It's almost time for Kids Time, 00:00:01.98\00:00:02.95 we're gonna be late. 00:00:03.22\00:00:04.19 It's time to share there's a world out there, 00:00:04.58\00:00:08.16 Looking for a friend like Jesus. 00:00:08.77\00:00:11.78 It's time to share there's a world out there; 00:00:12.31\00:00:16.03 let's tell them that He loves us so. 00:00:16.38\00:00:19.44 Let's tell them that He loves us so. 00:00:20.17\00:00:23.64 Kids Time, kids Time, kids Time. 00:00:24.06\00:00:29.55 Hi boys and girls, when I was little 00:00:30.54\00:00:32.60 I was afraid of a lot of things like spiders and 00:00:32.61\00:00:35.69 snakes and basically anything that crawled. 00:00:35.70\00:00:38.21 I was so glad I had parents to watch over 00:00:38.66\00:00:40.84 me and keep me safe. One thing a lot of 00:00:40.85\00:00:43.62 people afraid of his dying, but did you 00:00:43.63\00:00:45.88 know, that the Bible says that dying is just 00:00:45.89\00:00:48.20 like going to sleep. And that the dead 00:00:48.21\00:00:50.21 don't know anything just like you don't 00:00:50.22\00:00:52.66 know what's going on around you when 00:00:52.67\00:00:54.09 you're sleeping. And when Jesus comes 00:00:54.10\00:00:56.17 again, the Bible says that death in Christ 00:00:56.18\00:00:58.36 will wake up to meet Him, and we'll all go 00:00:58.37\00:01:01.04 with Him to heaven. That doesn't sound so 00:01:01.05\00:01:03.04 scary, does it? When Jesus was on this 00:01:03.05\00:01:05.70 earth, the first time He not only healed 00:01:05.71\00:01:08.24 the sick, but He actually raised some 00:01:08.25\00:01:10.26 people from the dead. Those people experienced 00:01:10.27\00:01:13.09 what it felt like to go to sleep. 00:01:13.10\00:01:14.79 And then wake up and see Jesus face, 00:01:14.80\00:01:17.08 when he raised them back to life. 00:01:17.09\00:01:18.80 Imagine the stories they had to tell. 00:01:19.26\00:01:21.39 Well, we're going to hear one of those 00:01:22.02\00:01:23.82 stories today from a young girl 00:01:23.83\00:01:25.41 who lived in Bible times. 00:01:25.42\00:01:27.09 Before we hear her story, 00:01:27.55\00:01:28.90 though let's get ready for Nature Time. 00:01:28.91\00:01:32.33 Hi boys and girls, welcome to Nature Time. 00:01:37.52\00:01:40.11 Ranger Jim its wonderful to be on 00:01:40.84\00:01:42.29 this show here together. And you know what 00:01:42.30\00:01:43.97 we're here in Western Montana at a very 00:01:43.98\00:01:46.50 special place a friend of mine 00:01:46.51\00:01:47.99 Mr. Butch Harman more affectionately 00:01:48.32\00:01:50.04 known as Butch is going to show us 00:01:50.05\00:01:52.05 something incredible. We're standing here 00:01:52.06\00:01:53.73 by his aquarium. Now, I know boys 00:01:53.74\00:01:56.16 and girls this may not look like an aquarium 00:01:56.17\00:01:57.96 to you, but out here in Western Montana this 00:01:57.97\00:02:00.45 is an aquarium. We can't put it in a 00:02:00.46\00:02:02.03 living room, we can't put it on our table, 00:02:02.04\00:02:03.99 but we can still have beautiful, 00:02:04.71\00:02:05.93 beautiful fishing. Now, these fisher 00:02:05.94\00:02:07.69 are also quite large, many of them are 00:02:07.70\00:02:09.65 over 2 feet long, if you're wondering 00:02:09.66\00:02:11.37 what kind of a fish it is, it's a 00:02:11.38\00:02:12.82 rainbow trout, very special. 00:02:12.83\00:02:14.95 Butch loves these rainbow trout, 00:02:15.54\00:02:17.15 he put this pound in especially to raise 00:02:17.16\00:02:19.34 some fish in and he had a special helper 00:02:19.35\00:02:21.73 Adriana Bann, and she is here with us too. 00:02:22.21\00:02:24.57 You know, Ranger Jim it's a very special 00:02:24.79\00:02:26.65 story about Butch and Adriana. 