00:01 It's almost time for Kids Time,
00:03 we are gonna be late. 00:04 It's time to share there is a world out there 00:08 looking for a friend like Jesus, 00:12 it's time to share there is a world out there. 00:16 Let's tell them that He loves us so. 00:19 Let's tell them that He loves us so. 00:23 Kids Time, Kids Time, Kids Time. 00:30 Hi boys and girls. Max and I are so happy 00:33 to be with you today. In fact I am so happy, 00:36 I just can't stop smiling. It's easy to smile 00:39 when you are with friends; they make you feel 00:41 safe and happy inside, but what about when 00:44 you're surrounded by enemies. 00:45 Now, I don't know about you, but I don't feel 00:48 so much like smiling at my enemies, 00:50 sometimes they even make me feel afraid, 00:53 but I know a story about a man who smiled 00:55 when there were enemies all around him 00:58 and that mans name was Elisha and he was a 01:01 Prophet of God. Can you imagine how 01:03 confused his enemies were? 01:05 Well Elisha enemies weren't the only ones 01:07 confused in fact Elisha had a friend who was 01:10 just as confused as his enemies. 01:12 He had no idea why Elisha was smiling, 01:16 what his friend didn't know was that Elisha 01:19 had a secret actually. He had two secrets, 01:22 hey wait a minute, I'm not gonna give the 01:25 secret away. You just have to watch today's 01:28 Bible story to find that one out. 01:30 But first let's get ready for Nature Time. 01:39 Hi, boys and girls. I am Ranger Rod, 01:41 welcome to Nature Time. 01:43 I am over here in beautiful Western Montana 01:45 just West of Kalispell. And I'm over here with 01:47 my friend Christy Novak and we are in a herd of, 01:51 these aren't cattle, are they Christy what is up 01:54 with your cows. These are Tibetan Yak. 01:58 They're beautiful; they have all this really 02:01 long hairs, is that necessary? 02:02 It is for the weather, from the Himalayas from Nepal. 02:06 Wow, and it's cold there? 02:08 It's very cold there and an altitude 10,000 feet 02:10 and above they love it, colder the better. 02:14 So these animals live at really high elevations. 02:17 High elevations low of temperature. 02:19 That's incredible what kind of temperatures 02:21 are we talking about? Anything below 10. 02:25 Below 10. Below 10. 02:26 So, they do alright here in Western Montana, 02:28 where we get 30 below zero? 02:30 They do, colder the better. The colder the better. 02:32 What about a hot day like today over here 02:33 and it's almost 90 degrees here in Montana today. 02:37 what about a weather like this? 02:38 They still do okay, they lay low and do the 02:42 moving at night and they are eating at night. 02:44 Okay. And is kind a lay low during the day. 02:46 Are we in any kind of danger here, 02:47 I mean look at these huge horns they have, 02:49 isn't this kind of dangerous? 02:51 No, not with these guys. But these pets. 02:54 The horns, they aren't pets, these are wild. 02:56 These aren't pets, these are wild Tibetan Yaks. 02:59 Now what is the main purpose of having 03:04 these yaks here, if they are not born here 03:05 so they are not native at all to North America. 03:07 No, they aren't. They are native to North America, 03:09 so why do you have them? 03:11 We actually got them from a zoo in Canada 03:14 that had closed down and that's when they 03:16 originated for the United States, 03:18 and they are between 3 and 5,000 03:20 in the United States alone. 03:22 Now they have this beautiful long hair, 03:24 if you can see boys and girls at home you can 03:27 see this beautiful long hair that hangs down. 03:29 Is there anything special about this long hair? 03:31 These are useful or do you do anything with that? 03:33 We harvest it and every year between April and May 03:38 we'll bring a man and he will take by hand 03:41 and comb out all their hair that 03:44 they shed from the winter. 03:45 Think how long that would take, 03:46 you got a big herd here. Hours. 03:48 So you don't use lawn mowers or like that? 03:50 No, and we don't cut it. And you don't cut it. 03:52 It's all hand brushed. 