It's almost time for Kids Time, we're gonna be late. 00:00:01.98\00:00:04.20 It's time to share there's a world out there 00:00:04.23\00:00:07.12 looking for a friend like Jesus, 00:00:07.27\00:00:10.85 it's time to share there's a world out there. 00:00:10.88\00:00:15.07 Let's tell them that He loves us so. 00:00:15.46\00:00:18.17 Let's tell them that He loves us so. 00:00:18.99\00:00:21.99 Kids Time, Kids Time, Kids Time. 00:00:23.16\00:00:28.47 Hi boys and girls, I just heard an amazing story 00:00:30.58\00:00:33.46 and it's about a man who went to prison 00:00:33.49\00:00:35.65 for doing some bad things. 00:00:35.68\00:00:37.05 Not just for a little while, but for the 00:00:37.37\00:00:39.40 rest of his life, but here's the best part. 00:00:39.43\00:00:41.98 While in prison he learned about God and he was 00:00:42.18\00:00:45.11 so excited about what he heard that he gave his heart 00:00:45.14\00:00:47.77 to Jesus right there on the spot. 00:00:47.80\00:00:49.46 Now, as you can imagine it's no fun 00:00:49.66\00:00:51.61 being a prisoner, but this man started looking 00:00:51.64\00:00:54.30 for ways to bless others. You know sometimes 00:00:54.33\00:00:57.30 bad things happen in this sinful world 00:00:57.33\00:00:59.47 and sometimes we make mistakes and we get hurt. 00:00:59.69\00:01:02.33 Sometimes we get hurt because of the mistakes 00:01:02.59\00:01:04.94 others have made, but God promises to work 00:01:04.97\00:01:07.87 all things out for our good just like he did for that 00:01:07.90\00:01:11.16 man in prison. Our story today is about a little 00:01:11.19\00:01:14.29 girl who was taken captive and she hadn't even 00:01:14.32\00:01:16.83 done anything wrong, instead of being 00:01:16.86\00:01:19.07 mad or bitter, she found ways to bless others too. 00:01:19.10\00:01:22.49 We'll here her story very soon, 00:01:22.81\00:01:24.74 but first let's get ready for Nature Time. 00:01:24.90\00:01:28.48 Hi boys and girls, I'm Ranger Jim 00:01:34.59\00:01:36.17 and I'm Ranger Rod. Welcome to Nature Time. 00:01:36.20\00:01:39.07 We're glad you can be with us. 00:01:39.41\00:01:40.76 We're privileged to be out in windy Montana. 00:01:40.79\00:01:43.65 What are these creatures we have Rod? 00:01:43.68\00:01:45.40 Oh they are awesome creature, the Bison, 00:01:45.43\00:01:47.66 the American Bison. How big are these creatures? 00:01:47.69\00:01:50.23 They are very big, in fact the largest 00:01:50.26\00:01:52.01 of the American Bison are the Bulls, 00:01:52.04\00:01:53.62 that's the daddies and sometimes they can weigh 00:01:53.65\00:01:56.02 as much as 2500 pounds. How big is 2500 pounds? 00:01:56.05\00:01:59.92 Well, 2500 pounds is as big as your family car 00:01:59.95\00:02:02.73 with your family in it. Now, that is big. That's huge. 00:02:03.17\00:02:07.84 Now, you mean that these creatures that are 00:02:07.87\00:02:09.81 this big survived from what I see out here 00:02:09.84\00:02:12.17 just this grass and sagebrush and things 00:02:12.20\00:02:14.43 like that. They survive eating that? 00:02:14.46\00:02:15.89 Ranger Jim they do. Now, you know the American Bison 00:02:15.92\00:02:18.72 traveled across all of North America in the 00:02:19.04\00:02:22.31 Great Plains, in the Great Prairies and they fed 00:02:22.34\00:02:25.76 chiefly on grass yes. Just chiefly on, 00:02:25.79\00:02:28.07 now what's the population at this time of the 00:02:28.50\00:02:31.03 buffalo or we call it the Bison or the buffalo? 00:02:31.06\00:02:33.39 Bison or buffalo, they are the same? 00:02:33.42\00:02:35.12 Technically it's not a buffalo, technically it is 00:02:35.15\00:02:38.01 a Bison, but people know it interchangeably. 00:02:38.04\00:02:41.43 Buffalo's just fine and buffalo today. 00:02:41.62\00:02:43.99 The numbers of buffalo in Canada 00:02:44.18\00:02:46.02 and the United States numbers about 00:02:46.05\00:02:47.33 65000 animals, but at one time the American Bison 00:02:47.36\00:02:51.91 ranged from Florida to Central Canada 00:02:52.39\00:02:55.21 from New York to the slopes of the Rocky Mountains 00:02:55.24\00:02:59.68 in numbers up to 70 million some people estimate. 