The things your parents 00:00:40.03\00:00:43.30 tell you not to do are usually things 00:00:43.33\00:00:45.06 that might hurt you or someone else. 00:00:45.09\00:00:46.71 So what happened if you would have 00:00:46.74\00:00:48.57 and did were you told not to do? 00:00:48.60\00:00:49.95 Well probably you got in trouble and maybe you 00:00:49.98\00:00:53.33 even got hurt or maybe wish that you had 00:00:53.36\00:00:55.79 listen to your parents in the first place. 00:00:55.82\00:00:58.01 Let's stay you went around throwing rocks 00:00:58.04\00:00:59.68 through peoples windows, would your parents 00:00:59.71\00:01:01.54 let you keep on doing that. I hope not, 00:01:01.57\00:01:04.24 they would do whatever they had to do to stop you 00:01:04.27\00:01:07.14 and that wouldn't make them mean and unfair with it, 00:01:07.17\00:01:10.24 no boys and girls our Bible story today 00:01:10.27\00:01:13.36 tells us that sometimes God has to do 00:01:13.39\00:01:15.72 whatever it takes to stop us 00:01:15.75\00:01:17.58 from doing things that are wrong. 00:01:17.61\00:01:19.19 You won't wanna miss this one, 00:01:19.22\00:01:21.43 but first a Max let's get ready for Nature Time. 00:01:21.46\00:01:26.56 Let's go Max. 00:01:26.59\00:01:27.56 Hi boys and girls. Welcome to Nature Time, 00:01:35.52\00:01:38.43 isn't this beautiful, you know 00:01:38.46\00:01:40.96 we're here in western Montana, 00:01:40.99\00:01:42.46 we're in Glacier National Park 00:01:42.49\00:01:44.69 and we're here by this beautiful stream. 00:01:44.72\00:01:46.29 I really wanna talk to you just a little bit about 00:01:46.32\00:01:48.48 water, about waterfalls, about these beautiful rivers. 00:01:48.51\00:01:52.21 You know since God created the world, 00:01:52.24\00:01:53.84 people have somehow been drawn to flowing water, 00:01:53.87\00:01:57.73 you know they used rivers for transportation. 00:01:57.76\00:02:01.79 We used rivers by putting big grinding wheels 00:02:01.82\00:02:05.87 in them that grind our corn in fact even today. 00:02:05.90\00:02:08.69 They dam up rivers, put big dams on them 00:02:08.72\00:02:10.84 and make electricity by the water flowing 00:02:10.87\00:02:13.92 through these big dams. Lot's of things 00:02:13.95\00:02:16.26 that they do here in Glacier national park though. 00:02:16.29\00:02:18.94 There is no dams, there is no generators, 00:02:18.97\00:02:22.30 there is no grinding wheels, just beautiful, 00:02:22.33\00:02:25.32 beautiful streams and rivers with all these beautiful 00:02:25.35\00:02:28.43 rocks, they are full of beautiful fish 00:02:28.46\00:02:30.87 it's incredible. I love it, 00:02:30.90\00:02:32.55 I love to come here, just to meditate, 00:02:32.58\00:02:34.65 just to think, just to observe nature. 00:02:34.68\00:02:37.20 Did you know that the tallest waterfall in the world 00:02:37.23\00:02:41.90 is in a country called Venezuela? 00:02:41.93\00:02:44.49 It's over 3200 feet straight down all the way. 00:02:44.52\00:02:49.41 Wouldn't that be exciting to see? I wish that 00:02:49.44\00:02:52.41 I was here in Glacier national park, 00:02:52.44\00:02:54.45 but you know, Glacier National Park has 00:02:54.48\00:02:56.31 some beautiful waterfalls. There is Bird Woman Falls. 00:02:56.34\00:02:58.99 There is Lunch Falls. There is several different 00:02:59.02\00:03:02.38 beautiful waterfalls. Some of them were cascading, 00:03:02.41\00:03:04.58 sort of like the one you see behind me here. 00:03:04.61\00:03:06.66 Where it bounces along on rocks, 00:03:06.69\00:03:08.32 sometimes waterfalls are what they call 00:03:08.35\00:03:10.41 a horsetail waterfall, that's where it flows kinda 00:03:10.44\00:03:12.94 side ways on the side of the mountain dropping, 00:03:12.97\00:03:15.84 dropping, dropping like a horse's tail 00:03:15.87\00:03:17.95 as the wind sort of blows it out. 00:03:17.98\00:03:19.60 Sometimes there are plunge waterfalls, 00:03:19.63\00:03:22.78 now plunge waterfall is my favorite, 00:03:22.81\00:03:24.70 because it flows off from a rock ridge above, 00:03:24.73\00:03:27.23 drops down into in an emerald pool 00:03:27.26\00:03:29.86 and sometimes if you're really lucky. 