03:53 And what do you with the, with the... 03:57 We put in a bag and then we send it off, 03:59 have it cleaned, and we can neither have a 04:03 back as ravine or it comes just playing yarn. 04:08 So, we can call a Yak Yarn. 04:09 What do these yaks eat here in Montana? 04:11 Grass. They eat grass. They eat grass. 04:14 What am I holding in my hand then? A cookie. 04:16 Beef pallet, it's a cookie to them. 04:19 So, these are Yak cookies, delicious. 04:22 This is Lola, can I feed Lola a cookie? Yes. Yes. 04:26 Alright, if Lola won't... 04:27 But she has to see you, okay, there we go. 04:29 It's hard for Lola to see me boys and girls, 04:31 look at all the hair on her forehead. 04:32 She tried to eat my hand, did you see that. 04:35 Well Lola, she likes, I think she likes fingers. 04:37 She likes fingers. Oh, Lola, she is great. 04:41 These are beautiful, boys and girls 04:43 this is amazing, I notice all here in the 04:46 background that there is lot's of little baby yaks. 04:49 Is that normal for the baby yaks to be in 04:52 with all the mommas here and how many 04:54 babies do they have? Can you give me some 04:56 information about their, how they reproduce? 04:59 How do you get all these yaks? 05:01 Well, their gestation period is the same 05:03 as a Bovine, they are a Bovine. 05:05 Which is like a cow? 05:07 Which is a cow. Which is exactly a cow, 05:08 same hoof, same everything they just 05:10 have long hair. They have babies usually one 05:17 per baby anywhere from 25 to 35 pounds. 05:20 Okay, that's pretty big. 05:21 Per baby, they look like little wet puddles, 05:23 when they're born. Oh, awesome. 05:24 Occasionally you do have the twins. Okay. 05:26 We unfortunately didn't have one this year 05:30 but we've been known to have the twins. 05:33 We let these particular ones be with their mommas. 05:37 Alright. And they are raised with their mom; 05:40 we come out here and feed them just like 05:41 we're doing to tame them up hopefully their 05:44 mommas will bring them up and show them us. 05:47 You know because we don't any kind 05:49 of training on them this is just... 05:51 Are there lots of these in North America or 05:53 is this sort of a special thing to 05:55 have these beautiful yaks. 05:56 They are getting more and more recognized. 06:00 There is anyway from 3 to 5000 in the United States. 06:03 Okay, 3 to 5000 in the United States. 06:06 We also use them as pack animals; 06:08 they will pack 20% of their body weight. 06:11 Okay for this for one these yaks, 06:13 how much would that be? 06:14 More than you carry on bag pack? 06:15 Absolutely, these guys weigh between anywhere 06:18 between 6 and 800 pounds for a full grown females. 06:22 So 200 pound pack on them would be, about 20%, 06:26 would be normal for them to carry? would be normal. 06:28 And you can them in the mountains, 06:29 so you take them on a trail? Walk them like a dog. 06:31 Awesome, but you wouldn't recommend them 06:33 for like a household pet or for like a pet in 06:35 your backyard in little city. 06:36 Oh, yes I would. You would? 06:37 They are so gentle, they are so kind. 06:38 Oh, boys and girls, incredible. 06:41 If you get them young and train them, 06:43 they're your best friend. 06:44 Now I hear him making a sound, it's kind 06:46 of a grunting sound is that they don't move 06:49 like a cow then? they don't 06:50 They grunt. They don't. 06:51 Oh, Christy I wanna thank you not only from myself, 06:53 but for all the boys and girls that are watching 06:55 today for letting us see these beautiful animals 06:58 that you have out here in Montana. 07:00 It was a pleasure having you here. 07:02 Thank you. Boys and girls this is Ranger Rod 07:05 until next time lets all enjoy God's great outdoors. 07:22 I love you Lord, and I lift my voice 07:31 To worship you, Oh my soul rejoice! 07:40 Take joy my King, in what you hear 07:48 May it be a sweet, sweet sound in your ear. 08:05 Welcome to Learning Time, I'm glad that 08:07 you're here today. We got a special program 08:09 for ANR. You glad to be here. Yes. 08:13 I'm very happy to be here today, 08:14 you know we've got three very special helpers. 08:17 I wanna introduce Caddie, Caddie go, 08:21 where are you from? Calhoun, Georgia. 