00:02:59.71\00:03:02.89 Up to 70 million and then some of those pictures 00:03:02.92\00:03:05.40 that we see of trains being stopped by great herds 00:03:05.43\00:03:08.58 of Bison and people standing with guns just 00:03:08.61\00:03:10.91 shooting them. Oh mercy, it's a sad thing. 00:03:10.94\00:03:13.33 It was a, it's very sad thing to know what the 00:03:13.36\00:03:16.07 American government did at one time to the Bison, 00:03:16.10\00:03:18.11 in fact from the numbers in the millions all the way 00:03:18.14\00:03:22.51 down in 1900 to less than a 1000 Bison 00:03:22.54\00:03:26.38 at the year 1900. Now, we've been watching some 00:03:26.41\00:03:29.14 of these and I see that they like to wallow 00:03:29.17\00:03:30.75 in the dirt and kick their feet up. 00:03:30.78\00:03:32.17 What are they doing this for? 00:03:32.20\00:03:33.17 Well, if you would notice when a Bison gets 00:03:33.39\00:03:36.36 into a dust wallow. What the Bison does is he lays 00:03:36.39\00:03:39.85 there and he rolls this dust on him, that's 00:03:39.88\00:03:41.30 to help keep the flies and the pesky mosquitoes 00:03:41.33\00:03:44.75 and the different insects off of his hide. 00:03:44.78\00:03:46.55 When he stands up unlike a horse that shakes 00:03:46.84\00:03:50.00 himself off or a dog will shake himself off 00:03:50.03\00:03:52.67 if he gets dirty. The Bison walks away very carefully. 00:03:52.70\00:03:55.67 He wants that dust to stay on him, 00:03:55.87\00:03:57.84 so that it'll protect him from the bugs. 00:03:57.87\00:03:59.66 Then if we get a rain shower, he's a mess? 00:03:59.69\00:04:01.79 He's a muddy mess Ranger Jim. 00:04:01.90\00:04:03.52 Now, tell me about this, I have heard that 00:04:03.55\00:04:05.89 the buffalo are able to swim lakes and rivers 00:04:05.92\00:04:08.48 and streams? Well, they do, in fact an amazing 00:04:08.51\00:04:10.76 thing the American Bison is very, very, 00:04:10.79\00:04:12.83 he floats almost like a bobber. 00:04:13.47\00:04:15.55 A big hairy bobber, when he's going across the river, 00:04:15.58\00:04:18.22 his head the large hump that you see there 00:04:18.25\00:04:20.85 on his back and even his tail is out of the water. 00:04:20.88\00:04:24.60 He's a great swimmer Ranger Jim. 00:04:24.63\00:04:26.16 An animal that weighs 2500 pounds, 00:04:26.62\00:04:29.00 that's right. Amazing and when were filling 00:04:29.35\00:04:32.56 this boys and girls, we have seen trails across 00:04:32.59\00:04:35.41 the sides of the hills that sometime in this hard, 00:04:35.44\00:04:38.52 round, even rocks that are a foot 18 inches deep, 00:04:38.55\00:04:42.73 because for 100s of years these Bison 00:04:42.99\00:04:46.75 have followed the same trail. We have one that 00:04:46.78\00:04:49.29 just came up the trail from us and he wants 00:04:49.32\00:04:51.64 to get into the picture. He's slowly coming up 00:04:51.67\00:04:53.42 the trial that maybe 200 years ago other 00:04:53.45\00:04:56.34 Bison came from. Now, tell me this about reproduction. 00:04:56.37\00:05:00.63 I have heard that the cow of the Bison was one of the 00:05:00.72\00:05:05.12 most productive of all of the creatures, is this true? 00:05:05.15\00:05:07.73 They are Ranger Jim, in fact many of them 00:05:07.76\00:05:10.51 will reproduce and have calves clear up to the 00:05:10.54\00:05:13.34 age of 30. 30 year old cow having still having calves. 