00:03:29.89\00:03:32.23 You can climb up on those rocks 00:03:32.26\00:03:33.80 and you can stand up there and see the beautiful creation 00:03:33.83\00:03:36.77 around you and then. You can jump off 00:03:36.80\00:03:39.72 into that great cold poll, well at least it's cold 00:03:39.75\00:03:43.06 here in Montana. This water never gets very warm, 00:03:43.09\00:03:45.77 that's bad for swimming. But it's really good for the 00:03:45.80\00:03:49.38 fish and the little creatures that live in this water. 00:03:49.41\00:03:52.11 They are specially created and designed 00:03:52.14\00:03:55.11 for cold water and God made them that way, 00:03:55.14\00:03:58.41 because he knew, that up here in these high mountains 00:03:58.44\00:04:01.06 with all the snow and these Glaciers this water would 00:04:01.09\00:04:03.87 be cold and they would need to be able to tolerate that. 00:04:03.90\00:04:06.90 There is sort of a green hue in the water 00:04:06.93\00:04:12.31 that you see sometimes here in Glacier National Park, 00:04:12.34\00:04:14.55 that green hue is called glacial silt 00:04:14.58\00:04:17.58 and it's comes from the rocks 00:04:17.61\00:04:20.17 that are being ground underneath those 00:04:20.20\00:04:22.26 big masses of ice. 00:04:22.29\00:04:23.60 And there is kind of a green tone to those stones, 00:04:23.63\00:04:26.78 and it gets into that water some scientists say that 00:04:26.81\00:04:31.67 also there is a type of allergy, they gets into that water 00:04:32.00\00:04:34.69 and it creates a green hue and it's very, very beautiful. 00:04:34.72\00:04:38.47 As you can see boys and girls, I love water, 00:04:39.05\00:04:41.34 I love waterfalls. You know if you've a waterfall 00:04:41.37\00:04:44.59 in your area and you've got a picture of it or better yet. 00:04:44.62\00:04:48.18 If you've got a picture of you by your favorite waterfalls, 00:04:48.21\00:04:51.42 why don't you send it to a 3ABN attention Ranger Rod, 00:04:51.45\00:04:55.04 I've love to see it, until next time, 00:04:55.07\00:04:57.89 this is Ranger Rod saying let's all enjoy, 00:04:57.92\00:05:00.89 God's great outdoors. 00:05:00.92\00:05:02.45 Behold what manner of love The Father has given on to us 00:05:18.83\00:05:25.70 Behold what manner of love The Father has given on to us 00:05:25.73\00:05:33.19 That we should be called the Sons of God 00:05:33.22\00:05:40.09 That we should be called the Sons of God 00:05:40.12\00:05:47.21 Behold what manner of love The Father has given on to us 00:05:47.24\00:05:54.24 Behold what manner of love The Father has given on to us 00:05:54.27\00:06:01.59 Behold what manner of love The Father has given on to us 00:06:01.62\00:06:09.26 That we should be called the Sons of God 00:06:09.29\00:06:15.63 Behold what manner of love The Father has given on to us 00:06:15.66\00:06:22.43 Behold what manner of love The Father has given on to us 00:06:22.46\00:06:29.29 That we should be called the Sons of God 00:06:29.32\00:06:36.05 That we should be called the Sons of God 00:06:36.08\00:06:44.69 Welcome to Learning Time, I am glad that you join us 00:06:56.81\00:07:01.30 us today. Looks like a Piano doesn't it, 00:08:14.84\00:08:17.98 looks like the back of the Piano, you can see it. 00:08:18.01\00:08:19.73 Then we can see the front of the Piano. 00:08:19.76\00:08:21.00 Now let me ask you a question. 00:08:21.03\00:08:22.77 Is Piano a string instrument 00:08:22.80\00:08:24.95 or is it a percussion instrument, 00:08:24.98\00:08:27.06 what do you think? String. 