00:03 It's time to share there's a world out there looking
00:07 for a friend like Jesus, it's time to share 00:11 there's a world out there. Let's tell them that He 00:14 loves us so. Let's tell them that He loves 00:18 us so. Kids Time, Kids Time, Kids Time. 00:25 Hi boys and girls, have you ever wished you could 00:26 just sit at the feet of Jesus and hear him tell all the 00:29 stories about when he was here on earth, 00:31 and just think of the questions you might ask. 00:34 I can't wait to see Jesus in heaven and ask him so many 00:37 question I have for him, but in the mean time all 00:41 my most important questions are answered right 00:43 in this book. This precious book, the Bible, 00:46 it's just full of stories of people who saw and heard 00:49 Jesus, and they witnessed his miracles, 00:52 and they heard him tell his stories. 00:54 Some of them traveled with him from town to town 00:56 listening to the sermons, even getting fed by him 00:59 when they were hungry. But they also witnessed 01:02 something else. Some of them saw Jesus betrayed 01:06 by a friend. They watched as Jesus was questioned 01:09 and beaten and sentenced to death. And you know what, 01:11 they stood by as he struggled to carry his cross 01:14 up the hill, amidst all the jeering angry crowds. 01:19 They watched as Jesus was nailed to the cross, 01:21 and they noticed as the sky darkened, and 01:24 Jesus took his last breath. And many of those who 01:28 had not formerly believed he was the messiah, 01:30 they did come to believe because of what they saw. 01:33 In today's Bible story we are going to hear the story 01:36 told by someone who actually helped put Jesus 01:39 to death. We'll hear of how that experience changed 01:42 him and made him a believer. As you listen to this story, 01:45 maybe your heart will be changed too. Boys and girls, 01:48 I want you to ask Jesus to come into your heart right 01:51 now today because Jesus is coming very soon, 01:55 and he wants you to be ready when he comes. 01:57 So I ask that you just stop and take a moment, 01:59 tell Jesus how much you love him, and that you want 02:03 him to have first place in your heart. 02:06 But first now before we go to the Bible story, 02:08 lets go the garden with Nature Dan. 02:17 Hello boys and girls, welcome back to my garden. 02:20 In my garden today we are going to be looking a very, 02:22 very special type of a tree. This is what we call, 02:26 do you guys know what kind of tree this is. 02:29 Sycamore tree. Wow! You guys are so sharp, 02:33 you know about everything, that's right sycamore trees 02:35 are one of my favorite tree. It is so pretty, 02:39 and it make a beautiful shade in. Hey wait a minute, 02:41 the sycamore tree is found in the Bible. 02:45 You know it's associated with somebody who was that? 02:49 Zacchaeus. You guys do know your Bible, 02:53 that's very good. Zacchaeus was a cool guy, 02:56 he was real short, he was a tax collector. 02:59 Oh man people did not like tax collectors in those days. 03:02 Zacchaeus read about Jesus was coming and he wanted 03:06 be able to see Jesus, so what happened, 03:09 he decided to climb up the sycamore tree. 03:13 The sycamore tree, why would he choose a sycamore tree? 03:17 Because it's so tall. Yeah, you're right, 03:19 they get so big, they get really tall, 03:22 and they grew up really high. So he got went up 03:24 there and Jesus walked underneath the tree 03:28 and he looked and he looked up and he says Zacchaeus, 03:31 come down here. Yeah and he went to his house, 03:36 so I am telling you the sycamore tree is an 03:38 important tree. Its found all over the world, 03:41 and the really neat thing about the sycamore tree 03:44 is they get these really cool seeds and they're like 03:47 a ball, like a ball that hangs down and all these 03:51 little bumps on the side, each of those little bumps 03:53 is a seed. Yeah and when it falls down in the river, 03:57 when it was down in the water, 03:59 and the water flows down all of those seeds collect 04:02 on the shore. What's going to happen to the seeds 04:05 when they come to be ripe? They will grow. 04:07 They're going to grow, and they're going to become 04:09 a big old sycamore tree. Sycamore trees get really 04:13 big around too. Yeah, they get really wide yeah, 