00:03 It's time to share there is a world out there looking
00:07 for a friend like Jesus, it's time to share there
00:12 is a world out there. Let's tell them that He loves
00:15 us so. Let's tell them that He loves us so.
00:20 Kids time, Kids time, Kids time.
00:24 Hi boys and girls, I am sure you have notice
00:26 that some people are really good at telling stories
00:29 aren't they? Do you when they start to speak you
00:31 just can't help but listen. Grandmas and grandpas
00:34 are often pretty good storytellers and do you
00:36 why? That's because they've lived so long and
00:39 they just have lots of stories to tell.
00:41 You could learn a lot from their stories about life
00:43 and faith and a whole lot more. Well, today you'll get
00:47 to hear a grandpa tell his grandchildren a story
00:50 from the Bible. Now, have anyone ever warned
00:52 you not to look at the Sun, one little girl refused
00:55 to listen to that warning and she actually went blind
00:58 from staring at the sun. You know when someone
01:01 tells you boys and girls not to do something they
01:04 usually have a very good reason for that.
01:06 And you're wise to listen to them, the Bible warns us
01:09 to be careful what we look at because the things
01:12 we see can change us. They can change us for good
01:15 or bad, now that includes the books that we read
01:18 and the Television shows that we watch and how
01:21 careful are you boys and girls to turn your faces
01:24 from evil. I want to know are you strong enough
01:26 to stand up and walk away instead of watching
01:28 something that you know Jesus would never want
01:31 you to watch, are you? Well, I guess if I can give
01:34 today's Bible story a title I think I would call it,
01:38 don't look back. You see it's not enough just a walk
01:41 away from evil, is it? It's also important to resist
01:44 the urge to look back and you look back it longingly
01:48 like you really don't want to give it up, that's not
01:50 enough I say. Well, you are going to see why
01:52 in just a little bit but first let's see what
01:55 Nature Dan has for us in the garden.
02:04 Welcome boys and girls to my orchard, wow.
02:09 Orchard, wait a minute, what's an orchard,
02:11 does anybody know? A grove of trees,
02:13 a grove of trees very good. But oh a special
02:15 kind of trees, you know a lot of people,
02:17 fruit trees exactly right. Fruit trees,
02:19 because most people think of trees as places
02:21 while they make wood for us, for our furniture
02:24 and they provide shade that we get comfortable
02:26 underneath when it's a really hot summer day,
02:29 but they also can provide fruit, in fact what are some
02:32 of your favorite types of fruits, plumps,
02:34 who here likes plumps, plumps, hey I love plumps
02:40 and I can plump sauce out of it and plump pudding
02:42 and oh yeah, but what other kinds of trees might
02:46 I have in, peach trees' very good, apples any others
02:50 you can think of, pears, pears, yeah I've got pear
02:54 trees and peach trees and plump trees and oh
02:58 I saw there are some more too, there is a little
02:59 red fruit, what kind would that be, cherry,
03:02 cherry very good and then is another one that
03:05 I make delicious pies out of, apple, apples, exactly
03:10 right yeah, apple trees and I have another one a very
03:14 rare kind of a tree that I have in my orchard.
03:17 Most people don't grow it, it's a tree called Pawpaw.
03:21 Yes, Pawpaw funny sound, yeah, not many people
03:25 grow Pawpaws, but a Pawpaw is a
03:28 wonderful tree and it's a native plant that mean's
03:31 its found growing here in North America,
03:33 we didn't imported it in and like buried it and make
03:37 it just right or any thing, this is a tree that you
03:38 can find growing by stream beds and the fruit tastes
03:42 like, are you ready for this, bananas. Yeah,
03:47 they grow and they taste like bananas,
03:50 the trick is to get them before the wild critters get
03:53 them. So, I made sure that I planted some in my
03:55 garden right now, in my orchard I have got some
03:58 pawpaw trees. So, hopefully one of these days
04:01 I am going to be able harvest some Pawpaws.
04:03 Boys and girls, I want to encourage you
04:06 everyday to sow the seeds of God's love.
04:17 It is good to give thanks to the Lord,
04:19 and to sing praises to Your name, O Most High;
04:24 To declare Your lovingkindness in the
04:26 morning. And Your faithfulness every night.