00:08:27.09\00:08:28.68 String instrument, how many think Pianos are string 00:08:28.71\00:08:30.81 instruments? Okay. 00:08:30.84\00:08:32.22 How many of you think that, that might be 00:08:32.25\00:08:33.62 a percussion instrument? 00:08:33.65\00:08:34.62 Raise your hand, well you're right. 00:08:34.63\00:08:36.44 Everybody is right, because you know what 00:08:36.47\00:08:38.58 we hit it don't we? Do we hit a drum? 00:08:38.61\00:08:40.84 Yes. Drums are precussion instrument; 00:08:40.87\00:08:42.69 well something has to hit the Piano doesn't it? 00:08:42.72\00:08:45.67 Well you know Pianos were invented around 1700 00:08:45.70\00:08:49.60 so and very good musical instrument 00:08:49.63\00:08:52.13 and I've got something right here. 00:08:52.16\00:08:53.37 What does that remind you of right here? 00:08:53.40\00:08:54.54 Can you check that out, what are those? 00:08:54.57\00:08:56.13 Keys. What are those? Keys. 00:08:56.16\00:08:57.46 What are those? keys, They are keys, that's right. 00:08:57.49\00:09:00.95 You see those, are there keys, will that unlock something? 00:09:00.98\00:09:04.63 No. No but they are what kind of keys? 00:09:04.66\00:09:06.92 Piano keys. They're Piano keys and that's what we do. 00:09:06.95\00:09:10.35 Because when we push down our Piano key, 00:09:10.38\00:09:12.93 it does something doesn't it, 00:09:12.96\00:09:14.58 something strikes the what? 00:09:14.61\00:09:16.62 String. The string that's right, we've got to turn 00:09:16.65\00:09:18.81 the strings. Don't we over there? 00:09:18.84\00:09:19.85 Sure, I've got a black key 00:09:19.88\00:09:22.76 and I've got a white key right here. 00:09:22.79\00:09:24.86 Now you know these white key is kind a interesting 00:09:24.89\00:09:27.10 coz a long time ago, they used to use 00:09:27.13\00:09:29.17 something really kind and special for those, 00:09:29.20\00:09:31.43 why don't you hold that. 00:09:31.46\00:09:32.54 These were white keys; these were taken off 00:09:32.57\00:09:34.81 of white keys. You wanna hold that Noah 00:09:34.84\00:09:36.52 and this one right here, anybody know 00:09:36.55\00:09:38.68 what kind of material that was made from. 00:09:38.71\00:09:40.73 Ivory. That's right ivory, have you heard about ivory. 00:09:40.76\00:09:43.95 Yes. Well, they don't use ivory today usally, 00:09:43.98\00:09:47.10 because that's not too good on the animals isn't it. 00:09:47.13\00:09:49.10 Anyway let's kinda move over here, 00:09:49.13\00:09:50.58 why don't you move over here. Okay I'm gonna hand you 00:09:50.61\00:09:53.53 something interesting, because in order for us to 00:09:53.56\00:09:55.19 have a sound we have to have something to strike 00:09:55.22\00:09:57.81 to strike the strings, so why don't you hang on that. 00:09:57.84\00:09:59.53 That's a striker, here is a striker for you, 00:09:59.56\00:10:01.44 now don't hit him okay. 00:10:01.47\00:10:03.11 There is a striker and that has that 00:10:03.14\00:10:04.89 striker has to hit the key. Just like I can, 00:10:04.92\00:10:07.15 come over here with my striker 00:10:07.18\00:10:09.41 and I can hit a key or actually its string isn't it. 00:10:09.44\00:10:12.35 These would be a white key and it would hit it, 00:10:12.38\00:10:15.67 can you hear that? Yeah. 00:10:15.70\00:10:18.65 Cool and you see strings, the strings are very, very 00:10:18.68\00:10:21.40 long down here, and the longest string vibrates 00:10:21.43\00:10:24.11 very slowly and it makes what kind of sound. 00:10:24.14\00:10:27.05 A low. A very low frequency sound 00:10:27.08\00:10:30.20 and so I can hit that one here, 00:10:30.23\00:10:31.90 that's a low frequency sound. As I go up 00:10:31.93\00:10:35.00 the strings get a shorter and what happens to the sound. 