00:05:13.37\00:05:16.92 And her first calf is usually single then there 00:05:16.95\00:05:19.59 after it maybe twins. Often times they do have 00:05:19.62\00:05:22.17 twins that's right. That is just amazing, 00:05:22.20\00:05:24.49 now we have noticed that it's quite windy here 00:05:24.71\00:05:27.43 and in the winter time it's very cold. 00:05:27.46\00:05:29.39 How do they survive, we have, 00:05:29.60\00:05:31.61 we know we have blizzards. How do these creatures live? 00:05:31.90\00:05:34.14 Absolutely, especially here in Western Montana 00:05:34.17\00:05:36.40 Ranger Jim, those blizzards, those winds 00:05:36.43\00:05:39.08 they can be 30 below zero, 60 mile an hour wind, 00:05:39.11\00:05:41.49 that big buffalo, God designed him with his own 00:05:41.52\00:05:44.76 buffalo skin robe. It hangs over his shoulders, 00:05:44.79\00:05:48.12 down over his face, he faces these winds 00:05:48.15\00:05:51.39 and he grazes actually into that cold wind 00:05:51.42\00:05:54.34 as he eats the grass. May be he has to paw through 00:05:54.37\00:05:57.21 the snow for it. He's well equipped to survive 00:05:57.24\00:05:59.89 in very, very harsh climate of Western Montana, 00:05:59.92\00:06:02.63 the Western Plains where the buffalo thrived 00:06:02.66\00:06:05.38 at one time. And we can understand now because 00:06:05.41\00:06:07.85 where we are now in this mountainous area. 00:06:07.88\00:06:09.90 The wind is blowing now, but if it was 30 below zero 00:06:09.93\00:06:12.23 and of course when they bed down they find 00:06:12.26\00:06:13.93 a place out of the wind. They got your 00:06:13.96\00:06:15.97 buffalo robe and they're very comfortable. 00:06:16.00\00:06:18.16 Ranger Jim, if it was 30 below out here today 00:06:18.19\00:06:20.38 with the wind blowing like it is. 00:06:20.41\00:06:21.43 We'd have our ear muffs on, we'd be trying to get 00:06:21.46\00:06:25.05 back into the trucks under some shelter, 00:06:25.08\00:06:27.42 but the American Bison has to live out here 00:06:27.77\00:06:29.64 day and night. He has no place to go other than 00:06:29.67\00:06:31.80 may be behind a little bluff or in a backside 00:06:31.83\00:06:34.45 of a hill and so God has equipped him to protect 00:06:34.48\00:06:37.62 him from the elements, absolutely. 00:06:37.65\00:06:39.25 Another wonderful story boys and girls, 00:06:39.28\00:06:41.01 wow. Our creator God provides for all 00:06:41.04\00:06:43.86 of his creatures, so this is Ranger Jim and Ranger Rod 00:06:43.89\00:06:48.25 saying don't forget to tell the Jesus you love him, 00:06:48.28\00:06:51.24 because boys and girls He really does love you. 00:06:51.39\00:06:54.75 Welcome to Learning Time. Thanks for joining us today 00:09:39.50\00:09:42.31 and thank you for coming too. 00:09:42.34\00:09:43.99 Are you glad to be here today? 00:09:44.02\00:09:45.36 Yeah. I am too. You know, I've got some questions 00:09:45.47\00:09:49.57 to ask my helpers and I have Danielle over here. 00:09:49.60\00:09:52.11 Now Danielle, do you like animals? 00:09:52.40\00:09:54.43 Yeah. What's your favorite animal? 00:09:54.54\00:09:56.31 I have lots of favorite animals. Lots of favorite. 00:09:58.03\00:10:00.30 That's good to have lots of favorites 00:10:00.33\00:10:01.91 and I have Rachel over here. Rachel, 00:10:01.94\00:10:04.03 do you like insects? No. No, okay, 00:10:04.06\00:10:07.72 well we're gonna be talking a little bit about 00:10:07.75\00:10:09.37 insects today and then I have Joshua back there. 00:10:09.40\00:10:12.24 Joshua, what's your favorite animal? 00:10:12.27\00:10:14.15 A snake, a snake whoa, that's interesting. 00:10:14.37\00:10:17.33 Well hey, let me get my helpers to come up here. 00:10:17.36\00:10:19.61 I want you to come up right behind the table. 00:10:19.64\00:10:21.48 Come on up Danielle and come up here. 00:10:21.68\00:10:23.93 Here we go and I've got some things up here 00:10:23.96\00:10:26.37 and these are little flashlights. 00:10:26.40\00:10:27.79 Now, what I like to talk about is those animals, 00:10:28.00\00:10:31.03 creatures, interesting, snakes huh. Well, 00:10:31.06\00:10:34.19 we're gonna talk about oh actually we identify 00:10:34.22\00:10:38.37 animals sometimes by the number of legs 00:10:38.40\00:10:40.80 that they have. Right? And so we have insects. 00:10:40.83\00:10:43.96 How many legs do insects have, 00:10:43.99\00:10:45.30 do you have any idea? Six, six, about 00:10:45.33\00:10:48.62 six legs cool and you only have two, right? 