It's almost time for Kids Time, 00:00:01.98\00:00:03.03 we're gonna be late. 00:00:03.06\00:00:04.08 It's time to share there's a world out there, 00:00:04.11\00:00:08.06 Looking for a friend like Jesus. 00:00:08.39\00:00:11.76 It's time to share there's a world out there; 00:00:11.79\00:00:15.99 let's tell them that He loves us so. 00:00:16.02\00:00:19.43 Let's tell them that He loves us so. 00:00:19.46\00:00:22.88 Kids Time, Kids Time, Kids Time. 00:00:24.04\00:00:29.61 Hi, boys and girls. Have you ever done something 00:00:31.18\00:00:33.65 mean to a friend and then thought really bad about it. 00:00:33.68\00:00:36.16 And then when you ask for forgiveness your 00:00:36.61\00:00:38.37 friend said, sure I forgive you and you just went 00:00:38.40\00:00:41.40 on being best friends, but what if right after that 00:00:41.52\00:00:44.80 happened is second friend came up to you and said, 00:00:44.83\00:00:47.15 I'm sorry for being mean to you today, please 00:00:47.50\00:00:49.65 forgive me. And you look and said, no I won't 00:00:49.68\00:00:52.75 forgive you. I don't ever want to be friends 00:00:52.78\00:00:54.70 with you again. Well, I hope not boys and girls. 00:00:54.73\00:00:57.32 I hope you would remember that you had 00:00:57.67\00:00:59.48 just been forgiven. And I hope you would 00:00:59.51\00:01:01.56 remember how good it felt to be friends again. 00:01:01.59\00:01:03.78 And then forgive your second friend just as you 00:01:04.07\00:01:06.53 had been forgiven. Because boys and girls 00:01:06.56\00:01:09.24 that's what God is called each of us to do. 00:01:09.27\00:01:11.36 Forgive as we have been forgiven. 00:01:11.78\00:01:13.48 And I know I have been forgiven a lot. 00:01:14.07\00:01:15.62 I'm sure you have too, that's what our Bible 00:01:15.83\00:01:18.09 story is about today. We will hear it soon, 00:01:18.12\00:01:20.38 but right now hey Maxwell and I are getting 00:01:20.69\00:01:23.50 ready for, Maxwell? Maxwell? Sleeping again. 00:01:23.53\00:01:28.18 Get ready for nature time. Come on Maxwell you 00:01:28.66\00:01:31.78 can do it, come on boy, 00:01:31.81\00:01:33.44 come on, hey it's Nature Time. 00:01:33.69\00:01:35.83 Hi, boys and girls welcome to Nature Time. 00:01:42.12\00:01:44.70 Ranger Jim, we are here in beautiful Western 00:01:45.10\00:01:46.68 Montana today and you know it is such a 00:01:46.71\00:01:48.89 privilege and a pleasure to be 00:01:48.92\00:01:50.34 on the program together. Today, I would like to 00:01:50.37\00:01:53.46 talk a little bit about white tailed deer. 00:01:53.49\00:01:55.23 You know, white tailed deer found in most all of 00:01:55.48\00:01:57.67 North America. So, many boys and girls are 00:01:57.70\00:01:59.37 familiar with them. They see them in their yard 00:01:59.40\00:02:01.05 sometimes or they see them in the fields that 00:02:01.08\00:02:02.95 they pass, farmer's fields. And so, if we could talk 00:02:02.98\00:02:06.37 just a little bit about it even out here in beautiful 00:02:06.40\00:02:08.26 Montana, where we also have the mule deer, 00:02:08.29\00:02:10.10 we also have the white tailed deer. 00:02:10.38\00:02:11.76 Now, I notice Ranger Jim you are holding 00:02:12.23\00:02:13.69 something in your hand is this something about, 00:02:13.72\00:02:15.55 is this, what is this have to do with 00:02:15.58\00:02:17.26 the white tailed deer? Well, boys and girls this 00:02:17.29\00:02:19.48 has to do, this is what the daddy deer wears. 