04:30 Psalm 92:1. Jesus Jesus Jesus in the mornin
04:44 Jesus at the noon time Jesus, Jesus
04:51 Jesus when the sun goes down love Him love Him
05:00 love Him in the morning love Him at the noon time
05:04 love Him love Him love Him when the sun goes down
05:13 serve Him serve Him serve Him in the morning
05:19 serve Him at the noon time serve Him serve Him
05:27 serve Him when the sun goes down. praise Him praise Him
05:36 praise Him in the morning praise Him at the noon time
05:40 praise Him praise Him praise Him when the sun
05:46 goes down. Praise Him when the sun goes down.
06:03 Welcome to Talk Time and I am so excited boys and girls,
06:07 I am here with Pastor John Lomacang.
06:09 Hi Pastor John, good to be here Brenda,
06:11 we're gonna eat today, the bread of life,
06:12 the best bread ever made the Lord made it and
06:14 here it is let's eat together. Alright,
06:16 you have lots of answers for us, oh I hope so and here
06:19 are all the answers to life, let's see what we can find
06:21 them. Okay, let's go with the first question then,
06:24 okay. It says my ma, oh Pastor John this is
06:27 a sad one, it says my mom has cancer and cries
06:29 all the time, some times my dad cries too.
06:32 I'm so afraid she will die I am praying so hard,
06:36 do you think God knows about my mom and Miss Brenda,
06:40 can you please pray I know that if you pray Jesus
06:43 will hear. Well, you know I want to first say
06:46 that's a sad thing when you think about anybody
06:47 slipping away because of illness and because of death.
06:50 I lost a mother and a stepmother and a
06:53 stepfather to illness and you know the Lord
06:55 feels our pain and understands that but you
06:57 know when we pray I want to encourage you,
06:59 the Bible says in Psalms 34 Verses 17 and 18.
07:03 The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears,
07:05 and delivers that person out of all their troubles.
07:08 Peter when he prayed the prayer Lord save me,
07:11 he didn't say well I am about to drown could someone
07:13 pray for me. I want to you know that when you pray
07:16 a simple prayer of faith the Lord will hear you and
07:19 answer your prayers. Now he answers in a number
07:21 of ways, one he says yes, sometimes he says no,
07:24 and sometimes he says wait and waiting is the part
07:27 that's difficult for us, he may mean wait till the
07:30 second coming and here's the good news.
07:32 You know there are many people that have died
07:34 many Christians thousands, millions,
07:36 billions and the number one cause of death
07:39 is lack of life. We just sometimes just get old
07:42 and wear away. So, the Lord understands that
07:44 in this world that there are many people die some
07:46 because of illness. So I want to pray this young person
07:49 will realize that God has the best answer,
07:51 if and sadly enough, if sickness claims your mom's
07:56 life that is not God's plan, that's because of sin
07:58 but the Lord has the final answer,
08:01 and the Bible says when he comes back,
08:02 First Thessalonians chapter 4 verse 13-18 the dead
08:06 in Christ going to arise and we are going to be
08:09 with Lord forever and I am looking forward to that day
08:11 to see both of my moms, my real mom and my
08:13 step-mom and my step-dad and all my loved ones
08:16 and friends that are now waiting for the Lord
08:18 to come. So illness is the not the final thing and
08:21 boys and girls remember this God has the best answer
08:23 and he will accept your prayers when you pray.
08:25 You know that's the part of our question I really
08:29 like you to deal with to make really abundantly
08:31 clear that they don't need Miss Brenda to pray
08:33 I am happy when I do pray for everyone of
08:35 these kids, but these children can,
08:37 everyone of us can pray ourselves, can't we?
08:40 Oh as a matter of fact the Bible makes it clear here
08:42 in Psalms 34 verse 19 it says, Many are the
08:47 afflictions of the righteous, but the LORD delivers
08:50 him out of them all, but it says in verse 17,
08:52 The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears.
