00:01 It's almost time for Kids Time, we're gonna be late.
00:04 It's time to share there's a world out there,
00:08 Looking for a friend like Jesus.
00:12 It's time to share there's a world out there.
00:16 Let's tell them that He loves us so.
00:20 Let's tell them that He loves us so.
00:24 Kid's time, kid's time, kid's time.
00:31 Hi, Boys and Girls. Have you noticed all
00:33 the news lately about what is happening all
00:35 over the world. You probably wonder
00:37 sometimes what all the fighting is about.
00:39 I know I do. There once was a young man, who
00:42 grew up and he wanted to be a soldier.
00:44 That's all he wanted. And when he was a
00:46 little boy, he liked to play with his toy
00:48 soldiers and dress up in military costumes.
00:50 He loved to play war with his friends.
00:53 While his dream came true and he eventually
00:56 fought a real battle. And what he saw there
00:58 changed his mind about war forever. He realized
01:02 that it wasn't a big game after all. Even men with
01:05 big guns and all the best training can die in a war.
01:09 I have a picture some men helping the
01:11 wounded on the battlefield in a war that
01:13 was spot right here in my country.
01:15 It's a very sad scene, isn't it?
01:18 Boys and girls our story today is about a nation,
01:21 who thought that they can fight and win
01:23 victories against their enemies on their own,
01:26 but they soon learned a very big lesson out on
01:28 the battlefield. Well here all about that battle
01:31 in just a little bit, but right now; Hey, Max
01:35 let's get ready for our Nature Time.
01:43 Hi, Boys and Girls. I am Ranger Rod.
01:45 Welcome to Nature Time. We are here in
01:47 Western Montana and I am with my friend
01:49 Christy Novak here on the Spring Brook Ranch
01:52 and we are doing something awesome.
01:54 We are feeding baby. What are they?
01:57 Tibetan Yak. Tibetan Yaks. This is incredible.
02:01 Shouldn't their mummy be doing this?
02:03 Normally they would. These particular ones
02:06 we pour after 48 hours and we nurse them and
02:10 we become their moms. They will become pack
02:13 animals. They will go everywhere we go.
02:16 We do parades. We do school functions those
02:21 who is able to go. And so these will be
02:23 safe for kids, absolutely, or for people that pedal,
02:26 absolutely, and handle and be around them.
02:28 Boys and girls these are the, they are so soft.
02:30 Is that normal for an animal? It is.
02:34 Is this big to be that soft? They are normally softer
02:36 when they are first born. Right now they are starting
02:39 to get their fur and they are starting to get a
02:42 skirts and wool up a little bit.
02:45 There skits, you say their skirts, they wear skirts.
02:47 They wear belly skirts. Belly skirts
02:51 You mean it's made out of hair.
02:52 It's made out of hair. Yak hair.
02:54 And it will grow long and cover their toes.
02:58 All the way down to the ground.
02:59 All the way down to the ground.
03:00 They look like little caterpillars.
03:01 That must be beautiful. How big will they get.
03:03 They get between 600 and 800 pounds for a
03:05 girl and 1200 to 1600 pounds for a boy,
03:09 so these. These are going to be steers and steers
03:12 make the best pets. So these are steers and
03:14 steers make the best pets. Umm! Umm!
03:15 They are so beautiful and they get so big,
03:18 so then would they still be safe as a big 1600
03:21 pound steer. Well, the steer won't get
03:23 quite that big. They will get big by 800 pounds
03:26 only because they are steers and they will be
03:30 with us and How old, how old are
03:34 these little steers? These are 3 months old.
03:37 So, they 3 months old. Where they are born in
03:38 kind of cold weather here in Montana.
03:40 They are, they are. It was a little chilly.
03:42 So, this fur that they have on them that keeps
03:45 more even as babies. It does the water can't
03:47 penetrate, so the water literally floats off the
03:50 bags of these. What is this that we are
03:53 feeding them and this doesn't look like a
03:54 mommy Tibetan Yak. This is a lamb milk replacer.