00:10:48.65\00:10:50.74 Right. Yeah but Rachel has two and Danielle has three, 00:10:50.77\00:10:54.05 so, I mean two and so you could be an insect right, 00:10:54.08\00:10:57.48 if you all got together. Well, probably not, 00:10:57.51\00:10:59.75 but I'm talking about an animal that has four 00:10:59.95\00:11:02.72 pairs of legs. Does anybody know what 00:11:02.75\00:11:05.38 animal has four pairs, what is it? Spiders. 00:11:05.41\00:11:08.31 They are spiders and we call them Arachnids 00:11:08.34\00:11:11.01 and they're very interesting. How many, 00:11:11.04\00:11:12.68 do you like spiders? You like spiders? 00:11:12.71\00:11:14.24 No, no just snakes, yes. Well, you ought to, 00:11:14.27\00:11:16.99 you ought to kind of you know reach out a little bit 00:11:17.02\00:11:18.84 and expand to spiders, it could be interesting 00:11:18.87\00:11:21.11 and you don't like spiders at all? 00:11:21.14\00:11:22.27 No. No, how about you Danielle? No. 00:11:22.30\00:11:24.14 Okay, well, you know how many of you like to go 00:11:24.17\00:11:25.93 outside and look for nature. 00:11:25.96\00:11:27.93 Yeah, you like to look outside for nature. 00:11:27.96\00:11:29.55 Hey, I'm gonna show you a neat way of looking 00:11:29.58\00:11:32.06 outside for nature and in fact you can spot spiders 00:11:32.09\00:11:36.06 probably before they see you sometime, 00:11:36.09\00:11:38.90 will that be fun? Yeah. Yeah okay, 00:11:38.93\00:11:41.20 well here's how we do it. Actually we can take 00:11:41.23\00:11:43.24 a flashlight like this and you turn it on, 00:11:43.27\00:11:45.93 make sure it has batteries. Turn it on, 00:11:45.96\00:11:47.81 and what we do is we put it right beside our eye 00:11:48.06\00:11:50.78 on the side of your head right. 00:11:50.81\00:11:52.02 Oh I'm sorry didn't mean to turn it in your face, 00:11:52.27\00:11:54.64 but I have this light shining right here 00:11:55.01\00:11:56.72 and you can probably see that too at home 00:11:56.75\00:11:58.35 and what we do is out at night time 00:11:58.38\00:12:00.88 when it's dark, we just look around and we look 00:12:00.91\00:12:04.66 and we look and we look and if there is a 00:12:04.69\00:12:06.68 spider around. What do you suppose we're gonna see? 00:12:06.71\00:12:10.44 A spider, a spider, you're gonna see the light 00:12:11.56\00:12:14.51 from the flashlight being reflected off 00:12:14.54\00:12:17.31 of those eyes that spiders have. 00:12:17.34\00:12:20.10 Spiders sometimes have more than just a couple 00:12:20.13\00:12:22.92 of pair of eyes. Don't they? Oh yeah they can 00:12:22.95\00:12:25.34 have multiple eyes and they, that light just 00:12:25.37\00:12:27.87 shines back right to your own eye and they just 00:12:27.90\00:12:31.05 sparkle in the dark under bushes and on trees 00:12:31.08\00:12:34.64 and in the grass. Hey, hey, lets try that. 00:12:34.67\00:12:37.22 Why don't you grab this one right here 00:12:37.25\00:12:38.80 and here's one for you to grab over here. 00:12:38.83\00:12:40.82 Turn it on, oh Rachel, you got a big one right here. 00:12:40.85\00:12:44.15 You know and it's kind of heavy, and we just put it, 00:12:44.18\00:12:46.94 let's try it. Put it on the side of your head, 00:12:46.97\00:12:49.55 turn it on and shine it. In fact, shine it in some 00:12:49.58\00:12:52.40 of our audiences eyes over here. 00:12:52.43\00:12:53.95 How are we doing? Can you see the light, 00:12:55.44\00:12:57.20 now if you happen to be spiders, 00:12:57.41\00:12:59.54 all of that light information would be 00:12:59.57\00:13:01.69 shining back and they could see it. 00:13:01.72\00:13:03.80 Now it's very important that you hold it right even 00:13:03.83\00:13:06.30 with your own eye, so that that light as it 00:13:06.33\00:13:08.77 comes off of those spiders organs inside of their eyes, 00:13:08.80\00:13:11.88 it reflects back right into your own eyes. 00:13:11.91\00:13:14.72 Isn't that cool? Yeah. Now, do you know 00:13:14.75\00:13:17.34 why a spider does that? A spider does that because 00:13:17.37\00:13:20.06 God inside those little eyes, in those compound eyes, 00:13:20.09\00:13:23.31 those complex eyes of those spiders. 