00:10:35.03\00:10:38.15 Gets higher. That's right Georgia wont you, 00:10:38.18\00:10:40.82 can you bend over here and go down here 00:10:40.85\00:10:43.73 and hit one and hit another one and go all the way across. 00:10:43.76\00:10:47.95 Can you do that? Listen, 00:10:47.98\00:10:49.18 now keep going yeah. What's happening is the frequency 00:10:56.46\00:10:59.48 getting higher. Yes. 00:10:59.51\00:11:00.86 Because the strings are getting shorter, 00:11:00.89\00:11:02.56 wow, isn't that interesting. So every time you 00:11:05.57\00:11:07.93 press on Piano keys a little striker like 00:11:07.96\00:11:11.08 those are hitting the strings. 00:11:11.11\00:11:13.15 That is cool, but you know what happens 00:11:13.18\00:11:14.72 when we hit the string, it vibrates right. 00:11:14.75\00:11:17.37 That what makes the sound and in order for us to 00:11:17.40\00:11:20.81 get rid of that vibration then you have something else. 00:11:20.84\00:11:23.52 Grab a hold of that right here 00:11:23.55\00:11:24.95 and that dampens the sound, it takes the vibration 00:11:24.98\00:11:28.91 right out of the string and that's why 00:11:28.94\00:11:32.31 we need dampers, otherwise we would have 00:11:32.34\00:11:34.82 all of these strings vibrating at the same time 00:11:34.85\00:11:37.80 and that would be interesting. 00:11:37.83\00:11:39.00 It would sound like kind of like that, that's interesting. 00:11:39.03\00:11:42.30 But to dampen them, the dampers just go 00:11:42.33\00:11:44.96 right on the strings and they stop the vibration. 00:11:44.99\00:11:47.70 Hey that's interesting, shall we try that. 00:11:47.73\00:11:49.54 Take your damper Georgia and I am gonna hit 00:11:49.57\00:11:52.33 this string right there and then you put your, 00:11:52.36\00:11:54.73 yours right on top of it. Hold it there, 00:11:54.76\00:11:57.44 hold it right on there. Okay did I hit the wrong one, okay. 00:11:57.47\00:12:01.76 There we go, let's try another one okay. 00:12:01.79\00:12:03.26 I think I'll try this one. First of all we've to stop 00:12:03.29\00:12:05.77 the vibration and hit. Wow and its stops the vibration, 00:12:05.80\00:12:11.88 but all the other strings are vibrating as well aren't they. 00:12:11.91\00:12:14.47 You know every time I hit one, 00:12:14.50\00:12:16.90 a lot of those strings are vibrating. 00:12:16.93\00:12:19.04 So we need lots of them in order to dampen the sound, 00:12:19.07\00:12:23.09 otherwise we can't here the sound and it just kinda mixes 00:12:23.12\00:12:26.09 sounds together. Now max is having a problem, 00:12:26.12\00:12:29.72 because you know what animals can hear frequencies 00:12:29.75\00:12:31.99 that you and I can't hear. Did you know that? 00:12:32.02\00:12:33.67 Yeah, they can hear very low frequencies 00:12:33.70\00:12:35.45 and they can hear very high frequencies 00:12:35.48\00:12:37.51 and so this probably bothers Max's ears 00:12:37.54\00:12:39.96 a little bit interesting isn't it? 00:12:39.99\00:12:41.52 Well, remember that Pianos are 00:12:41.55\00:12:44.37 both string instrument and a percussion instrument 00:12:44.40\00:12:47.14 all in one. And this one is a what we called a spinet Piano 00:12:47.17\00:12:50.40 and if couple of my friends actually helped me to, 00:12:50.43\00:12:52.84 to put this together, to show you. 00:12:52.87\00:12:54.82 That's kind a cool isn't it. Yeah, I love friends 00:12:54.85\00:12:57.38 that can help us do that. Remember musical instruments 00:12:57.41\00:13:00.10 are really fun, but you've to practice don't you? 00:13:00.13\00:13:02.70 Yeah and we can play beautiful music 00:13:02.73\00:13:04.76 and I think God likes music did God likes music? 