00:02:26.66\00:02:28.14 When Butch was putting in this pound, 00:02:28.63\00:02:30.09 Adriana was so excited about his fish 00:02:30.27\00:02:32.11 then when his fish finally arrived and he 00:02:32.34\00:02:34.31 was getting ready to plant them in this, 00:02:34.32\00:02:36.35 in this pound. Adriana was down here with 00:02:36.36\00:02:39.12 her arms down in the bucket, she was trying 00:02:39.13\00:02:41.25 to hold these little fish, as they squiggle 00:02:41.26\00:02:42.89 around and she was so anxious to, 00:02:42.90\00:02:45.14 to see them swim out here in the pound. 00:02:45.43\00:02:47.11 And so, they've a very special friendship and 00:02:47.48\00:02:49.63 I know that Adriana is excited to feed these fish. 00:02:49.64\00:02:52.30 And I know our boys and girls 00:02:52.74\00:02:54.04 here are anxious to see this fish. 00:02:54.05\00:02:55.15 I have one question Ranger Rod, good. 00:02:55.16\00:02:56.62 Now, I'm hearing a sound and I know that 00:02:56.79\00:02:58.97 rainbow trout love cold fresh water. 00:02:58.98\00:03:01.00 I'm hearing running water in the background. 00:03:01.28\00:03:03.49 Well, it is you know, this pound is actually 00:03:04.19\00:03:05.91 build on, the water has to flow through 00:03:05.92\00:03:09.07 here, it's built in an area where, 00:03:09.08\00:03:10.77 Butch has designed, so the water can flow 00:03:10.78\00:03:12.42 through here, keeps the temperature down, 00:03:12.43\00:03:14.18 rainbow trout have to live in cold water. 00:03:14.70\00:03:16.36 Yeah, okay. Cold clear water, and so 00:03:16.37\00:03:18.40 this water runs through this pound, 00:03:18.84\00:03:20.22 he has screens at both ends, 00:03:20.23\00:03:21.45 so they don't get away. So, hoping that these 00:03:21.74\00:03:25.03 beautiful eagles don't sweep down and steal 00:03:25.04\00:03:26.86 his fish or maybe the bears sometimes bears 00:03:26.87\00:03:29.16 getting the plan and they may try to steal 00:03:29.17\00:03:30.96 this fish, he's trying to keep this as protected 00:03:30.97\00:03:33.34 as possible, okay, good. But again, this 00:03:33.35\00:03:34.95 is an aquarium that is right out in nature. 00:03:34.96\00:03:36.81 This is the one that you putting, you're living. 00:03:37.09\00:03:38.38 Well, we're, we're gonna get to see them 00:03:38.39\00:03:39.40 fish are gonna be coming up. 00:03:39.41\00:03:40.82 Boys and girls, would you like to see 00:03:40.83\00:03:42.01 the fish we fed now? I would, I would. 00:03:42.02\00:03:44.34 How about you boys and girls, would you 00:03:44.35\00:03:45.38 like to see us feed the fish? Yes, yeah. 00:03:45.39\00:03:47.30 Butch and Adriana, could you feed the 00:03:47.31\00:03:48.84 fish for us? Yeah. Alright, alright. 00:03:48.85\00:03:50.62 Boys and girls watch carefully this 00:03:50.63\00:03:52.46 is gonna be fun. Wow! Okay, kids 00:03:52.47\00:03:56.19 wow! What are you seeing out there? 00:03:56.20\00:03:57.44 Oh! Aren't that beautiful? 00:03:59.21\00:04:00.34 Look at there. Now, some of this fish 00:04:01.46\00:04:03.23 Butch says weighs as much as ten pounds. 00:04:03.24\00:04:05.04 Isn't that something? Ten pound over 2 feet 00:04:05.05\00:04:07.77 long breathing a special food, Butch 00:04:07.78\00:04:09.81 buys these foods especially for these fish. 00:04:09.82\00:04:11.92 Oh! Look at that one, beautiful. 