00:13:23.34\00:13:25.48 Those spiders need to see at night and some of them 00:13:25.51\00:13:27.78 do see pretty well at night and you know 00:13:27.81\00:13:29.61 what happens, those organs that are inside 00:13:29.64\00:13:32.20 that do all that, they collect all of that light 00:13:32.45\00:13:35.49 and that light just kind of stays in their eye 00:13:35.52\00:13:37.65 and it comes back, because otherwise they wouldn't 00:13:37.68\00:13:40.17 be able to see very well in the dark. 00:13:40.20\00:13:41.70 Hey can you think of an animal that you might 00:13:41.73\00:13:44.87 have seen at night and you saw their eyes 00:13:44.90\00:13:46.91 shining back at you. Have you ever seen an animal 00:13:46.94\00:13:48.84 that would do that? What animal, what? what? 00:13:48.87\00:13:52.12 No, I haven't seen an animal. 00:13:52.64\00:13:54.40 No, how about a cat, have you ever seen a cat 00:13:54.43\00:13:56.01 in the headlights of a car? Oh yeah, 00:13:56.19\00:13:58.16 can you see the reflection of the light coming out 00:13:58.19\00:14:00.58 of their eyes. Yes. Oh, I do too. It's a good 00:14:00.61\00:14:03.55 thing sometimes, otherwise we would hit those animals, 00:14:03.58\00:14:06.14 now that wouldn't be good. How about a deer. 00:14:06.17\00:14:07.71 Have you ever seen the light off the 00:14:07.94\00:14:09.24 eyes of a deer? Yes. That's right 00:14:09.27\00:14:11.23 and that light information comes back to us. 00:14:11.26\00:14:13.69 How about a dog? Well, we got Max over here. 00:14:13.72\00:14:16.20 You know what and Max's eyes they're built 00:14:16.23\00:14:18.64 that same way. The light comes back 00:14:18.67\00:14:21.09 and we can see those animals at night. 00:14:21.12\00:14:23.12 You know God made all kinds of interesting eyes 00:14:23.47\00:14:26.17 and interesting animals for us to study, 00:14:26.20\00:14:28.28 but you know what you have to be very careful 00:14:28.31\00:14:29.78 boys and girls because you know at night 00:14:29.81\00:14:31.56 and even in the day time there are some spiders 00:14:31.59\00:14:34.22 that you know can hurt us right. 00:14:34.25\00:14:35.77 That's right and some of them have venom, right, 00:14:35.99\00:14:38.09 I mean there is poison in them right 00:14:38.12\00:14:40.10 and they could hurt us, so be very careful 00:14:40.13\00:14:41.92 and don't pick up a spider that you don't know 00:14:41.95\00:14:43.65 anything about, 'cause it could bite you right 00:14:43.68\00:14:45.78 and that could be a bad news thing. 00:14:46.07\00:14:47.86 Well, remember boys and girls whenever we learn 00:14:47.89\00:14:51.46 more about science, we learn more 00:14:51.49\00:14:54.41 about our creator God. 00:14:54.44\00:14:57.13 Our Captain Naaman was told by the Prophet 00:15:02.73\00:15:05.71 of Israel to dip in the dirty river Jordan 00:15:05.74\00:15:08.63 and he was healed. Captain Naaman was healed, 00:15:08.66\00:15:12.01 can you believe that, he was told to dip in the 00:15:12.04\00:15:14.41 river seven times and he was come out healed. 00:15:14.44\00:15:17.81 That's amazing. What he's saying is true. 00:15:18.20\00:15:20.88 Captain Naaman he had to dip in the river seven 00:15:21.02\00:15:23.40 times in the river Jordan and he was healed. 00:15:23.43\00:15:26.21 He couldn't go into any other river 00:15:26.55\00:15:28.12 he wanted to. Oh here's lady Naaman now. 00:15:28.15\00:15:29.56 Little maid, can you get me a couple onions please. 00:15:32.44\00:15:34.98 Oh! Yes, yes, yes, that's good. Yes. 00:15:37.39\00:15:39.84 Look at that poor man over there, 00:15:39.87\00:15:41.21 could we may be get him some bread. 00:15:41.97\00:15:43.66 He looks so hungry. Oh little maid, 00:15:44.40\00:15:46.88 you are always so thoughtful, yes of course. 