00:13:04.79\00:13:07.44 Yeah. Oh! I think so to, I'm sure that the angel 00:13:07.47\00:13:09.86 is saying and we've all kinds of angelic music 00:13:09.89\00:13:12.66 and you can make music and praise to God. 00:13:12.69\00:13:15.71 Because that's praising God sometimes, 00:13:15.74\00:13:17.67 when we do that in music, don't we? 00:13:17.70\00:13:19.30 Well remember boys and girls, 00:13:19.33\00:13:21.22 every time we learn more about science, 00:13:21.25\00:13:23.13 we learn more about our creator God. 00:13:23.16\00:13:26.49 Father, father I am scared. 00:13:40.56\00:13:42.59 Its okay honey, father is here. 00:13:42.62\00:13:45.10 Its okay, it's okay. Was that wicked man? 00:13:45.19\00:13:48.78 Yes, a very wicked, wicked man. 00:13:48.81\00:13:50.77 Is God gonna punish that man. Well, if he continues 00:13:50.80\00:13:53.55 being wicked, God will punish him. 00:13:53.58\00:13:55.30 But doesn't God love sinners. Yes, God love sinners 00:13:55.33\00:13:58.48 and wishes them not to be wicked. 00:13:58.51\00:14:00.49 Have I ever told you the story of Sodom and Gomorrah? 00:14:00.52\00:14:03.04 No. Okay. Why don't you sit down sweet heart 00:14:03.07\00:14:05.33 and let me tell you the story. 00:14:05.36\00:14:06.57 Now there was a man by the name of Abraham. 00:14:07.49\00:14:09.64 He was a very, very good man. A man that loved God 00:14:09.67\00:14:13.01 and feared him and he always wanted to do what was right. 00:14:13.04\00:14:16.01 Now he used to live close to two cities 00:14:16.04\00:14:19.15 called Sodom and Gomorrah, now these two cities 00:14:19.18\00:14:22.88 in them lived very, very wicked people. 00:14:22.91\00:14:26.02 Were they very rich cities? 00:14:26.05\00:14:29.26 Well they were beautiful cities 00:14:29.29\00:14:31.71 and they had a lot of people coming and going there, 00:14:31.76\00:14:34.45 but like I said they were very, very wicked, 00:14:34.48\00:14:37.44 wicked cities and Abraham loved the people in the city, 00:14:37.47\00:14:42.10 just like God loves sinners and Abraham 00:14:42.13\00:14:45.47 would pray every day for the people that lived 00:14:45.50\00:14:48.66 in those two cities. You know, he had a nephew by the name 00:14:48.69\00:14:52.93 of "Lot," who lived near one of those two cities 00:14:52.96\00:14:56.21 and he would pray every day. One day God spoke to Abraham 00:14:56.24\00:15:00.92 and told him, that he was going to destroy 00:15:00.95\00:15:03.08 those two cities. Because they were too wicked. 00:15:03.11\00:15:05.88 How awful? It was awful, very awful 00:15:05.91\00:15:08.77 and that hurt Abraham's heart, 00:15:08.80\00:15:10.65 so Abraham decided to intercede for those 00:15:10.68\00:15:14.00 two cities. He started to ask God, 00:15:14.03\00:15:16.06 God please, if you found fifty people that weren't wicked 00:15:16.09\00:15:20.92 in the city would you save the cities and God answered yes. 00:15:20.95\00:15:25.72 Yes he would, again Abraham went before the Lord 00:15:25.75\00:15:29.77 and asked him again, what if you found forty people 00:15:29.80\00:15:33.29 that weren't wicked in that those two cities. 00:15:33.32\00:15:36.19 Would you save the cities and God once again 00:15:36.22\00:15:39.63 replied yes I would. You see God loves people, 00:15:39.66\00:15:43.25 he loves them even if they are wicked. 00:15:43.28\00:15:45.36 But he wishes for them not to perish. 00:15:45.39\00:15:47.62 And, and so Abraham continued praying on and on father, 00:15:47.65\00:15:52.50 if you found at least twenty people, that weren't wicked 00:15:52.53\00:15:56.90 in the city would you spare the cities 00:15:56.93\00:16:00.32 and God again answered Abraham and said. 00:16:00.35\00:16:03.44 Yes Abraham I would spare the cities, 00:16:03.47\00:16:06.53 if there were at least twenty people 00:16:06.56\00:16:09.10 there that were not wicked. So that means God 00:16:09.13\00:16:12.94 really loves people. Really does love people, 00:16:12.97\00:16:15.92 yes he does. Even the wicked people, 