00:02:19.51\00:02:21.90 And from the time he is born on his forehead upon 00:02:22.49\00:02:25.77 the top of his skull, if you look with binoculars you 00:02:25.80\00:02:28.45 can see even when he is very small, there will be a 00:02:28.48\00:02:30.83 little knob about that big sticky up. Okay. 00:02:30.86\00:02:32.86 It's called the button. And from that these horns 00:02:32.89\00:02:35.76 or these antlers grows. You see, I almost had 00:02:35.79\00:02:38.01 horns. Yeah. They are not horns; they are not 00:02:38.04\00:02:39.54 permanent because they are shed. 00:02:39.57\00:02:41.05 And each year this goes larger and larger and 00:02:41.43\00:02:44.68 then this is a very mature button, we call this a 00:02:44.71\00:02:47.57 matched set. You said, you found these, right, 00:02:47.60\00:02:50.39 and these came from the same buck. 00:02:50.42\00:02:51.72 Because they are just matched perfectly and 00:02:51.90\00:02:53.92 setting up on his head boys and girls, they are 00:02:53.95\00:02:56.11 majestic with setting up like this. Beautiful. 00:02:56.14\00:02:58.61 And Ranger Rod I have seen them run through 00:02:58.64\00:03:00.66 the bush at 30 miles an hour with this, they put 00:03:00.69\00:03:03.67 their head in the air, their nose is up, and the 00:03:03.70\00:03:06.01 antler lays back like this. And they can run right 00:03:06.04\00:03:08.72 through the bush and it doesn't even catch. 00:03:08.75\00:03:10.54 You know, Ranger Jim in Eastern part of the 00:03:10.80\00:03:13.46 country maybe, maybe in fact you live in the 00:03:13.49\00:03:15.50 Eastern part of United States. 00:03:15.53\00:03:17.46 They count these points differently then they do 00:03:17.88\00:03:21.03 here in the West. Okay. Now, that might be 00:03:21.06\00:03:23.35 interesting for boys and girls because if you have 00:03:24.06\00:03:25.99 an opportunity let's say to visit the West, if you are 00:03:26.02\00:03:28.54 from the East or if you have the opportunity to 00:03:28.57\00:03:30.84 visit the East because you are from the West this is 00:03:30.87\00:03:33.63 a little tit-bit of knowledge that I'm gonna give you, 00:03:33.66\00:03:36.04 so that you can sound very knowledgeable of 00:03:36.33\00:03:39.68 the antler points. Oh! Yes. In the East, let's say 00:03:39.71\00:03:42.67 in Michigan or Pennsylvania or New York, this would 00:03:42.70\00:03:45.70 be considered a ten point buck. Right. 00:03:45.73\00:03:48.03 Because he has one, two, three, four, five, six, 00:03:48.06\00:03:51.27 seven, eight, nine, ten points, but if you are out 00:03:51.30\00:03:53.99 here in the West let's say in Montana or Wyoming 00:03:54.02\00:03:56.36 or Colorado this is considered a five point 00:03:56.39\00:03:59.34 buck. He would be what they would say he is 00:03:59.37\00:04:01.42 a five by five. Right. They would never him a 00:04:01.45\00:04:03.75 ten point buck. Unless of course he was you know, 00:04:03.78\00:04:06.54 a proud photographer who had a photograph of 00:04:06.80\00:04:08.85 it and he says look at all ten points on that buck. 00:04:08.88\00:04:10.87 Ten points would to be almost bigger than 00:04:10.90\00:04:12.23 anyone of it. That's right, you know, 00:04:12.26\00:04:13.44 Ranger Jim I'm, I'm holding an antler here and 00:04:13.47\00:04:16.79 maybe you can talk just little bit about this, 00:04:16.82\00:04:18.28 this for some reason looks different 00:04:18.49\00:04:19.80 than the antlers again. Alright, alright, that's 00:04:19.83\00:04:21.25 very simple you see the main beam goes along 00:04:21.28\00:04:23.27 like this and these tines come off the main beam 00:04:23.30\00:04:25.62 and come up that way, where as these branch 00:04:25.65\00:04:27.95 from the main beam and go up like that. 00:04:27.98\00:04:29.89 Okay and the rule of thumb for counting the 00:04:30.10\00:04:32.86 points and many hunters they want to get a big 00:04:32.89\00:04:35.24 count like a ten point or twelve point, it's the 00:04:35.27\00:04:37.89 point sticking out here as to be big enough to 00:04:38.82\00:04:40.82 support, hanging a cup of some kind of hang on 00:04:40.85\00:04:42.90 that would be there. And so, these are sheds as 00:04:42.93\00:04:45.94 we