03:58 Lamb milk replacer. Umm! Umm! They get
04:00 them 2 to 3 times a day. Okay.
04:03 And we will feed them for another first 6 months.
04:06 They look like they really like it.
04:07 Yes. They, they know their creatures of habit,
04:11 so they are on a time schedule.
04:13 Isn't that incredible? That is so beautiful.
04:18 Woh! Boys and girls the opportunity to be
04:21 with an animal that's this beautiful, that's this
04:23 tame is awesome. What else can you tell me
04:27 about these, these animals? Well, they are hardy
04:29 even if they are born in, you know, sub zero
04:32 weather. They are born with so much fur that
04:35 they are hardy little animals. They don't get
04:38 a lot of diseases that a bovines do. They.
04:43 So, the, the bovine that's a cow.
04:45 That's a cow. And so they differ from
04:46 a cow obviously in the fact that they are not,
04:49 not naturally from North America.
04:52 They are not, they are not from this area.
04:54 Right. But, they are still like a cow.
04:56 Now, in the country where they come from
04:58 what do they do with the mare?
04:59 They use them for pack animals. The sherpa is
05:03 what actually bring them in their homes
05:05 with them. Now a sherpa, he is
05:07 somebody who takes people up in the mountains.
05:09 Right. And packs their
05:11 equipment form like mountain climbers if
05:13 there was somebody up and wanted to go on an
05:15 expedition up in the mountain. He would
05:17 hire a sherpa and you are saying the sherpa
05:19 would have maybe some yaks. The yaks, Aha! Aha!
05:21 The yaks would carry their, their luggage and
05:24 anything that they had. And they tie that on
05:26 their backs. Umm! Umm! But they
05:28 actually live with their yaks. The yaks will
05:30 come in the house, in the house and they treat
05:31 them just like their family. Their milk is extremely rich.
05:37 It's, we personally don't milk our yaks.
05:39 But, I know people that, that do milk come in
05:42 and it's just cream. Woh! It didn't take
05:45 them that long to finish that off. Now what they
05:46 are going do? They are going to go play.
05:48 They are really fresh after they eat and I love
05:51 to play with them and they will chase you around.
05:53 Oh! They are just so incredible.
05:54 Thank you so much. You are welcome.
05:57 Until next time. This is Ranger Rod.

08:29 Welcome to learning time. Thanks for joining us today.
08:32 You know today I am gonna ask some people
08:34 some questions. In fact, I have got three helpers right
08:37 here. Let's ask them a question as well.
08:40 Jessica do you have a favorite juice?
08:43 Ah! Mango juice. Mango juice. I love mango
08:48 juice and it's make so good seed.
08:49 Right, have you ever seen the seed inside the mango?
08:52 Yes. That's a huge seed, isn't it?
08:55 Now I have got Justine down here. Justin,
08:57 do you have a favorite juice?
08:58 Lime juice. Lime juice. Well it kind a
09:01 make you pucker up sometimes, doesn't it?
09:03 Yeah. Yeah. Then I've got Luke, way back over there.
09:06 Luke, do you have a favorite juice?
09:08 Either lemon or apple. Lemon or apple.
09:11 Well, I love both of those and let me ask you.
09:14 Do you have a favorite juice just
09:16 tell me what is it? Lime. Wow! Sounds like fruit
09:21 punch to me. That's interesting, isn't it.
09:23 Hey, let me get my helpers to come up here.
09:25 We are gonna do an interesting experiment.
09:27 Now this experiment you can do at home.
09:30 You love those experiments, so you can do at home.
09:32 Yes. That will be great. So, come on back here,
09:35 yeah, you can stand right here and we've got three
09:38 containers right here. These are two liter bottles, right.
09:41 Yup! So, instead of throwing these away you could, what?