00:16:15.95\00:16:18.10 if the wicked people would turn away from being wicked 00:16:18.13\00:16:20.98 would seek God and ask him, to take that wickedness 00:16:21.01\00:16:24.96 away from them. God would save them 00:16:24.99\00:16:27.80 and this what God wants. Now you know what 00:16:27.83\00:16:30.42 happened there, Abraham continued to pray 00:16:30.45\00:16:33.68 and said God, what if you found five people 00:16:33.71\00:16:37.32 that were not wicked in those cities, 00:16:37.35\00:16:40.52 would you saved the cities. And God said yes, 00:16:40.55\00:16:44.11 Abraham yes I would. Unfortunately my child, 00:16:44.14\00:16:49.30 when God spoke with Abraham. There were not five people 00:16:49.33\00:16:55.28 that were not wicked in the city. 00:16:55.31\00:16:58.89 Almost the entire cities, both Sodom and Gomorrah 00:16:58.92\00:17:02.76 were so wicked there might have been maybe one, 00:17:02.79\00:17:05.46 two, three or maybe even four people. 00:17:05.49\00:17:08.18 But there were not five, so God told Abraham 00:17:08.21\00:17:11.80 that he was going to destroy the cities 00:17:11.83\00:17:13.87 and Abraham asked and pleaded God 00:17:13.90\00:17:16.40 to help his nephew and God sent two angels 00:17:16.43\00:17:21.19 to that city to speak to Lot and his family, 00:17:21.22\00:17:25.00 so that they can be taken out of the city 00:17:25.03\00:17:27.40 before the city would be destroyed. 00:17:27.43\00:17:29.97 That must have been good. It was great, 00:17:30.00\00:17:32.49 but you know when the angels came to the door 00:17:32.52\00:17:35.19 of Lot and spoke to him there. The wicked people, 00:17:35.22\00:17:39.25 the wicked men of the city saw those two angels 00:17:39.28\00:17:42.14 and came to Lot and knocked on his door and said, 00:17:42.17\00:17:46.17 open your door Lot, open your door, 00:17:46.20\00:17:48.82 because we want to meet those two men. 00:17:48.85\00:17:51.55 And we want to do wicked things to them 00:17:51.58\00:17:54.28 and Lot said no, no don't do this. 00:17:54.31\00:17:57.88 Don't be wicked, yet they insisted and insisted. 00:17:57.91\00:18:00.93 So much, so that they were almost going to 00:18:00.96\00:18:04.77 break the door down. That must have been horrible. 00:18:04.80\00:18:09.05 It was, it was very frightening too 00:18:09.08\00:18:10.82 and because of what they were doing 00:18:10.85\00:18:13.88 and all the wicked and the violence that they were 00:18:13.91\00:18:15.86 showing towards Lot and his family 00:18:15.89\00:18:18.86 the two angels had to shine brightly, 00:18:18.89\00:18:21.67 so the rest of the people would go blind. 00:18:21.70\00:18:23.80 And that gave an opportunity for Lot 00:18:23.83\00:18:26.30 and his family to walk out. And they fled towards 00:18:26.33\00:18:29.97 the mountains, now the angels had told Lot 00:18:30.00\00:18:33.57 and his family not to look back, 00:18:33.60\00:18:36.12 once they left the cities. Because God was going to 00:18:36.15\00:18:39.96 rain fire on them to destroy them 00:18:39.99\00:18:42.79 and with Lot went his wife and his two daughters. 00:18:42.82\00:18:48.41 Now how many people were there? 00:18:48.44\00:18:50.41 There were Lot, that's one, his wife 00:18:50.44\00:18:53.53 two and his two daughters. How many people were that? 00:18:53.56\00:18:57.22 Four. Only four people that weren't wicked, 00:18:57.25\00:19:00.94 in those two big cities. Now you. 00:19:00.97\00:19:04.31 That's awful sad. It was awful, 00:19:04.34\00:19:05.95 how do you think God's heart was, when he saw that. 00:19:05.98\00:19:08.97 Very sad. It was very sad, now even, 00:19:09.00\00:19:12.29 even sadder was the fact that when they left the city 00:19:12.32\00:19:16.65 and they continued running towards the mountains, 00:19:16.68\00:19:18.91 they were told to flee and continue to run 00:19:18.94\00:19:21.17 and not to stop or look back no matter 00:19:21.20\00:19:24.01 what, do you know what happened? 