08:22 Calhoun, Georgia and we've Amy, 08:24 Amy where are you from? Calhoun, Georgia. 08:27 Calhoun Georgia, you know what, you, are, are. 08:30 Are you related? Yes. 08:32 Yeah, are you identical twins? Yeah. 08:35 Well, you know we've never had identical 08:36 twins on the program. Let's give them a hand 08:38 wow. You know, let me ask you a question. 08:42 How long have you known each other? 08:43 Seven years. Seven years, 08:45 they've known each other for seven years. 08:46 Isn't that cool, that really is. Well, thanks for 08:49 being a part of our program today and 08:51 we've Woody over here. Woody where are you from? 08:53 Calhoun, Georgia. From Calhoun, Georgia 08:55 as well, this is great. 08:56 Oh, hey let's have you all come up here 08:59 because we're gonna do an interesting science 09:01 experiment and today for a science experiment? 09:04 We've some very special things, 09:05 these are safety glasses because we're gonna 09:07 use some wire and the wire is kind a sharp 09:10 and it has little point on the end. So, why don't 09:11 you go and put your glasses on. There you go; 09:14 yeah don't they look good with their glasses on. 09:16 Yeah. Yeah, 09:17 we always must protect our eyes. Today, 09:19 what we're wanna do is we wanna make a 09:22 magnet into a nail. Now, go and pick your 09:25 nails up for me and can you pick up any of 09:27 these paperclips. Nails made out of steel 09:31 and the paperclips are made out of steel, 09:33 but they are not picking up the, the, they're not 09:36 picking up anything are they? No. So, let's go 09:38 ahead and turn them into an electromagnet. 09:42 Okay, we've got some wire right here, 09:44 I'm gonna have them wrap the wire around the nails. 09:47 So, get going because we've got lot of wire 09:49 and we're gonna wrap, wrap, and wrap. 09:51 Now, this wire has a special covering or 09:53 coding on the outside. Is anybody know what 09:56 we call the covering or coding on the outside 09:58 of wires? It's called insulation and insulation 10:01 protects us from getting shock. 10:03 I don't like to get shock, so we have to protect 10:05 ourselves with insulated wires. 10:08 Now, into those wires we've taken little wire 10:10 stripper and we've taken the insulation on. 10:13 So, we've a bare wire and into those bare wires. 10:17 They are going to attach to both sides of those 10:19 D cell batteries and we're gonna get a current 10:23 of electricity to go through the coil of wire and 10:26 it's going to turn that nail into a magnet. 10:29 How you're doing over here? Yeah. 10:31 We've got lots of, lot's of wire. Now, you can 10:33 do this at home, it's really fun to do. 10:35 You just need those parts, a nail or a piece 10:38 of wire and some wire and strip the ends of 10:41 that insulation on and you can turn almost 10:44 anything into an electromagnet. 10:46 How we're doing, hey almost done. Okay, 10:48 when you're finish, you can attach the ends of 10:50 those wires, the bare wires to both sides 10:53 of the battery. Now, we've positive ends 10:55 and negative ends of those batteries 10:57 and let's see if they can pickup some of those 11:00 paperclips. You think they can do it? Yes. 11:02 Oh! I think so because we can turn electricity 11:04 into a magnet or a magnetic force and here we go. 11:08 Alright and she is getting this one already to go. 11:11 How we doing over there? Okay now these 11:14 batteries; they won't give you a shock because 11:15 they don't have enough power and there is not 11:17 a voltage in there or amperage for that 11:20 matter and can we pick anything up. 11:23 Let's check it out, still hard to do because you 11:25 got to get both of the ends of those wires 11:27 attach to the. Oh! Look at there and look, 11:30 you're picking a whole, look at that a whole 11:33 bunch of paperclips. Isn't that interesting? Yeah. 11:37 Oh! I do too, you can have fun with this 11:39 experiment and you know what you can put 11:41 lots of coils of wire around your nail and 11:44 that will become even stronger and stronger, 11:46 it will become a stronger electromagnet. 11:48 You know, did God make any kind of magnets? 