00:04:12.69\00:04:14.03 Ranger Rod tell me something more about 00:04:14.53\00:04:15.91 the rainbow trout now. I've heard about 00:04:15.92\00:04:17.70 rainbow trout and we talked about steelhead 00:04:17.71\00:04:19.94 and give us some information about that. 00:04:19.95\00:04:22.12 Alright, Ranger Jim, I would love too. 00:04:22.13\00:04:23.55 Boys and girls rainbow trout and 00:04:23.56\00:04:25.04 steelhead are very closely related, 00:04:25.05\00:04:27.15 there are almost the same an identical fish. 00:04:27.16\00:04:28.84 The difference be is that the rainbow 00:04:29.13\00:04:30.90 trout stays inland. And now do we stays 00:04:30.91\00:04:33.11 in lakes and rivers that are inside the country, 00:04:33.12\00:04:35.20 he does not venture out into the ocean. 00:04:35.40\00:04:37.09 The steelhead on the other hand, he goes 00:04:37.51\00:04:39.48 out into the ocean, he lives out in the ocean 00:04:39.49\00:04:41.84 from 1 to 4 years and then he migrates 00:04:41.85\00:04:44.25 backup the river to the very place where he 00:04:44.60\00:04:47.76 was spawned or where he was born as a fish. 00:04:47.77\00:04:50.16 He lays his eggs; she lays her eggs there 00:04:50.51\00:04:52.40 and then she swims back out to the ocean. 00:04:52.99\00:04:55.33 And she can do this four, at least four 00:04:55.81\00:04:58.24 times the, the steelhead lay their eggs. 00:04:58.25\00:05:01.00 Different then lets say the Pacific Salmon, 00:05:01.68\00:05:03.72 then boys and girls you've heard these 00:05:04.10\00:05:05.15 stories about Pacific Salmon. 00:05:05.16\00:05:06.23 How they'll swim up stream miles and 00:05:06.54\00:05:08.41 miles and miles hundreds of miles, 00:05:08.42\00:05:10.05 they go over dams, they'll swim in they'll, 00:05:10.40\00:05:13.40 they'll get over incredible obstacles, 00:05:13.71\00:05:15.70 right, to give back to the, to the very spot 00:05:15.71\00:05:17.92 where they were born to lay their eggs, 00:05:17.93\00:05:19.98 but they die there, they don't go back out 00:05:20.55\00:05:22.90 to the ocean. The steelhead actually 00:05:22.91\00:05:25.18 goes back out to the ocean, yeah, makes 00:05:25.19\00:05:27.03 this trip several times. The rainbow trout 00:05:27.04\00:05:29.64 stays inland, right, maintains their 00:05:29.65\00:05:31.66 beautiful red trip that you see down the side 00:05:31.67\00:05:33.85 of the beautiful rainbow trout, yeah. 00:05:33.86\00:05:35.18 He keeps that all through his life and, 00:05:35.50\00:05:37.25 and you're mentioning in fact, Ranger Jim 00:05:37.26\00:05:39.23 that sometimes the, the, the lake or the 00:05:39.66\00:05:41.74 surface of the bottom of the lake has 00:05:42.00\00:05:43.10 something to do with that color. 00:05:43.11\00:05:44.08 That's right, we have, we have many of the 00:05:44.09\00:05:46.18 large population of rainbow trout in the 00:05:46.83\00:05:48.55 Michigan and the rivers, but particularly 00:05:48.56\00:05:50.63 in lake Michigan, lake superior and, 00:05:50.64\00:05:53.38 in those large lakes where we have a clear 00:05:53.39\00:05:55.23 sandy bottom, the color is not merely so 00:05:55.24\00:05:57.47 distinctive as it is and streams that have a 00:05:57.48\00:06:00.02 different colored bottom to them, wow! 00:06:00.03\00:06:03.20 And so, these steelhead in Michigan 00:06:03.21\00:06:05.33 when they're running primarily to the 00:06:05.34\00:06:06.57 spawning runs coincide with that 00:06:06.58\00:06:08.24 of the seaman. And the steelhead 00:06:08.25\00:06:09.78 comes along and they're feeding along 00:06:09.79\00:06:11.13 with the bottom on the salmon eggs. 00:06:11.14\00:06:12.57 Oh! So, they're saying, thank you very much 00:06:12.58\00:06:14.19 for your exile like those, you're picking 00:06:14.20\00:06:15.64 them up just like they were popcorn 00:06:15.65\00:06:17.06 or watch them coming along to gobble this 00:06:17.07\00:06:18.63 one, picking that one and thank you very much. 00:06:18.64\00:06:19.98 You know, so you're, so you're saying then 00:06:19.99\00:06:21.69 that the steelhead that to go to their ocean, 00:06:21.70\00:06:23.37 they actually can lose that red beautiful band. 00:06:23.85\00:06:26.12 Yes, they may lose it considerable; 00:06:26.13\00:06:27.63 they won't be nearly as bright as you 00:06:27.64\00:06:29.17 would see here, now. What color do they 00:06:29.18\00:06:30.39 turn now? Well, it just much paler, 00:06:30.40\00:06:32.09 is once you've to hold them to really look 00:06:32.36\00:06:33.90 and see that, whereas if you catch one here, 00:06:33.91\00:06:36.01 it is and in sun it just sparkles, beautiful. 