00:15:46.91\00:15:50.46 Let's see, why don't you take him one of these 00:15:55.06\00:15:59.41 and why don't we take him one of these too, 00:15:59.63\00:16:01.99 you run and, run and give it to him, I will pay and 00:16:02.40\00:16:05.23 I will call you when I'm finished shopping, okay. 00:16:05.26\00:16:07.63 How much do I owe you? 00:16:09.88\00:16:11.16 Hello, I bought some bread for you, can you speak? 00:16:15.17\00:16:20.46 You can understand me. Do you have any family? 00:16:22.52\00:16:28.54 I know how it feels like to be lonely too. 00:16:31.71\00:16:33.93 Here's another, you see I was taken from 00:16:36.35\00:16:41.33 my home in Israel. The soldiers one night 00:16:41.36\00:16:44.99 they just stormed into our house, broke in, 00:16:45.29\00:16:47.86 the next thing I knew I was on a big horse 00:16:48.41\00:16:52.06 in the dark night and I was, I didn't know 00:16:52.26\00:16:55.07 where we were going, I was so afraid 00:16:55.10\00:16:58.09 and I felt so lonely you know, 00:16:58.12\00:17:01.27 but without my mother or father, but you know, 00:17:02.10\00:17:07.42 I know I didn't have to feel lonely because 00:17:07.45\00:17:10.69 I believe in the God of Israel. He protect us, 00:17:10.72\00:17:14.36 and he, we can never feel lonely with him 00:17:14.75\00:17:18.50 and you know he actually helped to me find out 00:17:20.06\00:17:23.00 something about Master Naaman that will help 00:17:23.03\00:17:26.37 me help him actually, you see Master Naaman 00:17:26.40\00:17:30.33 had leprosy, really, really bad skin disease 00:17:30.36\00:17:33.54 you know, and oh it was horrible Mistress Naaman 00:17:33.57\00:17:38.03 was all crying all the time, but you know 00:17:38.06\00:17:42.06 so anyways I prayed and I asked God 00:17:42.46\00:17:45.91 and He told me to go and tell Mistress Naaman 00:17:46.37\00:17:50.57 about a Prophet in Israel, his name is Elisha 00:17:50.60\00:17:54.48 and he heals people, he even raised a dead boy 00:17:54.77\00:17:58.16 to life once. Well, she told me that 00:17:58.19\00:18:02.47 we should go and tell Master Naaman so we did, 00:18:02.80\00:18:06.68 and he told the King of Syria and he sent a letter 00:18:06.71\00:18:11.17 to the King of Israel, who, but things got 00:18:11.20\00:18:15.75 a little bit mixed up around there and you see, 00:18:15.78\00:18:17.64 because you see Master Naaman thought 00:18:17.67\00:18:22.62 that it was going to be the King of Israel 00:18:22.65\00:18:24.97 who was going to heal him. Anyways, 00:18:25.11\00:18:28.12 Elisha probably heard about this around the time 00:18:28.60\00:18:31.51 and Elisha told the King to send 00:18:31.91\00:18:35.50 Master Naaman to him. Elisha then sent a 00:18:35.53\00:18:39.45 messenger out and told Master Naaman to go 00:18:39.48\00:18:42.53 and dip in the Jordan river seven times, 00:18:42.56\00:18:45.57 but the Jordan river's such a dirty river 00:18:45.60\00:18:47.89 you know and he thought he was going to hurt 00:18:47.92\00:18:51.58 his national pride because you know he was a foreign 00:18:51.61\00:18:53.87 General dipping in the Jordan river 00:18:53.90\00:18:56.15 which is in Israel. But, fortunately, his officers 00:18:56.18\00:19:00.77 convinced him to try it, besides if Elisha had asked 00:19:00.80\00:19:05.14 him to do something really, really big then 00:19:05.17\00:19:07.90 he would have done it anyway. So they went 00:19:07.93\00:19:10.96 and when he, and he got in, he dipped the first time, 00:19:11.44\00:19:16.40 the second time, the third time and while everybody 00:19:16.43\00:19:20.49 was starting to get nervous now, sixth 00:19:20.52\00:19:23.04 and now the seventh, he dipped slowly under 00:19:23.61\00:19:26.95 the water and when he came up again, 00:19:26.98\00:19:29.24 he was healed. Can you believe the God of Heaven 00:19:29.56\00:19:33.38 healing a Syrian soldier. Wow! God is amazing, 00:19:33.41\00:19:37.75 don't you think. Yes, and he has been so 00:19:38.05\00:19:45.18 faithful