09:45 Recycle. Recycle. We should recycle
09:47 whenever possible. So, we've got three and
09:49 we are actually going to do some experiments with
09:51 these three containers. First of all, hey, you know, let's
09:54 start out with Justine, okay. Now is what I like you
09:57 have to do? Just I want you to move back behind here.
09:59 We've got a little tray. We got to have something to
10:01 catch water otherwise we gonna make a mess.
10:03 You know, ever make messes do you Justine.
10:05 Oh! Sometimes. Okay, we will not today.
10:07 Well comeback over here, right behind it.
10:10 Oh! What I'm gonna do is this. I'm gonna have Justine
10:14 do something to the bottle. He is gonna try to get the
10:15 water out of the bottle just as quick as he can, but you
10:18 can't squeeze the bottle, okay. So, what I'm gonna
10:20 ask you to do, I'm gonna ask you to pick the bottle
10:22 up and just turn it upside down, okay. So, you can
10:25 turn right side, you know, upside down.
10:27 Don't squeeze it and the water is gonna come in
10:29 here and you think you can do that?
10:31 Yeah. Okay, don't get it slip?
10:33 Okay. Okay. Okay, are you ready?
10:35 Are you ready? Let's count.
10:37 Oh! Yeh! That's a good idea. Let's count 3 to 1.
10:39 Let's give him a countdown. 3, and 2 and 1.
10:43 Upside down and just hold it just like that and just hold
10:46 it, don't squeeze it. Just hold it right there.
10:47 Is it coming out fast. No. It's kind a going the blunk,
10:52 blunk, blunk, isn't it. You see it's bubbling.
10:55 Yes. Yeah. It's kind a get some
10:58 air in there. You know, if there is no air in there,
11:01 if there is no air vent then we have a problem getting
11:04 the water out. Okay, I want you to set the bottle down
11:06 there. Thanks Justine for helping us do that.
11:09 And see Luke wanted to come over here and Justine
11:11 I want you to change places with him and we actually
11:13 have two bottles here, okay. And here why don't you,
11:18 why don't you take that one stand right here in front of
11:20 this one, okay. And I need for you to come over here,
11:22 so you can have this one right here. We are going to
11:24 have a race. Have you ever had a water race?
11:26 Yes. This is one time when you
11:29 can have a water race. What we want to do is we
11:31 want to see who can get the water out of their bottle
11:34 first. But you know what Luke you are gonna do
11:36 exactly what Justine did, okay. I want you to turn
11:39 your bottle when we have a countdown, okay for this.
11:42 And he is gonna turn his bottle upside down.
11:44 You are gonna turn your bottle upside down too
11:46 at the same time, right. You are not going to squeeze
11:48 your bottle at all. If you squeeze that's cheating.
11:51 So, don't, don't cheat on us, right.
11:52 And you gonna hold it and just let it drain out, just as
11:55 quickly as you can, right. But, you know, what we are
11:57 gonna do? You know, what you are gonna do.
12:00 Yup! You gonna, we are gonna do at the same time.
12:02 But I am gonna put a little swirl in it as you are
12:04 holding it, okay. And we gonna make a little vent
12:07 and see which one comes out first. Are you ready?
12:10 Yes. We are gonna do it at the same time.
12:12 We are gonna have a race. I think she is gonna win.
12:14 You think she is gonna win. Why do you think she is
12:16 going to win Luke? Because of the vent,
12:18 she can get the air in and pushes the rest out faster
12:21 then one has to try and get out of the same spot.
12:23 Hey, sounds like it might work, right, okay.
12:27 Let's get ready, put your bottles up over here
12:29 because we don't want to make a mess, do we?
12:31 Okay and get ready to do this. Shall we give them a
12:35 count down? Yes. Alright, you ready Luke.
12:39 Are you ready? Yes. Okay, right, we may want
12:41 to hold that bottle kind of at the bottom like she
12:43 is doing. Otherwise, we might squeeze it and if you
12:45 squeeze it you see that's cheating. I don't want you
12:47 to cheat. Alright, let's give them a
12:49 countdown, here we go. 3, 2, 1. Hold it like that
12:54 and we are gonna hold it, keep it
12:55 going and we gonna swirl this
13:06 and the winner right here. Woh! Give her a nice hand.