11:52 Yeah. Oh! Yeah. 11:54 God made a very, very strong electromagnetic 11:57 sphere or force around planet earth and it 12:00 it protects us against things that come from 12:03 outer space like dangerous rays and dangerous 12:06 power from the sun very interesting isn't? 12:09 Oh! I do to; hey you did a wonderful job today. 12:12 Hope you have fun with this at home as well 12:15 and remember boys and girls. 12:16 Whenever we learn more about science, 12:18 we learn more about our creator God. 12:28 Hi, boys and girls and welcome to Talk Time. 12:30 Today, we are here to answer some of your 12:33 questions that you have for Pastor Ronalds, 12:35 our Kids Time pastor and. Hi, Miss Brenda. 12:37 And Pastor Ronalds, I've so many questions 12:41 that people ask me all the time. In fact one 12:44 question just came across my blackberry. Really. 12:46 It's from Tierra, she's seven years old 12:48 and she want to know. How can Jesus be her 12:52 best friend, if she can't see him? 12:54 Thank you for sending the question Tierra, 12:56 you know, many times even here today. 12:59 There are some of us who have friends that 13:01 we have never seen. You know, there are 13:02 some people, who have pen pals. You know, 13:04 they write letters back and forth to someone 13:06 who is in another country and you may never 13:08 see that person accept, That's right, perhaps 13:09 a photograph. In fact Miss Brenda gets lots 13:12 of letters from people that I might not meet till 13:14 I get, probably most of them I won't meet till 13:16 I get to heaven and meet them in heaven. 13:18 There you go, that's a good illustration 13:20 and sometimes we email back and forth with 13:22 friends and we may never meet them. 13:24 You know, we communicate with Jesus. One of the 13:26 ways, we communicate with him is by reading 13:27 his word. This is his letter to us and we may 13:30 never meet him, but his word makes it very clear. 13:33 That he really, really loves us and it also 13:36 lets us know that we will definitely 13:37 meet him in heaven. 13:39 In fact, you know there is boy name Jadan, 13:41 he lives in Australia and he has been emailing 13:45 Miss Brenda for probably at least six or seven 13:48 years and he emails me and he watches Kids Time 13:52 everyday and I can't wait to be get to heaven, 13:56 I wanna meet Jadan. I understand and 13:58 I know exactly what you mean. 13:59 That's right, okay let's see we have a basket 14:03 full of questions here and this one is from 14:05 Daniel Douglas, he is ten years old. 14:07 He said what does Jesus look like? 14:10 Wow! Daniel, you know, I wish I had the 14:12 answer to that question if I did, I think I would 14:14 be a millionaire. But interestingly enough 14:16 in scripture, there is no detailed description 14:19 as to what Jesus look like. 14:21 Yeah, we see lots of pictures of Jesus, 14:23 are do we? That's right, there are lot's, 14:24 there are lot of artists conceptions, you know, 14:26 people think they know what he look like or 14:28 they think they know what they would like 14:30 him to look like and they draw pictures and 14:31 they paint pictures of him and you know, 14:33 they you see those all around. But our closest 14:37 guess, as to what Jesus actually look like 14:39 would be maybe to go to Israel and looking 14:42 what Israelite look like and we can say Jesus 14:44 look generally like that. But no one knows 14:47 specifically what he look like. 14:48 For sure, I'm really anxious to go to heaven 14:50 now and see what Jesus look like. 14:52 Is there, we will find out. 14:53 I can just imagine in my mind though. 14:55 How kind Jesus eyes are, when he looks at 14:59 you and the kindest on his face and just such a 15:02 magnificent glory. It's hard to imagine, 15:05 I don't think we can even in our minds. 15:08 Our minds cannot imagine what he would look like. 15:10 No, can't comprehend, no, okay we'll do 15:11 another question here. Let see, this one is 15:16 no name on this one. It says, why are there 15:18 so many wicked people in the world? 15:22 That is a difficult question to answer; 15:24 it's also a sad question to conceptualize. 