs there and we go to meetings 21:41 and I pass out literature and we go to different 21:46 states and. You travel quite a bit don't you? 21:49 Yes, but when let me back up the second. 21:51 Because the lot of Kids go to the nursing home 21:53 and some of them don't that are little bit afraid 21:56 and what would you actually do when you go to the 21:58 nursing home and are you a little afraid 22:00 when you go. Sometimes I'm, you I and I play 22:05 the piano and very special music. 22:08 When you go and your, when you say your afraid, 22:11 do not really afraid you're little nervous probably 22:13 right yes. And so when you're nervous 22:15 what do you do? I pray, you pray that's a best 22:19 thing to do isn't? Boys and girls if you're nervous or 22:21 afraid or scared or even wanting to, you know, 22:24 be a little timid ,or reach out and witness for Jesus 22:26 you pray Jesus will give you that strength doesn't he? 22:28 Yes and then when God fills with that strength then 22:31 what did you do? Did you go over and shake their 22:34 hands or? Yes, and did you and I hug them. 22:37 You gave them a great big Jesus hug, yes and tell them, 22:40 how much Jesus loves them, yes and did they 22:43 have big smile on their face? Yes, they did this a lot 22:46 of joy whenever we can share Jesus isn't that? 22:48 Yes and when you've gone out traveling to with 22:52 your Dad, cause your dads are preacher, yeah. 22:54 Have you had any wonderful experiences? 22:56 Yes, I chatted there was much as I can't to help, 22:59 you do. So, if they means passing out hand books 23:02 or let it your bulletin or whatever you do that, 23:05 yes do you go out and greet the people too? 23:07 Yes and what would you say when you would greet 23:10 someone. Good morning would you like bulletin. 23:14 Would you like the bulletin and you just write out 23:15 their boldly just meet the people yes and what 23:19 would you say the boys and girls that may they 23:23 wanna witness but they are little bit afraid. 23:24 What would you say to them? Why don't you just 23:27 go out there and give them a great big hug, 23:29 they like that. People like that, don't they we give 23:32 them a Jesus hug and especially the older, 23:34 elder would do. Would you say boys and girls 23:36 need to be afraid or they elder they. 23:37 No, no, they just love Jesus like we do don't they 23:41 or they need to know Jesus money of them don't they? 23:44 Yes, so it's a wonderful way to witness. 23:46 Well, right now I've some letters I wanna read 23:48 maybe you can help me with that Caleb. 23:50 We're got a great big one here in the bag let's see 23:52 what this is, this is all the way from Germany. 23:55 And let's see guess right, his name is Samuel 23:58 and your brother's name is Samuel isn't he? 24:01 And we've got a picture, can you hold that up 24:02 for me very carefully and this says Dear Miss.