00:06:36.19\00:06:38.63 You know, I'm noticing there are 00:06:38.64\00:06:39.61 many of these fishes sparkling, those little. 00:06:39.62\00:06:41.52 Now, you maybe you could tell us 00:06:41.53\00:06:42.55 Ranger Jim, is that a these fish have scales, 00:06:42.56\00:06:44.87 this is a trout, it's a true trout? 00:06:44.88\00:06:46.14 Yes, it is a true trout, stout trout 00:06:46.15\00:06:48.14 and it has scales. They're very fine; 00:06:48.15\00:06:50.39 many people don't think they've because 00:06:50.40\00:06:51.81 when they touched them, the scales are so 00:06:51.82\00:06:53.32 fine, it feels like little bit skin. 00:06:53.33\00:06:54.97 Interesting, but they do have scales and for 00:06:55.18\00:06:57.37 those people that live in certain areas or 00:06:57.38\00:06:59.20 people who eat them, they're considered 00:06:59.21\00:07:00.90 to clean fish. And if you eat fish, 00:07:00.91\00:07:02.74 they're considered in mostly like here in 00:07:03.01\00:07:04.60 Montana, they would be one of the cleanest 00:07:04.61\00:07:06.25 fishes you could eat. Wow! But in some 00:07:06.26\00:07:07.84 parts of the country all rivers and all are 00:07:07.85\00:07:09.79 so polluted that that's no longer safe, so. 00:07:09.80\00:07:12.27 Wow! We, hasn't this been fun boys and girls? 00:07:12.28\00:07:14.67 Yes, aren't these fish beautiful? 00:07:14.68\00:07:16.36 Yeah, praise the Lord for beautiful fish 00:07:16.37\00:07:18.24 Ranger Jim. Yeah, you see we could 00:07:18.25\00:07:19.36 spend all day and talk about them, 00:07:19.37\00:07:20.48 it's hot out here in the sun, but once again 00:07:20.74\00:07:22.25 Rod, what a wonderful thing, 00:07:22.26\00:07:23.62 when we think our Father made it, amen. 00:07:23.63\00:07:25.87 And he made it for us to see, beautiful. 00:07:25.88\00:07:28.21 Boys and girls Ranger Jim, and Ranger Rod 00:07:28.22\00:07:31.65 saying, don't forget to tell Jesus you love 00:07:31.66\00:07:34.07 Him because He really does love you. 00:07:34.08\00:07:37.36 Welcome to Learning Time. 00:10:26.17\00:10:27.27 Thanks for joining us today. 00:10:27.67\00:10:29.09 Hey, we're gonna talk about some animals 00:10:29.10\00:10:31.33 that I think are really special. 00:10:31.34\00:10:33.12 You know, we've got some special people 00:10:33.47\00:10:35.37 in the audience that are gonna help us. 00:10:35.38\00:10:36.94 I got Jessie over here, Jessie, do you've any 00:10:37.29\00:10:39.54 animals at your house? Cool, I love dogs. And we got Max over 00:11:07.75\00:11:10.39 here; we got a dog here as well. 00:11:10.40\00:11:12.00 Well, hey why don't we get our helpers 00:11:12.24\00:11:13.45 to come up here. I have got some 00:11:13.46\00:11:14.64 things that I want them to identify. 00:11:14.65\00:11:16.43 And some of you maybe are able to 00:11:16.86\00:11:18.46 identify these things, I don't know. 00:11:18.47\00:11:20.82 First of all, I've got a couple of sticks and 00:11:21.24\00:11:23.80 here, take a look at those sticks and see 00:11:23.81\00:11:25.42 what you think about those, what kind 00:11:25.43\00:11:26.70 of sticks are they? What do you think? 00:11:26.71\00:11:28.03 What do you think? Smooth. 