00:19:24.04\00:19:26.05 What? While they were running in fleeing the city, 00:19:26.08\00:19:29.63 Lot's wife looked back. Haah. 00:19:29.66\00:19:33.13 Yes, she did look back. What happened to her? 00:19:33.16\00:19:37.01 She unsteadily turned into a statue of salt 00:19:37.04\00:19:41.40 and unfortunately she was lost forever. 00:19:41.43\00:19:44.86 Because she didn't obey, what God had told to her? 00:19:44.89\00:19:49.20 Lot must have been very sad. Oh! Yes 00:19:49.23\00:19:52.33 when they finally got to the mountain, 00:19:52.36\00:19:54.36 to the mountain side Lot and his two daughters. 00:19:54.39\00:19:57.55 They were very sad, very devastated 00:19:57.58\00:19:59.74 because they noticed that his wife 00:19:59.77\00:20:02.44 wasn't there, their mother wasn't there. 00:20:02.47\00:20:04.40 You know, and that shall teach us something. 00:20:04.43\00:20:06.80 You should show us how much God loves us. 00:20:06.83\00:20:09.68 Doesn't want us to die or perish 00:20:09.71\00:20:12.44 he wants to be righteous. He wants us to obey. 00:20:12.47\00:20:16.14 He doesn't want us to continue being wicked. 00:20:16.17\00:20:18.82 Because that way we will perish. 00:20:18.85\00:20:20.83 I know everyone would be wicked like Sodom. 00:20:20.86\00:20:25.50 I understand and I know, I know for in fact, 00:20:25.94\00:20:28.68 God wants us to be good and obey. 00:20:28.71\00:20:31.51 And you know you are going to be a very good girl. 00:20:31.54\00:20:34.51 Honey I think it's time for us to go and have some supper. 00:20:34.54\00:20:38.23 So why don't we come along. Okay. 00:20:38.26\00:20:40.53 Hi, boys and girls, it's time for Miss Brenda's 00:21:24.01\00:21:26.42 book of the day. 00:21:26.45\00:21:28.41 And today's book is called Prince of Dreams 00:21:29.91\00:21:33.08 by Bradley Booth. And this is a wonderful book 00:21:33.11\00:21:36.33 about the story in the Bible about Daniel and 00:21:36.36\00:21:39.08 his three friends, and remember when they were 00:21:39.11\00:21:41.47 offered all kinds of unclean food. 00:21:41.50\00:21:43.52 Well, you will here the exciting story told as only 00:21:43.55\00:21:47.98 Bradley Booth can tell it in friends of dreams. 00:21:48.01\00:21:51.08 Well, today we have two girls with us today 00:21:51.11\00:21:55.03 that love to share Jesus everywhere they go. 00:21:55.06\00:21:57.91 And I'ld like to introduce them to you right now. 00:21:57.94\00:22:00.22 We would like to meet Heather and also Cathy. 00:22:00.25\00:22:03.27 And Cathy you both of you are from Tennessee, 00:22:03.30\00:22:05.45 and are you friends? You know each other? 00:22:05.48\00:22:07.57 Yes. Alright. Tell me Heather, first of all 00:22:07.60\00:22:10.23 what it is that you do to share Jesus? 00:22:10.26\00:22:12.24 Well, this Halloween instead of asking for candy 00:22:12.27\00:22:15.76 we went out and ask for camp foods 00:22:15.79\00:22:17.95 for the needy and non-perishable items. 00:22:17.98\00:22:20.13 Okay. And so when, you mean, 00:22:20.16\00:22:22.55 when everyone else is out trick-or-treating 00:22:22.58\00:22:24.27 and wanting candy and things like that and all dressed up 00:22:24.30\00:22:26.70 in their stuff you are going door to door 00:22:26.73\00:22:28.58 and you are knocking on the door, and what, give an idea 00:22:28.61\00:22:31.42 what was that like? If you knocked on 00:22:31.45\00:22:33.82 my door what would say to me? I would say, 00:22:33.85\00:22:36.73 we are not trick-or-treating this year. 00:22:36.76\00:22:38.31 We were asking for camp foods or non-perishable items 00:22:38.34\00:22:41.71 for the needy. And what would most, 00:22:41.74\00:22:43.34 did anybody turn you down? There was one guy that did, 00:22:43.37\00:22:47.17 but he was struggling a little bit. 00:22:47.20\00:22:51.20 He was having a hard time financially himself, right. 