set them to fall and then in the spring he 00:04:45.97\00:04:48.99 grows a new one, but the fun thing is Ranger Rod 00:04:49.02\00:04:51.76 you and I know because we are out all the time, 00:04:52.27\00:04:54.30 when we see a little buck like this and when the doe 00:04:54.60\00:04:57.64 has twins, he will be the little boy, little male deer 00:04:57.67\00:05:02.07 and the female. Right. And you can tell from 00:05:02.30\00:05:04.70 the second week in life just where they act, 00:05:04.73\00:05:07.24 if it's a boy. Just like with boys and girls when they 00:05:07.45\00:05:10.06 are out playing. The girls would be a little more 00:05:10.09\00:05:11.95 dainty and, and, and they will try to stay closer to 00:05:11.98\00:05:15.79 mother. And the boy right off about what's he is 00:05:15.82\00:05:18.76 doing, he is chasing off out there and mother goes 00:05:18.79\00:05:21.35 and gets him, gives him a nudge and a buck, 00:05:21.38\00:05:23.33 comeback over here she said, but you can see 00:05:23.59\00:05:25.68 from the very time when you get out and start 00:05:25.71\00:05:27.39 running and ripping and tearing, he doesn't go 00:05:27.42\00:05:29.51 around the bush booming around right through it. 00:05:29.54\00:05:31.92 Isn't that something? And some of the times 00:05:32.03\00:05:33.44 they are very young, you can tell the 00:05:33.47\00:05:34.84 difference in them. Amazing, you know, 00:05:34.87\00:05:36.64 Ranger Jim I just wanted to touch base once 00:05:36.67\00:05:38.83 again about this particular antler. 00:05:39.08\00:05:40.53 This is an antler, I want to tell the boys and girls 00:05:40.56\00:05:42.09 incase they didn't know from a mule deer. 00:05:42.12\00:05:43.95 A very similar species. Right. Many of their 00:05:44.33\00:05:46.02 habits are quite the same. Many of the ways they, 00:05:46.05\00:05:48.45 they raise their young are the same, maybe we 00:05:48.48\00:05:50.21 could touch just for a moment the mothers in 00:05:50.24\00:05:53.42 the fangs. At this time, if you are here in Western 00:05:53.45\00:05:54.90 Montana many of the doers that's the mommy 00:05:54.93\00:05:57.39 deer are going around with their fangs. 00:05:57.42\00:05:59.64 And Ranger Jim you were sharing with me 00:05:59.67\00:06:01.11 yesterday a very interesting point about 00:06:01.14\00:06:04.10 how these mothers, from the mother white tailed 00:06:04.13\00:06:06.60 and the mother mule deer differ a little bit on their 00:06:06.63\00:06:09.58 defense of their fangs. Could you share with us 00:06:09.61\00:06:11.71 about that? Alright and that, that is, 00:06:11.74\00:06:13.41 exciting and the wonderful thing. 00:06:13.44\00:06:14.86 In experiments boys and girls biologists took these 00:06:15.53\00:06:18.07 sounding the tapes with microphones out in the 00:06:18.88\00:06:23.33 woods with recording and they played over this 00:06:23.36\00:06:26.57 tape fang being attacked by a coyote. 00:06:26.60\00:06:30.02 The coyote grounding and the fang making 00:06:30.31\00:06:32.70 mi-aa-aa, ba-aa-aa, ba-aa-aa a sound like that. 00:06:32.73\00:06:36.66 And in the white tailed deer, if the mother deer 00:06:37.07\00:06:39.60 is the doer had her found with her, 00:06:39.76\00:06:41.86 she wouldn't respond. She wouldn't go and see 00:06:42.26\00:06:44.88 what was going on. And with the mule deer 00:06:44.91\00:06:48.16 mother even if she had twins standing side 00:06:48.19\00:06:50.93 by side with her. She would respond and go 00:06:50.96\00:06:53.14 to that sound and she would look back and 00:06:53.17\00:06:55.44 forth and all around trying to find out what 00:06:55.47\00:06:57.90 isn't that? Every time she would respond and so the 00:06:57.93\00:07:01.25 thanking on that is, that here in the west where 00:07:01.28\00:07:04.29 the mule deer is more prominent. Right. 