to us. He has helped me get a 00:19:45.21\00:19:49.18 good Mistress, Mistress Naaman treats 00:19:49.21\00:19:51.62 almost like her daughter, we like to talk sometimes 00:19:51.65\00:19:54.80 and she's very, very nice, she doesn't 00:19:54.83\00:19:58.59 even really treat me. Little maid, little maid. 00:19:58.62\00:20:01.79 I've got to go, can I pray with you. 00:20:02.33\00:20:04.55 Dear God, please be with this man like you are 00:20:05.78\00:20:08.44 with me and bless this man dear Lord 00:20:08.47\00:20:11.39 in your name we pray, Amen. 00:20:11.42\00:20:13.24 Hope to see you again some time. 00:20:14.05\00:20:16.36 Here dear, can you pay for the onions. Oh, yes. 00:20:20.81\00:20:23.97 To the shopkeeper, thank you. 00:20:24.00\00:20:24.99 This old world is dark and deceiving 00:20:37.68\00:20:41.94 but there's hope for all in believing 00:20:41.97\00:20:46.01 Signs are all around that he's coming 00:20:46.04\00:20:50.05 I'll be somewhere listening for my name 00:20:50.08\00:20:53.68 I'll be somewhere listening I'll be somewhere listening 00:20:54.02\00:20:58.31 I'll be somewhere listening for my name 00:20:58.34\00:21:02.20 I'll be somewhere listening I'll be somewhere listening 00:21:02.23\00:21:06.49 I'll be somewhere listening for my name 00:21:06.52\00:21:10.42 When the Savior calls I will answer 00:21:10.45\00:21:14.95 When He calls for me I will hear 00:21:14.98\00:21:19.08 When the Savior calls I will answer 00:21:19.11\00:21:22.99 I'll be somewhere listening for my name 00:21:23.02\00:21:26.92 I'll be somewhere listening I'll be somewhere listening 00:21:26.95\00:21:31.66 I'll be somewhere listening for my name 00:21:31.69\00:21:35.49 I'll be somewhere listening I'll be somewhere listening 00:21:35.52\00:21:40.06 I'll be somewhere listening for my name 00:21:40.09\00:21:43.82 With thy Holy Spirit fill me 00:21:43.85\00:21:48.24 I submit my Will I will serve thee 00:21:48.27\00:21:52.62 With thy Holy Spirit fill me 00:21:52.65\00:21:56.29 I'll be somewhere listening for my name 00:21:56.62\00:22:00.36 I'll be somewhere listening I'll be somewhere listening 00:22:00.39\00:22:04.94 I'll be somewhere listening for name 00:22:04.97\00:22:08.79 I'll be somewhere listening I'll be somewhere listening 00:22:08.82\00:22:13.22 I'll be somewhere listening for my name 00:22:13.25\00:22:16.79 I'll be somewhere listening for my name. 00:22:16.82\00:22:25.19 Hi boys and girls, it's time for Miss Brenda's 00:22:33.03\00:22:35.15 book of the day and today's book is called 00:22:35.18\00:22:38.77 Hannah's Girls, this one is on Morella, 00:22:38.80\00:22:41.01 written by Ruth Merkel and it's a wonderful book 00:22:41.04\00:22:44.40 boys and girls to learn more about Jesus. 00:22:44.43\00:22:46.71 I would like to introduce you to our guest today, 00:22:47.42\00:22:49.54 we have with us Samuel. Samuel, 00:22:49.57\00:22:51.48 welcome to the program. Thanks Ms. Brenda. 00:22:51.51\00:22:53.36 I am so glad, now this isn't your first time 00:22:53.39\00:22:55.21 on Kids Time. Is it? No. I, in fact you recently 00:22:55.24\00:22:58.25 were with us tapping Bible stories. 00:22:58.28\00:22:59.72 So boys and girls, you can see Samuel, 00:22:59.75\00:23:01.25 if you look our Bible stories, you'll see Samuel 00:23:01.28\00:23:02.96 in there somewhere I'm sure. Samuel, 00:23:02.99\00:23:04.81 what is it specifically that you do to share Jesus? 00:23:05.08\00:23:07.99 I preach, I sing. Now wait, wait, wait, you said 00:23:08.37\00:23:11.03 you preach. Now, how old are you? I'm 12. 00:23:11.06\00:23:14.36 You're 12 years old and you preach? 00:23:14.39\00:23:16.15 In front of people, tell me about it. 00:23:16.79\00:23:19.37 I started when I was 6 years, 5 years old, 00:23:20.10\00:23:22.61 I wrote the sermon. You wrote a sermon 00:23:22.64\00:23:24.86 when you were 5 years old. I had asked my dad 00:23:24.89\00:23:26.77 on Friday if I can preach with him and he had said 00:23:26.80\00:23:30.59 not this time, now which now I understand. 