04:17 and inside of those sycamore trees, sometimes 04:19 they become hollow. And the early pioneers 04:23 in our country here, they used to take and they 04:26 put their grain, and their seeds inside those trees 04:30 to protect them from the weather, 04:31 because instead of building big old silos, 04:34 they would use these things. Yeah that's a very cool 04:37 thing to do. Now sycamore trees, you can always spot 04:42 them because their bark is kind of mottled, 04:44 that means it's dark and light, and medium, 04:47 it's a really neat tree. Well boys and girls, i want to 04:50 encourage you everyday to sow the seeds of god's love. 05:02 A merry heart does good like medicine: 05:05 but a broken spirit dries the bones, Proverbs 17:22. 05:18 There's something quite peculiar 05:20 About this world of ours. 05:23 Sometimes you live in sunshine bright 05:26 Sometimes you live in showers. 05:28 But if you would keep happy 05:31 When things are looking sad, 05:33 Just lift the corners of your mouth 05:36 And make believe you're glad. 05:39 And smile, smile, smile And keep right on a-smiling. 05:46 Smile, smile, smile And clouds will go away. 05:51 Smile, smile, smile It's better far than pining. 05:56 You'll never mind the shadows on a sunny day. 06:02 Sometimes you meet good people who always 06:06 act so rude, they don't like this, they don't like that, 06:10 no matter what you do, like they never outright 06:14 seem to what may they really say, 06:17 but when you start to do right things, 06:20 they want a different way. And smile, smile, smile 06:28 And keep right on a-smiling. Smile, smile, smile 06:32 And clouds will go away. Smile, smile, smile 06:37 It's better far than pining. 06:40 You'll never mind the shadows on a sunny day. 06:55 Welcome to Talk Time, I am so excited boys and girls 06:58 do you know why? Because Pastor C.A. 07:01 is here. Hi Pastor C.A. Hello Ms. Brenda, how are you? 07:04 Oh I am doing good, and I always get excited 07:06 when you're here with me on Talk Time Pastor C.A. 07:08 because I love your answers to these questions. 07:10 It's my pleasure to be here. Well I am going to just pull 07:13 the first one out, and we'll see what the question is. 07:17 This one says are people burning in hell right now? 07:21 No, the answer is no. If you get to First Thessalonians 07:24 4:16, that's one of the longer titles in the Bible. 07:27 The book is not that long. It talks about the voice 07:30 of Christ, and dead in Christ rising first. 07:32 So when we die, we go the grave, 07:34 and we wait there till Jesus calls us to life at his 07:38 second coming. We know that the dead in Christ 07:39 will rise first. So no one is burning in hell now, 07:42 that's not going on right now. Praise the Lord. 07:44 Praise the Lord. Hell will burn at a later time, 07:47 but no one is burning in hell right now, 07:48 and we thank the Lord for that. We'll just, 07:50 when we die we go to sleep, and we wait for Christ 07:52 to call us to life. That's a good answer. 07:54 You know I have a little girl that wrote and told me 07:56 that she doesn't have much money, 07:58 and she has to save to buy candles to burn 08:00 so her grandma won't be in hell. 08:02 What do you say about that. 08:04 No, the Lord says if you believe on me, 08:06 you will have eternal life. Candles won't help you, 08:09 those kind of things don't help, some churches have 08:13 brought those kinds of things in, but the Bible 08:15 says that if you believe on Jesus Christ, 08:17 that's your guarantee of eternal life, 08:19 not candle burning. Okay, alright. And next question, 08:22 it says oh this is good. It says, do I have to be nice 08:25 to everyone. My teacher is really, really mean. 08:32 So many of the prophets and new chapter writers 08:34 dealt with that same idea, the Bible says, 08:37 he that loveth not knoweth not God, for God is love. 08:40 So we who love God have to love each other, 08:45 even though people are not nice to us, that's how 08:48 we show Jesus in our life. The Bible asked the question 08:50 if you love only those who love you, or if you do good 08:52 to those who just do good to you, 08:54 you haven't really done anything. The real test 08:57 Ms. Brenda is loving those who don't love you, 08:59 and treating people kind who don't treat you kind, 09:01 and not getting vengeance 'cause vengeance 09:03 belongs to the Lord. That's right. 