00:07:04.32\00:07:06.41 They are more open to attack from coyotes 00:07:06.44\00:07:08.96 and wolves and things of that nature. 00:07:08.99\00:07:10.56 So, those mothers are much more protective 00:07:10.81\00:07:13.73 of their fangs that all we can do. 00:07:13.98\00:07:16.20 You know, Ranger Jim that reminds me of a 00:07:16.23\00:07:17.73 thought, shouldn't we as Christians, amen, 00:07:17.76\00:07:20.64 very protective even of, even of one another, 00:07:20.67\00:07:23.68 not just within our own family unit, but shouldn't 00:07:23.71\00:07:25.86 we be looking out for one another, isn't that a 00:07:25.89\00:07:27.76 principle that's all through the Bible? 00:07:27.79\00:07:28.97 Amen, amen, it's been a thrill today to be here. 00:07:29.00\00:07:32.16 And to share some of this knowledge with you 00:07:32.53\00:07:33.99 boys and girls. I have finally found someone 00:07:34.02\00:07:36.13 who loves animals as much as I Ranger Rod. 00:07:36.16\00:07:38.58 So, this is Ranger Jim saying, as always don't 00:07:38.61\00:07:41.75 forget to tell Jesus you love him 00:07:41.78\00:07:43.43 because he really does love you. 00:07:43.74\00:07:46.63 He's got the whole world in His hands, 00:07:57.20\00:08:01.43 He's got the whole world in His hands, 00:08:01.46\00:08:05.56 He's got the whole world in His hands, 00:08:05.59\00:08:09.79 He's got the whole world in His hands. 00:08:09.82\00:08:13.55 He's got the tiny little baby in His hands 00:08:13.89\00:08:18.14 He's got the tiny little baby in His hands 00:08:18.17\00:08:22.31 He's got the tiny little baby in His hands 00:08:22.34\00:08:26.26 He's got the whole world in His hands 00:08:26.29\00:08:29.92 He's got you and me, brother, in His hands 00:08:30.52\00:08:34.59 He's got you and me, sister, in His hands 00:08:34.62\00:08:38.65 He's got you and me, brother, in his hands 00:08:38.68\00:08:42.73 He's got the whole world in His hands 00:08:42.76\00:08:46.68 He's got the whole world in His hands 00:08:46.91\00:08:53.40 Welcome to Learning Time, I'm glad that you 00:09:01.08\00:09:03.18 are here today. And you know, today we are 00:09:03.21\00:09:04.88 gonna do an exciting science experiment and 00:09:04.91\00:09:07.82 are you ready to do a science experiment? Yes. 00:09:07.85\00:09:11.46 Well, I'm gonna need three helpers and we have 00:09:11.49\00:09:13.40 Madison over here, Madison where are you 00:09:13.43\00:09:15.72 from? Illinois. Illinois? Hey, you are right at 00:09:15.75\00:09:18.34 home aren't you? Because we are in Illinois right 00:09:18.37\00:09:20.62 now. And then we have Christopher over here, 00:09:20.65\00:09:22.77 Christopher where are your from? 00:09:22.97\00:09:24.35 I'm from Georgia. From Georgia? 00:09:24.38\00:09:25.94 Well, how many of you are from Georgia 00:09:26.32\00:09:27.46 anybody? Oh! We got a few from Georgia. 00:09:27.49\00:09:29.48 And then we have Rena, Rena where are you from? 00:09:29.78\00:09:32.47 Tennessee. Tennessee? So, we are spread out 00:09:32.76\00:09:34.91 aren't we? Now, I want you all to come up here. 00:09:34.94\00:09:37.51 So, we have got our three helpers up here and why 00:09:37.87\00:09:39.87 don't you come on around here Rena and Madison 00:09:39.90\00:09:42.09 come on up here. And I have got something 00:09:42.12\00:09:43.60 in my hand right here. Oh! What do you, what 00:09:43.63\00:09:45.51 do you suppose these things are? 00:09:45.62\00:09:46.59 Balloons. These are balloons you know, 00:09:47.09\00:09:48.40 how many of you would like to make a lot of money? 