00:11:30.11\00:11:31.94 What? They're smooth. 00:11:32.29\00:11:33.50 You know, when animal has had those 00:11:33.51\00:11:34.99 sticks, what kind of an animal do you 00:11:35.00\00:11:37.06 think had those sticks? What do you think? 00:11:37.07\00:11:39.30 Not for sure. Not for sure, 00:11:40.41\00:11:41.43 what do you think? A beaver, a beaver. 00:11:41.44\00:11:43.70 Oh! That's right a beaver. Beaver will chew off 00:11:43.71\00:11:46.74 the outer layers of branches because 00:11:47.23\00:11:49.41 that's what they feed on interesting, isn't it? 00:11:49.42\00:11:51.35 Hey, hey check this out, man I've got a 00:11:51.36\00:11:55.24 big log right here. And what do you 00:11:55.25\00:11:57.90 think was chewing on this log? 00:11:57.91\00:11:59.68 Beaver, a beaver. That's right, a beaver, 00:11:59.69\00:12:02.22 hey, could you guys chew down a tree this size? 00:12:02.23\00:12:04.96 No. Oh! I don't think so, you're gonna have 00:12:04.97\00:12:07.17 to go see the dentist or you would break 00:12:07.18\00:12:08.85 your teeth, that's interesting, isn't it? 00:12:08.86\00:12:10.60 Yes, well you know what I've got a skull 00:12:10.61\00:12:12.86 of one of those animals. In fact, this is a top of 00:12:12.87\00:12:16.58 the skull; look at those big teeth right there. 00:12:16.59\00:12:18.72 And those big teeth can chomp in to their 00:12:19.20\00:12:21.94 trees, they can cut a big old tree down. 00:12:21.95\00:12:24.25 And look it right here, here is the bottom 00:12:24.43\00:12:25.88 teeth and those bottom teeth will fit 00:12:25.89\00:12:28.34 right underneath here. And that's our little 00:12:28.35\00:12:30.54 beaver friend, isn't that cool? Yeah, yeah. 00:12:30.55\00:12:32.54 I mean that's cool. You know, beavers 00:12:32.55\00:12:34.03 teeth they keep growing and growing 00:12:34.04\00:12:36.30 and growing all the full life of the beaver, 00:12:36.31\00:12:38.67 that's why they gnaw sometimes, they want 00:12:38.68\00:12:40.70 those teeth to get too big, those teeth could 00:12:40.71\00:12:42.75 hurt them, if they got too long, but you 00:12:42.76\00:12:44.91 know, what this particular animal has 00:12:44.92\00:12:47.06 eyes on the side of it's head or are they on 00:12:47.07\00:12:50.70 the front of it's head? On the side, side. 00:12:50.71\00:12:53.19 They're on the side because a beaver is an 00:12:53.20\00:12:54.97 animal that we call a predator or a prey animal? 00:12:54.98\00:12:58.94 Prey, prey. A prey animal some other 00:12:58.95\00:13:00.92 manner, some other animals would like to 00:13:00.93\00:13:02.88 eat them up, that's why they have their 00:13:02.89\00:13:04.51 eyes on sides of their head, interesting isn't it? 00:13:04.52\00:13:07.73 Yeah. Hey, let me tell you, I've got another 00:13:07.74\00:13:10.42 one right here and it's not a beaver, 00:13:10.43\00:13:12.20 but I want you to guess what kind of 00:13:12.21\00:13:14.19 animal this could be. And so, let me hold 00:13:14.20\00:13:16.11 this thing upright here, and check this 00:13:16.12\00:13:18.52 one out right here. What do you suppose 00:13:18.53\00:13:21.06 this animal is? Let's get that down here, 00:13:21.07\00:13:24.33 here we go. Wow! What kind of animal 00:13:24.34\00:13:26.12 you think that is? Dog, dog. 00:13:26.13\00:13:28.17 Well, that would be a dog, I wouldn't want 00:13:28.18\00:13:29.96 to see. It's a bear; think of that it's a bear skull. 00:13:29.97\00:13:34.92 That's right; a bear used to live in there. 00:13:34.93\00:13:36.67 And that was part of the bear. 00:13:36.68\00:13:38.05 And you know, what the bear, the bear 00:13:38.37\00:13:40.13 actually has eyes that look forward or look 00:13:40.14\00:13:43.50 from the side? Forward. Their forward looking 00:13:43.51\00:13:46.08 eyes because you know why? 00:13:46.09\00:13:47.65 The bear is a, what kind of an animal? 