13:09 What's happening Luke. Is that a slow one?
13:13 Oh! Now, now what did you do. He made that swirl,
13:17 you know, when that thing swirls what we did was we
13:19 made a little what? What was that?
13:21 Vent. Hollow twister, right, we call it vertex.
13:25 It's kind a like a twister, like a tornado but it did
13:28 exactly what Luke said it would do, right.
13:31 It create a little vent, right, so that the air could come
13:34 out, right, so if the air could come out and that
13:36 really help the water to come out as well.
13:39 Hey, that's interesting, isn't it? Well, you can
13:41 have a race at home. You can race each other.
13:44 But, you know, what would happen if you
13:45 squeeze the bottle, you probably make a real
13:46 mess won't you. Yes. I do to. Well, you know,
13:50 that's why sometimes when you have a
13:51 container it is just kind of little tiny, tiny vent,
13:54 a little vent hole that you put in it and so it
13:56 makes it easier to fill containers and also to
14:00 get liquids out of them, isn't interesting?
14:02 Yes. Well, air pressure is very interesting as well.
14:06 Remember Boys and Girls every time we study more
14:09 about science, we learn more about our creator God.
14:23 Oh! Oh! That's Joanna's husband. He must be
14:27 back from the battlefield. Oh! Joanna that your husband.
14:33 Oh! Oh! My goodness. Honey what happened?
14:37 In the Battle, what happened. It was the battle.
14:39 Oh! The battle is hard. The battle is hard.
14:43 Give me some water. Somebody give me
14:45 some water, bandages, please.
14:47 What happened? The battle is hard
14:50 fought, is hard fought. We just fought with
14:52 Philistines. It was well, we fought valuably
14:56 I meant. That's men fought hard very
14:59 valuably. We fought in battle and it was hard,
15:04 I fought, I fought with a sword, that sword was
15:09 thirsty and fought with Philistine,
15:12 but throughout we, we lost four thousand men
15:19 in the battle, four thousand. It was sad,
15:25 it was a sad battle throughout.
15:29 As we fought, so we caught, we caught for
15:34 the Ark of the Covenant from Shiloh.
15:36 We say sure the Ark will save us, so we
15:40 called for Hophni and Phinehas and we said
15:42 bring the Ark, bring the Ark from Shiloh for the
15:45 next battle so that we can face the Philistines
15:47 and defeat them. And then God's people saw
15:50 the Ark of the Covenant. Joanna they cheered,
15:55 they, they laughed and cheered they said,
15:57 God's Ark will defeat the Philistines.
16:00 Bring God's Ark forward, so we can fight
16:02 the Philistines. It will be this Ark that will save
16:04 us from their wrath. They've always fought
16:07 us with such, with such value there. They are so
16:10 hard and so mean, but we, we brought the Ark
16:12 of the Covenant thinking the Ark would save us
16:15 from the wrath of the Philistines.
16:17 When the Philistines saw the Ark they too
16:20 gathered their man and they said fight like
16:23 you've never fought before. Fight, fight those Israelites
16:29 and defeat them and defeat them.
16:31 And you should have seen the Philistines
16:33 organize man by man. They got themselves
16:36 together to fight us and they fought us.
16:39 They fought like they never fought before.
16:41 I have seen them fight like that before.
16:44 To the South, our men began to fall.
16:47 What, what about Josiah, what about
16:49 Josiah okay. Where is he? Josiah and Michael
16:53 have both died. Oh! My brother.
17:00 So was my brother Mele Kai, all dead.
17:04 Twenty thousand men have died in this battle.
17:08 Why is the Ark forsaken us why?
17:11 That's the point. We thought the Ark would
17:16 save us. We have the Ark in front of us
17:17 thinking the Ark would save us, but the Ark,
17:18 the Ark, Joanna has no power. The power of the
17:22 Ark comes from God. There is no power in the
17:25 Ark made by mans hand of wood and of
17:28 stone and of jewels. There is no power in the Ark.