00:23:30.62\00:23:33.33 And your dad's a preacher? Right. 00:23:33.36\00:23:34.33 And so I had gone to, what we call the back room 00:23:34.53\00:23:36.82 and I started writing out a sermon with crayons, 00:23:37.01\00:23:39.85 and so I came out and I showed it to my mom 00:23:40.90\00:23:43.98 and I preached it the next year in vespers. 00:23:44.16\00:23:47.80 And so you've been preaching every since. 00:23:48.57\00:23:50.47 And what is the largest group you've ever 00:23:51.26\00:23:53.45 preached for. 200 to 250 people, I was the keynote 00:23:53.48\00:23:57.95 speaker in a children's week affair. 00:23:57.98\00:23:59.77 That's incredible. So if people see this program 00:24:00.05\00:24:03.31 and wanted you to come and speak you would pray 00:24:03.34\00:24:05.21 about it and consider it. Yes. That's incredible. 00:24:05.24\00:24:08.31 Now what type of things would you preach on? 00:24:08.34\00:24:10.52 My favorite one was on Daniel 7 in Revelation 13. 00:24:11.25\00:24:15.16 That's your favorite and what other topics 00:24:15.47\00:24:17.30 would you preach on? I did John 3:16 00:24:17.33\00:24:19.69 which is a two part, I did, I am starting on 00:24:19.72\00:24:22.68 one just in my spare time in and when I get 00:24:22.71\00:24:26.61 inspired on Psalms 23. Oh yes, that's a wonderful, 00:24:26.64\00:24:30.51 wonderful message in that chapter. 00:24:31.12\00:24:34.70 So, can you tell me when you speak at these places, 00:24:35.06\00:24:39.53 do you have an opportunity afterwards to talk to some 00:24:39.56\00:24:41.61 of kids do they, and. A lot of times they'll come up 00:24:41.64\00:24:44.79 to me and they'll be like hey that's was cool 00:24:44.82\00:24:46.14 you know and a lot of times they'll say you know 00:24:46.17\00:24:49.12 I wanna try doing that too. 00:24:49.15\00:24:50.81 I said it's a good thing to do and it's very good 00:24:51.27\00:24:54.46 and they bring you closer to the Lord. 00:24:54.49\00:24:55.87 It does, in the same time you can share Jesus 00:24:55.90\00:24:57.75 with others. It helps you too doesn't it? 00:24:57.78\00:24:59.90 it really does, and what would you say 00:25:00.06\00:25:02.26 to kids that, that may be are a little bit shy. 00:25:02.29\00:25:04.54 I was shy at first and I got really nervous 00:25:05.66\00:25:07.68 but just go out there and try to be confident 00:25:07.71\00:25:10.11 and just pray and pray with you family a lot. 00:25:10.14\00:25:14.68 Just watch your family. Well, if your family 00:25:15.11\00:25:17.63 loves Jesus. Right. But they might to witness to 00:25:17.66\00:25:19.81 their own family, there's many cases, 00:25:19.84\00:25:21.96 kids have to be witness and maybe their mom 00:25:21.99\00:25:23.56 and dad don't know Jesus and boys and girls 00:25:23.59\00:25:25.78 have to witness right there and preach in their own 00:25:25.81\00:25:27.51 home sometimes right. Yes. And do you take 00:25:27.54\00:25:30.58 advantage of other opportunities 00:25:30.61\00:25:32.11 to witness for Jesus. Yes, sometimes when I go 00:25:32.14\00:25:35.53 to churches and my dad preaches sometimes 00:25:35.56\00:25:37.28 I'll play special music on the piano or sing 00:25:37.31\00:25:39.91 or something like that. Do you like to sing 00:25:39.94\00:25:42.45 and to play, I like composing music 00:25:42.48\00:25:45.61 and stuff like that. So, you have a musical gift, 00:25:45.64\00:25:48.13 you know God gives each one of us talents 00:25:48.39\00:25:50.39 boys and girls that he wants us to use for him, 00:25:50.42\00:25:52.48 and that is so important. You know God, you know 00:25:52.51\00:25:55.52 He has given Samuel a wonder gift to speak, 00:25:55.84\00:25:58.82 he didn't start off with that gift you heard him 00:25:58.96\00:26:00.89 say he was shy. But God can help you, 00:26:00.92\00:26:03.42 if God is calling you to do something, 00:26:03.45\00:26:05.12 he's going to help you with whatever it is he calls 00:26:05.27\00:26:08.25 you to do.