00:13:47.66\00:13:49.76 Predator, predator oh! Predator, that's right. 00:13:49.77\00:13:52.19 It finds other things to eat of course some 00:13:52.59\00:13:54.48 bears and most bears will eat plants too, right. 00:13:54.49\00:13:57.53 And, and other vegetables and. 00:13:57.54\00:13:59.27 And that's interesting. Well, what we're 00:14:00.63\00:14:02.10 gonna do here is we're gonna take a bite, 00:14:02.11\00:14:03.53 no we're not gonna take a bite out of 00:14:03.54\00:14:04.59 something, but that reminds me that there 00:14:04.60\00:14:06.33 are animals that are prey animals and they 00:14:06.34\00:14:08.50 usually have forward facing eyes. 00:14:08.51\00:14:10.76 And that's whey they zero went on their 00:14:11.17\00:14:12.64 prey, and then they pounce upon them or 00:14:12.65\00:14:14.51 chase them down or something. 00:14:14.52\00:14:15.52 And then we have animals like the 00:14:15.97\00:14:18.06 beaver and the have eyes on the side 00:14:18.07\00:14:19.55 of their head. Interesting, isn't it? 00:14:19.56\00:14:21.12 Hey, I've got, I've got one more, check this 00:14:21.13\00:14:23.30 one out. In fact, somebody may 00:14:23.31\00:14:25.34 identify this animal right here because 00:14:25.35\00:14:27.59 you might have one of these around. 00:14:27.60\00:14:29.56 What kind of an animal is that? 00:14:29.86\00:14:31.08 Squirrel. A squirrel, oh boy, this would be 00:14:31.80\00:14:34.66 some kind of mean squirrel, I'll tell you what? 00:14:34.67\00:14:37.06 It's a cat, cat; it belongs to the cat family. 00:14:37.42\00:14:39.96 Bob cat. And it's, it's that's right it's a bob cat. 00:14:39.97\00:14:42.64 A bob cat, some bob cats can be ninety or 00:14:43.14\00:14:45.89 a hundred pounds. And we're talking 00:14:45.90\00:14:47.25 about big animals. In fact, the bob cat 00:14:47.26\00:14:49.06 can bring down a deer, isn't that interesting? 00:14:49.07\00:14:51.34 Yes. Now, a bob cat. And I wouldn't want 00:14:51.35\00:14:52.82 to get into a fight with that kind of an animal. 00:14:52.83\00:14:54.35 Now, are the eyes on the front or the 00:14:54.77\00:14:56.39 sides of a bob cat? Front. They're front 00:14:56.40\00:14:59.13 because they're predators, isn't that interesting? 00:14:59.14\00:15:01.09 I think so too. But you know what? 00:15:01.75\00:15:03.26 God gave animals all kinds of different eyes. 00:15:03.67\00:15:05.83 Some eyes are facing forward on those 00:15:06.19\00:15:07.95 animals because they're the animals 00:15:07.96\00:15:09.41 that are, are gonna have to catch their 00:15:09.42\00:15:11.81 foods somehow and track it down. 00:15:11.82\00:15:13.79 And they're called what? Predator. 00:15:13.80\00:15:16.02 Predator animals, that's right. 00:15:16.03\00:15:17.45 Now, what about our eyes, our eyes facing 00:15:17.67\00:15:19.50 forward or are they on the side? 00:15:19.51\00:15:20.78 Facing, facing forward. Forward, but you know what? 00:15:21.09\00:15:23.61 We don't have to chase down animal 00:15:23.87\00:15:25.10 sometimes to eat because we've got 00:15:25.11\00:15:26.76 plenty of food. Even if we don't catching 00:15:26.77\00:15:28.73 them, was that right? Yes, that's interesting 00:15:28.74\00:15:30.78 to me too. Well, remember boys and 00:15:30.79\00:15:32.76 girls, whenever we study more about science, 00:15:32.77\00:15:36.08 we learned more about our creator God. 00:15:36.26\00:15:39.57 Are you making a new pot? Oh! Yeah, this was 00:15:45.43\00:15:48.88 about half way done, it still needs some more work. 00:15:48.89\00:15:51.96 Jesus made me new again. Really? Sounds like 