09:05 So yes, you have to love those who don't love you. 09:08 And sometimes if you love them enough, 09:09 they will love you after a while. 09:11 Yeah, you know what I suggested to this little boy, 09:13 he was the boy that wrote this if may be he just 09:16 starts doing some really nice things for his teacher, 09:18 I wonder how long he is going to think that teacher's 09:20 still mean. Yeah, that's a good idea 'cause 09:22 I suppose if he does nice things to that teacher, 09:24 that teacher will be going to do nice things back to him. 09:26 That's right. That's way love works. 09:27 That's the way love works. Okay, another question, 09:29 it says. If Jesus loves us so much, 09:32 and wants us to be with him, 09:33 then why doesn't he come back right now? 09:35 Oh that's a good question. The fact that Christ 09:40 loves us so much is why he is waiting, 09:42 because he loves everybody, and there are some 09:44 people who don't know him yet 09:46 Mr. Brenda. There are some people who haven't 09:48 heard about Jesus yet, who live in far off lands, 09:50 and the Lord wants them to have a chance to know 09:53 about him too. So, he is waiting for those of us 09:55 who love him to tell those who don't love him. 09:57 And some of these people are not even in far off 09:59 lands; they're right here in this country. 10:00 They may go to school with us, or be at work with us, 10:02 and they haven't heard about Jesus. 10:04 So it's our job to tell them about Jesus and that 10:08 will make Christ coming even quicker. 10:10 That's wonderful. Okay, I think we have time 10:12 for one more question. It says in the Bible it says 10:15 asking you shall receive; I looked it up, 10:17 so I know is that I asked for a motor bike, 10:20 but I didn't get it, how come? 10:24 There is a text in the New Testament where God 10:26 says sometimes we ask for the wrong things. 10:28 We ask for selfish things, we ask for things that 10:31 are not going to help us. God knows better than 10:33 we do, and something he says yes to and somethings 10:37 he says no to, and somethings he says wait to, 10:40 so maybe this young person is a little young for a 10:43 motor bike. I had a motor cycle when I was younger, 10:44 and I think I might have been a little too young 10:46 for it too because I had a couple of spills but 10:49 sometimes God says no and sometimes he says 10:52 wait a little while. So may be when he's a little 10:54 older and a little better able to handle a big 10:57 bike like that, may be God will allow then, 10:59 but everything we ask we do not get, sometimes 11:01 God says wait a little while, and then sometimes 11:03 God says no because God knows what's best. 11:06 Oh that's wonderful. Well, you know I am so 11:07 disappointed, but we are all out of time. Oh boy. 11:10 Thank you for being with us here today. 11:11 You know boys and girls if you have a question 11:13 for Pastor C.A. just send it to me here at Kids Time, 11:16 and I'll make sure that you get your questions 11:18 answered because your questions are important 11:20 to us, and your questions are important to Jesus. 11:47 Sometimes everything is well and really I have 11:52 all that I need, My friends are happy to be with me, 11:57 yes and sometimes everything is well. 12:30 Hallelujah, God is by my side. 12:31 Sometimes everything is well, life is like a star, 12:37 and I want to climb. My friends are all around 12:42 they say why I feel Yes, sometimes 12:46 everything is well. Over my Lord, my God and me. 13:01 Knocking there before it gets me I know 13:05 he's there to take care of all, that's why 13:09 when everything is where Lord found, 13:11 I really fully am his love. Hallelujah God is by my side, 13:18 God's by my side. Hallelujah, 13:20 God is by my side. 13:56 Priest Levi! Priest Levi 13:58 Oh Nathaniels, good to see you. 14:00 Oh I've been wanting to see you too, 14:01 I had a question that it's been burning on my heart 14:04 that I wanted to ask you about. What? 14:07 Well, the last time we were with Jesus in that 14:09 upper room for the passover meal? Yeah. 14:11 Jesus said to Judas what thou dost, 14:13 do quickly and he left, and we weren't sure 14:17 what he was going out for. Can you fill me in? 14:20 Well let me tell you, Judas came to the Sanhedrin 14:24 to complete the deal that he had been 14:26 working with, with the priest for a long time, 14:30 to sell Jesus for thirty pieces of silver. 