08:54 So if you are walking in Christ if you are his child
08:58 all you have to do say Lord and he will listen to you,
09:01 he'll hear you, he'll interpret your prayers
09:03 and he'll respond for the best of your good
09:07 and for the glory of his Kingdom. That's right I think
09:10 that's so important because it doesn't mean that
09:11 Jesus hears my prayer or your prayer or
09:14 anyone else's right? Exactly, exactly, we can all
09:16 go to Jesus. This question is very insightful,
09:19 it says why did Jesus have to die? You know the
09:21 favorite text, I don't know how we all know this
09:23 text John 3:16, it seems like we all taught this from
09:27 the day that we are born and the reason is there
09:30 are two things that we have to decide either
09:32 we die for our sins or somebody has to die
09:34 for our sins. And the Bible says for God so loved
09:37 he didn't just loved the world, he didn't just liked
09:39 the world as the kids in California they said
09:42 that's so rattle, that's so amazing,
09:44 well that's so cool the Bible says God so loved the
09:48 world that he gave his only begotten son,
09:49 so that we won't have to die for our sin,
09:52 he paid the price. Praise the Lord.
09:54 He says I'll die for you so that you can live with me
09:57 eternally and I am glad that although I die daily
10:01 to my own desires I won't have to die eternally,
10:04 because God's love is so great that's the reason why
10:07 Jesus decided no one forced him to do it, that's right,
10:10 that's right, he decided out of love for us to give
10:12 his life to pay for our debt, so that we won't have
10:15 to pay our own debt so I could say today I am out
10:18 of debt. He paid the greatest price, Praise the Lord.
10:21 And you know what I really just amazed at that even
10:23 if there had been only one person, that's right,
10:26 Jesus would have gave his life for just even one person.
10:28 You know as matter of fact in the Bible,
10:30 the story of the lost sheep, 99 were not missing,
10:33 one was and Jesus went out and searched for that
10:36 sheep and picked it up, put it on his bosom
10:38 and cuddled it, he didn't limp it back, he didn't say
10:40 where you going or why you strayed away.
10:42 He put that sheep on his bosom carried back
10:45 to the fold and rejoiced when they got back
10:48 that all the 99 were there, they were glad that all
10:51 100 were found and safe, that's the kind of God we
10:54 serve, Amen, amazing. I am so glad you brought
10:56 that out, because it does show so clearly God's
10:59 love for us. That's right just for one of us, I am so
11:01 disappointed that's all the time we have today Pastor
11:04 John, well praise the Lord. Boys and girls if you have
11:05 a question for Pastor John just send it to me here
11:08 at Kids Time and I'll make sure that you get your
11:10 question answered, because your questions
11:12 are important to us and your
11:13 questions are important to Jesus
11:28 I have got an angel that follows me I have got an
11:34 angel that follows me each day when I sit
11:39 when I talk when I run and when I walk.
11:45 I have got an angel that follows me,
11:50 I know I am safe both day and night,
11:55 I know I am safe both day and night.
12:00 An angel walks right beside me so I am safe
12:06 both days and night. I have got an angel that
12:12 watches me, I have got an angel that watches me
12:18 each night when I sleeping really tight or I wake
12:24 up in a fright. I have got an angel
12:29 that watches me, I know I am safe both day and night,
12:37 I know I am safe both day and night.
12:41 An angel walks right beside me so
12:47 I am safe both days and night.
13:06 Grandpa, grandpa tell us a story.
13:10 Have you ever ridden a camel, oh, they're quite a ride,
13:15 have you ever held a little lamb, so cuddly and willy,
13:21 this is a story about camels and sheep and cattle.
13:27 Lot and Abraham had so many animals,
13:31 one day Abraham went to the Lot and said we've got
13:34 to split up, our shepherds are arguing about the land,
13:38 you know then they were just, I want my sheep
13:41 to have that part of the grass and I want,
13:43 they didn't have enough grass or they were
13:45 arguing about where they would water their
13:47 animals, it just wasn't good. That must not have
13:50 been pleasant, it wasn't, believe me and so Lot looked
13:54 at the city of Sodom, it looked good from a distant
13:56 he said. I'll take this part of the land.
14:00 It was good rowing hills and water,
14:01 quite frankly he was being selfish, that's not good.