00:15:54.24\00:15:58.90 you have a story for me, why don't you tell me? 00:15:58.91\00:16:01.25 Alright, well it started about two months ago. 00:16:02.48\00:16:07.20 One morning I woke up everything hurt. 00:16:08.35\00:16:12.40 I was freezing hot, I was burning hot I'm sorry, 00:16:14.45\00:16:19.46 but freezing cold. I really didn't feel 00:16:19.47\00:16:24.14 good at all. Daddy called lots of 00:16:24.15\00:16:26.95 doctors to come and visit me. 00:16:26.96\00:16:28.56 And every night after he had finish telling 00:16:30.77\00:16:34.79 me the nightly story, I would ask him, 00:16:34.80\00:16:38.49 when am I going to get well? 00:16:39.64\00:16:41.10 But you know, at first he always told me. 00:16:42.53\00:16:47.02 Well, the doctor said that maybe in a day or two, 00:16:48.49\00:16:51.00 but later on he started to get really, really worried. 00:16:51.89\00:16:55.14 I would hear him in the kitchen in hush 00:16:55.91\00:16:58.43 conversation with my mother. 00:16:58.44\00:17:00.02 They were really getting worried. 00:17:01.49\00:17:02.98 The days and the weeks passed and 00:17:04.29\00:17:06.35 I wasn't getting any better. 00:17:06.36\00:17:07.76 I was getting worse. One day, I didn't even 00:17:08.16\00:17:12.31 wake up whenever my mother told me to 00:17:12.32\00:17:14.68 wake up to eat breakfast. They called over a doctor, 00:17:14.69\00:17:18.93 I was dead. You were dead? 00:17:19.15\00:17:22.47 Yes. Well, what did that feel like? 00:17:23.22\00:17:27.46 Well, to tell you the truth, it's almost like 00:17:28.45\00:17:32.17 you're sleeping, it's like you're sleeping. 00:17:33.30\00:17:35.95 And then a little morning you wake up. 00:17:36.81\00:17:39.17 And I saw Jesus' face, it was them whose 00:17:40.06\00:17:43.95 wonderful thing. He had the kindest 00:17:43.96\00:17:47.01 eyes and most wonderful smile in 00:17:47.02\00:17:50.46 the world, but not only that 00:17:50.47\00:17:53.67 something shown from inside of Him. 00:17:54.15\00:17:56.20 I don't know why? But I felt so attracted 00:17:58.60\00:18:01.90 to Him. You know, I had to go and console 00:18:01.91\00:18:05.05 my mother and father they were crying, 00:18:05.06\00:18:06.78 but I really, really wanted to stay with 00:18:07.44\00:18:10.86 Jesus, learned more who about who He was? 00:18:10.87\00:18:14.92 You know, a lot of people feel that way, 00:18:15.96\00:18:19.51 when they meet Jesus for the first time? 00:18:19.52\00:18:21.23 Yes, what so special about Him? 00:18:22.48\00:18:26.67 Well, it's hard to say, but I think it's 00:18:30.28\00:18:33.30 something about His eyes like when you 00:18:33.77\00:18:35.78 look at Him you just feel like he loves you 00:18:35.79\00:18:38.42 so much, yes. I met Jesus not too long ago 00:18:38.43\00:18:42.04 and, when I talked to Him, something in my 00:18:42.05\00:18:43.84 heart just said that this is it. 00:18:43.85\00:18:47.59 You know, He is the Messiah. 00:18:48.10\00:18:49.59 The Messiah. And must be kind of think 00:18:49.81\00:18:53.27 about this pot right here. Now, you and me 00:18:53.28\00:18:55.93 were like, were like the clay right now. 00:18:55.94\00:18:58.90 Not much shape can really do anything with it. 00:18:59.69\00:19:02.21 But what Jesus, there is a little bit of water 00:19:02.95\00:19:05.28 in His hands, He molds us, He makes 00:19:05.85\00:19:08.64 us into something useful, to something 00:19:08.65\00:19:11.22 beautiful. From your story it sounds like He 00:19:12.17\00:19:15.98 is, He is working on you and He has got 00:19:15.99\00:19:18.18 great plans for you. Yes, could, could 00:19:18.19\00:19:24.99 I buy that pot when you're finished with it? 00:19:25.00\00:19:27.34 No. No. This pot is not for