17:31 Right now, I thought that it would protect us.
17:35 I don't understand what you are talking about.
17:38 The Ark is only something made for man.
17:41 I am telling you it is not something that can save
17:46 us from the Philistines. Thirty thousand of our
17:49 men have died and is all because we thought the
17:52 Ark would save us. The Ark did not save us.
17:54 We have to remember that salvation of God's
17:59 people or anybody doesn't come from
18:01 something made by man hands. But, salvation comes
18:05 from God and God alone and we must put
18:09 our trust in God to save us from all the matter of
18:12 peril and evil, from armies and from men,
18:14 who hate God's people. I think about the Ark of
18:18 the Covenant. We have to remember that we
18:20 have God to watch over and protect us.
18:24 Thirty thousand men are dead. Oh! No.
18:28 Oh! No. Thirty thousand of God's people we thought,
18:33 we thought the Ark was so powerful.
18:36 You should have seen God's people standing
18:37 there celebrating and cheering for the Ark.
18:40 Bring on the Ark, let it come, let the Ark lead
18:42 us to victory, let this scene made by man kindness
18:46 to victory, but it had no power.
18:49 Oh! The more soldiers from the battlefield.
18:51 More soldiers are coming. There's one solider. My son.
18:55 Somebody help him, please. People of God
18:58 remember there is no power in the Ark.
19:02 Only power, the only power that we have is
19:05 the power given by God. We have to remember that.
19:08 When will our people learn this lesson that
19:11 power comes from God. Oh! God help us please.
19:15 That's from God alone. Not from anything
19:17 made by man's hands. And please God.
19:23 I hope God's people will remember this lesson.
19:26 Never could I trust the man or by anything
19:29 made in man's hand. But, power comes from
19:32 God, not by the sword, not by the Ark,
19:37 but power comes from God and God alone.
19:39 Listen people, power comes from God alone
19:44 not from things made by man's hands.
19:48 Let's remember this lesson and not lose one
19:52 more man thinking that man only thing made by
19:56 his hands can save us. Oh! God help us please.
20:02 God help us. Forgive us. Forgive us.
21:20 Hi, Boys and Girls. It's time for Miss Brenda's
21:22 "Book of the Day." And today book is called
21:26 Hiking with Jesus by Jim Feldbush and it's
21:28 the wonderful devotional book.
21:30 And to use for your worship every morning
21:33 and spend time with God. Today, we have two
21:36 wonderful guests. I want you to meet.
21:38 Swany and her brother Joshua. Welcome to the
21:40 program. And Swany you have something
21:43 strange looking in your hand. What is this?
21:45 It's a bank. It's a bank and what do
21:47 you do with that bank. Well, when we go to
21:49 town and we get cash back from when we buy something.
21:53 So, when you, when you pay something your
21:55 mom pays money for something she is
21:57 shopping you get change back.
21:58 And what do you and what do you do with that change?
22:00 We bring it to Sabbath school and put it in this
22:04 bank and we send it to an orphan in Kenya, Africa.
22:10 Woh! Can you show us how the bank works?
22:12 She brought some coins with her. Let's see how
22:14 this bank works. And it just separates all those out.
22:19 That's pretty nifty and so all the change that,
22:22 that your mom and your dad given they shopped
22:24 it gets to go for Jesus, right, and so you are
22:27 excited to go shopping with mom and dad,
22:29 aren't you? And I understand you also had
22:30 a birthday. You know that Yeah. There is something
22:33 that happened? It was my 7th Birthday
22:35 and we needed seven more dollars to pay for
22:40 that month. So I decided to give it to
22:43 them and it was enough to...
22:46 To cover it. Yeah. And so that was somebody
22:48 had given you seven dollars and you decided
22:50 to give that money for Jesus and it was the
22:53 right amount of money. Isn't God good?