14:05 He wondered what was best for him and he didn't
14:09 pray about it, he just made the decision and that's
14:12 a very important part in the story. All of us must pray,
14:15 exactly I don't know why he didn't pray,
14:17 sometimes may be people are so quick to make a decision,
14:20 they just don't think about it, they think they
14:24 can handle it on their own, that's right we must always
14:27 seek God's will first so. They really can't handle
14:31 anything on their own. Exactly, and so what
14:33 happened was they got over that way they started
14:37 going into that city which I said looked good from
14:40 a distance but I am afraid the people in the city
14:42 didn't know God, didn't worship God, didn't love God.
14:48 Oh dear, they shouldn't have moved near it.
14:51 They shouldn't moved near the city,
14:53 because his daughters started getting to know
14:55 some of those folks and that wasn't good.
14:58 So finally what happened was the city got worse
15:03 and worse, it wasn't safe for children to walk the
15:05 streets, it was just a bad, bad place and so God,
15:09 because they didn't know God, they didn't worship
15:12 God and it just grieved God's heart and so finally
15:16 the city had to be destroyed. And so the angels
15:18 said leave, Lot left, took his family with him and if
15:25 he had made a better decision for a better land
15:28 and stayed away from there he wouldn't have gone
15:32 through the heartache he went through.
15:34 Well what happened then? Well he just barely
15:37 got out of the city with his life and so I guess
15:41 the point I want you to catch is to always pray
15:46 before you make a decision ask God to help you with
15:50 what you should do in life. Listen, he'll tell us
15:53 and it's always good, He will tell us won't he?
15:55 He will tell us. Thanks for listening.
15:58 You better get going, I bet your mom's looking
16:00 for you. I'll see you later; oh thank you for
16:01 telling us the story, okay bye, bye.
16:20 16:20:3 [Foreign Language] 18:23:0
18:30 Hi boys and girls, I am here with Darren today
18:32 and he is going to help me telling you something very
18:34 special. Its time for Miss Brenda's book of the day.
18:40 And oh do I have a wonderful book for you today;
18:42 it's called Ellen White Trailblazer for God by Paul
18:45 B Ricchiuti. The year is 1884. Ellen White and a
18:49 group of her friends have just started a trip to
18:51 California. Now, this isn't the first time Ellen White
18:54 has had a long journey. She has traveled from New England
18:57 to Australia, all across the country to encourage
19:00 God's people and promote revival, even when her trails
19:05 lead her through suffering and in spite fragile health,
19:08 the death of James and her two sons and countless
19:11 other trials, this woman of God remained faithful
19:14 to her calling and blazed her trail of truth that millions
19:17 still follow today. You are going to want to read
19:20 this book, Ellen White Trailblazer for God by Paul
19:23 B Ricchiuti. Well boys and girls, I am very excited
19:27 about today's sharing time program because
19:28 I have so many cards and letters to share with you
19:31 and also a very special guest but before we talk to
19:35 our guest, I have somebody special on the phone
19:37 all the way from Cambridge, Idaho and we are going
19:42 to talk from right now, Ethan are you there?
19:44 Hi Miss Brenda. Hi Ethan, it's so good to talk to you,
19:47 can you tell me something, I want to know what is your
19:49 favorite thing about Kids Time. I like nature time,
19:55 nature time with Ranger Jim, yeah. Do you learn
19:58 a lot with that, yeah, you know when we learn about
20:01 nature we are learning more about God aren't
20:03 we? That's right. Well I understand you have got
20:06 a sister and a brother there with you can I talk to Cody,
20:08 sure. Okay. Hello, hi Cody, it's good to talk to you this
20:16 is Miss Brenda. Hi Miss Brenda, hi honey,
20:19 I wanted to know what do you do to share Jesus.
20:22 I help people when they're sick, well that's good
20:26 what kind of help do you give them I love,
20:31 my friends says that can help my grandmother
20:34 with the broken foot, oh that is a very wonderful
20:39 thing to do. You know even Jesus took care
20:41 of the sick, didn't he? Yes. Oh that's good can I talk
20:44 to your brother Shane and I want to encourage
20:45 you to keep sharing Jesus, okay, okay, alright.
20:49 Here he is, okay, hello, hi Shane, it's good to talk
20:53 to you this is Miss Brenda, hello. Tell me what do you
20:57 do to share Jesus? I go to my mom's college
21:01 and pass out letters and help my mom clean God's house.