00:09:48.57\00:09:50.61 It's not a bad idea. Okay, sure you have got to 00:09:51.56\00:09:53.45 make a living you know, there are some people 00:09:53.48\00:09:55.20 I came up with the balloon, I said you know 00:09:55.23\00:09:56.90 we could make a balloon that could sound like a 00:09:56.93\00:09:59.90 rocket, that would be a fun balloon, wouldn't it? 00:09:59.93\00:10:01.86 Yeah, and we got an shoe like a rocket too. 00:10:02.39\00:10:04.88 So, we are gonna study this little balloon up. 00:10:05.10\00:10:06.93 And what all we have to do is put some 00:10:07.24\00:10:09.05 air in the balloon. So, these are real hard to 00:10:09.08\00:10:11.20 blow up by a mouth. So, we are gonna use the pump. 00:10:11.23\00:10:13.18 Yup, hang on, there we go. Let's fill up our 00:10:13.21\00:10:16.81 balloon with our pump, here we, oh, hang on 00:10:16.84\00:10:19.71 having technical difficulties with our pump. 00:10:20.41\00:10:22.40 Wow, that's scare you, okay. We will try this one 00:10:26.24\00:10:30.66 again here and here we go, let's, let's 00:10:30.69\00:10:32.34 try to do this one. Alright, come on here 00:10:32.37\00:10:35.73 we go, here we go, here we go, may we can get 00:10:35.76\00:10:37.27 this thing work, we are gonna pump this thing up, 00:10:37.30\00:10:39.62 I'm gonna hand this to Christopher. 00:10:39.65\00:10:41.80 Okay, Christopher you ready grab this balloon, 00:10:41.83\00:10:43.72 okay and it's ready to do. So, you might wanna 00:10:43.75\00:10:46.08 straighten that out because you know, 00:10:46.11\00:10:47.53 rockets, rockets are usually straight, aren't they? 00:10:47.56\00:10:49.64 Yeah, the cricket rocket is going to go cricket isn't it? 00:10:50.67\00:10:53.48 So, let's go ahead and try to blow this balloon up too. 00:10:54.47\00:10:56.79 We will give this one here to Rena. 00:10:57.17\00:10:58.57 Okay, now inside of these balloons we have 00:10:58.87\00:11:01.49 what kind of pressure? What kind of pressure 00:11:01.52\00:11:03.87 inside? Air. Air pressure, sure. It's loaded with air 00:11:03.90\00:11:07.80 and that air, hang on to that Rena, okay. 00:11:07.83\00:11:10.56 these balloons are loaded with air, right. 00:11:11.29\00:11:12.91 Air pressure, air pressure is pushing out in all 00:11:12.94\00:11:15.64 directions, but if we release the valve in that's 00:11:15.67\00:11:19.26 where I'm putting air in there. Then the air comes 00:11:19.29\00:11:21.52 out very, very quickly and then the air pressure 00:11:21.55\00:11:25.84 is real low coming out higher pressure all around 00:11:25.87\00:11:28.99 it makes the balloon shoot out there, think we can 00:11:29.02\00:11:31.17 shoot these balloons out. Yeah. Okay, well we are 00:11:31.20\00:11:34.10 gonna do, we are gonna, we are gonna shoot them 00:11:34.13\00:11:35.51 out one at a time. So, why don't you start first 00:11:35.54\00:11:38.60 Christopher and just above their heads, 00:11:38.63\00:11:40.18 can you move right over here, and how about 00:11:40.21\00:11:41.88 let's give him three, two, one. Three, two, one, 00:11:41.91\00:11:45.50 Wow! How about that, Rena how about yours, 00:11:51.48\00:11:53.97 are you ready? So, in just above your heads and let 00:11:54.00\00:11:56.80 it go, count down, three, two, one, let it go. 00:11:56.83\00:12:00.22 Wow! Wow! Where it went there, my, 00:12:07.10\00:12:09.09 my goodness, are you ready for yours? Yes. 00:12:09.44\00:12:12.32 Okay, count down for the blue one, three, two, one, 00:12:12.35\00:12:16.29 and let's ready for this thing. Went on a ground, 00:12:16.32\00:12:20.90 Wow! Way over there. Wow! Now, that was 00:12:21.35\00:12:28.75 interesting wasn't it? Hey, let me ask you a question, 00:12:28.78\00:12:30.83 did you hear the balloon make a screaming sound? Yes. 00:12:30.86\00:12:33.96 It sounded just like a rocket. You know, why it 00:12:33.99\00:12:36.22 makes that screaming sound because these 00:12:36.25\00:12:38.21 scientists, these people had made these balloons. 