15:26 You know, true there are lots of people who 15:29 are wicked in the world and it's because 15:31 they have not allowed Jesus to come into their 15:33 hearts and change them. And you know, 15:35 Jesus says you know that there is a way that 15:37 leads to destruction and it's called the broad 15:39 way and it indicates to us that there are many 15:43 people who choose not to follow him. 15:45 But you know the best thing that we can do as 15:47 Christians today is do our best to lead 15:50 everyone we know to follow Jesus. 15:51 Yes. So, that they can live a life, 15:53 like he wants them to. 15:55 That's right, okay I think we have time 15:56 for another question and let me see here 15:58 boys and girls, what I can come up with. 16:02 Oh! This one is from Joe Kwashi from, 16:05 he's seven years old. How is that possible 16:07 that Jesus was born on earth while 16:09 God is his father in heaven. 16:12 Joe, I can see that you are deep thinker. Yes. 16:15 And I can see that you know, it's interesting 16:17 questions that these Kids bring up Miss Brenda. 16:20 But you know the Bible tells us that after the 16:23 angel, Gabriel spoke to Mary. The Holy Spirit 16:27 overshadowed Mary and she conceived God's 16:31 son Jesus Christ, so the father was in heaven. 16:33 But he was also on earth at the same time in 16:35 the presence of the Holy Spirit and we don't 16:37 know the exact details and so he did it, 16:40 but we know it was supernatural and it was 16:42 miraculous and I'm very thankful, that he did. 16:45 Yes. You know, that we do have Jesus 16:47 as our savior as a result today. 16:49 Exactly, well on that note, what a wonderful 16:52 note to live on. Boys and girls, if you have a 16:54 question for Pastor Ronalds, you can mail 16:56 them to 3ABN or email them to me at this 16:59 address kidstime@3abn.org, because your questions 17:04 are important to us and your questions 17:06 are important to Jesus. 17:17 Hey, hey, Jeremy. Where is your master Elisha. 17:21 Oh! Well, he is a busy these days. 17:23 Tell me about it. Well, have to, 17:25 what happen with the king. The king wanted 17:27 to talk to our Lord, you know the whole thing 17:28 with the army and all that stuff. 17:30 Tell me about it. Well, it started, 17:33 I woke up one morning and we are completely 17:35 surrounded by this army. Oh! Wait a minute. 17:37 We got to have everybody hear this story, 17:40 come around everyone, you need to hear this 17:43 story about the army and Elisha, tell us. 17:49 Well, well, I woke up one morning 17:51 and I walked outside. I yarn and all the sudden, 17:56 I looked our city was completely surrounded 18:00 by this huge army and I was so scared. 18:04 I ran inside and I woke up my master Elisha 18:07 and I said Elisha we're surrounded by the enemy. 18:09 What do we gonna do and he walked out 18:12 and he looked over the army and he smiled. 18:15 He smiled. Yeah. At an army. 18:18 Yeah, I was like what are you doing? 18:20 And he closed his eyes and he prayed, he said 18:22 God please open the eyes of my servant 18:26 and all the sudden I looked him and there was 18:29 the enemy army surrounding us. 18:31 But between there army and the 18:33 city walls were angels. Angels. 18:38 An army, they had swords of fire and chariots 18:43 and they were glowing and they were so 18:45 strong and I looked and I saw that there was 18:47 no way that army was gonna be able to get 18:49 through them to come to us. Wow. 18:52 Well, hey, they started to come towards us and 18:56 then Elisha closed his eyes once more 18:58 and he prayed and he said Lord, please strike 19:01 them blind and all the sudden the whole 19:04 enemy army that was coming at us they were 19:07 stumbling and tripping over everything and 19:09 Elisha said come now, we must go and help them, 19:13 I said help them. Help them. 19:14 They are enemy, but we went out there and he 19:17 walked up and he said men come here 19:19 and the army kind of gathered around. 