21:05 You know that's a wonderful thing to do,
21:08 I am proud of you Shane. I want to encourage
21:10 you and your other sister and brother to keep
21:13 sharing Jesus everyday, everywhere you go alright.
21:15 Okay, alright bye, bye now. Bye, Bye. Oh that was good
21:21 and that was good I haven't heard one tell me they
21:23 clean God's house but that is wonderful where
21:26 people come and worship, so that's very important too.
21:29 Well I would like you to meet someone with me today,
21:31 and I have Darren with me. Hi Darren, hi Miss Brenda,
21:33 I am so good where are you from Darren?
21:35 I am from, we live about an hour from Nashville.
21:40 From Nashville, that's not too far away.
21:43 Can you tell me what is it that you do to share Jesus,
21:45 well I share Jesus by carrying these cards around
21:49 and right here, Can I see one of them?
21:51 It says right here you have been honored by a random
21:55 act of kindness and stapled to the back is an
22:00 amazing facts Bible study card and what I do is I look
22:04 for people to help people, like when they need an
22:07 umbrella ready or a door opened or something,
22:10 I help them and then at the end I give them a card.
22:14 So every time you do some nice for someone
22:16 you are giving this card, yes, oh that's wonderful.
22:19 Can you think of any neat experiences you might
22:22 have doing that? I have helped somebody with a flat
22:25 tire, we helped them fix their tire and a guy he
22:30 needed his car jumped and so we help them
22:33 and he wanted to pay me but I didn't take the money
22:35 and I gave him a card. Oh, that was wonderful,
22:39 I know that mad Jesus very happy.
22:41 Anytime we are kind to others it is an example
22:44 that Jesus set, isn't it? Yes, that's true.
22:46 How many of these you think you passed out.
22:48 I have passed out about 20, about 20 how many
22:51 do you wanna pass out? As many as I can.
22:54 Oh well praise the Lord for that. Isn't that a good
22:57 idea boys and girls? I am really proud of you Darren.
22:59 Can I have one of these, sure? Okay,
23:02 what act of kind you going to do. I've got to him on
23:06 the spot. I am just teasing, you know what I think,
23:09 Miss Brenda will, I know someone else you can share
23:12 this with and I had got this idea from a little
23:14 boy in Kids Time, how about that? Okay, alright.
23:17 Well I have a lot of cards and letters to here
23:19 to read and let's see the first one here from
23:22 Douglasville, Georgia and it's from Natasha.
23:25 And can you hold up for picture and I love that
23:27 picture. It says dear Miss Brenda my name is Natasha
23:31 and I am 6-year-old now and I share Jesus by sharing
23:34 my toys with my sisters. My favorite part in Kids
23:37 Time is story time and I learn so much about the Bible.
23:40 I love Kids Time and I'd like to have a Kids Club lessons,
23:44 thank you so much and then she drew a picture and boys
23:46 and girls I like you to see this picture,
23:48 she drew a picture of Miss Brenda right here and then
23:52 she's got all these kids around here listening,
23:54 I think I am telling them a story, aren't I? Well,
23:57 that's a very nice picture and what a wonderful
23:59 artist you are Natasha, thank you.
24:03 I have one letter here from Mike in San Antonio,
24:07 Texas and let's see what we have in Texas.
24:10 And it says dear Miss Brenda, could please read
24:13 this poem about Sarah the little girl that had cancer
24:17 from Idaho, who was on your make a wish foundation,
24:20 to be on your show. Thank you Mike.
24:24 Well he wrote a poem, and it looks like a long one,
24:26 but I will read a little bit of it, okay. It says like,
24:29 and just say you know boys and girls in case she
24:31 didn't see the make a wish program there is a
24:33 8-year-old girl from Idaho and her name was Sarah,
24:36 and Sarah if you're watching Miss Brenda loves
24:38 you and so does Jesus and she made a wish,
24:42 she has a brain tumor and she really wanted
24:44 to be on Kids Time and the make a wish foundation
24:46 of Idaho, made it possible for her to fly out here
24:49 with your family and be on Kids Time.
24:51 And someone must have seen that program,
24:52 and they're writing a letter it says like a sheep
24:55 in wolf's clothing you entered my heart,
24:57 like a lamb bleeding softly your voice rekindle
25:00 the spark, another lamb in another time who loved