00:12:38.24\00:12:40.48 They actually have a little valve in on here. 00:12:40.78\00:12:42.96 And it vibrates when the air comes out and it 00:12:43.17\00:12:45.26 makes that vibration. So, what we are gonna 00:12:45.29\00:12:47.52 do is I'm gonna put this balloon back on our pump. 00:12:47.55\00:12:50.21 I'm gonna pump this thing up, well we are 00:12:50.24\00:12:52.66 going to take that valve in, we are gonna shorten 00:12:52.69\00:12:55.33 it, we are gonna get a real short, so it can't vibrate. 00:12:55.36\00:12:58.58 Do you think the balloon is gonna sound like a rocket? 00:12:59.07\00:13:00.95 No. No, not if they can vibrate, so here we gonna 00:13:01.63\00:13:04.34 take this right here. Can you cut that for me? 00:13:04.37\00:13:06.72 We are gonna cut just this balloon in, 00:13:07.05\00:13:09.36 just a valve in off. We are gonna shorten it 00:13:09.39\00:13:11.47 up a little bit. So, put just cut it right between 00:13:11.50\00:13:14.46 my fingers, are you ready? Yeah. 00:13:14.49\00:13:17.21 Alright, do you think it's gonna make a sound? No. 00:13:17.24\00:13:19.07 How about the count down, three, 00:13:19.10\00:13:20.59 two, one, and there it goes. 00:13:20.62\00:13:23.27 Wow! Wow! Did it, it did make a sound at all did it. 00:13:26.87\00:13:29.41 No, but you know what, if you know lot about 00:13:29.44\00:13:33.46 science you might be just like those scientist that 00:13:33.49\00:13:35.91 came up with that balloon, everybody wants 00:13:35.94\00:13:37.94 one because they go fairly straight and they make 00:13:37.97\00:13:41.24 a sound like a screaming, screaming rocket, 00:13:41.27\00:13:43.93 isn't that cool? Yeah. I think so too, so we 00:13:43.96\00:13:46.50 can have fun with vibrations and sound. 00:13:46.53\00:13:49.11 And sound makes up a lot of our life. 00:13:49.48\00:13:51.28 Because I love to listen to those sounds, don't you? 00:13:51.44\00:13:53.73 Yes. Children, I think we all listen to good things, 00:13:54.15\00:13:55.99 shouldn't we? Yeah, yeah. Pleasant sounds, pleasing 00:13:56.02\00:13:58.06 sounds. And you know when you listen to music 00:13:58.09\00:14:00.02 you shouldn't listen to a real loud, should you? 00:14:00.05\00:14:02.01 No. No, it can hurt our ears. Well, remember 00:14:02.54\00:14:06.21 boys and girls every time we study more 00:14:06.24\00:14:08.42 about science, we are really learning more 00:14:08.45\00:14:10.89 about our creator and that's God. 00:14:10.92\00:14:13.67 Hey, Simon how you are doing? 00:14:21.65\00:14:22.86 I'm doing great. Well, I'm forgiven 00:14:22.89\00:14:24.96 I'm not in debt, I'm free. Wait a minute, calm 00:14:25.08\00:14:27.89 down little bit. How can I calm down? 00:14:27.92\00:14:29.58 What debt, what do you talking about? 00:14:30.36\00:14:31.92 Well, I owed the king 10,000 talents. 00:14:31.95\00:14:36.45 Ten thousand? I kept taking and taking 00:14:36.48\00:14:41.03 and not paying back. And I got into a terrible 00:14:41.40\00:14:44.18 situation. But why did you keep going back over 00:14:44.21\00:14:47.19 and over and again? Good question! 00:14:47.22\00:14:49.30 But the king, the king, what kind of man is he? 00:14:49.93\00:14:52.50 The king, well I didn't have much relationship with. 00:14:52.53\00:14:55.11 I'm now discovering he is gracious, he is patient, 00:14:55.54\00:14:59.40 he is forgiving. Now, you are telling me 00:14:59.43\00:15:01.56 someone that you hardly knew, yes, forgave you 00:15:01.59\00:15:04.48 10,000. Yes, I could have lost my wife, 00:15:04.51\00:15:07.61 my children, my home, everything 00:15:07.97\00:15:10.80 I owed everything. What a gracious king, 00:15:11.16\00:15:14.50 hey Simon is that Rubin over there? 00:15:14.93\00:15:17.67 Rubin? Yeah, Rubin. 00:15:17.70\00:15:18.89 Excuse me, just a minute. But wait a minute. 