00:22:51.31\00:22:53.58 Yeah. May be you could have remembered where 00:22:53.61\00:22:55.03 he lived and take him something. 00:22:55.06\00:22:56.66 Wouldn't that be nice to do? Yeah. 00:22:56.69\00:22:58.22 And but most people were pretty 00:22:58.25\00:23:00.29 good about getting some out of the pantry. 00:23:00.32\00:23:02.41 What some of the most unusual stuff 00:23:02.44\00:23:03.65 that they shared with you. Did you have with utmost 00:23:03.68\00:23:06.86 like macaroni or you know, potatoes or what, 00:23:06.89\00:23:09.64 potatoes will be perishable. Yeah. So, what else would they 00:23:09.67\00:23:12.25 give you? Can goods. Can goods and all other kinds 00:23:12.28\00:23:16.95 Stuff like that. Vegetables, and vegetables 00:23:19.18\00:23:20.15 and you both did the same things 00:23:20.16\00:23:21.13 or did you do something different? 00:23:21.14\00:23:22.11 We did together. You did together. 00:23:22.12\00:23:23.09 So what was tell me your experiences Cathy. 00:23:23.10\00:23:25.46 Well, I experienced that a lots of people 00:23:25.49\00:23:30.41 thought it was a good idea, and that, 00:23:30.44\00:23:33.53 we, that we should do lots of other good stuff. 00:23:33.56\00:23:38.62 So now after you collected all this 00:23:39.74\00:23:41.83 did you help out with passing it out 00:23:41.86\00:23:45.52 to people they needed the food? 00:23:45.55\00:23:46.73 We passed out one of them few days ago 00:23:46.76\00:23:49.78 and she was so surprised and she started, 00:23:49.81\00:23:53.34 we could see tears coming off her eyes. 00:23:53.37\00:23:55.26 Oh! And so she really needed the food. 00:23:55.29\00:23:58.13 Yeah. What an awesome thing to do, 00:23:58.16\00:24:00.80 boys and girls. Should be able to share Jesus 00:24:00.83\00:24:02.76 that way instead of think of yourself 00:24:02.79\00:24:04.35 and go and ask for all things you need. 00:24:04.38\00:24:05.98 Wouldn't you know, isn't something that I, 00:24:06.01\00:24:07.68 any part of any way and I don't recommend 00:24:07.71\00:24:09.98 but this is where you're taking that opportunity 00:24:10.01\00:24:12.42 to not knock on a door and witness for Jesus. 00:24:12.45\00:24:14.76 And that also is a big witness to them about how 00:24:14.79\00:24:17.43 you would do that. You know, how 00:24:17.46\00:24:19.44 most kids would probably, would think of themselves. 00:24:19.47\00:24:21.54 So I wanna thank you both so much. 00:24:21.57\00:24:23.68 Would you help me, we have got some letters to read. 00:24:23.71\00:24:25.90 Do you wanna help me? Sure. Okay. 00:24:25.93\00:24:27.56 let's see what we've got here. 00:24:27.59\00:24:28.86 Grab a few out of piles hard to know 00:24:28.89\00:24:31.60 which one to read. This one is, Oh! I have a picture 00:24:31.63\00:24:35.42 of her. Let's show a picture of her and this is a picture 00:24:35.45\00:24:38.18 of her with her grandmother, and I think her 00:24:38.21\00:24:41.69 great grandma. It says, dear Miss Brenda. 00:24:41.72\00:24:44.29 My name is Ellena and I am six years old. 00:24:44.32\00:24:46.25 I love watching your show and it has taught me 00:24:46.28\00:24:49.01 so much about Jesus. My great grandma 00:24:57.99\00:25:00.06 lives in Indiana, and I live in Florida. 00:25:00.09\00:25:02.09 And she has been very sick and she lost both of her legs. 00:25:02.12\00:25:05.20 So I call her and I sing songs about Jesus 00:25:05.23\00:25:07.97 to her and I quote her scriptures 00:25:08.00\00:25:09.85 that I have memorized. And her and I laugh to get them. 00:25:09.88\00:25:13.05 We also pray together. And I love her very much. 00:25:13.08\00:25:15.58 And so her name is Ellena from Florida.