sale. 00:19:31.01\00:19:33.99 No. This pot is gonna be a gift for you. 00:19:35.08\00:19:38.65 I want you to have this in your kitchen, 00:19:40.09\00:19:41.82 so that every time you see it, you remember 00:19:42.24\00:19:44.86 that Jesus is working on you and you want 00:19:45.41\00:19:47.89 to surrender to Him. Thank you. 00:19:47.90\00:19:50.98 You know, let's talking about Jesus 00:19:51.58\00:19:53.12 makes me want to talk to Him. 00:19:53.56\00:19:55.11 Would you like to say a prayer with me? 00:19:55.55\00:19:56.98 I'd love too. Let's pray, dear Jesus help 00:19:57.59\00:20:01.60 us to remember that we're the clay and 00:20:01.61\00:20:04.31 you're the potter. Help us to surrender to you, 00:20:04.32\00:20:07.13 amen. Amen. Thank you for telling me 00:20:07.59\00:20:10.85 your story. Thank you, you can buy 00:20:10.86\00:20:13.77 about a week and this will be done, I'll give 00:20:13.78\00:20:15.67 it to you. Wow! I'm so excited that you're here today. 00:21:44.69\00:21:47.06 Can you introduce who you brought with 00:21:47.07\00:21:49.20 you to the program? I brought my mom 00:21:49.21\00:21:51.56 and my dog Lilly. And your dog Lilly. 00:21:51.57\00:21:54.52 Now, I understand your dog is a very 00:21:54.95\00:21:56.56 special dog; Lilly is called what kind of dog? 00:21:56.57\00:21:58.83 A therapy dog. A therapy dog. 00:21:58.84\00:22:00.88 And why is that, what, what kind of 00:22:01.15\00:22:02.68 you know, does that mean that your dog 00:22:03.02\00:22:04.35 goes and gets therapy or what is that? 00:22:04.36\00:22:06.33 Well, we take it to the nursing home, when 00:22:06.94\00:22:08.66 we go and sing. And mommy and 00:22:08.67\00:22:11.85 I take her around on the patients and they 00:22:11.86\00:22:13.78 can pet her and see her and it's really fun. 00:22:13.79\00:22:17.43 And some people really like it. 00:22:17.44\00:22:18.60 They do, and have you had any wonderful 00:22:19.03\00:22:21.11 experiences during that? Well, that was just 00:22:21.12\00:22:23.31 one man and he couldn't speak and but 00:22:23.32\00:22:26.05 he just put his hands on her fur and he just 00:22:26.06\00:22:28.13 laughed out loud. That's amazing, mom 00:22:28.14\00:22:32.04 tell us what has been the biggest blessing 00:22:32.05\00:22:34.09 being involved in this ministry? 00:22:34.89\00:22:36.20 Well, I think beyond the joy that it brings 00:22:37.02\00:22:39.59 to the people is the blessing that it is to 00:22:39.60\00:22:42.55 our family. We can do it together, 00:22:42.56\00:22:45.30 we can share God's love in a, in a way 00:22:45.96\00:22:51.10 that drowses all in including our dog. 00:22:51.11\00:22:53.57 Right, and it's so important nowadays 00:22:54.01\00:22:56.47 I believe to instilling to your children the 00:22:56.48\00:23:00.16 importance of giving to others. 00:23:00.17\00:23:01.50 It's so important that you know, 00:23:01.88\00:23:03.53 in this world where everybody is just 00:23:03.54\00:23:04.74 giving your kids stuff. All the most important 00:23:04.75\00:23:08.27 thing we can do for our children is to 00:23:08.28\00:23:10.18 instill into them the characters, their 00:23:10.19\00:23:12.55 characters that that God wants to, them to 00:23:12.56\00:23:14.58 have of, of Him. And to, to give the others 00:23:14.59\00:23:17.56 and have that servant's heart is so important. 00:23:17.57\00:23:19.53 That's right. And I can see that you love your 00:23:19.70\00:23:21.66 children and are instilling that in them 00:23:21.67\00:23:23.20 and I want to thank you for that and it, 00:23:23.21\00:23:25.50 should inspire mothers everywhere 00:23:25.51\00:23:26.85 I believe to, to really teach 00:23:26.86\00:23:28.60 their children to give.