14:34 Judas has been working previously to this. 14:36 Yes, and this night he came to us and told us 14:40 that he could us right to where Jesus was. 14:43 And he did it for just thirty pieces of silver. 14:45 Thirty pieces of silver, just the price of a slave. 14:47 We were willing to pay him much more than that, 14:50 that's all he was planning, and he came and told us 14:55 where we should go, and he took us there, 14:59 took us right up to where Jesus was and as you 15:02 remember when we got there, there was a great 15:05 bright light and we all fell back, and we were 15:09 frightened, but the light went away and we 15:12 all got our courage up and stood up again 15:14 and Judas went right up to Jesus and kissed him, 15:18 that let us know who Jesus was. 15:20 So he betrayed our Lord with a kiss, 15:22 a sign of friendship. Just a kiss. 15:27 And then you all fled you remember. 15:29 Oh we were so afraid, we just ran away. 15:32 And so we took Jesus down across the Cedron 15:36 and to the palace where Ananias was, 15:40 to try him before Ananias and Ananias couldn't 15:43 get anywhere with convicting Jesus. 15:45 So we took him over to Caiaphas, and Caiaphas got 15:50 so angry at Jesus, because he wouldn't answer him. 15:53 But you know that shouldn't have been happening 15:55 should it, don't they, isn't trials at night illegal. 15:58 Absolutely, it should never have happened that way. 16:00 It never should have happened in the night time, 16:03 but they didn't want anyone to know for fear 16:05 that the people would come and take him away. 16:08 Of course we were also afraid that we weren't 16:10 even at the trial. Well you know Judas came. 16:13 He was at the trial. Judas came back and he 16:15 cried out I have betrayed innocent blood, 16:18 and he threw down the thirty pieces of silver 16:22 right at Caiaphas. Well that should have 16:23 ended the trial right then. 16:25 Absolutely it should have, but Caiaphas said 16:27 that's up to you, you go take care of that. 16:30 And so Judas ran out of the building and we took 16:35 Jesus from there over to Pilate's, 16:39 to be tried before Pilate, because we have to try 16:41 him before the Romans. Right. 16:43 To be convicted so we could put him on the cross, 16:46 and then we took him from Pilate up to Herod 16:50 because Pilot send him to Herod, and Herod 16:52 send him they couldn't find anything against him, 16:56 so they send him back to Pilate. 16:57 Now, all three of those trials they declared 17:01 him innocent; they should have let him go. 17:02 Everyone of them declared him innocent, 17:05 even Pilate said I couldn't find anything with this man, 17:07 but he said go ahead and crucify him. 17:12 It's an amazing thing what happened, 17:15 and then you know on the way up to the crucifixion, 17:19 you remember what we saw hanging in the 17:22 tree was Judas had hung himself and the rope 17:26 hadn't been strong enough, so it fell. 17:28 I remember that, the dogs were licking his blood. 17:30 Yes, and so we had to get him out of there because 17:33 he was taking all the attention, 17:34 so we took him off quickly, and buried him as quick 17:37 as we good. So that's what happened. 17:40 That's what happened to Judas, but do you know 17:42 at that trial we saw so many things that convinced 17:48 some of us priests that Jesus was really who he said 17:52 he was, the Messiah, and it has been a great for us 17:58 to know that Jesus was the messiah, 18:01 and we have joined you people. 18:03 It's so good to have you with us, 18:05 and we are so sorry for what Judas did. 18:09 It was a terrible thing that Judas did. Yes. 18:12 But he is gone now, and we have Jesus to worship 18:17 and to praise. And Jesus is still with us. 18:20 Thank you Priest Levi for filling me on those details. 18:22 Well you have a good day, and say hi to the rest 18:26 of the disciples from me. I will, thank you. 18:29 Thank you. God bless you. You too. 20:52 It's time for Ms. Brenda's book of the day, 20:55 and boys and girls what a wonderful book this 20:58 is to you.