19:21 He said this is not the city you need to be in, 19:24 this is not the road. Let me take you to the man, 19:26 you're looking for and so I helped them 19:29 and we got all the man alliance. So they were, 19:31 you know holding hands behind each other 19:33 and we took them straight to the capital city 19:37 right in next to the king and the king saw them 19:41 coming and he saw they were blind and all of 19:44 his solders got up and they had their swords 19:46 and their spears and once the entire enemy 19:48 army was inside. The king went over to Elisha 19:51 and he said, can I kill them now, 19:53 can I kill them, and I thought this will be a 19:55 great day of victory. But Elisha said no, 19:59 we're not gonna kill them; I want you to feed them. 20:03 Feed them. So, the king prepared 20:07 this magnificent feast and he set all the man 20:11 around and they feast it and they ate and drank 20:14 and then when they were done Elisha prayed again, 20:17 he said Lord, open their eyes and the men 20:20 opened their eyes and the army realized. 20:22 Who had feed them and they looked and they saw 20:26 that they were not in danger and Elisha said go 20:30 in peace and so that entire army left 20:34 and its amazing the kind has been talking to 20:36 them and one lesson that, that I'm learning 20:39 from this is the best way to get rid of enemy 20:43 is to make him your friend. Friend. Yeah. 20:46 What a story, isn't that its awesome story. 20:50 What a story. Listen we wanna ask 20:54 the God's blessing on you son. 20:56 As you go on and bless Elisha and his great war. 21:00 Oh, thank you. May the Lord be with you always? 21:03 Thank you. Thank you for telling us a great story, 21:06 wasn't that a great story. Great story. Bye. 21:08 Praise the Lord. Praise the Lord. 21:22 I'm happy today and the sun shines broads. 21:27 The clouds having all the way. 21:31 For the savior son is so ever will, 21:37 May come with him to stay. 21:42 Oh! So having surely me not me, surely me not me. 21:49 Oh! Surely me not me. 21:52 Oh! So having surely me not me. 21:57 Whosoever me not me. 22:08 Hi, boys and girls, it's time for Miss Brenda's 22:11 Book of The Day and today's exciting book is 22:15 called Shepherd Warrior by Bradley Booth 22:17 and it's an awesome book boys and girls about 22:20 David back in Bible times and some of the 22:23 challenges he faced in battle. You won't 22:25 wanna miss it. Something else you won't wanna 22:27 miss is our sharing time guest today Brandon. 22:30 Welcome to the program and tell me you have 22:33 quite a ministry don't you? 22:35 Yes, I love Jesus so much, so I decided 22:38 for ministry. I call that I Deny. 22:41 I Deny and why would you call that? 22:43 Well, you know this ministry is all about 22:46 denying yourself for Jesus. You know, he did 22:48 so much for us, I would this is the least 22:51 you could do for him. 22:52 And so does that mean that, that you, if you 22:55 really wanted to buy something instead of 22:57 buying that you would put that money that 22:59 you would normally spend for that into, 23:01 you know, special place for missions. 23:04 That's right. And I understand you also 23:07 deny yourself times. That's right. 23:08 Time that you would wanna go do something, 23:09 ride your bike or play whatever that you 23:11 would work for Jesus instead, is that correct? 23:13 Yeah. What a wonderful ministry and let me 23:15 see you brought a box with you. 23:16 Look boys and girls, he even has a box that 23:19 says I Deny and that's where he keeps his 23:22 money inside and that's a wonderful ministry 23:25 and what kind of things that you deny yourself. 23:29 Well, I wanna just rest of the little craft from 23:32 the craft store, but instead of buying that, 23:34 I put the money that I was put that in right. 23:36 I deny box. That's awesome. 23:38 And I also, my grandfather gave me some heritance 23:40 money and I gave hundred dollars of that too. 23:44 To I deny. I Deny. 23:45 That's wonderful, do you have any favorite 23:47 mission projects you wanna send to. 23:48 Yeah, I actually got to go to some of my 23:51 friends and so together we combined our 23:53 money and we got enough money for Church, 23:56 a bamboo church in Southeast Asia. 23:58 Wow, see boys and girls. What you can do, 24:01 you think that you too small. You can't do 24:03 anything; let me tell you Brandon is here to 24:05 tell you.