00:15:19.27\00:15:20.87 I need to talk to Rubin. Well, well, well, well 00:15:20.90\00:15:26.60 Rubin. Yes, sir. You haven't been hanging 00:15:26.63\00:15:29.41 around too much, have you? 00:15:29.44\00:15:30.72 No Simon, I haven't. I wonder why? 00:15:30.75\00:15:32.80 Well, I just had things I have had to do. 00:15:33.41\00:15:35.11 Yeah, well that hasn't been paying back money has it? 00:15:35.14\00:15:38.10 Well, I haven't got it right. 00:15:38.36\00:15:39.44 Exactly, you haven't got it, have you? 00:15:39.47\00:15:41.94 No, I haven't got it. You know, how much 00:15:41.97\00:15:43.36 time I have given you. But if you just give me 00:15:43.39\00:15:45.62 time. How much time? Just a little time. 00:15:45.65\00:15:48.95 Yeah, that what you have a little time. 00:15:48.98\00:15:50.89 Guard, I want no mercy. Let's take him to jail, 00:15:51.84\00:15:57.20 take him, go, but listen, I have, move, I have, move. 00:15:58.12\00:16:03.05 Simon didn't just say that the king have forgiven 00:16:04.89\00:16:09.84 you a huge debt. You didn't show him any 00:16:09.87\00:16:14.16 mercy what so over. He owed a lot of money. 00:16:14.19\00:16:17.21 But if the king showed you mercy. 00:16:17.82\00:16:19.81 Thank you, king. He owed me money. 00:16:19.84\00:16:21.98 But you should have, poor Rubin, no mercy. 00:16:22.01\00:16:25.70 There is the king. Simon, Simon, I have 00:16:31.10\00:16:35.87 heard that you have not shown mercy to your 00:16:35.90\00:16:38.94 servant. Therefore, I recind my mercy to you. 00:16:38.97\00:16:44.13 And I decree that you shall go to prison until 00:16:45.37\00:16:49.43 your debt is paid in full. Guard, guard arrest 00:16:50.15\00:16:56.80 him, put him in prison. I need more time. 00:16:56.83\00:17:00.41 Benjamin tell my wife go talk to the king, 00:17:01.09\00:17:03.24 I don't need to go, I don't. Oh! Simon, poor Simon, 00:17:03.47\00:17:12.12 I have learned such a valuable lesson today, 00:17:14.16\00:17:16.40 if God in his love and mercy can forgive me. 00:17:17.66\00:17:21.56 I must learn to forgive others. I have got to tell 00:17:22.99\00:17:27.05 this to my family, I have got to 00:17:27.08\00:17:28.96 share this with my family. 00:17:28.99\00:17:30.06 Hi, boys and girls, it's time for Ms. Brenda's 00:19:35.98\00:19:38.20 Book of the Day. And today's book is called 00:19:38.34\00:19:43.08 Good as Gold by Heather Grovet. 00:19:43.11\00:19:45.35 Boys and girls, if you like horses you're gonna 00:19:45.64\00:19:47.60 want to get this book. Well, today is a very 00:19:47.63\00:19:50.22 special program because I have somebody very 00:19:50.25\00:19:53.00 special in the studio, somebody the whole 00:19:53.03\00:19:55.26 world loves, she came to Kids time when she was 00:19:55.29\00:19:58.24 just seven years old and taped a program with me. 00:19:58.27\00:20:00.48 And today she is back, welcome to 00:20:00.82\00:20:02.93 the program Sarah. Thank you Sarah for 00:20:02.96\00:20:04.84 coming back to Kids time and you brought your 00:20:04.87\00:20:06.97 mom Denise with you today. Sarah how old are 00:20:07.00\00:20:09.68 you now? Twelve. Twelve and you just got 00:20:09.71\00:20:12.51 a great big praise report, should you let mom tells 00:20:12.54\00:20:14.87 us about it? Mom Sarah just had a recent checkup. 00:20:14.90\00:20:18.62 Yeah, she went in for brain tumor clinic 00:20:18.90\00:20:20.52 something she has to do all the time and they 00:20:20.55\00:20:23.92 said there is no sign of cancer coming back and 00:20:23.95\00:20:27.11 her, her chances of getting it back have 00:20:27.14\00:20:29.73 gotten a lot less. Oh! That's praise the 00:20:29.76\00:20:32.22 Lord. That's awesome because when you came 00:20:32.25\00:20:34.37 to Kids time before you, you told me something on 00:20:34.40\00:20:37.05 the program about yourself, what did you 00:20:37.08\00:20:38.31 tell me? Yeah. Do you remember you told me 00:20:38.34\00:20:41.23 that you had something wrong with you, and what 00:20:41.26\00:20:42.65 was wrong with you? I had, you had, I had a 00:20:42.68\00:20:47.16 cancer. You had cancer? And you had a brain 00:20:47.80\00:20:51.21 tumor and did you, and you had to have 00:20:51.24\00:20:53.58 surgery didn't you? Yes. And Jesus is really 00:20:53.61\00:20:56.50 healing you, isn't he? Yeah. Yeah, and now in 00:20:56.53\00:20:59.84 fact your doctors told you that you would never 00:20:59.87\00:21:01.85 walk again and you, you know, that Jesus did 00:21:01.88\00:21:05.62 something special because you not only 00:21:05.65\00:21:07.17 walk, you can run, and what else can you do? 00:21:07.20\00:21:10.23 You can ride a bike. You sent me a little. 00:21:12.36\00:21:15.44 And I can walk better. Yes, you can walk better 00:21:15.47\00:21:19.00 that's right. Because Ms. Brenda carried you on 00:21:19.03\00:21:21.35 program the last time didn't I and I didn't have 00:21:21.38\00:21:23.40 to carry you today, did I? You walked right in here 00:21:23.43\00:21:26.68 and, and I was so excited to see you. 00:21:26.71\00:21:28.95 And I also saw little video of you riding your 00:21:29.42\00:21:31.25 bike and so that was, I bet that surprised the doctors, 00:21:31.28\00:21:34.33 but you had a doctor that she wasn't very nice to 00:21:34.36\00:21:37.48 you, was she? What did she, what did she tell you? 00:21:37.51\00:21:39.70 That's my face is funny and it will be always be 00:21:40.96\00:21:47.30 funny and ugly all the time. She told you that 00:21:47.33\00:21:54.68 your face looked funny, it was always gonna look 00:21:54.71\00:21:56.61 funny and that you were always gonna look ugly. 00:21:56.64\00:21:58.54 That's a terrible thing to say, isn't it? Yeah. 00:21:58.57\00:22:00.80 And how did that make you feel? Sad. 00:22:00.83\00:22:03.21 Made you feel sad I, I think I would have gone 00:22:03.66\00:22:05.73 home and cried about it, did you? Yeah. But then 00:22:05.76\00:22:08.49 you, you, you shared some Ms. Brenda that 00:22:08.52\00:22:10.86 really touched my heart because you really prayed 00:22:10.89\00:22:13.81 for her, and God gave you a love in your heart for 00:22:13.84\00:22:16.61 her, didn't you? And, and you, you wanted to be a 00:22:16.64\00:22:20.57 witness to her. And mom share with us 00:22:20.60\00:22:22.55 Sarah, what Sarah told you? 00:22:22.58\00:22:24.27 Well, when we found out, we would have to go back 00:22:24.61\00:22:26.84 to this doctor. Sarah said, well mom I don't think 00:22:26.87\00:22:29.55 we should have fired her because if, if we don't go 00:22:29.58\00:22:32.11 back who is gonna tell her about Jesus. 00:22:32.14\00:22:34.09 Oh! And so now, you get a chance to go back and 00:22:34.62\00:22:37.98 see the doctor and isn't she is gonna be surprised 00:22:38.01\00:22:40.77 to see you that you are walking and running and 00:22:40.80\00:22:42.96 riding your bike. That is so exciting. Well, Sarah 00:22:42.99\00:22:47.73 what would you tell boys and girls that look 00:22:47.76\00:22:50.40 different, what would you say to them? 00:22:50.43\00:22:51.84 Their face is pretty and Jesus made it. 00:22:53.22\00:22:59.24 That's right, because if Jesus made our faces 00:22:59.48\00:23:01.62 they are beautiful, right? And Jesus did make our 00:23:01.65\00:23:04.54 faces. Well, Sarah I have a letter here I would like 00:23:04.57\00:23:07.98 to read. And this letter is from Amy, she is from 00:23:08.01\00:23:12.57 Michigan. Can you hold, Oh! She brought us a 00:23:12.60\00:23:14.43 picture, I love your pictures boys and girls. 00:23:14.46\00:23:16.08 Can you hold that picture up for me Sarah? Yeah. 00:23:16.11\00:23:17.84 Okay, and this girl says, Dear Ms. Brenda, how 00:23:18.39\00:23:22.91 are you? I watch your show all the time and 00:23:22.94\00:23:26.20 I love to share Jesus with my friends and I tell them 00:23:26.23\00:23:29.06 about Christian clubs like Kids Club.
